Binghamton NY - Mo’s birthday parade update

Looks like things went off pretty much without a hitch. A whole 400 marchers were involved, some from as far away as Philadelphia, including representatives from the American Open University, an online school that teaches only islamic studies. As I predicted, it was a grizzly day. Spring doesn’t arrive up there until May.image

About 400 people marched through downtown Binghamton Saturday to celebrate the prophet Muhammad’s birthday and show their Islamic faith to the community.

They were met by some curious stares from scattered onlookers and two protesters, one of whom was hustled away by Binghamton police after using a portable loud speaker to yell comments at the marchers.

The march was part of a series of activities organized by International Quranic Open University and Muslims of the Americas, a controversial Islamic community headquartered in Hancock.

Participants said they wanted to improve relations among Muslims, Christians and Jews and reach out to the broader community.
...
Speakers at the rally included Binghamton Mayor Matthew Ryan and the Rev. Douglas Taylor, of the Unitarian Universalist congregation in Binghamton. Taylor said the event was an important step to try to lessen the “unfortunate tension” that can exist between Muslims and some in the wider community.

Muslim groups can be the target of rumors and innuendo, some at the rally said. “We show it’s better to go by information you see than rumors,” said Hussein Adams, deputy director of the International Quranic Open University.

Saturday’s event was only the first step, Hasib Qadri said, adding the communities intend to become more visible locally through social programs and community events. “We’ve decided it’s not beneficial for us to stay by ourselves,” he said.

Local commentors weren’t thrilled, and hastened to point out that one member of Muslims of American, former Binghanton resident Ramadan Abdullah, is currently on trial in Fresno CA for murdering a police officer. Nice folks, you bet. Another comment somewhere at the Press & Sun Bulletin, asks where the “real” muslims are, since all the people he saw parading were black American converts. I lost that link, sorry.

Blog of the day

Sometimes you just feel the need to mix the serious with the silly. In that case, take a trip over to Aardvarks & Asshats, where the blogger ( I think it’s someone calling themselves Steamboat McGoo ) mixes science news stories with democrat bashing, along with a strong interest in poop. The results are ... unique, to say the least. And often pretty funny. The blog is affiliated as an Ace of Spades Moron Blogger, um, m’kay. I have no idea what that’s all about. Lots of neat pictures too.

Sample posts include The Binomial Theorem And Errant Poop Chute Utilization Amongst DNC Officials, which is a hoot of a title, as well as Ancient Meteor Hit Great Britain - And DNC Rectal Ailments Continue To Itch, Burn, And Ooze. Hey, I’m impressed. It takes some serious bong hits brains to come up with titles like these.

And for the past few months, realizing the true nature of the internet, A & A has done the necessary thing to increase traffic: every post, no matter what the story is about, is ended with this kind little message and a daily link: “Here is some porn”. Ok, sometimes it’s “Here is some smut.” Although truthfully it’s just links to nekkid ladies and nothing at all hardcore. Isn’t it great the way they take care of their readership? I think we could all learn a lesson here perhaps.

which reminds me ...

Politics Snuff Olympic Flame, Again

Officials extinguish Olympic torch twice

The Olympic torch was extinguished and put on a bus for protection at least twice Monday as it moved through Paris amid heavy protests, including at least one attempt to rush a torch-bearer.

A man identified as a Green Party activist was grabbed by security officers as he headed for 1997 400-meter world champion Stephane Diagana, who was carrying the torch at the beginning of its relay from the first floor of the Eiffel Tower. The man was tackled before he got close to Diagana.

Later in the relay, police threw other protesters to the ground and carried some away. The torch was snuffed out and placed on a bus.

It was extinguished and put on a bus again less than an hour later as protesters booed and began chanting “Tibet!” although none appeared to rush the torch.

The flame’s round-the-world trip is the longest in Olympic history, and it is meant to shine a spotlight on China’s economic and political power. But activists have used (it) to publicize anger at Beijing’s policies at home and abroad.

There have been protests since the flame embarked on a 85,000-mile journey from Ancient Olympia in Greece to Beijing for the Aug. 8-24 Olympic Games.

