A Million Is Just A Start

One Million Rally In Paris

Foolishly, they let Abbas in too

image

Around a million people including more than 40 world leaders streamed into the heart of Paris on Sunday for a rally of national unity to honor the 17 victims of three days of terror.

The aftermath of the attacks remained raw, with video emerging of one of the gunmen killed during police raids pledging allegiance to the Islamic State group and detailing how the attacks were going to unfold. Also, a new shooting was linked to that gunman, Amedy Coulibaly, who was killed Friday along with the brothers behind a massacre at satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo in nearly simultaneous raids by security forces.

“Today, Paris is the capital of the world,” said French President Francois Hollande. “Our entire country will rise up toward something better.”

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas were among the leaders attending, as were top representatives of Russia and Ukraine. German Chancellor Angela Merkel and British Prime Minister David Cameron were alongside Hollande at the front of the crowd, estimated to be around one million people, Sky News reports.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is in Paris this week to attend a meeting on fighting terrorism, but did not participate in the march.

Neither Obama nor Kerry attended either. As usual,  the 12th Imam  our pResident has nothing to say and doesn’t show up when anything critical about islam is said. That MFCSPOS is one of them, and you damn well know it.

The heads of England, Germany and Israel were there.

But President Barack Obama didn’t attend a unity march in Paris on Sunday, days after the deadly attack on the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo. Nor did his secretary of state, John Kerry, who has deep ties to France.

Holder: Not yet sure which group is behind Paris attack

Kerry was in India, attending an entrepreneurship summit with new Prime Minister Narendra Modi—with whom the United States is hoping to develop much closer trade ties.

Instead, the United States was represented by U.S. Ambassador to France Jane Hartley.

Attorney General Eric Holder was also in Paris, attending a security summit on combating terrorism. He recorded interviews that appeared on several U.S. news outlets Sunday, but was not spotted at the unity march.

“Attorney General Holder—a Cabinet level official—is representing the United States at the security meetings in Paris today. He is joined by the DHS Deputy Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas. The United States is represented at the march by Ambassador Hartley,” a senior Obama administration official said.

Oh what pure BS. If Holder was even in the country, he should have put in some face time. And Kerry, closer ties to India? Give it up! They already have 1/3 of all our jobs, how the hell much closer could they be? Today is too big for a mere Ambassador.

Southeast of Paris, in Saint-Etienne, around 60,000 people joined a march from the city’s rail station to its town hall.

Rallies were also planned in London, Madrid and New York—all attacked by Al Qaeda-linked extremists—as well as Cairo, Sydney, Stockholm, Tokyo and elsewhere.

“We are all Charlie, we are all police, we are all Jews of France,” Prime Minister Manuel Valls said Saturday, referring to the victims of the attacks that included employees at Charlie Hebdo, shoppers at a kosher grocery and three police officers.

Valls also declared Saturday that France was at war with radical Islam, according to the New York Times.

“It is a war against terrorism, against jihadism, against radical Islam, against everything that is aimed at breaking fraternity, freedom, solidarity,” he said at a speech in Évry, south of Paris.

Good. It’s a start. And I hope that there are 500 other rallies all over the country. And that the groundswell is taken up in Germany, and Poland, and Norway, and the UK, and on and on and on. It is too much to dream that every marcher picks up a large rock or a solid branch. No, not in today’s rallies. But the news is also screaming how all the jihad sleeper cells across Europe have been activated ... we could be on the cusp of something like a multi-national civil war. In which case we will see about real People Power. Finally.

he’s almost there

Retired Lt Col Outlines Actually Fighting Islam Next Time:
“US must leave smoking ruins and crying women”

Gosh, he’s almost right.

Retired Lt. Col. and Fox News Strategic Analyst Ralph Peters said that the US must avoid nation building and overlitigating the war on terror and instead “leave behind smoking ruins and crying widows” on Friday’s “O’Reilly Factor” on the Fox News Channel.

Peters said the plan for fighting war is “one, you accept that you are in a war. Two, you name the enemy: Islamist terrorists. Three, you get the lawyers off the battlefield and out of the targeting cell. You accept there will be collateral damage, and do you not apologize for it, you do not nation build. You don’t hold — try to hold ground. You go wherever in the world the terrorists are and you kill them. You do your best to exterminate them, and then you leave, and you leave behind smoking ruins and crying widows. If in five or ten years they reconstitute and you have got to go back, you go back and you do the same thing and you never never never send American troops into a war you don’t mean to win.” And “be as merciless as the enemy, if you’re not willing to do that, they will win.”

When asked about how to deal with state sponsors of terrorism, he argued “we have 2,000 years of recorded history of religious insurgencies, the only thing that has worked in 2,000 years is killing them. Now, as far as countries that don’t want to play ball, very simple. Pakistan doesn’t want to crack down on the Haqqani Network, we tell them ‘we are going to go in and take them out, and if you get in our way, we are going to smack your military down’…in a war you fight to win, you don’t worry about political correctness. The jihadis will do anything to win, and we’re worried about our table manners.”

