pretty scary in a bad way

A little link on the CNN news page ... “Atlantic Blob Puzzles Scientists” ...

follow the link and the video doesn’t sound very puzzled at all ...

The cold blob is unmixed fresh water from the ice caps melting in Greenland. It’s messing with the global currents and is going to slow down or even stop them and the multi-layer mixing that they do. And this will kill the planet. After all, 2015 has been one of the hottest years on record, setting records all around the world in 8 months so far. And the glaciers are melting in Greenland. And we’re all gonna die.

Really?

Honestly, this was a pretty frightening message. I must live under a rock and have pulled the sod in after me, because I’m not hearing anyone other than the kept-whore talking heads on the Weather Channel say a thing about AGW. Half a decade ago we couldn’t get away with it, and then all this sciencey stuff showed up, like facts and stuff, and then tons of insider information about a worldwide scam, and the next thing ya know, we’re hardly hearing a word anymore about Climate Change. And today this; the whole time Death has been stalking us and it may already be too late.

I blame Obama. Wasn’t it the great himself, the mighty Lightworker, supposed to cool the world and lower the rising oceans and so forth? Heal the planet and give everybody a high paying job at Starbucks? Pretty sure those were nearly his own exact words. So how is this even possible?

Don’t Look Down

China Builds Glass Bottomed Bridge To Thrill Tourists

image

It’s a bridge to nowhere from nowhere, but with a transparent floor made from real glass and a 590 foot drop to the ground, the “Haohan Qiao” or “Brave Man’s Bridge” in Shiniuzhai National Geological Park is the country’s scariest but perfectly safe suspension bridge.

This tourist attraction is not for the faint of the heart.

China has opened a glass bottomed bridge hovering 590 feet above the valley floor in Pingjiang county in Hunan province.
...
Stretching almost 1,000 feet long, the glass suspension bridge is named Haohan Qiao, translating in English to “Brave Men’s Bridge” and it’s not hard to see why.

The bridge was originally wooden until its conversion using glass panes 24mm thick (about .95 inches) and 25 times stronger than normal glass.

image

visitors are issued shoe booties to keep the panes clean

Outside of setting records, the glass architecture is meant to minimise any disruption to the surrounding scenery.

“I believe in nature, harmony, balance and beauty. Nature is beautiful as is,” said Haim Dotan, the Tel Aviv-based architect who designed the bridge’s concept. “The Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge was designed to be invisible as possible – a white bridge disappearing into the clouds.”

With a suspension constructed only of two side steel beams, banisters with side-hanging stay cables and a glass deck, the bridge may look minimal – but it can withstand high winds, earthquakes, frost and the weight of 800 visitors at a time.

Of course, if walking across it isn’t enough of an adventure, the bridge also has plans to offer the highest bungee jump in the world, beating out current record holder, the 233m Macau Tower bungee jump.
...
The developers plan for the bridge to host fashion shows, and they planned a specific area for bungee jumping.

Another Proxy War?

Putin’s Soviet Re-Union Launches Pro-Assad Airstrikes In Syria

Tells USA Yankee Go Home

Russian warplanes have begun bombarding Syrian opposition targets in the war-torn nation’s north, working on behalf of dictator Bashar al-Assad, according to a senior military official.

The official said airstrikes targeted fighters in the vicinity of Homs, located roughly 60 miles east of a Russian naval facility in Tartus, and were carried out by a “couple” of Russian bombers. The strikes hit targets in Homs and Hama, but there are no presence of ISIS in those areas, a senior U.S. defense official said. These planes are hitting areas where Free Syrian Army and other anti-Assad groups are located, the official said.

The development came after Pentagon officials brushed aside an official request from Russia to clear air space over northern Syria, where Moscow intends to conduct airstrikes against ISIS on behalf of Assad, according to sources who spoke to Fox News.

The request was made by a Russian three-star general who spoke with U.S. officials at the American Embassy in Baghdad, sources said. The general, who was not identified, used the word “please” when delivering the verbal request, known as a “demarche,” according to the written transcript of the exchange.

“If you have forces in the area we request they leave,” the general said.