The torch relay is expected to face demonstrations in San Francisco, New Delhi and possibly elsewhere on its 21-stop, six-continent tour before arriving in mainland China on May 4.

In Beijing Monday, International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge said he was “very concerned” about unrest in Tibet, his strongest comments to date on the political storm surrounding the Games.

“The International Olympic Committee has expressed its serious concern and calls for a rapid peaceful resolution in Tibet,” Rogge said. He added that violent protests, “for whatever reason,” are “not compatible with the values of the torch relay or the Olympic Games.”

This is just plain stupid. The Olympics should have nothing to do with politics. This crap started back in the 1980 with Dhimmi Carter using an Olympic boycott as an effeminate protest against the Soviet Union. Whup-de-freakin-do. Now we have crazed fwenchies trying to mug their own athletes as a form of protest against the latest host nation’s policies and actions.

Tiananmen SquareWake the fuck up you idiots. You know damn well that China couldn’t squeeze off a fart’s worth of concern about Human Rights. You know that they’ve occupied Tibet for decades. You’ve known, at least since the Tienanmen Square incident that China is more than heavy handed when it comes to civil rights and free speech.  So why is the Olympics even being hosted in China? If the Olympics is supposed to be so much more than just a sporting event, if it’s supposed to represent freedom, equality, human rights, mutual respect and all that other good stuff, why was China even considered as a host nation? Hell, why are they even invited to play? Why go through this silly song and dance every 4 years, when a better way would be to set up a private “world stadium” on some island somewhere, and have the games there every time? That’s the premise of the UN building at Turtle Bay; sure, it’s in the USA but it exists, like the Vatican in Rome, as a tiny bit of land that doesn’t belong to the country it’s located in. It’s sacrosanct. Inviolable. Just find a place near an airport and with good parking.

But no. What the Olympics are really about is money. Having them in your country is a cash cow so laden with milk she can’t even stand up. Billions in sales. Billions. So that means politics, kick-backs, bribery, and all the dirty business of business come into play when it’s time to choose the next host. So it winds up being China this time, because they have lots of “hyeung yao” to spread around. And you know how protesters are so brave to attack the people and institutions that have no direct impact on the object of their protest. Duh. So we get protests and near riots because somebody came running by with a flame on a stick. And the stick needs it’s own protection squad, and sometimes has to be extinguished and subjected to forced busing “for it’s own good”.

Want my opinion? If the flame goes out it doesn’t count. Period. Mulligan, at best. The whole thing needs to be redone from the start, and this time try a direct path from Athens to Beijing. I’m pretty sure that route doesn’t come anywhere near Paris. Cut the political bullshit already.

I’d like to see a free Tibet. Sure, who wouldn’t. Let’s all go to the UN and press them to get off their fat asses and do something about it. Yeah, like that will happen. Useless Nitwits. It’s only been 50 years or so, I’m sure they’re still working out a strongly worded memorandum.

DC Cops back down on house search plan

Nice try, flatfoot

D.C. police have scaled back plans to go door-to-door asking residents in high-crime neighborhoods whether officers can search their homes for guns as part of a new amnesty program aimed at getting weapons off the streets.

The Safe Homes program instead will be offered by appointment only at residents’ request, said Chief Cathy L. Lanier.

Lanier joined Mayor Adrian M. Fenty (D) last month in announcing the program and saying that police would begin work March 24 in the Washington Highlands area of Southeast Washington. In hindsight, officials said, more details should have been worked out before the announcement was made.

“I should have realized that the program needed to go out with a whole lot more information,” Lanier said. “I should have put it out with very clear facts.”

“The way it was announced by the mayor, so little had been worked out, and people were free to imagine the most intimidating sort of interaction with police, which nobody wants,” Mendelson said.

A Safe Homes program similar to the District’s was announced in Boston last week after several months of citizen resistance and delays. That department has yet to get a call to search a home.

“We’re still waiting for the phone calls to come in,” said Elaine Driscoll, spokeswoman for the Boston police.

