Pandering To The Mob Of Stoopit

No Skin In The Game

Major US Air Carriers Ban Trophy Hunt Cargo

The recent killing of a popular lion named Cecil by an American dentist in Zimbabwe sparked considerable outrage on social media and elsewhere against safari hunting. The event has also brought to light the role that airlines play in transporting trophy kills as cargo, and may have contributed to changing airline policy.

On Monday, Delta Air Lines became the latest carrier to change its rules about transporting hunting trophies. Its announcement came as a group of airlines including Air France, KLM, Iberia, IAG Cargo, Singapore Airlines and Qantas signaled last week they would ban the transport of trophy-hunting kills, according to Paul Ferris, the campaign director at SumOfUs.org, a consumer-based petition agency in Brooklyn, which has pressed for changing cargo policies.

“Airlines and other large travel corporations would be foolish to ignore the public reaction to the killing of Cecil the lion, and growing concern about the plight of endangered species,” Mr. Ferris said.

Such a ban was initiated by South African Airways in April, and Emirates, Lufthansa and British Airways later joined. These airlines pledged not to carry big game trophies, including elephants, rhinos, lions and tigers as cargo.

One major holdout had been Delta, which has direct service between the United States and countries in Africa. But bowing to pressure from some travelers and activists, and an online petition on Change.org, Delta changed its position too.

“Effective immediately, Delta will officially ban shipment of all lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros and buffalo trophies worldwide as freight,” according to a statement by Morgan Durrant, a Delta spokesman.

The ban is largely symbolic as most big-game hunters are wealthy and either ship on their own aircraft, ships, or through cargo services.
...
While the statement specifically calls out certain large game, it does not address the legal hunting of smaller trophies such as Antelope, Gazelle, etc. United and American have not specifically updated their policies at this time on listed game, just issuing short statements and tweets on the topic.

And here come the unintended consequences, right on schedule.  Or maybe they’re the intended consequences, since all Liberals are Racist {ask the 2 golly wogs who took down the Bernie Sanders speech}, and thus they don’t care if #AfricanLivesMatter as long as they feel good about themselves? ...

Neighboring Namibia also warned that a ban by airlines on trophy transportation will hurt its economy and conservation efforts that rely on revenue from hunters.

This will be the end of conservation in Namibia,” the Namibia Press Agency quoted Pohamba Shifeta, the environment and tourism minister, as saying.

South Africa says that if hunters can’t take their animal trophies home, a hunting industry worth nearly $500 million a year will suffer, affecting job creation and community development. In Namibia, more than 80 registered Namibian wildlife conservancies depend largely on funding from trophy hunting, according to the Namibia Press Agency.

“If conservancy members have no income, they will abandon their role in protecting the country’s natural resources,” Shifeta said.

But then the Left has never been able to accept the horrible truth that hunters are the real conservationists, and they are the ones pouring millions and billions into preserving open spaces and getting species to increase their numbers. If it weren’t for Ducks Unlimited, there wouldn’t be anywhere near as many marshlands for the little quackers to breed in.

Hysterical Revisionism: “Sandblast them!”

Totalitarian Playbook, Page 7

Surely you saw this one coming back in 2008 didn’t you? I know I certainly did. I actually expect NASA to be taken apart too, as if it never existed.

Remember back when the Taliban was taking over Afghanistan? And they were blowing up all those 5th Century Buddha shrines and caves and stuff?

And now, how ISIS is destroying all the antiquities and ancient cities of Babylon in Syria and Iraq?

Yeah. Sounds mighty similar. Same playbook, same page. Different field. Mostly different totalitarians. Mostly.

First They Got The Flag

image COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Confederate flag on South Carolina’s statehouse grounds came down during a Friday morning ceremony, ending its 54-year presence at the Capitol.

Members from a South Carolina Highway Patrol honor guard approached the Confederate memorial, and as one turned a lever to lower the flag, the assembled large crowd burst into sustained applause and chanted “U.S.A.!” The flag will be placed in a museum.

Friday’s ceremony in Columbia bookended the highly emotional debate in South Carolina over the flag’s place on the statehouse grounds, a conversation that began anew after last month’s mass shooting of nine worshipers at a historic black church in Charleston. The nation reeled with shock and pain, and the state and U.S. flags atop South Carolina’s Capitol dome were lowered. But the Confederate battle emblem on the statehouse grounds flew high; only the legislature had the power to lower or bring it down.

Photos then emerged of the alleged Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church shooter, an avowed white supremacist, posing with the Confederate symbol. The flag’s place in the state gained instant national scrutiny, with those calling for its removal saying it symbolizes racial hate and violence. In a high-profile gesture, an activist climbed atop the flagpole and removed the flag; she was arrested and the flag was replaced.

Officials also said the flag should come down, including Gov. Nikki Haley (R), who asked the legislature to take up the issue. Lawmakers passed a bill this week to remove the flag.

“In South Carolina, we honor tradition, we honor history, we honor heritage, but there’s a place for that flag, and that flag needs to be in a museum, where we will continue to make sure people will honor it appropriately,” Haley said

Then They Got General Forrest

image The Memphis City Council Parks Committee on Tuesday approved an ordinance allowing the city to move the Nathan Bedford Forrest statue out of Health Sciences Park, and they also approved a resolution to move the remains of Forrest and his wife, which are buried at the park.

The ordinance and resolution came on the heels of a national movement to remove symbols of the Confederacy after a reported white supremacist, Dylann Roof, allegedly murdered nine church members at the historically black Emanuel AME Church in June.

The ordinance to transfer ownership of the statue and to remove and relocate it will be required to pass three readings of the full council before it would go into effect. The resolution to remove the Confederate general’s remains only requires one reading, and the council agreed this morning to move it to tonight’s full council agenda.

But even if that resolution passes, state law would require that the city bring a lawsuit in Shelby County Chancery Court to have the remains removed and relocated. State law requires a Chancery Court decision for the removal and reburial of remains, and any remaining relatives of the deceased must be made a party in the lawsuit.

