Hold On To Jeff

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — The University of Texas on Friday abruptly canceled weekend plans to relocate a statue of Confederate President Jefferson Davis after a legal challenge from the same group that recently lost at the U.S. Supreme Court over rejected Confederate license plates.

The cancellation was announced a day after new University President Greg Fenves said he would uproot the century-old statue away from the center of campus, but leave statues of other Confederate figures untouched.

The Sons of Confederate Veterans, which says it seeks to celebrate Southern heritage, filed for a temporary restraining order Friday but has not yet received a decision from a judge. However, university spokesman Gary Susswein said the school agreed to wait until a court can review the challenge, all the while expressing confidence that the Davis statue will ultimately be relocated to a museum.

“We are confident we will move ahead with these plans,” Susswein said.

The statue had been targeted by vandals and had come under increasing criticism as a symbol of racism. State government and businesses around the U.S. have removed Confederate symbols following the mass shooting in June of black church members in Charleston, South Carolina.

In court filings, the Sons of Confederate Veterans argue that the South Carolina shooting set off “orchestrated national hysteria and pressure” to remove Confederate symbols. The group claims that leaders of the 50,000-student campus have no unilateral authority to relocate the statue.

In June, the Supreme Court rejected a free-speech challenge by the group after a state board denied it a Texas license plate bearing the Confederate flag. The court said in a 5-4 ruling that Texas can limit the content of licenses plates because they are state property and not the equivalent of bumper stickers.

“That and Charleston pretty much started this free-for-all against the Confederate flag,” said Kirk D. Lyons, a North Carolina-based attorney for the group. “It wouldn’t matter if I knew with 99 percent certainty that we’d be blown out of the water in court. It’s the right thing to do to stand up to this nonsense.

I’m getting pretty sick of this revisionist / denial / pander to the brainless / BRA / crap, and I’m a damnyankee.

A Timely Response

A nasty crime spree in my general area comes to a close.

Serial Killer Captured

Month long rampage across NJ and PA saw 10 shot, 7 killed

Oh wait, this never even made the news. Because almost everyone involved is black.

4 murders and 1 attempted murder in NJ (at the east end of Route 78)

A 22-year-old Elizabeth man has been charged with three homicides and one nonfatal shooting in Elizabeth on June 25 as well as the shooting death of his cousin the month before.
...
In Union County, West has been charged with the shooting deaths of Dennis Vega, 28, Jamil Payne, 29, Kelvin Nelson, 32, all of Elizabeth, who were killed on June 25 and the May 18 shooting death of West’s cousin, Michael Thompkins, 29, in the hallway of his Elizabeth home. West also is facing attempted murder and weapons charges in connection with the June 25 shooting of Richard Marte, 24, of Elizabeth. Park said Marte is recovering from his injuries but is expected to survive.

“We have never seen one individual commit this type of shootings spree, murder spree in such a short period of time in this county,” Park said Thursday during a news conference.
...
[Acting Union County Prosecutor Grace H. ] Park said Todd West was charged with murder and a number of weapons offenses after he was arrested this week in Pennsylvania in connection with two July 5 homicides in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he has family and one in Easton, Pennsylvania.

3 murders and 2 attempted murders just over the border in PA, plus a series of early morning muggings. (where Route 78 crosses into PA)

Twenty-nine minutes after buying ammunition for a .38-caliber revolver at a Walmart, three men in a white sport utility vehicle opened fire early Sunday in Easton’s West Ward, the start of a bloody rampage that left three dead, authorities said Tuesday in announcing arrests.

Kory Ketrow, 22, was gunned down at 3:14 a.m. in the 1100 block of Lehigh Street as he walked home. Minutes later, about a mile away, one of the men in the SUV fired at a couple driving near Route 22 in Easton’s downtown, authorities said.

That couple was spared when the shooter missed his mark, but authorities said the spree of indiscriminate shooting was not over.

The men in the SUV made their way to Allentown, where they opened fire on Francine E. Ramos, 32, and Trevor D. Gray, 21, two Allentown residents riding in a car near Sixth and Greenleaf streets, authorities said.

Ramos crashed into the SUV in an attempt to get away, authorities said, but she was found dead in her car at 3:59 a.m. Gray died a short time later.

At separate news conferences detailing the violent crime spree, authorities in Lehigh and Northampton counties said they did not know why the three men arrested — one from Easton and two from New Jersey —fired at people randomly early Sunday morning.

“Based on the evidence, all of these acts, all of them, appear to be completely random,” Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin said Tuesday afternoon.

Robert A. Jourdain, 20, of Easton; Todd West, 22, of Elizabeth, N.J.; and Kareem Mitchell, 23, of Newark, N.J., were arrested Monday and face three counts of homicide in the killings, and two counts of attempted homicide in the downtown Easton shooting.