Also you take their assets, and if you can’t take them, render them useless. Oil field? Capture it. Pump it dry if possible. Take the oil. Fresh water? Capture it. Pump it dry if possible, then blow up the damn. Any kind of factory? Wait, they don’t have any, never mind. Date processing center? Capture it, steal the dates, burn it down.

Also, don’t forget reprisals. 1,000 to 1 for every terrorist found alive and free in your village. The first couple times we’ll be nice, and merely kill 1,000 cattle and goats. If you have that many. Then we start with the breeding age women. There are no civilians here anyway, so WTF.

Je Suis Charlie

France Rallies

Tens of Thousands Take To The Streets In Protest All Over France

Great, but will the great-grandchildren of Le Poilu fight, or just pout and then surrender?

image

As darkness fell across Europe, tens of thousands took to the streets to show their solidarity with those killed by gunmen at the offices of satirical French weekly Charlie Hebdo.

Many of the protesters, meeting in Paris, Madrid and Berlin, have adopted the slogan ‘Je Suis Charlie’ - I am Charlie - holding up banners and placards printed with the words. Others were seen carrying enlarged versions of the some of the newspaper’s anti-Islamist cartoons.

In London, hundreds of people filled Trafalgar Square at a silent vigil for those killed when masked gunmen stormed the newspaper’s headquarters. Many held pens, pencils and notebooks in the air to show their support for the journalists, cartoonists and police officers who lost their lives.

The gatherings were held as French President Francoise Hollande declared tomorrow a day of national mourning tomorrow in respect for the victims of this morning’s attack.

At the Place de la Republique, in central Paris, less than half a mile from the Charlie Hebdo offices, protesters stood shoulder to shoulder, proudly holding ‘Je Suis Charlie’ signs above their heads. Similar peaceful protests were held in the French cities of Rennes, Nice and Lyon.

In central London, the mood was sombre as a large crowd gathered in front of The National Gallery, to express a mute horror at the events in the French capital. Dozens of French people were among them, along with those of other nationalities who came to show they would not bow to terrorism.

And in a show of support for the European neighbours, Germans gathered outside the French embassies in Berlin and Madrid tonight - signs illuminated by candlelight.

The crowds were gathered in support of 12 people - including four of France’s most revered cartoonists - who were executed by masked attackers, brandishing Kalashnikovs, who burst into the Charlie Hebdo headquarters, opening fire on staff after seeking out journalists by name.

Witnesses said the suspected Al Qaeda gunmen were heard to shout ‘the Prophet has been avenged’ and ‘Allahu akbar!’ – Arabic for ‘God is great’ – as they stalked the building.

Tonight they will cry. And tomorrow?

French Police Have Identified The Three People Involved

French police have reportedly identified the people involved in the shooting at the headquarters of the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo on Wednesday.

[ Breaking - Their names are Said Kouachi, Cherif Kouachi and Hamyd Mourad. See more here. Oh, and FUCK YOU Wolf Blitzer ]

The shooting left 12 people dead including several members of the magazine’s staff. Two gunmen and their driver remain at large.

According to Metro, by Wednesday evening local time French law enforcement was aware of the names and birthdates of the alleged perpetrators. Metro reported one of the suspects is 34 years old, another is 32 years old, and the third is 18 years old.

The two older men are reportedly brothers, French citizens, and residents of Paris. Metro reported the younger man is a student whose nationality is unknown and has no fixed address.

Le Point reported French police were focusing on two suspects whom the magazine described as “French-Algerian." According to Le Point the two men, who were 32 and 34-years old, returned to France from Syria last summer.

According to Le Point, in 2008, one of these men was tied to an Iraqi network in Paris that allegedly encouraged young men to join militants in Iraq. The magazine reported he was also arrested in 2005 as he attempted to travel to Damascus. In addition to the two men, Le Point said police were looking for a suspect who was born in 1996 and has no fixed address.

image

At least 20,000 people also gathered in the French cities of Lyon and Toulouse, police said, after 12 people were killed by heavily armed gunmen screaming “Allahu akbar” (God is greatest).

Demonstrators wore black stickers marked “Je suis Charlie” (I am Charlie),a slogan aimed at showing solidarity with the victims of the deadliest attack in France in decades.

Others waved banners with slogans such as “Press freedom has no price” and “Charb mort libre” (Charb died free), a reference to the newspaper’s slain editor-in-chief Stephane Charbonnier.

Charbonnier was one of four cartoonists killed in the attack that also left 11 people injured.

“It’s terrible that these people were murdered. In future, no-one will be able to speak his mind. We have to demonstrate in our thousands,” said Beatrice Cano, a demonstrator in her fifties, who was carrying the latest issue of Charlie Hebdo.