A senior Pentagon official said the U.S., which also has been conducting airstrikes against ISIS, but does not support Assad, said the request was not honored.

The move by Moscow marks a major escalation in ongoing tensions between the two countries over military action in the war-torn country and comes moments after Russian lawmakers formally approved a request from the country’s president, Vladimir Putin, to authorize the use of troops in Syria. Putin said previously that Russia would strike ISIS targets.

The Federation Council, the upper house of Russia’s parliament, discussed Putin’s request for the authorization behind the closed doors. Sergei Ivanov, chief of Putin’s administration, said in televised remarks that the parliament voted unanimously to approve the request.

Ivanov said the authorization is necessary “not in order to achieve some foreign policy goals” but “in order to defend Russia’s national interests.”

greetings

Hello old blog. It’s me again, stopping by to say hello. I miss you. I wish that I had more energy to push myself harder so that I could wangle some extra time to play here. But so far, I can’t.

I spent the morning at the doctor’s office having a routine physical, so I’ve been poked and prodded, and had the full assortment of needles stuck in me to put things in and take things out. Bloodwork. Flu shot. Pneumonia shot? A few expensive prescriptions. The ever wonderful greased up latex glove. Oh boy. Now I have to run across town for a chest X-ray, and by golly, we really want you to have a colonoscopy. It’s that time.

Grrr.

So, what’s happening?

christians under threat in asylum centres from the kind hearted members of the rop

This is developing into something I had not given any thought to.
We all should have of course, because there are a large number of Christian migrants coming over, and how are they getting on with muslims, as they must share some things. If nothing else, space. Anyway, I wrote to friend in Belgium again in reply to his news about forced house sharing.

Our emails crossed each other and he sent something else with regard to Christian/muslim problems and threats by muslims.  It wasn’t in English, or French, and didn’t look like German. No matter, he got a translation for me, broken English and all but you won’t have any trouble reading it.

2015-09-28 17:42 GMT+02:00

Patrick, Is that really for a fact?  It’s madness if true. How can the govt. force a citizen to take in some unknown stranger into their home?
It is bizarre in the extreme.

My education has been lacking in the language department.  Wasted youth and paid dearly for with age.  Need translation.

Kind Regards

This is true. I cannot believe our Government has got to this degree of madness.

As for the text, I passed it through Google Translate:

Muslim fanatics threaten Christians in asylum centers

Today at 14:58 by NADB | Source: DIE WELT

Fanatical Muslims, who according to the sharia, threaten German refugee centers Christian asylum seekers. The fundamentalists are even threatening them with death. This writes the German newspaper Die Welt.
Said is a Christian refugee from Iran. By foot he crossed Turkey in search of a better life. But he never expected that his real problems would begin in Germany. “I thought I could live my religion freely in Germany,” says Said. “But in the asylum center, I can not openly admit that I am a Christian. Then I become threatened because. “

Said is staying in a refugee center in Brandenburg in eastern Germany. In the center are collected mainly devout Sunni Muslims who come from Syria. “During Ramadan, they wake me up before dawn and oblige me to eat. If I refuse, they call me a ‘Kuffar’, an unbeliever. They spit on me and treat me like an animal. They even threaten them to murder me. “

“Christians are worried ‘

Reverend Gottfried Martens confirms that many Christian asylum seekers have the same problem. “In the asylum centers set Muslims the rules,” says Martens. ‘’ Where are we, Sharia counts. In the kitchen, Christians may not cook their own food. Who does not pray five times a day toward Mecca, is threatened. They’re all worried about what will happen when the devout Muslims leave the asylum center. We need to hide in the future as Christians in this country? “

And the story of Said is not an isolated case. In the German town Hemer Algerian asylum seekers attacked an Eritrean and his pregnant wife. One of the Algerian men attacked them with a broken bottle beaten because she wore a cross around their neck.

Hard to believe this but my source has always been very good

I just posted something I thought might be of interest.

I didn’t think it would be news to a friend I have in Belgium.  We have a mutual interest in early Jazz and over time he’s been quite helpful to me.

So, when Lyndon shared a link to a migrant story in comments, I went to his source at YT and copied it here. I also sent a copy to my friend in Belgium.

