Shamelessly stolen from Vilmar

I was thinking as I watched this: Christians are really tolerant. I’m Christian, and I was laughing at this video. Despite the fact that this guy is part of Richard Dawkins network. I’m perfectly able to laugh at myself and my beliefs.

Now, tell me, where are the Muslim comedians lampooning Mohammed? Don’t see/hear any do you? That’s because there’s nothing funny about murder and pedophilia. Mohammed engaged in both.

Islam is not a religion. It’s a fascist political movement.

The World Turned Upside Down

UN Elects Iran to Commission on Women’s Rights

imageimageimage

Without fanfare, the United Nations this week elected Iran to its Commission on the Status of Women, handing a four-year seat on the influential human rights body to a theocratic state in which stoning is enshrined in law and lashings are required for women judged “immodest.”

Just days after Iran abandoned a high-profile bid for a seat on the U.N. Human Rights Council, it began a covert campaign to claim a seat on the Commission on the Status of Women, which is “dedicated exclusively to gender equality and advancement of women,” according to its website.

Buried 2,000 words deep in a U.N. press release distributed Wednesday on the filling of “vacancies in subsidiary bodies,” was the stark announcement: Iran, along with representatives from 10 other nations, was “elected by acclamation,” meaning that no open vote was requested or required by any member states—including the United States.

Iran’s elevation to the commission comes as a black eye just days after the U.S. helped lead a successful effort to keep Iran off the Human Rights Council, which is already dominated by nations that are judged by human rights advocates as chronic violators of essential freedoms. The current membership of the women’s commission is little different.

Though it touts itself as “the principal global policy-making body” on women’s rights, the makeup of the commission is mostly determined by geography and its membership is a hodge-podge of some human rights advocates (including the U.S., Japan, and Germany) and other nations with stark histories of rights violations.

The number of seats on the commission is based on the number of countries in a region, no matter how small their populations or how scant their respect for rights. The commission is currently made up of 13 members from Africa, 11 from Asia, nine from Latin America and the Caribbean, eight from Western Europe and North America, and four from Eastern Europe.

This announcement comes less than 48 hours after Iran’s latest female-woman-hater’s-club idiocy: Flog the evil women who have suntans!!!!!!!!!1111eleventy!!!!11

Wassamatta UN, couldn’t you find a place in your commission for Sudan?

Will we ever be rid of this rat infested bunch of dirtbags?

US out of UN! UN out of US! Jizzlam delenda est!!

No Flags Flying

Obama On Haiti: American Flag “Too Provocative”

big_us_flag

under this banner Haitians know

good food and medical care await

After Haiti’s devastating earthquake last January, Americans showed their incredible generosity by donating money, resources and manpower to help the victims of the natural disaster and to help Haiti recover.

U.S. Air Force air operations specialists and FAA air-traffic controllers managed air traffic at Haiti’s main airport, facilitating the logistics of getting humanitarian aid coming into the country. More than 12,000 U.S. military personnel supported relief operations.

Except for the usual left-wing nuts and a disgruntled French minister who accused the U.S. military of ”occupying” Haiti during the initial chaotic days of the relief effort, few people – including the Haitians themselves – saw the actions of the U.S. as anything but humanitarian in nature.

Nevertheless, the Obama administration decided that there should be no American flag flying at our main installation near the Port-au-Prince airport because it would appear too provocative.  As explained by the U.S. government’s Haiti Joint Information Center in response to a question about the missing flag:

We are not here as an occupation force, but as an international partner committed to supporting the government of Haiti on the road to recovery

Taking down the American flag is just another example of President Obama’s humiliate-America policies.  We are an exceptionally generous country and should be proud of who we are, wherever we are.

Obama. He just doesn’t get it, does he? No ... he gets it alright ... he’s just against it. Pride, nationalism, international awareness of our good works, you name it. America is what he’s ashamed of, not what he or his wife are ever proud of.

That Ain’t Right

UN Budget: $732 Million For “Peacekeeping” In Haiti

The United Nations has quietly upped this year’s peacekeeping budget for earthquake-shattered Haiti to $732.4 million, with two-thirds of that amount going for the salary, perks and upkeep of its own personnel, not residents of the devastated island.

The world organization plans to spend the money on an expanded force of some 12,675 soldiers and police, plus some 479 international staffers, 669 international contract personnel, and 1,300 local workers, just for the 12 months ending June 30, 2010.

