the shrine of the Blessed Barack ….

I’ve been reading this lady for awhile, and find she’s right most of the time. Of course, by her lights I’m sure she always correct on the things she writes about.
Sometimes I suspect she’s more conservative then I am, without being so extreme which in anger I tend to be at times.

A couple of years ago, she appeared on American TV for a Fox News program. I forgot which one.  I listen to her on BBC Radio, she has a great speaking voice and flawless delivery.

Well, today I think she outdid herself.  I think this is the best column I’ve read by her, and I have read a lot.
I won’t post the whole column but hope you will see the rest at the link provided.  Just click on Melanie Phillips. It’s worth reading it all and I really think #10 and friends should be reading her too. Of course they won’t. And what she says about Labour possibly getting back in while scary, has a lot of truth in it if things play out as she says they could.  Question is, will Conservatives but especially Mr Cameron who is referred to as conservative lite, wake up in time.

This is no time for chillaxing, Dave. Even Labour looks more Tory than you

By MELANIE PHILLIPS

Maybe if the Prime Minister raised his eyes for a moment from playing Fruit Ninja on his iPad, and also paused from adoring at the shrine of the Blessed Barack, he should look behind him and worry.

Ed Miliband has been an object of scorn and derision for Conservatives from the moment he was elected leader of the Labour Party.

Recently, he appointed Jon Cruddas, described by Tories as a Left-wing union stooge, to take charge of the party’s policy review and thus be responsible for setting Labour’s course for the next general election.

t the same time, we read that Tony Blair hopes to make a come-back into British political life. Some may be tempted to greet this particular news as the political equivalent of the Return Of The Mummy.

Coupled with Cruddas’s appointment, it may lead them to conclude that the Labour Party is now lurching ever deeper into la-la-land and political irrelevance.

They could not be more wrong.

The appointment of Cruddas is an inspired move. Writing him off as a Left-winger is to miss the point by a mile.

For Cruddas possesses one very important insight which has so far quite eluded David Cameron and his band of muddled modernisers.
Cruddas realises that if socialism is to have any appeal, it must adopt a platform of social conservatism.

Some may be confused by this. How can socialism be conservative?

Very simply: by connecting to people’s experience of how the world actually is, rather than trying to reshape that world into some pre-ordained idea of how it should be.

Unlike so many on the Left, Mr Cruddas does not shudder at the purportedly knuckle-dragging views of ordinary people.

On the contrary, he respects their attachment to nation, family, community, tradition — all the things, in fact, that the Left has been busily tearing to shreds.

While others demonise the white working class as racists if they complain that immigrants are taking their jobs, Mr Cruddas sympathises with their situation and their anguish at the break-up of traditional communities.

Criticising his own party’s indifference to these matters, he has called for tougher immigration controls.

In similar vein, he strongly sympathises with public anger over the denial of a democratic voice on ever-deeper European union. As a result, he champions a referendum on whether or not Britain should stay in the EU at all.

With public fury over the EU growing exponentially by the day, if Labour calls for such an in/out referendum this will badly wrongfoot the Prime Minister.

As it happens, not that long ago opposition to EU membership was a core position of the British left, not the right.

And when at the beginning of the 20th century the Labour Party famously ‘owed more to Methodism than Marx’, its hallmark was social conservatism — something that Cruddas, who teaches Labour history at Oxford, understands better than most.

The idealism of the Left was based then on the belief that strong families and deep attachments to community and nation were essential for a decent society, and to improve the life-chances of ordinary people.

You don’t have to endorse Cruddas’s union links to realise the importance of a society with deep roots, in which people believe in something beyond their own wants and needs.

And that’s where the return of Blair is potentially so very significant. For just like Cruddas, Blair’s great insight was that to win power he had to promote such socially conservative values.

The soundbite that gave him the party leadership, ‘Tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime’ conveyed the fact that he understood — just like Cruddas — that many were living in a state of siege from crime and disorder, and that he identified with the desperate desire for order and security.

Similarly, once he became leader he pronounced that he would stop the plunge in education standards and also end ‘something for nothing’ welfare dependency.

Of course, once in office things didn’t work out like that. Education and welfare reforms ran into the sand. And far from conserving and protecting what people cherished about their society, Blair set about reshaping it in order to create a utopia of the brotherhood of man.

Hence his insistence that all family lifestyles — married, one-parent, gay — were equally desirable. Hence also his promotion of the oppressive PC agenda of self-proclaimed ‘victim’ groups and hate crime laws, in the apparent belief that prejudice could be eradicated from the human heart.

The genius of Tony Blair — and it was political genius — was to understand that elections can only be won on the true centre ground, which means respecting the innate social conservatism of the public.

And so now Cameron faces the prospect of a Labour opposition that is more Right-wing than he is — and which may come to power as a result.

‘I am the heir to Blair,’ Cameron famously said. In his dreams. He never even understood what that meant.

This has to be my only post for today. Apologies to all.

how’s this for a do it yourself project?

Wow .... take a look at what this fellow has done.

Talk about a do it yourself project.  Brilliant.

It started with this.

image
An old (130 years) rail coach which wasn’t allowed to be moved. So, his ex FIL built a home around it and got this.

image
But apparently the coach his FIL bought needed lots of restoration and lots and lots of work. Which this man took on.

