Gunman, student dead after shooting at Oregon high school

Troutdale Oregon, just east of Portland:

One student was killed at the hands of a shooter at a high school near Portland, Oregon, on Tuesday morning, police agencies said.  The suspected shooter is also dead, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said. It was not immediately clear how the shooter died.

There was only one shooter involved in the incident, police said. About an hour after the shooting, Oregon State Police said the area was secure and the situation was contained.

The shooting happened at about 8 a.m. (11 a.m. ET) at Reynolds High School in Troutdale, about 12 miles east of Portland, said Sue Strickland of the Troutdale Police Department. A semiautomatic weapon was involved in the shooting, she said.

Classes were in session at the time, Strickland said. It wasn’t clear how many people were injured, and details about what led to the shooting weren’t immediately available. A couple of SWAT teams responded, Strickland said.

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that the situation is stabilized at Reynolds High School in Troutdale.

Scott Anderson, the chief of the Troutdale Police Department, confirmed the deaths and called the events a “tragic day” for the community. Authorities did not say how the shooter died.

The sheriff’s office said at 8:07 a.m. local time Tuesday, police responded to the reports of shots fired at the school.

Students told The Associated Press they were informed over the intercom that there was a lockdown and to quietly go to their classrooms.

The wife of a vice principal at the school told KPTV that she received a text message from her husband that said there was an active shooter.

More than 100 police and sheriff’s units are reportedly on scene in addition to medical personnel and the FBI, according to KOIN 6.

Doug Daoust, the mayor of Troutdale, told Fox News that SWAT teams are evacuating classrooms one at a time. TV news broadcasts showed students being escorted away from the school with their hands on their heads, The Associated Press reports.

Animal Put Back In Cage

Brooklyn Ripper Caught

Stabbed 3, Killing 2, After Only 9 Days Out Of Jail

image

The twisted butcher accused of stabbing two children in an elevator, leaving one dead, was arrested Wednesday after police tracked him down by using DNA evidence and pinging his cell phone, sources said.

Daniel St. Hubert, 27 — a convicted felon who was released from prison nine days before the callous East New York attack — was busted blocks away from his family’s home in Jamaica, Queens, according to law-enforcement sources.

Police believe St. Hubert killed Prince Joshua “P.J.” Avitto, 6, and severely wounded Mikayla Capers, 7, with a kitchen knife at the Boulevard Houses on Schenck Avenue.

He was identified by the NYPD thanks to DNA taken from the 8- inch knife used in the attack on Avitto and Capers, reports NBC New York. The DNA was in the NYPD’s criminal database. According to authorities, he as nine prior arrests. He was last paroled on May 23 on assault charges after serving seven years in prison, according to the New York Post. NBC New York reports that among his other arrests, he has convictions for assaulting a cop and a corrections officer.
...
St. Hubert has a history of violent assault, with nine arrests on his criminal record, including two for assaulting police and correction officers, and he was paroled on May 23 in a domestic-assault case, police said. He was sentenced to time behind bars after convictions for attempted murder and assault, serving three years in city jails and two years in an upstate prison, state correction records show.
...
The two victims on June 1 were playing in front of their building when they went back inside to get ice-cream. It’s then that they met their attacker in the elevator at around 5:50 p.m. CBS New York reports that [after having been stabbed 16 times] Mikayla remains in critical condition in hospital with a breathing tube. Her family have told the media that she is in-and-out of consciousness.

Cops caught the suspected killer at 8 p.m., shortly after Mayor de Blasio attended a press conference to release his photo and begin a citywide manhunt.

St. Hubert was carrying a knife on him when he was found walking near 145 Street and 133 Avenue in Jamaica, sources said.

Police said they were investigating whether St. Hubert also may have fatally stabbed 18-year-old Tanaya Copeland on Friday four blocks from where Sunday’s attack happened. A similar knife was recovered at the scene of Copeland’s slaying.
...
Cops suspect that the same madman who slaughtered a boy in a Brooklyn elevator also killed an 18-year-old woman — and the NYPD warned parents to keep a close eye on their children.

The attack [on the two children] came two days after aspiring nurse Tanaya Grant-Copeland was stabbed 32 times on a nearby street.

Police officials cited similarities in the knives recovered and in the dress of the attacker, as well as the assaults’ proximity.

certain ppl with a right to steal especially when things get tempting

What the heck, as long as I started with news of the ludicrous but certainly not laughable, may I present you with this month or so old article I tripped over but forgot to post.
I have not been altogether organized lately, but better late than never with this kind of thing.  Interesting, haven’t heard anything from the more militant fems on this.

So, whatcha think folks?
Rehabilitate?  Maybe. After all, he’s just a boy of 14.
Surely too young to understand right from wrong.
Ya think?
Yeah, neither do I.
What a fucked up system in place and it seems mostly in pig ignorant western countries.
This little shit should have something he values cut off.  He is a total waste of space and air and resources.  His victims, if the quote here is true and complete, are morons.
Oh, whoops. I understand the moron word isn’t in vogue anymore as it is “offensive”.
Well, morons offend me by simply being.

There isn’t any help for vermin like this.

Teenager who sexually assaulted 12 women aged between 17-48 walks free from court with referral order designed to help HIM

· 14-year-old admitted 12 separate incidents in three-month period last year
· He sexually assaulted 12 different women aged between 17 and 48
· Police spokesman said although upset his victims want the boy to get help
· Magistrates in Manchester sentenced him to a 12-month referral order
· Special sentence for youths aged under 16 who admit their crimes
· Aims to rehabilitate the offender and address their criminal behaviour
By Lizzie Parry

A teenager who sexually assaulted 12 women, including a 48-year-old, has walked free from court with a referral order aimed at rehabilitating him and addressing his behaviour.

The 14-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted 12 separate incidents when he appeared at Manchester Youth Court.
The assaults took place between August 20 and October 9, last year around the University of Manchester.

On August 28, an 18-year-old girl was sexually assaulted near to the university’s Science Park.
Less than a month later, on September 21, three women, aged 21, 22 and 27, were sexually assaulted by the boy.

Then on October 5, he sexually assaulted five women, aged 17, 21, 32, 32, and 35.
The final assault took place on October 9, when the teenager attacked a 48-year-old.

Detective Chief Inspector Colin Larkin said: ‘Thanks to the information provided by the victims and the witnesses who came forward, we were able to make a swift arrest.
‘Following our press appeal, a further six women contacted us to say that they had also been assaulted.

‘Although the victims were upset by what happened, each one of them have expressed a genuine wish the boy receives help and does not offend again.’
The teenager was sentenced by magistrates to a 12-month referral order.

According to Department of Justice guidelines, referral orders are suitable for first-time offenders under the age of 16, who plead guilty to their crimes.

Ok, come on. Educate me here.  If a woman is only “upset” does that imply she may have liked the attention?  Maybe they were all bow wows?