Some $495.8 million goes for salaries, benefits, hazard pay, mandatory R&R allowances and upkeep for the peacekeepers and their international staff support. Only about $33.9 million, or 4.6 percent, of that salary total is going to what the U.N. calls “national staff” attached to the peacekeeping effort.

Presumably, the budget also includes at least part of some $10 million that the U.N. has spent on renting two passenger vessels, the Sea Voyager (known to some U.N. staffers as the “Love Boat") and the Ola Esmeralda, for a minimum of 90 days each, as highly subsidized housing for some of its peacekeepers and humanitarian staff. The tab for the two vessels, which offer catered food, linen service and comfortable staterooms and lounges, is about $112,500 per day.

Under a cost-sharing formula, the U.S. pays a 27 percent share of the entire $732.4 million peacekeeping tab for Haiti during this 12 month period, or about $197.7 million.

That adds up to more than 15,000 “peacekeepers”. That’s an army. I think that’s more troops than we had in Afghanistan a year ago, and we’re fighting a war there.

I think we should all be referring to the place as “occupied Haiti”. Not that anyone in or out of their right mind would want to invade the place. Not a chance. So these “peacekeepers” are doing what then? Protecting the Haitians from themselves? In their own country?? Or perhaps they are protecting all the pushy aid workers from the Haitians that might not like the way that these tens of thousands of foreigners are doing whatever they want to, in rebuilding and changing their country? Somebody explain to me why Haiti needs any peacekeepers at all.

I’ll be the first to speak the obvious: Haiti is a mess. A world of hurt. A rolling, never ending disaster, largely self-inflicted. But I didn’t think they needed saving from themselves by an army of occupation. This rather looks like the Imperial UN to me.

Free Haiti!

EARTH HOUR IS ONLY MINUTES AWAY HERE IN UK AS MILLIONS OF IDIOTS BUY INTO JUNK SCIENCE

An article appeared in the Sat. Times which isn’t available (that I can find) saying this even will actually use up more energy and cause larger emissions. HA!

First of all .... Please go and turn on extra lights in your house for the next hour. Screw these jerks.  I already have every light in the house on as I write.

Experts say that the great switch off will not result in less energy being pumped into grids. But that when everythings gets turned back on, there will be an increase. Also they say that the upsurge in turning the lights back on one hour later will require power stations that can fire up quickly such as coal and oil. The experts say that the result will be an increase rendering all good intentions useless. HA once again.  These comments appeared under a headline which read, “Costly way to save the earth.”

OK, that’s it. Go turn on those extra lights.

Landmarks go dark, millions unplug for Earth Hour

By ROHAN SULLIVAN (AP) – 7 hours ago

SYDNEY — The white-shelled roof of the Sydney Opera House fell dark Saturday night, one of the first landmarks to turn out the lights in an hour-long gesture to be repeated by millions of people around the world who are calling for a binding pact to cut greenhouse gas emissions.

Asian cities followed Australia and New Zealand as the fourth annual Earth Hour cranked up. Buildings in some 4,000 cities in more than 120 countries were expected to unplug to reduce energy consumption and draw attention to the dangers of climate change, according to organizers.

The event will roll across the world, with participants turning off the lights when the clock strikes 8:30 p.m. local time. From a shopping mall in Manila to the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Empire State Building in New York, landmarks and skylines will dim.

“We have everyone from Casablanca to the safari camps of Namibia and Tanzania taking part,” said Greg Bourne, CEO of World Wildlife Fund in Australia, the environmental group that came up with the idea that started in Sydney in 2007 and has since grown to every continent.

The shutdown is completely voluntary and street lights, traffic lights and other safety measures are unaffected.

Andy Ridley, a WWF worker in Sydney who cooked up the idea of Earth Hour in a pub with friends, said he hoped this year’s event would inspire world leaders to strive for a much stronger climate agreement than that struck at December’s Copenhagen climate change summit, which failed to come up with binding rules on reducing pollution blamed for global warming.

“What we’re still looking for in this coming year is a global deal that encourages all countries to lower their emissions,” Ridley said Saturday. “China is going to have to be a big part of that but so is every other major economy.”

China first took part in the campaign last year, and this year more than 30 cities were to switch off their lights, including those at the landmark Forbidden City in downtown Beijing.

A U.S.-born giant panda, Mei Lan, who lives at the Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Center in the southwestern province of Sichuan, will kick off China’s participation: When she walks onto a platform in her enclosure, the lights at the breeding center will go out, said Chris Chaplin, communications officer for WWF in China.

