eye candy for a cold friday night

I’ve posted her photo before and found this a day or two ago. Anyway, I really love the next two without knowing a heck of a lot about them. But I keep seeing their photos and like what I see.

Here’s Carol and she still looks darn good at 51. Or will be in Dec.

CHERYL COLE, and I haven’t seen this kind of photo of her before. I think she’s a fox and off the scale.

KIMBERLEY ?  I forgot and don’t know who she is. Or forgot.  But she’s pretty so she’s here.

they are different, very different in every way. and they keep coming here. heaven help us.

Mustn’t say anything bad or mock the prophet.
In fact, even the rumor that the all holy one has been insulted is enough for these illiterates to go mad.
Whatever, they clearly don’t like the idea of girls getting an education.
And once they finish the job they have started, namely taking over the west, look for the same thing here.
The lefts among us will see to it, you just watch.  Muslims can’t do it without enablers.

Almost any other people of almost any other religion would you might think, be a mite embarrassed by the insane antics of the verminous scum who cause their much valued ROP to be viewed in such a negative light as we view them.
They haven’t the brains to work that out.  They are very different us and most of the rest of the world. And yet, more and more of them are moving here. Amongst us. That is not a warm and comfortable feeling.

Oh btw, are still sending them foreign aid?

Furious 200-strong mob ransack Lahore’s leading girls’ school after a female teacher ‘set blasphemous homework’

By Laura Pullman

More than 200 furious protestors ransacked a leading girls’ school in Lahore this week after claims that a teacher insulted the Prophet Muhammad.

The angry mob descended on Farooqi Girls’ High School, set fire to furniture and burnt out the head teacher’s car on Wednesday. And, on the wall of the building, the mob graffitied: ‘School management are blasphemers.’

The Islamic hardliners became incensed after a teacher at the prestigious private school allegedly made a mistake while copying Islamic text from an exercise book and then distributed the text to her students.

The protestors reportedly were mainly teenagers and travelled in from outside Lahore, the second largest city in Pakistan.

An inquiry has now been set up to investigate the destruction of the school, parts of which were left in ruins after the attack.

Police used batons to control the protestors as firefighters worked to put out blazes on Wednesday.

The teacher was in hiding today but the school’s 77-year-old principal has been arrested and remains in police custody.

Meanwhile, the school’s management have today denied all responsibility for the ‘dirty act’ and called for the teacher, Arfa Iftikhar, to be punished.

Today, the school took out front page adverts in two leading newspapers denying that it had any knowledge of the alleged insults to the Prophet.

The adverts claimed that Ms Iftikhar had distributed the work just 10 minutes before the school closed for the Eid al-Adha holiday.

Translated from Urdu, the advertisement read: ‘Our school management and the owners have no link whatsoever with this dirty act.’

‘We appeal to the government and the police to take legal action against this teacher and investigate her real motive.’

According to the AFP, a search has been launched for Ms Iftikhar and Asim Farooqi, the school’s headmaster, has been remanded in custody for 14 days on charges of blasphemy.

Pakistan’s laws on blasphemy are extremely strict and charges can carry the death penalty.

I Made It

We got our power back this morning.

No damage to either condo. No major flooding in our town. Trees down all over the place, ripped out of the ground and thrown across streets and yards.

We tried to tough it out here for a couple days, but the Mrs. could just never get warm, so we packed up stuff and went and stayed with her dad in PA for a couple days. Trust me guys, there is no joy in your life if your wife can’t stay warm. Brr.

Slowly our part of NJ is coming back to life. Compared to huge portions of the rest of the state and surrounding area we got off easy. Entire towns have burned down, whole villages and neighborhoods washed out to sea. Flooding, wrecks, fire. It’s really bad here, but that here is over there, so our here is great in comparison. Capice?

When we could get radio, they were saying this was the biggest natural disaster of our lifetimes. Good. Because I don’t ever want to go through anything like this again. But in a year or so I’ll have lots of funny stories to tell, like driving sideways down the highway against the wind, or trying to build a gas grill from a box of black metal parts after dusk by flashlight so we could try and make coffee and cook. Or staying snuggled up under a giant pile of quilts and comforters and barely staying warm as the temperature dropped to nearly freezing and the house got colder and colder. The entire town lined up at the one gas station in town that had power - no gas, just some power - so we could get a hot cuppa coffee. Saw everybody, knew everybody, traded stories. Then finding that her car wouldn’t start, lining up a lift, turning it down when the car started, watching them drive away, and the car conked out again. Good times, what? It was water in the fuel; the power was out by the time she went to put the car away so she couldn’t get it in the garage, and the 100mph winds and rain blew water up the air intake and also into the gas tank - cuz some bozoface at the station didn’t put her gas cap back on when she’d filled up. All fixed now with a couple can of Drygas, some new petrol, and running a towel on a stick up and down the air intake chute.

Ok, so life slowly gets back to normal. Funeral tomorrow as scheduled for her mom I think, then next week I can get back to work, painting, installing garage openers and phone wires, putting in carpeting. I’m in the new place and we have HEAT thank God. And hot water. SHOWERS! Woo hoo!!!

Oh, this one is tougher than the last one. Really is a shame we don’t know who played this… White deserves recognition for his checkmate. (yes, that’s a hint that’s NOT in the book.)

guns need to be licensed and registered so this doesn’t happen here in the west

Yeah I know. I shouldn’t make light of this brief article I found this morning.
Actually, I not laughing about what happened to these folks. I really don’t think it funny.  Damn bad way to go.
What I found amusing was my own immediate thought, wait til the left reads this story. They will somehow find a way to relate it to the USA and demand gun control and limits. You know the litany.
So I thought I’d post the article which I found in the Telegraph this morning.

Tried calling Drew last night. No success.  Morning papers say most of his home state is without power still. Jeesh.

WEDDING GUNFIRE SALUTE HITS CABLE AND KILLS 23

Celebratory gunfire at a wedding party in eastern Saudi Arabia brought down an electric cable, killing 23.

At the wedding, the cable fell on a metal door and the 23 who died were all electrocuted.  Those killed were all from the same tribe, thirty others were injured.

Saudi Arabia had banned gunfire at weddings, a tradition in tribal areas, a month ago.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
