Up until a couple of years ago, or was it only last year? I forgot. No matter because the then top dog at the MET, the metropolitan police, was a man who claimed to be quite “proud” of being “politically correct.” When the new consrv. mayor of London took over after ousting a self confessed communist mayor, he threw the bum out. Hmm. Wait. This is England and generally they are somewhat more polite. The new mayor didn’t throw out Sir Ian Blair but he did allow him to quit the post. That man was probably the very worst thing that has ever happened to the police of this country, and they still have not recovered.
When I took the morning papers off the chair on the front porch, about the first story that caught my eye today was this.
Sir Ian Blair signed a formal agreement with an Islamic extremist to treat him as the Metropolitan Police’s “principal” representative of the Muslim community, it can be disclosed.

The activist, Azad Ali, was accepted by the Met as a trusted interlocutor. The force also agreed to give him information on forthcoming anti-terror raids. – Mr Ali has previously justified the killing of British troops in Iraq, believes al Qaeda is a “myth,” and has praised a key mentor of Osama bin Laden.
Mr Ali signed the deal, a copy of which has been seen by the Daily Telegraph, in his capacity as the then chairman of the Muslim Safety Forum – a body closely linked to the fundamentalist Islamic Forum of Europe (IFE).
The Muslim Safety Forum was set up, in its own words, to challenge the “unfair focus on the Muslim community when it came to policing activities and enforcement of anti- terror policing legislation.”
It was accepted by the police as a legitimate body. The agreement, dated December 2006 and personally signed by Mr Ali and Sir Ian, who was Commissioner of the Met at the time, states: “The Commissioner will recognise the MSF as the principal body in relation to Muslim community safety and security.”
Sir Ian or his deputy committed to meet Mr Ali and the MSF at least twice a year and to hold monthly meetings with the MSF at “New Scotland Yard or other suitable premises.”
The agreement says that the Met and MSF will “use the MSF as a consultation body to help formulate policy or practice.” and “progress an annual plan of work through agreed priority workstreams,” jointly led by Met and MSF representatives.
The Met also agreed to set up a four-strong panel with the MSF to offer the Muslim community a chance to comment on whether the information police had on a suspect was too flimsy and the consequences of a raid for community relations.
Mr Ali, one of the panel members, said at the time: “This will allow independent scrutiny of intelligence.”

Feb. 15A single mother-of-six is getting more than £80,000 a year from the taxpayer to live in a £2million mansion in an exclusive London suburb.
Essma Marjam, 34, is given almost £7,000 a month in housing benefits to pay the rent on the five-bedroom villa just yards from Sir Paul McCartney’s house and Lord’s cricket ground.
She also receives an estimated £15,000 a year in other payouts, such as child benefit, to help look after her children, aged from five months to 14.
The four-storey house in Maida Vale has five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a double living room, large fitted kitchen-diner with French doors on to the landscaped garden and a state-of-the art buzzer entry system.
Astonishingly, it is understood Miss Marjam found the house on the internet through a private letting agency, rather than waiting for Westminster council to give her a vacant property on their books.
She then applied to the council for the £1,600-a-week benefit - the maximum amount the council allows.
Miss Marjam said: ‘I moved here at the beginning of the month as I’m entitled to a five-bedroom house.
‘I was in a three-bedroom council house but I needed a bigger place once my new baby came along. So the council agreed to pay the £1,600 a week to a private landlord as they didn’t have any houses big enough.
‘I’m separated from my husband. He’s a solicitor in Derby, but I don’t know if he’s working at the moment. He doesn’t pay anything towards the kids. Things are quite difficult between us.
‘The house is lovely and very big, but I don’t have enough furniture to fill it.’
OH DEAR,OH DEAR. NOT ENOUGH FURNITURE? HUH? DON’T YOU FOLKS SIT ON FLOORS? WHATEVER. NO WORRY DEAR. THE ENGLISH TAXPAYER WILL FILL YOUR NEW HOME WITH ALL THE FURNITURE YOU NEED. JUST ASK. DEMAND. AND BE SURE TO SAY IT’S YOUR HUMAN AND CIVIL RIGHT. (oh yeah. hint. if anyone questions your request demand, simply tell em they are being racists. that’ll shut em up)
Taxpayers are also picking up the £6,400-a-month bill to house Nasra Warsame, her seven children and her elderly mother in central London, with Westminster council also providing Mrs Warsame’s husband and their eighth child with a two-bedroom flat nearby.
In total, 16 families are living in million-pound-plus London properties funded by the Local Housing Allowance.