Seems to me a lady who’d been set upon in this way would feel a bit more. Like, angry. Murderous? Unforgiving? All sorts of other words might apply. But upset sounds so mild. And the way he had been at it, he damn well knew exactly what he was about. But hey ... if they forgive him it occurs to me that I shouldn’t give a darn.

Next up, another amusing bit of law and disorder.

And just so ya know .... £800 is $1,338.00

Two young women who stole £800 of scooters and hair straighteners from John Lewis because security was ‘so lax’ walk free from court

· Pair told police they targeted John Lewis because it was so ‘tempting’
· Security guards recognised Hastings and Fleming after an earlier trip
· Hastings and Fleming fined £490 each and handed a 12-month conditional discharge
· Judge said it would be nice if things could be unlocked and not stolen
By Darren Boyle

Two young woman who admitted stealing almost £800 worth of goods from John Lewis blamed the store’s lax security for their crime.
Jodie Hastings, 25, and Natasha-Marie Fleming, 23, snatched scooters and hair straighteners worth nearly £800 from the store’s flagship store in Oxford Street, central London.

The young mothers were snared when they returned to steal from the same shop again just a few days later. But the two thieves were recognised by security guards and arrested, Westminster Magistrates’ Court heard.

the stealing was easy, so not really their fault

Twice As Bad As Bonnie And Clyde?

“Concerns" Raised Over Police Shooting Frenzy

Vendetta Squad, or just another episode of The Gang That Couldn’t Shoot Straight?

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – On December 10, more than two dozen police officers from across Miami Dade County converged on a blue Volvo that had crashed in the backyard of a townhouse on 65th Street just off 27th Avenue.

As the car was wedged helplessly between a light pole and a tree, nearly a minute passed before officers opened up – firing approximately 50 bullets at the car and the two unarmed men inside the vehicle.

The two men inside the car survived that initial volley of gunfire, according to witnesses, who said they could see the men moving inside the Volvo. Everything went quiet for nearly two minutes before the officers opened up a second time – unleashing an unrelenting torrent of bullets that lasted almost 25 seconds. By the time it was over, the two men inside the car were dead.

CBS4 News has learned a total of 23 officers fired a total of at least 377 rounds.

Bullets were sprayed everywhere. They hit the Volvo, other cars in the lot, fence posts and neighboring businesses. They blasted holes in a townhouse where a 12-year-old dove to the ground for cover and a four month old slept in his crib.

“It was like the Wild Wild West, man, crazy,” said Anthony Vandiver, who barely made it through the back door of his home before the gunfire erupted. “Shooting just wild; shooting all over the place. Bullets could have come through the window. Anything could have happened man. They weren’t thinking, they weren’t thinking at all.”

Earlier that night, the driver of the Volvo, Adrian Montesano, robbed a Walgreens employee at gunpoint, and then later shot Miami Dade Police Officer Saul Rodriguez in a nearby trailer park.

Montesano escaped in the officer’s patrol car eventually dumping it at his grandmother’s house in Hialeah – before fleeing in her blue Volvo

By 5 am every cop in South Florida was looking for that blue Volvo – intent on catching the man who had shot one of their own.

But what police didn’t realize before they started shooting at the Volvo is there was a second man in the car – Corsini Valdes – who had committed no crime.

And in fact, as CBS4 News was the first to report, both men inside the Volvo were unarmed at the time police caught up with them. All of the gunfire came from police.

Montesano and Valdes were killed by the dozens of rounds that tore through their bodies.

But Montesano and Valdes weren’t the only ones struck – two Miami Dade police officers were hit as well – caught in the crossfire. One officer was shot in the arm and the second was hit in the arm and grazed in the head. If the bullet had struck just a half an inch to the side the officer would have been killed.

The sound of the gunfire was deafening – literally deafening. Two Miami police officers sustained ruptured ear drums from the cacophony of shots.

CBS4 News has spent the last five months piecing together the events of that evening and the hunt for the blue Volvo. CBS4 News reviewed radio transmissions, analyzed video taken during the shooting, interviewed officials from the different agencies involved, and reviewed records related to the officers who fired their weapons.

The nature of the shooting suggests the officers lost sight of their own training and that the officers, caught up in the heat of the moment, failed to listen to their radios or coordinate their actions endangering not only their own lives but the lives of the public.

Without a doubt, Montesano was guilty. He’s on videotape, robbing the drugstore, holding a gun to the cashier’s head as he uses her as a human shield, and so forth. And he did shoot the one officer in the gut. And took his cop car and perhaps his gun. But he committed the crime by himself, and everyone knew that. So the other guy in the car could have been a hostage. We’ll never know. But the car was jammed between a wall and a light pole. It couldn’t go anywhere. And nearly two dozen cops converged on the scene, mere feet behind the vehicle.

imageimage

Valdes’ wife of 15 years, Elsa Innamorato, was surprised to find out her husband was the second suspect in Tuesday’s shooting. “It’s a shock to me. I just can’t believe it,” she said. “He would get into stupid problems, but basically he was a good dad here.”

Innamorato said Valdes helped her raise her 15-year-old son despite his battle with drug addiction. “I know he’s in a better world right now,” said Innamorato.

Records show Valdes had been charged with more than 40 crimes since 1988, including drug possession and trafficking, battery, burglary and trespassing.

It all began during an armed robbery, at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, at a Little Havana Walgreens off of 27th Avenue and Flagler. Police released a surveillance photograph of Montesano, as he took a woman hostage at gunpoint at the drug store. Security guard Denefield Ferguson said he witnessed the hold up at the Walgreens as he sat in his car in the drug store’s parking lot. “He shot at me through the back mirror here,” said Ferguson. “I fired three shots at him, and it turned left real quick.”

Compared to Valdes, Montesano’s history with police is scant. He has a single criminal mischief charge on his record. His grandmother expressed her shocked to hear about his “out of character behavior.” Speaking through a translator, she said, “He was so sweet.”

Ok, so Valdes was no angel. But he was not part of this crime. Nor did he even get a chance to surrender.  But while a whole lot of panicky misinformation was published, it took the local TV news reporters nearly half a year to dig out all the facts. And finally an official investigation is underway. It does rather look like the cops lost control of themselves and the situation.

The nature of the shooting suggests the officers lost sight of their own training and that the officers, caught up in the heat of the moment, failed to listen to their radios or coordinate their actions endangering not only their own lives but the lives of the public.
...
Senior commanders admit they are very lucky more officers weren’t seriously hurt or killed. Even more haunting is the danger the residents in the area faced. At the time of the shooting, parents were getting their kids ready for school and across the street men and women stood exposed on a Metrorail platform.

The shooting is being reviewed by both the State Attorney’s Office and the Miami Dade Police Department.