Is this the strangest home in Britain? The bungalow that’s built around a 130-year-old railway carriage

Jim Higgins’ ex father-in-law had to build around the carriage because bizarre planning rules said it had stood for so long it could not be moved

Mr Higgins is now restoring the former Great Western Railway carriage to possibly open to the public

By MATT BLAKE

When it comes to building a comfortable bungalow, Jim Higgins has got the inside track.

The retired transport manager, 60, has one of the most unique houses in Britain… because it is built around a real railway carriage.

The property in Ashton, Cornwall, is a fully functioning house but bizarrely has the fully restored 130-year-old Great Western Railway car within its walls.

Mr Higgins, 64, originally from Buckinghamshire took over the property from his former father-law Charles Allen who was forced to build it around the railway carriage because bizarre planning regulations meant the train could not be moved.

Mr Higgins said: ‘The railway carriage was lived in by a local woman Elizabeth Richards from 1930.

‘It was known as Lizzies Place to when she died in 1966.

‘It then stood empty for a number of years until my ex-father-in-law came down looking for somewhere to retire.

All the other photos are HERE and I think you might be impressed.

worthy of a prize. yeah, but what kind? stupid doesn’t cover it.

Howz this in the category of one for the books?

If this doesn’t paint the picture of just how stupid things can get, then nothing else will.
This is a letter to the editor from a retired woman. And boy I’d say she has a problem. I only wish there was a follow up done cos I’d like to know what happened over time.
Under the headline …….

BAD ADVICE, was the following. Take a look.

image

I’m a pensioner whose mother died last year, after which I decided initially, to rent out her house.

A married couple with three children moved in last October, but as I wanted to put the house up for sale I gave them notice.

Then the husband walked out, and the rent stopped being paid.  The wife has now been advised by the (town) council to squat in the house.

How can the council tell someone to do something so wrong?  What’s happening when the authorities are recommending such behavior?

sun has set on the empire museum

Caught this today and find it depressing. What a shame. And meanwhile the most famous warship the world has ever known, The Victory, will be turned into a high end restaurant to raise money to maintain this greatest of all fighting ships, while the govt. sends billions of dollars in foreign aid. What crap.
I hate to see all that happen and even more the ppl who continually say sorry for the Empire. Jerks!

Sun sets on the only museum dedicated to the British Empire because of the nation’s dislike of colonial past

By MAIL ON SUNDAY REPORTER

The country’s only museum dedicated to the glories of the British Empire has closed for good.

The British Empire and Commonwealth Museum has been forced to sell its premises in Bristol and give up its collections because of public antipathy towards the country’s colonial past.

Sir Neil Cossons, chairman of the museum’s board of trustees, last night blamed the demise on ‘post-imperial angst’.

He said: ‘I think the time has not yet arrived for the proper story of Empire and Commonwealth to be told.’

Although attitudes to Empire were improving, he said it was still an ‘unfashionable subject’ and ‘more healing of time’ was required.

The museum opened in Bristol in 2002 but closed in 2008. It was hoped that selling the building would pay for the collection to move to London.

But despite fetching £3.1 million, the museum failed to find a home in the capital.

Now its 50,000-strong collection of written records, photographs, film clips, paintings, letters and artefacts has been gifted to Bristol Museum.

Last week three Lord Lieutenants, who advise the Queen on the awarding of honours, said the term Empire should be removed from awards such as the OBE and CBE because it was anachronistic.

okay, there could be a valid case made for the term Empire since there no longer is one.

a nationwide ban on lead ammo?  some say yes.

I don’t think you’ll be surprised but it’s interesting to note how they word things with this subject.
It’s a bit long so I’ll only post an edited version.
For all of it for those interested, as always see the link below.

‘An attack on country sports’ ...anger at Wildfowl Trust’s bid to ban lead shot

By VALERIE ELLIOTT

A leading conservation charity is at loggerheads with its pro-shooting president, Prince Charles, after launching a campaign calling for a nationwide ban on lead shot.

The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT), which also has the Queen as patron, is calling for a ban on the shot used in game shooting – despite the risk of offending members of the Royal Family who enjoy this traditional country sport.

The move has revived tensions in the countryside, seven years after the foxhunting ban.

Chef Marco Pierre White is among many people convinced it is an attempt to attack game shooting.

The British Association for Shooting and Conservation and the Countryside Alliance have been angered by the move and insist there is no scientific justification for a lead shot ban.

They claim it would harm an industry worth almost £2 billion to the national economy.

Farmers are also concerned the higher price for non-lead shot will drive up the cost of controlling rabbits, foxes, pigeons and rooks on farmland.

A typical pack of 25 cartridges filled with lead shot costs about £7 while a pack with non-toxic shot made of the metal bismuth costs about £34.

Cheaper steel shot is sold for about £5 a pack – but this high-velocity ammunition is not suitable for many older guns because there is a risk the barrels could explode.

The controversial WWT strategy is revealed in papers leaked to The Mail on Sunday.

It has triggered particular anger because the charity is widely supported in the shooting community.

The WWT was established by conservationist Sir Peter Scott in 1946 at the Slimbridge nature reserve in Gloucestershire and now has eight sites in the UK.

Mr Pierre White, a keen shooter, said: ‘People have been shooting with lead for generations, why would you want to change it?