Here We Go Again
The anti-whaling ship the Bob Barker and a Japanese harpoon boat collided in the icy waters off Antarctica on Saturday — the second major clash this year in the increasingly aggressive confrontations between the two sides.
No one was reportedly injured in the latest strike. The U.S.-based activist group Sea Shepherd, which sends vessels to confront the Japanese fleet each year, said a small hole was torn in the hull of its ship, but it was above the water line and the vessel was not in danger of sinking.
Sea Shepherd founder Captain Paul Watson said by satellite telephone that the Japanese ship rammed the Bob Barker — named after the U.S. game show host who donated millions to buy it for Sea Shepherd — as it blocked the slipway of the Japanese fleet’s factory ship.
Watson’s claim that the Bob Barker was deliberately hit could not be independently verified.
The Bob Barker sustained a 3-ft. long, 4-inch wide (1-meter long, 10-centimeter) gash in its hull. Welders aboard the ship were already working on patching the hole, and the Bob Barker would resume its pursuit of the whalers, Watson said.
While the typical laser pointer is labeled 5mW and is pretty harmless, you can buy green lasers 100 times as potent over the counter. You’ll never know if it’s a toy or an industrial weapon until it burns your eyes out.

The Democratic-controlled Senate has muscled through a plan to allow the government to go a whopping $1.9 trillion deeper in debt.
Senate Democrats needed all the 60 votes at their disposal Thursday to muscle through legislation allowing the government to go $1.9 trillion deeper in debt.
Democratic leaders were able to prevail on the politically volatile 60-39 vote only because Republican Sen.-elect Scott Brown of Massachusetts has yet to be seated. Republicans had insisted on a 60-vote, super-majority threshhold to pass the measure. An earlier test vote succeeded on a 60-40 vote.
The measure would would put the government on track for a national debt of $14.3 trillion—about $45,000 for every American—and it served as a vivid reminder of the United States’ dire fiscal straits.
The massive increase in the debt limit would allow majority Democrats to avoid another vote until after the midterm elections this fall. New estimates released by the Congressional Budget Office on Tuesday show that the U.S. this year could run a deficit matching last year’s record $1.4 trillion shortfall.
To win the votes of moderate Democrats, President Barack Obama promised to appoint a special task force to come up with a plan for dealing with the spiraling debt.
The current $12.4 trillion debt ceiling is expected to be reached in mid-February.
Torches? Check.

Britain is the one sinking ship where all the rats have stayed! -
This is not the first time I have posted that remark by a Brit now living in France and happy to be there.
This will not be the last time I use his (or her?) quote either, as long as there are judgments made like this one. At the very least, the very least, this animal should have had his eyes removed minus any pain killer. And oh yeah, he should have been fixed so that his victim would be the very last female he would ever enjoy again. Ever! Read this and if you are one who really thinks three years is any sort of punishment, then you’re no better then his fuckin lawyer. Who btw, I hope the very same happens to. We’ll then see how quick she is to take on a like case and defend vermin like this. Vermin like this have NO need of lawyers.
Boy, 13, who raped woman in front of his friends is jailed for just three years… because he said ‘sorry’

26th January 2010A boy of 13 who overpowered a woman then raped her in front of his two friends will spend just three years locked away for his crimes.
Balal Khan - thought to be one of the youngest convicted rapists in Britain - targeted the 20-year-old as she walked home.
He subjected her to a severe beating then screamed at her ‘Do what I say or I’ll kill you’, before putting her through the ordeal of a terrifying sex attack.
Then he stole her bag and phone and even took a call from his victim’s boyfriend to whom he bragged about what he had done.
But after pleading guilty to charges of rape and robbery the teenager was sentenced to just three years because of his age - and because he said ‘sorry’.
A judge at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court lifted a restriction preventing the publication of Khan’s identity after hearing details of the horrifying attack.
The judge heard how Khan ran up behind his victim and grabbed her around the neck as she walked through a secluded area near Cobridge, in Stoke-on-Trent one evening in September last year.
He punched and kicked her as she lay on the ground before raping her.
Robert Price, prosecuting, said: ‘She started screaming and attempted to get to her feet.
‘He responded by punching her in the mouth and knocked her back on the ground.
‘He stood over her and kicked her to the side of her face. He started shouting at her and warned that if she struggled he would “kill” her.’