While those reviews will likely take years to complete, what is clear is the Walgreens robbery and the shooting of Officer Rodriguez sent officers across the county into a state of frenzy.
...
“They were saying put your hands up, and the guys were still moving after they shot maybe 50, 60 times,” [local resident] Vandiver recalled. “And the guy tried to put his hands up. And as soon as he put his hands up, it erupted again. And that was it for them. That guy tried his best to give up.”
...
As the smoke cleared and the sun begins to rise officers dragged Montesano and Valdes’s bodies from the car. Although he appears dead, they decide to transport Valdes to Jackson.

Slowly neighbors came out of their homes.

“The policemen that had on the black and white vests were out there laughing like it was so funny,” said one of the neighbors, “because they got a free shot off them people. Shooting all them bullets like that, that don’t make no sense.”

Pity they didn’t have a couple of those MRAPs available. They could have just driven over the car and squashed it flat without firing a shot.

In 1933, when the forces of the law got together and ambushed notorious robbers Bonnie and Clyde, they fired 167 shots, hitting the couple 50 times. That’s less than half as many shots as this incident, and the Bonnie and Clyde ambush went down in history as the definitive case of police overkill.

SHE SAYS HE’S REALLY A GOOD PERSON. HE JUST RAPES BUT HE’S REALLY GENTLE AND KIND

He’s a kind, gentle and loving man. Except when he’s busy following his natural inclination for rape.
Yeah, salt of the earth this scum.
And of course, life doesn’t mean life. He’ll be out one day hunting again.

I still love you’: Cambridge graduate wife mouths support for rapist husband who told victim he was attacking her because ‘he didn’t get sex at home’ as he gets life
· Adriana Ford-Thompson describes husband Mark as ‘kind and sensitive’
· Sentenced to life with 11-year minimum for sex assaults on four women
· But wife vows to stand by martial arts expert husband, a pastor’s son
· Pair believed to have met while both working in Tanzania in 2006
· He told victim: ‘I don’t get sex from my wife, so I go to get it elsewhere’
By Mark Duell

A Cambridge University graduate has defended her sex predator husband who told his victim he was raping her because ‘he didn’t get sex from his wife’.
Adriana Ford-Thompson, a York University research and teaching fellow, described her 37-year-old husband Mark Thompson - branded a danger to women by the judge - as ‘gentle, kind and sensitive’.

The environmentalist said the jury had ‘taken my husband away from me’ by finding him guilty, before he was given life in jail for the kidnap and rape of a student and sex attacks on three other women.

Adriana Ford-Thompson (left) described her husband Mark Thompson (right in a picture issued today by police)as ‘gentle, kind and sensitive’ but he was branded a danger to women by the judge.

Mrs Ford-Thompson, who worked in Tanzania with her future husband in 2006 on a research project into sustainable forestry, sat through every day of his trial and vowed to stand by him despite hearing harrowing details of the ordeal suffered by a 21-year-old student at the university she works at.
The woman was walking home from her job in a club at 3.50am when he snatched her from the street and bundled her into his white van before raping her three times as he drove around the city.

Teesside Crown Court heard that at one point, martial arts expert Thompson - who is the son of a church pastor - told the undergraduate: ‘I don’t get sex from my wife, so I go to get it elsewhere.’

But despite the shocking details of self-confessed drug taker and adulterer Thompson’s crimes, Mrs Ford-Thompson mouthed ‘I love you’ and ‘stay strong’ to him. after a jury convicted him of nine sex offences including kidnap, rape and attempted rape, she said: ‘He is a sensitive, kind, soft, gentle man.’

He told the terrified young woman: ‘You have two options - you can give me what I want and you tell nobody what has happened, or tonight is the night you die.’

judge awards triple killer damages for lack of apology from …. the prison authorities

Just what one should expect from our upside down world.

Is anyone actually surprised?

And btw … he has a face book page …

He was awarded damages also, for “Aggravated damages for a lack of apology” from the prison authorities.
He has been given $1,358 of the taxpayer’s money. It costs £50,000 a year to keep him in prison. In our money, that works out to $ 84.923.

Triple killer given a payout for lost milk cartons: New fiasco over inmate who claimed for hair clippers

· Kevan Thakrar, 26, is a serial compensation claimant, it has emerged
· The jailed triple murderer was given £75 for missing cartons of milk

· Thakrar had earlier been awarded an £800 payout by the same judge

· Nasal hair clippers were broken and cranberry juice lost in prison transfer
· He was awarded the money as officers did not apologise for the incident
· Thakran was jailed for using machine-gun to kill three men over drug debt
· The 26-year-old from Hertfordshire was sentenced to 35 years in 2008
· He is regarded as once of the country’s most dangerous criminals
By Jack Doyle and Larisa Brown

A triple murderer who received an £800 payout for lost or damaged belongings was a serial claimant, it has emerged.
Kevan Thakrar, 26, also pocketed £75 in a 2011 compensation case – for missing milk.

The judge who handed the machine-gun killer his latest payout for damaged property, including nasal hair clippers, also presided over the earlier case.
Thakrar complained that ten cartons of soya milk and ten of long-life milk, along with some toiletries had disappeared as he was transferred between prisons.
District Judge Neil Hickman awarded him £50 to replace them and a further £25 compensation because losing the items caused him ‘distress’ and made his time in jail ‘more unpleasant than it should have been’.

skull cracker on the loose after open prison day release, kids killing teachers, just another day

Interesting and very short item caught in the morning paper.

Never mind the question , what’s it take to get arrested?

One has to wonder just what it takes to get put away when given 13 life sentences.

A bank robber who has been dubbed “the skull cracker” is on the run.

He was allowed out of prison on short term release. Apparently 13 life terms means he was still safe enough for an open prison.

On release even though, he has a long history of violence. I guess skull cracker isn’t a joke then. Who wouldda thought?
AND ... he also has a history of prison escapes.

an unbelievable read this is.  Click on the photo to see our hero in action and some other interesting facts.

image

But hey. What the hell. Give the guy a break and let him loose on his word he’ll be nice and return.  Well he didn’t. He surprised everyone by breaking his promise. It’s getting so that these days, you can’t even trust the word of a criminal.

-30-

Meanwhile, in the world of budding criminals.
A week ago a boy of 15, (they’re always troubled you know) has killed his teacher. He stabbed her in front of the class.

One girl, from his art class, said: ‘He was very bright though, he was in the top sets for everything and was good at drawing too. I’ve heard he comes from a loving family”.
Sound familiar?
-30-

Not to be outdone .... a few days after that news broke, two girls age 14 carried knives to school for the purpose of stabbing one of their teachers, just for the exercise.  They were undone only because they were overheard.
-30-

And today comes word that two 10 year old boys in primary school attempted to poison their teacher. She was warned by other kids not to drink her coffee, which was found to be spiked.  The school in Warwickshire has declined to say what punishment was given to the little darlings.  Most likely none that would make any difference.

