The Redneck National Anthem …. all stand please.  Thank You.

Just seems to be my day to be the one being offended by the left and their bullying pc bs. And I see no end to it or them. Not in my lifetime anyway. Damn it that is depressing.

I HATE the pc world we live in and especially those self offended, self appointed guardians of the correct and only way to see and think and speak.

I defy anyone anywhere to show me an example of one ship during the era of slavery, that delivered slaves under the glorious and proud Stars and Bars. Not one.  Those slaves were originally brought to our shores under the flags of many nations including the USA.  So why aren’t all these highly offended negros and their guilty white idiot supporters calling for us to abandon the Stars and Stripes?
Now the word Redneck has to be apologized for also.  Read it all to find out why.

‘Redneck Day’ at Arizona high school causes uproar

An Arizona high school has come under fire from civil rights groups for holding a spoof “Redneck Day” to build team spirit ahead of end-of-year dance.

The event at Queen Creek High School, near Phoenix, split the school community, upset Black students, angered civil rights activists and unleashed a debate about free speech and racial stereotypes.

The teenage student council, whose plans were approved by school officials, insist that their only intention was to satirise Duck Dynasty, a reality TV show about a family of long-bearded, rural Louisianans who have made millions from their duck-hunting business.

One student however turned up draped in a Confederate flag, an emblem of regional pride in parts of the South but which for many is a racist symbol of slavery and segregation.

School officials said that the student came from another state where the Civil War flag was a more common sight. He was asked to change attire by a teacher and he explained that he had not meant to offend.

In a country where historical reminders of racial divides are still so potent, that did not end the controversy. The term “redneck” is also politically and racially loaded. It is traditionally derogatory slang for poor white farmers, but for some has connotations with bigoted rural conservatives.

Leading the criticism was Ozetta Kirby, a local leader of the National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People, America’s oldest civil rights organisation, whose grandson attends the school.

“I’m sitting here crying and praying,” Mrs Kirby, a church pastor, told The Arizona Republic. “That can break you down and make you feel at the bottom rung of the whole society, where everybody is being jubilant. No kid should have to go through that. We all know the connotation of ‘redneck’.”

The Queen Creek school board apologised for offence caused by use of the word.

The article reminded me of this song by an old friend who once recorded for RCA.  I have chosen this version because of a memory or two.

This version is NOT the studio recording.  Vernon was playing somewhere here in the UK, in one of the Country Music clubs dotted all over the UK from England to Wales.  American single acts playing gigs here, almost all one nighters and a hell of a grind, and were ALWAYS backed by a British band.  Always.
I used to arrange the booking with Brit agents who then booked the various clubs. 

I got to know Vernon well and he was very kind to me when I was out of work and as they say, in between gigs.  He gave me one of his western hats which I wore with great pride for a long time. Somehow, it got lost among the many moves we made.

You will note the dress among the audience in this video.  Brit fans dressed up this way in lots of clubs, they had fast draw contests firing blanks of course, and this was all in a the day when a gun firing blanks wasn’t a taboo.

Vernon and many acts like him had a very hard time getting air play on American Country radio stations, because they were thought to be, “TOO COUNTRY.”
So anyway ... here’s something that in it’s day was a hit record for Vernon Oxford.

A greeting card company hoping for a laugh used a doll meant for Muslim girls as the basis for a birthday card that depicts a headscarf-wearing little girl as a terrorist.

In a pink hijab, or headscarf, and flowered dress, a doll is depicted on the card saying things like ‘Pull string for message IF YOU DARE!’ and ‘She’ll love you to death!’ insinuating that the innocent-looking Muslim is a suicide bomber.

The card appears to be based on a real doll meant for actual Muslim girls.

The Aamina Muslim Doll, which speaks phrases in Arabic, is the brainchild of a mother who couldn’t find dolls that resembled her daughter.

‘It all started when my daughter was 2 ½ years old,’ writes founder Farzana Rahman on her company website.

