Sir Isaac Newton’s handwritten notes about momentous discovery.

Look at this. Wow!  All those numbers. No computer. Not even a typewriter. Candles for light if he wanted to continue after dark.
And he also ran the royal mint and ran down a major counterfitting ring. More then one actually. He set the mint to rights.  A man of genius and many talents.
See the link below.  I just couldn’t post it all here.

Sir Isaac Newton’s handwritten notes about momentous discovery of laws of motion and gravity now available online

More than 4,000 pages of scientist’s works uploaded
Includes seminal Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

An original manuscript containing Sir Isaac Newton’s laws of motion is being made publicly available online, along with other historic works by the great scientist.

Cambridge University today published more than 4,000 pages of Newton’s most important works on a new digital library website.

They include the scientist’s own annotated copy of Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica - and handwritten notes where some of his most famous theories first came to life.

First published in July 1687, ‘Principia’ not only contains the laws of motion, but also Newton’s law of universal gravitation. It is widely regarded as one of the most significant works in the history of science.

Over the next few months the university library will upload thousands more pages, making almost the whole of its Newton collection available for anyone to view and download.

Work on the Cambridge Digital Library (http://cudl.lib.cam.ac.uk) began in 2010 with the Newton collection being photographed during last summer.

Up to 200 pages were captured each day, although major conservation work had to be carried out on several manuscripts and notebooks before they could be digitised.

The programme also aims to upload works by other famous scientists from Darwin to Ernest Rutherford.

A LOT MORE TO SEE HERE. DON’T MISS IT.

And it’s over, over there

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama heralded the end of the divisive Iraq war Monday, and warned Iraq’s neighbors that the United States would remain a major player in the region even as it brings its troops home.

“Our strong presence in the Middle East endures,” Obama said. “And the United States will never waiver in the defense of our allies, our partners and our interests.”

...

Speaking after a morning of meetings with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, Obama said other nations must not interfere with Iraq’s sovereignty. While he stopped short of mentioning any countries by name, U.S. officials are closely watching how neighboring Iran may seek to influence Baghdad after U.S. troops withdraw.

...

Al-Maliki’s trip to Washington came as the last American troops were preparing to leave Iraq ahead of a Dec. 31 deadline. Just 6,000 U.S. forces remain, down from a high of 170,000 at the war’s peak in 2007.

So prepare, say a pray’r,
Send the word, send the word to beware.
We’ll be over, we’re coming over,
And we won’t come back till it’s over
Over there.

Hey, did you hear that yet another 10 or so AQ guys escaped from prison in Yemen? It’s good to know the whole region has quieted down and is happily at peace. Mission Accomplished, right?

In the Navy

Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus: another far left Obama shill.

He’s off the deep end of the dry dock with his ideas for naming ships. Bad enough that we got the John P. Murtha; now we’ve got the Cesar Chavez too.  What’s next,

The USS Karl Marx

The responsibility for naming U.S. warships has traditionally been left to the secretary of the Navy. That needs to change. President Obama’s Navy secretary, Ray Mabus, has politicized the christening process to the point where some form of oversight is needed.
...
announcement last spring that the newest supply ship in the Navy’s inventory would be named after labor leader Cesar Chavez.
...
On Mr. Mabus‘ watch, the namings have taken a decidedly political turn. In 2009, the Navy announced the naming of the USNS Medgar Evars after the civil-rights leader. Sen. Barbara Boxer, California Democrat, defended the practice as part of the Navy’s “rich tradition,” but naming ships after political activists began with the Obama administration.

Mr. Mabus was also wrong to name the amphibious ship LPD-26 after the late Rep. John P. Murtha, breaking with the tradition of naming San Antonio class ships after U.S. cities.
...
America and our sea services deserve better.

You’re barking up the wrong tree there Admiral. Labor leaders, turncoat soldiers, pinkos, and revolutionaries ARE the heroes that the left looks up to. They will not see your complaint as any sort of problem at all.  I’m expecting a USS Senator Kerry and a USS Occupy Wall Street to soon come down the ways myself.

Saudis Execute Witch

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) — Saudi authorities have executed a woman convicted of practicing magic and sorcery.

The Saudi Interior Ministry says in a statement the execution took place Monday, but gave no details on the woman’s crime.

The London-based al-Hayat daily, however, quoted Abdullah al-Mohsen, chief of the religious police who arrested the woman, as saying she had tricked people into thinking she could treat illnesses, charging them $800 per session.

The paper said a female investigator followed up, and the woman was arrested in April, 2009, and later convicted in a Saudi court.

It did not give the woman’s name, but said she was in her 60s.

The execution brings the total to 76 this year in Saudi Arabia, according to an Associated Press count. At least three have been women.

