French Cops Put Migrant Camps To The Torch

Burning down the house!

image

Migrants have started to torch the notorious Jungle camp in protest over the demolition of the site, leading to clashes between angry protesters and police.

As the flames tore through the light timbers and canvas of the buildings, some migrants called for the demolition to stop, with one woman protesting on the roof of one of the buildings.

She warned police not to approach when they moved forward to arrest her male companion as around 100 makeshift homes in the so-called ‘Jungle’ were torn to the ground yesterday, with bulldozers likely to continue their work all this week.

Earlier, AP reported the woman, thought to be from Iran, had followed through on a threat to cut her own wrists when approached by police.

So let me get this straight ... illegal aliens are protesting their makeshift shelters being torn down, so they set fire to it in protest, destroying them. In order to contain the fires and quell the protests, the police come in and burn the place down and take bulldozers to the remains?

So the place was twice burnt and treble destroyed? Sounds like we’re going in circles. Surely, there can’t be anything left, right? Center?

Meanwhile, migrants brandishing metal bars and hurling rocks tried to hijack lorries today as demolition workers supported by riot police carried on smashing up their illegal camp.

It has led to many of the migrants trying to get to Britain as quickly as possible, forcing traffic to a standstill on major roads while trying to get on board HGVs.

‘Gangs broke out of the camp overnight, and started threatening drivers in the middle of the road,’ said a Calais police spokesman.

‘Tear gas and baton charges were used to restore order, and then the gang members were forced back inside the camp.’

At least 12 shelters were set ablaze by the refugees yesterday, during disturbances involving left-wing agitators from the UK.

Three members of the so-called ‘No Borders’ group were arrested for inciting the migrants to attack the police.

At least one unidentified woman from Britain was among those arrested during a day of violence in the French port town.

So instead of putting out the fires, French riot police turned the hoses on the protesters. Sweet.

.image

Bull Connor would have been proud

So what’s the take away? Is everyone a loser here? No, in fact the protesters won!
The camp, which once had its own shops and churches, will be relocated with the migrants receiving purpose-built accommodation

Which means the unga-bunga hobo jungle will now be permanent. Just like the “refugee camps” in “Palestine”. So, when do we start calling this chunk of ground “occupied Calais” (due to the few French who still live there)??

Xanax EU: Xanadu

In Sønderberg the other day
A teenage girl used pepper spray
To rout a randy “refugee”
From somewhere far across the sea
Who threw down and molested her.
The cops arrested her.

A poem written by a white guy about the fall of civilization in the EU, caused by the combination of near-easterners and PC. Meter closely borrowed from a famous poem written by a white guy about the situation inside a dream, caused by an opium pipe and fragmented memories of history about a fallen civilization in the far-east.

The falling, set to the tune of the fallen. The East, near and far.

The insanity of PC’s dreamworld denial of reality as a reflection of a far older dreamworld.

Outstanding. Juxtaposition in the modern world. I envy such skill as much as I applaud it. Playing with Lewis Carroll would have been far too easy.

Please read the whole thing at Front Page Magazine.

And all who heard should see them there,
And all should cry, Beware! Beware!

Germany Wants To Sock Her

Asylum? Nein!  Merkel? Rote Karte!!

image

The anti-mass migration Alternativ für Deutschland (AfD) party held a rally in the German capital Berlin this afternoon, demanding the resignation of Chancellor Angela Merkel and calling for the country to adopt a strong policy on immigration.

The AfD has seen its popularity surge as Germany struggles to deal with the huge influx of migrants, and is currently campaigning in local elections in the Saxony-Anhalt region that will be seen as an indicator of public sentiment on the issue.

German paper Handelsblatt estimates that 5,000 people joined the rally this afternoon, calling for the immediate closure of Germany’s borders and introduction of Visa requirements from migrants from the Balkan states, including Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro.

Angry demonstrators chanted “Merkel must go” and “traitor to the people” under the banner “Asylum has its limits – red card for Merkel”.

The red card thing is borrowed from soccer (sock her; sack her). At your second major offense you get the red card, which gets you tossed from the game.

So it looks like another populace in Europe is being ignored by it’s own government. Hmmm, that sounds a bit familiar, don’t it?

poles apart

Polish Soccer Fans Unveil Giant Anti-Islamic Banner, Chant Against Invasion

The banner included migrant boats labeled: USS Isis, USS bin Laden and USS Hussein

Polish soccer fans displayed a MASSIVE BANNER protesting the Islamic invasion of Europe.
The banner was unfolded during a Slask Wroclaw game.
Via Vlad Tepes:

The report of the “Ultras Silesia” group who are die-hard far right fans of Slask Wroclaw:

?During the match with Lech [Poznan], we presented a large banner with a knight, known from the Crusades, who symbolically rises from the European continent, blocking access to it for 3 boats with immigrants. It’s not a coincidence that the boats are named: “USS Isis, USS bin Laden and USS Hussein.” On the banner is contained the phrase: “When the Islamic disease floods Europe,” to which the second part is contained on a banner below: “Let’s defend Christianity”.”