Some 88 cities took part in last year’s Earth Hour, which has the backing of the United Nations as well as global corporations, nonprofit groups, schools, scientists and celebrities — including Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett and retired Cape Town Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Earth Hour organizers say there’s no uniform way to measure how much energy is saved worldwide, but that the simple fact that so many places have signed up to take part should send a message to leaders that global warming is a topic of great concern to people worldwide.

In the Philippines, Roman Catholic bishops said they would urge the faithful to preserve natural resources during special prayers to be read on church-run radio for an hour starting at 8:30 p.m.

“Failure of today’s people to care for the earth’s resources is akin to stealing the future of the coming generations,” said Manila Archbishop Gaudencio Rosales.

Residents in 1,000 towns and municipalities were expected to switch off their lights in the Philippines, with the main event taking place at a Manila Bay mall complex, including a rock concert and street party, according to WWF-Philippines.

In Taiwan, the Presidential Palace along with at least 20 skyscrapers — including the world’s second-tallest building — in the capital of Taipei switched off their lights. Hundreds of Taiwanese placed candles beside a Taiwan map formed by energy-saving LED lights at a square outside the city hall. Also dimmed for an hour were large advertising billboards in a nearby commercial district.

Amazing how easily idiots can be led.  I guess they’ll all come away thinking they’ve done something other then waste time.

IDIOT’S

One Pirate Shot Dead, Six Captured While Attacking Cargo Ship Off Somalia

OK so, one vermin dead, good. Six arrested. Bad.  Why not throw them overboard tied to chains? Why bother arresting the scum?

I notice that someone has already suggested that now the pirate vermin may become more violent as a result.  So then what is the solution? Talking?

Kudos to the guards even though they only managed to nail one.

One Pirate Shot Dead, Six Captured While Attacking Cargo Ship Off Somalia

A spokesman for the EU Naval Force (NavFor) said the suspect was found dead by a team from an EU warship responding to a distress call from the cargo ship.

The death comes amid fears that increasingly aggressive pirates and the growing use of armed private security contractors on board vessels could fuel increased violence on the high seas. The handling of the case may have legal implications beyond the individuals involved in Tuesday’s shooting.

The guards were onboard the MV Almezaan when a pirate group approached it twice, said Cmdr John Harbour, the NavFor spokesman. During the second approach on the Panamanian-flagged cargo ship which is United Arab Emirates owned, there was an exchange of fire between the guards and the pirates.

Crews are becoming increasingly adept at repelling attacks by pirates in the dangerous waters of the Indian Ocean and Gulf of Aden. But pirates are becoming more aggressive in response, shooting bullets and rocket-propelled grenades at ships to try to intimidate captains into stopping.

Several organisations, including the International Maritime Bureau, have expressed fears that the use of armed security contractors could encourage pirates to be more violent when taking a ship. Sailors have been hurt or killed before but this generally happens by accident or through poor health. There has only been one known execution of a hostage despite dozens of pirate hijackings.

International navies have killed about a dozen pirates over the past year, said Harbour. Hundreds more are believed to have died at sea.

A global plague and it isn’t warming or climate change. It’s immigration with the west the losers.

A day late but no less interesting.

It isn’t funny, it’s the possible future at the rate these life forms breed.  There are I am certain some very good ones among them. Unfortunately, way too many are intimated, and who can blame them for feeling fear.  The militants are less then animals, hardly human at all and in fact I deny their humanity entirely.  Their so called ‘honor killings’ are beyond outrageous but it’s one one many things the all too many militants would clearly love to enforce throughout the west.

Know your enemy folks.

Hijab Bullies Unveil Their Aggression

Islamist Watch Blog 22 March 2010
By David J. Rusin

For some Islamists, freedom to wear Muslim attire is not enough; they also demand that others conform to their definition of modesty. IW refers to them as “hijab bullies,” though their focus is not necessarily limited to headscarves. Examples highlighted previously on this blog include a British dentist requiring patients to cover their hair and a teacher in Norway manipulating first graders into donning hijabs. However, these tactics are tame compared to recent revelations.

Consider the experiences of Shiria Khatun, a secular Muslim who serves as a Labour Party councilor in Tower Hamlets, a borough of London and an Islamist stronghold. Police are investigating claims of harassment by locals objecting to her style of dress. She explains:

They’re really disgusting. They would talk about my Western clothes, my tight jeans, and my body parts.

One man said — and it sounds much nastier in [the Bangladeshi dialect] Sylheti — “I know where you live and I’m going to come and show you and your kids.” I just hung up.

I really thought it was a pervert, but then it started to get more intense. My parents died when I was young and the callers must know that because they said they would dig up their graves and bury me inside. I think they’re sick.