‘I was trying to find toys that would help her to speak her mother tongue, Urdu. Failing to find anything, I embarked upon designing a talking Urdu doll myself.’

The doll, which has a male counterpart in the Yousuf doll, was the first of many products created by Rahman to celebrate Muslim and Arab culture with toys.

Aamina wears a pink hijab and a dress with flowers, just like the girl on the card.

That message has now been made into a joke by greeting card company NobleWorks Inc., a joke a Chicago-area Muslim rights group says plays upon hateful stereotypes.

The card was first released in 2011, but was only recently noticed by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in a Chicago novelty store.

‘Islamophobic generalizations and negative stereotypes often hit those who are most visibly perceived as Muslim,’ wrote Ahmed Rehab CAIR’s Chicago Monitor, ‘and women wearing the Hijab are often the group hit the hardest.

‘Many Muslim women around the world, certainly in the US, choose to wear the Hijab as a free-willed expression of modesty and self-respect. For them, it is a message that men should address their minds and not their bodies.’

I wonder what the outcome if some refused to wear the clothing of a med-evil religion. Yeah and medieval too.

NobleWorks, whose motto is ‘Dare to Laugh’ features an extensive line of politically-themed humor cards on its website.

‘I can only imagine folks and friends,’ writes Kanfi, ‘who receive or read our cards, can help but wonder as to whether laughing is the appropriate thing to do. But as our motto goes: “F**k ‘em if they can’t take a joke!"’

But as is usual these days, the bearded muzzies (and even their men) win another round.

CAIR responded in kind:

‘The notion that a doll, that looks like any other doll that any little girl in the world would play with, can be presented as a terrorist doll simply and only because it is a “Muslim” doll or because it has a “Muslim scarf” on its head is not what defines “funny” for a lot of people, but bigoted, ugly, idiotic, moronic, etc.’

The Muslim group said it has written an official letter to NobleWorks sharing its concern over the card they say exposes little girls ‘to messaging that criminalizes their basic identity for profit.’

The card appears to have been removed from the NobleWorks website.

As a ‘by the way’ may I ask why we can’t demand that foreigners with alphabet spelling for names change to pronounceable and spellable names as a courtesy to their host country and citizens.  Once upon a time they did.

The younger of the two Chechen Boston bomb suspects has been described as a ‘lovely and normal’ 19-year-old medical student who it appears was led to fundamentalism by his radicalized older brother.

Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, is still on the run and considered by law enforcement to be armed and extremely dangerous.

A picture emerged today of Dzhokhar as a diligent young man with a passion for Islam but who loved America and was a sociable school athlete and aspiring doctor.

What sparked his turn to terror and caused him to set off two bombs which killed three and injured 176 is unknown but he was undoubtedly influenced by his older brother and accomplice, whose radicalization was documented by his increasingly extreme internet posts over the last five months.

It has emerged Dzhokhar attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, former high school of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. More recently he was a medical student at the University of Massachusetts and a lifeguard at Harvard University.

He was described by family and friends as a party-loving guy, who was never a troublemaker and appeared grateful to America for taking in his family.

His father described him as a ‘true angel’ today as news emerged his two sons were terror suspects wanted for the atrocious attack on Boston on Monday.

Anzor Tsarnaev spoke with The Associated Press by telephone from the Russian city of Makhachkala.

‘My son is a true angel,’ he said. ‘Dzhokhar is a second-year medical student in the U.S. He is such an intelligent boy. We expected him to come on holidays here.’

His 26-year-old older son Tamerlan Tsarnaev was killed in a shootout with police late last night.

Tamerlan died in hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and possible blast injuries after a fierce gun battle late last night.

Both men were legal permanent residents of the United States who hailed from Chechnya, which has been plagued by an Islamic insurgency stemming from separatist wars.

Chechnya: A history of terror

Muslim militants from Chechnya have a long history of unleashing separatist terror attacks on Russia – but the allegations of involvement in the Boston Marathon explosions would mark the first time they have targeted the West.

