Speaking of Obama…

It seems our wonderful President is preparing a real treat for us on the issue of immigration.  A “surge” of amnesty for illegal immigrants via executive order, between 4 and 9 million per year beginning in 2016.

Such a sweet parting gift.  I’m sure Obama’s base in the ghetto will really appreciate having millions of illegal immigrants take their jobs.  You can’t say Obama discriminates, he’s screwing ALL Americans.

Breitbart and The Daily Mail both have good articles.

Breitbart:  Obama Administration Quietly Prepares ‘Surge’ Of Millions Of New Immigrant IDs

Daily Mail:  Up to 34 MILLION blank ‘green cards’ and work permits to be ordered ahead of Obama illegal immigrant ‘amnesty’

Oh, here’s the Federal Request for Quotation.  I guess he doesn’t want to get caught short.

General Service Administration Request for Quotation

Obama makes rare campaign trail appearance, people leave early

President Barack Obama made a rare appearance on the campaign trail on Sunday with a rally to support the Democratic candidate for governor in Maryland, but early departures of crowd members while he spoke underscored his continuing unpopularity.

With approval levels hovering around record lows, Obama has spent most of his campaign-related efforts this year raising money for struggling Democrats, who risk losing control of the U.S. Senate in the Nov. 4 midterm election.

Most candidates from his party have been wary of appearing with him during their election races because of his sagging popularity.

The magic that President Obama once enjoyed at political rallies appears to have vanished into thin air, as a crowd of spectators walked out on the president during a speech for Democrats Sunday in Maryland.

During an appearance for Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown, who is running for governor of Maryland, “early departures of crowd members while he spoke underscored his continuing unpopularity,” reported Reuters.

A steady stream of people walked out of the auditorium while he spoke,” the wire service noted, “and a heckler interrupted his remarks.”

baaaaaad sheep

Brit Sheep Eat Reefer Crop

A HUNGRY flock of sheep munched on thousands of pounds worth of drugs dumped in a field in Merstham.

The woolly wanderers enjoyed an interesting lunch when seven bags of cannabis plants, each about three foot tall, were fly-tipped at the edge of Fanny’s Farm in Markedge Lane.

Farm shop manager Nellie Budd told the Mirror she had “no idea” where the mysterious marijuana came from.

...

A police drug squad was called in to investigate the dope discovery, and told Mrs Budd her flock had grazed on around £4,000 worth of the class B drug.

“My sheep being inquisitive had an interesting feast on it,” she said. “At first I thought it was someone’s hedgerow rubbish. I went down to get the bags so the sheep weren’t eating black plastic.

“When I got there I realised it was a form of herbal cannabis plant. They were very strong in scent.”

Officers dutifully removed the stash of hash, telling Mrs Budd the drugs would be incinerated.

Why bother? Seems like the flock took care of things well enough.

The sheep at Fanny’s Farm in Mertsham, southern England, were not affected by munching on the hemp, with their owner Nellie Budd speculating the seven bags of three-foot-high plants must have been ditched outside her farm.

Cannabis has been known to leave those using it a little woolly headed.

But it had little effect on a flock of British sheep who merrily chomped their way through around $6,500 worth of the drug after it had been dumped in their field, reports the Surrey Mirror.

Seven bags of hash, each about three feet high, were dumped in a field at Fanny’s Farm, in Mertsham, southern England.

The curious sheep gleefully made their way through the plants before their owner got suspicious.

The sheep have shown no side effects so far, other than demanding a quarter ton of Cool Ranch Doritos and several extra large bottles of Visine.

Par For The Course

Obola Golfs Half The Day Then Attends Ebola Meeting

New Ebola Czar Skips The Meeting, 2nd Miss In 2 Days

President Barack Obama’s new Ebola “czar” Ron Klain has skipped another White House meeting on the Ebola crisis, a readout of who attended a Saturday meeting with Obama shows.

Obama held the Ebola meeting after spending four hours and 40 minutes on the golf course at Fort Belvoir, according to the White House press pool report from the New York Daily News’ Dan Friedman.

...

Klain, who was appointed Ebola Czar on Friday by Obama, is not on this list. It’s the second meeting in as many days on Ebola that Klain hasn’t attended after being appointed into the position on Friday.

nothing succeeds like success

As ISIS develops an air force, their pilots being trained by turncoat Iraqi airmen, suddenly Al Qaeda wants to make nice-nice.

Or, as they used to say in da neighbahood, an attack on one of us is an attack on all of us. It’s family.

