Hawaii Wants To Ban Eating Pussy……

.....cats, that is.  And dogs, too.

Meanwhile, Asians are pissed off.

Cat looks a lot like rabbit after you skin it.  Big dogs look like goats if you lop off the paws and tails.

Of course, the liberal-female-animal lover-mommy-government-loonies are making their voices heard:

Honolulu resident Kim Soiti, who has a dog and two cats, thinks Wakai’s bill should be passed even if there is no evidence that anyone in the state is consuming dog or cat meat.

Sorry, passing laws just to pass laws is typical liberal mentality.  Hey, maybe the legislators can pass a law demanding they pass laws just “for the hell of it.” Dumbassed bitch.

The pussy you save may be your own.

Be careful what you eat in Hawaiin restaurants is all I have to say.

But for those that prefer music with your cat meal, click here. (hat tip: BobF)

I Don’t Like One; Farah The Other

I know, I know, we just had an election and it’s too soon to start talking about ‘08 but we need to or less others will and those others may end up influencing who actually makes it to the ballot.

CPAC just had its meeting and they see a Giuliani/Rice ticket.

So sorry.  Wrong answer.  Giuliani will be an albatross around republican’s heads.  Yeah, he may have been great after 9-11 and may have done some good stuff for NY but he won’t carry the state if he runs against the Hildebeast.  Too much personal baggage plus the fact he is no conservative (RINO comes to mind.) Remember Gore?  He could not carry Tennessee.  He lost.  I much prefer a Rice/Allen ticket.

Joseph Farah, on the pother hand, dislikes the thought of Rice as ‘08 contender-in-chiefette.

His reason:  her position on abortion.  Sorry, Joe, but discarding a candidate for one issue is just wrong. You then take on the appearance of those fringe kooks who won’t vote for candidate “X” because said candidate smokes and they don’t.

Using Mr. Farah’s arguments none of us would have voted for President Bush.

Sure abortion is an important issue but when you look at all the other candidates right now, I am certain SOMETHING is wrong with every one.

And just what can a President who may be for abortion hope to accomplish when their house and senate are aligned against them?

Sorry, Joe, you are wrong.

The Future Of Government?

I wish there were a way to grab all the people who insist the government take care of them and FORCE them to read this article (after which we’d beat them senseless for their stupidity)

I couldn’t believe it when I read it.  I was expecting be told that the this man had a history of mental illness or that he was violent or had unclean habits.  None of the above.

But off to the mental hospital he was dragged, kicking and screaming against his will.

All because the state thought he was for too fat.

What’s next?  Smokers dragged off to re-hab against their will?  Kids who draw pictures of guns dragged off for re-education?

And this was ENGLAND!!!!

M.I.A.

For the record, our Benevolent Dictator, Vilmar, has been missing in action most of the day supposedly over at his parent’s house tearing up sod to help them replant their lawn. He claims to be all pooped out and promises to blog better tomorrow.

Hmmm, a likely story. He gets broadband then disappears from the blog. Very questionable behavior. We may have to look into his exact whereabouts. If anyone spots him out there trolling porn sites, tell him to report to the Principal’s Office IMMEDIATELY.

That is all.

Quote Of The Day

“A blog is still a view of the world through a pinhole,” he said, noting that it can sometimes fall as low as being a “one man circle jerk.”
-- NY Times Executive Editor, Bill Keller

What? As opposed to the NY Times, which is “a view of the world through an asshole and which sometimes falls as low as being a 5,000 man cluster fuck”?

And you can quote me on that!

Truly Sad

As you all know, hockey season was cancelled due to a “disagreement” between owners and players. One place hardest hit by the strike is the Soviet Socialist Republic of Canuckistan. The Molson breweries have almost run out of beer with Canucks trying to drown their sorrows over lack of sports this year. Fortunately, our Canuck friends have found something else to occupy their need for sports .... women’s curling.

Detour

President Bush is off to Europe today to meet with the Euro-Peons. His trip takes him to Belgium, Germany and Slovakia. Hmmm, quite a circuitous route across northern Europe. He seems to be avoiding a certain cesspit country filled with cheese-eating surrender monkeys. I don’t blame him .... flying over France would be akin to sailing over the Bermuda Triangle, n’est ce pas?

