Chicago!

Only in the Windy City could you find someone with the balls to name their company this. Of course, in New York it would just be pure shit.

Where Is Michael Moore And His Camera?

NEWS FLASH: It appears that a large part of the Clinton Presidential Library was financed by donations from Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar and Lebanon. Talk about being in bed with the ragheads?

Fucktard Moore made a big lie out of supposed ties between Bush and Saudi princes in “Fucked-Up 9/11”. I wonder why he is so silent now that his butt-buddy Clinton has been caught red-handed taking money from those same Saudi princes. C’mon Michael “Fatass” Moore, where are your damned cameras now?

DAMN!

Site Maintenance Tonight

ANNOUNCEMENT: The BMEWS site will be off-line late tonight for upgrade of our blogging software. pMachine has just released an upgrade to the Expression Engine (version 1.2). The new version includes a number of new features (including a built-in photo gallery) as well as speed improvements.

If all goes well, BMEWS will be back on-line tomorrow morning ready and able. If not, I’ll be blaming it all on a Democrat conspiracy ....

Carry on ....

Update: Maintenance has been postponed until Thursday afternoon when you are all stuffing your faces with turkey and ham. I just got my new iRiver H340 MP3 Portable Player (Color Display and 40 GB internal drive) in from Amazon and am ripping all my CD’s to MP3’s and preparing to load this puppy up with all my tunes. This sucker holds MP3 music tunes and plays them and also has an FM tuner and can store and display images too. And it only measures 4” by 2” by 3/4”. Awesome! Pappa’s got a brand new toy!

Will Humans Catch Computer Viruses?

It might sound like a silly question, but if the futuristic idea (and ideal) of linking man and machine comes to fruition, it might become a real concern. Do you think cyborgs are only fodder for sci-fi stories? Think again: a professor of cybernetics in England has, according to ZDNet, wired his nervous system to a computer and implanted himself with an RFID chip. In fact, he says that someday the majority of people will be borged and those who aren’t will be considered a “subspecies.”

Sure, one can enumerate the advantages that would come with having a direct interface between brain, body and machine. It would be neat to be able to tap into a huge database instantly, at the speed of thought. And it would be nice to have enough memory so you never again have to spend an hour backtracking your steps to determine what you did with your car keys.

But in order to fully take advantage of computer enhancement, the “human computer” would need to be networked - and we know the risks networking presents for regular old machines. Imagine someone uploading a virus to your brain, or hacking into your darkest fantasies. Such a thing is probably a long way off, but it’s what some scientists are working toward. If we think we have privacy issues now, just wait until we all have the ultimate connection, all of the time.

On the other hand, there are many who think such research should be banned. But what about the positive applications of the same technology? Implanted chips could someday allow the blind to see and those with spinal injuries to walk again. Should we restrain researchers in the cybernetics field out of fear about some of the uses of the technology? And if, for example, the U.S. banned such research, would that allow other countries to create far superior human beings that would someday be this country’s downfall?

Development of technology that integrates biology with computers seems to be inevitable. The U.S. FDA has approved the use of RFID chips in humans for better access to information about hospital patients. The Italian Ministry of Health recently completed a six month trial of the technology. Several officials in Mexico have had chips implanted as protection against kidnapping. Some nightclubs in Spain allow customers to pay for drinks via an implanted chip.

Are we moving inexorably toward the day when we not only can but must have a chip implanted at birth, which will be used to store our medical histories, credit histories, purchasing habits and everything else of importance about us? Will that information be accessible to government agencies, companies with which we do business, and talented hackers? Is such a universal ID system the solution to protecting against terrorists and other criminals? Will those who aren’t “chipped” not only be considered “odd,” but in violation of the law?

What do you think? Does the potential good of the technology outweigh the huge potential for abuse? Are you looking forward to becoming a ‘borg? Is resistance futile? Would you have your children chipped to protect them against getting lost or kidnapped? How about your pet (millions already have)? We’ve visited this question before, but new developments make it more relevant than ever. Has your mind changed as this technology has become more common in practice? Let us know what you think. Sound off ....

Man!  Am I Going To Piss SOme Of You Off!

Today is the anniversary of the date when JFK took a bullet to the head.