‘If you want to talk about pollution, let’s talk about petrol and industry. The bottom line is that they are trying to ban shooting.’

here we go again

Well, here we go again.
What is it with our society?  Why are we allowing the anarchists to have their way.  It isn’t even really about capitalism altho I’m sure that plays a part.
No. It’s simply about disruption and going as far as they are allowed to go.  Which seems to be quite a bit.

It could be handled so easily however.  The police know who and where the ringleaders are. Surely there are special squads who could go after them and eliminate the vermin. Cut the head off the snake.

Then as to the rest, flame throwers and machine guns would do very nicely provided nobody left above ground to come back and do it again.
Could work if only the powers that leach had the guts and the heart.

The cast majority of “Occupy” have never had a job, have never paid any tax, they bleed the system for benefits, cost local councils a fortune for policing and clearing up after them and then have the cheek to talk about the deficit. Do they know what they are protesting about, do they offer an alternative set of policies, no they are upset that their way of life (not working and living on handouts) might be under threat. Rather than being jealous of those that work hard they should try it.

They’re back: Occupy protesters return to St Paul’s cathedral as hundreds gather for protest rally

Minor skirmishes break out between police and protesters
St Paul’s cathedral remained open to tourists

By RICHARD HARTLEY-PARKINSON

Anti-capitalism protesters from the Occupy movement have begun a new protest in the City of London.

It is part of a global day of action seeing thousands of people rallying in cities including Moscow, New York, Athens and Madrid, organisers said.

Several hundred people have gathered outside St Paul’s Cathedral for a rally before ‘visiting the 1%’ at the offices of some of the largest firms in the financial heart of the capital.

There were some minor skirmishes between protesters and police as they marched through the City.
Officers had briefly encircled the protest after it moved down Fleet Street and into Fetter Lane, causing some protesters to break through the police line.

image

An Occupy spokesman said: ‘Nowhere in Europe is the unequal distribution of wealth as striking as in the UK.

lots more here, photos

‘The richest 1,000 persons, just 0.005% of the adult population, increased their wealth by £155bn over the last three years.

‘That is enough for themselves alone to pay off the entire budget deficit and still leave them with £30bn to spare.

‘“We’re all in this together” never rang so hollow. Whilst the rest of the country is being crippled by austerity, the very same people who caused the crisis are now sitting on wealth even greater than what they had before the crash?’

City of London Police said it had a ‘proportionate’ operation in place around the peaceful demonstration. St Paul’s Cathedral remains open to tourists.

it’s always about race

It’s the way of things nowadays, so it’s not a surprise.

Bru-ha ha over here because an Asian gang, and by Asian specifically men from Pakistan and one from Afghanistan, arrested for the use and abuse of a number of girls, all white, and one it is reported as young as 13. They then shared with other men so you get the picture. The police say it wasn’t about race but about sex.
No folks you know things have come to a pretty miserable pass when a muslim spokesman has to speak for white folks.
He says out loud what everyone except the libtard left has known for awhile.  Authorities are so worried about being branded with the ‘R’ word that certain subjects aren’t being discussed.

An obsession with racism that left vulnerable girls at the mercy of sex predators
By MOHAMMED SHAFIQ

And while you’re at it, take a gander at some of the animals involved. Now some of the girls it can be argued should have known better. Some are claiming they didn’t, til it was too late.  But rape is rape period and getting girls drunk and then abusing them is vile. Even if the girls weren’t white, it’s vile.

READ ALL HE HAS TO SAY ON THE SUBJECT

Border staff stop and search white air passengers to ‘even up racial mix’

Report finds white passengers are searched to balance out other ethnicities

By JACK DOYLE

White air passengers are routinely stopped and searched by customs officials simply to ensure the right racial ‘mix’ of travellers are being approached, a report reveals today.

It found staff searching for illegal goods at Gatwick Airport selected white passengers to balance the numbers against black and other ethnic minorities they suspected to help avoid race discrimination complaints.

Details of the practice are exposed in one of two highly critical reports by John Vine, chief inspector of the UK Border Agency, who said it was unlawful and must stop.

The second, criticising Heathrow Terminal 3, raised concerns about queues at the borders and found staff were allowed to clock off at some of the busiest times, resulting in long delays for passengers.

Targets for queuing times for passengers from outside the European Economic Area were breached 62 times between September 18 and 30 last year.

The racial scanning, seemingly widespread at Gatwick, involved pulling out white passengers when officials wanted to question a black passenger.

One official told inspectors he and his colleagues ‘specifically detained a number of white passengers’ from one flight so they could ‘show that white people were also being questioned’.

He said that when they saw arrivals they ‘knew they had a problem’ because the person they wanted to intercept was the only black passenger on the flight.

The inspectors added: ‘The officer also reported that this practice ... is also used for Caribbean flights to reduce the potential for future race claims.’
Mr Vine said the approach was ‘not justifiable’ and that there was ‘no legal basis for detaining people for such purpose’.

At Heathrow Terminal 3, inspectors found two-thirds of passenger searches were ‘neither justified nor proportionate or in line with legislation and agency guidance’.

american martial arts expert banned from uk. see this and read the article. what idiots!

Earlier today I heard an interview on the radio with an American who is at this moment, being barred from entering the country. Really got the ole dander up.
He’s a martial arts guy who was invited to a convention or gathering of some kind. He teaches and lectures on that subject.  Whoa .... but he’s too ruff and violent for the Home Secretary and so he’s not allowed in.  What an insult considering the loons and the outright criminals that slip thru and then stay here on benefits.
But lets not talk about self defense in ways that aren’t couched in cotton fluff I guess. AND, one MP slag of the left had congratulated the Home Sec.

