One Pirate Shot Dead, Six Captured While Attacking Cargo Ship Off Somalia

OK so, one vermin dead, good. Six arrested. Bad.  Why not throw them overboard tied to chains? Why bother arresting the scum?

I notice that someone has already suggested that now the pirate vermin may become more violent as a result.  So then what is the solution? Talking?

Kudos to the guards even though they only managed to nail one.

One Pirate Shot Dead, Six Captured While Attacking Cargo Ship Off Somalia

A spokesman for the EU Naval Force (NavFor) said the suspect was found dead by a team from an EU warship responding to a distress call from the cargo ship.

The death comes amid fears that increasingly aggressive pirates and the growing use of armed private security contractors on board vessels could fuel increased violence on the high seas. The handling of the case may have legal implications beyond the individuals involved in Tuesday’s shooting.

The guards were onboard the MV Almezaan when a pirate group approached it twice, said Cmdr John Harbour, the NavFor spokesman. During the second approach on the Panamanian-flagged cargo ship which is United Arab Emirates owned, there was an exchange of fire between the guards and the pirates.

Crews are becoming increasingly adept at repelling attacks by pirates in the dangerous waters of the Indian Ocean and Gulf of Aden. But pirates are becoming more aggressive in response, shooting bullets and rocket-propelled grenades at ships to try to intimidate captains into stopping.

Several organisations, including the International Maritime Bureau, have expressed fears that the use of armed security contractors could encourage pirates to be more violent when taking a ship. Sailors have been hurt or killed before but this generally happens by accident or through poor health. There has only been one known execution of a hostage despite dozens of pirate hijackings.

International navies have killed about a dozen pirates over the past year, said Harbour. Hundreds more are believed to have died at sea.

I can see clearly now

Did my first window job of the season today. It was March this morning alright. Two pair of pants, a sweater and two jackets, all the way up on the ladder while the wind was whipping around. Hug that building! The sun came out later and the wind died down, and it turned out to be a nice day.

Looks like about 2 loads of laundry to clean up all the dirty rags. And dirty is right. Folks have those removable screens and they just collect dirt underneath and on the sill. Collect? Forget that. They’re little compost heaps, and the dirt turns into fresh soil.

I can always tell when people have cats. No, not the litter pan aroma, or the little furry toys you see lying around the house in unusual places. No, I can tell because of the windows. Cat nose prints about 9” up the glass on nearly every window with a sill inside. Little bitty kitty boogers stuck to the glass. And groups of paw prints around the top center of the lower sash if they happen to have window shades with those pulls on strings. Cats can’t resist them ever.

So I did a real nice job, and did a bit of double cleaning on several of the bigger sheets of glass. Not too much scraping, but I had to stop and dissolve a number of stickers and the glue they leave behind. That slows me down.

That Perfect Glass stuff works really well as a final cleaner. Works pretty well as a primary cleaner too most of the time; this house had skylights on either side of the roof right next the the fireplace chimney. Can you say soot build up? Oy. Filth. “You went up on the roof and cleaned those? I don’t think they’ve ever been cleaned before!” No kidding. They’re clean now. Took 3 applications of Perfect Glass after a thorough scrub and squeegee with my regular window mix. Blackened the scrubber, a firm bristle scrub brush, 3 rags and a microfiber cloth. Per skylight. But the glass is brilliant. Until the next rain, party of birds, or “let’s have a fire tonight” event.

Now off to do my Sunday afternoon cleaning, delayed several days. They don’t care, as long as it gets done once a week.

HOW TO COOK IN ENGLAND. or, THE RIGHT WAY TO WATCH A COOKING SHOW.

Another one of those hadn’t planned on this posts.  I don’t know anything about cooking and don’t have a TV and more then likely wouldn’t watch anyway. BUT, there are exceptions.  There’s always those, and Sophie is one of em.

It also occurs to me that Drew enjoys being creative with food and while this is not a cooking class I thought it might be fun to post a good looking would be chef.