Jourdain and West also were charged in three Allentown knifepoint muggings that happened the day after the killings, police said. They were arrested when Allentown patrolmen chased them down minutes after the third Monday morning mugging. Mitchell turned himself in later that day.

That makes 7 murders and 3 attempted murders, for a total of 10 shootings. All by the same guy, with the same gun, although sometimes he had some help with him.

So what’s the public outcry? Stop selling ammo late night at Wal-mart.

Friends and loved ones of Kory Ketrow say they’lll advocate for legislation that regulates the late-night sale of bullets.

Ketrow, 22, of Easton, was fatally shot at 3:15 a.m. on July 5 as he walked home in the city’s West Ward.
Todd West (Courtesy photo)Jim Deegan | For lehighvalleylive.com

He was a random victim who authorities say didn’t know his assailant, identified by police as Todd West, 22, of Elizabeth, N.J.

West killed Ketrow and two other people in Allentown with ammunition purchased at 2:45 that morning at the Wal-Mart in Lower Nazareth Township, police said.

“I think Wal-Mart should be held accountable,” said Rich Bader, whose family took in Ketrow the past few years. “I don’t understand what a young man 20 years of age is doing coming in to buy ammo at that hour and he gets it. It shouldn’t happen.”

Police say 20-year-old Robert Jourdain, of Easton, who is among three men charged in the three killings with West, bought the .38-caliber bullets used in shootings.

A spokesman for Wal-Mart couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.

Bader said he’s only just begun to rally support for a change in the law that would outlaw bullet sales at certain times. It would be called “Kory’s Law” and forbid ammunition sales between 10 at night and 5 in the morning, he said.

“I feel Kory didn’t die in vain. He died for a reason,” said Bader, who has a 21-year-old son of his own. “I believe the reason is we’ll be able to change some gun laws.

I feel bad for these people, I do. It’s horrible that these lives were snuffed out for no reason at all by some psychotic bastard. But if had had to wait another few hours to get more bullets, then the shootings would have just happened the next night. Most likely to some other people. And he’d still have more than half a box of ammo left, and who knows, he could still be out there on the lamb.  I’m not really sure that outlawing late night sales would do a thing, other than perhaps annoy some hunters somewhere down the line in the fall.

Birth Of A Nation

We Are Become The BSA

Obama’s Race Database Will Ensure Equal Outcomes, No Matter What

A key part of President Obama’s legacy will be the fed’s unprecedented collection of sensitive data on Americans by race. The government is prying into our most personal information at the most local levels, all for the purpose of “racial and economic justice.”

Unbeknown to most Americans, Obama’s racial bean counters are furiously mining data on their health, home loans, credit cards, places of work, neighborhoods, even how their kids are disciplined in school — all to document “inequalities” between minorities and whites.

This Orwellian-style stockpile of statistics includes a vast and permanent network of discrimination databases, which Obama already is using to make “disparate impact” cases against: banks that don’t make enough prime loans to minorities; schools that suspend too many blacks; cities that don’t offer enough Section 8 and other low-income housing for minorities; and employers who turn down African-Americans for jobs due to criminal backgrounds.

Big Brother Barack wants the databases operational before he leaves office, and much of the data in them will be posted online.

So civil-rights attorneys and urban activist groups will be able to exploit them to show patterns of “racial disparities” and “segregation,” even if no other evidence of discrimination exists.

Federally funded cities deemed overly segregated will be pressured to change their zoning laws to allow construction of more subsidized housing in affluent areas in the suburbs, and relocate inner-city minorities to those predominantly white areas. HUD’s maps, which use dots to show the racial distribution or density in residential areas, will be used to select affordable-housing sites.

HUD plans to drill down to an even more granular level, detailing the proximity of black residents to transportation sites, good schools, parks and even supermarkets. If the agency’s social engineers rule the distance between blacks and these suburban “amenities” is too far, municipalities must find ways to close the gap or forfeit federal grant money and face possible lawsuits for housing discrimination.

Civil-rights groups will have access to the agency’s sophisticated mapping software, and will participate in city plans to re-engineer neighborhoods under new community outreach requirements.

“By opening this data to everybody, everyone in a community can weigh in,” Obama said. “If you want affordable housing nearby, now you’ll have the data you need to make your case.”

And this is just the beginning, the tip of the iceberg. Other “equality” databases are out there monitoring the mortgage companies, the credit card folks, your school system, and hiring at banks and brokerages. Read as much as you can stand, here.

So sad that so few people understand the difference between Equal Opportunity and Equal Outcome. Because it’s so narrow and minor a difference: the first is freedom, the second is tyranny.

Hysterical Revisionism: “Sandblast them!”

Totalitarian Playbook, Page 7

Surely you saw this one coming back in 2008 didn’t you? I know I certainly did. I actually expect NASA to be taken apart too, as if it never existed.

Remember back when the Taliban was taking over Afghanistan? And they were blowing up all those 5th Century Buddha shrines and caves and stuff?

