SHE WEIGHS IN AT 602 POUNDS, AND WANTS TO SET A RECORD BY DOUBLING THAT. MOONBAT CROWN

Ok, this deserves a civilian moonbat crown maybe with skulls(?) as this woman is digging her own grave at some point.  This is GROSS.

batbatbatbatbatbatbatbatbatbatbatbatbat

Drew ... is there some way to embed just one of the bats on this photo?  I wanted to do that where I have the text on the pix. Jeesh.
This woman needs counseling pretty quick.
If she ever fell down, how would they get her upright short of a construction crane?  And we know who will end up picking up her medical tab.
What was it Texas Guinan said? Oh yeah. image image [what, like this? Drew]

The super-sized 602 lb. mother who is determined to become the world’s fattest woman

By Daily Mail Reporter

‘My favourite food is sushi, but unlike others I can sit and eat 70 big pieces of sushi in one go,’ she said.

‘I do love cakes and sweet things, doughnuts are my favourite.’

Donna, who wears XXXXXXXL dresses, eats mounds of junk food and tries to move as little as possible.

Ms Simpson already holds the Guinness World Record as the world’s fattest mother, when she gave birth in 2007 weighing 38stone.

She needed a team of 30 medics to deliver her daughter Jacqueline during a high-risk Caesarean birth.

Yet although she can only move 20ft before needing to sit down, she wants to be even bigger.

‘I’d love to be 1,000lb,’ she said.

‘It might be hard though. Running after my daughter keeps my weight down.’

Donna Simpson already weighs 43st, but she is determined to nearly double her size to become the world’s fattest woman.

The 42-year-old from New Jersey, U.S, is set on reaching the 1,000lb mark (71st) in just two years. Remarkably she insists she is healthy, despite now needing a mobility scooter when she goes shopping.

Insinuating that a woman is not as strong as a man will be “unlawful sex discrimination”

batbatbatbatbatbatbat

Why heck, we’re runnin’ out of bats for this one. Mz Harperson really demands and intends to leave no feelings or even the possibility that there lurks the intent, or the the possibility that by pure accident, a lady may be offended and thereby have her “rights” impinged.  Hey .. read this and tell us if she isn’t off the edge of the flat planet she is living on.  In fact ... NOBODY, men or women will have hurt feelings or more specifically, their ‘umin rights’ abused or brought into question, as Harperson see those rights.

I will not take the time to go through this and post comments line by line. It’s too exhaustive and time consuming. This legislation is full of so much crap I don’t see how it can pass.  But there isn’t any mistake that Happy Deluded Harriet thinks it a neat idea and worthy of becoming the law of the land.
She is for now, the BMEWS Queen of Moonbats.

Note to Drew.  We need to get her face on a bat to use for that purpose. With a little moombat crown maybe.

Gym staff could be prosecuted for warning a woman not to lift heavy weights under equality legislation being championed by Harriet Harman.

By Melissa Kite, Deputy political editor

Insinuating that a woman is not as strong as a man will be “unlawful sex discrimination”, under the terms of the forthcoming Equality Bill.
A code of practice explaining the legal implications of the Bill, which is currently going through Parliament, states that being a woman is “a protected characteristic”.

The code, drawn up by the Equality and Human Rights Commission, explains ways in which women might be unfairly stereotyped and defines behaviours that will in future be seen as discrimination.
It includes a long list of examples of “unintentional less favourable treatment” including what might happen to a woman when she joins a gym and begins lifting weights.

It states: “A general stereotype about men and women is that in terms of physique, most men are stronger than most women. Nevertheless it is likely to be unlawful sex discrimination for a gym to test every woman’s strength but not every man’s before allowing them access to weightlifting facilities.”

The code makes clear that it will not be seen as an excuse if the motive of the gym staff is to help a woman or save her from injury.
“It does not matter what the service provider’s intentions are or whether the service provider’s less favourable treatment of the person is conscious or unconscious.

“The service provider may even think that they are doing the person a favour, or simply be unaware that they are treating the person differently because of a protected characteristic.”

The Bill, championed by Ms Harman, the Equalities Minister, has already courted much controversy and attracted the criticism of the Pope when it proposed that churches would be prosecuted for refusing to employ gay people.

The legislation also provides protection under the law from discrimination for “any religious belief or philosophical belief” and even “a lack of belief”.
Last week it emerged that vegans would be protected, along with members of cults and “new religions” such as Scientology.