As for the remains, Wade’s opinion highlights the fact that Forrest’s will, which was probated in Shelby County on December 17, 1877, mentions his request to be buried at Elmwood “among the Confederate dead.” Forrest and his wife were originally buried at Elmwood, but their remains were moved to Health Sciences Park (formerly Forrest Park) on November 11, 1904.

The statue was dedicated there on May 18, 1905 by the Forrest Monument Association. The association paid for the statue with private donations, including the donated salaries of the Memphis City Councilmembers who held office in 1903. On March 25, 1903, the association had petitioned the council to authorize a special tax levy for the statue. The council objected because of the need for funding for streets, sewers, and bridges, but the since the members supported the idea for the statue, they agreed to donate that day’s salaries to the cause.

At today’s council committee meeting, Lee Millar of the Sons of Confederate Veterans expressed disapproval of the proposed move of the statue and the remains.

“We are steadfastly opposed to moving the statue of one of our American heroes,” Millar said. “And it would be an abhorrent thing to dig up the graves in Forrest Park.”

And Now It’s Time For General Lee, General Jackson, and Jefferson Davis

imageNAACP wants Confederate carving removed from Georgia’s Stone Mountain The famous outdoor relief sculpture depicting Confederate leaders on Stone Mountain in Georgia has come under attack from the Atlanta chapter of the NAACP. The chapter’s leader is calling for the removal of the Confederate Memorial Carving that depicts Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson.

A press release from Richard Rose, the president of the Atlanta chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, calls for the elimination of the Confederate carving, calling it a “glorification of white supremacy.”

“It is time for Georgia and other Southern states to end the glorification of slavery and white supremacy paid for and maintained with the taxes of all its citizens,” the release states.

“History reminds us that despite the hero status accorded to Robert E. Lee, the West Point educated Lee was a traitor who led the military effort of the breakaway states, including Georgia.”

The release continues, “The insurrection’s sole purpose was to create a separate nation that would maintain the enslavement of generations of African descendants.”

Rose said in a phone interview with The Times on Tuesday that “symbols demonstrate people’s mindset. They mean something. There are monuments all over the South… that were erected to demonstrate and celebrate white supremacy.”

He said that the art work is also inappropriate because none of the Confederate leaders depicted hails from Georgia.

“The heritage we should be celebrating is the U.S. heritage. We’re not a separate nation,” Rose said. He added that he is working with local lawmakers to push this issue forward.

In an interview with local Atlanta WSB-TV, Rose said that the Confederate carvings “can be sandblasted off or someone can carefully remove a slab of that” to sell at auction to the highest bidder.

He also said, “Our tax dollars should not be used to commemorate slavery.”

Please pardon me; I can’t write about this. I am not a Southerner by birth or by disposition, but I am apoplectic at this insult. This is just wrong in every aspect.

why not ban buses too? make things 2wice as safe for cyclists. and cars. ban them as well

HGV that stands for Heavy Goods Vehicle. Or Lorry as the Brits would say it.

Who else but the eco friendly health obsessed politically correct left, would suggest banning those heavy duty large size trucks from a busy city. Or sure we’d all probably have a slightly easier time but …. this is not about the convenience of the motorist but the safety of people on bikes. You know, those of the dweeb helmets designed by the pc for the pc.  I think those helmets were designed by gays.

Anyway … the acting leader of the Labour Party, Harriet (Harperson) Harman,
has suggested a ban on delivery trucks during the busy rush hours.  Why?  To make things safer for those (few) on bikes.  Okay maybe those few are a lot of ppl but, maybe they need to be more careful.  How about a ban on the bikers?

I think too many cyclists just assume drivers must do all the looking out while they happily peddle away usually holding up traffic.  Ever get stuck behind someone desperately peddling away uphill and not even at the side so a motorist can safely pass?  Sometimes they’re smack damn in the middle and if you beep your horn at them, they become offended and reply with an international gesture.

Last week a young fellow was peddling his way on a sidewalk and ran into a little three year old girl.  She even got dragged several feet, her blood everywhere, he fell down, got up and biked away.

Which I suppose is off topic cos the story is about a truck ban.
Take a look.

Harriet Harman: ban lorries in rush hour to save cyclists

Acting Labour leader calls for HGVs to be banned in London at peak times after collision in Camberwell leaves cyclist fighting for her life
By Emily Gosden

Lorries should be banned at rush hour in London to protect cyclists, Harriet Harman, the acting Labour party leader has said.

Ms Harman called for the ban after a female cyclist was left in a critical condition by a collision with a lorry in Camberwell, south London.

“Thoughts with woman cyclist hit by lorry near Camberwell Green,” she wrote on Twitter. “Ban lorries at rush hour. Cycling should be safe”

The cyclist, who is in her thirties, was fighting for her life in hospital. The driver of the lorry involved in the collision, which reportedly belonged to the Co-operative Food, stopped at the scene and there were no arrests.

In a statement, Ms Harman added: “It’s tragic that yet another cyclist - a young woman - has been critically injured in Southwark. My thoughts are with her.

“I want to see London being a safe place for cyclists. That’s why I strongly support Southwark Council’s proposal for a ‘safe cycling hour’ during the morning and evening rush hour, banning HGV’s on the roads at those times. People must be able to cycle to work safely”.

A Labour party spokesman said Ms Harman was speaking in her capacity as constituency MP for Camberwell and that a ban on lorries, which Ms Harman has supported for some time, was not Labour party policy.

Peter Shakespeare, director of communications at the Road Haulage Association, criticised Ms Harman’s position, saying banning trucks would be a “kneejerk reaction”.

“There are already quite strict restrictions on lorry movements at night and to increase those restrictions further could compromise the supply chain that keeps the nation’s capital functioning. Foods, clothes - you name it, it has to travel on the back of a lorry,” he said.

He said a series of measures had already been introduced to improve safety for road users.

“The industry has gone a long way to address some of the issues and one also has to bear in mind that not all accidents with commercial vehicles means trucks, it means buses as well.”

same story with added material and … what’s in a name? if ur queer, a lot.