And now, how ISIS is destroying all the antiquities and ancient cities of Babylon in Syria and Iraq?

Yeah. Sounds mighty similar. Same playbook, same page. Different field. Mostly different totalitarians. Mostly.

First They Got The Flag

image COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Confederate flag on South Carolina’s statehouse grounds came down during a Friday morning ceremony, ending its 54-year presence at the Capitol.

Members from a South Carolina Highway Patrol honor guard approached the Confederate memorial, and as one turned a lever to lower the flag, the assembled large crowd burst into sustained applause and chanted “U.S.A.!” The flag will be placed in a museum.

Friday’s ceremony in Columbia bookended the highly emotional debate in South Carolina over the flag’s place on the statehouse grounds, a conversation that began anew after last month’s mass shooting of nine worshipers at a historic black church in Charleston. The nation reeled with shock and pain, and the state and U.S. flags atop South Carolina’s Capitol dome were lowered. But the Confederate battle emblem on the statehouse grounds flew high; only the legislature had the power to lower or bring it down.

Photos then emerged of the alleged Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church shooter, an avowed white supremacist, posing with the Confederate symbol. The flag’s place in the state gained instant national scrutiny, with those calling for its removal saying it symbolizes racial hate and violence. In a high-profile gesture, an activist climbed atop the flagpole and removed the flag; she was arrested and the flag was replaced.

Officials also said the flag should come down, including Gov. Nikki Haley (R), who asked the legislature to take up the issue. Lawmakers passed a bill this week to remove the flag.

“In South Carolina, we honor tradition, we honor history, we honor heritage, but there’s a place for that flag, and that flag needs to be in a museum, where we will continue to make sure people will honor it appropriately,” Haley said

Then They Got General Forrest

image The Memphis City Council Parks Committee on Tuesday approved an ordinance allowing the city to move the Nathan Bedford Forrest statue out of Health Sciences Park, and they also approved a resolution to move the remains of Forrest and his wife, which are buried at the park.

The ordinance and resolution came on the heels of a national movement to remove symbols of the Confederacy after a reported white supremacist, Dylann Roof, allegedly murdered nine church members at the historically black Emanuel AME Church in June.

The ordinance to transfer ownership of the statue and to remove and relocate it will be required to pass three readings of the full council before it would go into effect. The resolution to remove the Confederate general’s remains only requires one reading, and the council agreed this morning to move it to tonight’s full council agenda.

But even if that resolution passes, state law would require that the city bring a lawsuit in Shelby County Chancery Court to have the remains removed and relocated. State law requires a Chancery Court decision for the removal and reburial of remains, and any remaining relatives of the deceased must be made a party in the lawsuit.

As for the remains, Wade’s opinion highlights the fact that Forrest’s will, which was probated in Shelby County on December 17, 1877, mentions his request to be buried at Elmwood “among the Confederate dead.” Forrest and his wife were originally buried at Elmwood, but their remains were moved to Health Sciences Park (formerly Forrest Park) on November 11, 1904.

The statue was dedicated there on May 18, 1905 by the Forrest Monument Association. The association paid for the statue with private donations, including the donated salaries of the Memphis City Councilmembers who held office in 1903. On March 25, 1903, the association had petitioned the council to authorize a special tax levy for the statue. The council objected because of the need for funding for streets, sewers, and bridges, but the since the members supported the idea for the statue, they agreed to donate that day’s salaries to the cause.

At today’s council committee meeting, Lee Millar of the Sons of Confederate Veterans expressed disapproval of the proposed move of the statue and the remains.

“We are steadfastly opposed to moving the statue of one of our American heroes,” Millar said. “And it would be an abhorrent thing to dig up the graves in Forrest Park.”

And Now It’s Time For General Lee, General Jackson, and Jefferson Davis

imageNAACP wants Confederate carving removed from Georgia’s Stone Mountain The famous outdoor relief sculpture depicting Confederate leaders on Stone Mountain in Georgia has come under attack from the Atlanta chapter of the NAACP. The chapter’s leader is calling for the removal of the Confederate Memorial Carving that depicts Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson.

A press release from Richard Rose, the president of the Atlanta chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, calls for the elimination of the Confederate carving, calling it a “glorification of white supremacy.”

“It is time for Georgia and other Southern states to end the glorification of slavery and white supremacy paid for and maintained with the taxes of all its citizens,” the release states.

“History reminds us that despite the hero status accorded to Robert E. Lee, the West Point educated Lee was a traitor who led the military effort of the breakaway states, including Georgia.”

The release continues, “The insurrection’s sole purpose was to create a separate nation that would maintain the enslavement of generations of African descendants.”

Rose said in a phone interview with The Times on Tuesday that “symbols demonstrate people’s mindset. They mean something. There are monuments all over the South… that were erected to demonstrate and celebrate white supremacy.”

He said that the art work is also inappropriate because none of the Confederate leaders depicted hails from Georgia.

