I know this is not America, but still, the rules should still apply.  A person in another part of the world wants a better life, and seeks out a new home.  The contract should be that in exchange for allowing others to join in and become a citizen, that that person adopt his new home and abide by its rules, its culture, its laws, and its norms.  They accept the history of his or her new home, and pitch in to become one with that new home, and contribute to make that new home a better place, so it will continue to prosper.  (Very much as outlined by Teddy Roosevelt’s speech)

But instead, the newcomer gets ALL of the benefits he or she sought out, but wants to give NOTHING in return.  They do not want to participate in the way that is acceptable by that host’s standards.  They want all the rules changed to suit them, they want the culture that offends them halted, and they want any history that offends them wiped away.  These new people want all the benefits, but want to give nothing in return.  As if somehow, their mere presence in the new country is all they owe.  BS!!!.  I say, no country no longer allow ANYONE to benefit or come to their country unless that person agrees to abide by certain standards and rules, and become a full participating member and ultimately, a citizen if possible.  Otherwise, what the hell is in it for the host country, beside of course, expense, and hassle?  And make that person agree to do these things, and if they fail, they go back.  No court rulings...nothing.  It’s all in the contract.  Like a full payment due on demand clause if a person fails to pay their mortgage.  That person is scooped up, and shipped back to whatever dunghill they came from.  If they liked the rules there so much, instead of trying to change their new home, they should simply stay put. 
Do this a few times, and I bet the caliber of immigrant and those seeking benefits from other countries will improve greatly.
We need to nip this crap in the bud now, or will be destroyed by this nonsense.

Above was posted in comments here at bmews.  At the time I read it, I had just seen the story I am posting below and thought, how fitting.
In another post, Sdkar made ref. to America, which could easily apply to the UK if anyone was serious about saving this country.  All of what he wrote makes sense to many of us, but the many of us are not the ones making the decisions and enforcing political correctness.
In the case here, there have been arrests.  Will the vermin who did this be deported?  Not if he has wife and family here because you see, one of his many human rights, is the right to a family life.  Is that English law? Don’t think so but not sure. I am sure however, that it is a ruling handed down by the ECOHR, which is, The European Court of Human Rights.  I don’t believe the men involved in this story are at all human. But hey ... that’s me.

The kind of life forms that believe in this sort of thing, truly believe they are doing good, and just would never be able to understand anyone who believed otherwise. They live in another time and place and yet .... it’s the west that MUST be ‘understanding’ and compassionate.  We are not allowed to voice disgust out loud to these people, except in polite and civil ways and then it’s in the press.  But if you come face to face with one of these dark age brainless twits and tell em what you think, you’re islamophobic and a racist and a number of other things that aren’t compliments. And ... you could also end up in court if you should “hurt their feelings”.

The first charges in British history over female genital mutilation have been brought against two men - one of whom is a doctor.
Dr Dhanoun Dharmasena from the Whittington Hospital in north London, and Hasan Mohamed, who is not a medic, will face charges under the Female Genital Mutilation Act.
It is claimed the doctor carried out the procedure on a woman who had given birth in November 2012, and that Mohamed encouraged and helped him, prosecutors said.

Today prosecutors said they had also looked at four other cases - one of which was new and three that were reconsidered after decisions to take no further action - and found there was insufficient evidence to bring charges.
One of the old cases involved a man calling an FGM helpline, intended for victims, to ask for the procedure to be carried out on his two daughters.
The new case involved two parents accused of taking their daughter abroad to have FGM.
The CPS would not give details of the other two cases.
The pair who have been charged will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on April 15.
Those found guilty under the Act can face a maximum of 14 years in jail.
It is notoriously difficult to bring charges under FGM laws because victims are afraid to give evidence.
‘It is a very difficult injury to talk about,’ she said. ‘It is an abuse of their body and it is not a part of the body that people want to talk about in public.’

