Education News

Good Lord!  To say “education” and our school system in the same sentence is enough to cause cognitive dissonance nowadays.

But here we have it: the use of the color red in grading papers. I first wrote about this last August. My niece is a teacher. She confirmed it.  That story came from Mass-a-two-shits.  This one comes from Connecticut.  Both blue states.  Both liberal havens that love mind-fucking our young kids.

Just what the hell kind of kids are we raising when even colors terrorize them?  Will they be able to grow up and defend themselves in the job environment? Or will the northeast by the breeding grounds for future McDonald’s workers, lawn care guys, and cart-pushers at Wal-Mart?

Listen to this drivel: 

“It’s taken a turn from ‘Here’s what you need to improve on’ to ‘Here’s what you’ve done right,’” Powell said. “It’s not that we’re not pointing out mistakes, it’s just that the method in which it’s delivered is more positive.”

In other words, instead of using red and allowing the kid to know he or she screwed up on the test, we now use a different color to say the same thing?  Exactly what’s changed?  That now the kid will feel better about being a fuckup?  What pure bullshit and tripe.

Her students, she said, probably would tune out red because they are so used to it. So she grades with whatever color — turquoise blue, hot pink, lime green — appeals to them.

So that’s like saying, don’t whip me with that black cat o’ nine tails.  Use the blue one.  It hurts just as bad but the color appeals to me.

What am I missing here?

Meanwhile, in the Socialist Kingdom of England we have a change coming to their educational system where the lowest grade a student can receive is now a C.

Obviously there is something about British schools that I am missing here, too.  Hey, they have things like O levels and A levels.  Maybe our English friend can explain this to me.

Abstinence, Evil; Promiscuity, Good!

What other conclusion can you come to when you have asshats like the ACLU plus assorted other liberal bed-wetting groups demanding the government web site promoting abstinence be taken down?

Why do they want that?  Because it’s “DICTATING VALUES!!”

But when the ACLU and the NEA promote school classes showing kids how to put condoms on cucumbers and telling little boys it’s OK to experiment with other little boys---that’s NOT dictating THEIR values?

What a bunch of fuck-wits.

You tell me what’s wrong when the site:

“advises parents to tell their teens why they should not have sex: “Tell them abstinence is the healthiest choice. They will not have to worry about getting pregnant or getting someone pregnant. They will not have to worry about sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV/AIDS. Nor will they have to worry that the person they are dating is only interested in them because of sex. “

And it paints a bleak picture for teens who get pregnant: “Many teen mothers never finish high school. Teen mothers and their babies are more likely to have health problems. And families started by teen mothers are more likely to be poor and end up on welfare.”

Are they lying?  Are the consequences of teen sex incorrect?

Of course, the NEA, the ACLU, GLADD, NAMBLA, etc. all prefer kids to have wanton sex, in great abandon.  That way they can keep their jobs as social workers, counselors, abortion clinic doctors and nurses, AIDS care providers, etc. all the while sucking more and more money from the taxpayer for doing so.

How I HATE these groups for their misinformation.  (gratuitous “hate” comment provided to bait our latest troll.)

WTF?!?!?!

Several from our WTF?!?! department today.  I’ll try and post them in a way which has some sort of “thread” between them.  A linkage, of sorts.

We’ll start with story about the US Army prosecuting one of its own for “mercy killing” an Iraqi with serious head wounds.  Maybe she should have been allowed to starve to death instead?

The Army is now being accused of “religious discrimination” because one of its asshats was found guilty of willfully disobeying orders.

You may have heard about this in the past. Guy gets told to go to Iraq and “all of a sudden” determines it is against his religion---a pagan religion.  Practicing witchcraft.  Oh, and did I mention he screwed around with others in his marriage....

with his wife’s consent......

and that he’s bi-sexual.....

and admitted it?

Time to take this one out behind the barn and air condition his head.

Let’s see how many things are wrong here. 
You are married. 

You have a debilitating illness. 

You go to a psychologist?!?!?!?!?!

For OVER TWO YEARS?!?!?!

Who....................

Taught you SPELLS?!?!?!....

Told you your Buddhist faith was wrong....

Told you your condition was terminal....

Convinced you to divorce your husband....

Convinced you to move in with the psychologist.....

Who then convinced you to take nekkid pictures of HER....

Look, it’s one thing to be a bad doctor but it’s totally another to be so stupid to stay with that doctor for almost 2 ½ years and do those stupid things.

Whatever happened to common sense and free will?

Taking zero-tolerance a bit too far, eh?  Schools in Maryland have mixed policies regarding the use of sunscreen.  Some let you use it.  Others mandate it be done through the nurse’s office.  Still others ban it entirely.