“The heritage we should be celebrating is the U.S. heritage. We’re not a separate nation,” Rose said. He added that he is working with local lawmakers to push this issue forward.

In an interview with local Atlanta WSB-TV, Rose said that the Confederate carvings “can be sandblasted off or someone can carefully remove a slab of that” to sell at auction to the highest bidder.

He also said, “Our tax dollars should not be used to commemorate slavery.”

Please pardon me; I can’t write about this. I am not a Southerner by birth or by disposition, but I am apoplectic at this insult. This is just wrong in every aspect.

You Tell It Bill

Bill O’Reilly brings it, and brings down the house. This is from more than a year ago, but nothing much has changed, so it still applies.

Steve K
sent me a link to a CNS page, and what was there was the second half of O’Reilly’s lecture, shown here. He gets around to CNS’ side of the argument at about the 3:08 mark.

Go Flog Yourself

MTV To Shame America With “White Guilt” Documentary

Designed To Leave Thousands In Tears

I don’t know where the fudge this latest “white privilege” garbage is coming from, nor what it’s supposed to be. But I can tell it’s another huge push to inflict pain and self hatred on the children of the people who descend from those who built and run this nation.  And I can tell a head high pile of horseshit from a haystack and know enough to go around it, even without being a farmer.

But I gather some people can’t. And I’m gathering that the latest offensive against America is this “white privilege” crap. And here comes a great big show all about it, to hurt your children.

Think it’s time to fight back yet?

Think it’s time for a little historical accuracy, or a little pride in genetic randomness like these other groups have? Why the Hell not?

Maybe we should all sit down with our families and watch this show on MTV. No, record this show. Then go over it point by point, word by word, and show our children how they are being manipulated, lied to, and abused. And after that awareness raising, we can plan a counter-offensive. We’ve sucked it up a lot, but sometimes when a line gets crossed there’s no going back. And I think we’re about to see that line.

New MTV Show Publicly Shames White People For “What They’ve Done in America”
White People documentary hosted by illegal immigrant features young Americans crying over their “white privilege”

MTV will air a show later this month entitled White People which shows young white Americans crying on camera over their “white privilege” and publicly shaming them for “what they’ve done in America”.

No, this is not a joke. The documentary is hosted by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jose Antonio Vargas, an illegal immigrant and amnesty activist who has worked for the Washington Post and the Huffington Post.

The trailer for the show, which has been widely criticized by YouTube respondents, features white people expressing angst about how they are desperate not to appear “racist” or “offend people.”

According to Kimberly Ricci, the documentary forces the participants “to internalize what they’ve done in America” – in other words, this a huge exercise in white guilt tripping for public consumption.

An MTV write up of the show also explains how Vargas talks to young Native Americans who feel that European settlers did not ‘save the country’.
...
This documentary represents the culmination of years of race-baiting and racial division which is being driven by the mass media and the Obama White House, tensions which have rapidly accelerated since the Ferguson and Baltimore riots.

what am i to say?

I haven’t mentioned the Rachel Dolezal story yet. The one where the white girl convinced herself and everyone else that she was black that she wound up running the Spokane chapter of the NAACP?  I’m not sure that there’s any point. Look how high a white woman can climb if she just puts in the effort.

Miss Dolezal also complained to the police of being the victim of hate crimes by white racists, who she said had even left a noose in her garage.

All this posturing appeared to do the trick, helping to establish Miss Dolezal as a leading light of the black rights movement in America’s Pacific Northwest. She is the president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in Spokane, Washington state’s second- biggest city. She also runs the city’s police oversight committee and is an African Studies professor at the local university, where she gives impassioned classes on The Black Woman’s Struggle.

My God, she was super black. A combination Maya Angelou, Angela Davis, Condoleeza Rice, and Honey Bee* all rolled into one. She didn’t just have a stellar CV, she had a stellar CV for 5 or 6 black women. And it seemed like she had 4, maybe 5 paying jobs at the same time. All of that, plus she was the victim of hate crimes. Girlfrien, takes you a seat on da bus. ‘Cept, maybe it’s all bullshizz ??

A bit lost in that shuffle is the little nagging fact that the NAACP was actually founded by white people. So I’d guess they’re still allowed to be members? Wat. Evar.

Miss Dolezal is bound to fuel the growing furore when she addresses the media tonight at a meeting of her NAACP group. Deeply embarrassed to have been hoodwinked so easily, the national organisation has nevertheless supported her, praising her record and insisting that one’s racial identity is irrelevant in leading the group.

However, most people don’t believe for a second that she would have risen so far in the civil rights industry if she had been recognised as a white middle-class woman from a conservative family.

Unlike in many areas of life in America, being black is an obvious advantage in the civil rights industry where — to quote one commentator — it is seen as more ‘authentic’.

What’s peculiar about Rachel Dolezal, however, is that she is still insisting, even after her public exposure, that she really is black.