About time. Maybe they can bring old king John Sobieski back ... he stopped the horde once before. At the gates of Vienna. You may have heard of that.

Meanwhile, in Germany, an office block that was to be used to house “refugees” mysteriously burned down in the night. Oopsie!

Austrian Chancellor does a U-Turn and joins EC president on immigration.  F*****g idiots

I don’t know what to say that I haven’t said at least a hundred times before.
I can’t even say whatever I have already said, in a different way.

Bmews readers already know what my idea regarding a solution is.

So then, for anyone just surfing through the site for the first time, ..... napalm, poison gas and bullets. Any one of or all three just for fun.
Let the culling start and don’t stop until there are none left.  Easy.  The problem however is ... these folks do not have the will to survive.

Meanwhile ....

The EC (European Commission) president and the Austrian Chancellor issued a joint statement, this is AFTER Austria announced it was going to build a fence.  Looks like someone did a U Turn.

FENCES HAVE NO PLACE IN EUROPE

ONE MILLION more migrants could head for Europe over the winter because of the Syrian war, warns Turkey, as official says the EU risks
‘disintegration’ if it fails to tackle the crisis
· Escalating violence in Syria is expected to lead to more migrants leaving

· Turkey is expecting over one million migrants to cross the border in winter

· Many of the migrants are likely to try and make the dangerous journey to Europe

By Tom Wyke for MailOnline

Over a million more Syrians are expected to flee to neighbouring Turkey following the beginning of Russia’s campaign of air strikes and fresh rebel clashes in the war-torn country.

image

Many of the migrants are unlikely to hang around in Turkey and are expected to try and make the dangerous journey across Europe.
With winter fast approaching, violence continues to spread across the country, particularly in the northern regions where air strikes are being carried out on an almost daily basis.

The country, has been struggling with security problems following the suspected ISIS bomb attack ( in Suruc and Ankara ). Turkey already has over one million migrants.

The news comes as one top foreign policy chief warned the European Union risks disintegrating if it fails to respond to its worst migration crisis since World War II collectively.

Federica Mogherini said that if the EU merely relied on national responses to a European issue, ‘the crisis will get worse, with chain reactions from public opinion and national governments’.

To prevent this, she told the Il Sole 24 Ore newspaper, the bloc needed to be equipped with ‘instruments up to the challenge’ without which, she warned, ‘there is the risk of disintegration’.

The comments came a day after Austria announced plans to build a fence at a major border crossing with fellow EU state Slovenia to ‘control’ the migrant influx.

The move would be a blow to the bloc’s cherished passport-free Schengen zone.

After hastily arranged talks between European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann, the two issued a statement stating that ‘fences have no place in Europe’.

the domino effect is threatening to destroy the Schengen Agreement. GOOD!

This invading mob won’t be stopped, and more will follow them in short order.
Europe can kiss itself goodbye.

In Germany yesterday, police kept a counter demonstration of leftists against some 200 members of an anti migrant rally of the right at bay.
The really depressing thing about this is that the patriots could gather only 200.  They were vastly outnumbered by the rabble on the left.  That should say something about euro attitudes.

In London … anarchists and others identified as, “activists” attacked police as they tried to storm the Eurostar in support of immigrants.  These shits belonging to an anti capitalist movement called, No Borders, who do also do not believe in immigration control, in any form, went on a rampage. Few arrests were made, smoke bombs tossed and other items damaged and thrown at cops. Like the metal fences they tore down and threw at police.

These mindless bastards don’t really care that much about borders and immigration.
But it gives the average low life hooligan a badge, a cause to hide behind, like the word, ‘activist’.  Their actions are accepted as normal if not legitimate.  They know damn well nobody is going to shoot them or harm them in any way.  So, they do what they are allowed by a weak and soft willed culture that has taken root over the last couple of generations.

On the march to western Europe: pictures show thousands of determined men, women and children trudging across the Balkans as politicians warn EU could collapse in weeks

· Battling howling winds, driving rain and icy temperatures, thousands of migrants today marched into Slovenia
· Photographed from above, the refugees formed a single column as they crossed into the country from Croatia
· It comes as Slovenia’s Prime Minister warns the EU will break up if leaders cannot agree on how to deal with crisis
· For more of the latest news on Europe’s refugee crisis visit http://www.dailymail.co.uk/refugeecrisis
By Corey Charlton for MailOnline

Battling strong winds, driving rain, mud and freezing temperatures, these stunning photographs show a slow trek of thousands of migrants making their way to Europe amid the harsh conditions of the oncoming winter.