CUTTING’ IS A CULTURAL TRADITION

The tradition originated in ethnic groups spread throughout 28 African countries, including Egypt, Ethiopia, Somalia and Sudan, and spread across the world as groups emigrated.
The circumcision or ‘cutting’ is carried out for cultural reasons, often because it shows a girl’s virginity on her wedding night.
FGM is defined as any partial or full removal of a woman’s outer sexual organs. It can also involve sewing up the vagina.
In cultures where the tradition is common, ‘uncut’ girls can be thought more likely to be promiscuous, unhygienic, and prone to diseases such as HIV/Aids.
The procedure is traditionally carried out by an older woman with no medical training and without any anaesthetic or antiseptics, risking infection.
Their basic tools include knives, scissors, scalpels, pieces of glass or razor blades. Iodine or a mixture of herbs is placed on the wound to tighten the vagina and stop the bleeding.
Prosecutors in today’s case have not specified what type of procedure is alleged to have been carried out.
It is thought as many as 66,000 women in the UK have suffered FGM with 24,000 girls under 11 also at risk.

Defining the term

Some things don’t need to be said. Some pictures don’t need to be shown. Sometimes you don’t even need to see the names. Some behaviors are just so ... stereotypical ... that they define the term, ever more perfectly.

Which is utterly true. And as far from being Politically Correct as is possible.

Pregnant woman in labor robbed at gunpoint in Annapolis

A pregnant woman in labor and a man were robbed at gunpoint early Sunday morning, Annapolis police said.

Around 4:30 a.m., a 911 caller alerted police that two people were being held up in 1800 block of Copeland St. When officers arrived, the suspects fled in a stolen vehicle, police said.

A chase ensued but the suspects abandoned the vehicle near Tyler Court and were apprehended by officers on foot, police said.

During the chase the suspects threw a gun from the vehicle, which was recovered by officers.

son kills innocent man, mom says it was accident and no big deal, asks why the fuss.

Saw this in morning paper and knew I had to boot and get this out of my system, in a manner of speaking.

On Tuesday I posted an article about some poor guy who was punched, fell to the ground, hit his head on the pavement and died.  It could have been an unintended consequence but there was no reason at all, for the mud person to hit the fellow to begin with.  In fact if you look at the photos, the victim was glancing away from the killer when he struck. But no matter. Two things that matter are, 1) the thug’s mother who has said, “It’s no big deal” and asks, “why all the fuss?”

The hand that rocks the cradle indeed. 
Not that it excuses the murderous piece of filth we are encouraged to view as human, and cautioned about using language that may offend him because it’s always seen as racist to do so.

The second thing that matters and I think it matters a lot, is the judge in Winchester who sentenced the killer to four years.
Well … here’s a bit of judgy background on him.

He is the self same idiot judge who called for silence in court to commemorate the death of a gang member shot by police. This was the shooting of Mark Duggan which was the excuse used to riot and burn a few cities over the course of a week.

The mother of a thug who killed an autistic man dismissed his crime as ‘no big deal’ last night.

In a display of callous indifference, Sherron O’Hagan said she did not know ‘what all the fuss was about’.

Her son Lewis Gill killed Andrew Young with a single punch in an unprovoked attack captured on CCTV.
He was given just four years but a public outcry may lead to a longer sentence.
The Attorney General says he will examine whether the jail term was too short.

Dominic Grieve’s office was deluged with more than 110 complaints within hours of the case becoming public.
Mr Young’s mother Pamela has dismissed the sentence as an ‘absolute joke’ – Gill could even be free within two years.

But Mrs O’Hagan, speaking from her home in Sutton, South London, yesterday insisted her son was a ‘good kid’. 

The 41-year-old mother of three told the Mail: ‘It was just an accident. It’s not a big deal. This will all be forgotten tomorrow. He’s my son, what do you want me to say? He didn’t mean to kill him and that’s that.’

Mrs O’Hagan, who was not married to Gill’s father Richard McKenzie, added: ‘This story will be the lining of chips tomorrow. I just don’t understand what all the fuss is about.’

