Another Reason To Hate PBS

....and to de-fund these bastards!

PBS will soon start airing a cartoon aimed at pre-schoolers that portrays homosexuality. After complaints, some stations dropped it.  But not those in New York and San Francisco!  (of course!!)

Pre-schoolers!!!!  And these fucks have the nerve to tell us with a straight face that they have no agenda? You’ve GOT to be kidding me.

Another instance of our tax dollars at work!!!!

Above And Beyond The Call Of Duty

Sgt. 1st Class Paul Smith, US Army, 11th Engineer Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division.
Hometown: St. Petersberg, FL
Killed In Action: April 4, 2003

“Greater love hath no man than this:
that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
(John 15:13)

image

On the morning of April 4, the engineers found themselves manning a roadblock not far from Baghdad International Airport.

A call went out for a place to put some Iraqi prisoners.

Sgt. Smith volunteered to create a holding pen inside a walled courtyard. Soon, Iraqi soldiers, numbering perhaps 100, opened fire on Smith’s position. Smith was accompanied by 16 men.

Smith called for a Bradley, a tank-like vehicle with a rapid fire cannon. It arrived and opened up on the Iraqis. The enemy could not advance so long as the Bradley was in position. But then, in a move that baffled and angered Smith’s men, the Bradley left.

Smith’s men, some of whom were wounded, were suddenly vulnerable.

Smith could have justifiably ordered his men to withdraw. Lt. Col. Smith believes Sgt. Smith rejected that option, thinking that abandoning the courtyard would jeopardize about 100 GIs outside - including medics at an aid station.

Sgt. Smith manned a 50-caliber machine gun atop an abandoned armored personnel carrier and fought off the Iraqis, going through several boxes of ammunition fed to him by 21-year-old Pvt. Michael Seaman. As the battle wound down, Smith was hit in the head. He died before he could be evacuated from the scene. He was 33.

Sgt. 1st Class Paul R. Smith, who spent his boyhood in Tampa, became a man in the Army and died outside Baghdad defending his outnumbered soldiers from an Iraqi attack, will receive America’s highest award for bravery.

President Bush will present the Medal of Honor to Smith’s wife, Birgit, and their children Jessica, 18, and David, 10, at a ceremony at the White House, possibly in March.

Ayn Rand On Philosophy

After posting the recent link to the Ayn Rand Centenary, I was much surprised to find how many of you have read her works and appreciate the depth of this wonderful woman’s thoughts. One of our readers reminded me of one of her most important works, a non-fiction speech she gave to the cadets at West Point in 1974. The topic is “Philosophy: Who Needs It?”. Strap on your seat belts, plug-in your brain and come with me on a Magical Mystery Tour. What you are about to read is just plain, old uncommon horse sense but I bet you’ve never thought about it this way before. Pay particular attention to the last ten or twelve paragraphs.

There will be a test later ....

I Just Barely Made It Under The Wire

I turn 56 in March. I got mine, or at least that’s what they are telling me.

Citing information they received in a preview of the president’s speech, Republican congressional officials said that Social Security benefits promised to workers currently 55 and older would remain unchanged under Bush’s call for voluntary personal accounts for younger Americans. These officials spoke on condition of anonymity, saying they did not want to pre-empt the presidential address.

Whew! I just barely made it. Unless of course the Democrats start their usual crap and hack and slice the Social Security benefits to pieces to make sure the old farts are dependent on them. Who knows what will happen when the forons in DC start meddling?

It really doesn’t matter that much anyway to me. Heart disease runs in my family and I’m already fighting high blood pressure and high cholesterol. It’ll be a bloody miracle if I reach 65. I hope whoever gets all those thousands and thousands of dollars I paid into this lottery spends it well.  bomb

Somebody please shoot that overstuffed rat who just predicted six more weeks of winter. Hasn’t that fat f**ker ever heard of “global warming”? Damn!

Leftist Left Second Guessing Themselves

It seems as if the leftist, Bush bashing, America hating media assholes don’t know what to think anymore.

I’ll let the author of this piece say it better than I can:

“after watching Sunday’s election in Iraq and seeing the first clear sign that freedom really may mean something to the Iraqi people, you have to be asking yourself: What if it turns out Bush was right, and we were wrong?

It’s hard to swallow, isn’t it? ”

BWAH HA HA HA!!!  Take that you shitbirds!

The author goes on:

“On the other side of that barrier is a concept some of us have had a hard time swallowing:

Maybe the United States really can establish a peaceable democratic government in Iraq, and if so, that would be worth something.”

NO!!!  REALLY?!?!  Welcome to OUR reality you leftist twit!

Of course, it did not take him long to begin whining about how unfair it is to the Sunnis.  Shit-for-brains obviously can not quite grasp the concept that the Sunnis CHOSE not to go to the polls.  If they are not represented, it is their fault.  Plus, why is it the left always sides with the dictators?  It was the Sunnis, a minority in Iraq, that held tens of millions under their vicious thumbs.  I could give a fuck less that they are not represented.

