The State Of Our Universities

Here’s a great first hand account of the lunacy that passes for education and tolerance at our universities.  This gentleman is European.  He teaches here in the US.

Everything he says corroborates what we’ve been writing about here at BMEWS--our universities are festering pits of intolerance for conservatives and do all they can to foster liberal brainwashing of our youth.

Very disturbing stuff.

Suicide Is Painless

This hotel I’m staying in has a limited number of channels on the TV in the rooms. Fox News is not available. The only news (?) channel available is CNN.

Right now, Larry King is interviewing Jane Fonda. I endured five minutes of it purely out of curiosity. I have used every cuss word I know, including [expletive deleted].

This is cruel and unusual punishment. Someone please call the Supreme Court. I’m going to go read a book.

ARGH!

If I have to put up with this crap for the next few weeks while the movers search for a “round tuit” and pack my stuff and move it out here, I may consider suicide. My brain can’t take too much of the Communist News Network’s crap.

Somebody help me!!!!

Important Announcement!!!

Yesterday I asked for resumes to fill an interim position on the BMEWS staff---that of SecWar.

I’ve been mulling this over in my mind all day and have come to a decision.

The winner is Carby, Illegitimi Non Carborundum, currently residing in New Zealand.  I like the idea of having someone awake while I am asleep.  Someone to watch for Barking Moonbats.  Plus he’s an ex-Marine.  OOO-Rah!!

So, you’re the winner, Carby!!  Congratulations!

However, I must warn you that you may need to share power during occassional incursions to the blog by SecWar Prime.  I am confident in your abilities to do so. Now, how the SecWar Prime is going to take all this is up in the air.  We’ll deal with it.

For those who really must know........the thing that really sealed his appointment was his ability to correctly name the beauty I posted early.

Sexist pig to the end, I know!

P.S.  Please provide a picture of you sitting in an sun-faded red (pink) lounge chair with a red hat on for your new avatar.  Cigar and machine gun optional.

My Brain Hurts

I am reading a book by Brian Greene titled, “The Elegant Universe....Superstrings, Hidden Dimensions, and the Quest for the Ultimate Theory.”

I’m on Chapter 3 where he is desribing how the circumference of a circle does NOT equal pi*diameter or 2*pi*r.

I need a break so my head does not explode.

Anyone here foloow this stuff?

An Open Invitation

A thought has occurred to me. Now that I am in St. Louis (yes, the cat’s out of the bag), why don’t we have a BMEWS Party. By my reckoning, there are approximately a dozen BMEWS members within a 200-mile radius. Why can’t we schedule a party and everyone get together, see a ball game, take plenty of pictures and drink lots of beer. Who knows, maybe we can go harass some Liberals or Democrats somewhere. I’m sure there are some hereabouts that we can go pick on even if this is a “red state”.

I will make this offer too. I will buy Vilmar a plane ticket to fly out and spend the weekend so you can meet both of us fine-looking gentlemen. It will be an historic occasion since Vilmar and I have never met face-to-face. What say you all?

Date: How does this sound? The Cubs will be in town to play the Cardinals on Friday, Saturday, Sunday - July 22-23-24. The Saturday game wil be televised on Fox TV.

Anybody interested? If so, would anyone be interested in helping me plan this bash?

The Eagle Has Landed

The BMEWS Secretary Of Was has arrived. I will be shuttling back and forth for the next few weeks as well as starting a new job so don’t look for more than one or two posts daily for a while. For those who think that is too much (Stan?), you may feel free to kiss my a**.

It is time to reveal the new BMEWS Central Command location. Here are the clues so far ....

1- Six interstates to get here from Huntsville, AL.

2- Home to a major league baseball team.

3- Home to a national football league team.

Give up? If so, continue reading ....

The Moonbats Are Circling

Apparently the MSM is in an absolute tizzy that President Bush more or less told Jimmy “PeanutBrain” Carter to go fuck himself and that he was not welcome on Air Force 1 as it headed to the Pope’s funeral.

BRAVO!!!

I love this.  An unidentified White House source said:

“The other thing that people forget is that Carter has treated President Bush very badly. He has openly criticized the President in a manner that President Clinton has not.  He has traveled around the world bad-mouthing this president and this country’s policies. I would be surprised if a single person gave a thought to including him in the delegation.”

Find that here.

Taking Bets

The will of the people was made known yesterdsay in Kansas.  71 percent voted on a constitutional amendment banning homosexual marriage or civil unions.

SEVENTY ONE PERCENT!

What do you want to bet some judge will say it is unconstitutional?

Serious Stuff

Thanks to a link from Kim’s site I bring you this story.

We all do a lot of shouting and posturing here about killing so and so and plugging his or her ass and other assorted braggadocio. Anyone coming to this blog would think bullets are in a perpetual state of firing at our homes.

But killing someone is serious business.

OCM seems to think that if everyone were armed we’d wipe out hundreds in innocent shootings as all the gun carrying members opened fire like in some crazy movie.

If you are like me, when you carry a gun it is no laughing matter.  Serious shit happens if it goes off (intentionally or not.) Even worse is when you injure or kill someone.  The shit really hits the fan no matter how justified you were.

Your life changes forever.

So do yourself a favor. Read this. It’ll be the best 5-15 minutes of your day (depending on your reading speed.)

From The “DUH” Department

Children who watch a lot of TV are more apt to become bullies. Well, no shit, Sherlock!!

I’d read about this last year and thought I’d blogged about it but in a cursory check could not find the post so here are a couple more links to the effects of TV on children.

They deal with ADHD.

One says TV causes ADHD. I tend to believe this because if you take a good look at programming, try and time how long ANY image stays on the screen.  Usually never more than a second or two.  Now, you take those constantly flickering images, the constant bouncing back and forth of the camera not giving a young child’s mind time to settle on one image and absorb it (why do you think kids LOVE to have the same story read over and over and over?) and what do you think will happen to that kid’s brain?  It “LEARNS” that everything is like that and so it will then translate into a child that can’t stand still.  Constantly wants stimulation.

The other, while not totally refuting it, makes reference to violent behavior.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