I should explain btw, Jan Moir can be a bit catty quite often.  Especially (as I see it) with regard to good looking sexy women. Maybe I’m being unfair. Here she exposes some fakery in the bakery?  There ya go. Poetry.  Alright, maybe not. But Sophie is. Sophie Dahl

The Nigella mentioned here is Nigella Lawson, another cook.  She’s pretty I guess. Yeah, she is.  Here’s Sophie’s cookery competition.

image

I haven’t posted the entire article but even for us non cookery type folks, it makes for a fun read.

Hold the sauce! She’s the pouting 6ft ex-model trying to dethrone Nigella. But Jan Moir finds Sophie Dahl’s new TV show hard to swallow

image

Can Sophie Dahl cut the mustard as the new Nigella? On the first of her new cookery shows, the former supermodel couldn’t even cut the bread properly. In fact, until Sophie took a knife to her loaf of sourdough, it hadn’t occurred to me that there is a right way and a wrong way to slice bread to make bruschetta.

Yet Sophie somehow contrives to do it the wrong way, meaning that she’s toast at toast.

This does not exactly bode well for her nascent career as a television cook.

Last night, BBC2 broadcast the first of six cookery shows entitled The Delicious Miss Dahl, in a bid to launch the ravishing, 6ft blonde as a culinary star.

Already, the format seems to suggest that each half-hour program , themed around a different emotion every week, offers little more than a souffle of twice-baked Nigella, with sauce on the side.

Another one to think about

The US Constitution defines the federal government and specifically limits it’s powers. Not rights - no government has rights, only powers.

The federal government has the power to regulate interstate commerce.

The federal government has NO right, NO power to regulate in-state commerce.

All health insurance in the US is state based. You can not live in Alabama and buy your health insurance from Wyoming.

Whatever else it is, Obamacare is a raw power grab against State’s Rights. [granted that term is improper but it is convenient] Tyrannical.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

To the best of my knowledge, no state has held a vote with it’s citizens, or run a bill through it’s legislature, that abrogated their own power to regulate the health insurance industry within their state. And if no state has done this, then certainly not two thirds of the states have done this, or whatever the necessary number to willingly surrender that power.

Thus the efforts of the past 14 months were a total waste of time. The law is unconstitutional. Utterly.

“Yeah”, some will say, “but there are plenty of other branches of the federal government that aren’t specifically constitutional, and they’ve been around for a long time.” The Department of Education is one of those.

A good reply to that ... a man rapes your daughter and gets away with it. A while later he comes back and rapes her again, and again gets away with it. Do you invite him back for thirds? After all, he’s been doing it for some time now, so that makes it Ok, right? Arguing for the “greater good” falls flat: you can’t break the rules some of the time because it’s convenient.

Side point - had the Republicans been able to push through their version, which seemed to be the Ann Coulter solution [letting you buy insurance from any state; a free market], then the federal government WOULD have the power to create Obamacare and thus regulate interstate commerce. Saint Ann is not always right.

Sider point - “Obama, the constitutional scholar/professor”. Yeah right, says who? Show me ONE PERSON who took his class. Show me the notes, the exams, the syllabus. It’s BS. The only studying of that sacrosanct document Odingus ever did was to look for ways to subvert it. Him and his little chrony-pony Slaughter.

Sidest point - No kudos whatsoever for the Republican legislators who introduced an alternate bill. That they didn’t immediately rail against the constitutionality of the whole concept shows you just how corrupt and poorly qualified they are. Get them all out, period. Votes or torches, whatever works.

Here’s one to think about.  The law is the law. Read the story, use the link and see comments there.

So then BMEWS. What do you think on this subject?  Was she right? Does she really have that right, being a public business, even if it is her home. ??

