Support Your Local Sheriff

If you’ve never heard of Sheriff Joe Arpaio, you’ve obviously been hiding under a rock for a long time. Sheriff Joe believes in “tough love” and he don’t take no crap off anyone. He made news long ago with his boot camp programs to rehabilitate juvenile criminals. He doesn’t believe in coddling prisoners either.

Now Sheriff Joe is giving them hell along the border ... and the illegal Mess-Cans don’t like it one bit. Let’s help Sheriff Joe and encourage other law enforcement personnel along our Souther border to do the same. If the lazy-assed Feds won’t protect our borders then our local law needs to step up and “git her done”.

imageimageArizona Posse to Round Up Illegal Immigrants
May 10, 2006, 8:00 AM EDT

GILA BEND, Ariz. (AP)—Four Mexican men sit in the dirt with their wrists bound, shoulders hunched and eyes lowered to avoid the glare of the rising sun. The immigrants had been on their way to build a dairy farm in this town about an hour southwest of Phoenix. But after a traffic stop for a faulty brake light, members of a sheriff’s task force targeting human and drug smugglers found they were not U.S. citizens. Now they were bound for federal custody.

Beginning Wednesday, more illegal immigrants coming through Maricopa County could meet the same fate as the sheriff’s department beefs up its efforts to find illegal immigrants. A 250-member posse that will operate similarly to the anti-smuggler task force will patrol the area for illegal immigrants who pay smugglers to cross through Arizona, the busiest illegal entry point along the 2,000-mile U.S.-Mexico border.

The posse will be made up of existing sheriff’s deputies and members of the department’s 3,000-member posse reserve of trained, unpaid volunteers. The four illegal immigrants pulled over Monday will be turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and sent back to Mexico. But those that are captured by the posse may end up in jail, charged under a state law that has been used against more than 100 illegal immigrants in Maricopa County this year.

The law made human smuggling a state crime in Arizona—it was already a federal crime—allowing local law enforcement agencies to arrest suspected smugglers. It was meant to crack down on smugglers, but under a disputed interpretation, County Attorney Andrew Thomas argues the law can be applied to the smuggled immigrants themselves.

Thomas maintains illegal immigrants who pay smugglers to enter the United States are committing conspiracy to smuggle and can therefore be prosecuted under the state law. The sheriff’s office began arresting illegal immigrants under that interpretation in March, and with the new posse, will continue doing so by patrolling desert areas and main roadways in the southwestern part of the county.

“I’m going to catch as many as I can and throw them in my jail,” said Sheriff Joe Arpaio. “And the jails are not that nice.”

It remains to be seen whether a judge will uphold the smuggling law as applicable to illegal immigrants. Lawyers for some arrested illegal immigrants have filed motions to have the charges dismissed. A Los Angeles attorney brought into the case by the Mexican Consul General’s Office in Phoenix filed another motion claiming Thomas and Arpaio are violating state and federal law and are using the conspiracy charges to control illegal immigration, which is the federal government’s job.

Arpaio said the motions don’t worry him. “I get sued when I go to the toilet. You think I’m worried about it?” he said. “If they think I’m going to slow down because of these threats, I’ve got news for them—I’m not going to slow down. I’ll do more of it.”

Alfredo Gutierrez, a Hispanic activist and former Democratic state senator, called Thomas’ interpretation of the law and Arpaio’s use of it “political pranks.” “Every act like this contributes to the angst and anger and desperation in our community,” Gutierrez said. Elias Bermudez, president of the pro-immigrant group Inmigrantes Sin Fronteras, or Immigrants Without Borders, questions the legality of the immigration posse itself.

“It is racial profiling,” he said. “They don’t follow guys that are blond and blue-eyed.” Bermudez said Arpaio is “a good criminal sheriff, but he needs to go out there and find criminals. He wants to go after the poor, undocumented immigrant who is hungry and thirsty in the desert. That is totally inhumane.”

Stop by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office on the web at http://www.mcso.org/ and leave a word of encouragement for Sheriff Joe and the posse.

Oil Embargo

What goes around comes around. Payback is a b**ch. No matter how you say it, the principle is the same - you reap what you sow. The Paleosimians are about to find that out the hard way. Much like the way their sponsors in the Middle East have done to the US in imposing oil embargos in the past, now the Paleosimians are getting the same treatment ... but for a good reason this time: they can’t pay their bills so they get no gas. This should slow down some of their ability to run around bombing and killing Israelis. The pressure is mounting on these savages. Stay tuned. This could be highly entertaining ....