Buried in the heart of Russia’s Northern Caucasus, the Islamic state has fought against Russian rule for centuries.

But it culminated in a bloody and chaotic civil war with the Russian government in 1994 that left tens of thousands dead and the region in ruins.

As a result, the area became a hotbed for extremism, and was soon infiltrated by foreign Islamic militants, including those with ties to al Qaeda.

Terrorists have since unleashed a string of attacks on Russian soil and, more recently, abroad.

Russian troops withdrew from Chechnya in 1996 after the first Chechen war, leaving it de-facto independent and largely lawless, but then rolled back three years later following apartment building explosions in Moscow and other cities blamed on the rebels.

Chechnya has stabilized under the steely grip of Kremlin-backed local strongman Ramzan Kadyrov, a former rebel whose forces were accused of massive rights abuses. 

But the Islamic insurgency has spread to neighboring provinces, with Dagestan, sandwiched between Chechnya and the Caspian Sea, becoming the epicenter of violence with militants launching daily attacks against police and other authorities.

On October 23 2002, over 40, mostly female, terrorists took more than 700 hostages prisoner at a Moscow theatre, demanding an end to the Russian presence in Chechnya. Dressed from head to toe in black hijabs, they became known as The Black Widows.

But when Russian security forces stormed the theater, guns blazing, the hostage takers responded by detonating homemade bombs strapped to their bodies, killing more than 100 innocent theater goers.

Then on September 1 2004, a group of 32 heavily-armed, masked men seized control of Middle School Number One and more than 1,000 hostages in Beslan, North Ossetia.

Most of the hostages were children aged from six to sixteen years old.

After a tense two-day standoff, that was beamed around the world, Russian forces raided the building.

A violent, two-hour gunfight followed bringing an end to a siege that ultimately claimed the lives of 331 civilians, 11 commandos and 31 hostage-takers.

The rebels have since claimed responsibility for an array of terrorist attacks, including last year’s double suicide bombing of the Moscow subway system that killed 40 people.

In March 2010, two women suicide bombers killed 40 commuters when they blew themselves up on two packed tube trains during the busy rush hour.

And in January a year later, a Chechen suicide bomber unleashed terror on Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport when they blew themselves up killing 36 people.

In recent years, however, militants in Chechnya, Dagestan and other neighboring provinces have largely refrained from attacks outside the Caucasus.

The allegations of the Caucasus men’s role in the Boston’s explosions would reinforce long-held claims by Russian officials that insurgents in the Caucasus have been linked to al-Qaida.

It’s my understanding that this fellow now works for the NRA. Or if not then I misunderstood but no matter.
I can’t pronounce his name but he has lots of stuff on YT.

one family - boston 2013 never the same again

Even a hard line right winger like me has to feel very sorry for this family. In fact, for all the injured people hurt in Boston. And especially the dead. Like the little 8 year old boy here with his family.

His mom shown here has brain damage, and the little girl shown below has lost a leg. The dad has to be devastated and we don’t know if the mother yet knows she lost her son and the damage to her little girl.  Probably not.  But looking at the photos on line, and these in particular, and with no feeling of ill nature or politics, I just could not help but look at the kid with his peace sign and think, a young mind being molded.  A future “peace activist” in the making. Because he won’t know any better and he’ll have been taught.  Peace. Yeah.  He was much too young to understand that his sign was preaching to the choir, and it’s that choir that has made it from hard to impossible to do away with the types of people who killed him.  But those on the left will go on singing “We are the world” and preaching diversity and love to all, while the ‘all’ continue trying to kill us all. 

There have always been evil people in the world. But these days, those evil people have the know how and access to the things that cause outrages like the London Tube attack and Boston and 9/11.  Meanwhile, the hot issue with many are those unreasonable Americans who still have not closed Gitmo. 

I am not posting the entire article. Just these photos by way of example of what I mean re. Peace.  We’d all of us I think like to have that. But it won’t come with signs carried by little boys who’ve been coached by adults, always on the left.