If discrimination is against the law, and it is, then she broke it. Maybe she can’t say it out loud but when she saw these two creeps, maybe her stomach turned and she just didn’t want them. Whatever.  Someone in comments at the Mail where i found this, has an interesting observation.  He says that being her home doesn’t exempt her from the other rules and safety/fire regs. She can’t say no I won’t install fire alarms or safety devices because it’s also my private home. So therefore, she can’t discriminate against a couple of really disgusting GAK inducing homos.  It figures and is no surprise that the creeps and scum making calls and threatening her and her family over this are so busy insuring their right to IMPOSE themselves on someone who clearly doesn’t want them.  I’d be willing to bet money that not all those calls and threats are even coming from the homosexual community. Some surely are of course. Nope.  I’d bet that the majority of them are threats and calls from those wonderful umin rights campaigners who are outraged and insulted on behalf of the homosexuals. And we know they really aren’t insulted at all.  They just live to have a cause to be outraged over. Otherwise, they have no life.  And I wish they didn’t.

We’ve been vilified for turning away gays queers, say Christian B&B couple

By Daily Mail Reporter

A Christian bed-and-breakfast owner is facing legal action for breaching discrimination laws after turning away a gayreally weird couple.

image

Susanne Wilkinson said it was ‘against her convictions’ to let the couple share a double bed in the home where she lives with her husband and children.

But she was reported to police after refusing a room to Michael Black, 62, and John Morgan, 56.

And her stand attracted a furious response from gayhomosexual rights campaigners.

Last night the Wilkinsons, who are in their 50s, were under siege from abusive phone calls, text messages and emails.

Among the messages was a threat to burn down their home in the quiet village of Cookham, Berkshire.

The incident unfolded on Friday when exams consultant Mr Black and Liberal Democrat councillor Mr Morgan arrived at the £75-a-night bed and breakfast following a theatre trip.

Mrs Wilkinson admitted she had made assumptions in expecting a man and a woman when she took a booking from a Mr Black. She said she invited the men in before explaining ‘courteously’ why she could not offer them the room.

She insisted she was not homophobic and would have offered two single rooms, but the guest house was fully booked.

Her husband Francis, a former City worker, said it was a question of living by their faith.

‘We live according to our values and our Christian beliefs. We are not homophobic,’ he said.

‘Of course everybody has the freedom to live as they choose but we feel that in our own home we have every right to say no to something we don’t agree with.’

Defending his wife, he said she would have explained the situation ‘gently’. ‘We are sorry for the distress that was caused to them,’ he added.

‘If they had gone to a hotel I think it would probably be different, but this is my house, we live here with our children - it’s our home that’s the difference.’

WITH APOLOGIES TO MY BRIT FRIENDS BUT, WHEN IT COMES TO THIS SORT OF CRAP …..

If this sort of total bullshit isn’t stopped pretty damn soon, you really are well and truly doomed.
I am beyond anger or frustration with this kind of thing.  On the other hand, to give em left handed credit, the mus-slimes did carry signs saying to hell with freedom and hell to freedom of speech.  Which at that time they were themselves enjoying. Of course, THEY define what is and isn’t to be free I guess.

Imagine being “quizzed by the fuzz for saying this. But damn it, it is true.  I’m not upset with the police who after all must by the shit-ridden laws passed by the commie-sars in charge here, respond to complaints.  The fault isn’t theirs.  As for these hand wringing asswipes who wrap themselves in a flag of Human Rights, every single one with NO exceptions should be taken out.  It’s wet work sure but there are lots of patriots I’m sure who would be happy to volunteer to do the GOOD deed that needed doing.

Oh .. I almost forgot but this story just reminded me.  I have some good news to pass on. It’s a week old but better late then ....

A human rights lawyer was stabbed at his home about ten days ago. He bled to death.  I for one am very happy about that.  When I heard the story I couldn’t help but think, YES!  MORE-MORE.  ENCORE!

Some may regard that as somewhat extreme.  If you do, then you haven’t learned to hate enough. These slime are having a field day and have for years and look where its brought us.  I say we are all much better off with ALL of them graveyard dead.  If not all, then enough to discourage their followers. Alas, the west has no fist of steel. And no stomach for the job and the other side knows that.  That is why they are winning.