Whether this is a case of serious delusion or a brazen attempt to bluff it out is hard to tell.

At this point in time she’s had to step down. Because she’s a crazy person I think. Still, she ran the local chapter for some time, plus did all that other stuff. Glass ceiling, my ass.

image

No, the bestest ever part of this whole silly situation are the totally godless far leftists who are such self centered narcissists that they think they can pick their own race. Why not? It’s only a small step further than picking your own gender. And gosh golly, isn’t that not just feasible these days, but the socially required step to take!!

If a blond man with Scandinavian roots visits Japan and feels a gripping sense of belonging, such that he is certain he is among his own people, why can’t that man return to America, dye his hair, have facial surgery and be accepted as an Asian-American?

Why does factual history have to dictate current reality if a human being feels very deeply that that factual history is not in tune with his or her inner sense of self?

And to think it’s this same group that loves to call themselves the Reality Based Community. What farce! What farts! What rectally bubbling nonsense! Because you know what they’re really doing?

Hello God? Hi, it’s Timmy here. About that whole race, gender, and alignment thing? You know, the white male who digs midwestern blonde girls thing? Yeah. You were wrong. Yes, God, you made a mistake. I’m actually a black woman attracted to Bolivian chicle farmers. And PS, you don’t exist.

How’s that for audacity? Seriously. They’re denying the obvious and demanding we accept their let’s pretend playtime world view as reality. Until they sense some advantage in being some other flavor. It’s like buying a vanilla cone, but getting every flavor Baskin Robins ever made, whenever you want.

ITEOTWAWKI.  Come on. When even Fox Snooze is running editorials like

Why Rachael Dolezal’s assertion that she is black could pave way for folks choosing a ‘racial identity’

Scuuuuze me, but you don’t get to choose. Period. Ever. At all.

Gosh, don’t like living in a world where there is such an obvious benefit to looking a certain way? Fix it. Try unlearning a few of those “truths” that put one group so far up on all the rest. And one group so far down, even though it appears that that group designed built and maintained the vast majority of every aspect of civilization and daily life.

But what if you can think differently? The system is too big to change, but you can change yourself. Constantly if need be. Welcome to the Elizabeth Warren Paradox. Now let’s all get out there and game the system, being whatever race, gender, alignment, or religion that’s to our immediate advantage. By the hour if necessary.  Ivy League college need more Polynesians? That’s me Dean, sign me up! Mahkhi-hani aloopoo; that means thank you in my personal Polynesian dialect. Now, where’s my EBT and my gommint cheeze? A poor brutha can’t get ahead, white folks keeping da niggas down, sending all da gibbs to dem damn poly-knees-ian mutha fuggahs.

It’s stunning. The far left is going to try to force everyone to accept their infantile fantasy as a dynamic reality. Get bent.

How far can this go?

Hey, I wonder if they dream they can fly? Or walk for miles under water? Or break falling buildings with a single punch? Hmm, there could be a cure out there.  And I’m wondering if the disease is bigger, more widespread than we think it is. Over the past 3 years, maybe 4, there has been an annual assault of disposable summer blockbuster films where the teenage/early twenties cast has all sorts of super powers, either as X-mutants, vampires, werewolves, or zombies, or by comic book like characters, their powers granted by magical flying armor clothing, shields or hammers, masks, or accidental science. They can jump back and forth in time, they can move or break things with their god-like strength ... the list goes on and on. We get a few of them every year, but I’m pretty sure there’s been more and more of them lately.

So I guess teh next step is to go to super creatures? Why should we be bound by simplistic humanity? Here, this card says I can shoot lasers out my ears and I can smash bridges and highways simply by kicking them with my shoes. So you’d better give me what I want, right now. And how dare you ask me to demonstrate these super powers! Are you questioning my patriotism?

No More Mistreatment

Baltimore Residents Living In Fear Of Murderous Baltimore Residents

Evil Racist Police Department, Tired Of Being Mobbed And Abused, On Extended Donut Break

Highly Restrictive Maryland Gun Control Laws Not Working At All

Baltimore Residents Fearful Amid Rash Of Homicides

BALTIMORE (AP) — Antoinette Perrine has barricaded her front door since her brother was killed three weeks ago on a basketball court near her home in the Harlem Park neighborhood of West Baltimore.

She already has iron bars outside her windows and added metal slabs on the inside to deflect the gunfire.

“I’m afraid to go outside,” said Perrine, 47. “It’s so bad, people are afraid to let their kids outside. People wake up with shots through their windows. Police used to sit on every corner, on the top of the block. These days? They’re nowhere.”

Perrine’s brother is one of 36 people killed in Baltimore so far this month, already the highest homicide count for May since 1999. But while homicides are spiking, arrests have plunged more than 50 percent compared to last year.

The drop in arrests followed the death of Freddie Gray from injuries he suffered in police custody. Gray’s death sparked protests against the police and some rioting, and led to the indictment of six officers.