“These people are not religious, they are monsters”

A student named Marie, who is at the protest at Place de la Republique tonight told The Local why she decided she had to attend the spontaneous rally in support of the victims of the Charlie Hebdo shooting.

“We have to show people we are not afraid. We have to defend freedom of speech. We should be able to say what we want.

“We must not attack Muslims because of this. The people behind this attack are not religious. They are monsters.”

Well, sounds like I have my answer. It’s going to be a long, long road.

Alice Blanc, 19, a law and development student studying in London but originally from Paris, held up a quote often attributed to Voltaire, saying: ‘I do no agree with what you have to say, but I will defend to death your right to say it.’

She said: ‘I don’t think a country like France today should have a problem with freedom of speech.

‘No matter what a journalist or magazine has to say, even if it is not what the majority of people think, they still have the right to say it without feeling in danger, which is the case today.’

Esther Benjoar, 25, a Parisian who has lived in London for the last two years, said: ‘It is people like you and I who went to work today who got killed for their passion, their job.

‘It is the right that the French republic gave them to say what they want to say, and they got killed because of that. They didn’t do anything wrong and I think it is time for France to fight against terrorism.’

After more than half an hour of quiet vigil, a woman’s French voice pierced the silence. She shouted: ‘Freedom of the press! Freedom of speech!’

But there is always a ray of hope.

A Moderate Muslim Speaks

A Crusade By Any Other Name

no no no, call it a “War On Theocrats”

but don’t mention that islamist theocracy is the only theocracy that needs fighting against

better than silence, I guess

Daniel Pipes: An Arab prince denounces Islamism

[ Sort of. Mostly. ]

In a remarkable but thus-far unnoticed address on Dec. 5, Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the crown prince of Bahrain (an island kingdom in the Persian Gulf and home to the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet), candidly analyzed the Islamist enemy and suggested important ways to fight it.

Prince Salman, 45 and widely acknowledged to be the Bahraini royal family’s principal reformer, opens his remarks by addressing the inaccuracy of the phrase, “War on Terror.” The time has come, he says “for us to get rid of” a term that dates back to 9/11. “It is a bit misleading, it is not the entirety and the totality of our conflict” but merely a “tool” and a tactic.

He goes on in flawless English [ Pipes, you RAYCIS bastard! ] to place the current conflict in historical context: “If I think back in the last century, we faced a very different foe. We faced communism and we faced it together. But when we faced communism we understood it as an ideology. Terrorism is not an ideology.”

He notes that “we are not only fighting terrorists, we are fighting theocrats.” As Salman uses this term, theocrats are men “placed at the top of a religious ideology who [have] the power by religious edict to strip someone … of their hereafter – and use [religious power] for political gains.” They are also tyrants, isolationists, and misogynists who will need to be fought “for a very long time.” He scorns them for being “very much like the seventeenth century” and having “no place in our modern twenty-first” century.

He urges us “to discard the term ‘War on Terror’ and focus instead on the real threat, which is the rise of these evil theocracies”; to this end, he proposes to replace “War on Terror” with his formulation: a “War on Theocrats.” This concept, he hopes, will make it possible to “start to put together the military, social, and political – and maybe even economic – policies in a holistic manner to counter this, as we did with communism.” In perhaps the outstanding line of the speech, he states that “it is the ideology itself that must be combatted. It must be named, it must be shamed, it must be contained, and eventually it must be defeated.”

Read the rest to see how he dithers and avoids “saying the ‘I word’ “, and also the interesting news that the UAE (United Arab Emirates, a country over there) has just placed CAIR (the American group Council on American-Islamic Relations) on it’s list of terrorist organizations. Dig that. A group of Arabs is calling a spade a spade, and labeling an American PAC a terrorist group. Damn straight, Skippy!

Meanwhile, perhaps coincidentally, the khanjars are out, as the OPEC states continue their backstabbing game of “Et tu, Achmed”:

Oil prices plummet worldwide as OPEC infighting intensifies
Open sniping between leading members of OPEC put new downward pressure on oil prices, with the price of benchmark U.S. crude falling another 5 percent, or $3.07, to $60.75 a barrel in trading Wednesday. Oil prices, which topped $107 this summer, have now fallen more than 40 percent since June.
...
In a clear dig at global leader Saudi Arabia, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani Wednesday angrily denounced what he called a “conspiracy against the Muslim world” in the cartel’s failure to cut back production even as prices have plunged. With far lower production costs, Saudi Arabia and other Gulf producers can still turn a healthy profit even at today’s current depressed prices, while higher-priced producers such as Iran, Venezuela and Russia cannot.

Many in Iran, a Shiite-dominated regime, see the oil price fall as an extension of the battle for influence in the region with Saudi Arabia and its Sunni allies in the region.

“The fall in crude price is not merely an economic issue,” Mr. Rouhani told reporters in Tehran. “Iran and people of the region will not forget such conspiracies — or, in other words, treachery — against the interests of the Muslim world.”

