a designers masked ball and ur invited. ya’ll come ya hear?

Got up thinking it was Sunday ....
Here’s something I couldn’t resist because of the silliness. I’m sure those involved took it more seriously but look. Most of these folks are supposed to be the
hoi polloi of the fashion world.  I know it’s a masked ball of some kind. But what fashion is on exhibit here. It really seems like most fashion has gone as far as it can. How many different ways can you design a shoe or a dress that women (or men?) can actually wear?  So they got rather bizarre which is also rather funny.
And we all enjoy the laugh.  But some of these ppl take themselves very seriously.  See the link.

OK I confess. I LOVE Kate Moss but you have to understand.  Before I knew she was known as Cocaine Kate and was the girl friend of a permanently stoned rocker named Pete, I’d see her photo everywhere.  When you walk down our high street (main street, laid out by the Romans btw) which is somewhat narrow and there are all these shop windows, and everywhere you go you see this model in different attire and often nighties or underwear, WELL!  And that extraordinary face.  WELL! Once again.  Hard not to fall in love with the image. And when she’s in a bikini ....  It was later that I started seeing other less flattering photos of her and really felt sorry for her.  All that beauty will evaporate not so much with age but abuse.  But heck.  I still love her. 
I cut her husband out of the photos cos he isn’t as pretty as she is. 

So now .... here are a couple of I don’t know whats.  Lets see. Cloths designers, a masked ball, and this is what these folks come up with.
I don’t get it but that doesn’t make it wrong or even bad.  Just me. You will see it differently perhaps.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:

1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