Now West Baltimore residents worry they’ve been abandoned by the officers they once accused of harassing them. In recent weeks, some neighborhoods have become like the Wild West without a lawman around, residents said.

“Before it was over-policing. Now there’s no police,” said Donnail “Dreads” Lee, 34, who lives in the Gilmor Homes, the public housing complex where Gray, 25, was arrested.

“I haven’t seen the police since the riots,” Lee said. “People feel as though they can do things and get away with it. I see people walking with guns almost every single day, because they know the police aren’t pulling them up like they used to.”

Hey, there’s your true freedom. You’re on your own now. Good luck with that. Oh, and the rent checks and EBT funds stop next week. [sigh] If only. [/sigh]

Police Commissioner Anthony Batts said last week his officers “are not holding back” from policing tough neighborhoods, but they are encountering dangerous hostility in the Western District.

“Our officers tell me that when officers pull up, they have 30 to 50 people surrounding them at any time,” Batts said.

At a City Council meeting Wednesday, Batts said officers have expressed concern they could be arrested for making mistakes.

“What is happening, there is a lot of levels of confusion in the police organization. There are people who have pain, there are people who are hurt, there are people who are frustrated, there are people who are angry,” Batts said. “There are people, and they’ve said this to me, `If I get out of my car and make a stop for a reasonable suspicion that leads to probable cause but I make a mistake on it, will I be arrested?’ They pull up to a scene and another officer has done something that they don’t know, it may be illegal, will they be arrested for it? Those are things they are asking.”

Yup, that’s about the size of it. Mob rule, and the mob wants no authority around other than itself. Looks to me like their mayor has left the entire city as “room for destruction”. After all, “it’s only property”.

Protesters said Gray’s death is emblematic of a pattern of police violence and brutality against impoverished African-Americans in Baltimore. In October, Batts and Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake invited the U.S. Justice Department to participate in a collaborative review of the police department’s policies. The fallout from Gray’s death prompted the mayor to ask U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch for a full-fledged probe into whether the department employs discriminatory policing, excessive force and unconstitutional searches and arrests.

Oh shut the fuck up already you lying sack of dog shit. Your poor little iconic victim was beat down for being disruptive by the black officer driving the van all the hell over town and the other black officer who drove over to assist him. So while the police might be involved in it, this is really nothing more than one of the endless instances of black on black violence, and your own behavior and debased culture has shown that #niggers_don’t_care_when_niggers_kill_niggers.

So go on, have the black Attorney General and the black Mayor and the black Council investigate the black Police Chief and the 47% black police department that patrols the >67% black population in your city run by blacks for generations. And don’t go crying for Mo Money Mo Money, because you already got a bigger pot of gold from the black pResident’s Stimulus than every leprechaun in Ireland could hide under an infinite number of rainbows. And that’s in addition to all the other gibs from state and federal funding coming in from every damn plan under the sun here in BRA. There ain’t a damn thing stopping the whole zoo full of you animals from acting like moral, responsible, reasonable, intelligent, compassionate humans. Or better yet, actually becoming that way. The only thing holding you down is your own crab bucket “culture” that you insist on maintaining.

TSA “Lost” Badges: This Really Make Me Wonder

Thousands Of TSA Badges Missing For Months

TSA Tries To Block Investigation

Senator John Thune fired off a blistering letter to TSA officials demanding answers regarding missing, lost or stolen SIDA (Secured Identification Display Area) badges that can be used by employees to gain access to secure areas at airports.

“Clearly there are an awful lot of things falling through the cracks and there’s just no room for an error when it comes to this issue. We need answers. They’re not providing them.”

Thune, who chairs the Transportation Committee, said previous answers from the agency had actually raised more questions than answers.

The concern follows reports that more than 270 badges went missing at the San Diego International Airport in the last two years and more than 1,400 badges missing from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Many of the missing badges were not reported for weeks or months in hopes they would be turned it - meaning they were not quickly deactivated.

The information comes following an investigation by a local NBC affiliate in Dallas, TX. They also found reports of missing crew and pilot uniforms.
...
When Atlanta reported the information to the TSA they said they never should have given out the information in the first place, but we ask--doesn’t the public have a right to know?

Washington lawmakers are demanding an accounting of how many airport security badges have been lost or stolen around the country as an NBC News investigation reveals the problem may be bigger than originally thought.
...
Workers are supposed to report a missing badge within 24 hours, and the San Diego airport authority said it plans to do more to ensure that rule is followed.

Right. Two airports. One. Two. 1. 2. Two airports. 1670 missing badges. From only TWO airports. I have to wonder, how many TSA employees are there at Hartsfield-Jackson? 1400 perhaps??

How many dozen more, or hundreds more, airports are there in the nation where TSA holds sway? Let’s do a universal badge check right now, and see if the actual number missing isn’t in the tens of thousands.