Now, I do not understand if this is a New England thing or something else related to the fact the guy got whacked in office but there are so many people who hold him up to be some sort of godlike figure.  You can say no wrong about him.  You risk personal injury if you criticize him.

Not sure what you think but the guy got into power on the backs of his corrupt father and grandfather.  OBTW, corrupt is too kind a word for the dealings those guys were involved in.

He appointed his own brother as attorney general.

He set the precedent for immoral behavior and abuse of power copied 30 years later by Bill Clinton with his dalliances while in the White House.

He screwed the pooch in the Bay of Pigs fiasco.

I will give him credit for staring down Kruschev and implementing tax cuts.  But that’s about it.

So, in honor of his demise, someone’s come up with a nifty game.

It supposedly is about as realistic as it can get and you actually score points for style.

No, I did not download it as I find this stuff abhorrent (much as I do not like Kennedy to play a game that assassinates a President is going a bit too far) but I know we have some twisted minds out there who might like it.

So go. Download it. Tell us all about it.

Have You Seen Much Press On This?

Over the weekend I saw on Drudge that President Bush reached into a crowd and pulled one of his secret service agents out who was being harassed by some Chilean “security” assholes.

My!  What a difference from someone like “Wannabe President” Fuckface who cursed out his secret service agents while skiing, eh?

As one who has no TV what I want to know is how much coverage did the press give this on evening news?  After all, here’s our Presdient acting like a “MAN”, confident in who he is, taking some risk in doing what he did.  But because he’s a Republican, acting like a cowboy, somehow that is “embarassing” to the MSM who prefers their male leaders to be emasculated and therefore I suspect it may have gotten only “passing” mention, say for 5 seconds.

Compare that to the media adoration, saturation, and constant bombardment at the top and bottom of every hour for several days straight that would be given Fuckface if he had even ATTEMPTED to do this.

So?  Did it get much play?  Tell me.

Basketball Assholes

First, this year we had Kobe Bryant involved in an “alleged” rape in Colorado. Now, we have two teams (Indiana and Detroit) crawling into the stands and duking it out with their fans. One of the suspended players, Ron Artest, has been penalized ten times already by the NBA for his temper tantrums.

Here’s a little bit of information for you from a new book entitled “Out Of Bounds” by Jeff Benedict ....

Based on a first-of-its-kind investigation into the criminal histories of 177 NBA players from the 2001–2002 season, Out of Bounds shows that an alarming four out of every ten NBA players have a police record involving a serious crime. They are All-Stars and they are journeymen, involved in crimes ranging from armed robbery to domestic violence to gun possession to rape.

Excuse me, but all the rest of us have to go through background checks before we get hired (in most cases). So what is wrong with our professional sports associations when 40% of its players have a criminal record involving violent crime?

On top of that, every week we hear of another player in one of the major sports being busted for illegal drugs. These people are being placed in front of our children as “role models”? Horse-shit! It’s the media that glorifies these criminals and their antics and our kids just eat that crap up while sitting in front of the boob tube.

And the real heros in Iraq and Afghanistan go unnoticed by that same media unless there is a chance to make them look bad as happened recently with the Marine who shot and killed an “unarmed Iraqi insurgent”. Again, HORSE-SHIT! I’m getting sick and tired of this bias and the glorification of pissant criminals who are only good at dribbling a round ball. Any doofus can dribble. Very few can stand up to enemy artillery fire and keep fighting against madmen while 5,000 miles from home.

It’s past time for the media and that large number of Americans to get their priorities straight. If I were commissioner of the NBA, those players would be permanently banned from the game. After all, what’s good enough for Pete Rose should be good enough for Ron Artest .... if it weren’t for the facts that (1) Artest is black and Rose is white and (2) baseball is much stricter on its players than the NBA.

It’s time to boycott basketball. Send the NBA a message. Let’s get the criminals off the court and into court.

The BMEWS Diet

As we now know, Dr. Atkins was 258 lbs. at the time of his death, an obese weight for a man 6’ tall. For those of you who watch what you eat…

Here’s the final word on nutrition and health. It’s a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting medical studies:

1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than the Americans.

2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than the Americans.