For all you America haters out there, especially you euro-peons always going on about our guns and our death penalty, Saudi Arabia has executed more than double the number of criminals this year than we have. Actually, it’s closer to 2.5 times as many ... and the USA has more than 11 times the population. Stick that in your hookah and smoke it.

Also, I’m pretty sure we haven’t executed a woman for witchcraft in more than 370 years. So there.

Israel. Military spokesman accused of mocking dead Palestinian. The left is outraged. Yawn.

I have to say I just love this Israeli response to criticism.

image

Conceding that non-violent protests presented a particular challenge to Israeli control of the West Bank, the cable quoted Gen Amos Gilad, a senior defence ministry official, as saying: “We don’t do Gandhi very well.”

OK so, the usual anti-Israeli dead heads have their knickers in a terrible twist, and all because a military spokesman implied that a rock throwing idiot was, a loser and stupid.  Not in those exact words but the rock throwing hero got hit in the head by a tear gas canister, and croaked. Yeah so?

Funny how we never seem to hear from the bed wetters and bleeding hearts when the other side lobs missiles or launches suicide attacks. Of course not. Those are all justified in the name freedom.  Not to say many of us don’t have questions about policy and the religious muddle among Jews themselves in a Jewish state.
Which is really none of my business anyway. After all, I don’t vote in their elections or pay taxes there either.  Well , not directly.
Anyway ... here’s the story.  You may have already seen it.

And please note, just like the USA and the UK, Israel too has their 5th column and peace in our time dupes.

Israeli military spokesman accused of mocking dead Palestinian protester

The Israeli army was at the centre of controversy on Sunday after a senior military spokesman was accused of mocking a dead Palestinian protester on the social networking website Twitter.

By Adrian Blomfield, Jerusalem
image

Mustafa Tamimi died on Saturday, a day after he was struck in the face by a tear-gas canister fired at close range from an armoured military jeep in Nabi Saleh, a village in the West Bank that has seen weekly protests against the Israeli occupation.
Israeli military officials have been largely unapologetic for the death, releasing pictures of a sling they said was found on Mr Tamimi’s body as evidence that the dead man had thrown stones.

A number of military officials took to Twitter to defend the army and attack Mr Tamimi, but none caused as much outrage as a post by Maj Peter Lerner, spokesman for the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) Central Command, who appeared to suggest that the Palestinian deserved his fate.

“What was Mustafa thinking running after a moving jeep while throwing stones #fail,” he wrote as the Palestinian fought for his life in hospital.
“Fail”, and its stronger variant “epic fail”, are American slang terms, popular on the internet, used in a derogatory fashion to denote extreme stupidity.

Activists said that Maj. Lerner’s choice of language was symptomatic of a culture of indifference to Palestinian rights within the Israeli army.
“I think it is important to remember that this is the official spokesman of the IDF Central Command and it shows what the army thinks of a Palestinian life,” said Jonathan Pollack, an Israeli pro-Palestinian activist.
“Mustafa was killed in cold blood, shot from inside an army vehicle at close range.”

Pictures of Mr Tamimi lying in a pool of blood, his face badly mangled, have raised tensions in the West Bank. Clashes erupted at his funeral yesterday as Israeli soldiers fired tear gas at mourners attempting to march on a spring near Nabi Saleh which has been taken over by Jewish settlers.

At least five people were injured, including Mr Pollack who was admitted to hospital after he was held in a chokehold by Israeli soldiers, causing him to lose consciousness.

Maj Lerner denied mocking Mr Tamimi, saying his use of the word “fail” was directed at activists who, he said, had given a one-sided version of the incident.
“I did not mean to hurt anyone’s feelings by writing ‘fail’,” he said. “I felt the need to point out that none of the pictures of Tamimi prior to the incident were published despite the fact that he was throwing stones.”

The IDF has launched an investigation into the incident. Under army rules, soldiers are forbidden from firing tear gas canisters directly at protesters. A spokesman insisted that the army normally responded to demonstrations with “extreme restraint”.

The eruption of weekly protests in the West Bank over the past two years has unnerved the Israeli military establishment.
A leaked US diplomatic cable, written last year, quoted a senior Israeli officer as saying that “even demonstrations that appear peaceful” would not be tolerated and would be broken up.

Conceding that non-violent protests presented a particular challenge to Israeli control of the West Bank, the cable quoted Gen Amos Gilad, a senior defence ministry official, as saying: “We don’t do Gandhi very well.”

SOURCE FOR ONE LESS PAL

Mr Pollack who was admitted to hospital after he was held in a chokehold by Israeli soldiers, causing him to lose consciousness.

