Democrat Meltdown

Some of my picks for ‘must read’ articles today:

Democrats vote unanimously against the 1st amendment…

On June 18, when this proposed constitutional amendment came up in the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Sen. Ted Cruz did a simple thing: He offered an amendment to replace this amendment with the exact words of the First Amendment.

The subcommittee defeated the First Amendment. Every Democrat on the panel voting against it.

How Ted Cruz Exposed the Free-Speech Haters

seperator

Media pushes to eliminate the Constitution when Democrats lose.

How else to explain why the New York Times wants to forever cancel the midterm election. You read that right, cancel them. Outright. According to the Times, midterm elections no longer make sense. The problem is that the midterm electorate “has been whiter, wealthier, older and more educated than during presidential elections.”

Mind you, no one is stopping the non-white, non-old, or non-educated (i.e., Democrats) from voting in midterms.

Democrat Underground melts down. One example:

Unknown Beatle: “What the fuck is the matter with this nation? Things aren’t getting better, they’re getting worse, and as hard as we try and yell and cuss, no one is doing shit about all the criminality going on with the banks, politicians, and anyone that breaks the law as long as they’re filthy rich. I’m so fucking pissed off right now I can’t see straight. My blood pressure is sky high. I need to take it easy.”

Your guy has been in charge for the last six years. What an Idiot.

About those Democrat myths… This one’s my favorite.

3) An improving economy would limit Democrats’ losses. In the few places he felt confident and welcome enough to campaign, Obama devoted much of his appeal to citing the economic progress his administration has made: jobs created, growth, healthcare costs, corporate regulation.

The election results were pretty definitive proof that voters are not feeling the progress Obama feels has been made. Most importantly, it is an unhappy fact that a significant part of the decline in the unemployment rate under Obama has been the result of discouraged workers giving up the search for employment altogether. Indeed, in exit polls, nearly 70 percent of voters expressed negative feelings about the economy, many years into the Obama recovery.

Let’s see… jobs created? Just part-time jobs. Healthcare costs? Way up! Corporate regulation? Also way up. Not feelng that economic recovery here. To quote then Vice-Pres. candidate Algore, “Everything that should be up is down. Everything that should be down is up.”

Voters’ verdict explodes Democratic myths

Game Changer?

Oh noes!!! ISIS has MANPAD portable anti-aircraft missiles!!

Don’t worry, these aren’t any of the 20,000 old Soviet missiles stolen from Uncle Mohammar before he got butt raped to death.

Don’t worry, these aren’t any of the several hundred brand new missiles that Brock and Shrillary sent to the Libyan rebels that made a mysterious left turn in Qatar.

Worry, because somehow this bunch is Chinese made. But only worry a little bit.

The Islamic State seized half a billion dollars from Mosul’s central bank. Their daily revenues from seized oil fields are close to two million dollars. They captured American arms and weaponry “>and are using secured Chinese missile launchers.

They might be a game changer if we were playing the game. But we aren’t really. Sure, we’ve made hundreds of strikes against ISIS already. Riiight. A little bomb here, a half defused Hellfire there. While they use every weapon under the sun, including barrel bombs and poison gas.

With the dickless DC ditherer in charge, it’s going to be too little, not often enough, until it’s too late. Because that’ what he wants. Another loss for the US, another win for his jihad buddies.

Well, No Kidding

As the Obola Regime starts to finally unravel, and the somnambulent Oedipal press finally wakes up and starts playing angry CYA, I think we’re going to see an awful lot of these.

Well, no kidding. Oh course she is. All part of the same problem. And hanging is the cure.

Valerie Jarrett Key Player in Fast and Furious Cover-Up After Holder Lied to Congress

President Obama’s trusted senior advisor, Valerie Jarrett, was a key player in the effort to cover up that Attorney General Eric Holder lied to Congress about the Fast and Furious scandal, according to public records obtained by Judicial Watch.

The information is part of a Department of Justice (DOJ) “Vaughn index” detailing records about the gun-running operation known as Fast and Furious. JW had to sue the agency for the records after the Obama administration failed to provide them under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). A federal court ordered the DOJ to provide the records over the agency’s objections. Yesterday JW reported on the broad information in the records, including that Obama asserted executive privilege for Holder’s wife as part of the administration’s efforts to cover up the scandal.