Moroccan-born Fatima Ghailan, who works for the government of Cunit, Spain, has had her own run-ins with hijab bullies. Local imam Mohamed Benbrahim and Islamic Association head Abderraman el-Osri now face criminal charges of harassing, slandering, and threatening Ghailan, whose duties as a “cultural mediator” include encouraging “cloistered” Muslim females to participate in the life of the town. As the Washington Post reports, her influence over the community “was something the traditionalists could not accept — particularly because it involved a woman who refused to cover her hair.” The Telegraph elaborates:

In a statement to the court in the nearby town of Vendrells, Mrs. Ghailan, 31, said Benbrahim had harassed her and campaigned to have her removed from her job in the town hall’s cultural department purely because she had a job, dressed in a Western style, drove a car, and associated with non-Muslims.

Finally, self-appointed “morality police” have been patrolling the Muslim-heavy Grønland district of Oslo. According to Aftenposten, women passing through in Western attire can consider themselves lucky if they suffer only “aggressive looks of rebuke, scorn, and contempt.” The unlucky ones are abused by men who “touch their breasts and pinch their bottom, claiming that it’s the girls’ own fault for not covering themselves.” The vigilantes also have taken to tormenting gays and anybody caught snacking on the streets during Ramadan.

Grønland illuminates a vital truth: Islamists may start out as hijab bullies, seeking to enforce dress codes among Muslims. But they do not stop with dress codes — or with Muslims.

Things could be worse. We could be Norway.  And there’s no place to hide

H/T Gates of Vienna

It isn’t just the UK or Germany or France. Is It?  Norway too and there really is almost no where to go and get away from this latest global plague.

Recent reports in the press here also claim (truthfully) that birth rates in the USA are down for Caucasians and your first guess as to whose are higher and growing will likely be the correct one.

Break out those hidden burkas and hijabs.

Norwegians Will Become a Minority in Their Own Country

by Baron Bodissey

There’s a news article in Norway today that says that people who speak Norwegian as mother tongue (Norwegians) may become a minority in Oslo schools by 2021.

Obviously, that’s a mild statement with some political correctness to it. It’s not a matter if it will become like that; it’s just a matter of time. So there is no “may”, just “when”.

Norwegian-speaking students are a minority at 58 elementary schools in Oslo, as shown by the results from a recent study.

During the last five years the number of schools in which Norwegian-speaking students form a minority has increased by 18, from 40 to 58.

In 2000, 31% of the students in Oslo were immigrants.

Today (2010) 40% of the students in Oslo are minorities. The number of non-Norwegian students in Oslo has increased by 1% each year, which means that Norwegians will be a minority in Oslo schools in 2021, if the trend continues.

To stop Norwegians from becoming a minority in Oslo schools, they must stop the immigration at once, send back everyone who can be sent home, and try to make others want to move home. That is what is necessary, whether people like it or not. Without doing that, we can’t stop it.

It’s high time that politicians realize this and grow a spine. But I don’t think they will. None of the politicians will do what’s required — the right wing want to institute a stricter immigration policy, which would obviously be better, but that will just slow the situation, not stop it. Even if they stop immigration entirely, the Muslims will still become more numerous than us because of their birth rate, which shows no sign of decreasing.

I think that the right wing will almost certainly win the election next time (in three years), but it remains to be seen if that will help anything at all. In the long run, I doubt it. I think what is happening in Europe can’t be stopped by politicians, because no politicians are brave and politically incorrect enough to do what must be done, which is to get 80% of the Muslim immigrants out of here.

So I believe the situation will just keep getting worse and worse, until it eventually becomes civil war or at least very violent.

Edited for space but the whole thing is at the source right HERE

my posts on the light side again today ...

ON YOUR KNEES IN AMERICA AND KISS THE GROUND FOR YOUR GOOD FORTUNE. BE THANKFUL EVRY DAY.

They wouldn’t dare try this crap in the USA. Or would they?  I wish the heck they would.  It might be interesting to see what the reaction, and action, would be.
Perhaps it could trigger the final confrontation needed to rid ourselves of this virus in our own back yard. But it won’t.
Meanwhile, DO NOT place the blame on the muzzies. No,no.  They’ll go as far as the powers that be allow them to go. That’s the nature of the beast.  If there’s any fault, it’s with the BS diversity, left wing libtard, muslim apologists and sympathizers.  Do not blame the muslims.

