Quote Of The Day

imageimage“In Iraq, hope is a fragile thing, but all the more admirable for the courage and sacrifice necessary to nurture it. In Washington, cynicism appears to be the quality most prized by those who accept defeat but not the responsibility for its consequences.

Before I left for Iraq, I watched with regret as the House of Representatives voted to deny our troops the support necessary to carry out their new mission. Democratic leaders smiled and cheered as the last votes were counted.

What were they celebrating? Defeat? Surrender? In Iraq, only our enemies were cheering. A defeat for the United States is a cause for mourning not celebrating.”

-- Senator John McCain, in a speech given at VMI April 11, 2007 --

- Click here to visit the John McCain 2008 Official Campaign Site ...

Of course they’re celebrating defeat and surrender, John. Democrats are reliving 1973 all over again. This is Vietnam, Part II and if they keep harassing the President they may eventually turn it into Watergate, Part II.

Between 1973 and 1976 they managed to bring down a President, take full control of Congress with a strong majority, elect a Democratic retard from Georgia as President, cut off funding to the South Vietnamese and effectively surrender overseas in order to gain victory at home.

It’s as plain as the nose on your face, Senator. Nancy Pelosi has ambitions of becoming the next Tip O’Neill and the Democrats are sticking to the same game plan they used in the 1970’s.

If everything goes as planned Barak Obama will be the next Jimmy Carter and we’re screwed for sure until 2012. Remember Senator ... those who forget the past sins of Democrats are doomed to ... BOHICA.

Confession

image
“Off Color” -by- Cox & Forkum

Don’t you just love the fact that Al Sharpton is leading the Imus lynch squad? There’s a certain appropriateness of course in that Sharpton is America’s most successful racist, having personally incited the lynchings of eight people, not counting the half dozen whose lives were ruined by Tawana Brawley’s lies. All over the country white comedians like Lisa Lampanelli, whose entire show is based on ethnic insults, must be cowering in fear of losing their jobs if they stumble over the wrong joke.

There is clearly no bigger threat to free speech in this country than these racial vigilantes. The whole country is wondering to itself how it’s ok for black comedians to rag on nappy headed hos while Imus must be hung for it. Chris Rock I am sure, is not amused by this circus and I for one can’t wait to see how he deals with it in his next stand up. This is a spectacularly embarrassing moment for black Americans, one of many inflicted on them by Sharpton and Jackson and their misleadership of the so-called civil rights movement.

-- David Horowitz, “The Imus Lynching”

The Nappy Headed Kerfuffle

How much do you want to bet the Jackson/Sharpton Shakedown Machine™ has been manning the phones and e-mails around the clock harassing the sponsors of Imus’ show listed below? I’d be willing to bet $100 the Race-Baiting Telethon has been going full-bore since the minute Imus opened his mouth and was penalized for Practicing Ebonics Without A License (42 USC OU812 §10101, TITLE VI, PART I).

Of course NBC had no choice but to cave in to the niggardly(Reference) demands of protectionist African-Americans who will not tolerate anyone stealing or even borrowing ghetto language for even an instant. May I make a suggestion to the people who were so offended: go have a talk with Chris Rock, David Chappelle, Richard Pryor, Fifty-Cent, Snoop Dawg and others who made language like this popular in the first place.

Come to think of it, I think I have an album around here somewhere by Richard Pryor entitled “That Nigger’s Crazy”. So when is a word a joke and when is it a cause for all-out race war? I just want to know the rules we’re all supposed to be following.

As for MSNBC, they’re about to sacrifice a cash cow on the altar of Political Correctness and their competitor for the morning time slot CNN is laughing all the way to the bank. Perhaps it is time to follow the money trail and investigate what really is behind all this?

MSNBC Drops Imus Simulcast
NEW YORK (MYWAY NEWS) - Apr 11, 10:05 PM (ET)

imageimageMSNBC said Wednesday it will drop its simulcast of the “Imus in the Morning” radio program, responding to growing outrage about the radio host’s racial slur against the Rutgers women’s basketball team.

“This decision comes as a result of an ongoing review process, which initially included the announcement of a suspension. It also takes into account many conversations with our own employees,” NBC news said in a statement.

The decision does not affect Imus’ nationally syndicated radio show, and the ultimate decision on the fate of that program will rest with executives at CBS Corp. (CBS) In a statement, CBS reiterated that Imus will be suspended without pay for two weeks beginning on Monday, and that CBS Radio “will continue to speak with all concerned parties and monitor the situation closely.”

