Friendly Natives

You have to know you’re one of the good guys when the natives living in a war-torn region hide you and shelter you from the other side. The only survivor of the recent SEAL attack in Afghanistan was sheltered and helped back to friendly lines by the Afghanistan people ....

WASHINGTON (CNN)—Afghan villagers sheltered a U.S. Navy SEAL wounded in a battle last month with the Taliban until they could get word to American forces to rescue him, a military official said Monday. The SEAL was part of a four-man reconnaissance team that went missing June 28 after calling for help during a firefight in the mountains near the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.

The other three members of the team died in the fighting, and a MH-47 helicopter crashed as it brought reinforcements, killing all 16 people on board. The military said it believes insurgents shot down the chopper. Military officials said a rocket exploded near the surviving SEAL, knocking him off his feet and down a mountainside in steep terrain. He then managed to stay out of sight of the insurgents, officials said.

The commando suffered multiple leg wounds but was able to walk about two miles (three or four kilometers) through the mountains to get away, according to a U.S. military official, who insisted on anonymity. An Afghan villager found the SEAL and hid him in his village, the official said. According to military accounts, Taliban fighters came to the village and demanded the American be turned over, but villagers refused. The SEAL wrote a note verifying his identity and location, and a villager carried it to U.S. forces, the official said. The note indicated to U.S. troops that they wouldn’t be entering into a trap. The commando was rescued July 3.

Go read Michelle Malkin’s coverage of the latest outrage from the Left Coast as depicted in the picture below. Remember what I’ve been telling you about the “enemy within”? Well, be prepared to get very angry ....

Move On, Please ….

Before we even have a nomination, the moonbats are beginning to assemble.

“It’s like the Howard Dean days,” says a lady who is standing over by the pool, eating a piece of sushi. And in form, at least, it is: groups of strangers meeting in suburban back yards or tiny downtown apartments on a Saturday night, telling stories of “how I got involved,” resuscitating that common enemy from the heady pre-election days, known in these circles as “the fascist government” or “the people destroying this country” or sometimes simply “Them.”

That’s my first thought when I’m upset with something the government does…go to a sushi party.

At Fazio’s party, guests get to say why they came. One talks about the nature of liberalism, another about being comfortable with yourself. They are drifting. “Folks, we really want to focus on the Supreme Court,” Fazio reminds them for the second time.

Focus people, focus!

Fazio gives it a try himself: “We have to send out, you know, what are they called? You know those things you sign?”

“Petitions!” someone yells out.

“Yeah! Go around and do the petition thing. Call 224-3121 and say, ‘Can I have Senator Warner’s office’ and then say, ‘Senator Warner, I’m against extremism.’ I’ve always found an intern will pick up the phone, and they’ll log it in. It’s a small thing but . . . ”

“The petition thing”???  Good grief.  I thought these guys were the experts in this sort of thing.

In an election, the broad outlines of the strategy are clear: Knock on doors, make phone calls, getting as many people to vote for your guy as possible. But the judicial nomination process does not welcome the activist style of democracy. Only 100 people get to vote. And President Bush gets to decide whom to nominate, period.

Bwahahahahahaha ....

The Origin Of Species

Request From The Skipper: Please compare the two pictures below. No particular reason. I just need a second opinion before I file this possible new species away. Anyone have a name in mind for this new creature? No, the one on the left. The one on the right is a miniature Stump-Tailed macaque ....

Britain Mourns

imageimageThe names of victims of last week’s terror bombings in London are starting to be released. Now, we all can put faces and names to go with those horrifying statistics of death and carnage by the terrorists who have declared total war on Western civilization. Yes, they are waging all out war, killing innocent civilians because they are cowardly bags of shiite who run from police and military forces, skulk in the dark corners of Western society and blow up women and children purely for the joy of killing Westerners. Theirs is not a religious quest, in spite of the propaganda and rhetoric to the contrary that theirs is a mission of “jihad”. Bullshit! Theirs is a mission of death and genocide.

What will it take to appease these murderous bastards? Simple .... surrender Western society to them entirely and give dominion of the world to a new Caliphate. Allah? They couldn’t care less about Allah or the Koran. That is simply a smoke screen for their appetite for power over all mankind. At one time, in the latter half of the first millennium A.D. (yes, I refuse to use that ridiculous “C.E.” - Current Era crap), these mad-men’s ancestors went raping, pillaging and plundering across the bones and scattered carcass of the Roman Empire, thundering their way across Africa and up into Europe before finally being driven back. The final stake was driven into this bloodthirsty mob when the Turks came storming out of Mongolia and Northern China and over-ran their sorry asses. The Turks kept them under control until the beginning of the Twentieth Century when the Byzantine Empire finally fell apart.

Now, they’re back and bent on the same domination. The only difference this time is there is not a fallen empire to walk across. This time there is a powerful Western civilization blocking their way. That Western civilization, however, has its own problem - rot from within caused by liberal appeasers and socialist mongrels who would prefer to bow down and subjugate themselves to this unholy invasion rather than fight for the right to live in peace. We who cherish our freedom and liberty have a war on two fronts: (1) the enemy without who is infiltrating our cities and towns, blowing up innocent civilians, women and children and (2) the enemy within who has introduced rot into society with their malignant thinking and torturous illogic to justify lying down and rolling over to these invaders, while practicing abnormal behavior in the name of “tolerance”.

“The time has come,” the Walrus said,
“To speak of many things:
Of shoes - and ships - and sealing-wax -
Of cabbages - and kings -
And why the sea is boiling hot -
And whether pigs have wings.”