A top Iranian oil official on Tuesday warned an industry conference in Dubai that unless leading producers can find common ground, the world could be looking at prices as low as $40 a barrel in the coming months.

Works for me. Both parts. It IS a crusade, and the price of oil can’t drop fast enough or far enough in my opinion. Winter is upon us, and people need fuel oil at a good price. Plus, cheap gasoline and diesel will get the economy rolling again. Literally. Gas is now $2.49 or less around here, at just about every gas station in 3 counties. Good. That makes it only $1/g more expensive than it should be. Get the price down to $20/bbl so that only the Saudis are pumping, then suck them dry.

Interesting tactic!

More than 80 wounded U.S. combat veterans and their families have filed suit against several of the world’s largest banks, which they accuse of facilitating financial transfers on behalf of Iran that directly led to the killing and wounding of U.S. troops in Iraq, according to court documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

U.S. Veterans Sue Big Banks for Facilitating Iranian Terrorism

If they can prove it, go for it!

Controlling A Different Kind Of Disease

Egypt To Build 0.5 Km X 10 Km Buffer Zone With Gaza Strip

image

hundreds of buildings in border town of Rafah to be destroyed

image

to be replaced by armed fence and 500m wide open ground

Following last week’s terror attack that killed 31 Egyptian soldiers in Sinai, Egyptian army starts clearing 500 meters wide buffer zone that extends 10-kilometer.

The Egyptian army on Wednesday began work to establish a buffer zone along the border with the Gaza Strip following last week’s terror attack that killed 31 Egyptian soldiers in Sinai.

Egyptian media outlets and military officials have accused the terrorists, whose identity remains unknown, of being linked to radical elements inside the Gaza Strip. Some Egyptians have even suggested that the terrorists may have come to Sinai through smuggling tunnels along the border with the Gaza Strip.

The 10-kilometer long buffer zone is 500 meters wide, Egyptian security officials said. They said that the buffer zone is part of a massive crackdown ordered by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi in the aftermath of the Sinai terror attack.

The buffer zone will require the Egyptian authorities to evict 1,100 families from their homes.

Sources in Sinai said that dozens of families began leaving their homes already on Tuesday night after being warned by the Egyptian army. They added that among those evicted are Palestinian and Bedouin families.

Also Wednesday, the Egyptian army demolished a number of houses close to the border with the Gaza Strip.

An Egyptian security official said that the authorities have offered to compensate the families who lost their homes with 1,200 Egyptian Pounds ($160) per meter. He said that altogether, some 680 houses will be demolished in pave the way for the creation of the security zone.

“One does not know how far this could reach,” said a farmer in Egypt’s Rafah region.

Abu Taleb who owns agriculture land planted with citrus and apple trees says he fears that the intention of the Egyptian military to establish a buffer zone will swallow his land.

Egyptian forces are slated to clear the area of vegetation and structures in the coming days, in addition to removing hundreds of Bedouin homes in the area.

“This is the worst period in my 48 years in Sinai. Of course we are against all terrorist attacks that hit our army,” Abu Taleb said, indicating that the current security measures taken by the Egyptian military means further suffering for the population of the Sinai Peninsula.

The Egyptian military have issued an emergency declaration across the northern Sinai Peninsula, which effectively seizes control over the region and restricts the movement of traffic and commercial activities.

The Sinai is that triangle of land between the two forks of water at the north end of the Red Sea, east of Cairo and the Nile Delta. The left, western, fork is the Gulf of Suez, where the Suez Canal is. Sinai is part of Egypt. Rafah is a small farming community in Sinai, Egypt, along the border with the Gaza Strip, north of the eastern fork, the Gulf of Aqaba. Most of the land up against the border is orchards and fields. The 10 kilometer length of this buffer zone means it will run the entire width of the Gaza Strip along the Egyptian Sinai border. South of that on the east side of the border the land belongs to Israel, what we call the Negev Desert. The whole area has been a hotbed of lawlessness and terrorists and smugglers for quite some time.

The Egyptian Army on Friday killed a leader of the country’s most active militant group, the Sinai-based Ansar Bait al-Maqdis (ABM), according to a report on al-Arabiya, which cited a military spokesman on Facebook.

The action follows the killing of 16 members of the group last Tuesday, the same day that ABM executed four Egyptian Bedouins. Egypt said last week it had killed a field commander of ABM, Mohammad Abu Shatiya, in clashes south of Rafah, a city in north Sinai near the border with Gaza.

Shehata Farhan, the leader killed on Friday, was implicated in operations targeting police and security forces and was killed during a raid in Rafah, the army spokesman said.

ABM claimed that one of the four Bedouins executed was killed for “collaborating with the Egyptian army”, and the other three were slaughtered for “collaborating with Israeli Mossad”. The first was executed by a gun, the other three were beheaded. Collaboration is viewed locally as spying.

...