Sure, sure, now we get it. You were just trying to help, that’s all. So sorry we misunderstood you. This new way is just fine then.

Um, maybe, maybe not. More likely not. This is still a police program that lets the cops play Daddy (en loco parentis) by request ... probably in a lot of homes that have no daddy ... and where the kids are totally out of control. Because good, responsible parents have no need of this program whatsoever. Am I right? If you’re at the point where you think your kid is stashing guns and drugs in his room, and you yourself feel so intimidated by your own child that you have to call in the cops to do something about it, then you’re a total failure as a parent and your kid is a mess. Is that the right way to look at this? Or is it that the Nanny State has become so overbearing that parents feel the need to call in the government to enforce discipline for them? If so, that’s an awfully sad state of affairs.

Teen Gang Invades Aussie School, some injured

Sydney School Invaded

Police arrested five young men allegedly armed with baseball bats and a machete after terrified students were assaulted and some injured by flying glass in a window-smashing rampage at a Sydney school today.

The attack took place at Merrylands High School in Sherwood Road, Merrylands, in Sydney’s west, at 8.50am today.

An Ambulance Service of NSW spokesman said one student was later admitted to Westmead Children’s Hospital for treatment of a “minor facial injury”.

A teacher was also taken to Westmead Hospital with bruising to the back of the head.

“We’ve assessed 18 school-aged children ... all having minor injuries, some lacerations, some bruising and they’re obviously quite anxious about what has happened,” the ambulance spokesman said.

Detective Inspector Jim Stewart said school students had been gathered at morning assembly when the five men entered the school carrying weapons.

Teachers then ushered students into classrooms as part of lockdown procedures, Inspector Stewart said. The five then began smashing windows of classrooms while students were inside.

One male teacher attempted to stop the offenders and was beaten over the back of the head with an unknown object, Inspector Stewart said. He was taken to hospital.

Two students, a male and a female, were also assaulted and received minor injuries, he said.

Eighteen students were treated by ambulance officers. Inspector Stewart said the offenders were aged between 14 and 16.

“The children were told to go into lockdown procedure and so they went to whatever lockdown classroom they’re meant to be in and they go through the roll call to make sure their groups are there at which point these people started to smash windows.”

The said the students were told to get under tables while the youths were smashing windows.

The teachers were actually [barricading] the door for these guys which is really way above the call of duty, which is really good,” the parent added.

They showed the parents that they put their life on the line for the kids.
...
There are a number of students with minor injuries, although any injury is serious and there is one teacher who has also been treated by ambulance officers, but we believe they are all well apart from the obvious shock that such an incident would cause,” (NSW DoE Regional Director) Mr Murie said.

“It’s my understanding that it was without warning and can I say that the principal ... acted in an outstanding manner and so did the staff and so did the students.”

“They caused a considerable amount of damage,” a police spokesman told reporters. “There have been some assaults. But there are no serious injuries as a result of those assaults.”

Attacks on schools are rare in Australia, where schoolyard security is usually low-key but south-western Sydney has a growing youth-gang problem.

When asked if the attack was retribution for something, Detective Inspector Jim Stewart of Holroyd Police said: “Possibly.  “The information to us is they were coming here ... seeking someone,” he told Macquarie Radio.  But Inspector Stewart said police had not yet established the exact motive for the attack.  “We’re a bit confounded as to the reasons why,” he told Fairfax Radio Network.
...
“It beggars belief they would attempt this kind of activity against innocent students,” he said.

Ok, that’s all the info I can find right now on this story. I’m glad none of the students or teachers were killed or seriously injured. I’m also glad that the rampaging teens weren’t cut down in a hail of gunfire, though it seems that could have been justified. But this incident does show, yet again, a total disregard for the sanctity of schools, and an awareness of their weakness that thuggish elements don’t at all hesitate to take advantage of.

In my day it was “just you wait until after school” and “see you off school grounds”. We had our disagreements and fistfights, but there weren’t weapons involved. And this level of utter brazenness was unthinkable. Seriously, storming the school with bats to go after somebody? We couldn’t even think such things. The audacity of these 5 kids is phenomenal.