Gill, a convicted robber, punched 40-year-old Mr Young to the ground on a busy Bournemouth street on November 6 last year.
Shocking CCTV footage shows him calmly walking forward to deliver the deadly punch after Mr Young reprimanded his friend for cycling on the pavement.

But Judge stays silent over short sentence

The judge who sent Lewis Gill to prison for just four years did not respond to criticism of what has been called an ‘extremely lenient’ sentence.
Keith Cutler, 63, refused to discuss the case yesterday at Winchester Crown Court where he spent the day hearing a trial into an alleged conspiracy to commit blackmail.

The judge has however previously spoken about his approach to sentencing.

He has said in an interview: ‘Every offence has its different features, every mitigation has its own strengths and all those elements are brought into sentencing.’
He added: ‘Some cases get to you. When I come out of court, I say “That’s it. I’ve made my decision.  If I am wrong the Court of Appeal will deal with it”.’
The father of two, who is a lay canon at Salisbury Cathedral, has also defended his sometimes controversial approach to the legal process.

This was most notable in his handling of the inquest into the shooting of Mark Duggan, where he held a 20-second silence to commemorate the gangster’s death.
The judge admits that he enjoys having the power to show leniency but he reacted angrily to ministerial criticism of ‘soft’ sentencing back in 2006 when he was secretary of the Council of Circuit Judges.

In October 2004, he handed teenager Louis Moroncini an 18-month supervision order for striking Beverley Brennan round the head with a 4ft wooden pole during a robbery.

Judge Cutler told the defendant: ‘You know, and I know, that you richly deserve custody and you would have got three years. But you must know that if you fail me and go wrong on this order, you will be back before the courts.’

In September 2004, Abdel Atif Gholam, 29, an Afghan refugee who had no licence or insurance when he veered on to the wrong side of the road and killed a motorcyclist, was jailed by Judge Cutler for just two years.

The judge lives in a sprawling six-bedroom detached house in the heart of the English countryside.
Situated off a quiet lane, the £1million property offers picturesque views and has a well-tended garden packed with tall trees and ancient woodland.

Sure hope the cemetery poor Mr. Young is buried in, is as well tended as that garden mentioned above.  Were there a view that Young could see, I’m sure the view below would not make for anything “picturesque”. 
But it’s no big deal.

The so called justice system appears to have very little of that about it.

a pedestrian was killed by a single punch after he got into a row about cycling on the pavement.

Andrew Young, 40, became involved in an argument with cyclist Victor Ibitoye after he told him that cycling on the pavement was dangerous.

The cyclist rode off but moments later his friend, Lewis Gill, approached Mr Young, who suffered from Asperger’s Syndrome, and punched him in the face without provocation.

He was rushed to hospital where he died the following day from head injuries with his mother at his bedside.

Gill pleaded guilty to a charge of manslaughter and was jailed for four-and-a-half years.

After the hearing, Mr Young’s mother Pamela described the sentence as a ‘joke’.

The Chocolate Crook

A jury convicted former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin Wednesday on 20 of 21 federal corruption counts, including bribery, marking a stunning fall for the feisty official who gained a national profile following Hurricane Katrina.

The 57-year-old Democrat, who led his city through the aftermath of the 2005 storm, was found guilty of charges that he accepted bribes, free trips and other gratuities from contractors in exchange for helping them secure millions of dollars in city work while he was in office.

He will remain free on bond while he awaits sentencing. Each of the charges carries a sentence from three to 20 years, but how long he would serve was unclear and will depend on a pre-sentence investigation and various sentencing guidelines. No sentencing date was set.

Nagin, who left office in 2010 after eight years, was indicted in January 2013 on charges he accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes and truckloads of free granite for his family business in exchange for promoting the interests of local businessman Frank Fradella.

He also was charged with accepting thousands of dollars in in payoffs from another businessman, Rodney Williams, for his help in securing city contracts.

Nagin is best remembered for his impassioned pleas for help after levees broke during Hurricane Katrina, flooding much of New Orleans and plunging the city into chaos.