MSNBC’s action came after a growing list of sponsors - including American Express Co. (AXP), Sprint Nextel Corp. (S), Staples Inc. (SPLS), Procter & Gamble Co. (PG), and General Motors Corp. (GM) - said they were pulling ads from Imus’ show for the indefinite future.

NBC News President Steve Capus (pictured at right) said he made the decision after reading thousands of e-mails and having countless discussions with NBC workers and the public, but he denied the potential loss of advertising dollars had anything to do with it.

“I take no joy in this. It’s not a particularly happy moment, but it needed to happen,” he said. “I can’t ignore the fact that there is a very long list of inappropriate comments, of inappropriate banter, and it has to stop.”

NBC’s decision came at a time when Imus’ program on MSNBC was doing better competitively than it ever has been. For the first three months of the year, its audience was nearly identical to CNN’s, leading CNN to replace its morning news team last week.

Of course since this is Thursday, it must be that time of the week to hear from the love of my life, Ann Coulter. Naturally, dear sweet Ann just can’t resist poking a sharp stick in Al Sharpton’s eye over this kerfuffle. BTW, if you haven’t bought a copy of Ann’s latest book “Godless: The Church Of Liberalism” then you got some serious explainin’ to do. We may even revoke your library card.

Ho Ho Ho, Merry Imus!
--by Ann Coulter
(HUMAN EVENTS ONLINE) - 04/11/2007

imageimageThe only person happier than Larry Birkhead about the big announcement that he is the father of Anna Nicole Smith’s baby is Don Imus. By the way, what’s the word for a woman who gives birth to a child of uncertain paternity?

English speakers in America need a rule book to tell us what people can say what words when, and under which set of circumstances. The rule book will be longer than the Patriot Act and will require weekly updates as new words and circumstances are added. Perhaps a Nasdaq-style ticker would be more efficient.

Depending on which TV show you tune into, what Imus said was wrong because: (1) His show goes out on FCC-regulated airwaves; (2) he regularly interviews people like Sens. John Kerry, John McCain and Joe Biden; (3) he spoke at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner a few years ago; or (4) he’s not black.

Perhaps sensing that such constantly scrolling rules have a whiff of fascism about them, the scowling Miss Grundys of the world think they have hit on the perfect omnibus rule. They instruct us to “be nice.” (There’s a word for the grim Miss Grundys, but apparently I’m not allowed to use it. Sarah Silverman is. This will be all in the rule book.)

The requirement to always “be nice” would be the end of Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle, two of the funniest comedians in America. Let me rephrase that: It would be the end of all humor. Even Bob Hope cruelly implied that Democrats didn’t support the troops when he joked to the troops in Vietnam: “The country is behind you 50 percent.”

At least we’ll still be able to watch the “Charlie Rose” show! Actually, for all anyone knows, Rose is calling women “nappy-headed hos” on TV every night since no one has ever seen his show.

In addition to ending all humor, we’ll lose all political debate. For Americans over 4 years old, people in the public sphere are engaged in serious arguments—over abortion, illegal immigration, how much money the government takes from you, and the pre-eminent battle of our time against Islamic fascists. The “be nice” admonition is the sort of thing stupid girls say when they can’t think of anything substantive to say.

If Imus had called me a “towheaded ho” or Al Sharpton a “nappy-headed ho,” it would be what’s known as “funny.” (And if he called Anna Nicole Smith a “flaxen-headed ho,” it would be “absolutely accurate.") But he attacked the looks and morals of utterly innocent women, who had done nothing to inject themselves into public debate.

Imus should apologize to the Rutgers women—and those women alone—send them flowers, and stop kissing Al Sharpton’s ring.

This wasn’t an insult to all mankind, and certainly not an insult to Al Sharpton. Now, if Imus had called the basketball players “fat, race-baiting black men with clownish hairstyles,” well, then perhaps Sharpton would be owed an apology.

Is That Your Left Or My Left?

Guys, if you’re going into the hospital to have a nut removed, it might be a good idea to take a magic marker and clearly mark the one to be pruned. Otherwise you could be singing soprano for a long time.

shock

VA Removes Wrong Testicle
LOS ANGELES (MILITARY.COM) - April 05, 2007

A U.S. Air Force veteran has filed a federal claim after a healthy testicle was mistakenly removed instead of a potentially cancerous one during an operation. Benjamin Houghton, 47, thought his left testicle, which was atrophied and painful, would be removed last June at a Veterans Administration hospital because there was a chance the testicle could harbor cancer cells.