I want to see the follow ups on this one. I want to know who these rampaging youths are, and I want to see them face major penalties, along with lots of psychiatric sessions.

And for the teachers who acted to protect their students, Good On Ya, Mates! Though it would have been a nicer story had the entire school risen up and thrashed these junior hooligans but good. Bats and machettes aren’t such great weapons when you have 500 enraged people throwing desks and chairs at you, and swinging loaded book sacks. That would have been the best lesson of this day.

Tire company develops retractable studs

Company Develops High Tech Winter Tire

image

Studded tires work best on snowy and icy roads across the nation’s snowbelt, but highway officials wince at the damage they cause when roads are dry. Promoters of a new type of winter tire believe they’ve solved the problem with some James Bond-style gadgetry.

Q Tires feature retractable studs that emerge when the driver flicks a switch inside the car. When the snow and ice melt, all it takes is another flip of the switch — and voila — the studs hide back under the treads and the tires are transformed again.

Q Tires are installed and balanced just like conventional tires, but a wireless signal is used to activate an air chamber inside the tire that causes the studs to appear. Like conventional tires, they can be repaired with a plug or patch at any tire dealer, the company said.

The tires do lose a small amount of pressure when the studs are retracted, so motorists using the Q Celsius will have to pay closer attention to tire pressure. But Starr said the motorist can retract the studs 30 times before there’s a significant loss of pressure in the tire.

Um, neat. Great I guess. Except that Speed Racer had them on the Powerful Mach 5 40 years ago!!

Arrgh, The French!!

An update on Arrgh, Pirates

MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP)—France has made contact with pirates who hijacked a French luxury yacht off Africa’s eastern coast with 30 crew members on board, the French foreign minister said Sunday.
...
French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner told France-Inter radio that France was in contact with the pirates.
...
image“We have established contact, and the case may take a long time,” he said, without providing more details. Asked whether France would consider paying a ransom, he responded, “We’ll see.”
...
We have to do everything to avoid bloodshed,” Kouchner said.
...
Abdirahman Mohamed Bangah, information minister for the semiautonomous northern region of Puntland, said he hoped international forces will “rescue this ship” at Eyl, confirming its location.
France’s prime minister said Saturday that he hoped to avoid force in freeing the crew but that no options had been ruled out. There are 22 French citizens, including six women, on board, as well as Ukrainian citizens, authorities said.
...
A French diplomat working on the case said the hostages were being treated well, and that they have been provided food and given the opportunity to wash. The diplomat spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to media.

So fwance will take the nuanced way out, and negotiate and negotiate and negotiate, eventually paying a much smaller ransnom than what was asked for. And the pirates will likely go free. Meanwhile the ship’s crew can bloody well rot.

Even the fly crusted locals expect a stronger reaction from fwance:

Abdirahman Mohamed Bangah, information minister for the semiautonomous northern region of Puntland, said he hoped international forces will “rescue this ship” at Eyl, confirming its location.

Eyl, Somalia is about 3 miles up the river from the coast. It is the smallest of towns, perhaps 3/4 of a mile by 1/2, and seems to have perhaps a hundred simple trailer-like homes, each with a fenced in yard. Google Earth it up:

Looks like a hundred Marines could take the entire town in about and hour.

Does a bear rub in the woods?

Itchy and Scratchy

Heh, I do this all the time myself. Except I use a doorframe. Otherwise the bark and sap get stuck to my clothes. Possibley proving men aren’t dogs, they’re bears.

Neat soundtrack too. Sounds rather like a Jethro Tull jam.

Charlton Heston, R.I.P.

Charlton Heston, 1923 - 2008

Charlton Heston as Moses

LOS ANGELES — Charlton Heston, who won the 1959 best actor Oscar as the chariot-racing “Ben-Hur” and portrayed Moses, Michelangelo, El Cid and other heroic figures in movie epics of the ‘50s and ‘60s, has died. He was 84.

The actor died Saturday night at his home in Beverly Hills with his wife Lydia at his side, family spokesman Bill Powers said.

The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1994 at a party with Hollywood and political friends. They had been married 64 years when he died.