Practically lost in the 1,000-plus pages of records is an index that shows Jarrett was brought in to manage the fact that Holder lied to Congress after the story about the disastrous gun-running operation broke in the media.

blah blah blah. bored now. Sorry. No really I’m glad you dug out the information, I’m glad the truth is finally coming to light. But we figured out all of this 5 years ago, and connected all the dots. He’s a guilty lying bastard, which means she is, and him above her. Plus that department, that one, that one over there, that one too, and that one. It will all come out, someday. But we saw it all then. Which lead to us being labeled right wing extremists, and we woke up one day to find that the FBI considered us nearly terrorists. So don’t mind me, I’ll just take a seat here by the fire, and watch you all slowly roast. And then someday twist in the breeze as the crows come to call.

So when it’s time for the executions, give me a call. I’d like to volunteer to pull the lever. Or the trigger.

Right On

doo doo doot do doo ... I’m lovin’ it!™

Obama makes rare campaign trail appearance, people leave early

President Barack Obama made a rare appearance on the campaign trail on Sunday with a rally to support the Democratic candidate for governor in Maryland, but early departures of crowd members while he spoke underscored his continuing unpopularity.

With approval levels hovering around record lows, Obama has spent most of his campaign-related efforts this year raising money for struggling Democrats, who risk losing control of the U.S. Senate in the Nov. 4 midterm election.

Most candidates from his party have been wary of appearing with him during their election races because of his sagging popularity.

Obama with Maryland governor candidate Brown and the heavily diverse crowd who left early

The magic that President Obama once enjoyed at political rallies appears to have vanished into thin air, as a crowd of spectators walked out on the president during a speech for Democrats Sunday in Maryland.

During an appearance for Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown, who is running for governor of Maryland, “early departures of crowd members while he spoke underscored his continuing unpopularity,” reported Reuters.

A steady stream of people walked out of the auditorium while he spoke,” the wire service noted, “and a heckler interrupted his remarks.”

Par For The Course

Obola Golfs Half The Day Then Attends Ebola Meeting

New Ebola Czar Skips The Meeting, 2nd Miss In 2 Days

President Barack Obama’s new Ebola “czar” Ron Klain has skipped another White House meeting on the Ebola crisis, a readout of who attended a Saturday meeting with Obama shows.

Obama held the Ebola meeting after spending four hours and 40 minutes on the golf course at Fort Belvoir, according to the White House press pool report from the New York Daily News’ Dan Friedman.

...

Klain, who was appointed Ebola Czar on Friday by Obama, is not on this list. It’s the second meeting in as many days on Ebola that Klain hasn’t attended after being appointed into the position on Friday.

Turd Polish

It is to laugh, because there’s less clean up versus throwing up.

Look how the NY Times lays cover for Captain Clueless.

WASHINGTON — Beneath the calming reassurance that President Obama has repeatedly offered during the Ebola crisis, there is a deepening frustration, even anger, with how the government has handled key elements of the response.

Those frustrations spilled over when Mr. Obama convened his top aides in the Cabinet room after canceling his schedule on Wednesday. Medical officials were providing information that later turned out to be wrong. Guidance to local health teams was not adequate. It was unclear which Ebola patients belonged in which threat categories.

“It’s not tight,” a visibly angry Mr. Obama said of the response, according to people briefed on the meeting. He told aides they needed to get ahead of events and demanded a more hands-on approach, particularly from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “He was not satisfied with the response,” a senior official said.

The difference between the public and private messages illustrates the dilemma Mr. Obama faces on Ebola — and a range of other national security issues — as he tries to galvanize the response to a public health scare while not adding to the sense of panic fueled by 24-hour cable TV and the nonstop Twitter chatter.

On Friday, Mr. Obama took a step to both fix that response and reassure the public, naming Ron Klain, a former aide to Vice President Joseph R. Biden, to coordinate the government’s efforts on Ebola

Right, so giving the job to Al Gore’s chief chad counter, a guy with ZERO medical training, will nip this one in the bud for sure. Blatant political payback, and a typical breaking of traditional channels and roles.

But at this point, even the utterly sycophant Times is having trouble, and the cracks are starting to show ...

For two turbulent weeks, White House officials have sought to balance those imperatives: insisting the dangers to the American public were being overstated in the news media, while also moving quickly to increase the president’s demonstration of action.

In other words, lying to us on one hand, while on the other trying to make it look like the Golfer In Chief has a clue, gives a shit, and is actually paying attention.  In other words, lying to us on BOTH hands.