Obama’s snub to Thatcher: President won’t send envoy to funeral.

Well, perhaps had Mrs. Thatcher been of another religion and or race, Mr. O might have authorized someone to represent him and the American people.

Mrs. Thatcher was a staunch ally of ours, and I damn well think it’s outrageous that an official representing the USA isn’t there.
Yes, it is good to see Reagan ppl will be there.

On the other hand, maybe Obama doesn’t want to upset or get on the bad side of the lefties here.  ?? Ya think? Whatever.  She made her mistakes but was still a great lady and the best PM since Churchill.  This generation will NOT produce ppl like either of them. Certainly not in the time I have left I’m sure.

Friends and allies of Baroness Thatcher expressed ‘surprise and disappointment’ last night as it emerged President Obama is not planning to send any serving member of his administration to her funeral.

Whitehall sources have revealed that the US delegation at tomorrow’s service in St Paul’s Cathedral will be led by two Reagan era secretaries of state: James Baker and George Shultz.

Though President Obama himself had not been expected to attend, there had been speculation that he would be represented either by Vice President Joe Biden or wife Michelle. However, the Obama administration had said it would not be attending Thatcher’s funeral before the Boston bombings

The Queen’s decision to attend Lady Thatcher’s funeral has effectively elevated it to a state occasion unprecedented for a political figure in Britain since the death of Sir Winston Churchill in 1965.

Other world leaders, including Canada’s Stephen Harper, Mario Monti of Italy and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, are attending the service in person.

Police raid Boston home linked to burned Saudi student .

It’s still fairly early in places back home, but late in the afternoon here in he UK.
So, this is what came across my screen a few minutes ago. Which you may have seen already.

What a totally pointless outrage.  But what will make it worse is if they do manage to nail the right guys, and even if there is no possible doubt about guilt, the defense lawyers will be out in force spewing words of “rights” and things like,” lets not jump to wrong conclusions.” (OJ anyone?)

Then of course the usual delay after delay and all the fancy footwork as lawyers “act” out their game because everyone has a right to a defense.  Oh, and wanna bet suspects will be referred to as Mister.  Gotta show respect less one be accused of bias.

Detectives last night raided a home in Boston in connection with the explosions at yesterday’s marathon which killed three and injured more than 150.

Authorities are still unsure who was behind the blasts - which have been described as small, home-made devices - but have a number of leads which they are following.

Agents, including the FBI and bomb disposal officers, swooped on an apartment in the suburbs of the city after a man, said to be of Saudi origin, was arrested at the scene..

The 20-year-old suspect is under police guard in hospital, where he is being treated for burns and shrapnel wounds to his legs, after he was tackled to the ground by a civilian who believed he was acting suspiciously.

Police had said earlier on Monday that they were searching for a ‘dark-skinned or black male’ wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and a backpack in connection with the twin explosions.

Imam on “Human Rights Commission” plots to block Pam Geller’s talk on sharia.

Habeeb U. Ahmed, who is a vice president of the Islamic Center of Long Island.  More disturbingly, Ahmed is a member of the Nassau County Human Rights Commission.

And he is the central figure it’s reported here, to get a ban on Pam Geller speaking about the threat of Sharia Law, in a Jewish synagogue.

Hey ... we can’t have those F***** Joos speaking out in a synagogue. Can we?  Jeesh.  Now I’ve seen almost all there is to see.  A muzzie scumbag as part of a group of appeasing, like minded over accommodating sheep like idiots, deciding who should speak in a synagogue.  Or perhaps a different Jew who is more in line with the other side.  That I’m sure would be acceptable to this group.

I am going to digress to one moment here.
I’m looking at a double page spread with most of one side taken up in LARGE letters that says.

A mega mosque in a suburb that was 90% white 30 years ago and the polite apartheid dividing Britain.

Nail it to your fridge and see where your city is in the next 30 years. And btw ... the series is written by a liberal (David Goodhart, Daily Mail) who has said, whoops. I think we may have got it wrong.  Just thought I would drop that in here.