I promise I haven’t made this up.  I find it very hard to accept.  Surely no govt. can be that stupid.  But I’ve known Pat over a number of years and really haven’t any reason to doubt him.

Here is his very brief email to me, received minutes ago.

It is true you know.
In Belgium, authorities are considering OBLIGATORY co-housing with Syrian refugees. They also SHOULD be given a job

within three MONTHS whereas we are in economical crisis and some local people are not even finding a job in a couple of YEARS. This is madness and

situation is very tense my country.

the signpost just ahead? you’re blind if ya can’t read it from here.

This belongs on our front page.

H/T LyndonB who posted the link in comments.

I haven’t any way of knowing if the lady is telling the truth or not.
Maybe she’s frightened by what she sees happening in her country.  As far as I am concerned, I believe extremism in defense of one’s country is a virtue.  So if she is fibbing .... it does not matter in this case.  Europe is being overrun.  That much is fact.

Meanwhile here in the UK a mob carrying torches and paint balls and banners were protesting and breaking windows.
What was that all about?  Oh nothing much.
Some 200 anarchists were protesting a trendy very high priced eatery in a part of London that’s home to lots of poor folks.
They were protesting as well “Middle Class Hipsters” taking over east London, and showing signs that read, “Class War”.
Of course most were wearing masks.
The only solace to be had from their breathing is that one day, the islamists will get to them and maybe cut off their worthless heads.
You know.  After the final takeover which is at the sign post just ahead.  But it won’t be make believe.  Of course by then, anarchists will most likely join that side to save themselves.

Take a look.

garden mystery solved

Well, it’s a mystery no more. In the time it took me to start this post, I ran 3 different Google searches to try to find the proper name of this oddball little plant the nursery sold me this year.

It’s a deep shade grower, and I hope it’s a perennial. The little starter plants had no labels, and all the nursery lady could tell me was that this was “It’s spotted plant. There’s a green and white one, a green and pink one, and a green and pink one with red stems”. And shes right, and it’s done very well in my garden, growing a foot and a half tall and living happily in the deep shade.

And now it’s blooming. From the underside of the leaves. Itsy-bitsy little purple flowers. Go figure.

image  image

image  image

Turns out it’s called a Polka Dot Plant, so the young woman at the plant shop wasn’t too far off. Common as mud in certain areas. It’s a native to Madagascar and is supposed to grow 10” tall. It’s also often grown as a houseplant, and grows outside as an annual.

The proper name of this little group - the three varieties seem to co-exist together almost always - is hypoestes phyllostachya. I like the sound of that. Hypo. Estes. Phyllo. Stachya. A super - model rocket powered - dough - mustache?

Whatever. Wiki says it’s herbaceous, which means they’re going to die off, but will drop seeds to regrow themselves next year. Fine by me. I think it’s a winner.

One of the tiny little blossoms, fallen onto the surrounding ground cover perennial, False SomethingorOther.

Plant names ... they’re so hard to remember!

no end in sight … target is a million and it won’t end there

Part of a letter from a school to parents ....

The letter to parents said the migrants were ‘mainly Muslim, and speak Arabic. They have their own culture. Because our school is directly next to where they are staying, modest clothing should be warn.

So .... Germans had better change their ways to accommodate the invading hoard of vermin who won’t understand Western ways and culture.

This post is part of a previous post yesterday, I have nothing to add again to the treason and the insanity and ...the “accommodation”.

Thousands of economic migrants are posing as refugees to reach Europe

· David Cameron said this week that Europe must send failed asylum claimants back to their countries
· Demands for Germany’s ‘open doors and windows’ policy to be scrapped
· Women said rape and child abuse were rife in Giessen’s refugee camp

There is now deepening disquiet in this Christian country, dotted with churches, that it is being overwhelmed by people of a different religion and culture.

The letter says the camp, far from being a peaceful haven for those fleeing war, is a dangerous melting-pot, where there have been ‘numerous rapes and sexual assaults, and forced prostitution’.

There are even reports of children being raped and subjected to sexual assault, it adds.