I will cut him SOME slack, though.  After all he ended his article with this:

For now, though, I think we have to cut the president some slack about a timetable for his exit strategy.

If it turns out Bush was right all along, this is going to require some serious penance.

Maybe I’d have to vote Republican in 2008.

I Hate Cell Phones

After I read this I have resolved to try and find a low-cost, portable cell phone DISABLER that I can use while on the road....just like that TV remote device that shuts down TVs from across the room.

I am so damned sick and tired of seeing people with these things stuck up to their ears while they drive.  They are distracted.  They take forever to get going.  Their reaction times are not as good.  And the researchers are right:  people who are yakking and have to brake end up taking MUCH longer to accelerate back up to speed.  I see it happen here every day.

We may be intelligent mammal life forms capable of doing more than one thing at once but we can not do both things equally as well or as fast.

But really, now, why is it that people feel so compelled to talk so much?  Are they so fucking self important that they have to be in contact with the world at all times?

Anyone have links to manufacturers of cell phone scramblers/disablers?

Am I alone in this mindset?

NAACP In The News

Thanks to Michael King at Ramblings’ Journal we find out the NAACP is telling the IRS to go suck hind-tit.

Good!  I hope they continue along those lines. We will then see these victicrat enablers lose their tax-exempt status.  Then I want to see how long they can survive.  Read what he has to say (link above) or go to the story direct here.

Spelling Bee Update

A few days ago I ranted about these moonbats in Rhode Island who cancelled a spelling bee because it violated the primary tenet of President Bush’s “No child left behind” program.  Their rationale was that if a child WON the bee, all the other children were “left behind.”

What fucking planet do these assholes come from, anyway?

Well, a new superintendent is planning to reverse that decision. Nothing like a little national attention, eh?  Of course, they will tell you differently and say their decision to backtrack had nothing to do with public pressure.

OBTW, if you read the article you will see that the principal of the school has a Portuguese name. (Hey, I should know, it’s MY heritage!) And like most Portuguese she was trying to be a good socialist.  Thank God I finally got my father to see the error of his ways and he is now a registered Republican.  Took 40 years but it was worth it.

Ward Churchill Update

Now even the governor of Colorado has entered the fray demanding Ward Churchill be fired!

GREAT NEWS!!

Who can argue with this logic?

“...we are not compelled to accept his pro-terrorist views at state taxpayer subsidy nor under the banner of the University of Colorado.”

Let’s see how far over backwards the Board Of Regents will bend tomorrow defending this piece of shit.

My bet?  They tell him they have to fire him but will not say so if he decides to resign citing “credible death threats which no longer permit him to work.” The Board will then give him a very generous golden parachute and retirement package.

Stay tuned.

What Do You Say?

A technology company is about to launch software that can monitor where employees surf while at work.

If it is not related to the job the employee gets billed at the end of the month for bandwidth and time spent.

Before you fly off the handle one way or another, bear in mind that it IS company time, company resources, and company money being spent.

Then think about all the time you’ve seen people answering emails, shopping on-line, surfing, etc. while on the job and NOT their breaks.  Then think about all the lost productivity and the effects it has on a macro scale on the economy (number of companies X number of computers X minutes X number of business days in a year = non-productive time.

Now, go ahead.  Read the article and then let’s hear what you have to say.

Hooray For Some Arkansas Legislators

In what is seen to be very similar to a measure passed by Arizona, two Arkansas senators are proposing a bill to limit/cut off government aid to illegal immigrants.

Of course, the “pity-party” crowd is lining up already criticizing this as cold-hearted and un-Christian.

Hell, even the Governor, a Republican, is against it.  He says it is:

“inflammatory ... race-baiting and demagoguery.” (it is also) “anti-life” because, he says, it would deny pre-natal benefits to illegal-alien mothers and therefore harm their newborns.”

Awww, too bad!!!  Go have your babies in Mexico or wherever you came from, dammit!  This moonbat governor seems to think that everyone’s motivations are pure but these illegals get knocked up soon as they get here (or get here knocked up) in order to stall their expulsion.

The Wetbacks, United president calls it misguided.

The Little Rock mayor (remember, this is Bill “Blowjob” Clinton country) said:

“This is the wrong way to go. It singles out a particular group. It’s based on emotion and on a misunderstanding.”

How stupid can one person be?  What fantasy land does he live in to say it is based on “emotion?” Emotion has nothing to do with it.

Good thing some people in Arkansas understand this.  One of the proponents of the bill said:

“This does not single anyone out except for those who are doing illegal things. It’s a fairness issue.  You don’t want to seem like you hate anyone, but what it is a matter of justice. People that are citizens don’t like it if they can’t receive benefits that illegals get.”

AMEN!!!

Arizona, Arkansas.....looks like we’re starting at the top of the alphabet, huh.  Will Colorado be next?  GO TANCREDO!!!!