Al-Qaeda issues call to support Isil

Al-Qaeda’s leading terror franchise has presented a new challenge to the American-led coalition in Syria and Iraq by calling on the group to back Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant despite the two groups’ fierce rivalry.

The call by Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula is doubly significant because its leader is believed to have been appointed as “general manager” or chief operating officer and deputy to Al-Qaeda’s overall head, Ayman al-Zawahiri.

In the past year, Zawahiri and the head of Isil, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, have clashed openly and the two groups have fought each other in Syria. But America’s decision to bomb not only Isil in Iraq and Syria but also a group of Al-Qaeda fighters accused of planning an attack on the United States has drawn the two rival jihadi organisations closer together.

“We urge all Muslims to back their brethren, with their souls, money and tongues, against the crusaders,” a statement released on Friday said. “We call on anyone who can wear down the Americans to strive to do so by military, economic or media means.” The American decision to bomb an outpost of Al-Qaeda’s official faction in the Syrian Civil War, Jabhat Al-Nusra, caused outrage in the rebel cause.

That’s us. The Crusaders. Because it’s still 1232 AD in their minds.

Personally, this comes as no surprise. The realization that they’re stronger together, and can work out their differences later once the caliphate is built, is pretty obvious.  Hamas, PLO, Boko Haram ... they’re all in the same boat too. I can’t wait until they all join hands and sign Kumbayah Akhbar.

And it ought to make our targeting decisions easier. Hell, it ought to make it hard to miss.

RIP off?

Chicago T-Shirt Shop: 40% of our business

is on “RIP shirts” memorializing murdered youths

Custom-made “RIP” shirts for young victims of violence, accident or illness have become increasingly popular in recent years, according to the head of a national support group for families who have lost children. The shirts have become ubiquitous at the funerals of young victims of gun violence in Chicago, which had 414 murders in 2013.

“There’s been a paradigm shift with younger people,” said Alan Pedersen, executive director of The Compassionate Friends, based in Oak Brook, Illinois. “They’re proud to display their grief and that they love and miss somebody.”

William “Surf” Ryals, owner of T.B Customs on Chicago’s South Side, said people began asking him for custom memorial shirts in the 1990s. At that time, mourners did not wear them to funerals but to meals after services or on the deceased person’s birthday. The shirts were artistic and expensive, with rhinestones and poems.

Over the past five years, he said, young mourners have increasingly chosen to wear them to funerals. The shirts are now 40 percent of his business, he estimated.

“It’s become the latest fashion,” said Ryals, who fears some people don’t take the shirts as seriously as in the past.

When you even consider fashion for funeral attire, you are going to way too many funerals.

I am not knocking the T-shirt shop guy. He’s fulfilling a community need, and making money off of it, like a good American.

But still. Custom made apparel comes to the lower income youth market and sets a fashion trend in the culture of violent urban death.  That’s indicative. And really sad.

cheap gas

I was going to post and say how gas here in NJ, up in Warren County, seems to be more than a dime cheaper, averaging about $2.84 (regular, cash price) with a low of $2.81.

But a quick look online and it seems my cheap corner of low fuel tax NJ isn’t cheap by any means; snooty little Westwood up in Bergen County near the NY line has gas for $2.49, 35¢ less. Wow. And that’s almost nothing: several states now have gas selling in the $2.30s bracket.

Guess that greedy Gulf station out by the highway trying to get $3.95 is in for a rude awakening.  And it’s about time.

Gas prices across the U.S. are dropping fast, with the national average nearing a four-year low.

“The national average is down ten cents week-on-week. That’s a huge movement in the national average,” GasBuddy analyst Patrick DeHaan said, adding that in his five years watching gas prices, they generally move only by half of a penny or a penny a day.

...

The price drop is due to a combination of seasonal and geopolitical factors. While gas prices generally drop in the fall, as demand slows down and Americans switch over to cheaper winter gasoline, DeHaan said added to the current drop is an OPEC-fueled price war.

Lower gas prices generally encourage consumers to get out of their houses and do some fall shopping. Compared to last year, American drivers are saving $75 million each day, due to lower prices at the pump. But DeHaan said that worries over Ebola could eventually keep some shoppers home, causing gas prices to drop even further.

...