Israelis Stop Fuel Supply to Palestinians
May 10, 2006, 9:35 AM EDT

RAMALLAH, West Bank (AP)—The Israeli company that provides fuel to the Palestinian areas is cutting off supplies due to growing debts, Israeli and Palestinian officials said Wednesday, a move that could deepen a humanitarian crisis in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The head of the Palestinian petrol commission, Mujahid Salame, said he expected gasoline supplies to run out by Thursday. “If this happens, there will be a humanitarian crisis,” he said.

He said Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas was in touch with American and European diplomats in hopes of pressuring Israel to ensure the flow of fuel to the Palestinian areas. Dor Energy has been the sole provider of gasoline to the Palestinian areas since interim peace agreements were signed in the mid-1990s. Company officials declined comment.

Salame said the Palestinians owe about $26 million to Dor, but he accused the company of taking a political decision aimed at punishing the Hamas-led Palestinian government. Israel has stopped about $55 million in monthly tax transfers to the Palestinians, demanding that the militant Islamic group renounce violence and recognize the Jewish state. The tax money has been placed in escrow.

Last month, Israel used this money to pay Palestinian debts owed to government-run companies like the Israeli electric company. But Asaf Shariv, a spokesman for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, said Israel would “absolutely not” bail out the Palestinians this time. Dor has cut off supplies twice before this year—only to be paid at the last minute by the Palestinians.

Israeli economic pressure, along with a cutoff in aid by Western donors, has left the Hamas government unable to pay its bills and thousands of civil servants without salaries. Western powers agreed Tuesday to restore humanitarian aid to the Palestinian areas, as long as the money doesn’t reach Hamas. But it remained unclear when the money will begin flowing.

Now You Know

Not only is this “myth” true but I have seen humans (who shall remain nameless) who staggered around for years with no brain - and also had a lot more in common with chickens. You know who you are.

image

Myth or Science: “Chickens can live without a head?”—True, and not just for a few minutes. A chicken can stagger around without its noggin because the brain stem, often left partially intact after a beheading, controls most of its reflexes. One robust fellow lived a full eighteen months. Likely he was a real birdbrain, however.

Lost In Translation

“From Iran With Hate” -by- Cox & Forkum

Mr. President,

History tells us that repressive and cruel governments do not survive. God has entrusted the fate of men to them. The Almighty has not left the universe and humanity to their own devices. Many things have happened contrary to the wishes and plans of governments. These tell us that there is a higher power at work and all events are determined by Him.

Can one deny the signs of change in the world today? Is the situation of the world today comparable to that of 10 years ago? Changes happen fast and come at a furious pace. The people of the world are not happy with the status quo and pay little heed to the promises and comments made by a number of influential world leaders. Many people around the world feel insecure and oppose the spreading of insecurity and war and do not approve of and accept dubious policies.

The people are protesting the increasing gap between the haves and the have-nots and the rich and poor countries. The people are disgusted with increasing corruption. The people of many countries are angry about the attacks on their cultural foundations and the disintegration of families. They are equally dismayed with the fading of care and compassion. The people of the world have no faith in international organizations, because their rights are not advocated by these organizations.

Liberalism and Western-style democracy have not been able to help realize the ideals of humanity. Today these two concepts have failed. Those with insight can already hear the sounds of the shattering and fall of the ideology and thoughts of the Liberal democratic systems. We increasingly see that people around the world are flocking towards a main focal point—that is the Almighty God. Undoubtedly through faith in God and the teachings of the prophets, the people will conquer their problems. My question for you is: “Do you not want to join them?”

School Daze, Chapter CCLXVI

Of all the anal retentive applications of school rules, this one takes the cake. The kid signed a paper saying he would behave on a field trip. Nothing wrong with that. The field trip was cancelled so the kid and his girlfriend go to her house for a little sex education. The school suspended the kid (no word on whether the girl was suspended) for being a bad boy “during school hours”. WTF?

In my not-so-humble opinion this has a suckage factor of at least 9.2 on the Kinsey Scale. What say you about this? If I were the kid’s parents I’d be livid and filing a lawsuit too. Of course “junior” would get a good dose of my belt across his backside but that’s another story for another day ...