Maybe you caught the Glen Beck show, maybe you didn’t. But if you did, and it seemed a bit rushed, quite overly parsed, you were right. His 1 hour show ought to have run 4 hours. Or if you visited Glen’s web page entry about Friday’s show, and you wondered a bit about this guy Edvins Snore, then this is for you.
This is the link to Snore’s film, The Soviet Story: Click Here. It’s a 90 minute film, and it will require you to install the Veoh video viewer, available at that link. It takes a few minutes, it’s free, and it’s clean. You may also have to install the proper codec, located over here.
Then you can watch the film. If you don’t understand spoken German and Russian, and if you can’t read Portuguese, you’ll have a bit of trouble; the film is about 80% dubbed in English. So you’ll miss significant parts, though the pictures tell the story. Besides, if you have even a passing familiarity with Spanish or Italian you can get the gist of the sub-titles.
Marxism, Leninism, Socialism, Eugenics are all slices from the same progressivist pie. Rebuild society through class warfare to make a better world for the elites. And at the very core, class warfare doesn’t mean “striving” or “converting” or “changing people’s minds through reason and debate”. It means killing them. In their millions. This film makes that point, and then things get really ugly.

This is a horrific film. It is uncovered history, in the raw. It’s the story, or a story, about how things really were under both flavors of european socialism in the 20th century: International Socialism (Soviet communism) and National Socialism (Nazi Germany). The differences are very, very slight. Both were blood drenched nightmare worlds, criminal enterprises from their very beginnings. Both ideologies were highly congruent, very closely related. Snores has made a film that shows that the relationship was deeper than any of us ever realized; that the death camps began in the USSR, that the NKVD trained the Gestapo, that the Soviets supplied the Nazi war machine with massive quantities of material and food while their own people starved. And when the war was over, it was the Nazis who were the hated war criminals, while the Soviets were the heroes. Even though both had committed the same atrocities. Even though the camps were simply moved to Siberia and continued to function for decades after the war. Even though Stalin ... well, I don’t want to give too much away. All we were ever taught in school was that the two nations had a “non-aggression pact” that lasted until Operation Barbarosa, when they became enemies. All the rest was just swept under the rug, and forgotten. But the truth has been found.
In Russia today, there is a resurgence of nazism. According to Snore, in Europe, all of Europe, today there is still the socialist idea that the lesser people need to be eliminated so that the progressives can progress. There will be no call for justice against the dark horrors of Soviet brutality. Not only are such things not even war crimes in Britain, by law!, but Europe is held hostage to Russian oil and gas. And as Snore says, they really aren’t against the basic idea very much anyway.
When inferior nations are being killed, it cannot be seen as a crime, because it makes way for the more advanced nations to build a better life.
This is nothing new. It goes from Margaret Sanger, to George Bernard Shaw wishing for a “humane poison gas” to nicely murder the undesirables, to the Turkish starvation pogrom in Armenia, to the millions killed by Lenin in the Ukraine, and then to the millions of internal “enemies” killed in the CCCP by him and then millions more by Stalin, to the millions killed by Hitler, to the further millions killed by the Soviet after 1945, through Bill Ayers and his matter of fact awareness of a need for “re-education” camps that would eliminate 25 million Americans, right up to the islamofascists today with their genocide in Darfur and their desire to eliminate first Israel, then the rest of the Western world. All groups who have decided that it is their right to decide what the better form of humanity is, (the answer is ALWAYS “people just like us") and all of them utterly willing to kill millions (of lesser beings “just like you") to achieve that goal. a sangue-frio. In cold blood. And it never works, but they keep right on trying, generation after generation.
This is a European film. The Western hemisphere plays only a very small part in it. So it’s up to you to see any similarities, and then draw your own conclusions.
Watching this might just give you nightmares. Do it anyway.
Oh, and I found it really ironic that several of the ads that pester you at the top of the screen during the first part of the film ( just keep clicking the X when they show up; eventually the thing gives up ) were for russian merchandise and clothing. I followed the link to one, the russianlegacy website. And found pro-soviet and Che shirts for sale. Cuz, like, it’s just fashion man. Chill out. It never meant anything, and like, Stalin and Che are totally cool.
I think I need to punch a hippie. Or a progressive democrat. And then I might have to watch this film again.

I really do wonder when and where this kind of thing will end. The only thing I am certain of is, it will not be in my lifetime.