Advertisements giving preferential treatment to men or women could also be illegal, meaning the end of “ladies’ nights” at clubs, when women receive cut-price drinks or free entrance but men pay full price.
People for whom abstention from alcohol was a way of life would be given new rights to protect them from discrimination.

The Bill will give more scope too for the prosecution of shopkeepers and club owners who refuse to allow entry to certain types of people.
It says that shopkeepers who refuse entry to black teenagers, for example, after stories in the local press about thefts in the area by black teenagers will be prosecuted for race discrimination.

The Bill also creates a new offence of discrimination by association. The code states that if a nightclub refused entry to three Polish people and an English man, the English man could claim he has suffered racial discrimination by association.

If a boy is refused membership of his local football club and his parents are two lesbian women, he could claim “unlawful direct discrimination by association because of sexual orientation”.

Sal Miah assumed police would commend him for catching the young criminals.

But when officers arrived, they arrested 35-year-old Mr Miah on suspicion of assault and battery.

‘The system is a joke. How can a man who tries to prevent a crime in progress end up being the criminal?

‘People are living in fear of these kind of yobs but when you do take a stand and try and defend your home or your business you end up in trouble.

Bird causes traffic chaos in London after resisting multiple rescue attempts. something different

Yeah, I’ll get back to my usual bitching later I guess. It’s become my natural state seeing things the way they are. But this tickled the funny bone although I doubt others in traffic thought it funny. Mean birds too when they wanna be.

No, I’m not going to swan off! Bird causes traffic chaos in London after resisting multiple rescue attempts

By Daily Mail Reporter

As excuses go, it sounds unlikely - ‘Sorry I’m late, I got held up by a swan’.

But that’s what happened to these drivers after the bird decided to settle down in the middle of a bridge over the Thames.

There was traffic chaos for more than an hour as the creature resisted all attempts to shoo it out of the way.image

It had been seen waddling over Kew Bridge in South-West London before sitting down for a rest, forcing police to hold up the traffic and carefully direct cars around it.

An onlooker said: ‘I was very impressed with the way the police cared about the safety of that swan.

‘After one hour the swan managed to fly away and the traffic went back to normal and the police reopened the road.

Swaaaneee, how I love ya,how I love ya my dear old ..?  Ah sorry for that.  Here’s the source and more.

Just for the hell of it even if I don’t understand the need.

I think they look fine and I guess this is an after the boob-job photo. The paper didn’t publish any before shots.

Anyway, why do women do this?  I guess it’s strictly a female thing and if it makes em feel better about themselves, well heck. Go for it.
I just liked their looks and felt like posting them.  But golly, £4,800. Each.  That’s a pile of dollars.  I had no clue or if I had I forgot about it, just how costly this sort of thing is.  I think they should have spent it on computers and cars.  Shows how different women heaven bless em, are.
Example.  A guy with brother wins a lotto.  Kinda doubt he’d be willing to pay for those (cough, cough) male enlargements I’ve heard about.  Guy wouldn’t even discuss that sort of thing. Would we?  Just a though.  Oh yeah, another thought worth nothing.  Just when was it that women became convinced they needed bigger boobs?  And who convinced them? Was it a change in the culture, or had women always had this subject topmost in their minds but never discussed openly?

This isn’t a bad article actually.  Human interest for a change before getting back to the usual.

from the, I guess it had to happen dept.  A newspaper apologizes for muslim hurt feelings

Thing of it is, betcha the ones making the fuss to begin with were just making all that supposed outrage up.  Just another excuse and we all know it.

I meant to post this days ago. Got caught up in things elsewhere.  Shows ya how small those vermin are making our world tho.

Danish paper apologises for printing Muhammad cartoon

A Danish newspaper has apologised for any offence caused when it reprinted a cartoon depicting the Prophet Muhammad with a bomb-shaped turban in 2008.

Politiken said it was apologising as part of a settlement with Muslim groups in the Middle East and Australia.

Other Danish newspapers criticised Politiken for its move.

Twelve cartoons of Muhammad were initially published in 2006, sparking widespread protests by Muslims in various countries.

Politiken - and other papers - republished one in 2008 when police uncovered an alleged plot to kill cartoonist Kurt Westergaard.

Editor-in-chief Toeger Seidenfaden said on Friday: “We apologise to anyone who was offended by our decision to reprint the cartoon drawing.”

He told the Associated Press (AP) news agency that the paper still had the right to publish.
“We have the right to print Kurt Westergaard’s drawings, we have the right to print the original 12 drawings, we have the right to print all the caricatures in the world,” he said.