As one European leader warns the ever growing crisis will see the EU fall apart ‘in weeks’, tens of thousands of people are continuing to try and reach the Eurozone via the arduous Balkans route.

And as these pictures show, they are prepared to do so despite often overwhelmingly difficult conditions.

The column of migrants was filmed from the sky as it weaved through fields in Rigonce, Slovenia, after having passed into the country from Croatia.
Tens of thousands of people are trying to reach central and northern Europe via the Balkans, but often have to wait for days in mud and rain at the Serbian, Croatian and Slovenian borders.

Slovenia’s premier this weekend warned the European Union that it ‘is weeks away from falling apart’ if the bloc cannot agree on a plan to confront the sudden influx of refugees through the Balkans.

Nine days after Hungary’s move to seal its southern border drove unprecedented migrant flows into tiny Slovenia, Prime Minister Miro Cerar sent out a dramatic call to fellow central and eastern leaders in Brussels for emergency talks.

He said: ‘If we don’t find a solution today, if we don’t do everything we can today, then it is the end of the European Union as such. If we don’t deliver concrete action, I believe Europe will start falling apart.’

GOOD!  The EU deserves to fall apart.

Since October 17, more than 62,000 migrants have arrived in Slovenia, with some 14,000 still passing through the country on today alone.
Cerar said Croatia, which has already seen some 230,000 migrants pass through since mid-September, was still waiving migrants through into Slovenia without alerting Slovenia authorities.

Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia have all now warned they could close their borders if Germany and Austria stop accepting migrants.
More than 680,000 migrants and refugees have crossed to Europe by sea so far this year from the Middle East, Africa and Asia, according to the International Organization for Migration.

Following years of economic crisis, Europe’s governments are struggling to cope with an influx of people from countries including Syria, where Russia’s intervention has complicated efforts to end nearly five years of civil war.

Hungary’s decision to seal its borders left crowds of migrants camping by the side of the road in worsening weather.
As a result of their new border fencing, migrants switched to Croatia, which also imposed border controls, pushing them into Slovenia.
Now the domino effect is threatening to destroy the Schengen Agreement for passport-free travel within the EU.

GOOD! Schengen treaty pie in the sky and responsible for much of what you’re seeing today.  Think the Euro-weenies will scrap it?  I’d bet not.  Take a good look.
This is what open borders look like.

A fighting retreat

I want to thank Peiper for his intense coverage of the invasion of suicidal despondent sniveling Europe.

Because it really is an extended Last Post.

“We’re here live with General Custer at some hill called Little Bighorn, and there seems to be a problem.”

Enemy at the gates. For reals.

And when the crest breaks on this human wave ... lights out, game over, good bye. Granted, it will take a couple of generations for the darkness to blanket everything. But it’s going to happen.

But here in   StupidVille  America, what little coverage this onslaught is getting is fading away. Worse, the media has been more than sympathetic to the invaders. Gosh, the same way they seem to support the La Raza types who are eroding our country. It’s pretty much too late. We’ve committed suicide. Funny that, if there should be any history written (because anything that ever happened in the world outside of Allah is heresy and must be destroyed and forgotten) someone may notice that the other attempt at democracy, ancient Greece, also lasted about 200-300 years. And then the barbarians took over. Or the generational elitist rulers (ie kings) and political correctness. Same thing, kind of.

594 BC Salon creates a new constitution for Athens, and begins the experiment called democracy

399 BC Socrates is condemned to death for questioning conventional ideas (ie, death by PC)

338 BC King Philip II of Macedon defeats the Greek city-states and imposes his dominion on them.

And that was that.

image

How big is the human wave? This is just one pile of life jackets on tiny Lesbos in western Turkey

So I went looking for news on the invasion this morning. And all I found was ...

No end in sight to refugee wave that just keeps rolling to Europe
ZAGREB, Croatia – One month after the body of 3-year-old Aylan Kurdi washed up on a Turkish beach — and a week after the European Union agreed to secure its borders — the refugee crisis has largely fallen off the front pages and reporters are going home.

But the human tide keeps rolling northward and westward, and aid agencies are preparing for it to continue through the winter, when temperatures along the refugee trail will drop below freezing. They fear the crisis may get worse.

“One thing is clear, the movement is not going to die down,” said Babar Baloch, the U.N. refugee agency’s representative in the Balkans. “What we are seeing right now ... it’s just the tip of the iceberg.”

