What’s Black and White and Red All Over?

A newspaper? How dull.

A penguin in the blender? Much better, but a bit twisted.

A stunning redhead just barely wearing a zebra striped lacy little bit of something? Now you’re talking. Clicky piccy for all natural enlargement.

Red velvet bûche de Noël with boozy cranberries recipe

image

· Ingredients
· 200g (7oz) caster sugar, plus extra for dusting
· 100g (3 1/2oz) cranberries
· 150ml (5fl oz) orange or whisky liqueur
· 125g (4oz) unsalted butter, softened
· 2 large eggs, separated
· 140g (5oz) plain flour
· 2 tbsp cocoa powder
· 2 tsps baking powder
· 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
· 120ml (3 3/4fl oz) buttermilk
· 1 tsp vanilla extract
· 1 tsp white wine vinegar
· 1/2 x 60ml tube red food colouring
· For the filling
· 200g (7oz) cream cheese
· 150g (5oz) mascarpone

(Mascarpone is an Italian cheese made from a triple-creme cheese made from fresh cream,, coagulated by the addition of citric acid or acetic acid. After denaturation, the whey is removed without pressing or aging.)

· 75g (3oz) butter
· 175g (6oz) icing sugar
· 175g (6oz) white chocolate, melted
· sugar snowflakes (optional)

Celebrate the festive period in style with this luxurious show-stopping Christmas red velvet buche de noël. This Yule log is a great alternative to a Christmas cake, with a rich and indulgent taste and packed with boozy cranberries for an extra special treat.

Heat 100g (3 1/2oz) sugar and 300ml (1/2pt) water in a pan over a low heat, until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat, add the cranberries and leave to stand for 15 minutes. Drain and then transfer to a bowl. Cover with the liqueur. Chill until needed.

Preheat the oven to gas 4, 180°C, fan 160°C. Grease and line a 23 x 33cm (9 x 13in) Swiss roll tin. In a bowl, beat the butter and remaining 100g (3 1/2oz) sugar with an electic whisk, until fluffy, then gradually beat in the egg yolks.

Sift the flour, cocoa, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and a pinch of salt into a separate bowl. In a jug, combine the buttermilk, vanilla extract, vinegar and food colouring.

Fold in a third of the flour mixture to the butter mixture, followed by a third of the buttermilk mixture. Repeat until you have used up all the ingredients.

In a clean bowl, whisk the egg whites to soft peaks. Gently fold them into the cake mixture.

Spoon the cake mixture into the prepared tin and level the surface. Bake for 12-15 minutes.

Dust a large sheet of baking paper with caster sugar. Turn out the bûche onto the sugar and peel off the lining paper. Lightly score a line about 1cm (1/2in) from one of the shorter ends, being careful not to cut through the sponge, then roll it up. Leave to cool.

Meanwhile, make the filling. In a bowl, whisk the cream cheese, mascarpone, butter and icing sugar. Whisk in the melted chocolate and 2 tbsp of the cranberry soaking liquid, until smooth.

Unroll the sponge and spread with a third of the icing, then roll it back up and put on a serving plate. Using a palette knife, spread the top and sides of the bûche with the remaining icing.

Drain the cranberries and arrange over the bûche. Decorate with sugar snowflakes (if using) and an extra dusting of caster sugar. Serve.
Get ahead: Fill the sponge up to 4 hours before serving, leave at room temperature, but somewhere cool.

A Two For One Deal

image

A small suspension bridge somewhere. Interesting use of a 3rd cable set to stabilize the hand rails, which are actually mounted pony-style to the cross beams under the decking.

And Ariel seems to be pretty well suspended too. Looking good, as always.

I’m Bailing, RedHead Four Play

Seriously, I am bailing. Bailing out the kitchen sink. Got some kind of clog in the drain. Thought at first it was the garbage grinder, but the blockage is further down. Took apart the P-trap, got out a coat hanger, went at it. Dug it in all the way, about 2 feet. Went in several times too. Nothing. Put it all back together ... still clogged. Tried the old boiling water thing. Pot of water so big I could have done pasta for 8. Nope. Still clogged. Ran the dishwasher, in hopes that the hot water under pump pressure would blow it out. Nope. Just gave me a sink full of hot dirty water.

Umpteen trips back and forth with a plastic bucket, and I sort of have things figured out. The tub upstairs drains. The toilet upstairs flushes. The sink upstairs drains. The washing machine downstairs, on the other side of the kitchen, drains. The kitchen sink doesn’t drain. Which implies that the clog is under the kitchen floor, before it hits the main house drain under the hallway. So the clog is between 2 and 12 feet away from the P-trap.

So now what? Take a ride to Home Depot tomorrow morning, get one of those 25 foot auger snakes for $25. Fart around with that for a bit, hope it works. I really don’t want to have to shell out the cash for Roto-Guy to make a house call.

So, distracted by all this fun, which also kept me from even cooking dinner until almost 9, I made a terrible mistake. Carrying a bucket of dirty water up to the toilet, I glanced in at the TV. “Hey, it’s that big Red from that Dome show!”. Wrongo. “No” she says, “it’s that big Red from that funny gay show.” And it was! Maybe I should turn in my spotter’s card. And just bail.

So I dumped the bucket (didn’t kick it) and took a break and watched the new Adventures of Laura for a few minutes. It’s Ok. I give it more chance that that new The Librarians thing we tried to watch last night, which has the Double Death Whammy working against it - it starts Rebecca Romjin, who is so so beautiful but a total show killer. Time after time. And it’s a remake of that goofy shit Warehouse 13 only with better looking people. Oh come on. The premier episode featured the Artifact - called that by name no less - of King Arthur’s crown. And Excalibur was the Librarian’s sort-of magical dog-object-buddy. Until it stabbed him. A little. Gak. Loser. 7 episodes and then it’s into the toilet. The unclogged toilet. But at least I only confused the redhead (Lindy Booth) on that show with Fred for a second. Amy Acker lives on Person of Interest these days, but she’ll always be Fred from Angel to me. Even with a red rinse.

