what the duck?

Guess them there homo-sex-you-alls got it pretty good over here in America.

In Iran, they get beheaded or hanged.  In most Islamic nations, they get pretty violent punishment, come to think of it.

In plenty of other countries, even across wonderful Europe, they get fairly regular beatings in public.

In America, such microscopically small amounts of resistance exist to the Rainbow Rollercoaster - no executions, no common public beatings, no laws impugning their belief/alignment/behavior, more and more states recognizing their right to marry within their same apparent gender, not a business or university willing to turn one away in fear of the dread Gay Card being played on them, etc, - that they have to either paint their own collegiate habitats with slurs as publicity stunts, or get their manties in a twist when any public figure says the slightest thing that could (usually by inversion and implication) be stretched to be some sort of anti-homosexual “slur”. Not that any of them would hesitate a second to cut a bitch dead for wearing last year’s Prada, so passe!

So here we go again. Super redneck from the #1 cable TV money making show Duck Dynasty gives his opinion, and the militant “unusuals” have a hairy fit, resulting in the network crapping themselves and putting the guy out to pasture. Because, free speech. Not.

‘Duck Dynasty’s’ Phil Robertson on Indefinite Hiatus Following Anti-Gay Remarks

A&E has placed Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson on indefinite hiatus following anti-gay remarks he made in a recent profile in GQ.

“We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson’s comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty,” A&E said in a statement. “His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community. The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely.”

The news comes after Robertson compared homosexuality to bestiality in an interview with the magazine. He’ll likely appear in season four, which bows Jan. 15, since production is largely wrapped.

“It seems like, to me, a vagina—as a man—would be more desirable than a man’s anus,” Robertson says in the January issue of the men’s magazine. “That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”

During a discussion about repentance and God, Robertson is asked what he finds sinful.

“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there,” he says. “Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.”

So there you have it ... he finds homosexuality sinful. AND he finds beastiality sinful. AND he finds adultery sinful.
So come on, you genius elite liberals: tell me WHERE IS HE COMPARING HOMOSEXUALITY TO BEASTIALITY???  Comparing? No. Likening? No. Relating? No. Saying one is a “gateway drug” to the other? Not even.

But it doesn’t matter one whit. The truth? Who gives a flying glory hole about the truth? Here’s some well known redneck, speaking up for heterosexuality and labeling it his own personal opinion.

And now? Looks like this beard has been shaved. Phil Roberston has been sidelined indefinitely. The network - pardon my heterosexual ironic simile - isn’t man enough to actually fire him. They just want him out of the way for now. Hide him in the closet until he’s ready to grovel.

“Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson has been placed on indefinite hiatus from the reality program following his controversial remarks in GQ magazine regarding homosexuality. While the cast member has not officially been fired, he will not be filming with the show moving forward.

Meanwhile, it seems that the only person sticking up for Robertson is Sarah Palin. And probably all those crazy people in the Tea Party, but I don’t think anyone’s asked them for their opinion yet on this.

Sarah Palin says the suspension of one of the stars of the show “Duck Dynasty” over recent anti-gay comments he made is an attack on free speech.

Palin re-posted a picture of her meeting with the stars of the A&E show on her Facebook page Wednesday night, writing that “intolerants” were behind the suspension of the show’s patriarch, Phil Robertson.

“Free speech is an endangered species. Those ‘intolerants’ hatin’ and taking on the Duck Dynasty patriarch for voicing his personal opinion are taking on all of us,”

Of course she’s right. But this is what happens to anyone ... ANYONE ... even famous public figures, who go against the agenda.  Do not ever speak up against the blacks, the muslims, or the sexually atypical. You will be burned at the stake if you do.

politically correct school removes certain books to win race equality award. not a joke.

Happened on this a few days ago and just now getting to it to post.  Just shows what spineless frackin idiots are at work and play being all kinds of diverse and liberal , blah, blah so on and so forth. Libtards.  Hate the swine. No wait. That’s us. Conservatives are more liberal than the ones called that if you think about it. I haven’t heard of any conservative calling for any sort of book ban cos some words are ... no longer in favor or might be misunderstood or might cause offense to one person. Or even a group. But I especially can not envision our side doing this just to win,
you hafta get ready for this.

To win a race equality award

Think it’s a joke?  I might have 25 years ago but ... take a look at this.

A PRIMARY school has banned Enid Blyton books so that it qualified for a race equality award.

The much-loved children’s classics were cleared from shelves because they contain ‘inappropriate racial stereotypes’.
Action was taken so that Huncoat Primary School near Accrington, Lancashire, would gain a Race Equality Mark from the local authority prior to opening a new library, officials said.

Headteacher Sean Crosier said: ‘We checked all our books. Some contained references that reflected outdated attitudes.’
These included mention of gipsies and golliwogs, a source said.

Blyton, who died in 1968, wrote some 800 books. They have been translated into nearly 90 languages and sold more than 600million copies worldwide.

One of her best-known characters is Noddy, although her greatest output involved adventure books such as The Famous Five and The Secret Seven.
Many contained references that were commonplace at the time but were later deemed racist, sexist or anti-Semitic and subsequently cut or altered. Despite this, Blyton’s books sold nearly eight million copies between 2000 and 2010 and she was voted Britain’s best-loved author in the 2008 Costa Book Awards.

Huncoat deputy head Phil Clarke said some of the books that had been taken from the school library had been replaced with updated versions.

‘It’s about making sure children have a fair representation of different ethnic groups,’ he said.