I hope I’ll be forgiven the post on this subject for the second time in only a few days.
Aside from the fact that it is telling with regard to the culture, this is Richard Littlejohn’s column on the subject, which I didn’t have when I originally told the story.
It well worth your time reading his comments, especially as he’s a pro and put things far better than I am able to. As well, he touches on subject matter I missed.

So .... Heeeeeeeers Richard.

Fire up the Quattro...there’s been a ‘hate crime’: RICHARD LITTLEJOHN wants to know why a headteacher who used the term ‘special needs’ was investigated by police

By Richard Littlejohn for the Daily Mail

As Benedict Cumberbatch discovered recently, keeping up with the acceptable language of diversity and inclusion is fraught with danger.

The Sherlock star fell foul of the speech police after describing black actors as ‘coloured’, rather than the latest de rigueur term ‘persons of colour’.

Even though he intended no offence — quite the opposite, in fact — he was forced to abase himself before the diversity nazis and the deranged social media lynch-mob.

Still, it could have been worse. Cumberbatch was lucky he didn’t end up in court charged with ‘hate crime’.

Use an expression which somebody finds ‘inappropriate’ and chances are the Old Bill will be kicking your front door down at six o’clock in the morning.

Headteacher Janet Felkin has just had to endure a six-month ‘disability hate crime’ investigation at the hands of the local council, the Department for Education and the ever-vigilant Sussex Police.

Her ‘offence’ was to describe an autistic pupil as having ‘special needs’. What’s wrong with that? It’s widely used official shorthand for children with special educational needs.

The Department for Education has legions of officials working on behalf of those with special needs. Sussex Police itself last month gave a £500 donation to a charity which ‘provides support for those with special needs’.

But why let the facts get in the way of a good witch-hunt? Under Labour’s lazily drafted, politically motivated 2003 Criminal Justice Act, the definition of a ‘hate crime’ is: ‘Any incident . . . which is perceived by the victim or any other person (my italics) as being motivated by prejudice or hate.’

In this case, the complaint was made by the father of the child in question, who also happens to be a parent-governor at Miss Felkin’s school, Blatchington Mill Secondary, in Hove.

Colleagues say this particular individual — whom we can’t name without identifying his blameless child — appears to have a vendetta against Miss Felkin, and has filed a string of vexatious complaints against her over the past four years.

He reported her ‘special needs’ comments to Brighton and Hove City Council’s Partnership Community Safety Team. (Don’t you just love the Orwellian titles these jumped-up council commissars give themselves?)

But instead of telling him to get stuffed, the council began a full-scale investigation, which eventually involved the DfE and the Old Bill, who are determined to stamp out ‘hate’, even where it doesn’t exist.

A Sussex Police spokesman confirmed that Miss Felkin had been interviewed, but was anxious to stress: ‘This investigation was not into a specific person, but into a report that the term ‘special needs’ had been used at a governors’ meeting.’

Why?

What business is it of the police to investigate whether or not the expression ‘special needs’ had been used at a school governors’ meeting? And why, on the police’s own admission, did it take ‘a period of weeks’ to establish that no crime had been committed?

(They were probably deciding whether they could charge Miss Felkin with committing ‘misconduct in public office’.)

A half-wit with the attention span of a dragonfly could have worked out in ten seconds flat that there was no crime here.

Yet Miss Felkin, an ‘outstanding’ teacher with 40 years’ experience, was left in purgatory for six full months while lawyers acting for the council, the school’s governing body, the DfE, the National College of Teaching and Sussex Constabulary considered whether she was guilty of ‘disability hate crime’.

I’m still at a loss as to what was wrong with using ‘special needs’ to describe an autistic child. Then again, you can’t say ‘handicapped’ or ‘disabled’ any more, either.

Yet these were introduced from the best of intentions to replace far more pejorative terms. Not so long ago, children with special needs were described as having ‘learning difficulties’.

That was abandoned when ‘LD’ became a catch-all term of abuse in the playground, just as ‘spastic’ had been in previous generations. Maybe ‘special needs’ is the new, cruel playground taunt. I’m not even sure you can say ‘autistic’ any more. The acceptable expression is now ‘on the autism spectrum’.

At least, it was last week. This week, who knows?

A vast bureaucracy now exists to police the language, to appease those who declare themselves offended and to punish transgressors who fall foul of the latest zealously enforced orthodoxy.

So it doesn’t matter whether a crime has actually been committed — just so long as someone claims to be offended, the police will fire up the Quattro.

Sometimes this has hilarious consequences, although not for those who find themselves on the receiving end. A few years ago, Northamptonshire Police investigated Basil Brush for ‘hate crime’ after a travellers’ activist complained about an episode which incited ‘racism’ against gipsies.

Regular readers may also remember the arrest of a beach bar singer on the Isle of Wight for the heinous offense of performing Kung Fu Fighting, the 1974 novelty hit by Karl Douglas. Police said they were acting on a complaint from a man of Chinese origin who had taken offense at the lyrics.

So far, so funny.

OK so at this point you’re wondering who the heck is Basil Brush. I had to look it up cos I’d never heard of him.
Well ... here’s what Littlejohn was referring to.

Basil Brush show racism row ends

image

Officers investigating an episode of TV programme The Basil Brush Show after a complaint of racism have said they will take no further action.

A member of the public reported a scene which showed a Gypsy woman trying to sell Basil Brush heather and pegs.

Northamptonshire Police received a complaint about the repeat episode of the children’s programme broadcast on digital channel CBBC.

Police said the complaint had been concluded without any arrests.

On Sunday, a Northamptonshire police spokesman, said: “The complaint was logged as an incident of a racist nature and our hate crimes unit is investigating.”

Basil Brush, who appears on morning TV show Saturday Swap Shop on BBC2 first appeared in the 1960s and is well known for his catchphrase, “Boom Boom”.

The programme has also been released on DVD.