6 U.S. States with the Lowest Gas Prices

1. Missouri: $2.83/gallon

2. South Carolina: $2.93/gallon

3. Tennessee: $2.94/gallon

4. Oklahoma: $2.94/gallon

5. Minnesota: $2.95/gallon

6. Mississippi: $2.95/gallon

I have no idea why Humboldt TN, halfway between Nashville and Memphis, should have the lowest prices in the country, averaging $2.32. Tennessee state fuel tax is 39.8¢; 7¢ higher than the NJ tax. Which implies NJ gas could be selling for $2.25 if they can get the same source prices as TN. And I can’t see why not, as NJ pumps 10 times as much gas I’m sure.

Still, until I can run my old Saturn down to fumes before filling up, and then fill up the nearly 12 gallon tank for $20, then gas costs too much. That’s about $1.75/gal, a decent price under Booosh. And I want that to be all gasoline too. Let’s shitcan the idiot ethanol thing already.

Lazy AND Tacky

Drive Thru Window On Funeral Homes

( Do you want fries with that? )

SAGINAW, Michigan — Only a couple of families have taken advantage of a new service available at a Saginaw funeral home.

Paradise Funeral Chapel recently started offering the option, which allows mourners to pay their last respects on the go. It was designed in part to cater to those with physical limitations.

The funeral home’s president, Ivan Phillips, says he expects more customers to opt for the drive-thru once they learn it’s not a gimmick and is safe to use.

Curtains covering the window open when sensors underneath the pavement recognize the presence of a car. Mourners then get three minutes to view the body as music plays.

Eww. Just eww. And I can see it degrading quickly, into some kind of teenage dare thing, or worse if the funeral home is in a bit of a ghetto.

Turd Polish

It is to laugh, because there’s less clean up versus throwing up.

Look how the NY Times lays cover for Captain Clueless.

WASHINGTON — Beneath the calming reassurance that President Obama has repeatedly offered during the Ebola crisis, there is a deepening frustration, even anger, with how the government has handled key elements of the response.

Those frustrations spilled over when Mr. Obama convened his top aides in the Cabinet room after canceling his schedule on Wednesday. Medical officials were providing information that later turned out to be wrong. Guidance to local health teams was not adequate. It was unclear which Ebola patients belonged in which threat categories.

“It’s not tight,” a visibly angry Mr. Obama said of the response, according to people briefed on the meeting. He told aides they needed to get ahead of events and demanded a more hands-on approach, particularly from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “He was not satisfied with the response,” a senior official said.

The difference between the public and private messages illustrates the dilemma Mr. Obama faces on Ebola — and a range of other national security issues — as he tries to galvanize the response to a public health scare while not adding to the sense of panic fueled by 24-hour cable TV and the nonstop Twitter chatter.

On Friday, Mr. Obama took a step to both fix that response and reassure the public, naming Ron Klain, a former aide to Vice President Joseph R. Biden, to coordinate the government’s efforts on Ebola

Right, so giving the job to Al Gore’s chief chad counter, a guy with ZERO medical training, will nip this one in the bud for sure. Blatant political payback, and a typical breaking of traditional channels and roles.

But at this point, even the utterly sycophant Times is having trouble, and the cracks are starting to show ...

For two turbulent weeks, White House officials have sought to balance those imperatives: insisting the dangers to the American public were being overstated in the news media, while also moving quickly to increase the president’s demonstration of action.

In other words, lying to us on one hand, while on the other trying to make it look like the Golfer In Chief has a clue, gives a shit, and is actually paying attention.  In other words, lying to us on BOTH hands.

As the White House scrambled to stop the spread of Ebola beyond a handful of cases, officials were also grappling with an escalating military campaign against the Islamic State, the specter of a new Cold War with Russia over Ukraine, and the virtual disintegration of Yemen, which has been a seedbed for Al Qaeda.

Yeah, Yemen is falling apart, going to Hellena Handbasket. The rebels are winning, although who the hell the rebels are or who they side with is beyond me. But whenever the news goes into Smoke Mode, you know there are Mirrors at work, and this may be one of those nasty situations that always happen when we’re looking the other way. When Yemen goes, Al Q /ISIS benefits, and Saudi Arabia finds themselves nearly surrounded by terrorists (Egypt, Sudan, Yemen, Iraq, Qatar??) that they don’t control. Ruh roh!!