(A bit of bad luck the traitorous bastard woke up. Better luck next time IDF)

AMERICA - CHINA - INDIA WILL BE FORCED BY NEW AGREEMENT ON CLIMATE CONTROL

I am so tired of this subject but.
Now it’s closer to home (USA) because apparently America is on the Euro-weenie climate bandwagon.  OK I know we always have been. But I just didn’t expect this, this soon.  Not very observant of me perhaps. But considering who is in the White House, and the nest of vipers on the left, I should have expected it even sooner.

God, how I hate the idea of us co-operating with those zealots. And I think you all must know it’s going to cost us all a lot more as well.
But be careful. You know what happened to people in the past who didn’t follow the prescribed religious line.  And this is definitely the new religion.
Watch out for Torquemada. He wears a suit and tie these days.  His many adherents can be found wearing scruffy jeans and scraggly beards and some wear commie glasses and caps and with their unwashed female friends, can usually be found either occupying some public space with profound slogans on cardboard or else holding hands singing we are the world.
Sorry but these sky is falling climate freaks just annoy me.

see the link below for all the story and the video.

Durban climate change conference: Big three of US, China and India agree to cut carbon emissions

A new deal to “save the planet” will force the world’s three biggest emitters the US, China and India to cut carbon emissions for the first time, although scientists fear it will come too late to stop global warming.

By Louise Gray, Environment Correspondent, in Durban

More than 190 countries managed to finally agree a new climate change deal amid chaotic scenes in the early hours of Sunday morning in Durban, South Africa.
As the United Nations conference overran into its second day it looked like the talks were on the brink of collapse as the EU and India argued over just two words in the text.
In the end the wording was decided in an extraordinary 10 minute ‘huddle’ between the exhausted ministers to decide the fate of future generations.
The ‘Durban Platform’ will commit all countries to a global deal on cutting carbon emissions by 2015 although it will not come into force until 2020.
The UN marked it as an “historic breakthrough to save the planet”, that makes up for the collapse of the last high profile attempt for a global deal in Copenhagen in 2009.

It was the first time that the ‘Big 3’, the US, India and China, that make up almost half of the world’s emissions, have agreed to cut emissions as part of a legal treaty.
“What we have done today is a great success for European diplomacy. We have managed to put this on the map and take the major emitters – the US, India and China – to a road map that will secure an overarching deal,” he said.
The EU has also agreed to a second commitment of the Kyoto Protocol from 2013 as part of the deal so that the world has a legal treaty to cut emissions in place before 2020.

Silly Foreigners

UPDATED UPDATED UPDATE: Still trying. Getting tired of going around and around with the emails. And I was wrong that both pictures had been sent to me to use. Only one was. The other—I’m only guessing here --- must have been attached to the original email I received, along with a full pasting of the text from my post. Because I wouldn’t recognize one of my own posts by it’s title just a couple days after posting it, nor would I be able to follow a hyperlink onto my own blog. Whatever. It doesn’t matter. That picture no longer exists on this blog, nor does the quotation that went along with it. I think everyone should be happy now.

I think this is about the last time I try and cover anything about any book anyone writes. It’s too much bother. I’ve been down this road several times before and I’m tired of it. In the future I’ll just be lazy and do a GR* and give you a link to somewhere else. Free publicity is getting too expensive from my end.

( * = I don’t want to write “Glenn Reynolds” or “the puppy blender” or mention “Instapundit” because I don’t want to hear from him ... or Frank J (who coined the ‘PB’ moniker I think, and who I hear from once every 3rd blue moon anyway, hope the baby’s doing great Frank.) for mentioning them without their prior approval.  Who needs the hassle? )

image

UPDATED UPDATE: I think we’re OK now. I’ve heard back from the publisher and I’m using the pictures they provided, and a short excerpt from some of the text provided. Always nice to have a bit of official blessing.

Um, Drew, those are the same pictures you had before!  Uh, um, no, they only look the same. These were provided with permission, instead of being harvested from somewhere else where they may not have been used with permission. Highly nuanced, but that’s how the world is these days.

image

UPDATE: I got an email from the publisher asking for the picture to be pulled. They say they are willing to supply an approved picture. Guess they’re pretty busy - I’ve seen the pictures on a dozen web sites at least. So I’ll play nice, and see what they send me instead.

In the mean time, reader Dan has written me a couple of times with information about women with guns on one of more of the Outdoor Channels. Seems there’s this reality show, Wildgame Nation about this family who work as hunting guides? And they also happen to host a beauty pagent that also has a hunt-off or something as part of it. News to me, I don’t watch that channel. I think Dan’s point was to show that pretty girls do exist who are no strangers to weaponry, not just posing with a rifle or a shotgun. Good point. Granted, that isn’t the point of this book. And I’m sure the Euro-wienies have all sorts of twisted theories about why American guys like to look at pictures of pretty American girls shooting guns. Or even regular looking women holding their own guns. Psst, EU: We aren’t afraid of strong women. Armed or not. Heck, they’re a blessing. Does carrying a gun make a woman (or a man) strong? No, but the attitude that grows alongside owning and responsibly using firearms does. It isn’t blood lust, and it isn’t homicidal intent. But it is a very American thing ... y’all over there just wouldn’t understand.

image

It’s often either humorous or irritating reading examples of American stereotyping in the foreign press. Sometimes it’s both. In the UK they apparently believe we’re all a gun mad lot, armed to the teeth and running about just hoping we’ll get the opportunity to shoot someone. Anyone. Everyone! It’s such a wrong idea that it’s laughable, but they keep right on believing it, year after year.