“We apologise for the offence which the reprint has caused. That is what we apologise for.”

this is from another newspaper in Denmark, the one that originally published the cartoons.

AUTHORITIES FIND SOFT PENALTIES PRODUCE MORE CRIME. ? YA DON’T SAY. WHO’DA GUESSED?

In a comment on another post Rich K said this is a Bizzaro world. Yeah. It most definitely is that.

For example, all sorts of ppl are holding all sorts of events in aid for Haiti. Kate Moss broke down in tears and couldn’t contain herself as a dress she had that was designed by that fellow who recently topped himself, sold at auction for Haiti aid for, £100,000.  You can work out the dollar amount. $1.54 to the £1.00. For a dress.  It was bought by her business partner.  At least I think he is.  I’m pretty certain he is.  I wonder if he’ll return it to her. ??

Then, there there was this.

David Walliams and James Corden kiss to raise money for Haiti earthquake victims at Naomi Campbell’s Fashion for Relief show.

Two guys mouth to mouth to raise money?  The photo was stomach churning. Disgusting, no kidding. Who gives to a charity just coz two loony tunes do that?

If a cause is worthy, why would it take two guys doing disgusting things to induce someone to donate? And even on a scale that doesn’t involve the bizarre or sickening, why would someone riding a bike or walking or running for some charity, induce anyone to give anything?  I read about silly make up the event to raise money in the local weekly amateur paper.  Bobby Jones age 11 walks two miles for ,,,, (pick a charity).  Alice Smith rides her bike for Haiti aid.
It always seems so artificial. Maybe it’s just me but I think those events are a bit stagey and dumb.

And then we have ...... ta-da BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

Young criminals who escape with soft community punishments such as building bird boxes go on to commit more than 100,000 extra crimes each year, figures show.

By Tom Whitehead, Home Affairs Editor

Juvenile offenders handed community-based penalties instead of custody were responsible for more than 650,000 further offences over just six years.

It meant teenage and child criminals who were dealt with lightly for one offence then accounted for one in every 50 of the 33 million crimes recorded by police between 2002 and early 2008.

The “Making Good” programme has already seen young criminals being left to build bird boxes or make badges as part of their “punishment”.

Activities under other schemes have previously included creating costumes for the Notting Hill carnival.

Analysis by the Conservatives on MoJ reoffending figures estimates some 667,073 crimes were committed by children aged ten to 17 who had previously been given a community-based punishment.

Europeans resist Obama on Gitmo prisoners.

I’ve done a bit of chopping here at a site of German origin.  Pretty interesting I think.  Europeans been on us (USA) to close Gitmo like it’s their damn business. So ok, bad move I think but Barry says he’ll close. Any takers for the prisoners?  Uh huh.  Right.  Some lip service maybe.

Trans-Atlantic Relations

Europeans still resisting Obama over Guantanamo inmates

European countries on the whole are still reluctant to take in detainees from Guantanamo Bay despite the best persuasive efforts of the United States. While some have grudgingly agreed to help, others still resist.

One of the major obstacles in finally closing the book on the military prison in Cuba is the White House’s struggle to convince foreign governments to accept detainees.

Obama had promised to close the facility during his first year in office but that deadline passed in January. At the time of the deadline passing, 192 detainees remained at the much-criticized camp, with fewer than 50 inmates having left Cuba since Obama took office.

While canvassing for host nations has been worldwide, the Obama administration has specifically concentrated its powers of persuasion on its allies in Europe. However, Obama has yet to charm many in Europe into accepting detainees.

the US says it would be really grateful if the Europeans help, and on the other it says, ‘well, you told us to sort out this mess, now help us to sort it out’. Mostly the Americans are making it very clear that any help will be much appreciated.”

Despite being given the chance to curry favor with Washington, European governments on the whole are reluctant to help, although some have grudgingly pledged to assist. Some of those who have agreed to take in Guantanamo detainees have preferred not to advertise the fact.

Neighbours fight plan to surround £60m estate with four mile wall.

Here’s an interesting exercise. Arab spends millions on a property. Never mind Arab. Anyone who spends that much to buy a property should at least in theory have the right to fence it off.  Yes?  But here we’re talking about a very different kind of setting.  Should that make any difference?

A court has approved the building of a wall around the property by an Arab royal, for security.  However, folks living in the area and even one who has lived there lifelong, say NO.  So they are appealing.

One report said the wall would be seven feet high, but another said six feet. Wish they’d get together and agree on a figure so ppl reading the supposed “facts” would get at least that much straight.