Sex Leads to Boy’s Suspension
May 8, 2006

RALEIGH, NC (WTVD)—Wake County school officials have suspended a boy for having sex during school hours. Ryan Biggar, 16, and his 17-year-old girlfriend had permission to leave Middle Creek High School for an off-campus program. When their event was canceled for the day, they were caught having sex in the girl’s home.

It violated school rules, and officials say those rules apply no matter where you are during school hours. But the Biggar’s family is filing a lawsuit against the school system, saying his suspension for the rest of the school year is unconstitutional. He says he had no notice that private, consensual, off-campus sexual activity could subject him to school suspension.

Some students told Eyewitness News that the rules are unclear. “I think he shouldn’t get suspended because he was at his house. What he does at his house should stay at his house,” said senior Jajuan Blanton. A mother disagrees. “Restrictions say you’re on school time, then you are on school time whether you’re at lunch or not,” said Mary Ann Buesing.

Wake County school spokesman Michael Evans says that having sex during school hours breaks the rules - - even in a private home. “Whereever you are during school hours. It’s a privilege to leave campus for lunch and you sign a form to that effect, as do your parents,” Evans said. “So it was with full consent and knowledge that they participate under these rules and if they chose to break them then disciplinary action will come into play.”

Court documents include a copy of the lunch permit application, which states that students exercising off-campus lunch privileges are subject to the rules of student conduct, as applicable to the regular school day. Biggar and one of his parents had signed the application. Biggar is appealing his suspension. A hearing is set for May 15. It is unclear if his girlfriend was suspended, since she is not suing anyone and school records are not public.

Maid Cuts Off Employer’s Penis
May 8, 2006 22:03 (SA)

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (Reuters)—Surgeons have reattached the penis of a Saudi man who paid the price for trying to have sex with his Filipina maid and she attacked him with a knife, said a hospital source on Monday.

A spokesperson at Riyadh’s Takhassusi Hospital said: “This is a sophisticated operation. You are dealing with an organ in a difficult area and you want to try to return it to its efficiency.”

Earlier this month it was reported that the maid removed her employer’s manhood after he tried to molest her in the middle of the night as his wife was sleeping. The maid is in police custody.

The spokesperson said: “It’s one of the rare cases… but they did it (the operation) last week and it went smoothly. “The hospital has done this kind of operation before, but only after people had car accidents.”

Then again, maybe it’s best not to return it to its “original efficiency”. Feed it to the dogs and give the maid a raise.

Most Ridiculous Item Of The Day (so far)

Mr. Zuma was acquitted last week of the rape charges, based mostly on his contention that his victim has a history of making false accusations of rape. Yeah, right. He still faces charges of corruption. The weird part of this is that his political career is probably ruined. Why? Because he admitted during testimony not using a condom.

Welcome to Africa, folks - the continent that has been sliding rapidly into the toilet ever since they ran the Europeans out and started “governing” themselves. I predict that within fifty years, they’ll be back to wearing loincloths and carrying spears. That is not intended as a racist statement - it’s just telling it like it is.

The continent is overflowing with natural resources from diamonds to oil to uranium and it’s all being wasted by a few dozen dictators, despots and warring tribes - not to mention an absolutely horrid AIDS epidemic. When will it end - and how many millions will die before then?

imageimageZuma Sorry For Not Using Condom
Tuesday, 9 May 2006, 11:32 GMT 12:32 UK

SOUTH AFRICA (BBC)—Former Deputy President Jacob Zuma has apologised to South Africans for not using a condom during sex. This detail emerged during his trial on a rape charge, of which he was cleared on Monday. It caused shock in a country where 5m people are infected with HIV.

Mr Zuma also said media coverage of his trial was unfair, and hinted at a political conspiracy against him. He said he was “ready to lead” if his party wished. Mr Zuma was once seen as a future president and remains popular.

In a statement delivered to a news conference in Johannesburg, Mr Zuma said he had erred in having unprotected sex with a woman he knew to be HIV-positive. “I should have known better and acted with more caution. For this I apologise to all the people of this country.”

He also said the woman who accused him “should in no way be vilified or condemned”, and offered a hand of friendship “to the women and organisations who demonstrated against me, because we are partners in a common struggle”.