Scott Ritter Howls At The Moon (Again)

Scott Ritter, the UNSCOM inspector who first said Saddam had WMD’s then said he didn’t then .... aw, forget it - the man has flip-flopped way too many times to keep track of, plus he has received large amounts of money from undisclosed Middle Eastern sources. The man has no credibility left. Now, he has gone off the deep end, saying the US plans to attack Iran in June ....

Scott Ritter, appearing with journalist Dahr Jamail yesterday in Washington State, dropped two shocking bombshells in a talk delivered to a packed house in Olympia’s Capitol Theater. The ex-Marine turned UNSCOM weapons inspector said that George W. Bush has “signed off” on plans to bomb Iran in June 2005, and claimed the U.S. manipulated the results of the recent Jan. 30 elections in Iraq.

On Iran, Ritter said that President George W. Bush has received and signed off on orders for an aerial attack on Iran planned for June 2005. Its purported goal is the destruction of Iran’s alleged program to develop nuclear weapons, but Ritter said neoconservatives in the administration also expected that the attack would set in motion a chain of events leading to regime change in the oil-rich nation of 70 million—a possibility Ritter regards with the greatest skepticism.

The former Marine also said that the Jan. 30 elections, which George W. Bush has called “a turning point in the history of Iraq, a milestone in the advance of freedom,” were not so free after all. Ritter said that U.S. authorities in Iraq had manipulated the results in order to reduce the percentage of the vote received by the United Iraqi Alliance from 56% to 48%.

Scott Ritter’s talk was the culmination of a long evening devoted to discussion of Iraq and U.S. foreign policy. Before Ritter spoke, Dahr Jamail narrated a slide show on Iraq focusing on Fallujah. He showed more than a hundred vivid photographs taken in Iraq, mostly by himself. Many of them showed the horrific slaughter of civilians.

I really can’t add much to this ridiculous bullshit. Here we have a meeting of leftists in Washington state, a left-wing journalist showing alleged pictures of the US military slaughtering civilians and to top it all off, the miserable moonbat of WMD’s claiming to have secret knowledge of a US invasion of Iran. What next, Mr. Ritter? Isn’t it about time this pez-head surrendered the remaining fifteen minutes of fame he has left and just goes away?

The people in Washington state need to get a grip (or else buy new tin-foil hats). After letting the Democrats recount the recent vote in the governor’s race three times until they got the results they wanted and let a Democrat steal the election, they probably deserve whatever they get. Hosting Ritter and his leftist buddies, much less taking them seriously, is crossing over the line. Get real, Seattle!

One Small Step For Bloggers

Since 1966, the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) has allowed journalists and concerned citizens to request government documents in order to research news stories or to insure full disclosure of government actions. This act made it virtually impossible for our government to operate in total secrecy. Now, a bill has been introduced that would improve access to FOIA documents and give bloggers the same privileges as the mainstream media. Parity has arrived.

Senators John Cornyn (R-TX) and Pat Leahy (D-VT) have introduced legislation that would strengthen the Freedom of Information Act in important ways. Most of the media coverage so far has overlooked one important aspect. As Cornyn said in his floor speech:

“The Cornyn-Leahy legislation is not just pro-openness, pro-accountability, and pro-accessibility - it’s also pro-Internet. It includes a hotline enabling citizens to track their requests, including Internet tracking, and grants privileged FOIA fees for bloggers and writers for Internet outlets, providing the same status as traditional media.”

Members of established news outlets typically get all FOIA fees waived, while those of us who don’t work for the New York Times or CNN have to pay most fees. This bill would change that, exempting us from prohibitive search and copying fees that can be as high as five figures (and, rarely, even six figures). And that bit about tracking FOIA requests online is an idea whose time has come.

Is it just me or does anyone else think government has finally recognized the power of the blogosphere? This is just another nail in the MSM coffin. Reflect on that as you read today’s posts .... and while you’re at it, write your Congressman or Senator today and express your support of this bill. The blogosphere thanks you.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.