Back to Littlejohn, different subject same pc lunacy

A vast bureaucracy now exists to police the language, to appease those who declare themselves offended and to punish transgressors who fall foul of the latest zealously enforced orthodoxy

One of the first acts of Tom Tugendhat, recently elected Tory MP for Tonbridge, Edenbridge and Malling, has been to complain about a ‘homophobic’ street name in Sevenoaks, Kent.

He has taken up the cudgels on behalf of a homosexual couple, Philip Tucker and his husband Ian, who are outraged at a cul-de-sac on a new housing estate being called Bangays Way. They claim the name is ‘pretty offensive’ and want it changed.

The road is named in memory of Frank Bangay, a well-known parish councillor who died in 1999.

image

Mr Tugendhat says his constituents wouldn’t mind if the road was called Frank Bangay Way. It’s the ‘s’ they object to. Philip Tucker said: ‘Many roads are named after local families but only one has got an ‘s’ on the end.’

However, the council points out that the name honours the contribution the entire Bangay family have made to the community over the years. The family name dates back to the 16th century.

Meanwhile, in late-breaking news, LGBT activists last night launched a campaign to change the name of Offa’s Dyke...

Offa’s Dyke is a large linear earthwork that roughly follows the current border between England and Wales. The structure is named after Offa, the 8th century king of Mercia, who is traditionally believed to have ordered its construction. Wikipedia

Queers will not be happy till all the rest of us are all as queer and politically correct as they are. That way, there will no longer be anything to offend them. But .... what then? With nothing to offend or change that might offend them, they might die of boredom.

happy talk from lib but it’s still all bs!

In a few days time there will be a major election here to decide the govt. for the next five years.

For months now, the various scoundrels running for office have been making ever more promises on all manner of things. It just seems like as soon as one comes up with a promise to hold up the sky so it doesn’t fall, someone else tops even that with some other grand scheme and frankly they’re all piss ants.  Except for a couple perhaps.  Even the green party has a candidate with a following and in what passed for a recent debate on TV among the ppl running, there must have been 4 or 5 different parties represented on that stage.  And one party, the SNP of Scotland, is not open to votes by English citizens. There was also a lady from a tiny party in Wales.

Election 2015: Despite the flaws, our political system has much to be proud of - especially when compared to many other nations

For all the grumbling, our country is a pretty well-governed place

By Ian Birrell

all the rest

That’s the headline, can’t say it wasn’t interesting but.

What caught most of my attention was the following few lines.

Step back from the froth and fury of the electoral fight.

Then consider why people risk their lives to come here, why our values are globally admired and why our flag has usurped the Stars and Stripes as the coolest such icon. I remember last year that beside the Crimean parliament seized by Russian special forces was a shop with mannequins in the window wearing Union Jack underwear.

I’m not too certain what flag underwear prove, but Mr. Birrell seems to have missed a bit with regard to people risking lives to come here. If Brit values are admired, I doubt that thousands of illegals trying to gain entry not just to the UK, but specific parts of Europe, do so because they have any idea what those values might be. Half of them may not even be able to read, at least not the languages of the several nations they invade every week.  Over 5,000 of them were most unfortunately saved from drowning just over the weekend.  I very much doubt western values play any part in their most unwelcome intrusion on civilization.

If my flag isn’t an icon for those folks, that’s a good thing.  I’d be quite happy if none of them ever heard of the USA.  And there are a large number of Brits who wish they’d never heard of the UK as well.  But in this politically correct world, those opinions don’t count.  The truth doesn’t matter, which is that uncontrolled immigration has caused great stress on all services and they are a curse.

The left keeps telling us how much immigration had aided and advanced the cultures they overrun.  Uh huh.  What the left will never admit to is that the kind of immigrants arriving uninvited and mostly illegally these days, are not the same sort who did migrate once and came here with skills and education.  To be certain, that isn’t true of all of the past immigrants. But it’s true of a larger number than we see these days.  As well, in former times when it was found that foreign criminals had managed to sneak through, they were deported quickly without having to answer to a court in another country, and remain in the host country at public expense for years and years and years.

OK so with apologies to Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein and Josh Logan who wrote the book with Oscar Hammerstein for SOUTH PACIFIC,

I dedicate the following to the libtards and especially Mr Birrell.

“Happy Talk keep talking happy talk”

Talk about welfare give-a-way

Lose your country too

to those don’t like you

feel free to add your own

I hate when this happens

College Life: Fake Hate Crimes

( fake rape accusations too, sometimes even published in Rolling Stone magazine! )

George Washington University (“the Harvard of safety schools,” as alumnus Dan Foster calls it) has a swastika problem.

This goes back a ways. In 2007, a Jewish student, Sarah Marshak, reported that her dorm-room door had been defaced with swastikas, and she complained that the university was doing too little to investigate. But the university was in fact investigating thoroughly — it had, ridiculously enough, gone as far as consulting the FBI — and its sneakily hidden surveillance cameras recorded the vandal in action. No points for guessing that the malefactor was Sarah Marshak.

Recently, somebody drew swastikas on the wall of a GWU dormitory. Whether that is the work of another hoax artist or a genuine free-range national-socialist graffitist is unknown, but the school’s students have an unproud history of faking hate crimes. A group of left-wing students some years back drew up a phony anti-Muslim flier that was falsely attributed to a conservative group, the Young America’s Foundation, in an attempt to smear the organization as racist.

...

Fake hate crimes, like false rape accusations, now are a regular part of college life, and they serve the same purpose: a pretext for terrorizing unpopular individuals and organizations.

The hoaxers rarely if ever endure any serious punishment. Punishment is reserved for the innocent.

Or the mostly innocent. Given the low intellectual climate on George Washington’s campus, the Jewish student returning from a trip to India with a Hindu symbol of auspiciousness — the Sanskrit word is svastika — surely must have known what he might be stirring when he tacked it up on the bulletin board belonging to his Jewish fraternity. He has been expelled from the fraternity and banished from the campus, and probably will be expelled from the university. Compare that with the treatment of “Jackie,” the University of Virginia student whose manufactured tale of a brutal gang rape sent that campus into convulsions — nothing happened. The student who originally complained about the swastika retracted his complaint after learning that the iconography in question was Hindu rather than Nazi — that he’d assumed the wrong kind of Aryan — but none of that matters to university administrators.