Here’s what the idiot said.

West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper, who had warned Home Secretary Theresa May about the visit, welcomed the move.

She said: ‘I’m grateful to the Home Secretary for taking the appropriate action and not allowing this man into our country.

‘He teaches extreme and violent self defence that is unwelcome here.

and there’s this little bit of total BS.

‘The decision to bar Mr Larkin from the UK demonstrates the value of constant alertness when it comes to border controls.

Oh yeah. They’re really alert okay. Read the papers. Yes, I know papers tend toward the sensationalist.  Does that make em any less true?

You really must see the article, I wish you all could have heard the interview where the left leaning idiot doing the interview kept bringing up the ‘V’ word and trying to interrupt Tim Larkin.
And don’t miss the comments that follow the article here. Most interesting.

the word for today is ………….

It’s almost as though they were reading bmews yesterday when I posted this.

Look at what the culture has now come to. What other words I wonder, will crop up in the future that “might” be offensive

Darn if another didn’t crop up today.  Crop? I get it, the pc crowd is planting this stuff and up it crops like weeds.  Nothing serious mind you but still.

Some of you had some great fun with blacklist yesterday.  This one may be harder. The word for today is.

OBESE

Yup. Totally unexpected.  I thought maybe the ‘F’ word, FAT might be on their list. Then that’d be Fatism I suppose. But no.
Today it’s the ‘O’ word.

Don’t say ‘obese’… you might upset fat people, councils have been warned

Instead, they are people who need to ‘achieve a healthier weight’

By SOPHIE BORLAND

The word ‘obese’ should not be used when encouraging the public to lose weight as it may be ‘derogatory’, councils have been told.

Instead, anyone who is dangerously overweight should merely be urged to try to ‘achieve a healthier weight’, according to guidelines drawn up by the health watchdog NICE.

The guidance tells officials to ‘ carefully consider the type of language’ they use when designing posters and leaflets.

Under a new Government strategy, councils – rather than NHS trusts – have been given the task of combating rising levels of obesity.

Ministers are giving town halls £ 5billion a year to tackle a range of public health issues, which also include binge-drinking, smoking and teenage pregnancies.

Council officials ‘should carefully consider the type of language and media to use to communicate about obesity’.

It says: ‘For example, it might be better to refer to a “healthier weight” rather than “obesity” – and to talk more generally about health and wellbeing or specific community issues.’

It added that certain language might be seen as ‘derogatory’.

Ironically, the advice is contained in a paper entitled

Obesity: Working With Local Communities.

when i first saw the hdline i thought it was a joke. silly me.

I happen to glance at a headline online yesterday, without paying a lot of attention to the story that followed. It was something that went by fast and I thought was the start of a joke I had no time for. Believe me folks, right now my hands are very full and so I imagine a few things will escape notice.
However, when the story appeared in the morning paper, I realized I wasn’t looking at a joke.  Unless it was a very bad one.
Look at what the culture has now come to. What other words I wonder, will crop up in the future that “might” be offensive to one or two idiots? By idiots of course I mean those of a politically correct nature, with no other life but that of those on whose behalf they are taking offense.
I’m not sure, but those of you like Christopher who are quite well read in sci-fi might know.  Was there ever anything in science fiction (1984 aside) that had as it’s focus or even as a side story, anything as insane with regard to how words are used. It’s been many years since I read ‘84 and do not recall if that story followed the course we are on today.
You may recall a year or so ago there was a verbal dust up over the use of the word black ball. Which faded as other more bizarre news overwrote that one.
So now here we are with the term blacklist.
Has anyone ever in the history of the entire world, ever actually been seriously or even mildly offended by that word? Liberals don’t count.

Police IT department bans word ‘blacklist’ in case it is deemed racist

Police IT staff have been banned from using the word ‘blacklist’ because it could be considered racist.

The Police Federation has condemned the move as a ‘waste of time’ and ‘an irrelevance’.
The term whitelist - a list of acceptable contacts - has also been banned.
Security services chief Brian Douglas wrote in an email: “Information Board are uncomfortable with the use of the term Whitelist (and I presume Blacklist).
“I am sure we can appreciate the sensitivity around the use of such terminology today so please ensure it is no longer used.”

A spokesman for Scotland Yard said that the change was not one of policy but simply a move to more ‘appropriate’ phrasing.

He said: “This is not a change in policy. It is a change in internal ICT terminology which reflects a more appropriate use of language in a professional, policing environment.”

John Tully, deptuty head of the Met Police Federation, said while racism was very much an issue - a number of allegations have recently been made against Met officers - the latest move was trivial.

He said: “In real terms it’s an irrelevance. We list things and we call these things by a particular name - does it matter if there’s a colour in that name?
“I really do think we have more important and pressing matters to concern oursleves about at the moment, such as the Tom Winsor report into police pay and conditions.

“I represent the rank and file in the Met who won’t be worried by the Met changing the name of a list.

