WASHINGTON:: An adviser to Barack Obama resigned Friday after she called his Democratic rival, Hillary Rodham Clinton, a “monster.”
Samantha Power, an unpaid foreign policy adviser and Harvard professor, announced her resignation in a statement provided by the Obama campaign in which she expressed “deep regret.”
Her remark, in interview Monday with a Scottish newspaper, was published Friday even though she tried to keep it from appearing in print. “In Ohio, they are obsessed and Hillary is going to town on it, because she knows Ohio’s the only place they can win,” The Scotsman quoted her as saying. “She is a monster, too — that is off the record — she is stooping to anything.” As other news media picked up on the remark, Power issued a statement of apology and the campaign said Obama decried the characterization.
Are you fucking kidding me? What kind of pussy bullshit is this? Does the Obamamessiah really think politics is all sweetness and light? That nobody is going to have, or voice a negative opinion, and we’ll all be covered in happy puppies as the sun shines through a double rainbow every day? Turn your bottle of Evian water upside down, fruitcake. It spells NAIVE.
The comment threatened to become a big embarrassment for Obama, who has criticized what he calls negative campaign tactics by Clinton and has based his presidential bid in part on a theme of rising above political bickering.
It’s not that little missy wasn’t speaking the truth ... roughly 1 out of every 2 Americans agrees with her 100%.

Several of Clinton’s supporters called for Power to be fired. “Senator Obama has called for change, and a new kind of politics,” said Representative Gregory Meeks of New York. “This is the worst kind of politics.”
No you spineless twerps, the worst kind of politics is much MUCH meaner than that. This is diddly-do. Where’s the Vince Foster references? Where’s the “accidental hyperlink” in a press release that goes to one of those pages that list the 120 or so people who had the dirt on the Clintons and all mysteriously died? You little ninnies don’t know what “worst” means, not even close. You’re not even pushing the dirty money angle, or the vote buying, or the failed election promises, or anything about Bill ... oh no, dah ObaMassiah done rised above dat.
Well, good for him I suppose. (gosh, maybe its because he HAS to; would he lose big time if things went tit-for-tat?) But it seems like he drops his people the moment there’s the slightest bit of heat, and his “nice guy” campaign is a cover-up for a chickenshit weinie afraid of the smallest little confrontation. Oh yeah, I want a man like that for my president.
Wasn’t it another famous Democrat who said “If you can’t stand the heat, stay out of our circle of Hell the kitchen”? So he’s gonna go the nice guy path ... and do what? Run on his record? What record, he ain’t got one! No, he’ll just continue to toss meaningless platitudes to the brainless masses. “We are the people we’ve been waiting for! Hope! Change!!” Duh.
Don’t play his game McCain. Rip him to shreds. Make him cry like a baby, then slam his pretty boy face into the mat a few more times. And then remind people that mean words will be the nicest things our enemies will send in our direction. Hell, even Condi’s a tougher man than he is.