Imam on “Human Rights Commission” plots to block Pam Geller’s talk on sharia at Long Island synagogue

Pamela Geller has been speaking out for years about the dangers of the political ideology which drives Muslim societies and cultures and especially Islamic countries, known as Sharia, or Sharia law. The message she delivers and the style in which she does it inspires fierce loyalty and also fierce hatred, with large numbers in each group.

Geller, of course, is the creator, publisher and editor of the popular blog Atlas Shrugs, and is the executive director of American Freedom Defense Initiative and Stop Islamization of America.  She is also the author of several books, the latest one, “Freedom or Submission: On the Dangers of Islamic Extremism & American Complacency.”

There is currently a desperate battle being fought on Long Island by an imam – who is also a human rights commissioner of Nassau County – and members of an interfaith group to bar Geller from speaking at a local shul. The group, which includes several local religious leaders, refer to Geller as the equivalent of a Nazi or “an anti-Semite who claimed that Jews were trying to impose kosher laws on the nation.”

The men’s club of the Great Neck Synagogue invited Geller to speak at the shul, which she will do on April 14, at 10:00 a.m.  Her topic is “The Imposition of Sharia in America.” Geller will be introduced at the talk by Greg Buckley, whose son, Lance Cpl. Greg Buckley, Jr., was one of three U.S. Marines killed in a “Green on Blue” insider attack on a military base in the Helmand province, Afghanistan, on Aug 10.

According to Geller’s website, “The Marine Corps presented Geller with the flag flown on September 11, 2011, over Camp Leatherneck, ‘amid the battlefields of Afghanistan during decisive operations against enemy forces in Helmand Province.’”

Despite clear support from U.S. marines, the Long Island interfaith group is nonetheless convinced that Geller should be barred from speaking.

The individuals who organized the wave of protest calls to the synagogue include Tom Goodhue, who is the executive director of the Long Island Council of Churches, Robert Nuxoll, a representative of the Interfaith Alliance of Long Island and a member of The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Shelter Rock as well as Claire DeRouche, also a member of UUCSR.  Both Goodhue and Nuxoll compared Geller to Nazis in their efforts to convince the rabbi of the shul to prevent Geller from speaking.

The central figure in the effort to get the rabbi at the Great Neck Synagogue to bar Geller at the gate is Habeeb U. Ahmed, who is a vice president of the Islamic Center of Long Island.  More disturbingly, Ahmed is a member of the Nassau County Human Rights Commission.

The Jewish Press asked Ahmed on Friday morning why he, as a member of the Human Rights Commission, feels it is appropriate to try to bar someone from speaking.

“Geller goes after Sharia law and it is like asking an anti-Semite to come into a mosque.” When pressed on whether he plans to attend the talk or just wants to bar Geller from speaking, Ahmed responded: “free speech is not absolute, and Geller’s speech is like yelling fire in a crowded theater – that is not protected.”

Geller, not surprisingly, disagreed. She told The Jewish Press,

What I do is not comparable to yelling fire in a theater – that is the practice of claiming that there is a problem when there is not one.  What I am doing is yelling fire when there is a fire.  Ahmed is trying to convince people that there is no threat from jihadists and Islamic supremacists, which is like telling people in a burning theater that there is no fire, and they should stay in their seats and watch the show.

Ironically, Geller just gave a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference last week, the focus of which was that Americans are losing the right to free speech because too many are afraid to criticize radical Islam, Sharia and jihadism.

However, the rabbi of Great Neck Synagogue, Rabbi Dale Polakoff issued the following statement, which he says is the final word on the matter:

Great Neck Synagogue rejects the categorizing of any religious majority based on the actions of a minority. It does though believe that it is appropriate, and within the tenants of free speech, to speak about the actions of such a minority and to evaluate their impact on the perception of the majority of their co-religionists, and on the community in general. refused asylum in the USA. apparently the wrong racial group.

Silly white folks. I guess they could be forgiven for not knowing how things work.
Had they darkened their skin and spoken really bad ginglesh, they’d have been allowed in.