Yes, the time has come, my friends to speak of many things. First and foremost is whether we have the stomach for the fight we find ourselves in. Are you willing to abandon all this talk of tolerance and appeasement and defend yourselves. Secondly, are you willing to tough it out until the end. We are all soldiers in this war on terrorism. The terrorists have made it so. You can’t run away from it. They will find you, wherever you hide. In New York, Jerusalem , Madrid, London, Baghdad, Kabul, Indonesia .... they will hunt you down and blow you up for the pure joy of putting more fear into your friends and neighbors. You see, fear gives them power over you and me. I refuse to give them that power. I do not fear these cowards. I loathe and despise them. I have no qualms about chasing them down and inflicting the most horrible tortures imaginable on them (broadcast on live TV worldwide). Gitmo is a mistake. Pampering the captured terrorists is nothing more than appeasement by another name. Pull out their fingernails, chop off limbs, feed them pork, make them live in a 4 ft by 4 ft cell knee-deep in their own filth. They’re animals and that’s how they should be treated.

The sea is already boiling hot. It’s time to see if pigs have wings ....

Do I sound too harsh for you, babe? Well, all I have to say is “tough shiite”. Look at the faces below and think about the innocent lives that were snuffed out in this mad war we find ourselves in. Just remember, we didn’t start it but we can damned sure stop it.

On the left below is Susan Levy, 53, from Cuffley, Hertfordshire . She is survived by husband Harry and son James. On the right is Helen Jones, a 28-year-old consultant for an equity company, who lived in Holloway. She was last heard from on Thursday morning by boyfriend Clive Brooks before she got on the Piccadilly line. What could these two ladies have possibly done to the terrorists or to anyone in the Middle East to justify their cold-blooded murder in the heart of one of Western civilization’s greatest cities? Answer me that ....

Snip Snip

Ever wonder why there are so many Moonbats out there and where they all come from? Me neither. However, there is a very good reason why there are so many in this case ....

(Sun-UK) A 20-YEAR-OLD father of SIX who lives off state handouts is getting the snip. But Mike Blake, a recovering alcoholic who has never worked in his life, says he will still stay at home and live off the family’s £800-a-month benefits. He claims looking after his kids with his unemployed wife Kathleen, 24, will always be his full-time job.

Blake first became a dad aged just 13 after a one-night stand with a girl. He met Kathleen in a pub when he was 15 and they got married the day before his 17th birthday. They are parents to Sarah, seven, Jordan, four, Courtney, three, Kia, two, and eight-month-old Stacey Leigh.

They all live rent-free in a three-bedroom house in Pontypridd, South Wales, where Blake also gets incapacity benefit for his drink problem. He says he used to drink 72 bottles of beer a day.

Now he has booked himself in for a vasectomy.

Too late. There are already six more highly probable moonbats already in the world.

Armed Citizenry

In Dry Ridge, Kentucky there is one home criminals need to avoid. Behind the door of that home is a 79-year-old man who ain’t takin’ no crap from would-be burglars and he has the .357 magnum to prove it ....

DRY RIDGE, Ky.—A 79-year-old man armed with a .357 magnum revolver shot two men after they broke into his home overnight, News 5’s Bina Roy reported. Police answering a call about a break-in and burglary found two men shot outside a home on Ellen Kay Drive in Grant County. The homeowner told police the two men kicked in his back door just before 5 a.m. Saturday. They tried to flee after being shot.

Police said they found one wounded man in the driveway and followed a trail of blood to the other man nearby. Nearby residents were stunned but supported their neighbor’s actions. “At that time in the morning, if I was in that situation, I might try to do the same thing,” Everett Musgrave told News 5. “I am glad he was able to protect himself. That’s the big thing. At least he’s not hurt.”

“He’s old school,” Lisa Garner said of her neighbor. “My grandfather would have done the same thing. “It bothers me because we have children. It bothers me that anybody would intrude into your home,” Garner said.

Musgrave had a message for anybody thinking about breaking into somebody’s home. “Yeah, don’t pick the wrong door,” Musgrave said.

AirCare helicopters flew the men to Grant County Hospital. Their names and conditions have not been released.

Request For Members

I would like to request nicely that all members please constrain your comments in the main blog page to the topic at hand. If you wish to go off into space with comment threads about scimitars, red shoes, buffalo, Dylan, disco, drugs, etc. then please take advantage of the discussion forums here. I have been looking forward to the addition of the forum software to alleviate this nuisance that has been bothering me for some time. I appreciate all your kind comments and I enjoy watching the interchange between the individuals who come here as well as participating myself.

However, it is occasionally embaressing to post something really interesting like our member Kristen going off on her education adventure at the USAF Academy and watching the comment thread degenerate into discussions of medieval attire and old pop songs. I have to wonder how Kristen’s father must feel when he views the remarks. In addition, there are critical posts like the weather reports that also get cluttered up with off-topic stuff. Consider this: people who are genuinely concerned about these topics have to wade down through all kinds of abstract comments to get real follow-ups on the topic.

The Discussion Forums have been created with several topic areas for your social and informational pleasure. There is even a General Discussion forum, where anything goes as well as a special “Sex, Drugs And Rock ‘n Roll” forum for those with, shall we say, “heightened libidos” and wild natures (you know who you are). There is also an “Open Discussion” forum that is wide-open and accessible to anyone who drops by, membership not required. As time goes by, I will appoint “moderators” for the various forums and pass along authority to certain individual members to monitor and moderate these forums. Members who are interested may choose a forum and submit your application at Captain’s Mast.

I wish to thank you all in advance for your cooperation and to thank you for making this blog such an interesting place to visit. You’re a great bunch of people and I sincerely hope you understand my reasons for this request.

Please note that this is a “nicely worded request”. You know what that implies ....

THANKS!

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