Campus “hate speech’” and “hate crimes” are often phony, ginned up to “raise awareness”. Sometimes they’re just the result of stupid. Sometimes they are real. But there are enough fake ones out there to make questioning the validity of any new ones mandatory, and that itself is a sad state of affairs.

the really stupid do manage to thrive. and that’s one thing that’s wrong with our world

I’ve ranted and bitched about the addition of the letters “ism” to almost everything these politically correct days.  And the addition of the term “phobia” attached to various words.  It’s always, without any exception, placed there by the loony damn left and taken up by the press. Always pisses me off and we all know those terms are used as verbal cudgels against conservatives and anyone who dares question the red rats on the left.

Well, today I ran into another new one, new to me and possibly you as well.
Just what the hell is a “Transphobic?” I never saw the word before today, never heard it spoken either.
So I looked it up.
I got the following definition.

“Unreasoning hostility, aversion, etc., toward transgender people”.

I guess I should have been able to figure that out .

Seems a PC head teacher decided that children as young as three years old, should be made to sign a pledge , “Not to use transphobic language in nursery school.”

Here’s the schmuck who thought it up.

image

And here’s the story.

We live in a very sickly world when ppl like her thrive.  And altho it isn’t a part of this article, how’s this for the same sort of distorted thought process.

After a spate of rapes, a killing or two and assaults, the police in one city thought they should offer young women some good advice.
They had posters made up suggesting to the ladies to not allow a friend to wander off alone. When you go out together, stay together, always have a companion.  Simple, innocent.  Innocent?  Well not quite according to the more militant sisterhood of femi Nazis.
They were highly critical of the police and said the posters were patronizing and actually anti female.

That’s our screwed up world ppl.
Anyway .... on with the latest phobia.

Parents anger after children as young as THREE told to sign contract promising not to use ‘transphobic language’ at nursery

· Turnham Primary School demands pupils sign ‘agreement’ before starting
· Includes line asking children to ‘refrain from using...transphobic language’
· Shocked parents say asking three-year-olds to sign agreement is ‘bonkers’
· Chairman of school’s governing body apologised for any offence caused

By Eleanor Harding, Education Correspondent For The Daily Mail

Children as young as three are being asked to sign a contract pledging not to use transphobic language at school.
The pledge is contained in a ‘home-school agreement’ which all children must sign before they start at Turnham Primary School in September.

The infants must also promise to refrain from using homophobic and racist phrases and to be tolerant of people with different sexual orientations and lifestyles. Each child must print their name and provide a signature to confirm that they understand their ‘responsibilities’ while attending the school.

It is understood that teachers at the South-East London school introduced the document to help stamp out playground prejudice against transgender people and a wide range of disabilities and cultures.

But yesterday the chairman of governors said that they knew nothing about the change to the contract, which was also dismissed as ‘bonkers’ by parents who said pre-school children could not be expected to understand such complex issues.

Yesterday, one mother said: ‘My son is three yet he is meant to pledge not to use “transphobic” language.

This just fills me with dread about what sort of politically correct, tick-box bureaucracy runs this school.

‘How am I meant to explain it to my three-year-old that he must sign on the dotted line not to do something which he is not even aware exists when he can barely hold a crayon?

CONTINUES

Sometimes I can taste her

New Poster For NYC Buses And Subway Trains

New Yorkers are used to aggressive advertising. Banners for breast implants. Billboards for condoms. But a federal judge’s ruling has opened the door for far more controversial posters on buses and subways across the city.

“Killing Jews is Worship that draws us close to Allah,” reads one such ad next to the image of a young man in a checkered headscarf. “That’s His Jihad. What’s yours?”

The poster is at the center of heated legal debate over public safety and free speech. On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge John Koeltl ruled that New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) cannot stop the controversial ad from running on scores of subway cars and buses.

The MTA has argued that the ad could incite violence against Jews, but Koeltl rejected that idea.

MTA officials “underestimate the tolerant quality of New Yorkers and overestimate the potential impact of these fleeting advertisements,” he ruled. “Moreover, there is no evidence that seeing one of these advertisements on the back of a bus would be sufficient to trigger a violent reaction. Therefore, these ads — offensive as they may be — are still entitled to First Amendment protection.”

In your face much? Could they make a clearer statement about their beliefs and intentions if they tried?

No.

Except they didn’t make this statement. Well, not in New York City and not in English. The quote is from some big-cheese mullah, and is a direct translation from Arabic of what he said on a Hamas sponsored TV show in Israel/Gaza.  It’s the kind of statement that people like him make all the time in that corner of the world. It’s the kind of statement that the vast majority of US media ignores. Nearly all of them. Such things do not exist! This breaks the “religion of peace” meme we must all swallow with a smile, therefore it can not be. It doesn’t exist if we never report it, so we make sure we never report it. ( If a tree falls in a forest, it makes no sound, because the MSM goes to great lengths to hide the fact that the forest is even there! )

As if you couldn’t tell, this is the work of Atlas Shrug’s “radical Zionist” Pamela Geller, and her group AFDI. The posters are a reality based push-back against the extremely soft “#myjihad” campaign being driven by CAIR, trying to water down the public’s perception of the concept. Granted, CAIR is not actually wrong; it is my understanding that “jihad” really can mean “personal striving” or “personal goal”, but what they portray is NOT the jihad being waged on the world theater.

image

A new ad campaign by the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) is being rolled out and being met with quite a bit of resistance. What’s the problem? Apparently it’s the exposure of what Islam means by the term “jihad” and the person behind it all is contributor to Freedom Outpost Pamela Geller, who is the founder of AFDI. The ads target the soft peddling of the now popular My Jihad ad campaign.

Geller’s new ads are a response to the #Myjihad ads that are sponsored by the Chicago branch of CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) which depict several presumed Muslims who are describing their “personal jihad.”