Here’s the latest ... ‘Chicks With Guns’ a new photo essay book that looks at the “often unsettling” relationship between American women and their own firearms. It’s been covered in a fair number of the British papers. Watching Americans is like watching a horror movie to them I think, or a slow motion train wreck. They’re badly frightened, they form the completely wrong opinions, but they can’t look away. Here are a couple excerpts from the book:

image Alexandra and Truitt, Texas

This is a downsized and cropped picture of a woman, her baby, and her shotgun. Sent to me by the publisher with explicit permission to use it. It is in the book. The book tells her story. It must be a good story because every other web site on the planet that is covering this book is running this picture and telling you all about the woman and her story. I, however, will tell you only that one of the digital newspapers in the UK misidentified her double barreled shotgun as a rifle. Don’t get on their case too hard for that, because in the the UK the upper classes who own firearms often own double barreled rifles. They are very expensive. They look quite a bit like shotguns, except that they have sights on top of the barrels.

******************

My take? Another Strong Mom picture. I wouldn’t mind having the shotgun. I think it’s an Ithaca, in 20 or 28 gauge, which means it isn’t super expensive, and a 28 gauge doesn’t recoil very much. I’m sure that the naked baby and the empty shotgun will give the Brits apoplexy, making them foam off about Dick Cheney, ‘Elf & Safety mandated pre-natal infant hearing protection, or something. Silly foreigners.

imageGreta, California

“Many weekends were spent on hunting trips and I loved waking up early to begin the adventure. As I wanted to be a true part of the shooting parties, I studied hard with my dad’s help and completed the Hunter’s Safety Course at the California Department of Fish and Game so I could receive a Lifetime Hunting License. I was so proud when the certificate arrived in the mail three weeks before my tenth birthday!

As I got older and became more familiar with guns, I graduated to a beautiful .22 Winchester automatic rifle, which I am still using for target shooting.”

Based on polling research and gun-sale statistics, an estimated 15million to 20million U.S. women own their own firearms.

Ms McCrum, who does not own a gun herself, chose to document some of them in her book, saying that while the numbers of gun-toting females may be high, their profiles are low.

In ‘Chicks with Guns’, the women photographed talk about why they own a firearm and what doing so means to them.

Some work in law enforcement, some on ranches. Others relish the excitement of hunting big game, while several are accomplished competition shooters.

Some are fiercely concerned about protection and self-defence, while for others, such as Mrs Knight, the guns have been passed down for generations and become cherished heirlooms.
...
Lindsay McCrum’s ‘Chicks with Guns’ is graced on the cover by Greta, a young woman who received her first gun as an infant and earned her lifetime hunting license before her 10th birthday.

******************

My take? I find this shot, which is the cover picture, quite interesting. Not a single one of those antique firearms was made in America, from the early schutzen matchlock rifle on top to the two left handed flintlocks in the middle down to the Danish blunderbuss at the bottom. Her pistol is an English Forsyth system* scent bottle pistol, ca. 1820. [thanks for that info, publisher lady!] And I’m pretty sure that the deer is a Red Stag, the kind that only grows over there. Hey, Americans can own nearly any kind of boomstick, but this seems an awfully European looking picture for a book about American women and their firearms. Nor was I aware of any states that had lifetime hunting licenses available to minors.

Update: Guess I’m wrong about the lifetime licenses; you can get one in California. And while I’m right about the guns and the stuffed animal in the picture, the young lady is from California. I gather her family collects antiques, including antique firearms. Greta got to play a young Annie Oakley in a PBS American Experience Special. They liked her shooting ability so much that they expanded her role and used her in more shooting scenes than she’d originally expected. Cool.

I guess I should be fair to the UK press. They do actually present the information about this new book in a pretty straightforward manner, at worst saying the images are “unsettling” but the public can comment on the article, and comment they certainly do. Both Wired Magazine and Huffington Post here in the US have covered the book, and even at those not-exactly-Red-State-America kind of blogs the reader reaction has been generally positive. About the worst they can come up with is that the women in the pictures aren’t always beauty queens, and perhaps they’re being exploited for profit by the photographer. Or that there aren’t enough/any black women in the pictures shown online. The Brits, on the other hand, pretty much loose their marbles and start foaming at the mouth, linking to US crime statistics and calling for world disarmament. I guess they just can’t handle it, but I’m not sure which “it” I’m referring to: the guns, or the strong and capable women who are carrying them?