Blame creeps like this bastard, this filthy lying SOB, this traitor and fugitive from a fetid swamp crawling with slime and disease. Blame ppl like this.

Defamation case over Prophet Mohammed cartoons ‘to be held’ in Britain

A Saudi Arabian lawyer has threatened to use British courts to overturn a Danish free speech ruling by bringing a defamation case over cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed that depicted Islam’s founder as a terrorist.

By Bruno Waterfield in Brussels

Faisal Yamani, a Jeddah based lawyer, is planning to take a case to London’s libel courts on behalf of over 90,000 descendants of Mohammed who have claimed that the drawings have defamed them and the Islamic faith.

Cartoon caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed were published in Danish newspapers in 2006 triggering violent protests across the Muslim world and riots which claimed the lives of over 50 people.

According to Danish press reports, the case can be heard in the Britain because the images, including a caricature of Mohammed with a bomb shaped turban, have been freely accessible via the internet.

Danish politicians and publishers are furious that European Union rules reward “libel tourism” by enforcing British defamation rulings across Europe.

Ebbe Dal, managing director of Danske Dagblades Forening, the Danish national newspaper association, is concerned that Britain’s tough libel laws could be used to restrict free speech in liberal countries such as Denmark.

“The Danish courts have decided that the case is not actionable and that we are allowed to print the drawings in Danish newspapers and websites,” he said.

“It would be very odd if a civilised country like Britain could go against that. If this succeeded we would have to pay a lot of money to Saudi Arabians misusing the British courts to make it difficult for freedom of speech.”

Mr Yamani demanded last year that 11 Danish newspapers remove all cartoon images of Mohammed from their websites and issue front page apologies along with promises that the images would never be printed again.

Only one newspaper, Politiken, agreed to the demand leading to the new threat of an expensive British court action backed by wealthy Saudi Muslims.

Lars Barfoed, the Danish justice minister, has complained to the European Commission that EU rules forcing Denmark to enact British court rulings would damage freedom of expression.

“It’s fundamentally reasonable that judgments in the EU can often be exercised across borders. But it would be taking it to the extreme if a UK court could rule against the Danish media and then require compensation and court costs to be paid,” he said.

EU officials have acknowledged that libel judgements in the British courts have become a major issue since “Rome II” rules on mutual recognition of European court rulings entered into force last year.

“We are well aware that there is a problem with libel and defamation tourism involving Britain, where judges can be sympathetic and damages awards are high. There will be a review next year,” said an official.

A British Ministry of Justice working group on libel law is expected to publish a report calling for reform later this month.

“The government is concerned about any potential chilling effect that our libel laws are having on freedom of speech,” said a spokesman.

Malaysian Prince wins £1.2 million defamation suit against wife
A Malaysian prince was awarded 6 million ringgit (£1.2 million) in damages in a defamation suit against his teenage wife who accused him of sexual and physical abuse after fleeing home to Indonesia.

Miss Pinot and her mother told Indonesian media that the Prince, 32, held her captive and treated her as a sex slave. She also made graphic allegations of physical torture during their marriage.

The Prince subsequently filed a defamation suit against Miss Pinot and her mother, both of whom refused to testify in the hearings.

‘Terrorist British Airways worker planned to take advantage of strike’ a pox on unions and muslims

Two things this country and the world can do without. Unions and muslims.

So there I was last night looking up flights to the USA on Brit. Air.  Originally I had planned to use ship, those plans are not abandoned, but there was a very good write up in the weekend travel section of a little known flight BA runs where one can clear US Immigration at Shannon Airport. Huh? Now that’d be ideal. The filght takes an hour longer then the regular overseas flight BUT, you save time once arriving. So anyhow I’m trying to get further info and as it’s a business class flight I know it won’t be cheap.  I also know that the damn union is striking BA and positions are being staffed by volunteers and I guess, strike breakers. So it is pretty risky. And then I woke up to this when I brought in the morning paper.  Damn these useless bastards.

Yeah I know I’m not supposed to think this way but have to ask anyway.

Are you all certain that genocide isn’t after all, the only answer?  This is a scary read.  The boat’s getting to look good again. Oh right. Pirates. Can’t win these days.

BA worker ‘planned to use strike to become suicide bomber and passed on secrets to terror masterminds in Yemen’

By SAM GREENHILL and PAUL SIMS

A would-be suicide bomber worked for British Airways and plotted to take advantage of cabin crew strikes to launch an attack, it was alleged yesterday.

Rajib Karim, a trusted IT expert at the airline, planned to volunteer for crew training to help keep flights running during the threatened walkouts.