Please note, I am speaking strictly for myself. That’s my personal take on our world and the way I see it headed. All politically correct and social engineered and run by civil/human rights leftist bastards who enjoy the power and telling others how and what to think. Well screw em!

MP quizzed by police after saying ‘wearing burkha was like having paper bag over your head’

By Daily Mail Reporter

An MP was investigated by police for inciting racial hatred over controversial comments about the burkha following complaints from a human rights association.

Conservative MP Philip Hollobone said wearing the garment was the religious equivalent of ‘going round with a paper bag over your head’.

During a parliamentary debate last month he urged the House of Commons to ‘seriously consider’ banning the garment.

Now it has emerged police received a complaint about the Kettering MP a few days after his comments from the Northamptonshire Rights and Equality Council (NREC).

Officers rang Mr Hollobone to say a complaint had been made but the Crown Prosecution Service dropped the case a few days later as there were no grounds for prosecution.

Debates in Westminster are protected by parliamentary privilege but Mr Hollobone said the complaint could have related to comments made inside or outside the Commons.

He criticised the ‘hypocritical and ‘patronising’ NREC today for championing freedom of speech while attempting to have him prosecuted.

Last month the organisation sent the outspoken MP a letter criticising his stance on Muslim women who chose to wear the burkha in public.

Mr Hollobone said: ‘It’s complete hypocrisy. They talk on one hand about freedom of speech and expression and then without even making contact try to get me prosecuted.

‘In this country you should be able to have a debate about controversial subjects without the threat of police action. That’s how democracy works.

‘I am not going to be silenced by the threat of prosecution when all I am doing is speaking out about the concerns of my constituents.

‘If this had gone to court I would have defended myself.

‘I don’t blame the police at all, they are obliged to investigate reports of crime. That’s their job. But I am disgusted that the NREC should seek an MP’s prosecution.

‘I have been in correspondence with them and offered to meet representatives of local Muslim groups but that invitation is still outstanding.

‘The issue here is the covering of ones face in public. The nihab and the burkha are not legal requirements.

‘There are large numbers if immigrant women who will not be able to integrate into the British way of life if they cover themselves up.’

On March 11 Mr Hollobone used another Commons’ debate to mark International Women’s Day to reiterate his views on the burkha.

He said: ‘This is Britain. We are not a Muslim country. Covering your face in public is strange and to many people both intimidating and offensive.’ Burkhas are worn by an estimated 100,000 of the 2.4million Muslims in the UK.

Northamptonshire Police said the complaints related to comments made at the beginning of February in Parliament, although he also expanded on them in a local newspaper.

A police spokesman said: ‘It was brought to our attention and we looked into it but the CPS decided there was no case to answer here.’

Obama puts his signature on historic health care reform bill as 11-year-old Marcellus Owens, who lost his mother because she didn’t have health insurance, looks on.

This is a terribly sad day for America.

The stupid lead by the selfish. Believers in math-o-magic, the endless money tree, and rainbow shitting hopenchange fairy unicorns.

It can’t work. It won’t work. It will destroy the economy in so many ways, and give the government tyrannical powers. The government that controls your health controls your life.

Which is exactly what the communist in charge wants. Welcome to serfdom. Way to go 52ers. You stupid fucking cunts.

Guy leaves house, forgets wallet, goes back to get it and finds immigrant family has moved in.

I would not be posting this lunacy today had it not been for another story I let pass more then a month ago on the same subject.  Seems this sort of thing happens so often, and if not this exact example then ones mighty close, that I ignored the article.  I guess I got a bit tired of posting of the happenings of Travelers and Romanian Gips.

What happened in the other story was the same but a larger family.  A couple went off on a two week holiday and returned to find their home being lived in and the locks changed.  Imagine that.  Yeah.  The Romas who were in occupation, with some not even speaking English, made the claim that they bought the property from some big black guy they met at McDonalds, and who told them it was for sale. Funny how nobody seems to think of blaming Jewish accountants but I guess blacks will do as well. Anyway, whatever paper they had wasn’t worth, well, the paper it was badly wrote on.
(ok, written on.)