‘Many women have felt the need to sleep in their clothes… they won’t go to the toilet at night because rapes and assaults have taken place on their way to, or from, there. Even in daylight, a walk through the camp is fraught with fear.’

Controversially, the letter suggests that in the migrants’ culture, women are viewed differently: ‘It is a fact that women and children are unprotected. This situation is opportune for those men who already regard women as their inferiors and treat unaccompanied women as “fair game”.’

Some complain that the migrants have taken over the town, which is famous for its botanical gardens and dotted with pretty boutiques and flower shops. You cannot miss the new arrivals, wandering the streets in large groups.

At the Lidl supermarket a few hundred yards from the camp, a well-dressed German woman packing her shopping into a Mercedes saloon rolls her eyes at me as a group of Middle Eastern youths walk by. ‘What do we do?’ she asks. ‘It has happened

Some of the tales being told in Germany may just be xenophobic scaremongering. But there is no doubt that the country is grappling with a major culture clash as migrants pour in at the rate of 100 an hour or more.

At other camps among the 2,000 that have sprung up in Germany, I hear various lurid complaints about the arrivals, 80 per cent of whom are Muslim, single and male.

At a former U.S. military base housing some 2,000 migrants in Bayernkaserne, on the outskirts of Munich, women’s rights groups say there is forced prostitution and rape every day. Men, women and children sleep next to each other in tents and, according to one social worker interviewed on local TV, the camp is ‘the biggest brothel in the city’ where the price for sex with a female migrant is €10 (£7).

In other parts of the country, Germans are being told to adapt their lifestyles when migrants arrive.

Police in the Bavarian town of Mering, where a 16-year-old girl was reportedly raped this month, have warned parents not to allow their children outside unaccompanied.

Girls and women have been told not to walk home alone from the railway station because it is near a migrant centre where the rapist may live.

At Pocking, another well-kept Bavarian town, the headmaster of the grammar school wrote to parents telling them not to let their daughters wear skimpy clothing.

This was to avoid ‘misunderstandings’ with 200 migrants who were put up in the school’s gymnasium over the summer, before being moved on this month.

The letter to parents said the migrants were ‘mainly Muslim, and speak Arabic. They have their own culture. Because our school is directly next to where they are staying, modest clothing should be warn… revealing tops or blouses, short skirts or miniskirts could lead to misunderstandings.’

A 19-year-old waitress at a coffee bar in the town tells me: ‘We saw them [the migrants] walking around and they saw us. Of course, we were worried. We were told to be extra careful when they were here.’

A local politician, who refuses to be named, is quoted in Die Welt, one of the most respected German newspapers: ‘These Muslim teenage boys come from a culture where for women it is frowned upon to show naked skin.

‘They will follow girls and bother them without realising it is not acceptable. Naturally, their behaviour generates fear.’

At yet another migrant camp in Detmold, a city in central Germany, a 13-year-old Muslim girl was raped by a fellow migrant. The child and her mother had fled to Europe to escape a ‘culture of sexual violence’ in their own country.

Astonishingly, police kept silent about the rape, which took place in June. Only this month, after a local newspaper revealed that it had happened — and claimed German authorities are not ‘going public’ about crimes involving migrants because they don’t want to ‘give legitimacy’ to critics of mass migration — did they confirm it had taken place.

The area’s police chief, Bernd Flake, insists the official silence was meant to protect the rape victim. But he adds: ‘We will continue this policy (of not informing the public) whenever crimes are committed in migrant facilities.’

The authorities, now being urged by both the EU and Germany’s leaders to return those who aren’t genuine, are completely overwhelmed.
At Freilassing, on the border with Austria, I see hundreds of migrants waiting in teeming rain to reach Mrs Merkel’s promised land.

doomed country

burn in hell mrs merkel

Not that anyone needs me to point it out.  I’m sure you folks have been seeing how things are in Europe and the open door to their own ruination.