But doctors removed his right testicle, according to medical records and the claim, which seeks $200,000 for future care and unspecified damages. He still has not had the other testicle removed.

“At first I thought it was a joke,” Houghton told the Los Angeles Times. “Then I was shocked. I told them, ‘What do I do now?’” Houghton, his wife, Monica, and their attorney, Dr. Susan Friery, said they hoped to get the VA’s attention by going public with the situation.

Dr. Dean Norman, chief of staff for the Greater Los Angeles VA system, has formally apologized. “We are making every attempt that we can to care for Mr. Houghton, but it’s in litigation, and that’s all we can tell you,” he said.

The hospital changed practices as a result of the case, he added.

“Changed practices?” I should hope so!

Lost!

Oh, SHIT! Lost again over the last USAF base in CONUS that I ever want to see again. I hate this base. I HATE IT! I HATE IT! This one should be easy for all you SAC-Hounds out there to guess. The building circled in yellow is the “PRIDE Building” and the object circled in red (appropriately) is known as the “Christmas Tree”. How it got that name is not a mystery. There are presents under that tree for any bad little Commies. Ho-Ho-Ho ...

There’s BUFF’s all over the flight line and the countryside around this base is pockmarked with hundreds of large gopher holes covered in blast-proof, hardened concrete that can survive anything short of a direct hit by a nuclear warhead, disguised from above and the “gophers” inside are Minuteman III MRV ICBM’s (Multiple Reentry Vehicle Intercontinental Ballistic Missile - see explanation below pic), each missile capable of wiping out the entire country of Iran in ten seconds flat.

The picture below is the lower flight deck of one of those B-52’s. I could tell you what those buttons, knobs and displays do but then I’d have to shoot you, chop your body up into little pieces, pour JP-4 over the pieces, strike a match and make sure no one sees the smoke.

Bonus Points: this base is located in a peculiar geographic location for a very special reason - at least it was a good reason back in the mid-1950’s. TWENTY POINTS extra if you can tell me what that reason was. Now tell me where I am ....

Quote Of The Day, Part II

imageimage
“It used to be said that politics ends at the water’s edge--that is, that both parties stood in solidarity against foreign foes. Many of today’s Democrats have precisely inverted the meaning of that adage. They stand against Republicans, even if that means standing in solidarity with America’s enemies.”

Mister Bean Goes To War

A few days ago, I posted here that the Brit “hostages” should take the money from the media and run. The Minister of Defense in Britain had given them permission to sell their stories to the media. I had a reason for telling them to sell out and run away.

They screwed up and didn’t grab the money fast enough and now the reason I told them to duck and run is becoming painfully obvious. The Minister Of Defense has withdrawn permission to sell their stories and their fellow mates in the Brit military are laughing their asses off at the whole bunch - and one in particular (see below). Even worse, Emperor Misha jumped all over them and gave them a Royal Fisking™.

The moral of this story: if someone offers you money to tell a story and your boss says you can, tell it, make it short and sweet, grab the money and run away - and for God’s sake don’t start whining about your bloody iPod or Misha will beat you within an inch of your miserable life ... not to mention your mates in the service tying pink ribbons to your bunk. On the Good Ship Lollipop, that is ....

I’m Sorry For Selling My Story, Says Iran Hostage Mr Bean
(THIS-IS-LONDON-UK) - April 11, 2007

imageimageServicemen have rounded on the sailors who sold their stories of being held captive by Iran. A series of messages on forces’ websites ridiculed Arthur Batchelor and Faye Turney, who cashed in after being held prisoner for 13 days.

Today they were forced onto the defensive, with Seaman Batchelor claiming he had got so little money from the deal he could barely afford to pay for a driving test. The 20-year-old’s admission came as Defence Secretary Des Browne admitted his decision to allow the former hostages to sell their stories to the media was wrong, and Conservative leader David Cameron demanded an inquiry into the “calamitous” decision.

Mr Browne said of the controversial move: “Responsibility for that rests with me. I knew about the decision. A note indicating the decision and the anlysis of the regulations that supported that decision came into my office on Thursday and early on Friday afternoon one of my officials took me through that.”

Relatives of soldiers killed in Iraq criticised Mr Browne’s admission and said he should have anticipated the furore the decision caused and called on him to put a blanket ban on all serving military personnel speaking to the press.

Reg Keys, whose son Thomas was one of six members of the Royal Military Police killed by an Iraqi mob in June 2003, said: “I do applaud Des Browne for his honesty in taking responsibility but I don’t accept this phrase ‘with hindsight’. When people use those words it’s seen as failed forethought.”