There was trash collecting in the front yard including the possessions of the couple.  So I skipped that story. And yes, they got their home back which also was damaged. It’s there so take it. Why not? There aren’t any real consequences. There isn’t any retribution as there might be in say one of America’s gun carrying states. Hmmm. Ya know, guns could be one reason why this sort of thing just doesn’t happen back home.  Outside of home invasion robberies of the unarmed.

I do believe some short time ago LyndonB did say that with the eu and the right of member state citizens to go wherever they wanted to go, that there would be an increase in this sort of thing. Sure seems like it.

So here we are .... and after seeing this one I could not help but wonder if maybe by chance the Germans weren’t right at least about this one group if nothing else. Short of making them null and void, they will merely increase their number, just like the muzzies, and continue causing problems for folks who then have to deal with their behavior. Just like that other group. Hmmm. Null and void.  Yeah. Has a certain ring to it.

Man returns home for wallet and finds squatters.

A man who returned to his house in Northampton because he forgot his wallet found a homeless Romanian couple and their child attempting to move in.

The victim, who lives in a two bedroom house in Southfields, discovered Mihai and Laura Dediu moving his belongings.

He called the police and the Romanians were arrested.

They said they had been told they could squat in the house but at Northampton Crown Court admitted criminal damage and were given community orders.

Sentencing them to 12-month orders and 100 hours unpaid work, Judge Richard Bray said it appeared the country was going back to Dickensian times.

The Romanian couple, who do not speak English, told police through an interpreter they thought the house had been empty for some time and they could squat there.

The court heard the man left his home on the afternoon of 7 December 2009, but returned shortly afterwards because he forgot his wallet.

On his return he discovered the couple had forced their way in.

‘Bizarre case’

Judge Richard Bray said: “The owner comes back and there’s an unknown car parked in his drive and the lights to the house are on.

“He goes in and finds these two defendants and a young child. We are going back to Dickensian times it appears.

“This is a bizarre case. In 26 years I cannot remember burglars taking a young child with them to carry out a burglary.”

Mihai Dediu, 30, and his wife Laura, 24, now of Great Gull Crescent, Southfields, pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage to the locks and windows.

A burglary charge was dropped.

Ben Gow, defending, said the couple had been told by a man they met in a shop that they could live at the address.

Another man met in a shop?  Boy.  These guys do get around.  Or this group of ppl have been trained before coming here. Ya think?

A global plague and it isn’t warming or climate change. It’s immigration with the west the losers.

A day late but no less interesting.

It isn’t funny, it’s the possible future at the rate these life forms breed.  There are I am certain some very good ones among them. Unfortunately, way too many are intimated, and who can blame them for feeling fear.  The militants are less then animals, hardly human at all and in fact I deny their humanity entirely.  Their so called ‘honor killings’ are beyond outrageous but it’s one one many things the all too many militants would clearly love to enforce throughout the west.

Know your enemy folks.

Hijab Bullies Unveil Their Aggression

Islamist Watch Blog 22 March 2010
By David J. Rusin

For some Islamists, freedom to wear Muslim attire is not enough; they also demand that others conform to their definition of modesty. IW refers to them as “hijab bullies,” though their focus is not necessarily limited to headscarves. Examples highlighted previously on this blog include a British dentist requiring patients to cover their hair and a teacher in Norway manipulating first graders into donning hijabs. However, these tactics are tame compared to recent revelations.

Consider the experiences of Shiria Khatun, a secular Muslim who serves as a Labour Party councilor in Tower Hamlets, a borough of London and an Islamist stronghold. Police are investigating claims of harassment by locals objecting to her style of dress. She explains:

They’re really disgusting. They would talk about my Western clothes, my tight jeans, and my body parts.