Maybe they can re-enter using the border with Mexico. That seems to work for millions of others. But they’ll need a really good tan of course.

White SA family refused asylum

Johannesburg - A white South African family has lost their court bid for asylum in the US, the Sunday Times reports.

The family, a couple with two children originally from Durban, claimed they were in danger in South Africa because another family member had been racist and his victims wanted revenge.

“This is not about black versus white. It’s about them being specific targets of retribution from victims of another person’s racism,” the family’s lawyer Errol Horwitz told the newspaper.

He said the family’s paternal grandfather had allegedly abused his employees at a construction company in South Africa.

His daughter-in-law testified in US courts that, as a result of his alleged racism, her dog was poisoned, human faeces thrown at their home, she was threatened, and her daughter was the victim of an attempted kidnapping.

However, this week, a request for a new appeal hearing was turned down by three judges of the US Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Previously the court had ruled that since the grandfather had retired, there would be no credible threat against the family.

The family has spent 15 years involved in various court actions to try and gain asylum. Horwitz said the children were likely to gain US residency through other legal avenues.

However the parents were now “effectively undocumented migrants. The family is devastated by this decision.”

Please note folks, I have written to Drew at this address before and it’s been received. But something really weird is going on down there.
First signs of declining civilization, the mail gets screwed up.  All down hill from there.

another piece of Hollywood’s Brit-bashing junk history that casts us in a poor light.

I didn’t see the movie, and doubt I will til it appears on DVD.  But I do know there is truth to this claim of distorted history. It would be unimaginable that Brits would turn Americans in danger, away.  Yes I know.  It’s only a movie. But.  No. It isn’t “only” a movie.  It is telling the story of an American escape from mindless, violent idiots, who think their god requires that they stick their collective asses in the air in order to pray. But never mind all of that.
Brits have been, according to what I am reading in the papers here, badly used.  If you have seen this movie, perhaps you can enlighten the Brits and Americans like myself.  This was not just something added for theatrics.  Like a car chase added to a movie to make it more exciting. And btw, they did that here too although there was no chase.  But that’s forgivable and easy to understand.  Less forgivable I think is to portray the Brits as the movie does.  The Brits WERE NOT the heavies in this saga folks.  But you can bet that there are a million Americans who having seen this will believe it’s the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but.

I’ve watched the trailer, and if the loud screaming vocal that’s supposed to pass for music is a large part of the background, I may never see this film. I guess screaming the lyrics means the singer has ‘soul.’ What rubbish!

What does Hollywood have against the British? Once again on Oscar night, Tinsel Town gave warmly to us with one hand — while cynically taking away with the other.

The good news is that at least nine Britons will fly back across the Atlantic with coveted golden statues.

But the bad news is that Argo — the movie that won Best Film — is yet another piece of Hollywood’s Brit-bashing junk history that casts us in a poor light.

Although the movie is a cracker — tense and terrifying — like so much that comes out Hollywood, Argo plays fast and loose with the facts. And unsurprisingly, the Brits are given a real pasting. For, according to the Affleck version of the rescue mission, the six embassy staff were refused refuge by British diplomats. ‘Brits turned them away,’ says a senior CIA character in the film.

You can imagine the outraged comments over industrial buckets of popcorn in movie theatres from Alabama to Alaska. ‘Goddamn Limeys! So that’s what we get for bailing them out during World War II.’

The truth, however, could not be more different. The British did give their American colleagues sanctuary. Far from being cowards, the Brits were heroes. Many of the British diplomats then stationed in Iran are still alive — and they’re fuming.

‘When I first heard about this film, I was really quite annoyed,’ says Sir John Graham, 86, who was our man in Tehran at the time of the crisis. Sir John is understandably concerned that Argo will become accepted as the definitive history of what happened. He may have a point.

Islamists Mobilize Support in West to Criminalize Criticism of Islam.

Caught this in a newsletter. Not too surprising and we all knew things were heading this way. 