From Amazon.com:

In Chicks with Guns, Lindsay McCrum has created a cultural portrait of women gun owners in America through photographs that are both beautiful and in a sense unexpected. The book examines issues of self-image and gender through the visual conventions of portraiture and fashion, but the guns are presented here not as superimposed props but as the very personal lifestyle accessories of the subjects portrayed. And it defies stereotypes often associated with aspects of the popular culture of both guns and women. Like the 15-20 million women gun owners in this country, the women we meet in Chicks with Guns ( their portraits are accompanied by their own words), reside in all regions of the country, come from all levels of society, and participate seriously in diverse shooting activities. The women here are sportswomen, hunters, and competition shooters. Some use guns on their jobs and some for self-defense. They may not all be classically beautiful, but in these photographs they all look beautiful, exuding honesty, confidence, poise, power and pride. They are real women with real guns that play a part in their lives. By focusing her camera respectfully on this particular aspect of the American scene, gun-wielding women and girls, Lindsay McCrum sheds new light on who we are in America today.

Can’t Say Better Late Than Never

It’s too late to look back now

50 Years Of Stupid Liberalism Has Destroyed Britian

Peiper mailed me this essay a few weeks back. Lazy me for not posting it then, but things haven’t changed one white in the meantime. The author laments the loss of nearly all labor skills in the UK, and is bothered that while the demand for a good part of that labor still exists, the only people available with the skills to perform it are foreigners. Generations of left wing schooling has taught the nation that it beneath them to get their hands dirty doing work ... with the result that their are now millions who are completely unemployable, and this has caused

The Death Of The Working Class

A million young Britons are on the dole while motivated foreigners fill job vacancies

The economic news has been relentlessly bleak. But it is not the Eurozone nor the banking crisis that presents Britain with its greatest potential crisis. It is unemployment - or rather the fact that so many Britons today are actually unemployable.

This week, unemployment hit a 17-year high of 2.6million and experts warned of a ‘lost generation’ of young people since more than one in five, or one million, aged between 16 and 24 are now out of work.

But these statistics are far from the only ones we should be worried about. What is really alarming is that while fewer and fewer Britons have work, foreigners seem to be taking all the jobs that are available.

Last year, as the number of Britons with jobs fell by 311,000, the number of overseas-born people taking jobs in Britain rose by 181,000 or by 495 per day.

To politicians, obsessed as they are with equality, the disappearance of the working class is a wonderful endorsement of their policies. They boast how so many more of our young are in higher education than ever before, being trained to do something useful in society when they leave college. And it is true that some of them are.

But huge numbers of the young emerge from their colleges resolutely unemployable in any obvious capacity.  They have been gulled by these boastful politicians into learning subjects which are entirely unsuitable for higher education, ranging from media studies to hairdressing - subjects which in the past were learnt on the job through apprenticeships and experience.

There are three unbudgeable historical reasons for the unemployment catastrophe we face. The first is the wrecking of our educational system during the Sixties and Seventies. The second is the dismantling of our entire manufacturing and industrial base during the Eighties in favour of ‘service’ and ‘financial’ industries. And the third is the welfare state - which is largely responsible for the erosion of the work ethic in our society.

Fifty years of bad education, 30 years of placing all our hopes in the City of London, and three generations of welfare dependency have put this country in a position where it is almost impossible to see how it can help itself out of its difficulties.

No politician dares to tell the truth to the million unemployed young people, and the millions more ‘students’ who hope to be employed when their studies are complete.

The truth is that this country has been ruined by a political and establishment class with no vision. A class which has undermined the notions of endeavour and duty and replaced them with a cradle-to-grave sense of entitlement in which the State would always bale you out if you were too lazy or too incompetent to work.

It was this deluded liberal class which instilled the belief that to work in a shipyard or a factory or to learn a craft is humiliating —much better to go to a Mickey Mouse university to study some pointless degree.

The result is that we live in a country which makes hardly anything the rest of the world wants to buy. A country whose future is deeply perilous and which has long since lost belief in the three things which made Britain great in the days of Brunel and Wedgwood: training the young; trade; and honest, hard work.

Surely this is a UK-only kind of situation that could never ever possibly happen here in the USA. Right? I’d ask Pedro, Juan, and Jorge their opinions, but they’re over there up on that ladder, still painting that house since 7 o’clock this morning.