As the White House scrambled to stop the spread of Ebola beyond a handful of cases, officials were also grappling with an escalating military campaign against the Islamic State, the specter of a new Cold War with Russia over Ukraine, and the virtual disintegration of Yemen, which has been a seedbed for Al Qaeda.

Yeah, Yemen is falling apart, going to Hellena Handbasket. The rebels are winning, although who the hell the rebels are or who they side with is beyond me. But whenever the news goes into Smoke Mode, you know there are Mirrors at work, and this may be one of those nasty situations that always happen when we’re looking the other way. When Yemen goes, Al Q /ISIS benefits, and Saudi Arabia finds themselves nearly surrounded by terrorists (Egypt, Sudan, Yemen, Iraq, Qatar??) that they don’t control. Ruh roh!!

Lady, You’re Fired

Secret Service Head Gets The Axe

metaphorically anyway. this isn’t ISIS. not yet.

Julia Pierson, the first female director of the Secret Service, resigned her post Wednesday after a fence jumper gained access to the White House on Sept. 19 and a subsequent congressional inquiry uncovered other security lapses.

Homeland Security Director Jeh Johnson announced the resignation in a statement. He also announced that the DHS would take over an internal inquiry of the Secret Service and that he would appoint of a new panel to review security at the White House.

Joseph Clancy, formerly a special agent in charge of the Presidential Protective Division of the Secret Service, was named Interim Director, Johnson said in his statement.

Calls for Pierson to leave her post grew after a poor performance during her testimony on Capitol Hill and another bombshell revelation that the an armed contractor was allowed to get into an elevator with the president during a recent trip to the Centers for Disease Control.

Even some high ranking Democrats had turned against Pierson, who has been in the job for fewer than two years. In an interview on Wednesday Rep. Elijah Cummings, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, where the hearing took place, said he thinks Pierson: who he referred to as “this lady” “has to go.” Cummings reiterated this stance in an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer. “I want her to go if she cannot restore trust in the agency and if she cannot get the culture back in order,” he said.

Secret Service director testimony omits elevator incident with Obama

And Chuck Schumer, the third ranking Democrat in the Senate announced he would call for Pierson’s resignation on Wednesday as well, though that was later canceled.

Republicans had also called for Pierson to step down.

Golly, if all it takes to get fired is to have somebody jump a fence, why do we still have any employees in the Border Patrol?

(notice how CNN “forgets” to say how the armed contractor was a felon ...

An agency official confirmed the incident to CNN in which a security contractor operating an elevator at the CDC was carrying a gun in the presence of Obama and his Secret Service detail. The contractor was taking pictures of the President and otherwise behaving in an unprofessional manner, the official said. When the security worker was confronted about his behavior, it was revealed that he was armed.
...
“I believe the President’s security was unnecessarily compromised,” Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, told CNN. “A convict with a gun in an elevator with the President put his life in danger. The Director should have informed the President, yet she testified she did not. Did she lie to Congress or fail to inform the President?”

... oh, no worries, it’s Ok because he was black. Not that his being armed, even on the job, was legal anywhere, much less in DC)

Right, so now we need another token to run this agency. Let’s a transgender Native Alaskan this time, how about it?

Not Even Half There

Forty Two Percent

Obama’s attendance rate at the daily intelligence briefings, since becoming pResident

6 out of 10 times, he isn’t even there. And it’s been like that since the beginning. Brudda juss be fonin it in.

A new Government Accountability Institute (GAI) report reveals that President Barack Obama has attended only 42.1% of his daily intelligence briefings (known officially as the Presidential Daily Brief, or PDB) in the 2,079 days of his presidency through September 29, 2014.

The GAI report also included a breakdown of Obama’s PDB attendance record between terms; he attended 42.4% of his PDBs in his first term and 41.3% in his second.

The GAI’s alarming findings come on the heels of Obama’s 60 Minutes comments on Sunday, wherein the president laid the blame for the Islamic State’s (ISIS) rapid rise squarely at the feet of his Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

“I think our head of the intelligence community, Jim Clapper, has acknowledged that I think they underestimated what had been taking place in Syria,” said Obama.

According to Daily Beast reporter Eli Lake, members of the Defense establishment were “flabbergasted” by Obama’s attempt to shift blame.

Either the president doesn’t read the intelligence he’s getting or he’s bullshitting,” a former senior Pentagon official “who worked closely on the threat posed by Sunni jihadists in Syria and Iraq” told the Daily Beast.