Anyway ... welcome to the age of stupid, and just another example or two of why Europe and the UK are doomed.  Can anyone doubt that it would take an armed revolution and blood freely flowing in the streets to end this self inflicted open wound.
That isn’t going to happen. If it does, it won’t be in my lifetime.  I imagine there will eventually be small bands of unorganized patriots fumbling around and not really getting anywhere. Govts. today aren’t as innocent (if ever they were) or as helpless against armed revolt as they may once have been.
There won’t be another Churchill with a ‘W’ or a “Duke of Marlborough”, (another Churchill with a ‘J’), or a Wellington to save the day.
The rot didn’t start yesterday, it started years ago and what we’re seeing so far isn’t the end.  There’s worse to come.

Hospital told RAF sergeant to leave waiting room in case his uniform upset other patients

· Staff moved him to sit in a corner before asking him to sit behind a wall
· Family claim they were told it was as they ‘didn’t want to upset’ anyone
· Say explanation added that A&E had ‘lots of cultures coming in’ and staff were worried about his uniform
By Josh White For The Daily Mail

An RAF sergeant who has served in Iraq and Afghanistan was moved out of a hospital waiting room because staff feared his uniform would upset people from different cultures, it was reported.

Aircraft engineer Mark Prendeville’s treatment was condemned as ‘horrifying’ by military figures and Air Force veterans – but follows a string of incidents in recent years where service personnel were snubbed because of their uniform.

Sergeant Prendeville, 38, was taken to the A&E department at Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital in Margate, Kent, after chemicals from a fire extinguisher got in to his eyes during a training exercise.

He was then taken to an empty corner of the waiting room before being moved behind a corner by hospital staff, The Sun reported.
In an explanation to his family, hospital workers were said to have claimed ‘they didn’t want to upset people’ because they ‘have lots of different cultures coming in’. Sergeant Prendeville’s father, Jim, said: ‘Mark was moved because of his uniform – he was told that twice.
The words they used were: “We’ve lots of cultures coming in”.

‘Mark was quite annoyed, but he’s a quiet lad and didn’t want to cause a fuss.’
Mr Prendeville added: ‘He didn’t care about the burns, he felt worse about how he was treated. I was absolutely disgusted when I heard. I don’t know what is so offensive about a uniform.’

more to read

Meanwhile in the former fatherland .... just in case bmews readers had not heard, the arch traitor Frau Merkel has raised the number of invited invaders from 800 thousand to a cool one million.
Does anyone actually believe that will the the final figure?

image

I won’t believe the mood has changed enough to matter, unless I saw jack booted men in black uniforms with SS runes on their collar, patrolling the streets of every German city and expelling by deadly force if necessary and even if not, all muslim migrants.  Add to that, firing squads to remove the ppl in office and all “rights” activists and enablers who for years, have brought their country to this pass. Don’t look for that to happen any time soon. In fact ... it never will. But anything less will not change things ever.

German nurse faces eviction from council block where she brought up her children to make way for asylum seekers

· Bettina Halbey, 51, has lived in her flat in western Germany for 16 years
· The nurse has until May 2016 to leave home where she raised her children
· The local municipality is turning the block of flats into a refugee shelter
By Sara Malm for MailOnline

A German woman is set to be evicted from the home where she raised her children on order for the local council to turn her block of flats into a refugee shelter.

Bettina Halbey received a letter earlier this month, telling her that she has to move out of her home-of-16-years in Nieheim, west Germany.
The 51-year-old nurse has been told that she has until May next year to vacate her flat, as Germany struggles to find housing for the thousands of refugees and migrants arriving in the country every week.

‘I was completely taken aback,’ Ms Halbey, a mother-of-two, told Die Welt newspaper, according to The Telegraph. ‘I find it impossible to describe how the city has treated me.’

‘I’ve muddled through sorrow and distress, and then I get this notice. It was like a kick in the teeth.’
The council has justified the eviction by saying that it is a ‘free’ solution to the influx of refugees in the town.

‘A new residential unit for 30 refugees in Nieheim would cost €30,000 (£22,000). This solution will cost me nothing,’ Rainer Vidal, the mayor of Nieheim, told Die Welt, adding that the three refugee centres in Nieheim are already full.
Ms Halbey’s eviction hit the headlines in Germany after she wrote about her situation in a Facebook post which has been shared more than 200,000 times.

It is not yet known if the local council has a legal right to evict Ms Halbey as private tenants are strongly protected within German law and can only be evicted if they break their contract.