Since 2011, ABM, or “Supporters of the Holy House”, have become very active in the Sinai Desert and have a strong relationship with Islamic State groups in Iraq and Syria. Often, both sides praise each other and vow to continue fighting against any Arab army declared by these groups as an “apostasy army”.

An Egyptian security official speaking to Middle East Eye on condition of anonymity given the sensitivity of the topic, stated that the group is active in Sinai and has been involved in several attacks, including a failed attempt to assassinate a former minister of interior last year.

The group stands behind 13 bombings of gas pipelines connecting Egypt and Israel, and has made it clear that those supplying Israel with natural gas are “infidels” and “treasonous” and has suggested that Egyptian gas will expire in five years.

In one of ABM’s videos, al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri is shown praising those who bombed the gas pipelines, stating “they are those who don’t accept injustice”.

A senior Egyptian security official in Sinai said that membership of ABM is estimated at no more than 200 members in north Sinai, with 95 percent of them from Bedouin clans who are affected by the Wahhabi way of thinking, while about 5 percent come from outside Egypt. In Egypt, the group is declared to be a “terrorist” group.

Oh yeah. Happy Town, for sure. But ya gotta love how the news reporter gets his news from the source - straight off of Facebook.

Ausie Awesome

On the one week anniversary of the dumping of the federal Parliament’s burqa-ban, three men in costumes have attempted to enter Parliament dressed in various controversial garb. The costumes include a KKK hood, niqab and a helmet. The three men from the group ‘Faceless’ said they wanted to see the burqa and all facial coverings banned.

After all, Australia in theory has that “all are equal in the eyes of the law” thing, and no it’s legal for muslim women to wear burkha into Parliament. So it’s fine for all others to wear whatever kind of mask they want, right? Riight???

Love it. Read the rest at Bare Naked Islam.

Game Changer?

Oh noes!!! ISIS has MANPAD portable anti-aircraft missiles!!

Don’t worry, these aren’t any of the 20,000 old Soviet missiles stolen from Uncle Mohammar before he got butt raped to death.

Don’t worry, these aren’t any of the several hundred brand new missiles that Brock and Shrillary sent to the Libyan rebels that made a mysterious left turn in Qatar.

Worry, because somehow this bunch is Chinese made. But only worry a little bit.

The Islamic State seized half a billion dollars from Mosul’s central bank. Their daily revenues from seized oil fields are close to two million dollars. They captured American arms and weaponry “>and are using secured Chinese missile launchers.

They might be a game changer if we were playing the game. But we aren’t really. Sure, we’ve made hundreds of strikes against ISIS already. Riiight. A little bomb here, a half defused Hellfire there. While they use every weapon under the sun, including barrel bombs and poison gas.

With the dickless DC ditherer in charge, it’s going to be too little, not often enough, until it’s too late. Because that’ what he wants. Another loss for the US, another win for his jihad buddies.

ISIS commits another crime afainst humanity

Guess those dysfunctional WMDs that didn’t exist weren’t so non-existant or dysfunctional after all. Guess maybe Bush didn’t lie either. Aww Hell, it probably was “Mission Accomplished”, at least the first mission, after Saddam’s fall from power. As a delusional moonbat liberal, up until now willfully blind, I just don’t know how to react from having my blindfold torn from my head and my face rubbed in my own bullshit. Oh, but it hurts! It burns!!

ISIS Using Chlorine Gas Against Iraqis

File this one under No-shit Sherlock.

The U.S. is investigating claims that Islamic State militants used chemical weapons against Iraqis last month, in what would be a serious escalation of the fighting in the region.

Iraqi officials have told media outlets that the terror group used chlorine gas bombs during clashes in September near Baghdad.

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest and a spokesman with the Pentagon could not confirm the reports but said they are taking them “seriously” and investigating the claims.

“We continue to take all allegations of chemical weapons use—and in particular these recent allegations regarding the use of chlorine as a chemical weapon—very seriously,” Pentagon spokesman Col. Steven Warren said in a statement. “The use of chlorine as a chemical weapon is an abhorrent act.”

Did you notice that Obola isn’t making any Red Lines in the sand not to be crossed? Guess he either doesn’t care what ISIS does, or supports their cause after all.

And it’s “claims”, not even “reports”. Because rows of gassed bodies are so hard to identify from their green skin and popped eyeballs and so forth.

The allegations come after chemical weapons use in Syria last year prompted a standoff between the Obama administration and the Assad government. Though President Obama had called the use of chemical weapons a “red line,” he ultimately backed down when Bashar Assad agreed to turn over his weapons stockpile. Asked Friday if the latest attack, if confirmed, would change the approach to the Islamic State fight, Earnest did not say.

“We’re going to investigate those reports,” Earnest said.

Three Iraqi officials—a senior security official, a local official from the town of Duluiya and an official from the town of Balad – had told The Associated Press that the Islamic State group used bombs with chlorine-filled cylinders during clashes in late September in the two towns.

Smells like pure CYA to me.