The charges against Nagin included one overarching conspiracy count along with six counts of bribery, nine counts of wire fraud, one count of money laundering conspiracy and four counts of filing false tax returns. He was acquitted of one of the bribery counts.

...the corruption spanned the time before and after Hurricane Katrina struck in August 2005.

The charges resulted from a City Hall corruption investigation that had resulted in several convictions or guilty pleas by former Nagin associates by the time trial started on Jan. 27.

Fradella and Williams, both awaiting sentencing for their roles in separate bribery schemes alleged in the case, each testified that they bribed Nagin.

Nagin’s former technology chief, Greg Meffert, who also is awaiting sentencing after a plea deal, told jurors he helped another businessman, Mark St. Pierre, bribe Nagin with lavish vacation trips. St. Pierre did not testify. He was convicted in the case in 2011.

Sorry Ray-Ray ... nobody left to rescue you this time. Not even Obama; if he threw you under one of your own buses, you’d drown.

Drawn To Crime

A police sketch dubbed the ‘worst ever’ has amazingly led to an arrest.

Glenn Rundles from Paris, Texas was arrested on Tuesday after a patrolman from the local sheriff’s department claimed he recognised the man from the cartoon-like depiction.

Lamar County Sheriff’s Department had released the picture last week in the hope of tracking down the mugging suspect and it received lots of publicity… but for all the wrong reasons.

The image went viral, sparking hilarity and outrage among social media users and online news sites with many claiming it was the worst police sketch ever.

Cops said the image of the criminal had been sketched by an experienced police artist with the use of descriptions from two victims and claimed it was a ‘composite sketch’ rather than a likeness.

But it is the police who have had the last laugh as Mr Rundles was charged with aggravated robbery and a host of other crimes including indecent exposure, burglary of a habitation, criminal mischief and evading arrest.

Texan women mugged by perplexed-looking cartoon

This drawing of a suspect wanted in connection with the serious robbery of two women in Texas might just be the worst police sketch of all time.

The Lamar County Sheriff’s Department released the drawing – which they stress is a composite sketch, not a likeness – to help track down the man who allegedly mugged two women at knife point on Thursday.

But it seems unlikely that the sketch will aid the police in their inquiries given that it appears to depict a confused-looking cartoon man.

The suspect the police sketcher was trying to draw fits the victims’ description of a man ’6 foot tall or a little taller, approximately 25 to 30 years old with no or very thin facial hair, and a muscular build.’

The description adds: ‘His nose was straight with no flare in the nostrils. He has short black hair and a round face, with tattoos covering both arms and a tattoo on the left side of his neck.’

The authorities also said: ‘The victim was adamant about the tattoo on his neck having a lot of red ink in it.’

Right. So let’s all have a giggle at those silly cowboys in Texas. Those half-civilized Americans. Putting a cartoon character on the local Most Wanted List. Who’s next, Homer Simpson? Egad. Quite. Thank goodness our constabulary have proper descriptive artists. None of this cartoon nonsense!

Police have defended a ‘lettuce-head’ e-fit of a distraction burglar who stole £60 from an elderly woman in Stockbridge, Hampshire.

Despite the offender being described as having wavy blonde/grey hair, Hampshire police released an e-fit of the suspect with bright green hair – earning the character the ‘lettuce-head’ nickname.

Officers have stated that the oddly-coloured hair was a result of a ‘technical error’.

A Hampshire police spokeswoman told The Daily Telegraph: ‘We make every effort to ensure that the e-fits we circulate are as accurate and detailed as they possibly can be from the description provided by the witness.

‘We are, though, currently experiencing technical problems with the quality of the hair and are waiting for an upgrade to the system from the company who provides us with the software.

‘It is important to point out that the suspect in this case is described as having blond-grey hair.’

Funny thing though: so far the local plod’s search has focused around the local Burger Kings and McDonald’s parking lots.

Knox’ Knocks, che è lì?