“There are far more important issues at stake in the future of British policing than to waste time concerned with such trivial matters as this.
“I do need to temper that with the background that we are in where there are a number of serious allegations of racism going on.
“But if you look at the bigger picture it’s an irrelevance.”

source

Sure thing. And this move will alleviate the problem. Perhaps blacks who are arrested for criminal behavior won’t shout race when arrested.
On the other hand, hey. It might work.  Just like in the USA.
After the darkies burned down part of LA, every street and hwy in Calif. was named after whatsizname. There’s even a national holiday now where another day without mail and another day when banks close and oh yeah. There are even schools named in his honor. And it worked fine huh?
It calmed the savage beast and appealed to the liberal left and all the white idiots who really yearned to be one of the brothers.
And the likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and their minions have all gone away.
So maybe this police dept is on to something. Ya think?
Hey .... how about a national holiday (Brits don’t already have plenty) honoring say, Nelson Mandela?  And another one for Gandhi. And even a worthy muslim just to show how all inclusive this club can get.  Then there’d be so many national holidays honoring so many (minorities only need apply) that nobody would have to go out to work and all would go on the dole.  Except whitey.
Seems like a plan to me.

(probably headed that way anyway)

VERMIN AT LARGE, THE USUAL BURDEN

Sometimes I get to thinking, if those bastard slave traders never got into the business or at the least, never brought these vermin to our shores,
would Jazz have been discovered anyway?  If not, how much would our lives been diminished?  Hard to think of a world that would never have seen and heard Teddy Wilson or Lionel Hampton or King Oliver or Red Allen or Chick Webb and Ella and the list just goes on. Then there’s the Nicholas Bros. too.  I don’t hate those guys.  And they survived in a world that did not always treat them well. Or is it only their talent I admired and never saw past that?
No, there’s something rotten in today’s world that has made it easy for the scum in this article.  And there’s more of em then ever before.  They are the very direct result of the hand wringing lefty idea of equality, diversity and civil and human rights and to be critical of these monsters to the point of anger where you think the ‘N’ word, then you’re a bigot and a racist and a hateful person.

When I was growing up in Hartford, CT. we were aware of one part of town to avoid. Folks who lived there had a reputation for carrying not just knives but razors. Which at the time seemed to be their weapon of choice.  But overall, unless you were looking for trouble, we never saw the kind of violence seen today on both sides of the Atlantic.  Of course, our laws then imposed penalties which were seen eventually as unfair, discriminatory and racist.  Even when they weren’t.

You could not spit at a cop or call him a pig. Cos there was a penalty not worth the name call or the spit. There was no aclu or any other left wing commie rights group whose only purpose was not to get justice but to screw up what was working fairly well at the time.  Jewish kids had it drummed into their heads that what they did reflected on not just the family but the entire race. And that last was less forgivable after WW2 then the former. I believe black kids had the same thing preached to them.  Don’t give those haters out there an easy excuse to say things like, well what else can you expect from a kike or a nigger. Show em you’re better by deed.

Now that doesn’t mean we still didn’t do things that were wrong. Sure we did. We all did stupid things but overall, we knew the limits. Most of the time.
And one thing we knew for damn certain.  Crime doesn’t pay. We knew that mostly because we were told that every week on a program (radio) called The FBI, in Peace and War. And Gangbusters.  And we knew it was true cos lots of other programs said it as well and it was all reinforced by the family.
We had the idea embedded that there were penalties, often harsh ones.

Well, between that old world and the newer, more edgy and modern one we have today, some things were lost. Or else just stolen by the various rights groups.
There were always gangs, even worse then today if you read the book the movie was based on. Gangs of New York.  Ah but, when it came time to finally put an end to them, authorities weren’t squeamish and there were no civil rights attorneys there to make the very worst appear to be the better cause. And not always because they believe their own arguments but because it’s a game and winning the game counts for more then justice.
For example, there’s a lawyer here who is very successful and his nickname is Mr Loophole. Cause he somehow manages to always find one.

And speaking of verminous lower then pond scum life forms who should if there were any real justice, be taken out and disposed of, take a look at this one.
Or more accurately, at the group presented.  They don’t even manage to look human. This is diversity and multi culture and lets treat em like they’re only kids and after all really just one of us.  Uh huh. As it happens they aren’t any of those things and sadly there’s so many of this type, is it any wonder there are people who have been turned in their thinking and feel hate for the individual and mistrust of the group they belong to.

Lets see if any of you can find the “humanity” in any of these gremlins.  Btw ... see the female at the right in the photo below? Yeah her. She was seen kicking the victim in the head as he was on the ground. Caught on camera but denied it. I guess she figures they all look alike and so how’s anyone gonna know for sure it was her. Read the link below.

The Samurai Tube killers: Gang of teenagers who punched, kicked and stabbed boy of 15 to death in feud between schools are jailed

Promising footballer was stabbed nine times after pupils from two rival schools clashed at London’s Victoria station

By REBECCA CAMBER and REBECCA EVANS

A teenage gang who hacked a boy of 15 to death in front of horrified commuters received sentences totalling more than 100 years yesterday.

Sofyen Belamouadden was punched, kicked and stabbed in a murder planned on Facebook following a feud between his school and a sixth-form college.

A pack of up to 20 students aged between 15 and 18 went to Victoria underground station in London armed with a set of kitchen knives bought for £3.99 from Argos, a Samurai sword, flick knives, metal bars and extendable batons which were used to batter the GCSE pupil with ‘indescribable aggression’.

image

Samson Odegbune held the 12in sword above his head as he, Christopher Omoregie and Obi Nwokeh led the chase of the victim in the ticket hall during the early-evening rush hour.