While more than 500,000 people have crossed the Mediterranean to Europe this year, more than double the figure for all of 2014, that is only a fraction of the people who are on the move. Some 4 million have fled Syria after more than four years of civil war, and 8 million have been displaced inside the country. And it’s not just Syrians. It’s Iraqis and Iranians, Afghans and Eritreans.

And that’s “conservative” Fox News. CNN? Crivens, all they can see is those po’, po’ refugees. They don’t get it. They won’t get it. They are doing their best to mislead everyone. As usual.

“A refugee’s journey ... an Afghan soldier’s trek to Europe” (he’s a deserter of course, but we get a few paragraphs of text to go with the video)
“Fleeing For His Life” (another deserter, only this story is all video)
“Europe’s Migration Crisis in 25 pictures” ( because you’re too stupid to read, and we’re too lazy to write. Besides, pictures are always a bit out of context, so you just react to them emotionally because you don’t have any facts to work with. Oh, and TRIGGER WARNING: we added that pic of the drowned little boy, but omitted all the pics of the rioting refugees fighting with police and dumping the food and clothing given them. We want your emotions to go in one way only, thanks. )

An aside ... high bandwidth internet has made for really lazy journalism. Damn near every story online is hooked to a video. Writing? Screw that!  Problem is, when you’re not getting the phat pipeline, you have a hard time following the stories. So of course, you go to the UK where they still know how to write and use a still camera, and you set your Socialism filter on 11.5 and hope for the best.

So Europe is being swallowed. They are weak, they are cowards, they are fools. And this will kill them. I don’t want to see it happen, but really? Too fucking bad. The writing on the wall goes back to the 1972 Olympics if you had the brains to know how to read it. Further.

Problem is, the USA is being swallowed too. Worse for us, we’re being swallowed in 3 different directions. The Central American Swallow. The still small but getting bigger every year Muslim Swallow, and the ever present, never ending, completely invisible pro-communist Chinese Swallow. And nobody can talk about it and not be called a kook or a racist or worse. It goes against conventional wisdom. Just like Socrates.

bloody fools

Greece: Do It My Way Or I’ll

Hold My Breath And Kick My Feet

George Will explains Greece for folks like me who simply can’t understand the news.

The hairy little plate breakers are having a tantrum. How dare anyone cut back on their standard of living, which is supported by endless deficit spending? How dare anyone even suggest that continued bail outs come with any conditions at all, like even being paid back for starters?

The EU exists to require nations to “pool” their sovereignties in unelected, unaccountable bureaucracies. The retrograde point of the EU is to leech from national parliaments powers that were hard-won over many centuries of struggle. National governments rendered unserious by the EU are apt to regress to adolescence, as with Syriza’s referendum — a tantrum masquerading as governance.

[Prime Minister Alexis] Tsipras is a peculiar phenomenon, a defiant mendicant. He urged voters to do what they did. In voting “no,” they asserted that Greece’s dignity is incompatible with loans that come with conditions attached. Tsipras’ Syriza Party insists, however, that dignity is compatible with perpetual dependency on the forbearance and productivity of others.

A defiant mendicant. “BWA”; Beggaz Wit Attitood. A beggar who’s a chooser, and if the choice ain’t right, abuser. Oh my, isn’t it easy to draw parallels with that one.  Now I understand.

Since joining the eurozone in 2001, Greece has borrowed a sum 1.7 times its 2013 GDP. Its 25 percent unemployment (50 percent among young workers) results from a 25 percent shrinkage of GDP. It is a mendicant reduced to hoping to “extend and pretend” forever. But extending the bailout and pretending that creditors will someday be paid encourages other European socialists to contemplate shedding debts — other people’s money that is no longer fun.

Greece, with just 11 million people and 2 percent of the eurozone’s GDP, is unlikely to cause a contagion by leaving the zone. If it also leaves the misbegotten European Union, this evidence of the EU’s mutability might encourage Britain’s “Euro-skeptics” when, later this year, that nation has a referendum on reclaiming national sovereignty by withdrawing from the EU. If Greece so cherishes its sovereignty that it bristles at conditions imposed by creditors, why is it in the EU, the perverse point of which is to “pool” nations’ sovereignties in order to dilute national consciousness?

gee, everyone wants a piece of britain these days

Well how’s this for chutzpah?

OK, in English, shameless audacity; impudence.

I really don’t think anything can come of it, but isn’t it interesting what govts. and countries will run to lawyers for these days?

Poland , it is reported, wants more than £10 million (pounds), in American dollars that’s $15,973,881, in unemployment benefits for migrants who have left England.