More than two years after Amanda Knox returned to the U.S. apparently home free, an Italian court Thursday reinstated her murder conviction in the stabbing of her roommate and increased her sentence to 28½ years in prison, raising the specter of a long extradition fight.

Knox, 26, received word in her hometown of Seattle. The former American exchange student said she was “frightened and saddened by the unjust verdict” and blamed “overzealous and intransigent prosecution,” “narrow-minded investigation” and coercive interrogation techniques.

“This has gotten out of hand,” Knox said in a statement. “Having been found innocent before, I expected better from the Italian justice system.”

After nearly 12 hours of deliberations, the court reinstated the guilty verdicts first handed down against Knox and Sollecito in 2009 for the death of Meredith Kercher. Those verdicts had been overturned in 2011 and the pair freed from prison, but Italy’s supreme court vacated that decision and sent the case back for a third trial in Florence.

Knox’s attorney, Carlo Dalla Vedova, said he had called Knox by telephone and informed her that the Florence court had not only confirmed the guilty verdict, but had increased the sentence from the original 26 years.

“She was petrified. Silent,” he said.

Sollecito was in court Thursday morning, but he didn’t return for the verdict.

Sollecito’s lawyers said they were stunned by the conviction and Sollecito’s 25-year sentence and would appeal.

”There isn’t a shred of proof,” attorney Luca Maori said.

What we have here is quite a mix.  Muslim family arranging a marriage, the women for whom it is being done wants no part of it.
Anyway .... she loves someone else.  But there’s a catch, if you want to call it that.

The someone else she fancies is .... another woman.  And not a muslim either.  Woo-hoo.
So her sisters go after the girl friend and beat the hell outta her, and get themselves arrested.

It really is not funny because they actually tried to kidnap the girl friend.  I think they had they been able to, they might have killed her. And she is a very frightened woman now. Don’t blame her for that as you’ll see when you read.

These dramatic images show three Muslim siblings attempting to kidnap and rob their sister’s lesbian lover after they found out about the relationship.

Sarah Harrison, 35, was targeted as she left work in Blackburn, Lancashire. As she was attacked, one of the siblings shouted: ‘you’ve messed with the wrong Muslims.’

The women’s sister Nazma Ditta, 27, one of six sisters and three brothers, had been due to enter into an arranged marriage.

But Nazma had begun a secret relationship with Miss Harrison when both women worked at a clothes shop in the town.

Miss Harrison was confronted by sisters Atfah Ditta, 32, and Ghazala Ditta, 31, who got out of a parked silver Toyota Corolla car on June 20 last year.

They were joined by another sister Nighat Morris, 38, and brother Tahmoor Ditta, 26, who produced a metal tool which he brandished at a work colleague of Miss Harrison.

The three women then assaulted Miss Harrison who was dragged around by her hair and kicked as they tried to force her into the car.

The victim was repeatedly punched in the face and to her arms in an effort to remove her handbag and force her into the vehicle.

Her bag was taken from her but she managed to prevent herself being dragged into the car by holding on to its sides.

She was left standing at the side of the road as the group got back into their vehicle and drove away.

In the days leading up to the attack, members of the Ditta family had confronted the victim at her workplace and asked her about the whereabouts of their sister.

They also asked her work colleagues about where she parked her car and waited at various locations for her to leave work.

Miss Harrison later told police: ‘I can’t work comfortably now and I think about people throwing acid in my face. Anyone Asian I don’t know could be associated with the people who attacked me. I have trouble sleeping.

‘I feel uncomfortable sleeping on my back because of where I was kicked. My temple still hurts from where I was punched. I have a permanent reminder of the attack by the scar under my eye.

‘I have to sell my house and move somewhere where Nazma’s family won’t find us. I have had to find a different job which is not easy because I loved my work.’

Today the siblings appeared at Preston Crown Court.

Ghazala Ditta, Atfah Ditta and Nighat Morris pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to conspiracy to commit actual bodily harm, attempted kidnap and robbery. They were all jailed for five years and four months.

