Down with the man

Let’s see what the kids at DU are up to, shall we?

The fact the national guard is keeping people from FOOD shows we are NOT living in a democracy,the Rich people’s THINGS must be protected from starving people!!Remember the french revolution,the rich make sure the lower class suffers and is desperate,the middle class is scared of poor people,the soldiers are bribed obedient and loyal,. That is how they say rich and on our backs.

F*** all the corporate pigs. F***ing a**holes!

Disaster shows us the true use of our military is to PROTECT PROPERTY of corporations above human life, to keep the rich secure people DIE.

I say Eat the rich people if they will not let you get food.
Roast them on a spit and share the bounty.They have been fed on the finest organic foods.*sarcasm*

Hmmmm, the party of compassion rearing it’s ugly head again.  Let’s dive deeper into the mind if the duh-mented.

And A few hot plasma TV’s sold at a pawn shop ,could make for a couple months of prepaid existance..like food and rent an security deposit while you move out and look for work in a new place swarming with other refugees also looking for work while out of town.And in this shitty republican economy getting work is not so easy now..
Didya ever consider THAT might be a reason for stealing plasma TV’s?

At least there’s one sane guy in there trying to be reasonable:

Stealing for food to eat is one thing, but for a security deposit is quite another.

If that’s okay now why wouldn’t it be okay to steal for a security deposit or rent ANY time?

Accordigng to the Times-Picayune blog:

Those trapped in the city faced an increasingly lawless environment, as law enforcement agencies found themselves overwhelmed with widespread looting. Looters swarmed the Wal-mart on Tchoupitoulas Street, often bypassing the food and drink section to steal wide-screen TVs, jewelry, bicycles and computers. Watching the sordid display and shaking his head in disgust, one firefighter said of the scene: “It’s a f---- hurricane, what are you do with a basketball goal?” Police regained control at about 3 p.m., after clearing the store with armed patrol. One shotgun-toting Third District detective described the looting as “ferocious.”

“And it’s going to get worse as the days progress,” he said.

In Uptown, one the few areas that remained dry, a bearded man patrolled Oak Street near the boarded-up Maple Leaf Bar, a sawed-off shotgun slung over his shoulder. The owners of a hardware store sat in folding chairs, pistols at the ready.

Uptown resident Keith Williams started his own security patrol, driving around in his Ford pickup with his newly purchased handgun. Earlier in the day, Williams said he had seen the body of a gunshot victim near the corner of Leonidas and Hickory streets.

So it’s not the poor folks looking for food and water.  In fact, reports are that when those items are being taken, the action is overlooked.  It makes sense; they will spoil shortly anyway, so why not use them as soon as possible?  But plasma TV’s and Basketball goals?  Good grief.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot.