Chicago: The Endia Martin Murder Case

image

Endia Martin, murdered at 14

Good Lord, I don’t even know where to begin with this one. The crime itself is asinine and abhorrent, but the background stories show that an utterly feral culture lives amongst us.

This is a really sick tale. And what makes it sicker is that it’s probably as common as muck. I have to wonder if the streets of Chicago have become a gladiatorial arena for the entertainment of the natives. Natives who in this case, gave a child the thumbs down and stood around to watch her die.

Endia Martin was a 14 Chicago girl. I gather that she got into some kind of argument on Facebook with her best girlfriend, over - you guessed it - some boy. That other 14 year old girl (an honor student, naturally) decided she was gonna throw down on that bitch, so she positioned herself to catch Endia when she got off her school bus. But instead of duking it out, the 2nd girl’s plan was murder. Malice aforethought: she called up her 24 year old uncle and said she needed a gun. So he brought her one on the bus, meeting her at the scene before the fight began. Somehow a crowd gathered. Endia got off the bus, a fight ensued, and at some point (either when she was face down on the ground, or running away) Endia’s friend took the gun and shot her in the head. Except that the gun misfired. Hey, no worries, someone in a crowd - a 17 year old man I think - quickly repaired the revolver and handed it back to her. And while the crowd watched, she shot Endia in the head and killed her. But hey, it was only from a couple feet away, so she missed, and managed to wing somebody else too. Or perhaps it was a case of over penetration, and we’re talking two victims with one bullet. But I digress. Once the murder was done, that 17 year old man took the gun and tried to dispose of it. A completely illegal firearm of course. And the most disgusting part of the tale, is that this deliberate assassination occurred in front of at least 20 witnesses, and nobody did a thing to stop it. Not even when the gun misfired and needed a time-out to be repaired. No; instead of stopping it, they recorded the entire event on their cellphone cameras.

OF COURSE the press wants to play Blame It On The Gun, and the cops cry for more gun control (Chicago already being gun free, according to the law) ,but that’s garbage and you know it. This crime comes in two parts: the perpetrator and her enablers, and the barbaric environment that accepts, supports, and even demands this kind of insane behavior.

I’m not even sure where to begin ...

Martin’s family says she and the alleged shooter were close friends who were fighting over a boy in a dispute that originally started on Facebook. They attended the same school.

“She used to do all her work. She seemed like a nice person,” classmate Michael Baker said [Drew: Baker is talking about the alleged shooter, not the victim]. “I never thought she would do something like that.”

“She wasn’t a bad kid, I mean, everybody gets suspended. She wasn’t bad,” classmate Kimberly Taylor said. “When I heard that, I was sad for her. It hurts my heart to see her life is away. She throw her life away.”

Oh gosh, it’s so sad, this poor little thing WHO TOOK A GUN AND BLEW ANOTHER CHILD’S HEAD OFF, she has my sympathy, she’ll get juvie for 4 years now. Concern or sympathy for the murdered girl: ZERO.

The alleged shooter’s mother, who the Chicago Sun-Times is not identifying because her daughter has been charged as a juvenile, told the Sun-Times that her daughter “feels bad too.” The girl disputed the official account of Martin’s death and told her mother after the shooting: “It did not happen like that.”

“She was very hurt,” the mother said of her daughter. “Her and the little girl used to be friends.”

But the mother claimed Endia, also 14, and her friends “jumped on” her daughter last year, and the feud picked up again recently on Facebook. She even said her daughter’s life was threatened, and that someone told her daughter they would “lay her where her daddy’s at.”

The woman said her daughter’s father died when she was 9 months old. “She’s hurt about the whole situation,” the woman said.

Finally, the woman said she didn’t know about her daughter’s juvenile court hearing Tuesday afternoon, where the teenage girl faced charges that included first-degree murder and attempted murder without any family in the courtroom. The judge said at the hearing the girl’s mother “obviously” knew about it.

“We’ve never been through anything like this before,” she said.

Meanwhile, the girl’s uncle was ordered held on $3 million bail Wednesday. Cook County prosecutors said the paralyzed, wheelchair-bound man took the bus to hand her the fully loaded weapon knowing there would be a fight.

Before the 14-year-old suspect went to confront two girls about an ongoing dispute she had with them about a boy, she asked Donnell Flora for a gun, Assistant State’s Attorney Jamie Santini said.

Flora, 25, agreed with his niece’s request and got on a bus with the .38-caliber revolver Monday afternoon, Santini said.

Once at the 900 block of Garfield Boulevard, Flora gave the girl the gun before the shooting, Santini said.

Right ... the old Turn It Around story: my baby is the victim here, that horrible monster was out to get her, she was in fear for her life.
Hey, who wants to bet against my guess that uncle Don became wheelchair bound because of being shot himself? Any takers? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

A 14-year-old Chicago girl accused of killing another girl in a dispute over a boy tried unsuccessfully to fire a gun before someone fixed it for her and handed it back to her so she could open fire, prosecutors said Tuesday.

That detail emerged during a hearing in juvenile court on the latest incident of violence grabbing headlines in Chicago. The alleged shooter appeared at the hearing on a first-degree murder charge in Monday’s slaying of 14-year-old Endia Martin.

Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy told reporters earlier in the day that the girls were fighting over a boy. According to prosecutors, the suspect went to a residence in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the city’s South Side around 4:30 Monday afternoon to continue a fight that began on Facebook.

So at the very least, we have Miss Shooter, her adult uncle Donnell, and some street gunsmith at the scene, on her side, and entirely supportive of her desire to commit premeditated murder. So far. The arena is filling up quickly; hurry hurry the main event is about to begin!

And so the deed was done. But don’t worry if you missed being there, at least one person recorded the whole thing. Didn’t do a damn thing to stop it. Didn’t call 911. Didn’t get an adult to intervene - WTH, there were several adults already there! - just stood around and watched. And recorded. And perhaps the Chicago Police are grateful for that, now that the child is dead and they begin to arrest everyone in sight on the video. Because everyone at the scene told them lies. “Don’t be a snitch” is another aspect of this feral mob. Cry out for justice, cry out for help, cry out for your “gibbs”, but when help and justice arrive, lie your ass off, hide the evidence, and stonewall all the live long day.

And then the cascade of arrests began ... sort of ...

A second person is now charged in the shooting death of a 14-year-old Chicago girl and Tuesday night, just blocks away from a vigil to remember Endia Martin four more people were shot.

A 17-year-old was charged with illegally having a gun, using it and then trying to get rid of it after the murder of Endia Martin.

The murder of Endia Martin, 14, was recorded via cell phone video, prosecutors said on the same day a third suspect was charged in her shooting death.

“This entire incident was captured on a cell phone video, taken by one of the witnesses to the incident,” Assistant State’s Attorney James Santini said. Martin was shot to death Monday afternoon on her way home from school. Three people have been charged, including a 14-year-old girl, a 17-year-old boy and a 25-year-old man. A vigil is set to be held Wednesday evening near the scene of the crime.