Well what they did was slightly different in that they removed the ones that were not politically correct and replaced what they could with “updated” versions that reflect our times.
In other words ... mealy mouthed pc bullshit and all done for the kiddies so they can grow up perfect smug know it all lefties who will seek out things to be offended by on behalf of people they have never met and do not know.

Yeah ... carbon copies of their teachers.

oh yeah. And god forbid a book should “mention gypsies” even though those vermin are in the news daily these days. And not for reasons that will make anyone happy.

THE DIVERSITY PO-LEECE AND OFFENSE SEEN WHERE IT DOESN’T EVEN EXIST

Just another sign of the times.

It only takes ONE “offended” loony tune to open an investigation into race and hate crime scenario.

Another gem from Littlejohn of the Daily Mail.

SEEING OFFENSE WHERE THERE ISN’T ANY

By Richard Littlejohn

A mural painted in 1936 and lovingly restored with a Heritage Lottery Fund grant this week found itself at the centre of a ‘hate crime’ investigation.

It features scenes from the Lewis Carroll children’s classic Alice In Wonderland and is on display in the assembly hall at Wardie Primary School in Edinburgh.

But when one prospective parent spotted a golliwog lurking on a shelf in one of the nine paintings, she went bonkers. Sorry, but there really is no other word to describe her reaction.

Margaret Neizer-Rocha complained to the police, the City of Edinburgh Council and members of the Scottish Parliament about the ‘racist and offensive nature’ of the mural.

She likened it to displaying a swastika or a Ku Klux Klan costume.

Oh, for heaven’s sake.

But instead of telling Mrs Neizer-Rocha to calm down, the authorities indulged her. A po-faced police spokesman said: ‘Police Scotland treats all reports relating to hate incidents seriously and investigates thoroughly whenever a report of this nature is made.’

This is what happens when you change the law to allow ‘hate crimes’ to be defined in the eye of the beholder. All sense of perspective goes straight out of the window. You end up with lowest-common-denominator prosecutions based not on facts but on the opinion of the person with the thinnest skin.

Mrs Neizer-Rocha, who is herself black, is entitled to take offence. But she’s not entitled to expect the forces of law and order to dance to her tune.

Unfortunately, the police long ago lost the plot when it comes to ‘racism’ and ‘hate crimes’.

Most of us thought we’d grown out of all this golliwog nonsense donkey’s years ago. It all began back in the Eighties when the Left launched a campaign against the gollies on Robertson’s jam jars.

The hysteria reached its nadir when a number of police forces raided toy shops confiscating gollies and threatening owners with prosecution.

Even Buckingham Palace was forced to issue a grovelling, self-flagellating apology after someone spotted a golliwog on sale in the Sandringham souvenir shop.

How on earth can anyone classify an 80-year-old Alice In Wonderland painting as a ‘hate’ incident?

There is more than enough genuine hatred and racism in the world, without fetishising golliwogs for special opprobrium.

Why should modern black people living in Britain be offended? I’ve never seen anyone who looks or dresses remotely like a golliwog. Well not since the days of Afro perms and Seventies funk bands.

Isn’t it time, in the Left’s favourite phrase, to move on?

There was an interesting letter in The Times yesterday from a man of African heritage living in Devon. You can’t change history, he wrote, so leave the golliwogs alone.

That’s precisely the point made about the Alice In Wonderland mural by Jeremy Howard, of the Decorated School project at the University of St Andrews: ‘This is history. If you start painting it out or get rid of it you’re deceiving people about what views were prevalent in the Thirties.’

While Plod couldn’t wait to launch a ‘hate’ investigation, and tick a few ‘diversity’ boxes, the school and Edinburgh Council are made of sterner stuff and have refused to remove the mural or paint over the golly.

And that should be the end of the matter but,

in order to be seen to be ‘doing something’, the school has announced it will be stepping up ‘anti-racism’ lessons for its pupils.

Why?

race - ism …. it’s whatever the left bedwetters say it is. even when it isn’t.

I guess I let the damnedest things annoy me, so things like acid reflux shouldn’t be any surprise.
Thing is ... I see something like the following article and just don’t understand the idiots that honestly believe the crap they do.

Hey, personally I think the kids who did this look kinda silly, but on the other hand it was a clever stunt.
A send up of Somali pirates.  The pose the girl took in this photo looks plain dumb, but then I suppose not being an actress or a professional model, she struck the pose she felt looked .... ?  Smart?  Whatever.
But for all the folks now shouting RAAAAAAACE.  I tell ya I’d like to mowem all down. Somali pirates happen to be black. Or at least a very dark brown. So the kids dress up but since they’re white, they are now condemned AND ....  The suck ups at the newspaper want someone to ID the kids.
This is all the result of very successful brain cleansing and indoctrination on a massive scale, by the politically correct left bed wetters, of generations of youth from the time they enter schools. And maybe before. They have managed to carry things so far that nowadays, to use the term colored in reference to a person is now “offensive” and “insensitive.”

Meanwhile, for all the advance in medicine, in science and technology and other other spheres of human endeavor, people are becoming more and more like sheep and not much smarter.  Here. See for yourself.

Law society students ‘black up’ for university drinking event while pretending to be Somali pirates

One critic brands it ‘an image of black and ethnic minority oppression’
Student union boss says ‘it’s not acceptable and should not be condoned’
Drinking session organised by The Edinburgh University Law Society
Organisation ‘apologises unreservedly for any upset caused’

By Simon Tomlinson

A group of law students were at the centre of a racism row today after they ‘blacked up’ for a fancy dress drinking session.

The ‘Beerienteering’ event, organised by The Edinburgh University Law Society, had an Around The World fancy dress code.

But four members sparked outrage after pictures emerged of them dressed as Somali pirates with their faces painted black.