A senior figure in Hizb ut-Tahrir, a hardline Islamist group that the Government keeps “under continuous review” and the Conservatives want to ban, is teaching and preaching at a top university.
The Times has learnt that Reza Pankhurst, who was imprisoned in Egypt for membership of the group, is a teacher at the London School of Economics and regularly preaches to students at Friday prayers.
The group is supposedly barred from organising and speaking on campuses under the National Union of Students’ policy of “no platform” for racist or fascist views. The presence of one of its prominent members as a university teacher raises new concerns about Islamist radicalisation on campus.
A new review of campus extremism began last month after it was discovered that the alleged Detroit airline bomber, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, was a former president of the Islamic Society at University College London.
The Times understands that at least two London university lecturers are either supporters or members of Hizb ut-Tahrir.
Mr Pankhurst is a postgraduate student in the LSE’s government department and teaches classes for the course “States, Nations and Empires”.
On Fridays he is one of the regular speakers at prayers organised by the students’ union Islamic Society in the college gym.
A society member told The Times: “He preaches every other week and is constantly bringing the subject around to politics, talking about Afghanistan and the need to establish the Caliphate [Islamic state].
“Only last week he was talking about the Detroit bomber and saying the guy was not radicalised in London and it was all to do with foreign policy.
“Last year he recommended we should attend a conference which I later discovered was organised by Hizb ut-Tahrir, but he never mentions the party by name.”
In 2002 Mr Pankhurst was one of three British Hizb ut-Tahrir members arrested in Egypt for attempting to promote the movement. They were held for four years and tortured before being released in 2006.
He remained active in the movement after his return and, according to well-informed sources, is still a senior figure. Last month a meeting at Queen Mary College, London, at which Mr Pankhurst and Jamal Harwood, another member of Hizb ut-Tahrir, were due to speak, was cancelled after student protests about the speakers’ views.
The Times made repeated attempts to contact the group and Mr Pankhurst yesterday but without success.
The group states on its website that its “political aim is the re-establishment of the Islamic Caliphate as an independent state”. It says that it rejects forcing change “by means of violence and terror”.
Hizb ut-Tahrir is banned in Germany for anti-semitic activity but, despite Tony Blair announcing plans to proscribe it in 2005, it remains legal in Britain.
In a speech last month Chris Grayling, the Shadow Home Secretary, said that the Conservative Party would ban the group if elected to Government. Mr Grayling said: “Within the UK it takes extreme care about how it words its propaganda ... But anyone who doubts its true character should take a look at the website for its sister organisation in Bangladesh, which talks about evil American plans to subjugate Muslims and about mobilising armed forces to eliminate the Jewish entity. We cannot allow such views free rein in our society.”
The LSE confirmed that Mr Pankhurst was a research student and a graduate teaching assistant.
A spokesman said: “No concerns about his conduct have been raised with the school and we are not aware that he is a member of any proscribed organisation or has broken any laws or LSE regulations.”
The students’ union said that Mr Pankhurst was a member of its Islamic Society. Aled Dilwyn Fisher, general secretary of the union, said: “As far as we are aware, Mr Pankhurst is not currently a member of an illegal extremist group.”
A spokesman for the anti-extremism think-tank, the Quilliam Foundation, said: “Hizb ut-Tahrir, an organisation which has a long track record of promoting intolerance, has not abandoned its efforts to infiltrate British universities in order to spread its destructive, confrontational message.
“Its infiltration of internationally renowned universities such as the LSE make a mockery of universities’ claims to be tackling extremism on campus.”
A Home Office spokesman said “Hizb ut-Tahrir is kept under continuous review. As and when new material comes to light it is considered and the organisation reassessed as part of that process.”

EU LAW CHIEF SAYS BRITS MUST PAY BENEFITS TO FAMILY AND WIVES OF TERRORISTS.
Betcha many Brits would just love to whack this bleeding heart. Hell, I’m not a Brit and I’d like to. I kinda doubt the Brit govt. bad though it is, will go along. But who knows? The govt. is one of the left and nothing they do would surprise anyone anymore.
Just another nail in coffin of the UKs sovereignty if they approve this opinion.
Yes I know I keep banging on and repeating myself on the subject but .... Keep ur eyes opened America, and clean ur ears. There are folks at home who are very happy to give up some American sovereignty in exchange for what they think is world harmony and peace etc. You won’t find em on the right so that should narrow the field a bit.

New USAID Chief Dr. Rajiv Shah, Sees U.S. Forging Deeper Partnerships Overseas
Shah says the U.S. government now wants to give foreign countries more control over how American aid is spent. But, he also says measures will be in place to make sure that money is used wisely. “As we, and if we, give up control to some extent in order to support country leadership, we should have high standards and we should have strong ability to track outcomes to monitor resources and how they flow and to ensure that we’re generating real results in a sustainable way for American taxpayers,” he said.
USAID currently provides $20 billion in annual aid to development projects around the world. The Obama administration plans to expand that to $50 billion a year by 2012 for healthcare, education and agriculture.

The U.S. Agency for International Development has sworn in a new administrator, Dr. Rajiv Shah, at a ceremony January 7 in Washington. In an exclusive interview with Voice of America, Shah talked about the Obama administration’s plans to deepen its partnerships overseas and listen more to the countries the agency serves.
A 36-year-old medical doctor by training, Shah comes to USAID with expertise in agriculture. He previously served as the director of agricultural development with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and later in a top post at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
But, he says, the mission of USAID is his passion.
As a son of Indian immigrants, Shah says that he started visiting India and other parts of the world at a young age and saw firsthand the kind of extreme conditions of poverty and human suffering that exist across the globe. “The opportunity to join an agency that has as its core mission working on that problem, working in a way that it’s respectful of the people who live in those environments and learns from them, is a great, great honor,” he said.
As head of USAID, Shah says he plans to hire several hundred new development experts and individuals with technical expertise to expand the agency’s work capacity.