Tahmoor Ditta pleaded guilty to the above charges and also admitted assault and possession of an offensive weapon and was sentenced to six years.

Two other sisters, Tosif Ditta, 35, and Nayyar Mehmood, 37 had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit actual bodily harm and were imprisoned for three-and-a-half years.

The children’s mother, Rani Ditta, 55, had been charged with conspiracy to kidnap but in November the prosecution offered no evidence against her.

The court heard Nazma was the only girl in her family who was unmarried and several potential suitors had been found for her.

All claimed they acted out of concern for their sister. Defence lawyer Adam Watkins, defending Tosif, said: ‘She did what she did out of a misjudged sense of what was right for her sister. It was a misguided sense of love.

Graham Blower for Nayyar said: ‘This would have happened to Miss Harrison if she was Mr, Mrs, black, white, pink or orange.’

But Judge Graham Knowles QC said: ‘This is a case about power and contol. It is about striking terror and attempting to control not just the body but the will. This was a group ambush and you struck with the terror that all of you intended.’

a crime and a happy end for the public at large

It’s a feel good story for a change.  Nice too, to know that a career in crime has ended early for one scum sucking toad.

Lets hope the would be victims here don’t suddenly find themselves under arrest.  But the “investigation” goes on.

A petty career criminal plunged into a canal and drowned as he tried to rob two men on a city centre towpath, it is believed.

Steven Cane, 25, was rushed to hospital after falling into the Rochdale Canal, in Manchester, but died two days later.

One of the two men he targeted also fell into the water but clambered out and has made a full recovery.

I think it should be unlawful to try and save the life of any criminal, especially when he is injured while committing an offense. Let the bastard just die and free up society by one less turd.

The two men who shoved the mugger into the water will be questioned by police about the incident - but officers are not planning to treat them as suspects as it is believed they were victims of crime.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out but it is thought Cane - who is said to have a ‘catalogue’ of previous convictions - died from drowning.

A 17-year-old boy - suspected of being the robber’s accomplice - was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and attempted murder following the incident.

He was later charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and occasioning actual bodily harm and a third charge of obstructing police and is now awaiting trial. A third suspect was released without charge.

The incident happened on Sunday evening as two men, aged 28 and 34, were walking along the canal path that runs towards a tunnel known as the Undercroft.

Do you need to see more than this to grasp how dumb the decision made by the plod?

Which now of course leaves him wide open to litigation as the crud with broken limbs is sure to win.  And ... since the arrest was made with a charge of excessive force, how else would a court rule?  So the cards are stacked.  He should have killed both of them, and being in possession of the kind of equipment his business uses, he should have been able to bury them quite deeply on his property.  Who’d look for them?  I really just do not understand the need for the police or the courts in something like this.  No. An end to the unnecessary breathing of the miscreants would be the right and proper solution.

Crime does not pay.

Wanna Bet?  Sure it does.  Especially when a guy like Mr. Woodhouse says later that, he was “gutted and sickened” by what he had done to the perps.  Why? He should feel very good about it.

A businessman who attacked two thieves caught red-handed in a night-time raid was arrested after defending his property, a court has heard.

Andrew Woodhouse, 44, was today on trial facing assault charges on the two raiders he found stealing diesel from his business.

A jury heard how Woodhouse grabbed a fence post one was carrying as a weapon - and used it to fight back against them.

The father-of-five - who says he has repeatedly been a victim of crime at his gardening company - kept hold of the two burglars until police arrived.

But the court was told it was Woodhouse who was then arrested and accused of using excessive force.

The thieves ended up with £75 fines - but businessman Woodhouse could face a prison sentence if he is found guilty of attacking them.

Defence lawyer Andrew Taylor said: ‘These thieves thought they would have nice easy pickings that night.

‘Many people would have given up and just claimed on their insurance but Mr Woodhouse is made of sterner stuff.

‘He showed stoicism, courage and fitness to chase them. One of the men was armed and went to attack him. He acted in lawful self-defence.