And are ALL the TSA folks drawn from the same pool of Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity workers like the ones I see being the vast overwhelming majority at the NY and NJ airports? The same kind who might also be given to believing in Black Liberation Theology, chickens coming home to roost, jailhouse conversion to some X flavor of jizzlam, and a general God Damn America permanent sense of victimhood? Because I don’t forget how the criminal background checks for the hire-ees were ignored, not done, or went astray during the big TSA ramp up. Nor do I not remember the hundreds if not thousands of cases where TSA employees have been caught stealing passenger’s belongings, abusing the we-see-you-naked scanners, groping grandma, and otherwise flexing their general dickhead powers. Rather makes one wonder if the foxes have been hired to guard the henhouses. And now this? These people are issued firearms too, aren’t they? How many thousand of them are missing as well?

I have no desire to paint the five dozen qualified, honest, and hard working TSA employees with the old tarbrush, but it’s been NDO* for more than 6 years now, and as the mafia says, a fish rots from the head down. Unless you buy rotten fish to begin with, in which case it stinks from one end to the other, and has ever since Chimpy McBusHitlerburton’s Patriot Act got co-opted and co-rrupted by being forced to be a politically co-rrect jobs program.

Commencement Conflagration

Georgia Principal Fired For “Raycis” Commencement Remark

A Georgia principal was fired Thursday after making an offensive remark about black people during a graduation ceremony last week.

The board of TNT Academy in Lilburn confirmed that Nancy Gordeuk had been dismissed as principal of the school after her bizarre speech was caught on camera and widely shared on social media.
...
Gordeuk became upset when students began to walk out of the school building during the ceremony before the valedictorian got to give a speech. She began to yell at students and even called one man a coward.

“Look who’s leaving, all the black people,” Gordeuk said at one point.

OK, looking at the video of part of the ceremony, it looks like there was some heckler or somebody making a distracting scene, whom she called a “goober”. When that person appeared to be escorted away, Gordeuk said something like “y’all the rudest people”.  Now, I guess in small town Georgia, a “y’all” is the equivalent of a “you people”, and we know what a heinous and hurtful remark that is, especially since the principal was most likely speaking about the entire audience, a small but diverse group who were chatting away during the event and not really paying attention or keeping respectfully quiet. So the “y’all” remark was entirely true, but it got the extra-sensitive ones riled up and they walked out.

The principal by this point is incensed, having lost control of the situation and feeling totally disrespected. So she says into the mic during the first exodus, “Look who’s leaving, all the black people”.  And that was all it took to clear out the rest of them.

Gordeuk was principal of a private high school, some second-chance kind of place, called TNT Academy.  How much more perfect a name could you find?

Moron the story plus the infamous video rye cheer, y’all.

Another link.

Freedom of speech seems to only apply when it suits the P.C brigade.

This article appeared three months ago, and here I am finally bringing it to your attention.  I have been very much occupied lately.

First, I think it’s funny and second, I believe it to be true.

OK, so perhaps there is a racist element to it.  So what?
And who knows better than the police who are out there in the thick of it?

Hey, I have a question for you all.

Is it automatic that a comment noting the racial makeup of a place is meant in a hateful way?  Disapproving?  Sure. But that doesn’t have to mean a person should have to answer for it.  Is what he said really a “slur” if what he said genuinely appears to be that way?  It may be a slur but, since so many so unfortunately look like apes, why is it wrong to acknowledge it?  And anyway, he made the comment in conversation, under stress and literally surrounded by, ape like life forms.  So what?
So a “tribunal” had to be called over a comment reflecting an observation.

Boiled down to one paragraph;

‘In early August 2011 after the shooting of Mark Duggan, there were several witnesses to DS Price in Lambeth commenting “It’s like being in Planet of the Apes” in reference to the numbers of BAME [black and minority ethnic] people around him.

Is there anyone who in the same circumstance would not feel the same, if they were a white person?  And I would not believe any die hard libtard who would say they wouldn’t think that even if they were too afraid to say it aloud.

Policeman ‘said London was like Planet of the Apes’: Tribunal hears of ‘racist’ slur after riots

· Managers failed to investigate policeman who made comment, tribunal told
· Policeman used phrase in aftermath of the 2011 London riots, it is claimed
· Black officer Derrick Quarm said the detective’s alleged comment was ‘overtly racist’
· Claimed it referred to the black and ethnic minority population in Lambeth, South London
By Vanessa Allen for the Daily Mail

Senior officers failed to investigate a policeman who compared an inner-city borough to ‘Planet of the Apes’ in the aftermath of the 2011 London riots, it was claimed yesterday.

Black officer Derrick Quarm complained the comment by a detective was ‘overtly racist’ because it referred to the black and ethnic minority population in Lambeth, South London.

But he said senior managers attempted to ‘bury the incident’.

DC Quarm said he found it ‘incredible’ that managers failed to investigate the comment – allegedly made in the days of heightened racial tension after the police shooting of Mark Duggan, which sparked the London riots and looting – for almost three years.