2011 Army Medical Manual: Aerosol Ebola

image

VIRAL HEMORRHAGIC FEVERS (VHFs)

page 117

Lassa, CCHF, Ebola, and Marburg viruses may be particularly prone to nosocomial spread due to periods of high viremia corresponding with bleeding propensity. In several instances, secondary infections among contacts and medical personnel without direct body fluid exposure have been documented. These instances have prompted concern of a rare phenomenon of aerosol transmission of infection. Therefore, when VHF is suspected, additional infection control measures are indicated. The patient should be hospitalized in a private room with an adjoining anteroom to be used for donning and removing protective barriers, storage of supplies, and decontamination of laboratory specimen containers. A negative-pressure isolation room with 6–12 air exchanges per h is ideal for all VHF patients and is strongly advised for patients with significant cough, hemorrhage, or diarrhea. All persons entering the room should wear double gloves, impermeable gowns with leg and shoe coverings (contact isolation), eye protection and HEPA (N-95) masks or positive-pressure air-purifying respirators (PAPRs). Note that though, that aerosol transmission person-to-person, if it occurs, is a rare occurrence.

Are You Feeling Managed Yet?

Nigerian Air Passenger Dies By Vomiting En Route To JFK

Instant Ruling: Not Ebola

Srsly??

image

A passenger died on a Nigeria-to-JFK flight after a vomiting fit Thursday — and a top lawmaker said officials gave the corpse only a “cursory” exam before declaring that the victim did not have Ebola.

Rep. Peter King said in a letter to Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection that the handling of the remains exposed serious flaws in airport preparedness for an Ebola outbreak.

Between 70 and 100 passengers a day arrive at JFK from the Ebola epicenter countries of Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, King noted, and they have access to public restrooms and mingle with other travelers before their first screening.

“Given the high volume of travelers at JFK, it is essential that extraordinary measures are taken to intercept possible Ebola-infected passengers,” while keeping the public and first responders safe, King (R-LI) wrote to Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson and Customs Commissioner Gil Kerlikowske.

“These individuals transit the airport with the rest of the traveling population, including using the restrooms,” King wrote.

“It is only after they arrive at the Customs and Border Protection primary screening location that they are separated and sent to secondary inspection for a medical check and to complete the questionnaire,” he wrote Johnson.

His letter demands Homeland Security immediately beef up protocols for potentially infected passengers both in flight and at the terminal itself, prior to their reaching the screening location.

The unnamed passenger, age 63, had boarded an Arik Air plane Wednesday night out of Lagos, Nigeria, which has had 19 Ebola cases this year though no new cases in the past month.

He was vomiting in his seat and died sometime before the plane landed around 6 a.m., the source said. The crew contacted the CDC, whose officials boarded the plane as about 145 worried passengers remained on board, a federal law enforcement source said.

“The door [to the terminal] was left open, which a lot of the first responders found alarming,” said the source.

“The CDC went on the plane, examined the dead body and said the person did not have Ebola,” King told The Post. “It was, what I was told, a cursory examination. The Port Authority cops and personnel from Customs and Border Protection were there . . . Their concern was, how could you tell so quickly? And what adds to the concern is how wrong the CDC has been over the past few weeks.”

What Fools We Be

Hey, it could be worse ... half an hour ago the MSM was reporting that the job was being given to Al Gore.

pResident Obola Names Ron Klain As EBOLA CZAR

Man with NO MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE AT ALL to head national Ebola effort

(But hey, he stayed in a Best Western last night!)

The United States has no Surgeon General. We have not had a surgeon general in some time. Obama has made two attempts to fill the position, both times with political appointees. IIRC, the first guy was some big cash contributor, and the second guy was some very young doctor who had helped push Obamacare through. One would think that if the position wasn’t a complete sinecure, that being the ultimate doctor in charge during a pandemic would be the reason the post existed. And that having that senior level of gravitas and medical accomplishment would be the primary factors for the position, which ought to transcend politics.

Are you kidding? Obola doesn’t do a think that isn’t political.

So now we have this. Dig the lie in the VERY FIRST SENTENCE.

Obama to name longtime political aide as ‘Ebola czar,’ bypassing senior health official

Responding to growing calls to appoint an “Ebola czar” to lead America’s battle against the deadly virus, sources confirm to Fox News that President Obama plans to name Ron Klain, a longtime political hand with no apparent medical or health care background.

He did, however, serve as chief of staff to Al Gore and later Vice President Biden.

In making the appointment, Obama will effectively bypass another official, Dr. Nicole Lurie, who has served as assistant secretary for preparedness and response (ASPR) at the Department of Health and Human Services since July 2009.

Congress, nearly a decade ago, created that post, which would seem to fit the bill for Ebola coordinator—at least on paper.

Yet, as Obama prepares to name Klain, the senior official currently filling that health job has been virtually absent from the public eye. She’s on the team, the Obama administration insists—just not in the lead.