Some problems here, will write about later.

So now the Soviet Union no threat and hasn’t been since they imploded, but we are I think, faced with possibly worse.
I mean, at least we could talk to the Soviets.  Sort of.  I doubt we much believed what the other one said.  But they weren’t stuck in another century flying planes into buildings or blowing up cars among crowds of ppl.

And nobody I recall wanted to make being anti Soviet a crime of any kind in the west.

And oh btw just to make things really sticky and sad.  Germany is monitoring web sites that are critical of muslim immigration. 

Message to any Germans reading this.
You need to reclaim your country by ANY means, which the end will properly justify.

Islamists certainly do not want the American public to consider the current international campaign to make inspection of Islamism a crime.

In January, journalists and journalism students were invited to a conference in Istanbul where Turkish deputy undersecretary Ibrahim Kalin announced that the Turkish government “has been working on projects to have Islamophobia recognized as a crime against humanity.”

Prime Minister Erdogan committed the Turkish government to “immediately start working on legislation against blasphemous and offensive remarks” and bragged that “Turkey could be a leading example for the rest of the world on this.”

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s secretary general, Ekmeleddin Ihsanoğlu, is pushing for new “legal instruments” to deal with Islamophobia and plans “efforts to mobilize international support to deal with the issue.”

In apparent coordination with efforts in the U.S. to suppress speech he “wants to mobilize the highest possible political support not only from OIC countries but also from the West.”

At last week’s Twelfth Session of the Islamic Summit Conference, in Cairo, Ihsanoğlu commended “the adoption of Resolution 16/18 [the Istanbul Process] which condemns discriminatory practices against Muslims,” and he claimed that “the OIC has come to a crossroads in its search for radical solutions to hatred based on religion and belief (emphasis added).”

After the recent “Innocence of Muslims” YouTube controversy and the resultant Muslim riots, I visited a Southern California mosque and had a conversation with the chairman of its board. When I inquired as to his position on free speech he replied that the criminal punishment for offending Muslims should be equal to that for burning a mosque.

So far, America’s institutions have chosen to defer the moment that the American culture must be defined and defended. Islamists have stepped into the void.

For instance, at Islamists’ behest, the DOJ, FBI, and Department of Homeland Security have purged from counterterrorism manuals references to the connection between Islamic radicalism and jihadist terror. Many city- and county-level agencies have followed suit. If our law-enforcement agencies cannot stand up to the threat, how can we expect the media to?

The Democrats never change their ideas; they change the voters.

This is from an Ann Coulter column which I have edited somewhat.

I guess this caught my eye cos it is so darn personal to us.  I won’t go into the whole boring story again, except to say my wife falls into that category of foreigners waiting in line. Although she went through that once many years ago, when it was even harder to get in and there were quotas.  So it’s personal.  And she hasn’t even gotten to the stage where she even joins a line.  She isn’t too sure she wants to anymore either. Age and health have taken their toll, travel is difficult and that’s putting it mildly.  She’s content I think, to visit when and if we are able and come in as a visitor.  Now that may appear lazy to some but please trust me.  You have no idea unless you’ve been through the grinder, how difficult our immigration can be, and how many hurdles are put in place.  But that’s only for the law abiding person and not just white ones I want you to know.  Although it’s damn well apparent there are some who seem to have an automatic green light. 

Coulter is right and we all know it with regard to the voters.  I heard a very interesting conversation on the radio on just this subject.  That is, the new American voter with growing power.  And they are NOT white.  They are Hispanic, and they tend to vote for Democrats.
Well of course they would. They’re voting their own interests, which people do.  But they seem happy to be citizens while also remaining aliens.  That doesn’t apply to all by any means.  It certainly wasn’t true of my former wife some 46 or more years ago. But the times and the thinking among many were far different, then what they are today.