The plain clothes officer claimed it was investigated only after he included it in a report about his experiences of alleged racism, corruption and cover-ups within policing in Lambeth.

The force was described as ‘institutionally racist’ by the inquiry into the murder of black teenager Stephen Lawrence and Mr Quarm said his experiences showed it had not done enough to combat racism among its own officers.

But his attempts to force Scotland Yard to address the problem resulted in him facing a campaign of ‘detriment and hostility’, he told an employment tribunal.

The former paratrooper said his senior officers falsely accused him of incompetence and lying in an attempt to discredit him as a whistleblower, and called their behaviour ‘classic school ground bullying’.

He was treated as a ‘troublemaker’, accused of losing evidence in a stabbing case and overloaded with paperwork to punish him for speaking out, he said.

Disturbingly, he told South London Employment Tribunal in Croydon that his senior officers’ behaviour had hindered his police work and even stopped him from preventing a murder.

DC Quarm, who has served in the Metropolitan Police for 18 years, said he had attempted to raise his concerns with the force’s commissioner, Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, and other top-ranking officers.

CONTINUES

Oh ... just in case anyone forgot those riots .....

image

And please lets not kid ourselves. Those riots and the looting and the burning and the assaults were not the result of that one fellow who it turns out was armed, and deleted by police.  That was the cover, the excuse, the justification for all that happened by the criminals among us, as well as anarchists who care nothing for the negro except as an excuse to cause mayhem.

Those Racist Baltimore Cops

Just so you know ...

image

picture and text from Weasel Zippers. Added text by me.

from CNN:

One officer—the driver of the police van—has been charged with several counts, including second-degree depraved-heart murder.
...

Sgt. Alicia D. White
1) Manslaughter (involuntary) (10 yrs.)
2) Assault/second degree (10 yrs.)
3) Misconduct in office (8th Amendment*)

Lt. Brian W. Rice
1) Manslaughter (involuntary) (10 yrs.)
2) Assault/second degree (10 yrs.)
3) Assault/second degree (10 yrs.)
4) Misconduct in office (8th Amendment*)
5) Misconduct in office (8th Amendment*)
6) False imprisonment (8th Amendment*)

Officer William G. Porter
1) Manslaughter (involuntary) (10 yrs.)
2) Assault/second degree (10 yrs.)
3) Misconduct in office (8th Amendment*)

Officer Edward M. Nero
1) Assault/second degree (10 yrs.)
2) Assault/second degree (10 yrs.)
3) Misconduct in office (8th Amendment*)
4) Misconduct in office (8th Amendment* )
5) False imprisonment (8th Amendment*)

Officer Garrett E. Miller
1) Assault/second degree (10 yrs.)
2) Assault/second degree (10 yrs,)
3) Misconduct in office (8th Amendment*)
4) Misconduct in office (8th Amendment* )
5) False imprisonment (8th Amendment* )

van driver, Officer Caesar R. Goodson Jr.
1) Second degree depraved heart murder (30 yrs.)
2) Manslaughter (involuntary) (10 yrs.)
3) Assault/second degree (10 yrs.)
4) Manslaughter by vehicle (gross negligence) (10 yrs.)
5) Manslaughter by vehicle (criminal negligence) (3 yrs.)
6) Misconduct in office (8th Amendment* )

In lieu of additional information I don’t have, I’ll give you my opinion.

I doubt that there were 6 cops in the van. I wonder if in truth there were only 3 officers in that van. And I wonder if knowing that half the police involved were black would have diffused the situation to any extent.

More info found ... Oh ho !!! ... a timeline from the NYT

8:39:12 a.m.  Initial Contact

Lt. Brian W. Rice and Officers Edward M. Nero and Garrett E. Miller were on bike patrol near the corner of North Avenue and Mount Street. Lieutenant Rice made eye contact with Mr. Gray, who ran away.

... and so forth - follow the link and think it out yourself - but it looks to me as if Goodson was the only cop in the van for most of it’s nearly circular journey. Porter wasn’t part of this until “Stop 3”, at which point it appears he either got in the van or followed it in his patrol car. I have no idea when Sgt. White became part of this, as she doesn’t enter the tale until “Stop 4”. She could have been one of the arresting officers at that scene, or she could have been in the van the entire time.

“Stop 1” was only a few yards from the initial pick up point, so the bicycle cops either chased down the van or called out to it as it was moving away. Did they see Grey moving around inside from outside? Regardless, they do not seem to be in the van from that point on, as Officers Nero and Miller are noted as “meeting” the van at Stop 4. Officer Porter was there too, and so was Sgt. White. Lt. Rice isn’t part of anything past the initial arrest, van loading, and the Stop 1 a few yards away.

All of which means this all boils down to ... not much in the way of stick for the charges against White, Rice, Nero, or Miller. Maybe a bit more against Porter. It’s all going to land on Goodson.