Europe’s law chief wants Britain to reinstate the payment of tens of thousands of pounds in State handouts to the wives of suspected Al Qaeda and Taliban fanatics.
Ministers have halted benefit payouts made to the families of suspected terrorists to prevent the money falling into the hands of banned groups.
The Treasury says the power is a vital weapon in the war against terrorism. It stems from a crackdown on terrorist financing launched in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks.
However, the senior advocate of the European Court of Justice, Paolo Mengozzi, yesterday declared the decision to stop the payments was unfair on the grounds of human rights.
His opinion is likely to prove crucial when Europe’s highest court considers three test cases brought by the wives of British-based terror suspects later this year.
In eight out of every ten cases, the court has agreed with the Advocate General - making it highly likely the UK taxpayer will soon begin forking out hundreds of pounds a week to the families.
Whitehall officials have refused to name the families involved in the test cases - but all three of the husbands are foreign nationals on the United Nations list of international terror suspects.
They have been linked by security officials to Al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden and the Taliban
The payouts to their wives include income support, child benefit and housing assistance worth ‘several hundred’ pounds a week.
Last night, campaign groups said it would be outrageous for the European courts to once again water down Britain’s anti-terror laws.
Matthew Elliott, chief executive of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, said: ‘It is absurd that this unaccountable European court is trying to dictate to the British Government how we spend our own money. British taxpayers are already sick of bankrolling the lifestyles of people who preach hate against our country, and there is no way that they should be able to fund their activities or their families through milking the welfare system.

Under the Treasury’s rules, social security payments cannot be made available ‘directly or indirectly, to, or for the benefit of’ anyone who is on the UN terrorism sanctions list.
This has been applied to the wives of as many as ten terror suspects, who have been hit with licences restricting their access to state funds.
In the case due before the EU court, the three women claim this amounts to a violation of their human right to a family life.
Their first appeal was rejected. But in a second appeal to the House of Lords, Britain’s highest court, judges had concerns about how the law was being applied.
In April 2008, they asked the European Court of Justice to provide a ruling.
Any decision by the European court, which is expected to issue a final judgment in three to six months, will be binding on the House of Lords and on courts throughout the EU.
In advance of this decision, Mr Mengozzi issued a 26-page written opinion in which he argued the phrase ‘directly or indirectly, to, or for the benefit of’ suspected terrorists was very widely drawn.
He acknowledged that the payments made to the wives could benefit their husbands, but disputed whether those benefits could easily be converted into funds to finance terrorism.
Mr Mengozzi advised the European Court of Justice to rule that the extra restrictions were unjustified and violated the right to respect for family life.
Earlier this week, the European Court of Human Rights dealt a separate blow to UK anti-terror policy when it ruled the stopping and searching of suspects without grounds for suspicion was unlawful.
The searches had been a key plank of policing for over a decade.

Myleene Klass warned by police after scaring off intruders with knife
Myleene Klass, the broadcaster and model, brandished a knife at youths who broke into her garden – but has been warned by police that she may have acted illegally.

THE SUNDAY TELEGRAPHMiss Klass, a model for Marks & Spencer and a former singer with the pop group Hear’Say, was in her kitchen in the early hours of Friday when she saw two teenagers behaving suspiciously in her garden.
The youths approached the kitchen window, before attempting to break into her garden shed, prompting Miss Klass to wave a kitchen knife to scare them away.
Miss Klass, 31, who was alone in her house in Potters Bar, Herts, with her two-year-old daughter, Ava, called the police. When they arrived at her house they informed her that she should not have used a knife to scare off the youths because carrying an “offensive weapon” – even in her own home – was illegal.
Jonathan Shalit, Miss Klass’s agent, said that had been “shaken and utterly terrified” by the incident and was stepping up security at the house she shares with her fiancé, Graham Quinn, who was away on business at the time.
He said: “Myleene was aghast when she was told that the law did not allow her to defend herself in her own home. All she did was scream loudly and wave the knife to try and frighten them off.
“She is not looking to be a vigilante, and has the utmost respect for the law, but when the police explained to her that even if you’re at home alone and you have an intruder, you are not allowed to protect yourself, she was bemused.
“Her questions going forward are: what are my rights, and what are you actually allowed to do to defend yourself in your own house?”
The Sunday Telegraph’s Right to Defend Yourself campaign is seeking a change in the law to provide greater rights and immunity from prosecution for householders in dealing with intruders.
Chris Grayling, the shadow home secretary, said: “This incident just shows why things are still very confused on this issue and why we need a change in the law.”
A spokesman for Hertfordshire Police said: “We got a call at 12.45am on Saturday to reports of the owner of the property hearing noises outside their address.
“Officers were in attendance and checked the property.
“There was no one around although they could see footprints in the snow. No property had been taken and there were no intruders. It was treated as a trespass incident.
“Words of advice were given in relation to ensuring suspicious behaviour is reported immediately.”