A spokesman with HHS told Fox News that in addition to roles played by other agencies, “Dr. Lurie and her team in ASPR are dealing primarily with advance development of countermeasures, [Public Health Service] deployment, and hospital outreach.”

In other words, Lurie is part of the cast but by no means a central character.

Who da fug be axin fo da ‘bola za? Ain be me. Ain be you. Ain eben da Dembocrats. Who it be?

At least one lawmaker, though, pinpointed her post as the one that should be in charge of the whole operation.

Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., remembered that Congress had created such a point person in 2006 with the Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act.

When asked in an Oct. 13 interview on MSNBC if he thought the administration needed an Ebola “czar,” Casey said, “I don’t, because under the bill we have such a person in HHS already.”

It may make sense for us to have one person ... so that after this initial surge of activity, we can have a more regular process just to make sure that we’re crossing all the T’s and dotting all the I’s going forward,” Obama said.

...

“He’s strong. He’s very tough,” said CNN Political analyst David Gergen. “It’s important in this job to be a coordinator; you have to knock heads together. He’s tough enough to do that.”

Gergen said that while Klain doesn’t have a health care background, he does have both domestic policy and foreign policy assignments on his portfolio and both will come into play as the administration deals with Ebola.

Klain will report to both White House homeland security adviser Lisa Monaco and National Security Advisor Susan Rice, according to a White House official.

So instead of giving the job to the person who OUGHT to have it, the Surgeon General, because that job isn’t filled ... but it is, mostly. We have an acting SG, Rear Admiral Boris D. Lushniak. So, why not give him the job? Or if he isn’t up to doing the work, then why on earth is he occupying the chair?

Notice also that the new Secretary of Health has NO ROLE HERE. Now that Kathleen Sebelius (hey, remember her??) has vacated the post, it’s been held for 4 months now by Sylvia Burwell. While she is an incumbent, the position is Cabinet Level. She is head of HHS, period. She is the person at the top of the heap, several layers above the Surgeon General. But she isn’t getting this role either. It’s going to some guy. A man. And his “clear lines of communication” on this major health issue don’t go through her, or HHS, AT ALL.  They go through Homeland Security, and the NSA. As if we were dealing with terrorists and spies.

Sounds like they can’t even follow their own protocols.

We are so fucked.

I surrender

I just give up.

If it isn’t these asshat crazy mofo jihadis in ISIS, then it’s their first cousins in the UK abusing the daylights out of women.

What a non-surprise ... along with the islamic view of women as livestock, the honor-killings, and the “grooming” “scandal” done in Rotherham and other places for more than a decade, also comes the latest: 1700 cases of female genital mutilation in the UK in the last 6 months, with the possibility of 50,000 or more women living with it in the United Kingdom.

Let me say that again in a slightly different way: THOUSANDS of women living in the UK are being “religiously” tortured and mutilated every year.

UK: 1,700 female genital mutilation victims since April, Over 140,000 Victims in the UK

1700 cases in last six months treated by the NHS, but no worries, the evil clown Reza Aslan says FGM is a Christian African problem. And that’s only who they are treating, lord knows the actual number.

140,000 of overwhelmingly Muslim victims of FGM are living in the UK, living with the aftereffects of FGM across England and Wales. Of these women, 10,000 are under 15 years of age. 50,000 are over 50. Most of the women are thought to have migrated to Britain from Muslim counties where the practice of cutting girls’ genitalia is still widespread.

...

More than 1,700 women and girls subject to female genital mutilation (FGM) have been treated by UK health services since April, when hospitals in England were told to begin recording instances of the illegal practice.

In the last six months, 1,746 FGM cases were identified in English hospitals, according to figures released on Thursday by the Health and Social Care Information Centre.

In September alone, there were 467 new cases.

“Having accurate data about this crime is an important step in helping prevent its occurrence in the future,” said HSCIC chair Kingsley Manning.

“The information will support the Department of Health in their FGM prevention program, and we hope to expand the dataset over time so that it provides a more complete picture across a wider variety of care settings.”

In July this year, Home Secretary Theresa May said more than 100,000 women in the UK are living with the consequences of FGM, and 60,000 girls are at risk.

White Flight

A Knight To Remember

A Bit Of History

October 2, 1967

Somewhere over the Mojave Desert, hundreds of miles north of Las Vegas

The white trail traced a curve upward, upward, vaulting away into the western sky. Blue sky gave way to black. And there was a concussive explosion.

Read the story here.

Pictures that go with the story are here.