He also used his access to BA’s computer systems to gain insider knowledge about airline security and pass it to terror masterminds in Yemen and Pakistan, a court heard.

Union bosses seized on the revelations to claim that passengers could be endangered by BA’s tactics for beating the planned strikes. The airline says it has more than 1,000 volunteer staff ready to work as cabin crew in the event of industrial action.

Karim, 30, was born in Bangladesh and came to Britain a few years ago to get a UK passport which would smooth his terror mission, it was claimed.

Two years ago he secured a full-time job at a BA call centre in Newcastle upon Tyne and became ‘heavily involved’ in software development.

But he had a ‘clear intention and desire’ for martyrdom and wanted to become a suicide bomber, Westminster Magistrates Court heard.

His computer allegedly contained encrypted files showing he was in contact with terrorists abroad.

Karim requested ‘permission’ from ‘those who appear to be able to give [it]’ to carry out an atrocity in the UK and suggested to colleagues in Yemen that he might be able to train as a cabin crew member to work on planes during strikes.

This would give him ‘inside knowledge’ of training and procedures that could assist in carrying out a terror attack, the court heard.

He also offered to travel to Yemen and Pakistan to train in terrorism, and suggested other people he knew who could potentially be recruited.

The court heard that Karim gave details of ways in which BA security systems and computer servers could be subjected to physical or internal attack to inflict ‘severe financial losses’.

better banking?

A couple folks sent me this link, which I saw out at Insty yesterday. It seems Canada’s banks are in great shape, and they weren’t damaged by the “housing crisis” at all. Because they do things differently in Canada. Stronger rules and regulations, no tax write-off for interest, and NO POLITICS involved in the lending process. And, while I have no proof of it at all, I’ve always had the feeling that they have far fewer layabouts than we do. A much smaller permanent victim class.

It’s late, so here’s the link. Interesting short read. What’s the catch? I think there is one, but I can’t quite figure it out right now.

Greek deputy PM’s extraordinary attack on Germany over debt crisis. It’s the Nazis fault.

I guess it isn’t funny and some are saying that the euro could fall if Germany doesn’t help to prop up the Greeks and see em through this disaster.

I haven’t done a lot of reading on this and don’t know what all the ramifications would be.  It’s surely nothing to bother the US, or might it?

Anyone with knowledge on this topic, welcome please.  I’d really like to understand it better. I find things like this quite interesting, especially living so close to things.

You might want to see the comments at the end of the article at the MAIL.  Very interesting.  Also, I happen to think while reading this earlier today, isn’t it nice for a change, going from it’s Bush fault to , It’s the Nazis fault.

‘The Nazis took our gold, they should at least thank us’: Greek deputy PM’s extraordinary attack on Germany over debt crisis

By MAIL FOREIGN SERVICE

Nazi theft of Greek gold during the Second World War is to blame for the country’s faltering finances, Athens claimed yesterday.

It came as new protests about the economy turned violent.

Greece said the real culprit for its problems were the Nazis, whose occupation lasted from 1941 to 1945.

‘They took away the Greek gold that was at the Bank of Greece, they took away the Greek money and they never gave it back,’ said Deputy prime minister Theodoros Pangalos.

‘I don’t say they have to give back the money necessarily but they have at least to say “thanks”.’

Germany had failed to offer enough compensation for the economic impact of the Nazi occupation, he added.

Germany swiftly rejected the accusation, saying it paid £50million in compensation by 1960 and more to forced labourers of the Nazi regime.

The economy was crippled, as foreign trade was suspended, agricultural output ground to a halt, and the treasury had to loan Germany money.

The EU has asked Greece to explain reports that it engaged in derivatives trades with U.S. investment banks that may have allowed it to mask the size of its debt and deficit from authorities ahead of its entry into the euro zone.

But Mr Pangalos said Italy did more than Greece to mask the state of its finances to secure euro zone entry.

Video: Allah, the Netherlands, and the House of Orange

First of all ...
H/T EUROPE NEWS

I meant to post this yesterday, too much going on but better late then never.

This is a very short video, the speaker (Dutch) is very emotional and VERY angry.  He’s had enough of immigration and his country sucking up to muslims.

The screen crawl at the very start is too fast but of special interest is the one at the very end.  Some of you who have followed this from the past will be familiar with his name.

A video about how the Dutch Government betrayed the people of the Netherlands, and destroyed the separation of church and state. Pim Fortuyn expresses his frustration about how political correctness is destroying Holland with Islam. Very good little video.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
