Rivetopia

Galavanting with a purpose

The 7 Bridges of Twin Rivers

Where the Lehigh River Meets the Delaware River in Phillipsburg NJ, Old Bridges Abound

Coming over from Easton Pennsylvania, the 1937 Pennsylvania Petite through truss Easton-Phillipsburg Toll Bridge, in all it’s moderne glory, sits just 200 yards up the Delaware River from the highly unusual 1895 cantilever through truss Northampton Street bridge with all it’s odd decorative bits. 100 yards downstream the Lehigh River pours in from the west over a 12 foot tall waterfall, adding significant flow to the shallow Delaware. Hardly 100 yards behind the waterfall, an old CNJ Pratt truss carries the railway over the closed spandrel George S Smith concrete arch bridge, a nice shallow arch bridge from just before WWI that brings the road across the end of the Lehigh. Less than a stone’s throw to the east, back on the Delaware a 3 span turn of the century Parker through truss brings the CNJ over the Delaware and right up to the Lehigh. From an earlier age, yet only a few dozen yards away, a multi-span Pratt deck truss brought the D&L RR across the river until the late 1950’s or 60’s. Barely 10 feet away an under-slung “fishbelly” Warren deck truss once brought the CNJ line out of PA and into NJ across the Delaware, and may still be in use by whoever owns the lines in this day and age. You can barely see them in the picture of the 3 span Parker, but they’re there, hanging down behind it.

Somewhat incongruously, from a small park on the Easton PA side of confluence, a rather rare Mk III Driggs-Schroeder rapid fire 6pdr 2.244” naval gun from the 1880s watches over the bridges and the waters, in case Somali pirates should someday be so bold as to venture this far. And while the internet may claim that a Mk III was a Hotchkiss, there is just no arguing with the Driggs horseshoe breach design, even if the dummies in the parks system did manage to mount the gun backwards in its carriage.

All in all, it was a fun little trip through history on a gray and soggy late October’s day. Big iron and steel, millions of hand hammered rivets. Rivet-topia. And for whatever problems it might have, that corner of Easton PA is loaded with 1850s-1920s buildings, many with cast iron decorations, that recall an earlier time when the city was a happening place.

Worst Procrastinator In The World

I am. Totally. The worst procrastinator. Ever.

Heck, I can’t even get my act together to go out and goof off for the day. Instead I get stuck reading stuff on the internet.

rolleyes  rolleyes  rolleyes

HOWEVER ... here is an excellent 10 minute read. You want to read this. Every word. And the first dozen or so comments.

Can We Finally Stop Pretending?

There is not one single fact about this monstrosity [obamacare] that has been truly presented by the president, and his law, its destruction of lives and fortunes, and the pattern of fraud that have accompanied it rest solely and squarely on the Democratic Party. They did this to the United States of America and they did it on purpose.

The left has fought the factual arguments of their opponents with screaming accusations, smears, slanders, and character assassination, with the hysterical label of “racist” trumping all others. It has become reflexive, and thus almost meaningless in its lack of substance, but not entirely so. It bespeaks a psychosis that infects every response of the left to facts, experience, knowledge, and hard-earned wisdom. The finger pointing has been calculated and malicious. And it has been sadly effective with the indoctrinated.

The political lynching of conservatives for the last five years has been an unmitigated lie. Everything conservatives predicted is coming to pass. Every truth they told is playing out publicly. The serial prevaricator who is our president has finally been exposed in ways that even his staunchest spinners cannot spin. The crashed $643 million dollar website, the skyrocketing premiums, the job losses, the dropping of plans by insurers, all of it is out there now regardless of the president’s skin color, which was never the issue except to the extent that it has protected him from responsibility for what he has purposefully done, even to his supporters.

So, can we finally stop pretending that the left has a positive plan for the United States?

Awesome stuff. Worth procrastinating for.