Here’s the story. Some of you might have fun with this one.

Poles demand millions from Britain to pay their benefits: Eastern European governments want cash for returning migrants

Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia demanding UK cash for jobless citizens
Told Britain to pay more than £10m in unemployment benefits to migrants
Czech labour minister said UK owed country £3m in benefits under EU rules
Iain Duncan Smith’s department has already paid £800,000 under these rules

By Tamara Cohen

Britain has been told to pay more than £10 million in unemployment benefit to eastern European migrants who have left Britain, returned home and now cannot find a job.

Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia have demanded that Iain Duncan Smith’s department funds their jobless citizens because they once worked and paid national insurance in the UK.

His department has refused because the migrants had not worked in the UK long enough to claim, but the three countries have threatened to issue a diplomatic protest.

Czech labour minister Michaela Marksova-Tominova said Britain owed her country £3million in these benefits under European Union rules.

Britain has already paid £800,000 under these rules, but she is writing to Mr Duncan Smith, the Work and Pensions Secretary, demanding another £2.2million.

Barbora Petrova of the Slovakian labour ministry said her government was seeking £4.9million from Britain in outstanding unemployment benefits, while Poland is making a multi-million-pound claim but has not revealed the exact figure.

It is understood the three countries’ ambassadors have demanded a meeting with Sir Ivan Rogers, the British permanent representative to the EU, to issue an official diplomatic protest.

Mrs Marksova-Tominova said: ‘I expect this meeting to resolve the situation.’

If not, the situation could escalate when Mr Duncan Smith attends a meeting of EU employment ministers next month. An EU agreement means that citizens of one country who work in another are entitled to out-of-work benefits if they have paid national insurance for a certain period.

In the UK the threshold is two years, but in other European countries it is as low as six months.

The three countries claim the situation began two years ago when the rules in the UK changed. If they succeed in getting the money, it could open the doors to claims from other European countries – many of which have high unemployment rates.

A spokesman for the Department for Work and Pensions said: ‘This Government does not pay benefits to someone in another country when they would not have been eligible for them in the UK. We are working with our counterparts across Europe on this issue.’

Andrew Rosindell, the Tory MP for Romford said: ‘I find this astonishing. People who come here to work should only be paid benefits if they have fully paid into the system for a long time.

‘If they are entitled to go home and then claim more than British citizens can, then the system needs looking at.’

Jonathan Isaby, of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, said: ‘Britain must of course meet legal requirements, but the Government needs to push Brussels to address this ludicrous situation before any more taxpayers’ money is wasted.

‘Taxpayers here will be baffled that it’s apparently their responsibility to pay benefit bills in foreign countries.’

another ban from those jerks in brussels who stole our light bulbs. look what they want this time

A headline that greeted us this morning said;

Buy a powerful vacuum cleaner now … before Brussels banishes them.

Dumb and dumber just got stupider.

Starting next month begins the first stage of a ban on powerful vacs.
Another stupid lefty idea to save the planet.

You could not make this up. Only the idiots who think the sky is falling.

Take a look.

We don’t call em euro-weenies for nothing.

From The Mirror

New EU rules have slashed the power of vacuum cleaners in a bid to save energy so from next month new vacuums with motors above 1,600 watts will be outlawed

Brussels bureaucrats are banning the best vacuum cleaners on sale in Britain, it was revealed today.
New EU rules have slashed the power of vacuum cleaners in a bid to save energy. It means that from next month new vacuums with motors above 1,600 watts will be outlawed.

However, some of the top rated cleaners will fall foul of the new rules because their power rating is above 2,000 watts.
Consumer watchdog group Which? has warned consumers to “act quickly” if they want to buy a more powerful model.

The European Commission claims its new rules, which are intended to help tackle climate change by cutting Europe’s energy usage, will mean consumers “get better vacuum cleaners than ever before”.
However, Which? said of seven “best buy” ratings awarded by its vacuum cleaner reviewers since January 2013, five of them have motors of more than 1,600 watts.
It said: “If you’re in the market for a powerful vacuum, you should act quickly, before all of the models currently available sell out.
“A Best Buy 2,200w vac costs around £27 a year to run in electricity - only around £8 more than the best-scoring 1,600w we’ve tested.”

( WHICH?  is the Brit version of Consumer Reports )

One vacuum cleaner facing a ban is the Miele s8330 model, which has a 2,200 watt motor and advertises its “best buy” credentials on its manufacturer’s website.
The EU has already banned power hungry plasma TVs and traditional light bulbs, which prompted a rush by consumers stocking up on them before they became obsolete.