Do you know the students involved? Contact us by emailing editorial @ mailonline dot co dot uk

image

The group - made up of three males and one female - happily posed for pictures but were later challenged by angry members of other societies.

One student said: ‘This is an image of black and ethnic minority oppression becoming manifested in students’ costumes.

Is that last line some kind of major pc bs er what? Does the jerk actually believe what he has said?  Or does he say it because he thinks he should believe it?
I’m telling you folks ... the universities are taking in and graduating fools and worse.

Note to readers. For some reason bmews engine or whatever controls things, will not allow the address in the request to ID the awful perpetrators of the latest crime of the century. Which is why I had to write in the dot co dot uk stuff.  I hope at least one of you will drop the pc editor a line. Or two.
And btw ..... for those who can understand Shakespeare.

Would any white actor playing Othello be a raaaaaaacist?

‘Racism should be opposed on every level and Edinburgh University and we as a student body should do all within our power to make sure these attitudes are called out.’

An official event page describes Beerienteering as ‘a steeplechase around the bars of Edinburgh full of plenty challenges and surprises’ and tells attendees to ‘expect over-the-top fancy dress.’

Teams of four students including one girl, must race around Edinburgh’s pubs completing various ‘challenges’ along the way to find out their next destination.

The winning team is the one which completes the route in the shortest time.

It is understood that door staff at The Hive nightclub in the city were challenged by other students after allowing the controversial group entry to the venue.

The door staff are believed to have replied that those who were offended could ‘head somewhere else’.

The Edinburgh University Law Society is an independent society and is not affiliated with the Edinburgh University Students Association (EUSA).

Nadia Mehdi, vice president of Societies and Activities at EUSA, said: ‘I’m really shocked to see that in this day and age these students weren’t aware of or chose to ignore the offence they would cause by painting their faces black.

‘It’s not acceptable and should not be condoned. The Law Society is not a EUSA society so we can’t discipline them, but I will be bringing this to the attention of the Law School.’

Keir Gilius, President of the Law Society, said in a statement: ‘The fancy dress theme was All Around the World.

‘As a society, we try to arrange our events with innovative and interesting themes leaving scope for attendees to use their imaginations.

‘In no way was this theme intended to incite racism or cultural appropriation and, as a society, we are vehemently opposed to discrimination of any form.

‘On behalf of the members of our society, we apologise unreservedly for any upset caused.

‘In response to some of the costumes designed, in the future we will strive to ensure that any fancy dress events will actively discourage the use of any costumes that could be perceived as being offensive.

‘If so, the wearers may be denied participation in said event.

‘As a society, we respect our members’ right to freedom of expression, however, cultural insensitivity is intolerable and this is something that we are completely opposed to.

Funny innit how some folks feel they are qualified to decide what is culturally insensitive and intolerable. I guess anything that isn’t politically correct by all these future lawyers is intolerable.

‘In light of the ongoing and comprehensive commentary on our Facebook page, I would not propose to discuss any further details.’

A spokesman for the University of Edinburgh said: ‘The University takes issues relating to equality and diversity very seriously and hopes and expects that all members of the University community do the same.

‘To this end, it has a range of relevant policies and procedures in place to address such issues as they arise.’

movie dangers – male chauvinism - be on the lookout

If I were new to this sort of thing, that is, posting things to a site like ours, I might start out by saying, I can’t believe what I’m seeing. Or something similar.  Or maybe I’d say, you won’t believe this but ...
Thing is however, I now can believe it and you will have no doubts either.  Together we have seen or in the case of bmews we have read about some really strange stuff.  I don’t think I have to list it all. So, I’ll simply pick up where I left off about a week ago when I shared a story with you from Sweden, where a school decided to ban gender specific words, and toys also are under the gun in the gender wars.
Now how is this for the continuing nut case insanity coming from Sweden.

Wait, hang on just another second.

I forgot to tell you their new system is named after an American! Oh boy.  Did we need this?  The bigger question is, when will it arrive in America?
It isn’t that it will hurt anyone or destroy a good movie.  It’s just that it’s plain silly. I have watched several videos over the last few weeks, and have not seen what the politically correct say I should notice.

Cinemas in Sweden introduce ratings that indicate if a movie features SEXISM (and every Star Wars and Lord Of The Rings film would need one)

To get an ‘A’ rating movies must have at least two female characters who talk to each other about something other than men

Scandinavian cable TV channel Viasat Film says it will start using the ratings in its film reviews

By Ted Thornhill

Cinema goers are used to looking out for warnings of nudity and violence in films. Now another category has been added to the list of movie dangers – male chauvinism.

Cinemas in Sweden have introduced an ‘A’ rating to highlight films that have a shortage of ‘female perspectives’.

The guidance system – named the Bechdel test after US feminist Alison Bechdel – will monitor whether at least two female characters talk to each other about subjects other than men.

‘The entire Lord of the Rings trilogy, all Star Wars movies, The Social Network, Pulp Fiction and all but one of the Harry Potter movies fail this test,’ said Ellen Tejle, the director of Bio Rio, an art-house movie theatre in Stockholm’s trendy Sodermalm district.

Bio Rio is one of four Swedish movie theatres that launched the new rating last month to draw attention to how few movies pass. Most visitors have reacted positively to the initiative ‘and for some people it has been an eye-opener,’ said Tejle, reclining in one of Bio Rio’s cushy red seats.

Beliefs about women’s roles in society are influenced by the fact that movie watchers rarely see ‘a female superhero or a female professor or person who makes it through exciting challenges and masters them,’ Tejle said, noting that the rating doesn’t say anything about the quality of the film. ‘The goal is to see more female stories and perspectives on cinema screens.’