Sofyen, a promising footballer, was stabbed nine times in the lungs and chest in a 12-second attack.

Judge Christopher Moss QC ordered the three to be detained at Her Majesty’s Pleasure – the juvenile equivalent of a life sentence owing to their ages at the time of the killing.

He added: ‘None of you has shown any kind of remorse. Nor do you in any way acknowledge responsibility for the killing.’ A further three teenagers, Adonis Akra, 18, Samuel Roberts, 19, and Femi Oderinwale, 18, were convicted of manslaughter and given 12 years detention each.It acted as the ‘direct catalyst’ for the pre-arranged meeting which led to Sofyen’s death.
image
Tyrone Richards, 17, and Enoch Amoah, 19, were found guilty of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm and were each sentenced to seven years in a young offenders institution.

Four youths were earlier sentenced to two years detention after admitting violent disorder. Victoria Osoteku, 19, the only girl in the gang, will be sentenced next week after being found guilty of manslaughter.

‘So brazen and confident were his killers, they openly carried the various weapons they used with them as they ran towards him and hunted him down.’

The catalyst for the attack was a fight over a girl a day earlier in the station, which left one youth with a bloody nose. That night the Ladbroke Grove pupils plotted their revenge on Facebook, with Oderinwale, then 16, acting as an ‘armourer’.

He asked online contacts for a ‘flick-up ting’ and told an older friend to ‘buy some nanks from Argos’, referring to a box of kitchen knives.

He told his friends there was a ‘beef’ with other youths in west London and someone could get ‘slumped’ (stabbed).

Odegbune, then 16, led the running charge with the Samurai sword, shouting: ‘I’m going to **** you up’ as he ran into the station.

Roberts, 17, booted the victim’s head three times as if he ‘were kicking a rugby football’.

Following the attack, 12 of the 20 youths boarded a bus and one was overheard saying: ‘Didn’t you see me run in to the station and shank him?’ Police officers stopped the bus and found a selection of knives as well as blade-sharpening steels which were covered in the victim’s blood.

FULL AND COMPLETE STORY

I’ve been thinking while reviewing this and seeing the photos here and the one in my last post.
Yeah, I guess I wouldn’t miss what I never knew and so have come to the conclusion that yes. Much as I love Jazz (early), I’d have gotten along just fine were it never invented.

VERMIN AT LARGE IN THE UK, PART ONE

Didn’t think I would be on line today but booted to check things.

I wasn’t going to post the story or pix thinking you folks could see the same thing in any country you’re from while visiting us at bmews.
I haven’t a clue about the laws or systems of justice in other countries.  But justice seems to be sorely lacking in some western countries and especially here in the UK and perhaps the USA as well.

I’ve been here a number of years which doesn’t qualify me as expert in any way. But heck, I read the papers and listen to the radio, and have no TV by choice.
And what I see and hear makes me despair.
How is it that growing up in a very innocent age, by comparison to today, I still managed to work out right from wrong?  I didn’t need anyone to tell me. I knew. We all did.  Which ain’t sayin’ we always did right when sometimes wrong was fun or just something we knew we could get away with.
But I promise you we never even thought of doing the things I read about today.  Rape? Stabbing ppl?  Sure, it happened even then. But never on this scale.
And of course in those days there was the death penalty.  Emphasis on that last word.  Doesn’t seem to be much of that anymore.

A few weeks ago I saw two stories crime related, never posted cos it was the same old same old. But what did stand out was that in two separate cases the accused when being sent off to prison, shouted out in court, haha. Easy. I can do that.
Another said, “I can do that standing on my head.” Or words similar.  They just don’t care and they know they’ll get out sooner rather then later.

One prisoner with a violent background even took the prison to court AND WON the right to be called Mister by the prison guards.

And here’s this group of sub human life forms who if you read it all will discover that for them, they were merely doin’ what comes naturally.

And speaking of what comes naturally, take a good look at this animal.
He looks like he grunts, ape like, instead of speaking as humans do. And he’s only one of that group.
Sickening.

Six months for boy who raped girl of 11 sparks outrage over 16-year-old thug’s soft sentence for attack in McDonald’s toilet

* Series of attacks took place on three separate dates
* Involved up to eight members of the same street gang
* Only two were convicted, but investigations continue
* Ringleader, then aged 13, was jailed for five years
* Judge said attack had ‘far reaching effects’ on victim
* Thugs beat her up to make sure she kept quiet

By KATHERINE FAULKNER

A teenage gang member who raped a girl of 11 in a McDonald’s toilet will serve only six months behind bars after an astonishing ruling by a judge yesterday.
image

The 16-year-old was one of several thugs who preyed on the ‘vulnerable and lonely’ victim over a number of months.

They subjected the girl to a series of horrific rapes before trying to intimidate her into staying silent.

But incredibly, he was locked up for just one year yesterday after the judge said the victim’s unwillingness to have sex ‘may not have been obvious’ to him and he deserved ‘very great credit’ for pleading guilty.

The teenager – who cannot be named – is likely to serve only six months in a young offenders’ institution.

Last night the sentence was condemned by victims’ groups, who said it trivialised the rape of a child. In law, a girl of 11 is deemed incapable of consenting to sex in any circumstances.

Jo Wood, a spokesman for Rape Crisis, said: ‘Victims will be appalled by this kind of sentence. That victim will undoubtedly serve a life sentence after what has happened to her.