Mr Zuma criticised the media coverage of his trial: “It is unfortunate that freedom of expression has been used as an instrument to assassinate character and prejudice the judicial process.”

- More third world insanity at the BBC ...

Gang Warfare In Gaza

Thugs. Murderers. Vicious gangs. These asshats are no more a political party or a country than the Mafia was. At least the Mafia understood the concept of honor and mainly kept their wars to themselves. The Paleosimians understand nothing - except killing. When they’re not kiling Israelis, they’re killing eah other. I read the news article below and my first thought was that these freaks haven’t changed one bit in five thousand years.

They are still bedouin tribes killing each other and anyone who gets in their way over any convenient feud they can manufacture to justify more bloodshed. The only thing that has changed is now they live in concrete cities, wear blue jeans and carry Kalashnikovs. Underneath, they are still the same mindless savages that they were when Hammurabi tried to get them to sit down and STFU many ages ago.

Then again, if I lived in an ass-backward country where alcohol was banned, the only steak you can order is camel, everyone is poor except the leader’s family, women are always wrapped in burlap sacks and some madman was screaming at me five times a day from a tower - I’d probably be a little nuts too.

imageimage9 Wounded in Hamas-Fatah Clashes in Gaza
May 9, 2006, 1:26 AM EDT

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP)—Nine Palestinians were wounded early Tuesday in renewed clashes between the Hamas and Fatah factions in downtown Gaza City, witnesses and paramedics say.

The clashes erupted after Hamas gunmen arrived at the home of a top Fatah official and opened fire at Fatah activists inside, witnesses said. The Fatah gunmen returned fire and nine were injured in the exchange, including five schoolchildren, hospital officials said. At least one of the wounded was a Hamas gunmen, officials said. No further details were available regarding the identity of the wounded.

According to Hamas officials, bodyguards working for Samir Mashrawi, a top Fatah leader in Gaza, kidnapped three members of the Hamas military wing earlier in the morning and the Hamas gunmen had arrived on the scene to free them. Fatah officials denied the accusations.

Tuesday’s clashes follow Monday’s events, in which militants from Hamas and Fatah clashed in Gaza with assault rifles and shoulder-held missiles, killing three people, in the latest sign that the rivals could be heading toward a large-scale confrontation.

Bystanders gathered to watch Tuesday’s clashes in downtown Gaza City, as mosque loudspeakers encouraged them to flee the scene. An early morning meeting between both factions called for restraint, but tensions remained high as the sides accused each other of instigating the violence.

Friction has been rising since the Islamic militant group Hamas ended Fatah’s four-decade control of Palestinian politics with a victory in January parliament elections.

Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas and moderate Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah have been wrangling over power, particularly over control of the security forces. The friction has been compounded by a growing financial crisis, the result of Western economic sanctions against the Hamas-led government. The two leaders met twice over the weekend but failed to resolve their differences.

Barking Moonbat Of The Week

Face it. This guy is a total loser and a miserable pissant to boot. After all the hystrionics at his trial, now he decides he was kidding all along and had nothing to do with 9/11. In my opinion he deserves the death penalty just for being so damned stupid. Just another waste of perfectly good oxygen. I think we need to just go ahead and induct him into the Barking Moonbat Hall Of Fame and be done with it. Rot in jail, asshat!

imageimageMoussaoui Asks to Withdraw Guilty Plea

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP)—Convicted Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui says he lied on the witness stand about being involved in the terrorist plot and wants to withdraw his guilty plea and go to trial. The judge turned him down.

Moussaoui said he was “extremely surprised” that he was sentenced to life in prison instead of execution and now believes he can get a fair trial from an American jury.

“I had thought I would be sentenced to death based on the emotions and anger toward me for the deaths on Sept. 11. But after reviewing the jury verdict and reading how the jurors set aside their emotions and disgust for me and focused on the law and the evidence ... I now see that it is possible that I can receive a fair trial even with Americans as jurors.”

- More crap from this jerk here ...

Update: Some of you may have noticed the blog was offline in the last hour. No sweat. I was just doing a little maintenance work. There were no errors in our web pages or style sheets but there were a few warnings about nit-picking XHTML syntax. This couldnt’ cause Google to de-list but I wanted to make sure all the damn t’s were dotted and i’s crossed. You know what I mean.
