Dire Predictions
I just had an interesting thought. Suppose the Mad Mullahs in Iran have a much more devious plan than building nukes with their newly acquired nuclear technology? What if their intention is get rich first, bring America to its knees economically and then develop nuclear weapons later?
Currently, oil production in Iran is at about 3.8 million barrels per day. However, Iran also uses about 1.2 million barrels per day internally to generate electricity and supply oil-related products to its own people. Hmmmmmm ....
With world oil prices reaching record highs ($53 per barrel), it would make sense to sell more oil overseas than to use it at home, right? How to do that? Answer, build 20 nuclear power plants to supply the country’s electrical needs and sell all of that $53 (and maybe higher) per barrel oil to the stupid Americans who are not building any more nuclear power plants and shutting down the ones they have while refusing to open up oil drilling in Alaska.
I smell a devious Mad Mullah plan at work here .... and the US is falling into their trap. In just a few years, they could be selling nearly 100% of their oil at highly inflated prices to the US, which will be held hostage by its dependence on foreign oil and lack of nuclear power plants to make up the difference. Currently, nuclear power plants in the US account for only 20% of electricity generated and that is dropping rapidly with plant closings. Add to that the removal of old, outdated hydroelectric dams and the refusal of environmentalists to accept drilling for oil in Alaska and their further refusal to allow more nuclear power plants to be built and what do you get????
Within twenty years the lights may go out all across America. Whale oil lamps will no longer be an option thanks to GreenPeace. Darkness falls ....