The state-funded Swedish Film Institute supports the initiative, which is starting to catch on.

Scandinavian cable TV channel Viasat Film says it will start using the ratings in its film reviews and has scheduled an ‘A’ rated ‘Super Sunday’ on Nov. 17, when it will show only films that pass the test, such as The Hunger Games, The Iron Lady and Savages.

The Bechdel test got its name from American cartoonist Alison Bechdel, who introduced the concept in her comic strip Dykes to Watch Out For in 1985. It has been discussed among feminists and film critics since then, but Tejle hopes the ‘A’ rating system will help spread awareness among moviegoers about how women are portrayed in films.

In Bio Rio’s wood-panelled lobby, students Nikolaj Gula and Vincent Fremont acknowledged that most of their favourite films probably wouldn’t get an ‘A’ rating.

‘I guess it does make sense, but to me it would not influence the way I watch films because I’m not so aware about these questions,’ said Fremont, 29.

Sweden’s advertising ombudsman watches out for sexism in that industry and reprimands companies seen as reinforcing gender stereotypes, for example by including skimpily clad women in their ads for no apparent reason other than to draw eyeballs.

Since 2010, the Equalisters project has been trying to boost the number of women appearing as expert commentators in Swedish media through a Facebook page with 44,000 followers. The project has recently expanded to Finland, Norway and Italy.

For some, though, Sweden’s focus on gender equality has gone too far.

‘If they want different kind of movies they should produce some themselves and not just point fingers at other people,’ said Tanja Bergkvist, a physicist who writes a blog about Sweden’s ‘gender madness.’

The ‘A’ rating also has been criticized as a blunt tool that doesn’t actually reveal whether a movie is gender-balanced.

‘There are far too many films that pass the Bechdel test that don’t help at all in making society more equal or better, and lots of films that don’t pass the test but are fantastic at those things,’ said Swedish film critic Hynek Pallas.

Pallas, who moved from communist Czechoslovakia to Sweden in the 1970s, also criticized the state-funded Swedish Film Institute - the biggest financier of Swedish film - for vocally supporting the project, saying a state institution should not ‘send out signals about what one should or shouldn’t include in a movie.’

In 2010, Kathryn Bigelow became the first woman to win the Academy Award for Best Director for The Hurt Locker. That movie - a war film about a bomb disposal team in Iraq - doesn’t pass the Bechdel test

This kind of thing is sooooo old and over used that I was going to pass it by and not post it.

BUT ....

A brand new word and a brand new offense caught my eye.  Seeing it, I thought all of you might benefit from the discovery.

A BRAND NEW “ISM” FOLKS.
Just when you may have thought that all the isms were used up and out there .... the idiot pc crowd invents a new one.

A B L E ISM

You are not seeing things.  That’s right. The new ism is ableism.  What will these ignorant ass wipes think of next?
Oh how I wish they’d all die.  They are worthless as humans and only manage to get in the way of progress.

Take a look at this.  Sheesh.

They even have an .... anti Fascist officer.  That’s how they get to censor whatever they like, whenever they like. They call it anti Fascist and that makes it all okay.

‘Racist’ university students refused entry to union nightclub for wearing sombreros and fake moustaches… and Native American member of Village People is also banned

University of Birmingham student union cracks down on ‘offensive’ outfits

Basketball team was told they could not enter club dressed as Mexicans

Another student went on night out with friends dressed as Village People but was banned because he was the ‘Native American’

Union says it is standing against ‘racism, ageism, sexism, ableism, homophobia and transphobia’

By Hugo Gye

A group of students have been banned from wearing sombreros and fake moustaches at a fancy dress night because they might be perceived as racist.

A sports team at the University of Birmingham had hoped to dress as Mexicans at a Halloween party until a union official told them they would not be allowed in with their costumes.

Students have criticised the ban as ‘heavy-handed political correctness gone mad’, as it also emerged that one person was denied entry to a party because he was dressed as the ‘Native American’ member of the Village People.

Earlier this year the university’s student union, the Guild of Students, announced a clampdown on ‘all forms of oppressive and discriminatory behaviour’ at its club nights.

Since then, undergraduates have been barred from events simply because of what they were wearing, while the hit song Blurred Lines has been banned because of its ‘distressing’ content.

University basketball player Carl Raynsford, 21, told The Tab student newspaper that last Saturday his team were not allowed to attend an Halloween event dressed in stereotypical Mexican outfits, after the union’s ‘anti-racism and anti-fascism officer’ objected.

‘We were dressed as Mexicans which involved only a sombrero and a poncho and potentially a drawn-on moustache,’ he said. ‘I’m not sure why it’s deemed racist, nor why the ‘anti-facism officer’ needs any involvement.

‘Would I be offended if someone came as an Englishman?’

Vicki Harris, vice-president for sport at the union, wrote to the team saying: ‘Dressing up as Mexicans would not be OK since it could be seen as imitation of a culture and relate to a stereotype about the race of that particular ethnicity group, even if the intention is by no means harmful at all.

‘We are in the process of creating some guidelines which will offer more direction but in the meantime if you have a back-up theme I would recommend going with that instead.

‘From speaking with venues you would be asked to take off Mexican-related fancy dress items before coming into the guild.’

Third-year student Jonathan Blausten says he was also refused entry to the Guild’s club night when he dressed as a fictional character from a made-up Middle Eastern country.

In an open letter, the 21-year-old wrote: ‘I was refused entry dressed as Admiral General Aladeen from The Dictator, because my costume was “racist”.