‘It will have taken considerable courage for her to come forward. I am very concerned that this sentence does not reflect the seriousness of the crime at all.

‘Courts will need to seriously consider the message that sentences such as these send out.’

Stephen Timms, the Labour MP for East Ham, said: ‘These attacks were horrendous, repeated and committed by young men who seemed to have little remorse for the trauma they have inflicted on this girl. I am shocked, especially given the gang dimension to this case, that their sentences are so short.’

Conservative MP Philip Davies said: ‘For a court to hand down such a derisory sentence for one of the most serious crimes seems to me to be totally unacceptable.’

Mr Davies said such sentences had ‘left the public with no confidence in the criminal justice system’. He added: ‘It certainly won’t act as a deterrent, or encourage victims of rape to come forward.

‘Given how serious the problems with gang culture are in this country, I think it is very weak indeed.’

The victim, who is now 13, stared at the floor in court yesterday as Ibraheem Giwa, 15, and his 16-year-old co-defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were sentenced to five years and one year respectively.

Both had been members of the Say No More gang from the Custom House area of Newham, East London – an area blighted by violent turf wars.

Ibraheem ‘Ibby’ Giwa – described as the ringleader – was just 13 when he carried out the first attack on the girl in September 2009, Inner London Crown Court heard.

He dragged the girl, who had just started secondary school, into the bushes at a park, and raped her while another boy watched. He then invited her to his house, where she asked him: ‘If I do it, are you going to leave me alone?’

Giwa then raped her again, before inviting a queue of up to eight other gang members to do the same.

The victim wept throughout the attacks and asked the boys to ‘stop it’, but they simply told her to stop crying because it ‘made it look like they’d done something’ to her.

She later told police: ‘They didn’t ask me if I wanted it or not.’

Six months later, in March 2010, she was attacked in the toilet of a McDonald’s restaurant in East Ham, East London, by the gang member, then 14, who had heard about the previous rapes.

He followed her into the toilet and raped her while his friends waited outside the door. After the attacks, members of the gang bombarded the victim with texts and phone calls warning her not to tell anyone about what had happened.

On two occasions, she was beaten up as a warning not to report the crimes. When she finally did go to the police, officers seized the defendants’ computers and found that Giwa had discussed the rape with others on Facebook.

In one conversation, Giwa had written: ‘I think the girl we rapped (sic) went to police.’

A 15-year-old, who cannot been named and who was later cleared, wrote: ‘What girl?’ Giwa replied: ‘The girl we bang at my house.’

Passing sentence, Judge Patricia Lees said the rapes had been ‘selfish and debased’ attacks on a vulnerable and lonely child who had been left genuinely frightened of gang reprisals.

we always attack the americans

Red Ken Livingstone is trying to get his old job as London’s mayor back.

The red reference is not the color of his hair. For those surfing by and reading and who don’t know, he is very left and very cozy with the muzzies cos he wants their votes in tomorrow’s election. I won’t go into a song and dance about him here, this is just a bit of background so you’ll know his agenda and where he is politically.  Which brings me to this column written by a former crony of his.

It’s late, I’ve been busy and never got to the second of our two papers today. Which is why I have to H/T my own wife who did read the Telegraph cover to cover and had me stop what I was doing while she read a section of the column to me.  This may read funny to some and I suppose it is in its own way.
As Americans we’re pretty well used to this stuff. But this really does take a prize of some kind when it’s made so out in the open by a fellow who was there.

Take a look.

WE ALWAYS ATTACK THE AMERICANS.

Why this former crony can’t vote for Ken Livingstone

Working as part of Ken Livingstone’s mayoral machine taught me that he’s unfit to rule.

By Dan Hodges

The Labour Party has indulged Ken Livingstone for too long. Think of the tax hypocrisy, and the crocodile tears over his election video. Or his deeply unpleasant comments about the Jewish community, which would – had they been made by any other party member, or against any other minority – have resulted in immediate suspension and expulsion.
“Oh, it’s just Ken being Ken,” plead his acolytes. Well, I know exactly what Ken’s like when he’s “being Ken”, because I used to work for him. Technically, it was for Transport for London, as its director of communications. And the term “worked” is also a bit misleading, conjuring images of a fruitful and extended period of employment. I actually lasted eight months, before departing in somewhat unfortunate circumstances. But this is what I learnt, in the meantime, about how Ken Livingstone and his people operate.

One of the charges levelled at his administration was cronyism. This was spot on: I was one of the cronies. I knew his staff after working for Labour, and received a call asking if I’d consider taking the TFL job.

As someone with virtually no experience of managing staff, handling major budgets or working in a high-profile, customer-facing public sector environment, I viewed myself as ideal for this kind of role. The same can’t be said for the bemused recruitment consultant who phoned me.

“I’ve been told by the mayor’s office to call you.” “Hello.” “You know the deadline’s closed?” “Yes.” “Have you actually applied?” “No.” “And you think you’ll get an interview?”
Just before being appointed, I was taken to see Ken. I was ushered into his mayoral office, with its wonderful view of Tower Bridge, where he told me a bizarre story about the Congolese independence ceremony, in which a member of the Belgian king’s staff had slapped one of the dignitaries. “In the Met, the senior officers get on well with me, but lower down they hate me,” he added. “It’s a bit like that in TFL.” And that was that. I had the job.