Take a look at the photo. That’s one big wall anyway.

I feel sorry for the folks in the area who will lose a nice view.  I suspect however that anyone with the money to buy and renovate the mansion would want a wall for security as well as privacy.  Especially in these times.

Great Wall of Windsor: Neighbours fight plan to surround £60m estate

By Nick Collins

Ascot Place, which boasts an 18th century mansion surrounded by immaculate parkland, is set in unspoilt countryside just minutes from Windsor Great Park and Berkshire Polo Club.

But residents whose gardens back on to the estate say the beautiful views could be spoilt after plans by the land’s Arab owner to build a four mile long wall around the entire estate were approved by local authorities.

image

The property was bought for £19 million in 1989 by the ruler of Abu Dhabi, and is to be brought back into active use as one of the private residences of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the head of the royal family.

Last year, Bracknell Forest Borough Council granted permission for the wall to be erected around the grade II listed property for security purposes.

But a solicitor, whose garden faces onto the estate, has won the right to challenge the council’s decision at the High Court after arguing that the development – dubbed the “great wall of Windsor” – should be blocked.

Abigail Zoe Lewis, 32, from Winkfield, Berkshire, argued at London’s High Court that the wall would be too near to listed buildings, and was given permission to take her case to a full judicial review.

Mr Justice Irwin said her submission was “just arguable”, but added the scheme was not subject to normal planning application notifications, because it was an application for a lawful development certificate, not planning consent.

He acknowledged that plans for a “structure of this size” could have a “really major impact on the environment of those who live in such a place as this”.

Speaking outside court after the ruling, Miss Lewis, who has lived in the hamlet of Winkfield since she was five, said: “There is a genuine concern in the village that the wall would be so vast.

“The estate is lovely and, as you are driving along the roads next to it, you can see swathes of valleys. Instead of seeing that, if the scheme goes ahead, you will just see a brick wall.”

Lawyers representing the council argued that Miss Lewis had left it too late to bring her application, and that the proposed wall was a lawful development.

Germany gets to call the shots in Greece ….. which is what LyndonB said days ago …

I’m not sure about German and the word ‘shots’ in the same line tho.

This was the official Telegraph line this morning on their editorial page.
Interesting stuff.

it has never been more comforting to be outside this particular club.

Germany gets to call the shots in Greece

It has never been more comforting to be outside the euro.

By Telegraph View

Those who imagined that Greece would be allowed to go to the wall, or that the Washington-based International Monetary Fund would be called in to finance its rescue, ignored the self-regard of the European elites, and their global ambitions for their currency. Although the details of the rescue plan agreed yesterday are still nebulous, what is clear is that Greece will be supported by its partners in the eurozone - but only in return for the imposition of a real austerity package, rather than the milk-and-water measures proposed by the Papandreou government.

This act of economic imperialism - how else to describe the supervision of a country’s economy by an outside authority? - will have sweeping ramifications. It is, of course, in flagrant breach of the Maastricht Treaty. But ever since the single currency was created, its rules have been more honoured in the breach than the observance (especially in the fudging of the entrance criteria, which laid the foundations for this crisis). Yet far from weakening the eurozone, these events will give added momentum to the federalist cause. The very act of coming together to save one of the weaker brethren transforms the dynamics of monetary union as, to oversee the rescue, a central treasury function will have to emerge.

How will the Greeks react to an austerity package imposed from Berlin?

READ THE REST HERE

This act of economic imperialism - how else to describe the supervision of a country’s economy by an outside authority? - will have sweeping ramifications.

In fact, I believe this is exactly what happened to Germany in the 1920s. If not this then something very, very close to it.

That has to be very scary to see your car driven off and your baby is still inside. Fortunately a happy ending as babe is safe but read on.

Police handed me a £150 bill to get Vauxhall back after carjacker drove off with my daughter

By Chris Brooke
09th February 2010

A mother had to pay £150 to recover her car from a police compound.

But Sarah McDonald- Lee hadn’t been parked illegally and there was nothing wrong with her car.

Her ‘crime’ was to see her little daughter being driven away at high speed during a carjacking.

Fortunately three-year-old Sophie and the car were traced within 20 minutes - and Mrs McDonald-Lee has nothing but praise for how officers handled the terrifying incident.

But her relief and joy has turned to anger. After the Vauxhall Zafira was towed away for forensic examination a terse letter arrived from the recovery firm hired by Nottinghamshire Police.

It said Mrs McDonald-Lee had to pay £150 to get her car back because it had been ‘abandoned’. It also warned she could be charged £20-a-day storage.