Et tu? Warner Bros?
Just how far is political correctness going to go? Now it’s infesting the Looney Tunes gang!
I found that Netflix has the ‘Golden Age of Looney Tunes’ on dvd. The cartoons I grew up watching on Saturday mornings: Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote and the Roadrunner, well, you get the picture. Good, clean, violent, fun stuff suitable for children from the 1940s on…
…until now apparently.
I settled down last night to watch the latest dvd, Looney Tunes Vol 4 Disc 1. Here’s what I was forced to watch—Forced! Mind you. I couldn’t fast-forward past it.
The cartoons you are about to see are products of their time. They may depict some of the ethnic and racial prejudices that were commonplace in American society. These depictions were wrong then and are wrong today. While the following does not represent the Warner Bros. view of today’s society, these cartoons are being presented as they were originally created, because to do otherwise would be the same as claiming these prejudices never existed.
Now, this opens up a huge can of cats. (What? You think putting worms back in the can is hard? Try putting cats back in the can. They bite, claw, and scratch. And run faster than worms.)
There’s no mention of what ethnic or racial prejudices are depicted. No mention of which were ‘wrong then and are wrong now?’ No mention of who decided they were wrong? Or why?
I believe this opening statement is placed so as to sensitize the viewer to be offended. Or feel guilty.
By the Three Kennedys! They attack not just any children’s cartoons, WB attacks their own children’s cartoons.
Meanwhile, I’m still watching the dvd. I’ve yet to be offended.
Imagine, I go to the bookstore and buy a copy of, say, Huckleberry Finn. Actually, I have a copy of Huckleberry Finn. No such warnings appear in it.
And, imagine if such a statement were included in the preface of each copy of the Koran published in these United States? Would there be an uproar?

Is this something that was put together and altered somehow?
The reason I ask is ... this thing runs 9 minutes and there’s enough here to make me wanna toss my dinner long,long before the end.
I better be honest with you. I haven’t been able to watch all of it. What I saw made me sick.
So ... how come this is the first time I’ve caught this and then only because a former neighbor in CA sent it to me. ???
Or, has it been around awhile and I just missed it? The screen says CNN but I really don’t recall any big bru-ha-ha over these statements.
Or maybe the many are strung together here and say more then short sound bites.
All this talk about the great contributions of islam. Yeah? What contributions in the last 500 years?
I’m taking a Xanax and going to bed ... Try and have a good wkend. Maybe hold off watching this till Monday?

It’s Burkh-ingham Palace: if one mad muslim and his group of loopy loony tunes had their way.
Interesting and glad to see some muslims are openly against this nut case. Or is he? A nut case? At the rate white Brits are caving in to everything PC, he may one day have his dream become reality. Probably not in my lifetime but who knows.
What even more interesting is the lack (so far) of total outrage from the left who organized the phony outrage at the appearance of the BNP head on radio a week ago. Good grief, you’d have thought the sky was falling and all because Nick Griffin was invited on to a major TV interview program.
It’s Burkh-ingham Palace: Hate preacher calls for the Queen to wear full Muslim dress

Last updated at 12:03 PM on 31st October 2009The Queen forced to wear a burkha and Buckingham Palace turned into a mosque - that was the vision of Britain under Sharia law proposed by a Muslim firebrand yesterday.
Preacher of hate Anjem Choudary even showed mocked-up photographs of the palace sporting a golden dome and Nelson’s Column as a minaret.
He was speaking ahead of a central London demonstration that was planned for today. However the event was today cancelled amid fears it would have descended into violence.