The senior security official said it was most likely that the Islamic State fighters obtained the chlorine from water purification plants in the areas they have overrun. Iraqi intelligence has indicated that the group has shells filled with chlorine that are ready to be used, the security official said.

“The IS fighters seized some quantities of chlorine after seizing control of some water purification plants or sites where chlorine was kept,” said the senior official, adding that the “IS group has some experts who were able to manufacture chlorine shells.”

Yeah, that’s it. In an era when almost nobody on earth has knowledge about chemical weapons, some rag-tag group of “Junior Varsity” upstart sand lice has experts on the subject who can MacGyver your swimming pool into poison gas artillery rounds. Riiiiight.

Gosh, what other BS can they sling at us on this one?

Chlorine gas, when inhaled, swallowed or exposed to through skin, causes difficulty in breathing, coughing, and eye and skin irritation. It is not as toxic or effective at killing as sarin, a nerve agent, and experts say it is difficult to achieve high concentrations of chlorine by dropping it from the air.

Let’s ask the tens of thousands of casualties from the First World War about that ... oh, wait, we can’t. They’re all dead. Since 1915.

On April 22, 1915, the Germans launched their first and only offensive of the year. Known as the Second Battle of Ypres, the offensive began with the usual artillery bombardment of the enemy’s line. When the shelling died down, the Allied defenders waited for the first wave of German attack troops but instead were thrown into panic when chlorine gas wafted across no-man’s land and down into their trenches. The Germans targeted four miles of the front with the wind-blown poison gas and decimated two divisions of French and Algerian colonial troops.

The use of poison gas is such a blatant violation of all the world’s rules of warfare that a wholesale execution of every last person in ISIS would be justified. Not even Hitler allowed his troops to use gas in combat.

A Wake Up Call For The West

Muslim convert Michael Zehaf-Bibeau who opened fire on Canadian Parliament

A Muslim convert shot dead a Canadian soldier at the National War Memorial in Ottawa today before exchanging dozens of shots with guards inside Parliament in a terrifying attack that left the nation’s capital on lockdown.

Michael Zehaf-Bibeau fatally shot Corporal Nathan Cirillo, a 24-year-old father, as he stood guard at the War Memorial on Wednesday morning.

Zehaf-Bibeau then ran inside the Parliament, where he opened fire before he was shot dead by the House of Commons Sergeant-at-Arms.

Zehaf-Bibeau, who had a criminal history for drug trafficking in Montreal and robbery in Vancouver, was born in Quebec as Michael Joseph Hall but recently converted to Islam, CBS reported.

Sources told the Globe and Mail that he had been designated ‘high-risk traveler’ and government had seized his passport.

His attack comes just two days after another Canadian soldier was killed in Quebec by a man with jihadist sympathies.

The attack on Parliament Hill’s Centre Block and the National War Memorial has left one Canadian soldier and one male suspect dead.

During an address to the nation, Prime Minster Stephen Harper said the incident in Ottawa was a ‘terrorist’ act. Mr. Harper also indicated that it remains unclear whether the man shot dead on Parliament Hill Wednesday acted alone.

Canada will not be intimidated by a pair of attacks that killed two soldiers this week, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said in an address to the nation. Rough Cut (no reporter narration)

“Together we will remain vigilant against those at home or abroad who wish to harm us.”

The Prime Minister concluded by stating that there will be no safe haven for terrorists and expressed confidence that Canadians will pull together in the wake of this week’s events.

Now watch everyone hit the Snooze Button and go back to sleep.

Except for the gun control advocates, who now have a new weapon to rail against*. You’ve seen the video, you’ve heard the shots ring out. Michael Zehaf-Bibeau’s picture above, said to be taken during the shooting, was somehow supplied to the media by ISIS’ #Islamic Media account

Just after Bibeau’s name was reported, an ISIS Twitter account posted the above picture claiming it was the Ottawa shooter. An hour later, the account was suspended.

Military Studies told Heavy.com that the same Twitter account was followed by Martin Couture-Rouleau. On October 20, Rouleau killed a Canadian soldier by hitting him with his car. Rouleau was a recent convert to Islam and told a 911 operator that he performed the act in the name of “Allah.”

CBS News quoted U.S. officials when reported Bibeau’s name. CNN and other outlets reported earlier that Canadian officials had shared the name with the FBI. According to the New York Times, the U.S. government has no record of Bibeau’s behavior.

Yet the picture does look a bit staged. He’s looking at the camera, not at what he’s shooting. And how would ISIS get hold of it, unless there was an accomplice?

Why is the world not marching to war against ISIS?

Isil carried out massacres and mass sexual enslavement of Yazidis, UN confirms

Thousands of men from the colourful but besieged Yazidi minority in Iraq were murdered in cold blood in scenes reminiscent of the Bosnian Srebrenica massacre when Islamic State jihadists swept through in August, according to new assessments by relatives and researchers.