Oh, and kids have a “right” to wear sunscreen, too.  Hang on a sec’ while I go check my Constitution.

Yep, just as I thought.  It’s not in there.

Are our kids such pussies nowadays they need sunscreen to play outside?

That’s all I want to know.

You saw the “threads” right?  Army, Army/witchcraft, witchcraft/stupid people, stupid people/lawmakers?

Yeah, OK, a bit of a stretch.  Just don’t tell James Taranto!

OH!  BOY!! More Campus Lunacy

As if making porno films on campus weren’t bad enough, the femi-nazis (Feminist Action League--FAL) are in full review at the University of New Hampshire.

Doesn’t that name sound like it’d be a great name for a cartoon program?

Stay tuned, boys and girls, for the Feminist Action League where Sally Fem kicks boy butt.  She’ll be joined by Mandy Manhater who will chill and thrill you as she kicks little boys in the crotch.

One writer for the school paper was excluded from the event.  He is a male.  And as Mike so correctly points out, the event:

an example of an extremist group promoting stereotypes and encouraging violence towards another group. This is the kind of thing that is tolerated in the name of campus diversity, simply because the targets are the “right” group (Read: Not blacks, women, or gays).

An Education System Follow-Up

A court has fined a school superintendent for refusing to interview a woman for a job vacancy in a public school because her kids were in a private school.

How arrogant can these people get, anyway?

Bully for her!

Students who had opinions about homosexuals and said the lifestyle is wrong were told to keep their opinions to themselves by the school.

The Alliance Defense Fund filed a federal lawsuit against the school that did so.

Apparently, diversity only counts when the subjects and opinions are those decreed by the liberal, panty-waisted, bed-wetting leftists in this country.

And what happens when you have colleges and universities packed with liberal asshats?

This.

They may not be able to discuss Pythagorean’s Theorem but they can go into great detail about the many sex positions the co-eds will adopt to make their male students happy.

NO!!!  REALLY?!?!?!

I never would have guessed in ten million years!  A recent study finds most faculties are liberal!

Well, knock me down with a feather!

But, as they used to say, “those that can’t do----teach!”

In run-of the mill universities it is a 72/15 (liberal/conservative) mix.  In elite campii it’s 87/13.  What’s funny about most of this is the fact that at the campus level self ID is 50/11 while in the general public (outside of campii,) the numbers are 33/18.  So, in effect, we have 50% more socialists on campus and about 37% fewer conservatives than in the general public.  No wonder our kids are so fucked up.

This is great:

“What’s most striking is how few conservatives there are in any field,”

Well, DUH!!!  They’re out in the real world making money, you asshat!!!  Or they are being discriminated against by assholes like those who do the hiring at CU.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

Yes, boys and girls, hot on the heels of this post I find THIS story. I can think of no better word to describe it than “UNBELIEVABLE!!!”

It’s almost too much to bear.

Here’s how it starts:

A Bronx teacher who repeatedly flunked his state certification exam paid a......man.... $2 to take the test for him, authorities said yesterday.

Here’s what you need to know:

--the guy who failed it did so several times

--his last name is “Brightly”

---the guy he paid to take the test is 20 years older AND developmentally disabled but possesses both a bachelor’s and master’s degrees

---if Brightly failed this test he’d lose his $59,000 a year job

---the test taker did MUCH better than Brightly ever did

---95% of all teachers who take this test pass it

---Brightly obtained a counterfeit ID card in his name for the test taker

Oh, did I also mention that the test taker is 58 years old, overweight and WHITE!

Brightly (or, as he should be called “Not-So-Brightly") is 38, skinny and BLACK!

Sounds like he attended the California public school system mentioned in the link above.

I’ll leave it to the rest of you to wonder how this all could have taken place.  And who should get fired.  And how Brightly was allowed to go on as long as he did.

You can’t make stuff like this up.

Everyone Has A Purpose To Serve

I firmly believe that every person serves a purpose on this planet.  Of course, being as cynical as I am (yet still benevolent) many serve as nothing more than bad examples for the rest of us.

So when I read this study by Harvard edu-crats which showed:

“that dropout rates for Latinos and black students are abysmal. Just 50.2 percent of black boys who entered ninth grade in the Golden State received a diploma four years later.”

Well, suffice it to say I was not surprised.

But listen.  I am trying very hard to always find the positive out of negative news.

In this case I look at it this way:  we need shitloads of people who need nothing more than a 5th grade education in order to hold jobs where the most difficult thing they do is say, “you want fries with that?”