Consumers have moaned that energy-efficient replacements bulbs were more expensive and took too long to warm up.
The average power of a vacuum cleaner on sale in Europe is 1,800 watts. This will have to be halved within the next three years, as the limit of 1,600 watts will be reduced to just 900 watts from September 2017.

But Brussels has denied that its latest rules on vacuums, which come into force on September 1, will affect consumers’ ability to clean their homes properly.

European Commission spokesman Marlene Holzner said: “As a result of the new EU ecodesign and labelling regulations, consumers will also get better vacuum cleaners. In the past there was no legislation on vacuum cleaners and companies could sell poorly performing vacuum cleaners.

“Now, vacuum cleaners that use a lot of energy, that pick up dust poorly, emit too much dust at the exhaust of the vacuum cleaner, are noisy or break down prematurely will not be allowed on the market anymore.

“This means a better cleaning experience and less time and money spent on vacuum cleaning.”

source, the mirror

Consumers warned to “act quickly” before top-rated powerful vacuum cleaners sell out forever

Many of the best vacuum cleaners for sale in the UK will be banned as a result of new EU energy efficiency rules that come into force next month, consumer group Which? has warned.

Households wanting to buy a powerful model have been told they will need to “act quickly” before they sell out, as from September 1 companies will be prohibited from manufacturing or importing any vacuums with motors above 1,600 watts.

The European Commission claims that its new rules, which are intended to help tackle climate change by cutting Europe’s energy usage, will mean consumers “get better vacuum cleaners than ever before”.

it’s cold, it’s windy, it’s been raining and as if that isn’t bad enuff, obama is on a spend spree

Heard something on the news and saw a mention in morning paper with regard to that madman in the white house.

First of all, as Drew already pointed out, he has set some kind of deadline for American industry to save the planet and thus have the euro-weenies love us again. OK .. no need to visit that one again.

Then he agrees to a prisoner exchange with the bearded bastards in sand land for a guy who, we are told by another soldier, simply walked off his post.
Maybe he was mental, like maybe he lost it and didn’t really know what the heck he was doing.  I guess that could be possible. ???  Haven’t a clue. But I heard that when troops went looking for him, one was killed during the hunt. Anyway .... isn’t that like recognizing the terrorists as a regular army representing a country somewhere?  I think now that the example is out there, it gives those vermin hope and encouragement that there could be future deals. So we got back one damaged individual and they get back five who btw ... can talk about their experience at Guantanamo and American interrogation techniques and what to expect.  Hey, I guess the one we got back can talk about taliban cuisine.

But the one I heard and read about is what had me wondering the most. 2nd most.

Spend-em-up Obama is pledging a Billion Dollars to, “ Defend European Allies.” Well, that’s what I heard on the news and read in the paper. They can’t both be wrong.  It’s not so much the money as we all know Americans are very wealthy and just rolling in the green stuff.  So it’s only fair to share the wealth. You know, to each according to his needs etc. And I guess they still need over there.  I hadn’t realized they were actually our allies though.  Honest? Allies?
I think he has Eastern Europe in mind and specifically the Ukraine.
Meanwhile ... Mr Putin is suggesting that the USA could be edging toward a new arms race and a possible new cold war, if any military buildup occurs near it’s borders with eastern Europe.  Yeah, I can see where that might make the always paranoid Ruskies a tad nervous.  But then ... I do believe they have a history of armies on or too near their own borders. And doesn’t the USA also have border problems?

Deutschland von Sinnen:  Germany out of her Senses

Not up to a lot today .... staying dry for the most part and warm as well. Hasn’t stopped raining all day.
Nothing but crap news locally with the development of our beautiful green belt known as Barton Farm, soon to be turned into a parking lot and 2500 homes.
All very depressing. To make matters even worse, the local rag which isn’t much of a paper but I guess don’t have to be, reports that a major road leading into Winchester will be diverted through the new development. Insanity. It was originally laid out in a nice straight line by the Romans and went directly into what once was England’s first capitol city. There is one other road that does the same from another side.  I can’t believe they don’t see the traffic nightmare ahead, on top of the nightmare we already have.
Very depressing.

Ok so, I booted to look something up, couldn’t find it but did find myself at The Gates of Vienna.  I go there from time to time.
I was struck by the headline tho I’m never surprised where Germans are concerned.  I did kinda think however, that they might be the very last European country to sell it or give it away.  I thought they might be a sort of last stand hold out.  Guess not.

Because it’s a very long read, I’m simply posting a small bit and the video.
For all of it ... see the link below.