SEE HOW IT ENDS HERE

THEN THERE IS THIS LETTER TO THE EDITOR AFTER THAT STORY APPEARED. Heaven forbid the Mail should have a letters page on line. If they do I can’t find it and so no link for source to the letter below.  I haven’t copied the entire letter. Just too much for me tonight. But you get the picture.

DAYLIGHT ROBBERY
Why is it police policy to charge car owners exorbitant fees to recover their stolen vehicles? (Mail)

When my son had his car stolen, the police found it an hour later. It had been stolen by a teenager and smashed beyond repair.
The police towed the car away for forensic purposes and then contacted my son and told him he had to pay for it to be taken away or pay a daily charge for storage.
The police wanted to carry out tests and took it to their garage, but it’s the owner who has to pay.

BREAKING NEWS

JOHN MURTHA IS DEAD

Heart attack the news people said. More details to follow.

Pennsylvania Democratic Rep. John Murtha, the first veteran of the Vietnam war and one of the most powerful lawmakers in Congress, died Wednesday morning at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA, after complications from gallbladder surgery. Murtha was 77.

A native of New Martinsville, W.Va., voters elected first elected Murtha to Congress in a 1974 special election that spelled impending doom for President Nixon and congressional Republicans. That fall, Democrats wrestled away 49 House seats from the GOP, reeling from the scourge of Watergate and a presidency in shambles.

Murtha rose to become the chairman of the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee that controls spending for the Pentagon. Chairs of the appropriations subcommittee panels are viewed with such prestige on Capitol Hill that they’re called “cardinals.” That’s a nod to Rome because of the eminence these lawmakers hold over spending for their federal fiefdom.

Murtha was also the endorsed candidate of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to become majority leader when Democrats won control of Congress in 2006. But current House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) overwhelmingly defeated Murtha by secret ballot in a hard-fought leadership contest

TV news says he died at 1:18pm.

UPDATE: It wasn’t a heart attack, it was septicemia. They nicked his intestine during surgery ( wonder if the doc got his start as a Marine “corps"-man? ) and internal poisoning took it’s toll. It was a slow grim death.

WASHINGTON—A Pennsylvania congressman and longtime friend of the late Rep. John Murtha said late Monday the congressman’s large intestine was damaged during gallbladder surgery and the complications led him to be hospitalized.

The Pennsylvania Democrat died at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Va., where he was admitted on Jan. 31. The gallbladder surgery was performed days earlier at the National Naval Medical Center, in Bethesda, Md., which didn’t immediately return messages seeking comment.

Rep. Bob Brady said an infection developed and that Murtha had a fever when he was admitted to the Virginia hospital.

Karma has no mercy.

Just how insane does a place have to be, to allow this sort of thing for so long?

When a state makes things easy to get away with, people I guess will try.
This shit faced no good bum should have been taken out long ago.  What’s wrong with ppl? Not one person tried to maim or kill the bastard.
The result of course is that he goes from victim to victim.  And of course if the powers that be write laws that are so easily taken advantage of, rats like this one will do exactly that.  Before anyone tries to tell me that two wrongs do not make a right, Oh YES they do.  In fact, I don’t see or understand why taking out this guy would classify as a wrong. Seems to me it would come under a heading like, Public Service.

Serial claimant’s bonanza from ‘ageist’ job ads

By: Robert Watts
The Times

A SERIAL litigant is believed to have earned thousands of pounds by bombarding employers with claims of ageism simply because they used the words “school leaver” or “recent graduate” in job advertisements.

image

John Berry, 54, has initiated actions against at least 60 firms over three years even though he does not apply for the jobs. He uses the government’s tribunal service website to lodge age discrimination claims against recruitment agencies and other businesses.

Lawyers say they have complained to the Ministry of Justice that the online system — which allows numerous actions to be lodged free and with minimal evidence — needs changing.

Once the firm becomes aware of the action, Berry emails his targets to warn them they can avoid an employment tribunal only by making him a “settlement” payment of up to £3,500.

One small trader said: “I am not prepared to be bullied by this man. I cannot afford to pay him. We’re in a recession and I am struggling to keep the business afloat.”

To encourage companies to settle, Berry usually opts to hold the tribunal far away from where the business is based.

He made a similar claim of age discrimination against a woman running a small business in the Midlands last year. He demanded £2,500, but lowered his price by £1,000 after she wrote back saying it would leave her struggling to pay her mortgage or feed her family.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