___________________________________________________________________________________________________Scotland Yard said it would now be contacting organisers of a wave of counter-protests in central London and Leeds, West Yorkshire, to inform them of the decision.
Choudary, leader of the radical Islamic sect Al Muhajiroun, said organisers Islam4UK had been forced to cancel the planned march from the House of Commons to Trafalgar Square because of security concerns.
But he added a meeting of supporters of sharia law would still take place at an undisclosed location later today.
The Islamic Society of Britain, which was planning to join other organisations in staging a ‘dignified, non-violent’ counter-demonstration at Piccadilly Circus, said it would not now take place.
A spokesman said: ‘There’s no protest so we won’t be holding a counter-demonstration. It’s a great success that pressure from all sections of the community, including Muslims, has resulted in the Muhajiroun and the hot-heads rethinking their position. They realised very few people would turn up to support them and they would attract only very negative publicity. Old-fashioned pressure has worked.’
The Islamic Society of Britain said of Choudary and Al Muhajiroun, : ‘99.999 per cent of Muslims despise these people.’
Police had worked avoid a clash between moderate Muslim groups and far-right mobs who have organised rival demonstrations.
Choudary,a cleric and self-styled judge of the Sharia court of the UK, claimed: ‘The amount of threats we have received has been phenomenal. Bomb threats, death threats, we have received hundreds of them from people saying they are going to come and confront us.’
He said: ‘We hope to eradicate man-made law from Britain and the world. We call upon Gordon Brown to implement Sharia law and we call upon the Queen to give up playing God. There is only one supreme being. When Sharia law is implemented, maybe in 10 or 15 years’ time, she would be expected like all women in Britain to be covered from head to toe, only revealing her face and hands.’
If Her Majesty refused, he said she would be ‘punished’ according to Sharia law.
Choudary’s sidekick Abu Rumaysahl added: ‘Buckingham Palace would become a mosque and play a central role in society.’
At a press conference yesterday to outline their vision, Choudary brought in fellow hate cleric Omar Bakri to preach by speaker phone from his exile in Lebanon.
Bakri, banned from Britain four years ago, launched an astonishing diatribe lasting half an hour in which he called for jihad, saying: ‘We do not want ourselves to be judged by a man-made law. The struggle for Islam is a struggle worth dying for. Islam must be defended by the sword.’
Choudary and his extremist group want a legal system in which adulterers and homosexuals would be stoned to death and thieves have their hands chopped off.
He said: ‘Thieves would have various warnings first, and only in cases where he has stolen more than £20 of non-perishable goods from a private house would his hand be chopped off.
‘We are being realistic, we know it could take time to implement, but it is a fact that in Britain Muslims are predicted to outnumber practising Christians, in terms of going to places of worship, by 2015.’
Choudary, who was not wearing a Remembrance Day poppy, said he did not support the sacrifices of British soldiers. He said: ‘We are not allowed to feel sorry for those wars fought for land which served no purpose. Only wars in defence of Allah or your family or property are just wars.’
But moderate Muslim groups accused Choudary of running scared of engaging with them. Tehmina Kazi, director of British Muslims for Secular Democracy, said: ‘It sounds like pure cowardice. He is afraid of engaging with ordinary patriotic British Muslims who have a sense of tolerance and fair play.
‘We stand up for mainstream Muslims who see no conflict between their religion and being British. Anjem Choudary tries to be as provocative as possible, and everything he says undermines community cohesion and is a slap in the face to every patriotic British person.’
Although Choudary refused to say so, penalties under Sharia law for not wearing a burqa include a woman being repeatedly lashed with a stick or a cable.
Tory MP Patrick Mercer branded Choudary’s plans ‘extremely distasteful’ and added: ‘If anyone thinks those views are a step forward they are seriously deluded. They are repellent and repulsive.’

Ha-freeken-ha. Some joke except it isn’t. This is another one of those articles that wasn’t on my radar till a minute ago.
Here come de idiot fuckin judge.
The judge said it was wrong not to give McNally the chance of being freed if, at some point in the future, his mental state stabilises to the extent that the authorities no longer consider him a danger to society.
Fine. Then when the bastard is released, I want him housed NOT with idiot judge. Oh no. I’d like to see him housed with a member of the idiot judge’s family. With no restrictions.
Never mind he has killed twice and says he enjoys it. No way I’d trust shrinks who will I just know, one day make the claim that now he’s cured.
Folks like this fellow need to be rounded up and immediately put down for the sake of community safety. These ppl (term used loosely) are never cured and I don’t care what shrinks say. They are smart enough however to know how to play the system. They know what authorities want to hear.

Jailed Satanist who murdered cellmate for kicks has life sentence cut to give him ‘light at the end of the tunnel’