‘He agrees the red mist came down which you can understand when his business has almost been wiped out by crime.

‘If it hadn’t been for him these men would not have been caught. Where are we in society when a person cannot act in self-defence to protect his property. That is what Mr Woodhouse was doing.’

Kevin Green, 53, and Timothy Cross, 32, tried to escape into a neighbouring field with jerry cans full of stolen fuel, the court heard.

But Woodhouse chased Green - and caught him near their getaway car. The court heard he then attacked Green leaving him with two broken legs and a broken arm.

The court heard he then chased Cross before rugby-tackling him. He lay on top of the raider until police arrived.

Prosecutor James Wilson said: ‘When he saw his hard-earned money carted off by a couple of ne’er-do-wells, he gave chase in anger intending to injure them.’

Mr Wilson described it an ‘unreasonable and unlawful assault.’

He said: ‘It was not reasonable self-defence. Mr Woodhouse lost his temper and went over the top.

Cleared in 20 minutes: Businessman who defended his property from fuel burglars

A landscape gardener who attacked two thieves he caught trying to steal from his business was cleared of grievous bodily harm in just 20 minutes today.

Andrew Woodhouse, 44, was accused of using excessive force when he broke the arms and legs of one and rugby tackled the other, Cardiff Crown Court heard.

But today the jury decided he had every right to defend his property from criminals Kevin Green and Timothy Cross, who ended up with £75 fines.

The father-of-five had faced a possible life jail sentence - but was found not guilty of two grievous bodily harm charges for the citizen’s arrest of two raiders.

Yesterday I made mention of a worthless pile of crap who was executed in Ohio.

Originally, the paper said it took him 15 minutes to die.
Another report in another paper today says 25 minutes.  Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn.
What I do care about is this.

Family speaks out on Ohio’s 25-minute ‘experimental’ execution for convicted murderer and rapist

As more ghastly details emerge of the slow death of Dennis McGuire, anger is growing at the inhumanity of the US’s approach to capital punishment – and relatives of the dead man are seeking legal redress.

A cocktail of lethal drugs began to flow into Dennis McGuire’s bloodstream shortly before 10.30am on Thursday morning. The 53-year-old convicted murderer from Ohio was to be the first prisoner executed with a new method of lethal injection, using an untested mix of the sedative midazolam and the painkiller hydromorphone.

Normally, the victims of lethal injection show movement in the early moments of their execution, and then lie still. McGuire, by contrast, remained motionless for approximately five minutes, before snorting suddenly and gulping for air.

McGuire had been sentenced to death for the brutal 1989 rape and murder of a young, pregnant newlywed, Joy Stewart. His final words were to Stewart’s family, who watched his execution, thanking them for the “kind words” they had offered in a letter to him. He then told his children “I’m going to heaven, I’ll see you there when you come.”

His daughter Amber watched alongside Stewart’s family as he gasped several times, before finally expiring at 10.53pm. Ms McGuire covered her ears to block out the sounds of her father’s last breaths. He had taken some 25 minutes to die.

“It was the most awful moment in my life to witness my dad’s execution,” Ms McGuire said in a statement later. “I can’t think of any other way to describe it than torture.”

At a news conference this morning, Ms McGuire and her brother announced that they would pursue a lawsuit over the manner of her father’s execution. Ohio state is now expected to face a legal challenge to its plans for the February execution of another convicted murderer.

OK, I found this update in a paper called iNews.  It’s a paper often so left (but not as bad as the Guardian) that Drew once said he was surprised it wasn’t printed on pink paper.  So the slant of course will be anti DP.

stupid idiot judge asks for silence ….. read this one sitting down

Was not going to boot today .... it’s a bit late now.  Thing is .... I could not avoid it after seeing the headlines and reading the accounts and hearing the news on radio.