“The purpose of our campaign is to show the reality of Jihad, the root causes of terrorism. Using the exact quotes and text that they use,” Geller said.

Geller’s AFDI has already won two lawsuits under the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, including those which referenced Islamists as “savages” back in September 2012.

Each of the ads includes the tagline “That’s his Jihad. What’s yours?” Again, this is simply a response to CAIR’s ads which have similar tagline.

You go Pam.

And a Happy Independence Day to Israel, 67 years young this morning. Yom Haatzmaut they call it, with lots of parties and parades.

Islamic State is the most potent threat to the world since the Nazis.

I don’t follow nobel winners and I care less.  Nothing personal. Just a lack of interest.
I’d rather bug Drew with enticing photos which he correctly accused me of inciting him to follow up on.

That fun and the eye candy that usually follows is a nice diversion.
Then the real damn world just has to show itself.

This is a very interesting article by a sharp guy who knows what he’s talking about. Not that none of you were not aware, but the thing is, while he writes the following and every word true ..... the idiot enabling lefty libtards give aid and comfort.

Look at this .... and then catch the article that follows it.

This isn’t a short piece so I’ve cut it down but you don’t even need this little bit I know.
He says it well though.

A grotesque love of propaganda. Unspeakable barbarity. The loathing of Jews - and a hunger for world domination. In this stunning intervention, literary colossus V.S. NAIPAUL says ISIS is now the Fourth Reich

By V.s. Naipaul

The Nobel Prize-winning author V.S. Naipaul has warned that Islamic State are the most potent threat to the world since the Nazis.

In a hard-hitting article in today’s Mail on Sunday, the revered novelist brands the extremist Muslim organisation as the Fourth Reich, saying it is comparable to Adolf Hitler’s regime in its fanaticism and barbarity.
Calling for its ‘military annihilation,’ the Trinidadian-born British writer says IS is ‘dedicated to a contemporary holocaust’,
has a belief in its own ‘racial superiority,’ and produces propaganda that Goebbels would be proud of.

A long-term critic of Islam as a global threat, he also challenges those who say the extremists have nothing to do with the real religion of Islam, suggesting that the simplicity of some interpretations of the faith have a strong appeal to a minority.

The author of A House For Mr Biswas, who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2001, is known for his sharp views.

He has likened Tony Blair to a pirate whose socialist revolution had imposed a ‘plebeian culture’ on Britain and found himself embroiled in controversy in 2001 by comparing Islam to colonialism, saying the faith ‘has had a calamitous effect’ as converts must deny their heritage.

Imagine a world in which a young man is locked in a cage, has petrol showered over him and is set alight to be burnt alive.

Imagine the triumphant jeering of an audience that has gathered to witness this. Imagine, also, a 12-year-old child with elated determination on his features shooting at close range a kneeling man with his arms tied behind his back.

Then picture the spectacle of a hundred beheadings of victim after victim in humiliating uniforms, their hands and feet bound, kneeling with their backs to their black-robed executioners who wield knives to cut their throats as though they were sacrificial lambs.

The Mail onSunday

There has been a lot written by a number of ppl and a strong speech by the UK’s top law enforcement legal eagle.
A promise that this is it. No more BS (she didn’t actually use that term) but the idea is no more coddling of terrorists and hate preachers and no more of a lot of things. Well, I guess we’ll have to see just how many teeth the law really has.  And if England’s other capital across the channel called the European Court of Human Rights allows Brits to really come down like a ton of bricks on the muzzie filth in their midst.
So all that said, and with the media following every beheading and shooting and burning and terror caused by so many followers of the ROP,
along comes the fools and enablers and excuses such as, terrorism is actually the fault of the west and in particular the USA and the Brits and of course Israel. Can’t leave them out.
Along come these damn fools.

Oh ... and please may I remind our readers, this foul creature who hates the west so much and dislikes the UK so much, is supported by the Brit welfare system. He sure doesn’t hate that. He doesn’t even dislike it.

I hate to say this but I think you folks know it’s true.
If he were in the USA, even with all our guns in private hands, I don’t think anyone would try and take the bastard out.
Because he’d be protected by the same kind of lopsided insane criminal system. And this guy know well how to play the system against itself.
Kinda like Hitler did.

Oxford Union invites hate preacher Anjem Choudary to speak despite being on bail for being member of banned terror group

· Hate preacher Anjem Choudary invited to speak by debating society
· Said it would be a ‘great privilege’ to have Choudary as the star guest
· Got invite day before Theresa May announced crackdown on extremists

By Arthur Martin for the Daily Mail

The notorious rabble rouser received his invitation from the debating society a day before Home Secretary Theresa May announced a crackdown on Islamic extremists.

The letter said it would be a ‘great privilege’ to have Choudary appear as the star guest.

Choudary, who once said that Woolwich terror victim Fusilier Lee Rigby would ‘burn in hellfire’, was even offered a choice of days on which to attend the debate entitled: This house believes that radicalism is born at home.

Britain’s most notorious hate preacher proudly showed off his invitation after launching a hate-filled rant against Western society outside the Houses of Parliament yesterday.

He said: ‘I am still on police bail after being arrested by Scotland Yard in September last year.

‘But the police can’t stop me from speaking. They can’t stop me from going to the Oxford Union where I’ve been invited to speak.’
He was one of nine men held in a series of co-ordinated dawn raids by counter terrorism police in September last year.

BBC - Get over Yourselves

A Fracas!

Corrosive loud mouth idiot Jeremey Clarkson suspended (yet again??) from Top Gear, the only show on BBC that actually makes them money.

Yes, but being a corrosive loud mouthed idiot is why we love him, and why the show is such a success. Take a Chill Pill, flush PC down the loo, and get out of his way.

Top Gear presenter Clarkson suspended over ‘fracas’

The BBC said it has suspended Jeremy Clarkson, the controversial host of popular motoring programme “Top Gear”, after he was involved in a “fracas” with a producer.

The outspoken 54-year-old presenter helped the show become the world’s most popular factual television programme, with 350 million viewers a week in 170 countries.

But he was on his final warning after a string of controversies including accusations he used racist language.