A psychopathic Satanist jailed for life without parole after he strangled his cellmate while serving a prison term for another murder, has had his sentence cut to 20 years ‘to give him light at the end of the tunnel’.Clement McNally throttled father-of-one Anthony Hesketh with a T-shirt in September 2003 because he was Satan’s ‘hands and eyes’.
Hesketh, who was serving four months for driving while disqualified, was found dead on the floor of the cell he shared with McNally in Manchester’s Strangeways prison.
McNally, 34, claimed to worship the devil and decorated his cell with satanic symbols.
He was also diagnosed as ‘psychopathic, narcissistic, paranoid and obsessive-compulsive’.The killer was already serving a mandatory life term for stabbing a friend to death outside a party in July, 2002, when Hesketh was allocated to his cell.
He was given a life term, with a whole life tariff, for the second killing after pleading guilty to manslaughter due to diminished responsibility at Manchester Crown Court on July 12, 2004.
But now the minimum term has been slashed to 20 years by Lord Justice Hughes, sitting at London’s Criminal Appeal Court.
The judge said it was not right that McNally should be denied a light at the end of the tunnel and never have a chance of release.
McNally, who was prescribed anti-depressants and mood-stabilisers, had told a psychiatrist after being jailed for Mr Skelly’s murder that he had worshipped the devil for two years.He also claimed prison chiefs allowed him to read books on the occult, some of which came from the prison library.
Nevertheless petty criminal, Mr Hesketh, of Worsley, Greater Manchester, was locked up with him and met his death.
Lord Justice Hughes, sitting with Mr Justice MacKay and Mr Justice Davis, said of Mr Hesketh’s killing: ‘McNally had no particular grievance against his victim - he simply suffered an urge to kill him.‘He said it was exciting - better than sex. He said Satan told him to do things and it was his job to do as he was told.
‘He said he was not in the least bit sorry for what he had done, but had derived a great deal of pleasure from subsequently thinking about it.
‘He suffers from compulsive homicidal urges and poses an exceptional risk to other prisoners.
‘He made it perfectly clear that he would kill again if the opportunity arose and the urge to kill was of sufficient intensity.’However the judge said it was wrong not to give McNally the chance of being freed if, at some point in the future, his mental state stabilises to the extent that the authorities no longer consider him a danger to society.
He told the court: ‘The life sentence was plainly correct as he was likely to represent a danger of the gravest kind, for a period which could not be determined.
‘However the imposition of a whole life tariff was a mistaken application of the process of sentencing.‘The life sentence itself is designed to cater for a prisoner in whom it cannot be seen when, or if ever, they will cease to be a danger to the public.
‘The Parole Board will not release a prisoner under a life sentence until it is convinced that they no longer pose a danger to the public.
‘The minimum term should be set on the basis of the severity of what the offender has done and his level of culpability for it.
‘If this man never ceases to be a danger, he will never be released.
‘But what cannot be known is whether his condition will change in the future.
‘Accordingly, we set aside the order, declining to set a minimum term, and the question of his dangerousness now and in the future is reserved to the Parole Board.‘His culpability was plainly reduced because he was in the mentally abnormal condition that he was, but the circumstances and gravity of the acts were considerable.
‘It was a second homicide within about 15 months. It was a pointless killing, generated simply to satisfy an internal impulse.
‘The appropriate course now is to set a minimum term which takes account of both the murder and manslaughter offences. We arrive at a minimum term of 20 years.‘However, the plainest evidence of the absence of a risk would be needed before any consideration could be given to his release.
‘It may very well be that there is never sufficient evidence of an absence of danger, but those decisions lie in the future and, to that extent, this appeal is allowed,’ the judge concluded.
An inquest into Mr Hesketh’s killing heard that McNally turned his back on the Devil 18 months after the murder, but denied fabricating his Satanism.

Don’t know about you but I for one will not eat Fido or Fluffy if I still had one of those, even if the sky is falling. Which it isn’t.
These folks are serious. The fear is that there are enough idiots out there who may buy their message.

The TelegraphIt claims that the carbon footprint left by domesticated animals is out of proportion to the size of their paws.
A medium-sized dog has the same impact as a Toyota Land Cruiser driven 6,000 miles a year, while a cat is equivalent to a Volkswagen Golf.
But rabbits and chickens are eco-friendly because they provide meat for their owners while a canary or a goldfish has little effect on the environment.
At the same time a pair of hamsters do the same damage as running a plasma television, suggests the book Time to Eat the Dog: The Real Guide to Sustainable Living.
New Zealand-based authors Robert and Brenda Vale base their findings on the amount of land needed to grow food for pets ranging from budgerigars to cats and dogs.
They say an average Collie eats 164kg of meat and 95kg of cereals a year, giving it a high impact on the planet.
But a pair of rabbits can produce 36 young annually, which would provide 72kg of meat and help decrease the owner’s carbon footprint.
Mr Vale, an architect who specialises in sustainable living, said: “There are no recipes in the book. We’re not actually saying it is time to eat the dog.
“We’re just saying that we need to think about and know the (ecological) impact of some of the things we do and that we take for granted.”
He explained that sustainability issues require us to make choices which are “as difficult as eating your dog”.
Mr Vale added: “Once you see where cats and dogs fit in your overall balance of things, you might decide to have the cat but not also to have the two cars and the three bathrooms and be a meat-eater yourself.”