One man said — and it sounds much nastier in [the Bangladeshi dialect] Sylheti — “I know where you live and I’m going to come and show you and your kids.” I just hung up.

I really thought it was a pervert, but then it started to get more intense. My parents died when I was young and the callers must know that because they said they would dig up their graves and bury me inside. I think they’re sick.

Moroccan-born Fatima Ghailan, who works for the government of Cunit, Spain, has had her own run-ins with hijab bullies. Local imam Mohamed Benbrahim and Islamic Association head Abderraman el-Osri now face criminal charges of harassing, slandering, and threatening Ghailan, whose duties as a “cultural mediator” include encouraging “cloistered” Muslim females to participate in the life of the town. As the Washington Post reports, her influence over the community “was something the traditionalists could not accept — particularly because it involved a woman who refused to cover her hair.” The Telegraph elaborates:

In a statement to the court in the nearby town of Vendrells, Mrs. Ghailan, 31, said Benbrahim had harassed her and campaigned to have her removed from her job in the town hall’s cultural department purely because she had a job, dressed in a Western style, drove a car, and associated with non-Muslims.

Finally, self-appointed “morality police” have been patrolling the Muslim-heavy Grønland district of Oslo. According to Aftenposten, women passing through in Western attire can consider themselves lucky if they suffer only “aggressive looks of rebuke, scorn, and contempt.” The unlucky ones are abused by men who “touch their breasts and pinch their bottom, claiming that it’s the girls’ own fault for not covering themselves.” The vigilantes also have taken to tormenting gays and anybody caught snacking on the streets during Ramadan.

Grønland illuminates a vital truth: Islamists may start out as hijab bullies, seeking to enforce dress codes among Muslims. But they do not stop with dress codes — or with Muslims.

Things could be worse. We could be Norway.  And there’s no place to hide

H/T Gates of Vienna

It isn’t just the UK or Germany or France. Is It?  Norway too and there really is almost no where to go and get away from this latest global plague.

Recent reports in the press here also claim (truthfully) that birth rates in the USA are down for Caucasians and your first guess as to whose are higher and growing will likely be the correct one.

Break out those hidden burkas and hijabs.

Norwegians Will Become a Minority in Their Own Country

by Baron Bodissey

There’s a news article in Norway today that says that people who speak Norwegian as mother tongue (Norwegians) may become a minority in Oslo schools by 2021.

Obviously, that’s a mild statement with some political correctness to it. It’s not a matter if it will become like that; it’s just a matter of time. So there is no “may”, just “when”.

Norwegian-speaking students are a minority at 58 elementary schools in Oslo, as shown by the results from a recent study.

During the last five years the number of schools in which Norwegian-speaking students form a minority has increased by 18, from 40 to 58.

In 2000, 31% of the students in Oslo were immigrants.

Today (2010) 40% of the students in Oslo are minorities. The number of non-Norwegian students in Oslo has increased by 1% each year, which means that Norwegians will be a minority in Oslo schools in 2021, if the trend continues.

To stop Norwegians from becoming a minority in Oslo schools, they must stop the immigration at once, send back everyone who can be sent home, and try to make others want to move home. That is what is necessary, whether people like it or not. Without doing that, we can’t stop it.

It’s high time that politicians realize this and grow a spine. But I don’t think they will. None of the politicians will do what’s required — the right wing want to institute a stricter immigration policy, which would obviously be better, but that will just slow the situation, not stop it. Even if they stop immigration entirely, the Muslims will still become more numerous than us because of their birth rate, which shows no sign of decreasing.

I think that the right wing will almost certainly win the election next time (in three years), but it remains to be seen if that will help anything at all. In the long run, I doubt it. I think what is happening in Europe can’t be stopped by politicians, because no politicians are brave and politically incorrect enough to do what must be done, which is to get 80% of the Muslim immigrants out of here.

So I believe the situation will just keep getting worse and worse, until it eventually becomes civil war or at least very violent.

Edited for space but the whole thing is at the source right HERE

my posts on the light side again today ...

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