In June 1998, Heston was elected president of the National Rifle Association, for which he had posed for ads holding a rifle. He delivered a jab at then-President Clinton, saying, “America doesn’t trust you with our 21-year-old daughters, and we sure, Lord, don’t trust you with our guns.”

Heston stepped down as NRA president in April 2003, telling members his five years in office were “quite a ride. ... I loved every minute of it.”

Later that year, Heston was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor. “The largeness of character that comes across the screen has also been seen throughout his life,” President Bush said at the time.

He engaged in a lengthy feud with liberal Ed Asner during the latter’s tenure as president of the Screen Actors Guild. His latter-day activism almost overshadowed his achievements as an actor, which were considerable.

In late years, Heston drew as much publicity for his crusades as for his performances. In addition to his NRA work, he campaigned for Republican presidential and congressional candidates and against affirmative action.

He resigned from Actors Equity, claiming the union’s refusal to allow a white actor to play a Eurasian role in “Miss Saigon” was “obscenely racist.” He attacked CNN’s telecasts from Baghdad as “sowing doubts” about the allied effort in the 1990-91 Gulf War.

At a Time Warner stockholders meeting, he castigated the company for releasing an Ice-T album that purportedly encouraged cop killing.

Thanks for everything you’ve done Chuck. On camera and off. We’ll miss you. Go in peace.

Statement released by the Heston family:

“To his loving friends, colleagues and fans, we appreciate your heartfelt prayers and support. Charlton Heston was seen by the world as larger than life. He was known for his chiseled jaw, broad shoulders and resonating voice, and, of course, for the roles he played. Indeed, he committed himself to every role with passion, and pursued every cause with unmatched enthusiasm and integrity.

We knew him as an adoring husband, a kind and devoted father, and a gentle grandfather, with an infectious sense of humor. He served these far greater roles with tremendous faith, courage and dignity. He loved deeply, and he was deeply loved.

No one could ask for a fuller life than his. No man could have given more to his family, to his profession, and to his country. In his own words, “I have lived such a wonderful life! I’ve lived enough for two people.”

arrgh, pirates UPDATE

PARIS — France’s military is keeping close tabs on a French luxury yacht seized by pirates off Somalia’s coast, and officials hope to avoid using force to free the 30 crew members, the prime minister said Saturday.

Attackers stormed the 288-foot Le Ponant on Friday as it returned without passengers from the Seychelles, in the Indian Ocean, toward the Mediterranean Sea, officials with French maritime transport company CMA-CGM said.

French Prime Minister Francois Fillon said officials were “following the hostage situation minute by minute.”

“Our priority is to protect the lives of the people on board,” Fillon said while visiting the town of Le Mans. “All channels of discussion are open to try to resolve this case by trying not to use force.”

France has considerable military resources in the region, including a base in Djibouti and a naval flotilla circulating in the Indian Ocean.

A French frigate, Le Commandant Bouan, was temporarily diverted from its role in the naval arm of Operating Enduring Freedom on Friday to track the yacht, military spokesman Cmdr. Christophe Prazuck said. A Canadian helicopter on the HCMS Charlottetown also was taking part, he said.

Huh, what? These are pirates froggies. Why would you not use force? Um, uh, oho, I get it. Get your people back, get the ship back, then use force. Could work, could work!

Pirates seized more than two dozen ships off Somalia’s coast last year.

Denmark’s government paid a ransom to win the release in August of the crew of a Danish cargo ship that was hijacked by Somali pirates some two months after they were taken captive.

The U.S. Navy has led international patrols to try to combat piracy in the region. Last year, the guided missile destroyer USS Porter opened fire to destroy pirate skiffs tied to a Japanese tanker.

That’s more like it. Find a pirate, sink a pirate.

The International Maritime Bureau, which tracks piracy, said in its annual report earlier this year that global pirate attacks rose 10 percent in 2007, marking the first increase in three years.

Well then it’s high time the world got it’s head out of it’s ass and did something about it. The biggest two pirate areas in off the coast of Somalia, and around the islands of Indonesia. How many countries have navies? And they all need some kind of target practice.