B.R.A., in brief

There are other useful figures from the same Census report that did not make the CNS or Newsmax stories. The government figures were broken down by race. While 20.5% of White and 27.9% of Asian households receive some form of means-tested benefits, 50.9% of Black households and 53.3% of Hispanic households receive welfare assistance. The figure for Hispanic households should dispel any notions that the Republican Party will gain any advantage from immigration reforms that increase the size of this voting bloc. Communities with a high dependence on welfare will vote for the party that promises to keep the benefits flowing. There is a reason every Democrat in Congress supports comprehensive immigration reform that would open a path to the voting booth to those who came into the country illegally.

And for those in the business world (or who look to the business world for guidance) who think “cheap labor” is truly inexpensive, the Census figures show again that taxpayers subsidize the “working poor” who do not earn subsistence incomes. Research done at the Heritage Foundation, particularly by Robert Rector, successfully countered the propaganda of the Chamber of Commerce on this point the last time immigration reform was pending, and should do so again.

The truth is out there. How conservatives present it will determine where the public thinks it is credible or not. Advocates must be wary of giving critics easy points to dispute that can cloud the real issues at stake.

This number does NOT include the approximately 1 in 4 to 1 in 5 black males (youths?) who are incarcerated, and thus (whatever else) receiving government benefits 24 hours a day. And because these stats are about assistance programs, they do not include a single Black or Hispanic person who is employed by the government at any level, and those numbers ARE legion: when government cutbacks seem to be looming on the horizon, “Black leaders” are the first to decry how cuts would be “racist”, given the highly disproportional percentage of people of these demographics who have employment with the government.

So ... 10% of the Black population lives in jail. 50.9% lives on welfare. Another ... quarter? a third? a half? works for the government. Add it all up ... we’re looking at 80% AT A MINIMUM. All of them, dependent on the Man, one way or another, more or less. And don’t forget the $50,000 checks for Pigford II. Thanks Obama!

So white boy ... who’s the slave now? B.R.A. Black Run America; a nation that exists primarily for the benefit of a small segment of the population, who are coddled cradle to grave. And it’s all your fault, forever.

Ozymandius, With Carcinogens

gee ... how unexpected

Bankrupt solar panel firm took stimulus money, left a toxic mess

President Obama touted Abound in a July 3, 2010 announcement of a $2 billion “investment” in green energy projects.

“The second company is Abound Solar Manufacturing, which will manufacture advanced solar panels at two new plants, creating more than 2,000 construction jobs and 1,500 permanent jobs,” Obama said [and what a lying mother fucker he is]. “A Colorado plant is already underway, and an Indiana plant will be built in what’s now an empty Chrysler factory. When fully operational, these plants will produce millions of state-of-the-art solar panels each year.”

But less than two years later, the company laid off half of its 400 workers, and then, in the summer of 2012, filed for bankruptcy. It became the third clean-energy company to seek bankruptcy protection after receiving a loan from the Energy Department under the economic stimulus law. California solar panel maker Solyndra and Beacon Power, a Massachusetts energy-storage firm, also declared bankruptcy. Solyndra received a $528 million federal loan, while Beacon Power got a $43 million loan guarantee.

Colorado-based solar company that got hundreds of millions of dollars in federal loan guarantees before going belly-up didn’t just empty taxpayers’ wallets - it left behind a toxic mess of carcinogens, broken glass and contaminated water, according to a new report.

The Abound Solar plant, which got $400 million in federal loan guarantees in 2010, when the Obama administration sought to use stimulus funds to promote green energy, filed for bankruptcy two years later. Now its Longmont, Colo., facility sits unoccupied, its 37,000 square feet littered with hazardous waste, broken glass and contaminated water. The Northern Colorado Business Report estimates it will cost up to $3.7 million to clean and repair the building so it can again be leased.

“If a coal, oil or gas company pulled something like that the EPA would send out SWAT teams and the U.S. Marshals to track down the offenders, bankrupt or not.”

- National Legal and Policy Center, a think tank

Do we have standing now?

It’s my understanding that a person has to actually suffer damages before they have standing to sue the Government. Any lawyers out there?

If you’ve lost your employer-provided health insurance, you’ve suffered damages under ObamaCare.

If you’ve been down-graded from full-time to part-time because of ObamaCare, you’ve suffered damages.

If you’ve been denied employment because of ObamaCare, you’ve suffered damages.