The 25-year-old man, Donnell Flora, appeared at the Cook County Courthouse Wednesday on a first-degree murder charge and a further charge of aggravated battery with a firearm. Prosecutors said he supplied the murder weapon to his 14-year-old niece after taking the bus to the scene, and that he had foreknowledge of the crime.

“Upon arriving at the location,” said Santini, “the defendant provided the loaded gun to the 14-year-old co-offender, knowing she was going to become involved in a fight.”

And then the lies began. Gun? What gun? Oh, that gun? Hey, that gun was stolen years ago when somebody broke into my car.  And the police and the press bleated out their usual sound bytes, because now it was time to Blame The Gun and Blame The Law ...

Chicago police superintendent: Killing of girl, 14, shows need for stricter gun laws
The killing of a 14-year-old girl, allegedly by another teen in a fight over a boy, shows that Illinois needs stricter gun laws, Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy said Tuesday. McCarthy told reporters that Endia Martin was shot with a .38-caliber handgun stolen from a car. He urged a change in the law to require gun owners to store weapons securely, saying that a firearm was brought to what would otherwise have been a “fistfight.”

“There was a legal gun that became an illegal gun,” he said, saying state law should be changed to require guns to be kept more securely. “In this case, the simple fact that the law states that you can store a firearm in a vehicle is absolutely insane,” McCarthy said. “Those guns need to be in lock boxes, in safes, in people’s residences or on their person.”

But then it turned out that this wasn’t entirely true. Oh sure, the gun had been reported stolen, but it wasn’t. It had been sold, under the table, at least once. Well, at least the press could dogpile on that story.

Endia Martin murder weapon illegally sold, falsely reported stolen, police say
Two more people have been charged in connection with the shooting death of Endia Martin. Police announced felony charges against Robert James, 34, for unlawful delivery of a weapon and filing a false police report. Police have also charged Vandetta Redwood, 32, who is an aunt of the alleged 14-year-old shooter, with mob action and obstruction of justice.

Police said James is the legal owner of the weapon used to kill Endia Martin, and that he sold it to another individual in November of 2013. It is not clear who took possession of the weapon, but on April 15, 2014, James reported the gun had been stolen from his mother’s car.
...
“So on day one we believed that gun was stolen, because it was reported stolen,” Chicago Police Superintendent Gary McCarthy said Thursday. “But what do we find out? We find out that the legal gun owner illegally transferred that gun to another person. That’s how that gun ended up on the street.”

Police said the investigation also shows Vandetta Redwood was at the scene in the 900 block of West Garfield at the time of the fight between the 14-year-old victim and the 14-year-old girl charged in the shooting. Prosecutors say that cell phone video in their possession shows the actual shooting, and includes Redwood standing next to the 14-year-old shooter, along with a crowd of about 20, some of whom carried bottles and pipes.

Redwood faces felony charges for mob action and obstruction of justice, in part because she denied being at the scene even though the video places her there. Her attorney, Mark Almanza, called her charges “guilt by proximity.”

“There were numerous other individuals there,” said Almanza, “and essentially they’re saying my client should be charged for standing near where a crime happened.”

So auntie is right there on the video, but she’s still lying to the po-po with a straight face. And the 20 - TWENTY OTHER PEOPLE - standing around? Carrying bottles and pipes? What does that mean? Does that mean that what actually went down was a neighborhood riot, with dozens of fighters armed with bottles and pipes? Or that dozens were there ready to fight in case a riot broke out? That they were there IN SUPPORT OF A PREMEDITATED MURDER? Or was it party time in the hood, everyone kicking back, enjoying some CPT, chillaxin’ with a 40 and a few rocks and some bud to smoke? And the fight was just entertainment?

And yeah, Auntie, you get arrested. Because it’s your niece who pulled the trigger. Several times. And you’re the adult; a family member who should have stopped this from happening. Instead, it turns out you’re part of the enablers, and part of the aftermath smokescreen. So ... busted.

A total of five people have been charged in connection with the shooting. A 17-year-old boy and the 14-year-old suspect’s 25-year-old uncle, Donnell Flora, were also charged this week. Flora allegedly gave the gun to his niece, according to police.

[a day later] A sixth man has been charged in connection to the murder of 14-year-old Endia Martin.

Floyd Evans is accused of illegally obtaining the gun used in the Monday afternoon shooting in Chicago’s Back of the Yards neighborhood.

It began with a legal purchase, according to a lawyer for Robert James, the Hyde Park man whose .38 special revolver was at the center of events leading to Endia’s tragic death.
...
James’ mother apparently did not want the gun in her home, so in November 2013 James allegedly sold the firearm to a former Atlanta man on the South Side. The exchange was done illegally, according to police and Cook County prosecutors, because James didn’t determine whether the buyer had a valid firearm owner’s identification card as required by law.

The man police identify as the buyer, 43-year-old Floyd Evans, was charged Thursday in Chicago with possessing a firearm without a valid FOID card, Chicago police said Thursday night. He is also wanted on a warrant in a separate case.

Prosecutors said that after James learned the man no longer had the gun, he falsely reported that it had been stolen from his mother’s car.
...
Less clear is how and when the gun made its next move from Evans to Donnell Flora, 25, the uncle of the girl charged with Endia’s slaying. But police and prosecutors charged that Flora, who was paralyzed after he was shot in 2010, knew his niece was going to confront Endia when he took the bus to the Back of the Yards neighborhood to deliver the loaded gun.

Ha, toldja so. Pfft; that was, like, a guarantee.

So what really did happen? Mabye we should just go and look at the video ...

The 14-year-old suspect and Endia, friends since elementary school, had been feuding over a boy, authorities said. According to her lawyer, the suspect had never been arrested before. She was on the honor roll at Hope College Prep High School, was a student leader and played on the freshman-sophomore basketball team. Endia’s parents had moved her to Tilden Career Community Academy to keep her closer to home.

The dispute between the girls worsened after they taunted each other on Facebook, where the suspect’s mother said the two often communicated. They agreed to meet after school Monday. Prosecutors said the confrontation drew close to 20 people — at least some of them armed with a lock on a chain, a metal pipe and a bottle — to the 900 block of West Garfield Boulevard.

Among the crowd was Vandetta Redwood, 32, the aunt of the alleged shooter.

Ah ha. Now we see a bit of light, finally. The fight was planned. From both sides. And the word was out, so a bunch of wannabes piled on, hoping to “help” which really means hoping to escalate the situation. The crowd filling the seats in the arena.

Police gave this account of what happened: The 14-year-old pulled the handgun from her waistband. She pointed it at one woman, who pushed it away. A 16-year-old then swung the lock on a chain at the shooter but missed her. The younger girl then tried to fire the gun, but it malfunctioned. She handed it to another person, who fixed it and handed it back to the 14-year-old. She fired again, hitting the 16-year-old in the arm and Endia in the back as she fled. Prosecutors said the confrontation was caught on a cellphone video.