Rubio’s Amnesty: A Path to Oblivion for the GOP

IT’S NOT AMNESTY! Rubio’s proponents cry. They seem to think they can bully Republicans the way the Democrats do, by controlling the language.
Rubio’s bill is nothing but amnesty. It isn’t even “amnesty thinly disguised as border enforcement.” This is a wolf in wolf’s clothing.
Despite all the blather about how Rubio demands “Enforcement First!” the very first thing his proposal does is make illegal aliens legal. (Don’t call them “illegal aliens”!)

The only thing the newly legalized illegal immigrants won’t get immediately is citizenship. Rubio claims that under his plan, they won’t be able to vote or go on welfare. But in practice, they’ll have to wait only until the ACLU finds a judge to say otherwise.

Even under Rubio’s scheme, all the children born to the 11 million newly legalized illegals will be instant citizens, able to collect welfare for their whole families and vote as soon as they are old enough.

Which won’t be long: The vast majority of illegal aliens are Hispanic, and Hispanics have a higher teen birthrate than any other ethnic group. In California, a majority of all Hispanic births are illegitimate. That’s a lot of Democratic voters coming.

And look how great that’s turned out! With Hispanics on track to become the largest ethnic group in California this year, the state that gave us Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan is incapable of electing any Republican statewide anymore. Taxes keep going up, and there’s no one left to pay the bill.

That will be our entire country if Republicans fall for Rubio’s phony “Enforcement First!” plan. Perplexingly, some Republicans seem determined to turn the whole nation into California, in the foolish hope of winning one last election.

No border can be secure when the pot of gold on the other side is an American green card. (Again playing games with language, Rubio doesn’t call the right to legally live and work here a “green card,” but in practical effect, that’s what it is.)
So when exactly does the enforcement part of Rubio’s “Enforcement First!” plan kick in? Answer: Never.

Or rather, enforcement becomes both impossible—because nothing will stop them if legalization is the lure—and irrelevant—because there’s no penalty for leaving the border wide open.

Even if enforcement “fails,” are the 11 million illegals already legalized by Rubio going to be asked to leave? Of course not.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is a Republican who—as a Princeton and Harvard Law graduate—does not yearn for “strange new respect” from the elites. This week, he said of Rubio’s amnesty plan: “To allow those who came here illegally to be placed on such a path is both inconsistent with rule of law and profoundly unfair to the millions of legal immigrants who waited years, if not decades, to come to America legally.”
If only other Republicans didn’t ride the tea party to victory before realizing they really just want to be John McCain.

one for the books?

Whoa there.  Hold on a minute. What the heck is it with this? Is it some kind of weird joke I just don’t get?

Another one of those articles I ran across while looking for something else.

Scrolling through past headlines at the Mail looking for an important story I managed to lose a day or two ago, I found this bizarre story with origins in the USA.

I do not recall seeing it here at BMEWS, nobody has mentioned it that I’ve seen, and so I stopped my search for the other to share this.
If anyone reading has an update, let us know. It’s 5am where I am and I plan on shutting down after this post.

Neighbor who shot dead pit bull mauling 11-year-old boy could face charges

A man who fatally shot a pit bull as it viciously attacked an 11-year-old boy with two other dogs could face charges for violating Washington D.C.’s gun laws.

The young boy, who has not been identified, was riding a new bike on his home street in the Brightwood neighbourhood on Sunday when he collided with a pack of unattended pit bulls.

The dogs immediately began attacking him, sinking their teeth into his arms, legs, stomach and chest, and leaving him in need of surgery.

A neighbour, who has also not been identified, witnessed the attack, ran into his home and grabbed his handgun to shoot at the dogs, the Washington Times reported.

A police officer who heard the gun shots raced to the scene and shot the other two dogs, stopping the attack, a police report noted.

While he may have saved the life of the boy - who later underwent surgery on his wounds - the man could face charges for firing his gun on a D.C. street, rather than on his personal property.

If authorities do charge the man, he could face up to a year behind bars and a $1,000 fine.

The man who had left his dogs unattended was cited for failing to leash his dogs and for ‘menacing people’ which could carry a total of just $175 in fines.