3. The Japanese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than the Americans.

4. The French and Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than the Americans.

5. The Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than the Americans.

CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

Domo arrigato, Mister Roboto!

I Hate Them.  Let’s Abolish Them.

In this first piece we see the assholes in the ACLU want to sue the state of Lousiana because one of its sites promoting abstinence mentions God.

At first blush you want to think, “hmmmm, they may have a point.  The state is using government dollars in an alleged promotion of a religious belief.”

Then you continue to read and find out the reference is made by a person POSTING to the site and NOT the actual webmaster or content controller,

Would the ACLU be so quick to sue if I had gone on there and called the state’s site a dominion of Satan and that Adolf Hitler had the right idea in mind when he advocated sterilization?  Of course, the reference to Satan would be hailed as enlightening and refreshing while the reference to Hitler would not be seen as hate filled.

What assholes those fucktards in the ACLU are!

However, there may be hope in sight: in Chicago (hey, Barb, your backyard!!) a man launched a site devoted to the abolishment of the ACLU.·

It’s called StopThe ACLU.org

The creator, Nedd Kareiva wants to do two things:

“send 1 million letters to the ACLU’s headquarters in New York and to coordinate a march of 1 million Americans at each ACLU office in the nation.”

Give him a hand.  Click on the site.  Lend him some support.  Hell, donate if you can.

Here’s a link to the letter to send.

Final Note:  Speaking of the ACLU and Satan, here we have a story of Satan worshippers damaging a Christian church.

Where’s the ACLU demanding a cessation of these hate-filled activities?  After all, it does affect people’s choices and the actions by the Satanists can be construed as intimidating to one’s civil liberties.

Oh, yeah, I forgot.  If it’s against Christians or conservatives it is OK.  It is not OK if it’s against homosexuals, women, Blacks, Arabs, satanists, etc.

Silly me.

Nevermind.

The Religion of Peace Kills Again

This is disgusting.  A 14 year old boy breaks the Ramadan fast.

His punishment?  85 lashes.

He dies.

There should be no more reason than this to exterminate this religion and its followers from the face of the planet.

Bill Cosby Strikes Again

But it is obvious many people STILL don’t get it.

Bill Cosby goes on stage in front of 3000 people and begins to excoriate them again for failing their children.

He says:

“You can’t tell me that this is all the white man’s fault.  Everybody is not a victim. When I look at 55 percent of our black men dropping out of school, how bad off are we going to be when we need some lawyers?”

Sure sounds like he is talking about Blacks taking responisibility for their actions, eh?

Yet in an interview afterwards, one of the people at the talk said this:

“It’s something that should have been said a long time ago. Our leaders aren’t taking responsibility for the youth of black America.”

Read that quote again.

Especially the last sentence.

Did you catch the part where this person said Black leaders should take responsiblity?  I guess she did not get the message that responsibility begins with the individual and not someone else.

I no longer have to wonder why we have the problems we have with liberals, Democrats, and Blacks. Too many belong to a a “cult of victimology.”

The Benefits of Forced Sterilization

A young girl in England gets pregnant, decides to have an abortion and does not tell her mother. The proverbial “shit” hit the fan as the mother raises a big stink.

End of story?

Not likely.

The girl, now 15 (that’s right, 15, the number right after 14) decides she wants to try it again and this time keep the baby.  So she finds someone with whom to do “the beast with two backs” AGAIN WITHOUT BIRTH CONTROL.

The girl’s mother seems to think there is nothing wrong in that.

Well. I do.

I’d sterilize the mother, the girl, AND, for good measure, the baby, too, in order to keep those genes from further polluting our gene pool.

Who’s with me?

P.S.  Silly me, thanks to Bob for reminding me.  Yes, the boy who dipped his wick needs to be sterilized, too. As do his parents and all their kids---just in case, you know!  grin

Is Anyone Surprised?

Someone took a poll and found out many Americans dislike the French so much as to think they are our enemy.

Well, DUH!!!!!

Among those who voted for President Bush, the margin was 7 to 1 against the Cheese-Eating-Surrender-Monkeys.  The Kerry lovers, however were almost evenly divided. No surprise there, naturally.

So, what say you?  Love ‘em or hate ‘em?  Tell us.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