So the 16 year old, up until now who appeared to be a mere bystander suffering collateral damage, in fact used her weapon to either try to stop the shooting (which is what her lawyer will say, naturally) or stepped in to fight on Endia’s side. And got shot for it.

And then I suppose that Miss Shooter, amped up on the power rush of shooting one girl in sort-of self defense, pulled the trigger again on her best friend who was trying to get away from their altercation. Or was this also an accident, because, shit and damnation, the piss poor writing does not tell us specifically if the same shot that winged the chain swinger just happened to brain her pal by chance. It’s implied, but “she fired again” can mean she fired several times, not just once. But maybe it was an accident after all.

And we should really be looking at Chain Control for Chicago. Because without that chain, maybe none of this would have ever happened.

Yeah right. Feral culture. Period.

And in the week or less since this has happened, another 4 are dead, another 24 are gunned down, in Chicago.

Animals.

state deletes one of two killer vermin as obama opines on Oklahoma death penalty

My screen is sitting on a small box which itself is on a phone book. That’s cos I have to stand.  Hip problem I think but hurts like mad in other places. Ouch.
Saw this item from the USA which as you will imagine is well covered by DP haters on this side of the Atlantic.  Like it’s their business you know.

I know all of you in the US by now are aware and I suppose the left are in tears and wringing hands etc.

White House condemns botched Oklahoma execution saying it was not done in a humane way as the death row inmate died of heart attack after FORTY MINUTES writhing in agony.

And that’s just one.
Oh dear,oh dear.
The humanity.

Yeah well, I think some are ignoring the “agony” his victim suffered. F*** him.
I care more about the loss of a great actor, Bob Hoskins, at the age of 71. His was a worthwhile life and gave pleasure not pain to many.

However ... lets remember what Lockett took part in, and what his victim suffered.

Pay attention reader. Below from the article, comes almost at the very end of a very long piece in one morning paper. I haven’t read the other one yet but my bet would be it’s much the same. Oh, those barbaric Yanks. To which I’d reply, damn right. And happy to be both.

A four-time felon, Lockett was convicted of shooting 19-year-old Stephanie Neiman with a sawed-off shotgun and watching as two accomplices buried her alive in rural Kay County in 1999 after Neiman and a friend arrived at a home the men were robbing.

Warner had been scheduled to be put to death two hours later in the same room and on the same gurney.

The 46-year-old was convicted of raping and killing his roommate’s 11-month-old daughter in 1997.

He has maintained his innocence.

Lockett and Warner had sued the state for refusing to disclose details about the execution drugs, including where Oklahoma obtained them.

So here’s the rest of that headline and a link should you want to read the whole thing, and see photos of the broad nosed, thick lipped brown vermin who are involved in this story.
Now mind you ... I could be mistaken but.  Perhaps if the victim had been a black girl, her murder would have been printed way higher in the article?
Like the first line had her killers been white.

Clayton Lockett execution halted 20 minutes after first drug administered
This cocktail of injections had not been tried in Oklahoma before
Lockett sat up 13 minutes in and said ‘something’s wrong’
President Obama’s spokesman said that the White House does not believe the execution was done in a humane way
Oklahoma governor is calling for an independent review of the execution
Lockett’s victim’s family put out a statement- presumably written before the execution- saying they are ‘thankful this day has arrived’
Inmate finally suffered a massive heart attack and died at 7.06pm

It seems to me I’ve heard that song before
It’s from an old familiar score
I know it well, that melody

I know each word because I’ve heard that song before
The lyrics said “Forever more”
Forever more’s a memory
Please have them play it again
And I’ll remember just when
I heard that lovely song before

Wonder What They Aren’t Telling Us Here?

UK: Hammer Attack Mauls 3

Gun control. Knife control. Now what, hammer control?
This is one of those news stories from the UK where the criminals seem to have more rights to privacy than the victims, so maybe you’ve got to read between the lines carefully.

[ Monday, The Cumberland Hotel, Mayfair district of London, right outside of Hyde Park. One of the very toniest corners of town ] A woman is critically ill and two others suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries after an intruder attacked them with a hammer at a London hotel.

The three women, all in their 30s and from the United Arab Emirates, suffered head and facial injuries during the attack at the Cumberland hotel in Mayfair early on Sunday, the Metropolitan police said. They are treating it as attempted murder.

Officers were called at 1.50am. They believe a man entered a guest bedroom on the seventh floor of the building where the three women and three children were sleeping in adjoining rooms.

It is understood that the three women, who are all from the United Arab Emirates, had deliberately left their door unlocked because they were staying in the hotel as part of a large family group.  They were sleeping with three children, who were unharmed, in two adjoining rooms.

The wealthy family, who had come to London for shopping and sightseeing, arrived in the UK between April 3 and 5 and the women had visited large West End stores on Saturday. No keys were stolen from the hotel and police said there had been no breach of security at the venue. Detectives are scouring CCTV to establish the movements of both the women and their attacker earlier in the day.  The Cumberland Hotel is near Europe’s busiest shopping street, Oxford Street, and has 1,000 rooms including a Jimi Hendrix suite.

[ Wednesday ] Police investigating a hammer attack on three female tourists in an upmarket London hotel arrested four people last night.

The women - all from the United Arab Emirates - were attacked at the four-star Cumberland Hotel yards from Oxford Street on Sunday night.

The assault in the 1,000-bedroom hotel has left Khalood Al Muhairi, 36, fighting for her life. She is said to be in an induced coma.

Her sisters Fatimah Al Muhairi, 31, and 34-year-old Ohoud Al Muhairi are recovering at a London hospital.

Police investigating the attack arrested three men aged 56, 34 and 32 in Islington, north London, on suspicion of attempted murder and a 31-year-old woman on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

[ Thursday ] A fifth person was arrested on Thursday by detectives investigating the hammer attack on three Emirati sisters in their London hotel room.

Jaffar Nasser Al Najjar, the 70-year-old father of the three women, spoke to The National earlier this week saying he had been left devastated. “My heart is broken to a million pieces and I can’t do anything except to pray that they return safely,” he said.

The British ambassador to the UAE Dominic Jermey said: “After such an appalling incident, our hearts go out to the victims and their families. This is a terrible time for them and I know that all of us from the British community here in the UAE are deeply saddened at the injuries they have suffered.

You Don’t Say

UPDATE: 5 arrested for attempted murder but only the teen gets charged with “hate crime”

image

Saffold, Davis, Wimbush : 3 of the 5 arrested

A Detroit teenager was charged with assault and a hate crime today over the brutal mob beating of a driver who stopped to help a boy he had accidentally hit with his pickup truck.

The 16-year-old boy, who has not been named, is the only one of five people charged in the April 2 attack on Steve Utash to face an ethnic intimidation count.