H/T Gates of Vienna

Has Germany Gone Nuts
by Baron Bodissey

Akif Pirinçci is a Turkish-German fiction writer who has turned to social-political criticism in his latest book. If he were not an immigrant, he would probably have been prosecuted for his scathing denunciation of Modern Multicultural Germany’s obsession with feminism, sexual perversion, and immigration. As the interviewer in the video below says, Mr. Pirinçci makes Thilo Sarrazin look like a wimp.

In the following introduction to the video, our Canadian correspondent Rembrandt Clancy provides some context to the uproar over Akif Pirinçci, whose interview on the state television network ZDF was censored and then removed from the network’s website. The translator also includes a full transcript of the subtitled interview.

Note: The translated quotes from Akif Pirinçci contain vulgarities. I have redacted out the naughtiest words, but some of the lesser solecisms remain. Readers who are offended by vulgar or suggestive language may want to skip this post.

Akif Pirinçci: “Red-Green Polluted Politics”

By Rembrandt Clancy

[Akif Pirinçci] The purpose of this contribution is to draw to the attention of Gates of Vienna readers the successful German writer of Turkish origin, Akif Pirinçci, who has been subjected to an explicit mainstream media censorship in Germany following the publication of his first non-fiction book in late March, Deutschland von Sinnen: Der irre Kult um Frauen, Homosexuelle und Zuwanderer (“Germany out of her Senses: The Mad Cult around Women, Homosexuals and Immigrants”). The book’s subtitle is suggestive of some of the topics which the reader will find represented below, all facets of what the author calls Germany’s “Red-Green polluted politics” (Rot-Grün versiffte Politik).

Pirinçci’s notoriety in Germany is comparable to that of Thilo Sarrazin (cf. recent interview: “The Axioms of PC Madness”, Gates of Vienna) who captured the nation with his Deutschland schafft sich ab (“Germany is Abolishing Herself”).

Akif Pirinçci grew up in a poor family. “For us, an egg was a feast”, he said recently in an interview with Bild am Sonntag. In 1969 the Pirinçcis emigrated from Istanbul to the Federal Republic of Germany where his parents joined the growing population of Turkish Gastarbeiter (Guest Workers) who helped to power Germany’s post-war Wirtschaftswunder. The ten-year-old Akif completed his growing years in the beautifully green, low-mountainous region of the Eifel near the Belgian border. He showed an early interest in writing and by the age of twenty-one he published his first book. But his cat detective series, Felidae, — with Cat-Inspector Francis as the main character — won Pirinçci international renown; and perhaps without realising it at the time, the cat lover Akif Pirinçci achieved his political independence.

Felidae has been translated into English and sixteen other languages.

Akif Pirinçci on Evolution and Power

Pirinçci was unknown as a critic of the “the Left-Green dictatorship of thought and values” (Gesinnungsdiktatur) until his controversial essay, in which that phrase appears, was published on the internet portal Die Achse des Guten as “Das Schlachten hat Begonnen (English version: “The slaughter has begun”). It depicts a “creeping genocide against Germans” (Pirinçci: German Video Interview, 43.00 min.), and it created an Internet storm.

“Germany out of her Senses”: The Mad Cult around Women, Homosexuals and Immigrants”

[Source: Politically Incorrect. Translated by Rembrandt Clancy]

Akif Pirinçci: Germany, Oh Golden Elysium

Pirinçci writes the following few paragraphs against the background of German national self-hatred mentioned above. It has been observed that the elites in Germany promote the EU on the basis that it was nationalism which caused the war, and not socialism, in its contemporary mutation as National Socialism. Therefore the national state must be abandoned along with all consciousness of national identity.

Lady Godiva, John Collier, 1897. click for bigger version

A real person. An actual “Lady”, though more properly a Countess, as Godiva was the wife of Leofric, Earl of Mercia. ( In America, the wife of an Earl is usually called Raylene ) She lived in the 11th century, survived the Norman invasion of 1066, and is mentioned by name in the Doomsday Book. Although they called her Godgyfu, English being a lot more Celtic and Danish in those days. But on official documents she signed her name as Godiva Comitissa, the countess Godiva, because official meant doing it in proper Latin. She was loaded. Her sister Wulviva was loaded. Her brother Thorgold was loaded. Her husbands were loaded. They were old money, in the year 1050. Now that’s really old old money!

We don’t see too many Streakers For Tax Relief these days, more’s the pity maybe.

Anyway, the legend says Miss Lady did her ride to curb her avaricious husband’s greedy government, but in a bit of Medieval Modesty, commanded the peasants to keep their shutters closed. And they did. Except for one horndog, known forever after as Peeping Tom. Who closed his shutters, but drilled a peephole first. And the sight blinded him. Maybe Miss Lady was a bit more Wookie than we want to remember her? History tells us “lots of hair”, but they don’t tell us where.