Most of the country has standing to sue. Again, I’m not a lawyer, but I think there are several class-action lawsuits possible here.

Get The Lead Out

And Then There Were None

Last Lead Smelter In USA To Close Down

EPA Regs Too Costly To Comply With

Repercussions Destroy Local Community

Anything using lead (like bullets) now subject to import/export rules

There. That tells the whole story in the headlines I think. Nice and fast.

[October 2010] Herculaneum Missouri - Doe Run Co. will close its lead smelter in Herculaneum in three years and will pay $65 million to correct violations of environmental laws at 10 of its lead processing facilities in southeast Missouri, the company and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said Friday.

Environmentalists, who have called attention to the dangers of lead poisoning, heralded the news while local officials worried what the future holds for Herculaneum, the Jefferson County town that has relied on the smelter for jobs and tax money for more than 100 years.

The company said it will end operations at the lead smelter, the only primary lead smelter in the United States, by Dec. 31, 2013.
...
Doe Run must establish financial assurance trust funds, at an estimated cost of $28 million to $33 million, for the cleanup of Herculaneum and other active or former mining and milling facilities, the EPA said.

In addition, the company must pay a $7 million civil penalty for violating a series of environmental laws. Doe Run said half of that will go to schools in Iron, Reynolds, Jefferson and Washington counties.
...
270 people work at the Herculaneum plant, many of whom could retain jobs if the new plant goes there. If it doesn’t, Pyatt said, only a few employees will remain to carry out duties such as supervising remediation in Herculaneum.

Pyatt said local officials have been lobbying hard to keep the company in Herculanuem.

“They really want to keep the jobs and the tax base there,” Pyatt said.  It’s not surprising — the plant paid $933,000 last year in property taxes.

So the evil polluting smelter, that’s been there since teh end of the Civil War, employs the whole town and pays most of the taxes, has to be punished and driven out of business. Gee, I wonder what happened next?

[2012] For 25 years, the smelter didn’t meet federal air standards for lead, and now, after decades of battling government regulators and angry parents, Doe Run is leaving town at the end of next year.

The battles over contamination turned this town on its head, pitting neighbor against neighbor, uprooting and bulldozing the center of town. It all culminated in a storm of lawsuits: one of them—against the Environmental Protection Agency -- forced the federal government to revise the national air pollution standard for lead, tightening it by a factor of ten.

Now, unable to meet the tough new standard, Doe Run is finally closing the plant: the last primary lead smelter in the United States will be dismantled at the end of next year. In June, Doe Run made it final – the company won’t be rebuilding in Herculaneum with a new cleaner plant, as they had earlier planned on. That would be “an unacceptable financial risk.”

So the town, it’s greedy lawyers, and the corruptocrat bastards at the EPA put the screws to Doe Run so bad that they said to hell with it, and shut things down. And don’t you just bloody LOVE how the company’s suit against the government’s singling them out for persecution FORCED the EPA to make the lead pollution rules TEN TIMES more onerous? Forced them! Twisted their arms to make them come up with new regs impossible for anyone to comply with. Rather similar to Obama and his quest to kill the coal industry.

And now? Well ... the laws of unintended consequences being what they are ...

About 145 employees of the Doe Run lead smelter have learned they will lose their jobs at the end of December because of the plant’s closure, the Doe Run Co. said Wednesday. An additional 73 contractor jobs also will be eliminated.

The EPA says the company decided to close its plant instead of installing pollution control technologies.

City Administrator Jim Kasten said Friday he was worried about potential job losses and the crushing financial blow, especially to the school district, that the company’s departure would cause.

“This is a big deal, and how we’re going to counteract these things, I don’t know at this point,” he said.

Doe Run contributes 11 percent of the local revenue for the Dunklin School District, which includes Herculaneum, said Superintendent Stan Stratton.

The loss of that income would “force a heavier burden on our taxpayers,” Stratton said. The district’s annual budget, including state and federal money, is about $13 million.

The effects go further. Doe Run uses about half the water the city contracts to buy. Kasten estimated that when smelting stops, the average household’s water bill would increase by $30 to $40 a month.

“If Doe Run’s not buying it, someone’s got to,” Kasten said.