“Following a fracas with a BBC producer, Jeremy Clarkson has been suspended pending an investigation,” the BBC said in a statement. “No one else has been suspended.”

Magazine Radio Times said Clarkson was being accused of aiming a punch at a male producer in an incident that occurred last week but was reported to the BBC on Monday.

The broadcaster had earlier said “the BBC will be making no further comment at this time.”

No sooner had the suspension been announced than fans of Clarkson set up a petition to the BBC to re-instate him.

The online appeal, reading “We the undersigned petition the BBC to reinstate Jeremy Clarkson. Freedom to fracas”, quickly gained 30,000 signatures.

Clarkson has yet to comment on the incident, but in February he indicated he might have been unhappy with the show by tweeting:

“Wanted: new presenter for Top Gear. Applicant should be old, badly dressed and pedantic but capable of getting to work on time.”

...

“Top Gear” is one of the BBC’s biggest brands and is a major earner for the broadcaster, though it has been dogged by a series of scandals.

The show’s executive producer Andy Wilman described 2014 as “an annus horribilis” after accusations of racism and an incident in which the show’s crew were driven out of Argentina.

Protests broke out there over the number plate of a Porsche, “H982 FKL”, which was interpreted by some as a reference to the Falklands War between Britain and Argentina in 1982.

Clarkson was among those forced to abandon their vehicles after an angry crowd pelted the crew with stones, but the BBC denied the registration plate was intended as a deliberate provocation.

Most damaging for Clarkson have been accusations of racism while reciting an old nursery rhyme in leaked footage, something the presenter denied.

The show was censored by British broadcasting watchdog after a Clarkson comment as an Asian man crossed a bridge that was deemed racially offensive language by Ofcom.

“Top Gear” previously got into hot water over its depictions of Albanians, Romanians and Germans, and the BBC apologised to Mexico after the show described Mexicans as “lazy” and “feckless”.

Top Gear is one of the best things on TV, period. And Clarkson’s online essays are just as scathing and raucous. And simply superb.

I’m just relieved this was merely a fracas. Had it been a frumpus, the MOD would have been called out, and the entire cast and crew sent off to the Rainbow Ribbons Re-education Retreat.

Let’s face it, when you’ve got your own Lego kit and have shown up on Family Guy you’ve arrived and should thus be above the mundane BS that rules the rest of us little people.

What a bunch of berks.

$10,000.00 awarded somali pukes in fine against france, for violating pirate human rights

Have I bored anyone yet with my non stop (it seems) stories about the euro weenie court and their F****** human rights issues?  Even where NO humans are involved.

Well this one should wake you up.

Now I know for certain the extent to which that court has sunk into the muck of political correctness.

I swear to you I really am speechless here.  I want to write a thousands words and can’t come up with squat.
Just too damn angry at the stupidity.

H/T LiveLeak.com

European Court of “Human Rights” orders France to pay damages to Somali pirates

The European Court of Human Rights says France violated the rights of Somali pirates who had attacked French ships and has ordered compensation for them over judicial delays.

The nine Somali pirates should get thousands of euros because they were not immediately brought before a French judge, the court ruled.

One is to get 9,000 euros (£7,000) and the others sums of up to 7,000 euros.

The judges faulted France for keeping them in custody for an extra 48 hours.

The pirates had held French citizens hostage after seizing a French-flagged cruise ship and a French yacht in 2008.

The French military captured the pirates on the Somali coast in two operations, after the hostages had been released for ransoms of $2.1m (£1.3m) and $2m.

Indian Ocean shipping has been plagued by pirate gangs operating off Somalia in recent years, but international naval action in the region has sharply reduced the attacks.
Days in custody

Before transferring the pirates to France, the authorities held one group for four days and the others for six days and 16 hours.

But the extra 48 hours of custody on French soil violated the pirates’ right to liberty and security under the European Convention on Human Rights, the court ruled.

The convention’s Article 5.3 “was not designed to give the authorities the opportunity to intensify their investigations for the purpose of bringing formal charges against the suspects”, a court statement said.

The judges argued that the time between their arrest and transfer to France was already enough for France to draw up charges, instead of delaying for another 48 hours.

Court judgements are binding on signatories to the convention.

you couldn’t make it up …. a kiss too far for french feminists

Well, here we go again folks.

They never have enuff to bitch about and find fault with.  Never mind that in 1945 there were no femi-nazis to tell us it was an assault.

You will I am sure all recognize this famous photo.
Sure ya do. It was Times Square, 1945 when there were no porn stores and druggies panhandling in large numbers, and no politically correct images to avoid. There was Macy’s and Macy’s parades every year but alas ... (sarcasm) there were no parades to highlight how wonderful it was to declare oneself a homosexual. With pride yet. whoo-ha. Anyway ... I remember the great white way back then. I was there in 44 and 45 and went every Christmas up to about 53 I think.  But I have digressed. Sorry. Photo just brought back memories.

image

Well now ... here’s the story.

An artist in Florida named Seward Johnson made a statue of that moment in 1945.
Here it is.

image

But some folks are not happy.  Of course not. This minority group will decide for everyone, what constitutes good and bad, right and wrong.

The statue ‘Unconditional surrender’ by US artist Seward Johnson, is seen in the northwestern city of Caen on October 4, 2014.

The statue, inspired by the famous photograph made by US photographer Alfred Eisensteadt in New York’s Times square in 1945 at the end of WWII, has been drawing controversy since it appeared that the kiss might have been the result of a forceful action, and the French feminist association ‘ Osez le feminism’ (Dare Feminism), considering it as the representation of a sexual assault, denounced an inappropriate symbol for freedom and launched a petition for the statue to be removed.

Amazon issues totally stupid warning to buyers about racist tom and jerry animated cartoons

The world we live in today is populated by far more idiots than ever before.

Is that due to a greater world population?

Or is it due to far too many people with far too much time to look for things that are not there?

For certain it is due in large measure to an increase in the world’s population of,
left wing, do good (for their egos) ppl who think they are liberals, and are happy to tell the rest of us how to lead our lives and even how we should all think. Or what we ought to find funny and not so funny.