Across the Kurdish region of northern Iraq, refugee camps, building sites and a sprinkling of Yazidi villages hold tens of thousands of Yazidi refugees who fled the advance of Isil in scenes of biblical exodus across Mount Sinjar in August.

But tens of thousands more were trapped behind the Isil lines.

Researchers adding together accounts of massacres in Yazidi villages as the jihadists attacked have counted a series of killings of more than 100 men each, with the total gunned down now thought to be up to 5,000.

An estimated 5-7,000 women are also being held in makeshift detention centres, where they are being taken away and either sold into servitude or handed to jihadists as concubines. The town of Tal Afar alone is thought to hold around 3,500 women and children in five detention centres.

At first, reports of the massacres and the mass sexual enslavement of women were so extreme and apparently incredible that they went little reported compared to the very visible plight of those who escaped to the mountain.

However, United Nations researchers have managed to verify many of the accounts beyond reasonable doubt: virtually every refugee family has male relatives who have been killed and women who have been kidnapped.

...

The UN researchers, from the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, have been collecting accounts of the Isil incursions. It says that 250-300 men were separated and killed in Mr Khalaf’s village, Hardan, including ten by beheading; another 400 gunned down in the village of Khocho; another 200 civilians were killed by Isil shelling them as they left the village of Adnaniya; as another group of refugees reached the village of Qiniyeh, the men were separated from the women and children, and 70-90 of them lined up by a ditch and shot.

On another road, out of al-Shimal village, near to Sinjar town, witnesses reported dozens of bodies left behind, including those of four elderly men with disabilities, who had been shot dead.

Hundreds more men had been killed for refusing to convert to Islam, the researchers said.

In some of the massacres, people were simply lined up at checkpoints, shot on the side of the road en masse and then bulldozed into mass graves, survivors told The Telegraph. Others were herded into Yazidi temples which were then blown up.

Matthew Barber, a scholar of Yazidi history at the University of Chicago who was in Kurdistan as the assaults happened, said it was thought 3-5,000 men had been killed.

He said he had also compiled a list of 4,800 names of women and children being held captive.

“In every place where Yazidi women or families are held, jihadists come and randomly select women that they take away,” he added. “A final total above 7,000 is perfectly feasible.”

‘I’ve been raped 30 times and it’s not even lunchtime’

A young Yazidi woman forced into sex slavery by the Islamic State begged the West to bomb the brothel where she was being held after militants raped her 30 times in just a few hours, it is claimed.

The unidentified woman is understood to have been kept as a prisoner of the jihadists somewhere in western Iraq having been captured by ISIS during the Sinjar massacre in early August.

A group raising awareness of ISIS’ persecution of women in the vast swathes of the Middle East under its control said the woman had contacted Kurdish peshmerga fighters by telephone to plead for the brothel to be bombed to put the women held as sex slaves out of their misery.

She allegedly told the fighters she had been raped so frequently that she could no longer use the toilet, adding that the ordeal has been so harrowing that she plans to commit suicide even if freed.

...

Describing the woman as crying on the phone, Karam quoted her as saying: ‘If you know where we are please bomb us… There is no life after this. I’m going to kill myself anyway - others have killed themselves this morning.’

‘I’ve been raped 30 times and it’s not even lunchtime. I can’t go to the toilet. Please bomb us,’ he claimed the woman added.

Straight out of the Koran. Kill your enemies, kill your prisoners, kill those who will not convert to your flavor of the “faith”, keep or sell prisoners as slaves, abuse women and treat them with vile and violent contempt. Religion of Peace, My Ass.

The entire world should put on the Blue Helmets and annihilate this plague. No quarter, no exceptions, no rules, no prisoners. Kill. Them. All.

nothing succeeds like success

As ISIS develops an air force, their pilots being trained by turncoat Iraqi airmen, suddenly Al Qaeda wants to make nice-nice.

Or, as they used to say in da neighbahood, an attack on one of us is an attack on all of us. It’s family.

Al-Qaeda issues call to support Isil

Al-Qaeda’s leading terror franchise has presented a new challenge to the American-led coalition in Syria and Iraq by calling on the group to back Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant despite the two groups’ fierce rivalry.

The call by Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula is doubly significant because its leader is believed to have been appointed as “general manager” or chief operating officer and deputy to Al-Qaeda’s overall head, Ayman al-Zawahiri.

In the past year, Zawahiri and the head of Isil, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, have clashed openly and the two groups have fought each other in Syria. But America’s decision to bomb not only Isil in Iraq and Syria but also a group of Al-Qaeda fighters accused of planning an attack on the United States has drawn the two rival jihadi organisations closer together.

“We urge all Muslims to back their brethren, with their souls, money and tongues, against the crusaders,” a statement released on Friday said. “We call on anyone who can wear down the Americans to strive to do so by military, economic or media means.” The American decision to bomb an outpost of Al-Qaeda’s official faction in the Syrian Civil War, Jabhat Al-Nusra, caused outrage in the rebel cause.