Actually, this news report doesn’t tell the whole story; the official government report shows that in 2012 Obama only made a third of his briefings, 34.2%. And so far in 2014 he’s batting 37.5%. Pretty damning if you ask me. He doesn’t seem to be trying that hard at all. It’s as if running the world was something left to Valerie Jarret to do, while he plays golf and does fundraisers ( a recent statistic shows that Obama has done a fundraiser on average every 5 days since moving into the White House ).

On Monday, others in the intelligence community similarly blasted Obama and said he’s shown longstanding disinterest in receiving live, in-person PDBs that allow the Commander-in-Chief the chance for critical followup, feedback, questions, and the challenging of flawed intelligence assumptions.

“It’s pretty well-known that the president hasn’t taken in-person intelligence briefings with any regularity since the early days of 2009,” an Obama national security staffer told the Daily Mail on Monday. “He gets them in writing.”

The Obama security staffer said the president’s PDBs have contained detailed threat warnings about the Islamic State dating back to before the 2012 presidential election.

Right, in writing. No chance for questions, clarification, anything. Just check off the boxes and get a C+ for attendance.

Looks like our Joy From Illinois is still just voting Present.

Obama Admits A Mistake

Yeah, that’s headline news all by itself. Mr. Perfect says “we were wrong”. Granted, he’s sharing the blame. But it’s a first step. And he doesn’t even blame Bush.

Obama: US Underestimated ISIS

Guess they weren’t so “JV” after all.

President Obama acknowledged Sunday that U.S. intelligence officials “underestimated" the threat posed by the Islamic State and overestimated the Iraqi army’s capacity to defeat the militant group.

The president said in an wide-ranging interview on CBS’ “60 Minutes” that the Islamic State militants went “underground” after being squashed in Iraq and regrouped under the cover of the Syrian civil war.

“During the chaos of the Syrian civil war, where essentially you have huge swaths of the country that are completely ungoverned, they were able to reconstitute themselves and take advantage of that chaos,” Obama said.

The president said his director of national intelligence, James Clapper, has acknowledged that the U.S. “underestimated what had been taking place in Syria.” He also said it was “absolutely true” that the U.S. overestimated the ability and will of the Iraqi army.

Oh, so it was the entire country that was wrong. That means Obama is only 1/310,000,000 at fault. Phew, for a minute there I thought he was going to say 4 Hail Marys and perform an act of contrition. Who am I kidding?

However, Obama also acknowledged that the U.S. is dealing with a conundrum in Syria, as the U.S.-led military campaign against the Islamic State is helping Syrian President Bashar Assad, whom the U.N. has accused of war crimes.

I recognize the contradiction in a contradictory land and a contradictory circumstance,” Obama said. “We are not going to stabilize Syria under the rule of Assad,” whose government has committed “terrible atrocities.”

However, Obama called the threat from the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL, and other terror groups a more “immediate concern that has to be dealt with.”

“On the other hand, in terms of immediate threats to the United States, ISIL, Khorasan Group—those folks could kill Americans,” he said.

Oh right, it’s a puzzle, surrounded by a mystery, and wrapped in an  enema  enigma. Or maybe a tortilla. Gosh, nobody can figure this out. Nobody!  And naturally, we have to hear “Khorasan” again, his own new favorite sub-terrorist splinter splinter cell. OMG, this guy sings about his Khorasan more than a Mexican crooner ("mi corazón").

And I shouldn’t mention it, but I’m pretty certain that the entire US military said that the Iraqi army wasn’t worth jack if left to themselves and allowed to go all tribal again. Which they did, the day after Obongogongo pulled all our troops out, while praising himself mightily. And when the untrained bunch, who coincidentally were the wrong flavor of jizzlam, ran like hell at the sound of gunfire ... well, that was Maliki’s fault, right?

So what’s his strategy to deal with this latest powerful and mysterious enemy?

Blow up grain silos!!

U.S-led raids hit grain silos in Syria

U.S.-led air strikes hit grain silos and other targets in Islamic State-controlled territory in northern and eastern Syria overnight, killing civilians and wounding militants, a group monitoring the war said on Monday.

The aircraft may have mistaken the mills and grain storage areas in the northern Syrian town of Manbij for an Islamic State base, said the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. There was no immediate comment from Washington.

That’ll leave a mark!

hopefully true, but totally accurate

In My Inbox, a classic meme

Some possess the vocabulary to sum things up in a way we can understand. This is a quote from the former Premier of the Czech Republic. Obviously, we have a lot of work to do to repair the damage they’ve done.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their President.”