A couple of weeks later, I was wondering why. We’d received yet another call about a foreign embassy not paying its parking fines. This time it was Russia. We were working up our usual nonsense about what a disgrace it was when a senior Ken aide rang to ask:

“What are you saying about the Russians?” I duly explained. “No. Attack the Americans.” “What?” “Attack the Americans.” “But we’re not being asked about the Americans.” “I don’t care. We always attack the Americans. They owe loads as well. Attack them. Nothing about the Russians.”

I used to live in England and now I live in the United Nations

A couple of months ago I posted a YT video of a woman losing her cool thru drink, and going on a racist rant on the tube. That’s Britspeak for subway.

So then here’s an update which is interesting and just shows how right, maybe I should use the word correct instead, people accused of the big ‘R’ actually are.
There are valid reasons for their many seasons of discontent.  Mostly the feeling that they are losing their country. Their culture is being buried and they don’t understand how it’s been allowed.  The huge and people I do mean the very huge influx of uncontrolled immigration to this ISLAND.
I just need to emphasize that in case anyone forgot.

About a week ago an MP complained loudly after getting a less then quality sandwich and apparently not what he ordered, because the person who waited on him didn’t have much of an understanding of English. And so he asked why the fast food place couldn’t hire English ppl or at lease ppl who had a grasp of the language, instead of so darn many eastern Europeans.  Naturally the bed wet crowd called for his head accusing him of ... wanna say the word?

If every single person who felt the same way this woman did and spoke out the same way, drunk or sober, they would number in the millions and there would not be enough room in the jails to house them all.

Now then, what has me seeing red this chilly grey morning, is that the lady in question here could face jail because of her drunken rant on that subway.

Seems to me I recall a gang of four black muslim slags who beat the hell out of a white girl but were let off cos .... they weren’t used to being drunk.
I wonder if this woman can use the same defense. Course not. She be the wrong color and religion and race.

Happy New Year 1984.

Secretary, 42, told she faces jail after admitting champagne-fuelled racist rant on train that was posted on YouTube

Jacqueline Woodhouse, 42, abused passengers on the Central Line train
Film uploaded to YouTube has been watched 200,000 times
Sikh man on his way back from funeral who filmed it, said he put it on YouTube to ensure speedy justice

By EMMA REYNOLDS

A drunken secretary has admitted hurling racist abuse at fellow passengers on the London Underground after a video of her appeared on the internet.

Jacqueline Woodhouse, 42, directed a drunken, expletive-ridden rant at passengers on the Central Line between St Paul’s and Mile End stations on January 23.

The court was told that Woodhouse had drunk an ‘unknown’ quantity of champagne at a retirement party before getting on the Tube at 11pm.

She now faces jail, after police launched an investigation into a seven-minute long video of the verbal assault that was uploaded to YouTube.

Today at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, Woodhouse, of Romford in Essex, admitted causing harassment alarm and distress to the Sikh man who filmed her - Galbant Singh Juttla.

The video clip begins with Woodhouse shouting in a thick Essex accent about ‘foreign s*** heads’.

She turns to her passengers and asks: ‘Where do you come from? Where do you come from? Where do you come from?

‘I would like to know if any of you are illegal? I am sure like 30 per cent of you are.’

She then turns on the Pakistani man sitting next to her, who is singing his national anthem, and threatens to ‘punch him in the face.’

‘I wouldn’t mind if you loved our country,’ she adds.

She then turns to Mr Juttla’s camera, as he assures her he would rather be listening to his music than to her.

She goes on: ‘Why don’t you tell me where you’re from?’

He replies: ‘I am British.’

She gets her phone out of her black handbag and looks as if she is filming him too.

Mr Juttla warns her: ‘Watch what you are saying.’

She replies: ‘I used to live in England and now I live in the United Nations.’

As he tells her to keep her mouth shut, informing her that she has had too much to drink, she becomes extremely agitated and starts screaming.

‘It’s not your country anyway so what’s your problem?’ she yells. ‘It’s been overtaken by people like you.’

The court heard that Mr Juttla decided to film Woodhouse after she started berating an unidentified black female. She then sat down between two men and began another barrage of abuse.

Woodhouse told police she could not remember the rant but recognised it was her in the video.

She attended court today wearing a black suit and white shirt. She sat in the court with her brow furrowed and her head bowed as the magistrate was shown the video clip.

Ms Campbell said Woodhouse verbally abused a male passenger while on a train to Stratford. She asked whether he had paid taxes, adding: ‘I have had enough of it, why don’t they go back to where they come from?’

Outside court Mr Juttla, who runs a print company, said: ‘I found it very distressing.

‘I uploaded it to YouTube because I thought that was the fast-track process to catching this person.

‘I also needed to show the public that kind of person is out there and not to put up with this kind of behaviour.

‘My kids have seen the video and they are disgusted by it. They don’t expect for someone to shout abuse at their dad.’

Adjourning sentence, District Judge Elizabeth Roscoe said: ‘Bearing in mind the level of abuse, the persistence of the abuse, the number of people on the train unable to leave without aborting their journey, and the children present, means that I think the court has to have a pre-sentence report.

‘I make it clear that all options are open to the sentencing court, including committal or immediate custody.’

The judge imposed stringent conditions banning her from the Tube network (for two years it’s reported elsewhere) and she was ordered to keep to a daily curfew between 10pm and 6am, which will be monitored by electronic tag.

She will be sentenced at the same court on May 29.