So the town will soon be pretty much out of business, with a whole domino cascade of missing taxes and absent money spreading the poverty far and wide. But those empty homes and businesses will have less pollution!

And as for sportsmen ... hunters and shooters ... not to mention any business in the nation that uses solder in its electronics ... or X-ray shielding ... or anything lead has always been used for ... possibly a national security issue (and now we know why DHS bought up all those billions of rounds! And why the military came up with “green” bullets with tungsten cores, because reducing pollution in the middle of a war is so so important, right??) ...

Doe Run made significant efforts to reduce lead emissions from the smelter, but in 2008 the federal Environmental Protection Agency issued new National Ambient Air Quality Standards for lead that were 10 times tighter than the previous standard. Given the new lead air quality standard, Doe Run made the decision to close the Herculaneum smelter.

Whatever the EPA’s motivation when creating the new lead air quality standard, increasingly restrictive regulation of lead is likely to affect the production and cost of traditional ammunition. Just this month, California Governor Jerry Brown signed into law a bill that will ban lead ammunition for all hunting in California. The Center for Biological Diversity has tried multiple times to get similar regulations at the federal level by trying, and repeatedly failing, to get the EPA to regulate conventional ammunition under the Toxic Substances Control Act.

At this time, it’s unclear if Doe Run or another company will open a new lead smelter in the United States that can meet the more stringent lead air quality standards by using more modern smelting methods. What is clear is that after the Herculaneum smelter closes its doors in December, entirely domestic manufacture of conventional ammunition, from raw ore to finished cartridge, will be impossible.

trying

Bit of writer’s block here. Having trouble taking the blog approach to writing: find a news story, grab a short quote or two, gin up two or three lines of opinionated text, figure out a snappy title or one with a cheesy pun. Throw in a picture and a couple links. Next post.

No, I get bogged down. Want to investigate the whole story. Background. History. Counter-opinions. And that takes forever. And then I wind up writing 5000 word essays that almost nobody reads. Gotta keep it short and tight.

So, I’ll try to do the Doe Run story ... even though to me it looks like the EPA just managed to do an end run around the Second Amendment. Which is the kind of analytical take-away that comes from digging too deeply. For now, I’ll just leave it as a bunch of Greenies getting their just comeuppance, and an arm of the government essentially destroying a town trying to save it. Which is what Lt. Calley said, isn’t it? Like I said, digging too deeply.

killer walks out of open prison, police very concerned. for you? Nope. for killer’s welfare they say

There is just NO WAY I can ignore and pass over this story.  Perhaps if Brits really did have their say, they would bring back the rope. Since that isn’t in the cards, wouldn’t you think a guy like this would NOT be in an open area where he could escape.  Which he did.  In spite of serving 2 life sentences.

However ... this little quote is something else to worry about and wonder about the police authorities.  Are they all holding hands and singing we are the world?  What the hell gives with this. Look at this police statement.

“We have information that gives us concern for his welfare”

His welfare?  What about the public?  Do they count for anything?  Sure do. Pay taxes so wankers like this nut case can walk free from an open prison.

Murderer on the loose after escaping from open prison. ’

Serving two life sentences for 1995 kidnap and murder.

By Mark Duell

A convicted killer was tonight on the loose after he escaped from an open prison.

Alan Giles was in the open part of the multiple-category HMP Hewell in Redditch, Worcestershire, serving two life sentences for the murder and kidnap of 16-year-old student Kevin Ricketts in 1995.

The 56-year-old, who previously worked as a builder and is originally from Oldbury, West Midlands, absconded yesterday - and West Mercia Police officers are now desperately trying to track him down.

a high-profile figure in the Scottish Occupy movement hacks usa military and nasa.

Well here go again.