Doc sent around this iteration, attributed to former Czech Republic President Václav Klaus. Wonderful words, but the core of the quotation goes back further, to 2009 or perhaps even earlier, with the original addendum of

The sad part is he’s only been in office one year. I can’t imagine what the next three will bring.

In the long run, it does not matter much who first penned this thought. It’s one we’ve all had countless times.

The prince of fools.

The father of lies.

The baby-daddy of detached self-aggrandizing narcissism.

I could go on, but I’m running out of terms for relations, and none of it is relative at all. It’s all directly attributable.

And anyone who bothered to look saw it coming back in 2008. Remember the halo pictures? Remember the Athenian columns at the nomination? Remember the “Office of the President Elect”? Remember “In 5 days, when I begin my rule ...”? Remember how the earth would heal and the seas roll back?

What egotistical arrogance; chutzpah at a level rarely seen in human history.

Finally, In No Uncertain Terms

“The Utter Failure of Obama”

Barack Obama is destined to be the greatest flop in American presidential history.  He is, in every sense of the word, an utter failure.
...
This political hack, who had the power to do anything during his first two years, could think of nothing more imaginative than (1) spending federal dollars like water based upon the ancient and failed “stimulus” idea and (2) implementing an even greater failure – ask any Briton or Canadian – of nationalized health insurance [that the majority of Americans didn’t want]
...
Obama, who “won” the Nobel Peace Prize almost as soon as he took office, is now officially a warmonger president [started 2 wars of his own without Congressional approval, lost 2 others that were won or nearly won. 2 and counting!]
...
Does Obama have the slightest ennobling quality?  Has he taken a single courageous stand on anything?
...

Hey, don’t forget Cash for Clunkers, the ultra-extended anti-foreclosure rules against banks in the Democrat driven Mortgage Crisis, the Beer Summit, and the dozens of other clown pratfalls brought to you by this administration. Not to mention the Big Brother level of spying on the citizens, all the “not a crisis” crises that should have lead to impeachment, the end runs around the constitution, leveraging Chief Justice Roberts to make him flip on O’care, and all the nearly daily dirty little deeds, crimes, and misdemeanors. Like arming terrorists and paying their salaries. Not to mention his total ass-hattery regarding energy policy, eg Keystone, coal industry, Solyndra, etc. Plus the hundreds of people thrown “under the bus”. Just remember, in the long run, it’s all Bush’s fault.

And he still hasn’t closed Gitmo!

It’s a nice 3 minute read. Too bad it’s not the headline article in USA Today and the NY Times.

We Are All The Problem, Not Him

a man who believes that his failures are not the problem ...

... It’s other people becoming aware of those failures that concerns him and forces him into addressing them. ISIS isn’t the problem: America is.

ISIS is to Obama as Monica was to Bill Clinton. They’re both the dirty little secrets of powerful men that they did everything possible to hide. And once that was no longer an option, they quibbled over words.

Denial only works until reality forcibly intrudes. Even with a friendly media, the philandering of the President of the United States couldn’t continue indefinitely. And even with a friendly media, the rise of a new generation of Al Qaeda after the Arab Spring wouldn’t stay buried in the back pages forever.

It was only a matter of time until everyone knew.

A nice little essay on the denial of reality over at Sultan Knish.

Because He Thinks You Are That Stupid

Slap in the face, much?

image

Good God. Ka-Boom backpacks? Backpacks full of Ka-Boom? On 9/11.

I guess they couldn’t get that Tamerlan Tsarnaev kid to attend.

I can’t believe nobody thought about the “visuals”. This was done on purpose. Because to them it’s funny. +100 points for the irony. And it’s another stick in the eye to America, hardy har har.

No, it doesn’t make any difference that this KaBoom is some kind of national network that builds play areas for poor kids, instead of that other Kaboom, the horrible chemical saturated clown cereal from the 80s. The cereal of the defeated.  Both of them use the sound of explosions as their name.

Explosions. Like backpack bombs at marathons. Or jets flying into buildings. “KaBoom volunteers” ... you know ... suicide bombers.

This is taking tacky to a level previously unknown in all human history.

Oh, and PS: the Boston mosque where the Marathon bomber attended is chock full of terrorists, with ties to ISIS.

And I’m still not sure why 9/11 is supposed to be a day of national service, but I guess that doesn’t really hurt anything. As long as you don’t loose the memory of that day. But for today’s teens, is it anything more than Arbor Day on a grander scale?