It’s a good essay, well worth the 10 minute read. One thing about it that I do disagree with though, is that the old English class prejudice against being in trade is still in evidence: although the author bemoans the lack of painters, plumbers, electricians, and other manual laborers, he can’t let go of the rotten “this kind of work is suitable for those with low intelligence” attitude. Wrong. Wrong, wrong. “dirty hands, empty head” is a crock; there is no reason on earth that a crown molding specialist can’t have a degree in philosophy, or that an electrician couldn’t possibly understand quantum. Besides ... these days a plumber earns more than a corporate middle manager, sets his own hours, runs his own show, and doesn’t ever have to attend a Monday morning status meeting.

Yay Me

Guess I’m not so estupide after all. Here are a couple links to things I figured out myself this week, and either posted about here or commented on at Vilmar’s. Either that, or there are others as equally deranged as I am. Nah, can’t be. Both of the stories below are backed up with considerable research.

Yes, Obama is a Communist. In detail. I’m not patting myself on the back for this one; it’s been obvious for 3 years or more now, and hopefully tens of millions of my fellow citizens not only realize this truth, but have the smarts to realize what that means to the whole big picture. Put bluntly: he is NOT an inept President. The things he keeps doing that make the situations worse here are NOT done by accident or caused by naivete.

No surprise on this one (see Attaboy #1 above): the Iranians got their filthy paws on our top secret drone by direct presidential order. No shir, Shitlock. I had ventured the opinion that this would be a great ruse if done right; a perfect chance to fool the camel humpers with false technology or another opportunity to get another killer computer virus into the heart of their military R&D workshops, but I don’t have the slightest bit of faith that such a Machiavellian move was done. No, Odoofus gave our latest and greatest spy tech to our enemies on purpose, because they aren’t his enemies. Just like Clinton and the missile tech to China ... and it will probably come to light a few years from now that a large amount of money made its way by several hard to follow trails from Tehran to the DNC coffers. Guaranteed. Just like what Clinton did.

So here’s a cute puppy picture I stole from Theo’s.

More Jailbird Jihadis

Lather, rinse, repeat: it seems like a never ending cycle. Has anyone taken a look at the number of American jihadis who converted to jizzlam while in jail? Or should we focus even more sharply and also see how many of them are black? Seems to be mighty commonplace to me. Of course, that would be profiling, wouldn’t it? And racist! Yeah, and the sin would be even worse because it would turn out to be >95% accurate. Bad Drew. Bad bad bad. Raaaaaaacist!

Man pleads guilty in Seattle terror plot

[12/8/2011] One-half of a duo charged with planning a terrorist attack on a Seattle military installation pleaded guilty to federal charges Thursday.

Walli Mujahidh’s guilty plea to charges, including conspiracy to murder officers and agents of the United States and conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction, will help him avoid a life sentence.

Mujahidh, 32, and Abu Khalid Abdul-Latif were charged with plotting to use assault rifles to attack the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) on Seattle’s East Marginal Way.

A sting operation conducted by the Joint Terrorism Task Force foiled the plot in June.

[06/24/2011] The defendants initially planned an attack on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, but later changed targets. The defendants intended to carry out their attack with both grenades and assault rifles.

Law enforcement began monitoring Abdul-Latif (aka Joseph Anthony Davis) and Mujahidh (aka Frederick Domingue, Jr.) on June 6, after being tipped off by a confidential source.

The informant, who has a criminal record, was approached by Abdul-Latif as a recruit to join the plot and supply weapons to the conspirators, according to charging papers.

[12/08/2011] The pair is charged with conspiracy to murder officers and employees of the United States, conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction, and possession of firearms in furtherance of crimes of violence. Abdul-Latif is also charged with two counts of illegal possession of firearms.

Abdul-Latif was scheduled to face trial next May.

Prosecutors did not divulge how the suspects became acquainted, though Mujahidh formerly lived in Seattle. He was convicted in municipal court of violating a domestic violence protection order stemming from a 2007 incident.

Mujahidh voluntarily spoke with investigators after the arrests and confessed, according to the federal complaint against them. The pair initially planned an attack on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, but later shifted to what they considered an easier target, the complaint said.

Abdul-Latif, 33, has a criminal record and a troubled family past, but allegations that he plotted a terrorist attack surprised those who knew him.H

I bet you half a stale donut and a tube of caulk that Davis and Dominque both were converted in the slammer.
Hmmm, maybe if we kept jizzlam out of the prisons and force-fed the inmates Christianity instead, there would a whole lot less of these types.

transgender education for five yr olds, and laws that prove the law is an ass

This is an update to an earlier post along the same line.  Sex ed for toddlers. Or so I view 5 year olds.  OK, maybe not strictly speaking toddlers but kind of young I would think for this.  Transgender classes for five year olds?  What next?
Glad I’m not a parent.  I’d really be stressed. Above and beyond my present state.