I guess it’s not too hard for someone like myself, who has a million miles to go to even hope he can understand puters, to be critical of the security exhibited by American military interests. It’s because I have mistakenly had this vision you see, of American tech know how and till recent times our technical invincibility.  My excuse, or a better word would be explanation, is that I’ve had too much pride in our abilities and not really knowing enough about computers and how things work, basics aside, I just assumed that our tech people did.
This is getting way outta hand people, and I confess I’m way frustrated.  I guess our puter ppl are even more so.
Gee whiz ... after that wikileaks snot and faggot Manning and then Snowden ... here we are yet again with egg on our face and an open back door to sensitive info stored on American computers. In fact, this scummy creep who I dearly wish somebody would kill, slowly, drip by bloody drip, has bragged about his attacks and was planning quite a bit more.  Hate doesn’t even begin to describe what I feel.

So here ....  in a nutshell, is the story,

His name is Lauri Love.  For real, that’s his name.

Lauri Love, an activist in the Occupy movement, is alleged to have stolen ‘massive amounts’ of confidential information – including details of military servicemen – by breaking into thousands of computers.

The 28-year-old from Stradishall, Suffolk, is said to have bragged in messages with his co-conspirators:

‘You have no idea how much we can f*** with the US government if we wanted to’.

He seems to brag about infiltrating Nasa networks. He allegedly wrote: ‘lol Nasa. Ahaha, we owning lots of Nasa sites.  I think we can do some hilarious stuff with it.’

In another post, he wrote: ‘This stuff is really sensitive. It’s basically every piece of information you’d need to do full identity theft on any employee or contractor for the [government agency].’ It is claimed that Love, who used the online pseudonyms ‘nsh’, ‘route’, ‘peace’, ‘shift’ and ‘love’, planned to use social media, including Twitter, to publicise the attacks.

In one message he planned to announce an attack ‘so it rolls along the morning news in US and gets Europe for the afternoon and evening.’

Love was a leader in protests at Glasgow University, where he was a student. He helped organise demonstrations including a sit-in as part of a protest against cuts to higher education.

He is also believed to have been a high-profile figure in the Scottish Occupy movement, part of the protests which swept throughout much of the world in 2011, and has been pictured at Occupy marches.

Love, who is believed to have studied physics, maths and computing, was apparently involved in 2011’s ‘Hetherington House Occupation’, in which dozens of protesters took over an unused university building in Glasgow and stayed there for seven months.
The charges against Love were filed at the federal court in Newark, New Jersey, because he allegedly used a server in the state as part of his activities. He also faces charges in Virginia for other alleged intrusions.

Either we need to hire these sorts of scum or else kill them.

Here’s the headline as it is online. Not posting the whole article ... use link if interested.

British Baptist minister’s son, 28, who ‘keeps to himself’ charged with hacking into top secret US Army databases, Nasa, and other government agencies

Lauri Love from Stradishall, Suffolk arrested by National Crime Agency
Love, 28, described in court papers as ‘sophisticated and prolific hacker’
Charges follow a joint operation by a number of international police forces
He could be extradited to US where if convicted he faces 10 years in jail
Love has previously been a leader in the Occupy protest movement

By John Stevens, Daniel Bates and Hugo Gye

image

Love could be extradited to the US, where if convicted he faces up to ten years in prison and a fine for twice the damage caused.

The US government said Love worked with two other people in Australia and one in Sweden – who have not been charged – ‘to disrupt the operations and infrastructure’ of the federal government.

From October 2012 until July this year it is claimed he hacked into thousands of government computer systems – including those of the US Army, US Missile Defense Agency and Nasa – and left behind ‘back doors’ through which he could return to get sensitive data.

The hacking ‘substantially impaired the functioning of dozens of computer servers’ and caused ‘millions of dollars in damage’ to government agencies, according to the indictment.

Algerian jailed for robbery is given £25,000 compensation because he was waiting too long to be deported

· Aziz Lamari was jailed for 12 months for robbery and detained too long
· Awarded £25,000 damages because attempts to deport him took too long
· Home Office accepted liability for basic and aggravated damages to compensate for 23 days unlawful detention
By Anna Edwards

A foreign national jailed for 12 months for robbery has been awarded £25,000 damages because he was detained too long while attempts were made to deport him.

In June last year, the High Court ruled that Algerian citizen Aziz Lamari should have been released the previous month.
This was based on how there was no realistic prospect of him being removed within a reasonable time frame and medical reports revealed he was suffering from serious mental illness and had twice attempted suicide.