BILLED AS THE WORLD’S MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL. AT 9.

Well, this outta get tongues wagging. Not sure what I think.

The make up ppl say she isn’t even wearing actual lipstick.  Read the article for info on that.

There is no question in my mind that although she is already becoming a successful pre teen model, this is one very beautiful young girl.
Now come the serious question.

Can her look be seen as a sexy one?

Her mother says no and that anybody who sees her daughter as “sexy” is a pedophile.

Not so sure I agree.  I think a pedophile prefers children to begin with. Least that’s what I have read.  They target children almost exclusively.

However, I think there’s a huge difference between criminal behavior or leanings to that, and seeing the image here as quite a sexual appearance for a 9 year old.

See the link and take a good look at all the photos.

One thing is certain tho.  She doesn’t get these looks from mummy.  There’s a goddess at work here somewhere.

EXCLUSIVE - ‘You must think like a paedophile to see sex in these pictures… go see a doctor’:  Mother of world’s most beautiful girl defends ‘provocative’ images that show her nine-year-old daughter in hotpants

Kristina, aged nine, is ‘world’s most beautiful girl’ with supermodel career
Mother posts images to millions of followers oan Facebook and Instagram
But critics say the pictures of nine-year-old in shorts are too provocative
Men have posted comments such as ‘sexy legs’ and mum was attacked
Today Glikeriya hits back at ‘paedophile critics’ with sick imaginations

By Will Stewart In Moscow for MailOnline

image

The mother of a child supermodel dubbed ‘the most beautiful girl in the world’ has attacked ‘paedophiles’ who say she is sexualising her daughter by posting provocative pictures of her.

Kristina Pimenova is just nine years old but has become a worldwide sensation after pictures of her triggered a storm of criticism on Facebook and Instagram.

Today her mother Glikeriya Pimenova, who runs the social media accounts and posted the pictures, hit back in an exclusive interview with MailOnline, saying: ‘I do not accept those accusations about sexualisation of my child.

‘I am certain in my mind all her photographs are absolutely innocent. I have never asked her to take this or that pose, and in fact I must say she does not especially like it when I am photographing her, so I do it quickly and when she doesn’t notice.’

Innocent pictures of Kristina, whose impressive achievements have already seen her starring in adverts for Armani, Roberto Cavalli and Benetton, became the subject of disturbing comments online.

But Glikeriya, 39, told MailOnline: ‘You must think like a paedophile in order to see something sexual in these pictures, so it is time for you to see a doctor.

‘Some years ago I posted a picture of little Kristina on the beach in the Maldives hugging her three soft toys and laughing.

‘She was holding all her toys in front of her chest and hugging them, and you know what comments I got to this picture?

image

‘’Oh, she is covering her breasts because she thinks she has something to hide!’ Can you believe it? I think people who post something like this have serious psychological problems.’

Sipping fruit tea and clearly stung by the accusations, Glikeriya insists ‘All her ‘poses’ are natural. She is just a little girl who is attracting a lot of attention and unfortunately some of this attention is coming from strange people with huge personal problems, keen to throw dirt at anyone.’

Glikeriya insists the problem is a minority who visit their own prejudices onto entirely innocent and beautiful pictures.

Her portfolio from a remarkable six year ‘career’ is simply astonishing, including Vogue and Armani, yet critics see a dark side with one commentator branding a photo of her in shorts as ‘creepy’ while a male user wrote worryingly: ‘I like it’.

Sitting in a fashionable Uzbek restaurant in the elite Krylatskoe district of Moscow, Glikeriya calmly sought to correct what she sees as the misplaced criticisms of her own motives, and her daughter’s poses.

‘We lived in France when I was expecting Kristina,’ explained Glikeriya, dressed simply in jeans, a pink jumper and Loius Vitton scarf. At the time, her husband played for FC Metz.

‘I went to Moscow to give birth and soon afterwards returned to France, so Kristina was born in Russia,’ she said.

‘Until the age of three we lived in France and I was astonished to see the amount of attention she attracted from people who saw her.

‘In any public place we visited, people just surrounded her and keep repeating ‘Oh, such a sweet child’, ‘look at her’, and similar comments.

‘Kristina really enjoyed such attention but it was only abroad, I am afraid. When we came back to Russia it was a shock for my child.

‘I remember she was sitting in her pram as I pushed her, and she kept smiling to everybody who passed by, but nobody cared. She turned to me with pure shock on her face - what’s wrong?

‘But I knew she was cute and decided to give it a try. I browsed the internet and found the model agency for children with the most attractive and easy to understand website, and sent them Kristina’s photographs.

‘We were invited for a chat and she was added to their database. Her first photo session took place a little before her fourth birthday. When she turned four, we had our first portfolio done.’

Her ‘career’ exploded as Kristina’s image was demanded both in Russia and worldwide. Her daughter’s Facebook has more than 2.1 million likes, and she has 315,000 followers on Instagram.

is it ever too early for eye candy?

When one does things in the dead of night cos one has insomnia .... sometime we forget the names and simply call em screen shots.

Not to worry. Drew will know.

[ Drew IDs the model as Ginger from Met-Art, and adds that she looks pretty good with straight hair too. Pretty good work {pats self on back, pat pat pat} considering Peiper’s post isn’t even up yet!! ]
