ISLAMOPHOBIC

I am so damn tired of seeing that stupid word.  Amazing how easily the left has given the world a new word to hammer people who have good cause to genuinely fear a religion, in whose name a large number of dark age mental residents claim a god given right to slay those who aren’t members of their club.  Worse yet, to be declared with that peculiar phobia, one is automatically marked as belonging outside civilized society and even in some cases, criminal.

Dennis Prager put it well.

“One can rightly or wrongly fear islam or more usually aspects of islam, and have absolutely no bias against all muslims.
The term Islamophobia has one purpose – to suppress any criticism, legitimate or not, of islam.”

Which all leads to the article I found today.  It was at first mostly the chess aspect of the thing that caught my eye.

I’ll be honest.  Firstly, I look askance at western women white or otherwise who convert to a religion I think of as stone age.  That’s their choice but it confuses me as I don’t understand why a female would submit willingly to a religion in whose name so many are defamed and oppressed by and indeed even killed.  We are told by some that islam does not approve of the bad things done in its name any more then all Christians are responsible for the deeds done in its name.  Thing is, no group who claims to be representing any of the main religious groups in the west is busy declaring religious wars against non believers. They aren’t blowing themselves up in market places as happened yesterday.  They aren’t arming 8 yr olds and training them in the art of suicide bombing.  There isn’t one church in Christianity and not one rabbi of the Jewish faith nor Sikh or Hindu that I’m aware of, who has suggested to his followers that killing muslims or anyone else of a differing faith, was a great idea whose time has come. 

Both Jews and Christians have for some years come in for criticism as being well past their use by date.  Christians and Jews have seen comics make fun of and ridicule them and not once has a rabbi or minister or priest called for their immediate killing.
In fact, they haven’t even called for their censorship.  And where Christians may be questioned and their faith doubted by ppl like Bill Maher and the late great Christopher Hitchens and Dr. Starkey and Richard Dawkins, no church official has called for their censorship or demise by violent means.
Jews may have it even worse in many cases due to not just ridicule but actual hate.
But they haven’t burned any cities in the name of Jesus or whatever god it is that rules Jewish faith. 

That’s a long winded rant I wanted to get off my chest, and my way of saying I really do not believe all of this story as reported.  And one of the problems I have is the following line.

The problems started when the hotel where they were staying failed to provide his family with halal food or serve meals at times so that his wife and eldest son could observe Ramadan.

Could it be that the muslim family presumed a bit too much? Why should a hotel that must cater to many different people be obligated to have on hand special food for a group that perhaps they do not see all that often?  How about strictly kosher food for fundamentalist Jews? 
One of the problems with muslims of this type is, they fail to understand because they believe everyone everywhere MUST conform to and appease and meet their needs and demands as a god given right, is a major reason they are hated world wide.
And that’s not racism. That’s self invited disgust and dislike and for many, hate.

So I am not at all sympathetic to any of this family.
Why can’t they take their impossible to pronounce names and their Islamic beliefs to a muslim country where I’m certain they might be happiest.  Except for the white woman here who I’d bet if she lived in a place like Pakistan or Afghanistan might suddenly discover that, islam isn’t the light.  It’s a dark place. A very dark place.

English chess hit by race row over ‘abuse of young Muslim players’

A race row has engulfed the normally cerebral world of English chess after claims that three young Muslim players suffered abuse from parents of other competitors.

The father of the three brothers, aged seven, 10 and 13, alleged that they and their mother were bullied and ostracised by some members of the English delegation to a tournament in Austria.
Sohale Rahman claimed that his wife was spat at and that his eldest son was left bleeding after being assaulted in what he described as Islamophobic abuse.

The English Chess Federation said it was taking the allegations “very seriously” and had started an investigation.
Yousuf bin-Suhayl, 13, and his brothers Ibraheem, 10, and Ieysaa, seven, were selected to represent England at this month’s European Union Youth Chess Championships in Mureck, Austria.
The boys travelled to the tournament with their mother, Tomasina Contu, a white Muslim convert who wears a headscarf, as part of a group organised by the English Chess Federation.

Mr Rahman, from Marshland St James, Norfolk, said the problems started when the hotel where they were staying failed to provide his family with halal food or serve meals at times so that his wife and eldest son could observe Ramadan.

He alleged that the situation escalated, and some parents of other English children taking part in the competition ganged up on and bullied his family. Mr Rahman claimed that two of his sons were denied the chance to have lessons with an international chess master and that one father spat at his wife.

He alleged that tensions rose to the point where an English Chess Federation official warned his wife not to go back to the hotel where the families were staying because he “could not guarantee her safety”, and Mrs Contu had to call police to escort them there.

Mr Rahman claimed that on the final day of the tournament, one mother grabbed Yousuf and sank her fingernails into his chest, causing him to bleed.
He said his wife called Austrian police but was told that they would not investigate the incident because his son’s injuries were not serious enough.
Mr Rahman said he has complained to Norfolk Police about what happened in Austria, and an officer is due to take a statement from him today.

The Daily Telegraph understands that the English Chess Federation will conclude that, while there was a falling-out between some of the parents on the trip, there was no racism or Islamophobia involved.
Stephen Whatley, one of the other parents on the trip to Austria with the English delegation, rejected the allegations as “completely untrue”. He said: “We were the victims. We were victimised throughout the whole time we were there – not just us but other people as well.”