This follows a damning report on conditions in asylum centres across Germany, as the country struggles to cope with the migration crisis in Europe.
Makeshift centres in Germany have seen men, women and children having to sleep next to each other in tents, halls and corridors. Showers and toilets are often not separated by gender, and some do not even have a curtain for privacy.

In the case highlighted yesterday, around 5,000 asylum seekers have been crammed into old US military bases in Giessen, western Germany. A letter addressed to the Minister of Integration and Social Affairs in the state of Hesse, where the centre is based, from four women’s organisations described a ‘culture of rape and violence’.

The letter, written on August 18, stated: ‘It is a fact that women and children are unprotected. This situation is opportune to those men who already regard women as their inferior and treat unaccompanied women as “fair game”.

‘As a consequence, there are reports of numerous rapes, sexual assaults and increasingly of forced prostitution. These are not isolated incidents.’

The warnings came after German Chancellor Angela Merkel earlier this month announced there was ‘no limit’ to the numbers of migrants her country would take.
Germany is expected to receive up to one million migrants this year and has since imposed temporary border controls.

continue

a comment from a Mail reader.

Looks like all these young male “refugees” are missing are the uniforms to really make them into the army they are forming across Europe. Welcomed with little or no push-back from those they are coming to take from.

Anyone see a problem here???

saturdays too i guess

another day, another few hours painting garage door surrounds. I figure if I can paint for 8 hours a day, I’ll have the project done by early November.  Um, no. That’s not going to happen. 50 hours a week for my 10 hour job? No. But maybe I can do 4, which means I’ll finish at some point in the Spring. Fine by me. I know I keep talking about this ... truth is, I’m more than a bit overwhelmed by the size of the task. This place is huge.  But you know what they say. Take a giant task and break it down into parts. Break those parts into smaller parts. And just start plugging away at them. Crivens, there’s a lot of plugs here!

We got skunked at bowling, 0-7.

I have to take the pavers back to the store, 2 carloads. It was decided that they weren’t the right thing, and that better fieldstone pavers would be used instead. Hey, I’ve got an idea. Let’s all work together so that we come to a decision and stick with it, so I don’t go wasting time, effort, and money to drag stuff home so you can change your darn mind on me.

Glucose tolerance test Monday morning. Oh joy. That means no food for 12 hours before. happy happy joy joy.

The result of being up at 3am and listening to the bbc being pc and weepy over migrants

It was almost 4:30 in the afternoon, UK time, as I write and post, and I’ve been up since 3 in the morning.  It all started when ….

3am and up to drain the bladder.  Make it back to bed, it’s chilly but liveable.  Got up again and went downstairs to see what I could find in the way of a light snack, Ah. Peanut butter. Perfect.  So back upstairs and by then it was ten past three, so decided to turn on the radio, because sometimes there’s boring stuff on and I fall asleep.  But not this morning.  What I heard got me so pissed off at the pc left and rights lawyers and biased BBC I saw that RCOB and knew I wasn’t going back to sleep.

What happen was, I had tuned into an interview with the Hungarian Foreign Minister, conducted by a self important sack of shit, the Brit version of Bill O’Reilly except the Brit sounded more cultured and didn’t have a shrill voice.  But just like O’Reilly, this ego maniacal bastard would ask a question, and do one of or else all of the following.

The subject btw was Hungary’s refusal to take in any more migrants, the dastardly Hungarian police actually sunk to the low of using rubber bullets and water cannon on those poor defenseless immigrants who had gone through so much to get where they were.  Yeah, in someone else’s country. Anyway as I started to say I sidetracked myself.

The SOB doing the interview (with himself I thought) would ask a question, answer it himself before the minister could get more than a few words in, continued speaking over the minister, Peter Sziijaro .  The turd doing the interview sounded like he was making a speech with every question, or else, I swear to you this is true, it sounded like he was giving Mr. Sziijaro a lecture. Those times he did allow for an uninterrupted answer, he came back with something that showed he never listened to the answer he got. Or perhaps didn’t like or agree and so ignored it.