It also found that the Home Secretary Theresa May was in contempt of court because her department failed to release Lamari after it accepted he should no longer be in detention and gave an undertaking to release him into suitable accommodation.

Lamari, 23, who has now returned to Algeria, was detained after his robbery sentence came to an end in December 2010 and his deportation ordered.
After Judge Barry Cotter’s ruling, the Home Office accepted liability for basic and aggravated damages to compensate for the period of 23 days unlawful detention, but denied liability for exemplary damages.

Today, the judge awarded £10,000 basic compensation plus £5,000 aggravated damages and took the exceptional step of saying the case called for an award of £10,000 exemplary damages ‘by way of punishment, to deter and to vindicate the strength of the law’.

He said that the unlawful detention had to be seen in the light of Lamari’s serious mental health problems and the evidence of his significant deterioration, as witnessed by his cellmate, could not be ignored.

‘It had been clearly set out that the continued detention of the claimant was the cause of his mental health problems and had been the likely cause of two serious suicide attempts.

Serious suicide attempts ?  BS!  If he was serious about topping his filthy self he’d have done it right the first time.  If he was mental, then all the better he take himself out. Authorities should have let him.  No great loss.
Read the rest of this and the comments at the link.  Maddening but interesting.
Freekin goofball justice criminal system and goofball judges.  And the shit they claim doesn’t even speak English.
This case and even worse is one reason they are lost without a map or gps. Doomed I tell ya.

males and females

Some news good and some is rotten and one story is very educational.  Lets see. Not sure what order to use here.

OK, the really bad news first. Get that outta the way.

You may recall a couple of weeks ago that over three hundred would be illegals off the coast of Italy are now sleeping with the fishes. That was the good news.  You may remember their boat caught fire and sank. Darn if that wasn’t funny and btw they started the fire but I forget why.
Anyway, I was rather pleased with the outcome of their nautical adventure as were many Italians.
So here’s the really bad news and it gets worse.

Recently the Italians have doubled patrols off shore to insure that another event like the one described wouldn’t happen again.
Seems bleating, bleeding weak hearted, weak willed hand wringers got all weepy eyed and ... here’s very bad news.  They (Italian Coast Guard) saved about 700 from sinking boats in the same area. :>( I am certain that soon, they’ll arrive in Europe and especially the UK.

The only good news to come out of that is that about 10 or 12 were drowned.  Hell, at that rate they’ll really over run Europe in no time at all.
I really think some dedicated Italian patriots (assuming there’s any left on the planet) should outfit very fast boats and go looking for incoming illegals and blast em out of the water.  Heads bobbing in the water could make for excellent target practice.

Ok so for something entirely different and educational, I found this story on line tonight. Please hold the laughter cos this is some damn serious stuff.
This is a study done by honest to gosh researchers with college degrees, so you know it isn’t kid’s play.
Kids don’t get to go to the University of Nebraska, from which this report originates.  So pay close attention.
Men most likely will already know this. ? Some men will.
Women the world over will be amazed and possibly shocked.

Here ya go.

Take a look.

image

Men DO ogle women:

Eye-tracking technology reveals they can’t help staring at female bodies - but don’t care about the face

A study has shown that men spend less time looking women in the eye or at their faces than they do on their waists and chests
Same experiment carried out on 29 women came up with similar conclusions - females look at other women’s body more than their faces

By Daniel Bates

no surprise to most women, but now science has proven that men really do ogle their bodies.

A study has shown that men spend less time looking women in the eyes or their faces than they do on their waists and chests.

Researchers attached an eye-tracking device to the faces of 36 men which measured in milliseconds how long they looked at something.

The men were monitored as they were shown pictures of 10 women with three body shapes; curvy, thin or medium build.

STUFF YOU DIDN’T KNOW FOR SURE BEFORE NOW. LOL

Come on, how many actually knew this before?  This “study” musta cost something, so I’m pretty sure it’s accurate. What a hoot.

Something hasta been wired wrong with me cos I do pay lots of attention to a face.  Not all guys are boob crazy either.

Drew wrote something on this very subject a month or so ago, and I was sure I’d saved it. Can’t find it or would have posted it again.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