Or people to cut my grass.

Hell, imagine if all these students were well educated and good citizens.  The calamity that would befall the corrections industry would be catastrophic.  All those jailers and cooks and counselors and wardens out of jobs!  And let’s not forget those in the construction business building those jails.  Or the bail/bond guys.  Cops, too!  And lawyers to defend these scumbags.

So let’s all give California a great big thanks for helping our economy.  <--sarcasm off-->

Vagina Warrior?!?!?!?!

We’ve all heard of Protest Warrior, right?  Their having a rally this weekend in Chicago, according to our Annoying Little Twerp.

But Vagina Warriors?

Read Professor Mike Adams’ piece on what is going on at the University of NC.

They recently put on The Vagina Monologues and this is what was seen:

--flashing marquees on the streets (near several churches) flashing “VAGINA” in large letters

--lollipops shaped like vaginas on sale in the entrance with:

members of our university community walk(ing) around licking the sex-organ-shaped treats in an apparent display of feminist empowerment.

--skits titled:  “My angry vagina,” “My vagina was my village,” “The little coochie snorcher that could,” and “Reclaiming c--t.”

--they even asked a six year old (YES, 6 YEARS OLD!!!):

“If your vagina got dressed, what would it wear?”; “If it could speak what would it say?” and; “What does your vagina smell like?”

This is what passes for education and female empowerment at our universities.

Meanwhile, Harvard is still attempting to dump President Summers by passing a vote of no confidence in his abilities.

Remember, we talked about him here and an article about it here.

It’s important to note he prefaced everything he said with words to the effect that he was going to provoke them with ideas in order to get their thought processes rolling.  Even so, feminists walked out and are now demanding his head----for ideas!!!!

It makes you wonder:  Why are these feminists so stupid?  And do they ever get laid?  Is that why they are so angry at the world?

One more thing:  please do read what Walter Williams has to say about this whole Summers thing.  You’ll chuckle as he drives the knife home into feminists and edu-crats in the last 2 paragraphs.

The State Of Education

Florida has a requirement for all seniors to pass a comprehensive test before they can get a diploma.  Last I checked they could take it 5 times.

Now they don’t even have to try.

Sorry, I don’t know about you but I could not get any feeling of satisfaction knowing I did not do it all by myself.

What kind of parents do this for their kids?  What are they teaching them?

We need go no further to discover why so many kids are so fucked up and incapable of dealing with the harsh realities of life.

Kid has summer school.  Three assignments are part of the requirement for this HONORS class.  Kid’s father SUES the school because it’s not fair to assign homework during vacation!!!

Judge over rules and whacks the father for basically being stupid. 

What the judge should have done was sterilize the father and son and hope no further pro-creation took place.

What do you bet this kid’s parents will stand up for him?  And how the hell did they know it was him?  He sent them anonymously. Cum and get ‘em!!!!  Frozen treats!!!

Star Trek and tank protection.  Israel demonstrated

an invisible “shield” that surrounds an armored vehicle protecting it from anti-tank missiles and neutralizing them before they reach their target.

Fact or science fiction?

FACT. Those wiley Jews are at it again!

Hey, this guy has a sick sense of humor AS WELL AS a sick perversion.  Check out the name of the road where he was caught.  And check out the name of the road he lives on.  He’s “BENT” alright!

Fascinating.  Simply fascinating.  A treasure trove of bronze-age cargo was found off Devon, in England.  Considering the trade that went on it would be extraordinarily interesting to have a re-enactment video or a book describing how life was 3500 years ago in a trading community.  I’ll bet everyone smelled really badly, conditions were horrid, food sucked and the rich lived almost as badly as the poor except they had more food and more furs.  But they still stank!

For our Kiwi pals....isn’t this close to where you are?  Must have been a small boat.  Too bad fishermen aren’t armed.  They’d have a nice trophy to hang off the bowsprit.

I Like The Way This School Thinks

OK, I’ll admit, as soon as I saw the hyphenated name I thought, “I’ll bet this woman is a whiner who’d defend her kid no matter how heinous his acts in school.”

But it got better.  She not only did but “her eyes filled with tears” at the prospect of actually having to discipline the little pain in the ass.

Her eyes may have been filled with tears but her hand should have been filled with a paddle.

OK, Who Can Find A Picture Of Her?

Here’s another female teacher found porking a student.

No picture yet, though.  But the town is where the movie “Radio” was filmed.  Plus he’s 17, over the age of consent so its doubtful she’ll do time.  But she committed a serious ethics violation and should be fired.

Hell, if this keeps up soon we’ll have enough pictures of female teachers to start a real gallery.