Mr Utash, a 54-year-old grandfather is white, and the teenager and four adults charged in his beating are black.

‘In the case of the 16-year-old charged as a juvenile we can prove beyond a reasonable doubt the crimes of assault with intent to do great bodily harm and ethnic intimidation,’ Kym Worthy, Wayne County’s prosecutor, said.

‘In the case of the four adult defendants that have been charged, the facts and the evidence does not support a charge of ethnic intimidation.’

Like hell. But miracle of miracles, a black person has been charged with a hate crime.

Worthy said she ‘would not be surprised’ if police submitted more warrant requests stemming from the attack.

‘This case is still under investigation,’ she said. ‘We are still looking at every avenue and every aspect. We know that there were a number of people involved in this case.’

The 16-year-old is in custody and faces a hearing Saturday in the county Juvenile Detention Center.

Latrez Cummings, 19, was charged Thursday with assault with intent to murder and assault with intent to do great bodily harm.

Bruce Wimbush Jr., 17; Wonzey Saffold, 30; and James Davis, 24, were arraigned this week on the same charges and are being held in the county jail on $500,000 bonds pending preliminary examinations on April 21.

And once again, I had to look at the UK news pages to find the latest news and pictures on a “sensitive” story here in the USA. Coverage here has been very “plain brown wrapper”. Um, is that a pun in this situation?

More accurately, “You Can’t Say”

An essay in American Thinker about the event in Detroit last week, in which a black kid got hit by a pickup truck he ran out in front of. When driver Steve Utash stopped to render aid, a mob of layabout blacks beat him nearly to death. And robbed him. Utash is in a coma, no arrests have been made, and the press is scared to death to label this a hate crime, or a racist incident, or even to mention race at all. In truth, it is entirely about race, and is yet another episode in the ongoing, one directional race war in America.

Let’s get one thing straight: the savage mob attack on a white motorist in Detroit by a dozen or more black men on Wednesday was not a “vigilante style” attack.

Yet that’s what Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan and City Council President Brenda Jones are trying to call it in a joint statement meant to play down the unavoidable racial element.

May I suggest that the members of this ad-hoc mob of neighborhood goons already harbored racial animus long before Utash’s pickup ever entered their neighborhood?  May I suggest that, after a lifetime of being told by community leaders, schoolteachers, politicians, clergymen, and countless other role models, that every one of them is a victim of racial injustice, and every one of them is righteously entitled to racial justice “by any means necessary” – that these punks spotted a chance for racial vengeance and took it?

Well, it’s kind of raw and ugly to put it that way.  And it says more about what’s really going on in Detroit than just a lot of cool restaurants opening up downtown.

What happened in Detroit on Wednesday is that a black child was hurt accidentally by a white man, and then a gang of racist thugs almost killed him, driven by blind, insane revenge.

Yeah, no kidding. They’ve been fed the curdled milk of human hatred since they were born. Several generations, poisoned from birth. Such a waste.

Going all Zapruder:
Link to security video that shows the kid getting hit, here; see the hit at 0:35 and the zoomed recap at 0:54, when 4 kids race out onto the high speed road from behind several stopped cars, right in front of the truck. Watch closely and you’ll see at 0:34 that the 2 kids in the middle are in a runner’s crouch, and they start their sprints when the truck is barely 10 feet away. Not too bright a move IMO.

Other thoughts ... if what the uncle says on the video is correct, Utash pulled in to the gas station right behind where the boy was hit. And his beat down was in that same spot. So why is this not on the security tape that covers that area? Oh please, like somebody ran in and stopped the tape? No way. And where is this mob coming from? I don’t see anyone hanging around, and maybe only 1 other pedestrian. Presumably they all came running to get in on the excitement, but from where? The pizza shop across the street? The church next door? This is not an urban density residential area. Were they all inside the gas station’s mini-mart? And again, WHY was the tape cut so short? (as if I need to ask)

Now We’ll Need “Knife Control”

10 wounded in multiple stabbings at Pennsylvania high school

Ten people were wounded — four seriously — at a high school near Pittsburgh and one person is in custody early Wednesday, emergency officials say.

Sandy Smythe, a spokeswoman for Westmoreland County emergency management, told FoxNews.com that the suspect is in custody following the incident at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, roughly 15 miles east of Pittsburgh.

It’s unclear if the suspect and the victims are students, adults, or a mix of both. Four of the victims were taken to area hospitals via helicopter, Smythe said.

“There’s a suspect in custody,” Smythe said. “I know nothing else.”

A person may have ran through the school slashing or puncturing students with a knife or other sharp object, according to early reports cited by The Associated Press.

The Conran “R tip” anti-stab utility knife, £7.95 from Newport Knives, UK

You know it’s going to happen. “Knife control”. They already have it over in the UK. I wonder what will happen if someone runs amok with a baseball bat, or if some members of a really intolerant “religion of peace” start doing spontaneous public stonings? Will they outlaw wood and rocks? But the wave is rising; more and more people of a certain type are crying out to government to “protect” them from the slightest bit of danger, risk, unpleasantness, or even perceived discomfort. These are probably the same folks who feel completely justified in calling for the firing, imprisonment, torture, or even execution of others whose opinions differ from theirs.

No, I don’t buy it

TNB

2 year old grabs gun, shoots and kills sister, 11

An 11-year-old girl was killed by a 2 year-old in Philadelphia Saturday after the children were left unsupervised with a gun in the room.

The children were playing in a bedroom when the toddler pointed the cocked handgun at his sister Jamara Stevens and fired, hitting her in the arm around 10 a.m. Saturday, police told NBC10 Philadelphia.

The bullet traveled through the girl chest and struck her heart, police said. She was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead, the station reported. The little boy was found with a burn and traces of gun powder on his arm.

Tiffany Goldwire was in the home with her four children, ages 14, 11, 7 and 2, the station reported.

Police believe her boyfriend came over and brought the gun, which was left with the children in the room when she went to the bathroom, according to NBC10.
...
Prosecutors are investigating to determine if any charges will be filed.

The shooting occurred in the city’s Mantua section.

NBC Philadelphia reports at some point the kids located a gun left on top of the refrigerator by Goldwire’s boyfriend earlier that morning. 11-year-old Jamara Stevens is said to have removed the gun from the refrigerator. While playing, her 2-year-old brother cocked the .357 caliber handgun [with an 8” barrel!] before it discharged, striking Stevens in the arm.  Authorities say the bullet traveled through the girls chest before hitting her heart. A 14-year-old and 7-year-old were also present.
...
The surviving children and Goldwire were taken to police headquarters, where the mother was questioned for nearly five hours, according to reports.

After the family members were interviewed, investigators swiped them for evidence.

Sources tell NBC10 authorities determined the 2-year-old boy pulled the trigger because his arm had traces of gun powder and a burn from the blast.