I’m disappointed in Amazon that they found it necessary to add a warning of race-ism, attached to a Tom & Jerry cartoon.  Apologize, apologize, apologize.

Gee, I guess I missed it when I was young and the message went over my head.

I never saw the race issue, never saw the cartoon thinking any less or thinking at all, about Negroes, as they were correctly known in those ancient times.

But the fact of the matter is, if the black cartoon character was portrayed as a stereotype, it’s honestly because in large measure there were many maids and servants of that day, who did speak and act in ways that set them apart as a group.  The many Eastern European Jews who came to the USA spoke with a funny accent, and there was a radio and later TV series based on a character called Molly Goldberg. And those folks also were a recognizable group.  There is no way I can write the way the Goldbergs spoke, but it was aways embarrassing.  So I guess I can understand some black folks being embarrassed and even offended by the way their people were portrayed.  But over time, things got to a politically correct point where simply having fun with a weird accent or stereotype automatically became a hateful thing.  And so some things became .... Isms. Nowadays we have all sorts of things invented by the left and they all carry an ism.
Whatever the left doesn’t want to see and hear or have anyone else see and hear and worse yet approve of, they simply attach an “ism” to it and it become something unacceptable and even carries the force of law in some places.

Tom and Jerry racist? No, the real bigots are those who want to rewrite history, writes sociology professor FRANK FUREDI

By Professor Frank Furedi For The Daily Mail

For more than 70 years, their cat-and-mouse capers have enthralled young people across the globe. Violent, hilarious and often somehow poignant, Tom and Jerry’s only crime has until now been to encourage children to watch tele-vision when they should have been doing their homework, tidying their bedrooms or performing some other worthwhile task.

This week, however, they fell foul of the censors at Amazon, which seems to have taken its lead from Cromwell’s Puritans. The company says Tom and Jerry cartoons must carry a warning that ‘they contain some ethnic and racial prejudices that were once commonplace in American society’.

The particular focus of Amazon’s reproach is the portrayal of the black maid in the cartoons, known as Mammy Two Shoes because only her lower half ever appears on the screen. Her character, apparently, is nothing more a crude racial stereotype. ‘Such depictions were wrong then and are wrong today,’ states Amazon.

There are those who have applauded the online retailer’s stance. Dr Birgitta Hosea, director of the animation master’s course at the University of the Arts in London, says: ‘Images like that are not OK. Children are at stake here. It is important that they get positive images of people and not just negative, “mammy” stereotypes of black women.’

Poor old Tom and Jerry. All they were trying to do was entertain us, but now the thought police have decided to impose their modern-day values on cartoons made decades ago.

On the surface, perhaps, this is a trivial affair. Why should Amazon not warn viewers that they may be offended by the depiction of Mammy Two Shoes? After all, she is the archetype of a black woman working for a white family from the southern U.S. in the mid-20th century, when such women did not have the vote.

Well, there are a number of reasons in my view.

To begin with, it is deeply patronising to suggest that modern-day families do not understand that they are watching historical cartoons, made when values were different. Are the censors really suggesting that, by watching Tom and Jerry, our children will turn out racist, believing that ‘Mammy Two Shoes’ is the norm?

image

More importantly, however, this is a worrying new example of the way history is being re-written by politically-correct know-alls who are so blinkered that they can only see things from their own perspective — which is, of course, a modern-day perspective. It is as if they are writing history back-to-front, imposing their own moral views on the past.

These people pose as the champions of children, arguing that by issuing their warnings of racism, they are offering them protection from encountering it.

But it’s hard not to believe that their real motive is to parade their own piety.

PC Will Be The Death Of US Military

Army Worried It Has Too Many White Officers

In remembrance of Joan Rivers, can we file this one under “Oh, just shut up.”?

Sociologists worry lack of black officers will have detrimental effect on minorities

U.S. Army sociologists are worried that a lack of black officers leading its combat troops will have detrimental effect on minorities and lead to fewer black officers in top leadership posts.

“The issue exists. The leadership is aware of it,” Brig. Gen. Ronald Lewis told USA Today on Thursday. “The leadership does have an action plan in place. And it’s complicated.”

The Army reports that only 10 percent of its active-duty officers are black, which has contributed to its dearth of black officers leading soldiers with occupational specialties in infantry, armor and artillery.

“It certainly is a problem for several reasons,” Col. Irving Smith, director of sociology at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, told USA Today. “First we are a public institution. And as a public institution we certainly have more of a responsibility to our nation than a private company to reflect it. In order to maintain their trust and confidence, the people of America need to know that the Army is not only effective but representative of them.”

...

Capt. Grancis Santana, 33, spoke to the paper and asserted that it wasn’t discrimination that was causing a lack of minority officers in key posts — the supply of desired soldiers in his military occupational specialty simply wasn’t there.

“It’s not a good feeling when you’re one of the few,” Capt. Santana told USA Today. “There was no discrimination; there are just not a lot of people like you.”

The paper also noted that of the 238 West Point graduates commissioned to be infantry officers in 2012, only seven were black. One of the Army’s plans for addressing the issue will be to put more emphasis on recruiting and mentoring minority officers.

Three or four points:

1) 10% isn’t that far from the 13%-17% we are told is black’s part of the overall population. 10% is a heck of a lot better than 0%, or even 5%.
2) All Marines are green. Not white, black, brown, olive, or pink. Soldiers are no different. The military promotes based on needs and competitive qualifications, not on Affirmative Action. Or at least they ought to.
3) Read between the lines. There is probably an overabundance of black officers (and troops) in the (REMF) background “occupational specialties” that don’t involve actual combat. Actually, I know this for a fact.
4) How long would this mentoring stuff last? Ok, sure, maybe they need to play catch-up Freshman year. Or as brand new 2nd LTs. But after that? At what point will they be expected to carry their weight? Because you absolutely can not make better officers by lowering the standards.

Anyone out there in uniform, or recently out of it, please sound off.