‘I’m still waiting to hear who I was offending, going as a character from a fictional country in a movie which parodies almost every country on earth with no particular bias.

doing away with gender bias toys and ban the words him and her. it confuses kids.

I read something upsetting in the paper perhaps it was yesterday.
Something I just could not get my head around because it seems, to me anyway, so damn nonsensical.  And the thing of it is, all this pc crap we’ve been slaves to is promoted by small groups but very vocal and troublesome ones.

Going back many years ago, (the 60s?) it was decided that the term Miss was anti woman and derogatory and demeaning, so on and so forth. Decided by who exactly?  A handful of femanazis who changed Miss to Mz, originally and finally to Ms. and pronounced as mizz. And everyone simply caved in and bought into it because I suppose it wasn’t something large enuff to make a stink about and far easier to give in and move on.

Well, little by little by little, a little later on, other things began to change too.  Here in Britain coloured to describe someone who was, well … coloured, became an offensive word.  Another group decided that gay was a nice word to describe their own particular lifestyle and so now, how many of you will describe a nice day in the country or at a beach as, having a gay time?  And always the changes are not made by a majority of the population.  So here we are today with something else a minority group is changing.  I thought is was recent as in this year.  Guess I’ve been asleep because in November of 2012 in Sweden …..

Have a gender neutral holiday! Swedish toy company bans photos of girls holding dolls from its catalogue pages

“For several years, we have found that the gender debate has grown so strong in the Swedish market that we ... have had to adjust,” Jan Nyberg, director of sales at Top Toy, franchise-holder toy chain Toys R Us, told the TT news agency Friday

Sweden’s largest toy chain said Friday that its toys are “gender neutral” after picturing boys holding baby dolls and banishing girls from the dolls pages of its Christmas catalogue.

“For several years, we have found that the gender debate has grown so strong in the Swedish market that we ... have had to adjust,” Jan Nyberg, director of sales at Top Toy, franchise-holder for US toy chain Toys R Us, told the TT news agency Friday.

The country’s advertising watchdog reprimanded the company for gender discrimination three years ago following complaints over outdated gender roles in the 2008 Christmas catalogue, which featured boys dressed as superheroes and girls playing princess.

sweden 2012

There’s more but I know you get the picture.

So I happen to be reading the paper over breakfast when I ran across this.

And I wish the heck they would stop using the word “pressurised” as you see here, when the term pressured in this case sounds better and besides, isn’t pressurised somewhat different from pressured?
And please since when has a normal kid from a non pc family ever felt any pressure when looking at toys?  Did any of you guys ever feel any pressure to choose a fire engine or a tank instead of your sister’s doll and tea set?

Debenhams drops ‘sexist’ toy labels: Parent’s don’t want children to feel pressurised into picking gender-specific options

By SARAH HARRIS

The High Street chain began removing ‘girls’ and ‘boys’ signs this week following a ‘sustained’ campaign from a parent-led action group.
Debenhams told the group on Twitter: ‘We would like to assure you that changes have been made to the way we categorise toys in our stores.
‘These changes will take place across all stores in the next few weeks.’ A spokeswoman said this meant the removal of all ‘girls’ and ‘boys’ headers in toy departments across the UK and Ireland. It is also currently reviewing its website.

You really should read the whole article above to get a taste of just how far things have gone.

You’ll notice the paper refers to the store, Boots, as Chemist.  Boots is a very large Pharmacy chain here.  Generally, pharmacists are called chemists. It’s only in recent times and I suppose American influence, that many are starting to use American terms.

Boots removes store signs labelling girls’ and boys’ toys but says they are ‘dismayed’ after customers complain of sexism

The high street chemist admitted it had got its signage wrong after scores of shoppers complained about the separate signs for boys’ and girls’ toys.
· Science Museum experiment kits ‘for boys’ and tea-sets ‘for girls’ in Boots
· Chemist apologises for gender stereotyping and promises to remove signs

Chemist chain Boots is to remove in-store signs advertising science toys for boys after complaints from customers over gender stereotyping on Twitter and Facebook.

Shoppers complained about the high street chain suggesting toys from the Science Museum were for boys.
Yesterday the high street pharmacist said it was wrong to have labelled the toys according to gender, in a statement posted on its Facebook page.

I wonder just how many ppl bitched about it. One? 100? 10?  They don’t say but it’s a sure bet it doesn’t take a lot.
The squeaky wheel and all that.

These are very major retailers, caving in to lefty loudmouths.  Oh happy day now that little boys get to play with dolls. Hey, why should girls have all the fun?

These people are telling us that gender specific toys and even words will and in fact do, they claim, confuse children as to who and what they are.
Huh?

This island that once led the world and built an empire and ruled the waves did it with people who grew up confused as kids?
The guys at the Alamo weren’t sure who they were?
This whole damn thing is out of hand.
Can’t wait to see what the next demand will be.  You must know there will be one. Don’t you?

From Sweden again …. Two years ago in 2011.
The campaign isn’t new. It’s been going on for awhile.

You’re all equal here: Swedish school bans ‘him’ and ‘her’ in bid to stop children falling into gender stereotypes

By Daily Mail Reporter

A pre-school in Sweden has decided to stop calling children ‘him’ or ‘her’ in a bid to avoid gender stereotypes.
The Egalia preschool, in the Sodermalm district of Stockholm, has made the decision as part of the country efforts to engineer equality between the sexes from childhood.
The option to implement the rules is underpinned by a theory that society gives boys an unfair edge.

‘Society expects girls to be girlie, nice and pretty and boys to be manly, rough and outgoing,’ says Jenny Johnsson, a 31-year-old teacher.