These days, a blonde Lady Godiva rides out, every hour on the hour, as part of a large mechanical clock in Coventry. And Peeping Tom still sneaks a peek, then is struck blind.

Mercia was the Dark Ages kingdom in the middle of England, the lands in the middle, today known as the Midlands. Godiva probably took her ride when Canute was king, and most of England was part of his Scandinavian North Sea Empire, today known as IKEA.

PS - thanks once again to Stoaty teh Woozle for the inspiration, and for the news that Coventry is going to have a streaker festival, but not to honor Godiva. They’re doing it to promote a microwavable hamburger in a box. Riiiight? Because, bacon. Bacon?? OMG. Everybody get naked!!!

EU pushes to stop US from using European cheese names like … Parmesan.  And Feta.screw the EU

The meatheads at the EU want to make American cheese makers stop using names we’ve been using for at least a hundred years.
I never knew this but ... apparently Parmesan cheese isn’t simply the name of cheese. Oh no. We are now told it’s actually the name of the region where that cheese comes from, and so the shit heads at the EU want Wisc. makers to quite using that name. And stop using the Feta name as well.

Sometimes I get so damn pissed off at those fucks I think, we shouldda let the Germans keep the damn place and good luck to em cos there ain’t nobody at home there.  OK,OK. Extreme, just frustrated, pissed off and nobody to hit and probably wouldn’t anyway cos I’d only get arrested and being an American ...aw nuts!  I really don’t like that place, or at least I don’t like the bureaucratswho run the show.

Here ... read this. Am I over reacting ?  I see things as we cave in here just a little and there just a little til ...
Oh yeah. And I don’t much care for the UN either. Never have.

Whine and cheese: EU complains over impostor American feta
EU pushes to stop US from using European cheese names like feta, gorgozola and parmesan

By Raf Sanchez, Washington, Bruno Waterfield in Brussels

The cheese makers of rural Wisconsin wouldn’t usually spend much time worrying about the European Union.
More than 4,000 miles from Brussels, they are too busy producing an annual 2.6 billion pounds of cheese and fending off challengers for the title of cheese capital of the United States.

But now the EU is a regular topic of anxious conversation among Wisconsinites, who proudly refer to themselves as “cheeseheads”.

“Europe has become this spectre looming over us,” said Kathy Martin, owner of the Hillbilly Hollow goat dairy in Conover, a town of just over 1,000.
Wisconsin’s fears stem from an EU push to prevent American dairy makers from using what it says are specifically European names of cheese varieties.

The EU argues that names like feta, parmesan, gorgonzola and others are “geographical indicators” linked to specific European regions and Americans should not be allowed to use the names even if they are made in the same way.

The plan would give the cheese varieties the same protections that prevent Californian sparkling wine from being called champagne or Canadian whiskey labelled as Scotch.

“‘Salty white cheese’ doesn’t have the same ring to it as ‘feta’,” said John Umhoefer, executive director of the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association.
He said that many family-run cheese makers were still using recipes brought over from their ancestors in the 1800s and faced potential bankruptcy if forced to abandon those names.

“These small family businesses are an endangered species and need to be protected,” he said.
European sources told The Telegraph that the issue of cheese names are “a real problem” as the US and EU try to negotiate a transatlantic free trade pact worth more than £120 billion a year.

In a rare moment of bipartisanship, more than 50 Republican and Democrat senators wrote to the US trade negotiators urging them to reject any EU plan “that would restrict in any way the ability of US producers to use common cheese names”.

“Can you imagine going into a grocery store and cheddar and provolone are called something else?” said Pat Toomey, a Republican senator who spearheaded the effort.

The EU has already successfully closed some foreign markets to what it deems the impostor cheeses. American cheese makers are unable to sell Parmesan in South Korea unless they re-brand it and Washington fears that Europe may use free trade agreements to spread those restrictions.

Brussels’ cheese regulators have shown at least some ability to compromise in the past.
In Canada, where 91 per cent of feta is made locally, the EU trade deal allows it to be sold as long as the packaging “does not evoke Greece” with the Greek alphabet or ancient ruins and is clearly labelled as Canadian feta-style of feta-like cheese.

Around 1,200 regional food names - like Parma ham, cognac and sherry - are protected in the EU under legislation to “identify a product as originating in the territory of a particular country, region or locality where its quality, reputation or other characteristic is linked to its geographical origin”.

“It’s so absurd it sounds like a Monty Python sketch,” said Abby Morgan, a Pennsylvania cheese monger, as she imagined EU bureaucrats scrutinising US cheese labels.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