Since I had missed the first ten minutes of this politically correct bleeding heart, I booted my bedside tablet cos I wanted to hear not just the beginning but the entire interview itself.  Given how the Brits or at least the BBC like to do things, in my case it wasn’t easy linking to the program. But I did and I then replayed it again only now I had a pen and pad.  Which meant pausing and writing a few words and starting and pausing.  The more I listened, the more frustrated and angry I got.  Dumb? Yeah, could be.  But as I listened it was so damn obvious that the Foreign Minister was facing a one man lynch mob.  It all boiled down to …

Migrants good.  Hungary bad!

Hungarian Police Arrest Syrian Who They Say Helped Lead Border Riot

Police used tear gas and water cannons to stop several hundred migrants from entering Hungary last Wednesday

BUDAPEST—Hungarian police arrested a Syrian man for alleged illegal entry into the country while leading a mass riot at a border crossing with Serbia, the police and a Hungarian court said Tuesday.
The 39-year-old man, identified only as Ahmed H., was present when migrants in Serbia rioted last week after their entry to Hungary was blocked,…

Croatia threaten to CLOSE its borders as thousands of migrants stream in from Hungary

CROATIA has threatened to close its doors if another 8,000 migrants enter after thousands descended on the country today seeking an alternative route into the EU following the closure of the Hungarian border.
By Alix Culbertson, Tom Batchelor, Agnes Kegl, Nick Gutteridge & Rebecca Perring

Interior Minister Ranko Ostojic warned migrants against arriving to seek protection as Croatia has no capacity to recieve them.

He said: “Croatia will close its border with Serbia if we witness again 8,000 migrants entering the country in one day.

“Croatia is not interested to be a country where the migrants will seek what they can get in other countries where they are now.”
Some 9,000 migrants have entered Croatia since early Wednesday following the closure of Hungary’s border with Serbia.

Heavily armed police could only watch as hundreds of migrants massing at the frontier pushed passed the checkpoint at its border with Serbia and in the capital Zagreb.

Slovenian police were forced to halt a train on Thursday carrying the largest group of refugees that has tried to enter Slovenia since the refugee crisis erupted in Europe.

In Zagreb, riot police surrounded a hotel housing migrants after hundreds reportedly threw toilet paper from the upper storeys.

Mr. Sziijaro stressed that “it wasn’t a refugee issue. It’s a mass migration issue.”
Which according to Steven Sackur, the host, or presenter as they are known here, asked if there was any humanity left in Hungary today.  This question triggered by refusal of the country to take any more and closing off the border, and especially the use of rubber bullets and tear gas and water cannon.  Sziijaro tried to explain that the refugees Sackur was referring to, had flooded into one town, taken over the railway and the town center. When police arrived they were met by stones, and slabs of concrete and anything else they could get their hands on. This was simply ignored by the bed wetting Steven Sackur.  May his tongue develop a severe cramp.

I wish I could have recorded and posted the program here so you could hear for yourselves how the media is playing this. Anyway,

The Hungarian Foreign Minister had the following to say, among other remarks and parts of remarks as the Sucka** ‘presenter’ allowed.

A state is a state because it can defend its borders.

Countries have a right to make a decision as to what sort of culture they want to share their life with. ( This was in reply to the charge of Hungary just being racist and anti muslim. )

Mr. Sziijaro continued,

Countries have the right to decide whether they would like to share their lives with another significant community or not.
France made such kind of a decision.  They made a decision that they would like to share their life with another significant muslim community.  That was their right.
We ( Hungarians ) expect everyone to respect our right to make or not to make such a decision as well.

These ‘youths’ are in France.  They were also armed with knives according to the papers. Typical of this group of sub human life forms.

And the Hungarians are the bad guys?

I believe that the press has been so slanted that they twist things in spite of the evidence.  They and the guy I heard at the BBC want Hungary to cave in.  And they may have to wanted or not, because a meeting of EU ministers has concluded in just the last 24 hours, that a quota WILL be accepted even by those states that have till now, refused to go along.

In the 40’s there was the harsh dictatorship of the Nazis, after the war that dictatorship in the east of Europe was replaced by the Soviets.
Far as I can see, that dictatorship has also been replaced by something called Political Correctness.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