A BAN ON WORDS IN SWEDEN

Hey … can’t have boys that are going to grow up … gasp …. “manly”.

mind how you go and watch what you say or write. the speech and thought nazis are out there

I really hate these people.  The politically correct ass warts who find things to be offended by, and by heaven if they can’t find something easy they will make it up.

I’m sure things must be just as crazy in the USA, look at the idiots with obama’s blessing, who want to stop the Redskins team from using that word. Some native Americans are ‘offended’ or so they say.

Well, over here it doesn’t take much and in fact if just ONE idiot claims they’ve been offended by what they claim is a racist comment, the cops have to investigate the charge.  In fact, they do not even have to be personally offended themselves.  If one person believes they have read or heard a racist comment, it’ll by god be investigated.

Which brings me to this.

There’s a man here named Alan Sugar, Lord Sugar if you please, who hosts a show called The Apprentice.  Trump does a version in the states. Or he once did.
Anyway .... Lord Sugar made a comment on Twitter.

Lord Sugar faced police racism probe after joking on Twitter that crying Chinese boy was upset ‘because he was told off for leaving the production line of the iPhone 5’

Apprentice star’s tweet offended Nichola Szeto, who spoke to police
The post showed an image of a crying Chinese child wearing a watermelon
He joked that the child was told off for leaving an iPhone 5 production line
Police investigated but took no further action

Well now, this total fool, this left leaning stupid piece of waste material, this life form that shouldn’t be, this one jerk reported the latest crime of the century.

image

Here she is below, trying to look Chinese. She looks like a puke.

Liverpool shop owner Nichola Szeto, whose husband and family are Chinese, complained to the Metropolitan Police Twitter account, saying: ‘I thought racism was illegal.’
image

She was contacted by police on Wednesday but declined to give a statement.

At 8am the next day, she was again contacted by officers who said they wanted to visit her home.

Instead, she agreed to attend a police station in Central Liverpool later that day, where she spent an hour giving a statement to two officers.

Ms Szeto, who runs a health supplements business with her husband, told The Mail on Sunday: ‘I told the police I just wanted to let him know it was wrong.
‘They said they take this very seriously, but I said, “Just leave it, I’ve complained now.” But they phoned back so I went to see them.’
Matthew Sinclair, chief executive of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, said: ‘Individuals must be held to account for their actions, even on social media, but officers should not waste their time chasing every ill-thought-out tweet.’

Dumb tho she is ,,, the police in this matter aren’t guiltless either.  At a point when she thought her gripe was enough and didn’t intend to go any further, the kops did. Of course they did. Cos they’re politically correct also.

Still, the one (so far) jerk of the week just has to be the president of the United States. That’s embarrassing folks.

muslim … to be or not to be … in time won’t be a choice if loopy left holds sway

Well, it’s not so much denouncing the rop as it is denouncing the islamisation of their culture. And who in their right mind would want that?  But this fellow is upset, he says.  My guess is that he’s just sucking up and being all sorts of multi-culture politically correct.
It’s not a huge poster, you’ll see.  I wouldn’t think that most people who see it would even be able to ID the shoes as his design.  Sure, some women might. But the general public?  No way.

Point of the exercise is … there are people in other European countries who also worry, a lot, about what’s happening to their country and culture. And the same thing holds true everywhere.  That many people can not be wrong about their fears.  Everywhere we turn we see appeasement and over accommodation and fear of being branded racists and worse.  Although the ‘R’ thing doesn’t bother me at all.  Big deal on that.

So what has happened here is Miss Belgium 1991 who is now a senator, is much concerned, nay I’d say fearful, that her country will be lost to the ROP one day. She has campaigned for freedom for women from the threat of islam.  That can not be a bad thing. This is her.
image

These are the only pix I could find quickly of her in 1991, along with the poster in question.  No time for a deeper search as this isn’t for eye candy anyway.

image
Who but men into fashion and women would know those shoes?

Christian Louboutin, the luxury shoe designer, has gone to court to kill a far-Right campaign in Belgium that uses the famous stilettos in a poster denouncing Islam.

The poster by Flemish group “Women against Islamisation” reportedly shows the bare legs of Anke Van Dermeersch, a Miss Belgium of 1991, but now a senator for the extreme anti-immigrant party Vlaams Belang. She is wearing the signature red-soled Louboutins as she lifts up a black dress.

Words etched along the naked leg mark potential skirt lengths – ranging from “Sharia compatible” at the ankle to “stoning” high up a thigh.

The poster is loosely inspired by a photograph by Canadian feminist Rosea Lake which went viral in January called Judgements, depicting various skirt lengths ranging from “matronly” to “whore”.

The poster carries the slogan “Liberty or Islam” as well as the group’s web address.

Paris-based Louboutin argues that the ad tarnishes his image and wants an emergency “cease and desist” ruling from an Antwerp trade court.

The Vlaams Belang party, meaning Flemish Interest, has suffered in the polls in recent years and regularly launches provocative media campaigns against what it calls the “Islamisation of Belgium”.

source is The Telegraph

And oh ... just so we can remember .... just a few of the recipients of the ROP’s love and mercy.

pervert the language and soon the acts of killers become benign

Ok, how about militant terrorists ?  Wow, talk about PC and walking on eggs.

Once upon a time in a world that if not saner, and I believe it was, a rose by another name was a what?
Once upon a time the Beeb, as the BBC was called and sometimes still is, was the last word in objective reporting. Who,what, where, when and why if known.  It’s said that now the network has a left bias they hardly even try to hide.