Hey, I own a .357 with a 6” barrel. This is a BIG heavy pistol, more than 3 lb when loaded, and one with an 8” barrel would weigh even more. No 2 year old could cock the thing, and I doubt many 2 year olds could even lift it, much less point it or pull the trigger properly. Somebody was playing ghetto selfie or some such, putting a cocked and loaded weapon in a toddler’s hands. And then helping them hold and point it.

I don’t even have to call BS on this one. It’s pure and shining. But the baby will take the rap, and the cops will sign off and move on to more important things. Black children killing their brothers and sisters? New black boyfriends getting rid of some other dude’s kids? Doesn’t matter. Just another day. Nobody cares, not even them. Very Sad.

Bad Week To Be A Democrat

Thieves, Thugs, And Murderers

3rd Prominent Democrat Politician Arrested in 2 Days

Charlotte Mayor Busted For Bribery, Fraud, Extortion

imageFBI agents on Wednesday arrested the mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina, for allegedly taking tens of thousands of dollars worth of bribes “in exchange for the use of his official position,” the U.S. attorney’s office said.

Patrick D. Cannon, 47, faces federal charges of theft and bribery concerning programs receiving federal funds, honest services wire fraud and extortion under color of official right, according to a press release from U.S. Attorney Anne Tompkins of western North Carolina.
...
Federal authorities launched their corruption investigation in August 2010, using FBI agents who posed as commercial real estate developers and investors looking to do business in the North Carolina city, Tompkins’ office said.

Investigators documented five separate occasions between January 2013 and February 2014 in which Cannon allegedly took more than $48,000 in cash, airline tickets, a hotel room and a luxury apartment from the undercover agents.

In the last instance, authorities say Cannon got $20,000 in cash in the mayor’s office.

He allegedly accepted the largesse in exchange for returning the favor using his powers as a City Council member, mayor pro tem and, eventually, mayor.

Cannon appeared in court Wednesday and was released on bond, the U.S. attorney’s office reported.

If convicted on all charges, he could be sentenced to as many as 50 years in federal prison and pay as much as $1.5 million in fines, officials said.

While this seems bad enough, it’s hardly a drop in the bucket compared to yesterday’s busts of two leading California Democrats, accused of all the usual corruption, plus being in neck deep with organized crime, running guns to/from terrorists, and running murder for hire hit squads. Crivens!!

California state senator Leland Yee arrested in FBI sweep
Remember Yee? He was the guy pushing for a blanket Assault Weapons ban. Take those guns away from the citizens, to fight crime!

imageA longtime California politician who was praised for his efforts to make government more transparent and authored gun control legislation was arrested Wednesday, accused of conspiracy to deal firearms and wire fraud.

The allegations against State Sen. Leland Yee were outlined in an FBI affidavit in support of a criminal complaint against him and 25 other people. The affidavit was unsealed on Wednesday, as Yee was scheduled to appear in court.

Yee performed “official acts” in exchange for donations from undercover FBI agents, as he sought to dig himself out of a $70,000 debt incurred during a failed San Francisco mayoral bid, according to court documents.

Yee is also accused of accepting $10,000 in January 2013 from an undercover agent in exchange for his making a call to the California Department of Public Health in support of a contract under consideration with the agency.

Also named in the affidavit is Raymond Chow. Chow, who is also known as “Shrimp Boy,” was the former leader of a Chinese criminal organization with ties to Hong Kong. Chow is accused of money laundering, conspiracy to receive and transport stolen property and conspiracy to traffic contraband cigarettes. He and Yee were arrested earlier in the day during a series of raids by the FBI in Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Yee was released from custody shortly before 7 p.m. on a $500,000 unsecured bond. He left the federal courthouse in San Francisco without comment.

His lawyer, Paul DeMeester, said Lee plans to plead not guilty but declined to discuss the case in detail, saying it’s complex. The complaint is 137 pages.

137 pages long? Oh, I’m sure the whole thing is a complete fabrication. And major involvement in a Chinese Tong? Horry Clap. How awful! How stereotypical!! How raycis!!!

Chow acknowledged in an unpublished autobiography that he ran prostitution rings in the 1980s, smuggled drugs and extorted thousands from business owners as a Chinatown gang member, KGO-TV reported two years ago.

In 1992, Chow was among more than two-dozen people indicted on racketeering charges for their alleged involvement in crimes ranging from teenage prostitution to an international drug trade mostly involving heroin.

He was later convicted of gun charges and sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. He spent 11 years in prison and was released in 2003 after he cut a deal with the government to testify against another high-ranking associate, Peter Chong. Chong was later convicted of racketeering.

But Chow told KGO-TV in a 2012 interview that he had changed and was working with at-risk children in San Francisco.

U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California issued a statement in 2012 recognizing Chow as a former offender who had become an asset to his community, the Sacramento Bee reported.

BUT IT GETS EVEN WORSE.

Keith Jackson, former S.F. education official, accused of murder-for-hire

image Keith Jackson, accused by the FBI on Wednesday of being involved in a murder-for-hire scheme and a gun- and drug-trafficking conspiracy, was San Francisco’s top elected educator during the late 1990s.
...
One of Jackson’s sons, Brandon Jamell Jackson, 28, is also accused in the FBI complaint of conspiracies to commit murder for hire and trafficking in guns and drugs.

As an elected official in the 1990s, Keith Jackson declined to discuss his money problems with The Chronicle. The problems included five federal and state liens totaling $4,369 for tax debts between 1989 and 1994, and a missed payment to the University of Phoenix in San Jose that a court ordered him to pay up with interest.

Jackson called the inquiry a racially motivated attack. Jackson is black.

Today, Jackson runs the Jackson Consultancy business, according to the federal complaint, and he has been helping raise money for state Sen. Leland Yee’s election campaigns since 2011. Yee was also arrested in the FBI sweep on Wednesday.

The feds say Yee participated in conversations about an illegal gun-trafficking deal and took money from undercover agents for his secretary of state campaign. Chow and Jackson are among 25 other people named in the federal affidavit. The feds say Jackson consulted both Yee and Chow, and that FBI agents were able to infiltrate Chow’s organization to facilitate the illegal deals.

Want more? Lee was trying to import - for whom, might we ask? - automatic weapons and shoulder fired missiles from radical muzzie terrorists in the Philippines! Wonder who was going to get them, his pal Shrimpie’s tong??

Funny thing ... I couldn’t find a single mention of any of these alleged crooks at the CNN pages. Not on the front page, not on the politics page. It’s like ... they don’t exist. Like this never happened.

Yee is the third Democratic state senator in California to face criminal charges this year. Sen. Rod Wright was convicted of perjury and voter fraud for lying about his legal residence in Los Angeles County, and Sen. Ron Calderon has been indicted on federal corruption charges. Wright and Calderon are taking a voluntary leave of absence, with pay, although Republicans have called for them to be suspended or expelled.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