Two yrs ago you will all be aware ... this country went thru days of riots and looting and buildings burning and muggings and robberies and outright violent assaults of many innocent bystanders. And there was death as well. City after city was torched, and the excuse used by the vermin out having fun was the police shooting of .... A, a white guy ....  B, one of those protected others of a darker hue.
Yeah. Right.

Why the F*** is it that cops are NEVER given the benefit of the doubt, even when confronted by criminals? Whatever.

I do not have a crystal ball but my bet is that there might be some trouble brewing by those who could care less about another dead black gang member, who want a new TV or iPad or whatever else their tiny hearts and minds desire, and some hard core idiot white folks who dream of being black and want to show how multi cultural and diverse they are, and the usual anarchists who always take advantage of this kind of thing.

Well as you realize here the deceased is in the news again, because a jury has brought in a verdict in favor of the policeman who shot the vermin dead.  He had seconds to make that decision and yet .....  one damn fool asked the question, and I am not making this up,
“Why didn’t the police officer wait to see if the guy would fire first before shooting him?”

The 29-year-old was linked to ten shootings and two murders.

One of his teachers at Broadwater Farm Primary School remembered how he was one of the ‘most disruptive children in the school’.
Boyan Yordanov, 47, said: ‘All kids, both the well behaved and even the naughty ones, were frightened of him.

They never knew when they would be attacked by Mark. Sadly at this young age, he had become the epitome of aggression, as if there was nothing positive in this life for him.

‘His attacks were sudden, unpredicted and vicious. He had no concept of pain or the result of causing pain and he showed no mercy to his victims.
‘He would be reading a book and then seconds later he would be jumping on the chest of one of his class mates.

‘Once, over-excited during the preparations for a school party, Mark punched one of my female colleagues in the jaw. It appeared that at home he was watching wrestling all the time and was trying to imitate the wrestlers.

‘Everything related to violence fascinated him. Once he appeared at the school with a large knife. Luckily one of my colleagues saw him just before he entered the school.’
His behaviour worsened when he reached secondary school and he was sent away to live in Manchester with an aunt.

During the inquest his mother claimed Duggan returned to Tottenham several years later as a ‘well balanced’ man.

What was carefully omitted was the fact the one of Duggan’s uncles was the late Desmond ‘Dessie’ Noonan, whose feared family are ‘major players’ in the Manchester underworld.

He was a senior member of North London’s notorious Tottenham ManDem gang, which traded in violence, intimidation and drugs.

In the eight years before his death, Duggan was repeatedly arrested over a raft of serious crimes, including murder, attempted murder and a range of firearms offences.

his mother Pamela, 55, maintains he was a ‘lovely young boy’ who tried to keep peace.

Last night she refused to accept the jury’s verdict, claiming he was a peacemaker, was not in a gang and was no danger to the public.

It is a picture put forward by Duggan’s family and supporters ever since England burned during days of widespread disorder in the summer of 2011.

Back then, few knew of his association with some of the most feared criminals in Europe.

Judge orders moment of silence for ‘notorious gangster’ whose shooting death by police marksman sparked wave of riots: Unprecedented move at start of Mark Duggan’s inquest

A judge took the highly unusual step of leading his court in a moment’s silence to commemorate Mark Duggan, the alleged gangster whose death sparked the 2011 riots which scarred Britain.
Judge Keith Cutler, sitting at Duggan’s inquest, asked everyone inside the courtroom to fall silent and to acknowledge the ‘regrettable loss of a young life’.

Later the inquest heard Duggan was a member of one of Britain’s most notorious gangs and was shot by a police marksman who believed the suspect was about to fire a revolver in a crowded street.

Judge Cutler, sitting as a coroner at the High Court, led the 20-second silence by lowering his head and clasping his hands together.

Addressing the jury, he said: ‘It is right that you should know that present in court today are a number of Mark Duggan’s family and friends and to acknowledge the grief of those family and friends and to respect that loss we will together just have some moments of silence as we sit here to recognise the seriousness of the hearing for which we are about to undertake.’

The request for a moment’s silence was understood to have been made by Duggan’s family and supporters.