I remember listening to the BBC when the staff spoke English. I mean the Queen’s English.  Now however, some of the ppl who do interviews and are part of the news programs have accents that are jarring to the ear.  Forgetting Hollywood, have you ever listened to someone from Scotland try and speak English?  It has been my misfortune from time to time, to call somewhere and find myself at a call center in Scotland.

What I’m trying to say is that there was once a standard but there no longer is.  And so it is here.

The vermin who killed so many innocents in Nairobi must not be called ‘terrorists’ but ... militants.

They were murderous bastards who enjoyed what they did and they caused terror.  So what’s with this militant crap?

btw .....  there are some reports of rape having occurred as well as the killings, and mutilations.  Not sure yet if that is confirmed.

BBC under fire over guidance preventing reporters from using the word ‘terrorist’ when covering Nairobi massacre

BBC has continually referred to those behind the terror attack as ‘militants’

By Damien Gayle

The BBC has come under fire for referring to the perpetrators of the Kenyan shopping mall massacre as ‘militants’ rather than ‘terrorists’.

In coverage of the violence at the Westgate mall in Nairobi which has killed more than 60 the Corporation’s journalists have repeatedly described the attackers as ‘Islamic militants’.

It is understood that BBC guidance issued to staff tells them to avoid using the term ‘terrorist’ without attribution, but politicians have reacted with anger to the choice of language.

‘Most members of the British public would see the planned and systematic murder of dozens of innocent people in Kenya as terrorism.

‘Sadly, the BBC looks like it has made a bad judgement call on this and is out of touch with ordinary people on a very important issue.’

In four news bulletins this morning, Neal Sleat, newsreader on Radio 4’s today programme, did not use the word ‘terrorist’ once.

Instead he referred to the culprits as ‘Islamic militants’, while reporters on the BBC website describes those responsible as ‘suspected al-Shabab militants’.

The BBC has come under fire before for apparent influence of political correctness on the choice of language in its journalism.

In January it was criticised for calling the gang behind the Algeria hostage killings ‘militants’ rather than ‘terrorists’. Tory MP Andrew Bridgen said he was disappointed that the broadcaster was ‘consistently’ using the term.

The BBC has specific guidance about the word terrorist, warning its reporters that it can imply value judgements. In one report on its website about the attack at BP’s gas plant, it described the killers as ‘militants’ 12 times. The word ‘terrorist’ appeared only in a quote.

Mr Bridgen quizzed David Cameron on the issue and the Prime Minister agreed that he had a ‘good point’. He added: ‘These are terrorists and they should be described as such.’

Prior to that, in 2011’s summer riots, the BBC repeatedly referred to rioters as ‘protesters’ - even as they were filmed looting shops and attacking police.

This One Doesn’t Count

Not A Mass Shooting

Just Another Night In Da Hood

13 People Shot, Including 3-Year-Old Boy, In Back Of The Yards

Thirteen people, including a 3-year-old boy, were shot at a park in the Back of the Yards neighborhood overnight, when two gunmen opened fire on a crowded basketball court.

CBS 2’s Courtney Gousman reports the victims were taken to six different hospitals after they were shot around 10:15 p.m. at Cornell Square Park, near 51st and Wood streets. Dozens of police officers swarmed the park after the shooting.

Three-year-old Deonta Howard Jr. was with his mother at the park when a bullet struck him in the face. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, but was expected to survive.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel was in Washington, D.C., on Friday, but cancelled his schedule there and was flying back to Chicago. His office issued a written statement from the mayor:

“Senseless and brazen acts of violence have no place in Chicago and betray all that we stand for. The perpetrators of this crime will be brought to justice and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I encourage everyone in the community to step forward with any information and everyone in Chicago to continue their individual efforts to build stronger communities where violence has no place.”

As of early Friday, no one was in custody for the shooting, but police were hoping security cameras at the park would lead them to the gunmen.

Just another night in Chicago’s hood. A whole bunch of folks - adults, teens and small children - out playing ball after 10pm on a school night. Two homies who can’t shoot for shit show up and just start poppin’.

Meanwhile, other folks are wondering about Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis’ possible connection to jihad, and how this not-well-paid guy managed to get to Thailand for vacations. Hmmm.

PC busy bodies get commercial removed.  Does this bother you? Should it be removed from bmews?

Ok so 18 people out of how many million bitched about this?  It may be crass, maybe it isn’t even in good taste. Honestly, I am not certain what I think except I do think it’s pretty funny.  I don’t understand how it demeans women. Alright, it offended and demeaned 18.  Sheesh.  Some folks just can’t stand it when other folks have harmless fun.  But the real villains are those who cave in to a few uptight busy bodies, who want to decide based on their tastes, what others should be allowed to see.

Grumble.

So tell me, is this all that bad?

Pot Noodle advert that compared spicy snack to a scantily clad woman is banned

Advertising Standards Agency said advert ‘crass and degrading’ to women
Ad on Pot Noodle Facebook page showed woman in revealing underwear

An internet advert that compared a scantily clad woman to a spicy Pot Noodle has been banned by watchdogs for being ‘crass and degrading’.

The ‘Hot Off’ advert for Piri Piri Pot Noodle featured on the snack’s Facebook page and showed a woman posing in red knickers and a revealing red bra.

The image was posted alongside a picture of the snack and a caption asking visitors ‘Which one gets you hotter?’

message for mr. heffer of the mail. mind your own damn business, not ours.

I never thought I’d be so disappointed by someone that I liked and read and agreed with so much.

I never thought someone who I knew to be a conservative, ok, I’m further to the right but still, he is not a left winger. Anyway, I read this by Simon Heffer of the Mail today and if I had any hair left, I’d probably have pulled it out by now.