Something else in the article here that proves how stupid things can get.  Apparently if you kill a transgender person due to hate of that state of being, you will get 30 years in the slammer.  I guess as opposed to just killing someone cos you felt like it or were angry at them. Or killing in a robbery or home invasion. BUT,
if the crime were done out of hate, that’s much worse.  WTF?  Dead is dead period where the victim is concerned.  Talk to the families of victims and it’s doubtful they’d feel any better knowing their kin was murdered but hey, the killer didn’t hate the victim. Oh, well that’s alright then. 10 years off in five for good behavior.

A 19-month-old toddler called Fletcher was punched to death by his father, because he would not stop crying in his cot. Daddy was sentenced to nine years. Presumably, if he’d killed a transgender person his sentence would have been much higher.

Fraken idiots.

Transgender lessons for pupils aged five: Classes will ‘overload children with adult issues’, say critics

By JACK DOYLE

Children as young as five could be given lessons on ‘transgender equality’ under Government plans.

Information about transgender people is set to be included in the curriculum for personal, social and health education lessons, which are taught in thousands of primary and secondary schools.
The proposal is part of a Coalition policy programme entitled ‘Advancing transgender equality – a plan for action’, which was published yesterday.

In it, ministers warn a wide range of steps are needed to combat ‘transphobic bullying’, which is defined as the taunting of children who express ‘gender variant behaviours’.

‘Tackling transphobic bullying helps to address unacceptable behaviour and ensures that our society becomes more tolerant.’
As part of its review of PSHE, the Department for Education will consider adding ‘the teaching of equality and diversity, including transgender equality’ to the curriculum.

But critics said there was a danger that children were being overloaded with ‘adult issues’ as a result of such lessons.
Margaret Morrissey, founder of campaign group Parents Outloud, said: ‘These are adult issues and we should leave it until children are older or until they ask.

‘The problem is we are overloading our children with issues that they should not have to consider at a young age. PSHE is already overloaded with other issues.
‘We have given them sex education and teenage pregnancies have risen year on year.

‘We have told children about drugs education and we have a serious problem with drugs. We have told them about drinking and cigarettes and we have more children with alcohol problems and smoking.’

Also announced yesterday were longer jail terms for murderers who are motivated by hatred of transgender people.
The basic sentence for anyone convicted of such killings will be 30 years, Kenneth Clarke said.

Similar attacks on disabled people will also face the same tough minimum term.
The Justice Secretary said that offenders ‘should be in no doubt that they face a more severe sentence for these unacceptable crimes’

Here’s a comment from a Daily Mail reader.

The basic sentence for anyone convicted of such killings will be 30 years, Kenneth Clarke said. The public want the basic sentence FOR ANY KILLING TO BE THIRTY YEARS not just those motivated by some sort of hatred towards a particular group. By making these comments he is effectively saying that a transgenders death is more worthy than an heterosexual persons death. I could not care less what a persons sexual orientation is but equality does not mean treating these groups more favourably or punishing those who commit crimes against them more severely no matter what the motive. If I was mugged the police would simply give me a crime number and that would be it but under Clarkes new rules If I was transgender and stated the crime was a hate crime more effort would be put in to catch the mugger .

border control euro style. as usual, brits on short end. needed, churchill/thatcher/marlbougough

Border? What border?  I don’t got to help you protect your stinkin border.

Instead of here we go again this might better be described as here we are still.  At least in the western states border patrol has a good idea of where and who. And, they can stop illegals. Provided they can catch em.  But this defies anything I’ve read on the subject so far.  Aside from all those dumb human rights issues the left loves so much.

Here’s a situation where;

British officials may now have to turn a blind eye to suspected illegal migrants.

OR FACE ARREST.  By foreign cops.

Read how and why.

Eurostar loophole exposed: Illegal immigrants use ticket ruse to sneak into Britain
· Passengers buy a train ticket from Brussels to Lille but can stay on until London without passport checks
· Alarm first raised in 2001 but nothing was done about it
· UKBA’s Jonathan Sedgwick tells MPs it is ‘unsatisfactory’ but insists it is not a loophole
By JACK DOYLE, HOME AFFAIRS CORRESPONDENT

BELGIAN POLICE HAVE THREATENED TO ARREST BRITISH BORDER STAFF WHO STOP ILLEGAL MIGRANTS TAKING EUROSTAR TRAINS TO LONDON.

Dozens of migrants are thought to exploit the so-called ‘Lille Loophole’ every day.

They buy a Eurostar ticket from Brussels to Lille, allowing them to avoid the UK border checks in the Belgian capital.

And when the train stops in Lille they simply stay on board and carry on through the Channel Tunnel to London, where passports are rarely checked.
Internal border agency figures suggest use of the loophole has shot up in recent months.