Maybe if Somalia woke up one morning and found that all of its boats had mysteriously sunk overnight? And all the coastal towns on fire? Gotta be some way to solve this little problem.

Police withdraw anti-gambling posters depicting Bill Clinton

It’s very late here and I just couldn’t resist posting this.
Cheers.

Met Police withdraw anti-gambling posters depicting Bill Clinton
By Richard Edwards, Crime Correspondent
Last Updated: 6:40pm BST 04/04/2008

The Metropolitan police have embarrassingly removed posters which used a cartoon of a “shifty” looking Bill Clinton to warn of the dangers of gambling.

Bill Clinton depicted in the Metropolitan Police’s poster
It emerged yesterday that community police officers in east London had produced the posters proclaiming: “Street Gamblers: Don’t Give Them Your Money!” with an image of the former American president looming over a gambling table, with his large hands planted next to a three-card trick.

The image was drawn by the Australian Pulitzer prizewinning cartoonist and can be viewed at the Library of Congress on Capitol Hill.

Scotland Yard became aware of the posters yesterday and in a statement said that they have “since been removed”.

They also apologised for “any inconvenience caused by the posters” - presumably to the cartoonist and Mr Clinton. The statement said: “We are aware of the Safer Neighbourhoods poster produced by officers from the Green Street Ward in Newham.

“The poster was intended to tackle the issue of illegal street gamblers in the Green Street area and had been printed as a result of concerns raised by local residents and business owners.

“Only five posters were produced over three months ago and have since been removed.

Officers of Green Street ward will continue to liaise with the local community to tackle concerns they may have about anti-social behaviour and apologise for any inconvenience caused by the posters.”

More proof that Drugs Rot the Brain

Snoop Dogg Blasts Obama

AP Photo/Jason DeCrow

Hip-hop star Snoop Dogg has launched a scathing attack on U.S. presidential hopeful Barack Obama, accusing him of gleaning support from the Ku Klux Klan.

The rapper, real name Calvin Broadus Jr., insists the Democratic candidate has received funding from the KKK.

He tells the Guardian, “The KKK gave Obama money. They was (sic) one of his biggest supporters ... Why wouldn’t they be? The media won’t tell you that. They don’t want you to know that. They just want you to know that this [bleep] befriended this other [bleep] who be (sic) threatening your values.

“But we all know all presidents lie to get into [bleep] office. That’s they (sic) job.”

But Snoop insists Obama will still emerge victorious in the upcoming presidential elections. He adds, “In America’s eyes, that mutha[bleep]’s gonna be president ‘cos (John) McCain can’t [bleep] with him. Hillary (Clinton) can’t [bleep] with him. He’s winning over white people, white ladies.”

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/sfgate/detail?blogid=7&entry_id=25434

Up next Willie Nelson saying that Hillary is being supported by the Black Panther Party....

There may be many things that are marks on Obama.. but the claim that he is being supported by the KKK seems a bit out there and possibly only a position somebody totally wasted on drugs could come up with....

Terror suspects planned family sacrifice:  an update to earlier story.

Gang’s possible other targets identified in court

A gang of Muslim fanatics discussed “sacrificing” their wives and babies by taking them on an alleged suicide bombing mission to blow up transatlantic jets, a court has heard.

Alleged bomb plotters justify slaughter in videos
Empty flat was ‘turned into bomb factory’
In pictures: Airline bomb plot

The alleged “martyrdom” plot, which was just “a couple of weeks” from fruition, also included plans to attack nuclear power stations, oil refineries and the skyscrapers of London’s Canary Wharf, it is alleged.

All eight deny conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to commit an act of violence likely to endanger an aircraft, between January 1 and August 11, 2006.

Before their arrests in August 2006, the alleged conspirators were covertly recorded discussing their plans, the prosecutor, Peter Wright QC, told Woolwich Crown Court.

When one of the men, Abdulla Ali, was asked “how long ‘til the event?” he replied: “A couple of weeks.”

Right, the sons-a-bitches deny but they took the time to make suicide video statements.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