That’s us. The Crusaders. Because it’s still 1232 AD in their minds.

Personally, this comes as no surprise. The realization that they’re stronger together, and can work out their differences later once the caliphate is built, is pretty obvious.  Hamas, PLO, Boko Haram ... they’re all in the same boat too. I can’t wait until they all join hands and sign Kumbayah Akhbar.

And it ought to make our targeting decisions easier. Hell, it ought to make it hard to miss.

Lies!! It’s All Lies!!!

This, That, And Another

The above assertion is at least 4/6 correct. Look everyone up and see for yourself.

Another

Extremist Muslims are recruiting willing American blacks for violent jihad against their own fellow citizens.
...
Remember Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., Obama’s minister? Wright’s “God D–n America” and radical “social justice” message is actually a widely held point of view among black ministers. I have interviewed more than 500 black minsters on my radio show. Most of them promote racism and are helping to keep blacks angry.

Blacks are also encouraged to remain angry by so-called “leaders” in this administration.

When Attorney General Eric Holder announced he was resigning, my response was “Good riddance to bad rubbish.” Holder, along with Al Sharpton (the White House’s point man on race relations), has inflamed tensions in Ferguson and across America.

Last week during his address to the U.N., Holder’s boss, Obama, apologized to the world for America’s “own racial and ethnic tensions” and evoked the Michael Brown shooting and Ferguson.

When I moved to Los Angeles from Alabama at the age of 18, I listened to Louis Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson and other black preachers. They blamed white racism for every ill in the black community. Many blacks accepted this lie – further reinforcing their anger.
...
If the anger and racism in black America is not exposed and dealt with, we will see more beheadings and bloodshed like we’ve seen in Oklahoma.

For “This”, there is this too.

Obama Admits A Mistake

Yeah, that’s headline news all by itself. Mr. Perfect says “we were wrong”. Granted, he’s sharing the blame. But it’s a first step. And he doesn’t even blame Bush.

Obama: US Underestimated ISIS

Guess they weren’t so “JV” after all.

President Obama acknowledged Sunday that U.S. intelligence officials “underestimated" the threat posed by the Islamic State and overestimated the Iraqi army’s capacity to defeat the militant group.

The president said in an wide-ranging interview on CBS’ “60 Minutes” that the Islamic State militants went “underground” after being squashed in Iraq and regrouped under the cover of the Syrian civil war.

“During the chaos of the Syrian civil war, where essentially you have huge swaths of the country that are completely ungoverned, they were able to reconstitute themselves and take advantage of that chaos,” Obama said.

The president said his director of national intelligence, James Clapper, has acknowledged that the U.S. “underestimated what had been taking place in Syria.” He also said it was “absolutely true” that the U.S. overestimated the ability and will of the Iraqi army.

Oh, so it was the entire country that was wrong. That means Obama is only 1/310,000,000 at fault. Phew, for a minute there I thought he was going to say 4 Hail Marys and perform an act of contrition. Who am I kidding?

However, Obama also acknowledged that the U.S. is dealing with a conundrum in Syria, as the U.S.-led military campaign against the Islamic State is helping Syrian President Bashar Assad, whom the U.N. has accused of war crimes.

I recognize the contradiction in a contradictory land and a contradictory circumstance,” Obama said. “We are not going to stabilize Syria under the rule of Assad,” whose government has committed “terrible atrocities.”

However, Obama called the threat from the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL, and other terror groups a more “immediate concern that has to be dealt with.”

“On the other hand, in terms of immediate threats to the United States, ISIL, Khorasan Group—those folks could kill Americans,” he said.

Oh right, it’s a puzzle, surrounded by a mystery, and wrapped in an  enema  enigma. Or maybe a tortilla. Gosh, nobody can figure this out. Nobody!  And naturally, we have to hear “Khorasan” again, his own new favorite sub-terrorist splinter splinter cell. OMG, this guy sings about his Khorasan more than a Mexican crooner ("mi corazón").

And I shouldn’t mention it, but I’m pretty certain that the entire US military said that the Iraqi army wasn’t worth jack if left to themselves and allowed to go all tribal again. Which they did, the day after Obongogongo pulled all our troops out, while praising himself mightily. And when the untrained bunch, who coincidentally were the wrong flavor of jizzlam, ran like hell at the sound of gunfire ... well, that was Maliki’s fault, right?

So what’s his strategy to deal with this latest powerful and mysterious enemy?

Blow up grain silos!!

U.S-led raids hit grain silos in Syria

U.S.-led air strikes hit grain silos and other targets in Islamic State-controlled territory in northern and eastern Syria overnight, killing civilians and wounding militants, a group monitoring the war said on Monday.

The aircraft may have mistaken the mills and grain storage areas in the northern Syrian town of Manbij for an Islamic State base, said the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. There was no immediate comment from Washington.

That’ll leave a mark!