Seaman Batchelor has also admitted he “let the Royal Navy down” and “disappointed his comrades” by selling his story to the media. He said he would not have accepted the money had he known the MoD would later reverse its decision to allow the hostages to be paid to talk to the press.

Speaking to the Plymouth Evening Herald newspaper, he said: “To be honest, I feel a bit strange about the situation. One minute they’re (the MoD) are telling us we can, and the next they’re saying ‘no more’.”

Seaman Batchelor’s claim that he cried himself to sleep after his Iranian captors likened him to the comedy character Mr Bean made him a laughing stock. One serving soldier posted: “Batchelor didn’t do the reputation of servicemen much good either! Being broken by being called Mr Bean FFS! - that must be on a par with Monty Python’s Spanish Inquisition and the comfy cushions.”

Comments left on unofficial forces’ websites, the Rum Ration and the British Army Rumour Service laid into Ms Turney and Mr Batchelor. Another servicemen says of Mr Batchelor’s complaint that his iPod was stolen by the Iranians: “What I wish to know is why a young lad on a boarding party detail needed to take his iPod? If he listened to The Ride of the Valkyries as he sped towards the target ship, what did he listen to on his trip to Iran?”

In response others on Rum Ration suggest: “Crying by Don McLean, perhaps?, The Beat Surrender, Always Look On The Bright Side Of life? and Onward Christian Soldiers.” Another contributor said of Ms Turney, who sold her story to the Sun: “Made me squirm when she said ‘President of Iran gave me a toy doll for my daughter and am keeping it after the bomb disposal experts cleared it’.

“Believe me dear, the Iranians don’t need to get any more publicity from blowing up you or anyone else ... you’re providing all the publicity for them for free.” Another angry contributor wrote: “They should be expelled from the Armed Forces. Maybe HMS Cornwall could make a series like The Loveboat or be used for Big Brother? The Royal Navy seems intent on becoming a complete laughing-stock.”

Rape!

You have absolutely no freakin’ idea how pissed off this makes me. The taxpayers of this country who will foot the bill for the millions that were spent to prosecute these boys have been raped. The boys themselves who have had their lives wrecked and had to spend time in jail and thousands of dollars in their defense - have also been raped. Duke University has been raped with unending bad media coverage for THIRTEEN MONTHS - with a good bit of assistance from several dozen bigoted faculty members who piled on the boys unjustly. Jesse Jackson even piled on playing his usual race card to assist in the rape. The only person who WASN’T RAPED is the stupid stripper who started it all!

DAMN IT, this is an outrage!

And MIKE NIFANGUL stands there zipping his pants up after raping everyone in order to get re-elected. Nifong, the Duke faculty, Jesse Jackson, the slobbering media - all need a good ass-whuppin’, if not fines and jail time themselves.

The rest of us need a Morning After Pill. DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! cussing

Duke Lacrosse Case Charges to Be Dropped
(ABC NEWS) - April 10, 2007

imageimageThe office of North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper will announce that he is dismissing all charges against three Duke Lacrosse players, ABC News has learned from sources close to the case.

The three players, Reade Seligmann, David Evans and Collin Finnerty, were facing charges of first degree kidnapping and first degree forcible sexual offense. The charges stem from an off-campus party on the night of March 13, 2006.

In the hours after the party, one of two dancers hired to perform for the players claimed she had been violently raped in a bathroom by members of the lacrosse team. The players had also been indicted for first degree rape, but that charge was dismissed on Dec. 22, 2006.

Special prosecutors from the Attorney General’s office took over the case after Durham District Attorney Mike Nifong recused himself in January, citing charges of unethical conduct filed against him by the North Carolina Bar. Since then, Jim Coman and Mary Winstead have examined the case from scratch, interviewing key witnesses and working through reams of evidence.

The reasons that will be cited for the dismissal are not yet known, though the case has been riddled with criticism and colored by controversy since its early months. Defense attorneys released documents showing the accuser changed key details of her story in the weeks and months after the alleged assault.

Legal analysts and forensic experts have criticized what they call a critically flawed photo identification lineup — a lineup that led to the identification and indictment of Evans, Finnerty, Seligmann. No DNA evidence was found matching any lacrosse players with samples from the rape kit, while DNA from unidentified men was found on the accuser’s body and clothing.

On Tuesday, a spokeswoman for the Attorney General confirmed to ABC News that his office had completed its investigation into the Duke lacrosse case. A press conference on the outcome of their inquiry is widely expected sometime this week, though members of that office have not yet revealed a date and time.