There’s almost nothing I hate so much a foreigners telling us what we should do to be liked, and especially I hate the criticism of Guantanamo.

That is our business, not theirs.

Now comes the trial and the sentencing of that faggot Manning.  He betrayed his country and the trust placed in him. Why is that so damn hard for these bleeding hearts to understand?  And why is it thier business anyway?

I’ll be honest here.  My attitude re. sucking up to the world in an effort to be loved makes my blood boil.  Heffer speaks of our standing in the world. Oh yeah? Well if the frackin world doesn’t like what we do, declare war once and for all so we can clean the clock of America haters and the left.

He says we are unpopular across the globe due to Iraq war and Guantanamo Bay.  What planet is Heffer on?  We are ALWAYS unpopular.  We have a few friends, a few.  Mostly we have business arrangements and partners and security agreements with people.  We haven’t too many friends.

I wonder how unpopular we are where send billions of dollars to buy friends?  We’ve gotta be popular with whoever pockets the cash.

Oh btw .....  It has been discovered and reported today that there is some money missing in the sum of approx. £250,000 ( $382,175.00 ), from the comic relief Ugandan charity.  It was money donated by Brits to aid the starving and the kids yadda, yadda.  The Ugandans were given £450,000 of which about 250 is missing.
You don’t say.  Now that is hard to believe.  Does anyone believe that the money is missing or stolen. Nah.

Mr. Heffer Sir, With NO respect intended in any way, Get Bent. Take your damned opinion and shove it where the sun don’t shine. And get yourself on a diet while you’re at it.

Bradley Manning, the U.S. soldier convicted of espionage for supplying information about some of his country’s less creditable activities to WikiLeaks, faces up to 136 years in jail.

He is clearly guilty. But the severity of his sentence will profoundly affect America’s standing in the civilised world.

The U.S. is deeply unpopular across much of the globe as a result of the Iraq war and Guantanamo Bay. It is even viewed with suspicion by traditional allies.

An excessive prison term for Manning would make it look as barbaric as the countries it opposes in the cause of freedom.

school dinner lady serves wrong dish to muslim kid, gets the sack. says was accident.

Just another reason I think this place is doomed.  And don’t be to quick to feel safe America.  I have doubts we’ll escape the same sort of political right thinking back home.  Especially from what some of you have said and mailed to me.  It’ll just take a bit longer due to our size. Unless we get help from our good friends in,
in, uh,,, wait a minute.  I have to think. Our friends in Europe? Nah. That doesn’t look right.
Guess we’re on our own.

Meanwhile, while waiting for the sky to fall, take a look at this.

Primary school dinner lady sacked for ‘negligence, carelessness or idleness’ after she accidentally served gammon to a Muslim pupil

Alison Waldock, 51, apologised for mistake as soon as error was spotted

She said it was difficult to keep track of more than 40 students with different dietary requirements with the lists she was given

But despite 11 years working as a dinner lady, she was sacked by Queen Edith Primary School in Cambridge

By SUZANNAH HILLS

A primary school dinner lady has been sacked for accidentally serving pork to a Muslim pupil.

Alison Waldock, 51, ‘forgot’ the seven-year-old dietary needs when she asked if the schoolgirl wanted gammon and the youngster said yes.

The school’s headteacher spotted the mistake as the youngster was about to tuck into the meat and swept the plate away from her.

The girl’s parents were then told how close their daughter had come to eating the meat, which is banned in their religion.

They complained to the school’s catering firm and Ms Waldock, a dinner lady for 11 years, was suspended pending an investigation.

She insisted she had made an honest mistake and had simply lost track of all the dietary requirements of the children at Queen Edith Primary School in Cambridge.

But she was dismissed a month later for gross misconduct due to ‘negligence, carelessness or idleness’.

Ms Waldock, a mother-of-two, said: ‘I feel the school and catering company made me a scapegoat so they can’t be seen as politically incorrect.
‘I was really upset when I found out what I’d done. I’d never have done something like this on purpose. It was a simple mistake - I was so gutted with the school’s reaction.
‘I’m now too scared to take any similar catering jobs with the council.
‘I don’t think I will ever work as a dinner lady again. I don’t want to go through all this again - it has been horrible.’

Ms Waldock, of Cambridge, added there were around 40 pupils with various dietary requirements and it was impossible to keep track of them with the lists she was given.

British Muslim groups said Ms Waldock’s sacking was ‘heavy-handed’ and an ‘overreaction’.

Inayat Buglawala of campaign group Muslim4UK said: ‘Mistakes occasionally happen. I’m sure the overwhelming majority of Muslim parents would be understanding.

I seriously have my doubts that a 7 year old girl would even know what Gammon is. But then, not having kids, how would I know. But it sure does look from here, like politically correct overreaction.  Even muslim groups aren’t complaining and appear to be against the action taken by the school.
I also wonder why the dish could not have been removed and some believable story given the girl, and not said anything to parents but just a warning to the dinner lady.  Nit picky stuff and shame someone has lost her job.  That is, if it was as appears. Just an accident.

btw, read about a school here that has substituted those fluffy balls, darn it I can’t remember what they are called. They float safely even hit hard. Damn, what are they?  Well anyway, one school has taken away the hard balls used in some sports lest some kid get hit and hurt. Schools are afraid of law suits. One has replaced hockey pucks with some kind of soft thing that hardly goes anywhere.

A hundred million years ago when I was in school, I got hit by a softball during recess.  I was under the damn thing and lost it somehow. Maybe the sun. I don’t remember but it landed on my head. No big deal and mom didn’t take anyone to court and the school didn’t expect that kind of thing anyway.
How times and attitudes have changed.