The Belgian authorities insist Britain cannot interrogate Eurostar passengers with tickets to France because both countries are inside the European Union’s Schengen area of free movement.

UK officials were pulled up when they tried to stop two Iranian men said to ‘bear all the hallmarks of Lille loopholer

THE LILLE LOOPHOLE, HOW IT WORKS

Hiding under a Eurostar train is one way of getting into Britain – as is trying to sneak into the back of a lorry.
But both are dangerous and far from certain to succeed – unlike the ‘Lille loophole’.

Illegal migrants must first buy a ticket – often for as little as £23 –from Brussels in Belgium to Lille in France.

Crucially, this ticket allows them to bypass the British border controls at the Eurostar terminal in Brussels, which are designed for those with tickets to London.

Instead the migrants walk down the passport-free lane for Lille passengers – where only their ticket is checked.

When the train gets to Lille, they stay on board and complete the journey to London.

Some buy a second ticket covering the final leg of their trip so they do not fall foul of ticket inspectors.

Brussels police say stopping passengers with tickets to Lille, even those thought to be headed for London, breaches the Schengen agreement on free movement.

Schengen area of free movement.
Google that. Then imagine the same thing in the USA. Oh boy. I guess in one way we already have something like it. But it isn’t legal. Right?
This is what a borderless Eu means. If they have their way, and there isn’t any mistaking this, the unelected political pygmies that pull the strings, would like nothing better then to do away with individual national identities, along with the borders.  A united states of Europe, the national bank would be the Bundesbank with France and Germany running the whole show.
At least with the Germans things might be well organized and French cooking really is good. I’m not a gourmet so don’t know if German beer can be swilled
with Coq au vin.

Obama: Limited Gov’t That Preserves Free Markets ‘Doesn’t Work. It Has Never Worked’

In a speech delivered at Osawatomie High School in Osawatomie, Kansas, on Tuesday, President Barack Obama argued that while a limited government that preserves free markets “speaks to our rugged individualism” as Americans, such a system “doesn’t work” and “has never worked” and that Americans must look to a more activist government that taxes more, spends more and regulates more if they want to preserve the middle class.

“‘[T]here is a certain crowd in Washington who, for the last few decades, have said, let’s respond to this economic challenge with the same old tune. ‘The market will take care of everything,’ they tell us,” said Obama. “If we just cut more regulations and cut more taxes--especially for the wealthy--our economy will grow stronger.

“Sure, they say, there will be winners and losers,” Obama continued. “But if the winners do really well, then jobs and prosperity will eventually trickle down to everybody else. And, they argue, even if prosperity doesn’t trickle down, well, that’s the price of liberty.

“Now, it’s a simple theory,” said Obama. “And we have to admit, it’s one that speaks to our rugged individualism and our healthy skepticism of too much government. That’s in America’s DNA. And that theory fits well on a bumper sticker. But here’s the problem: It doesn’t work. It has never worked.

Go read the rest, and watch the video.

With the economy in the septic tank, the housing market in free fall, unchecked unemployment that only “improves” when the numbers get diddled, rampant cronyism and corruption at all levels of government, the weakest foreign policy in our nation’s history, deliberate and repeated efforts by the government to eradicate citizen’s wealth by devaluing the currency, government control of several major industries, a deliberately moronic fiscal policy, a corrupt justice department arming criminal gangs, laundering drug money, and selectively enforcing only the laws they approve of, an entire political party supporting gangs of unwashed urban anarchists “occupying” cities left and right, it’s no surprise that Obama’s poll numbers are falling like lead balloons. He’s backed into a corner and under the kind of pressure that no amount of golf or another extravagant vacation at taxpayer expense can cure. And under that pressure, the real Obama comes out. And here it is.

The GOP could run an otter as their candidate and still win; this speech should be all the campaign strategy they’d ever need. Of course, they’d have to explain what it meant, as most citizens under 40 don’t have a clue about either freedom or tyranny. Or history, or why capitalism made us the richest country in the history of the world, at all levels of society.

It does not matter one whit whether you call it communism, socialism, national socialism, progressivism, or fascism. Minor shades of difference; they’re all highly similar at the core. They all focus on an all-powerful government that controls and regulates ever aspect of everything. They all believe in rule by a small core of superior elites, and everyone else is a serf. That’s what Obama is in favor of. That’s what he’s about. Then, now, always. Always was, always will be. He considers the USA to be fundamentally flawed, right down to the Constitution. He even said as much during the 2008 campaign, but no one actually listened. They were too busy fainting over a clean, articulate, nice looking black man with only a minor criminal record. They said that too, and nobody listened either. And ignored that his entire social world, from childhood on up, was a circle of anarchists and communists.

The President of The United States of America is a Red.

And here it is, in his own words.

Fundamental Change, indeed.

Impeach him.
