OMG, Look What They’ve Done

Signing up all the gays for Obamacare is a really big deal. They’re getting priority it seems, because, gosh, so many LGBTs and lesbians don’t have insurance. (not that they’ve been turned down for it? can’t say.)

Among those most in need of access to health insurance are LGBT Americans.  Research has shown that lesbians and transgender people have lower rates of insurance, while many gay men have had difficulty getting insured due to pre-existing HIV infection or just the perceived risk of HIV.  Others have been denied coverage under their same-sex partners’ employer plans. 

Yeah yeah yeah. yadda yadda and so on. the poor things, turned down as “partners” under someone else’s insurance, because, gosh, the employers aren’t actually required by law to extend insurance coverage to a relationship that isn’t even legal in many parts of the country. So, bad bad. Make sure that whole Rainbow Community goes right to the head of the sign-up line. Poor dears, they’ve been so mistreated for so long.

But to get the word out, to get those certain special folks to sign up ... to get all the sexual deviants to register AS SEXUAL DEVIANTS with the central government [ can anyone else hear 1937 screaming “nein nein nein!!!” except me?? ] ... the O-regime has made a bunch of extra special ads.

Some of them just for the Christmas season.

what the duck?

Guess them there homo-sex-you-alls got it pretty good over here in America.

In Iran, they get beheaded or hanged.  In most Islamic nations, they get pretty violent punishment, come to think of it.

In plenty of other countries, even across wonderful Europe, they get fairly regular beatings in public.

In America, such microscopically small amounts of resistance exist to the Rainbow Rollercoaster - no executions, no common public beatings, no laws impugning their belief/alignment/behavior, more and more states recognizing their right to marry within their same apparent gender, not a business or university willing to turn one away in fear of the dread Gay Card being played on them, etc, - that they have to either paint their own collegiate habitats with slurs as publicity stunts, or get their manties in a twist when any public figure says the slightest thing that could (usually by inversion and implication) be stretched to be some sort of anti-homosexual “slur”. Not that any of them would hesitate a second to cut a bitch dead for wearing last year’s Prada, so passe!

So here we go again. Super redneck from the #1 cable TV money making show Duck Dynasty gives his opinion, and the militant “unusuals” have a hairy fit, resulting in the network crapping themselves and putting the guy out to pasture. Because, free speech. Not.

‘Duck Dynasty’s’ Phil Robertson on Indefinite Hiatus Following Anti-Gay Remarks

A&E has placed Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson on indefinite hiatus following anti-gay remarks he made in a recent profile in GQ.

“We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson’s comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty,” A&E said in a statement. “His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community. The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely.”

The news comes after Robertson compared homosexuality to bestiality in an interview with the magazine. He’ll likely appear in season four, which bows Jan. 15, since production is largely wrapped.




“It seems like, to me, a vagina—as a man—would be more desirable than a man’s anus,” Robertson says in the January issue of the men’s magazine. “That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”

During a discussion about repentance and God, Robertson is asked what he finds sinful.

“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there,” he says. “Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.”

So there you have it ... he finds homosexuality sinful. AND he finds beastiality sinful. AND he finds adultery sinful.
So come on, you genius elite liberals: tell me WHERE IS HE COMPARING HOMOSEXUALITY TO BEASTIALITY???  Comparing? No. Likening? No. Relating? No. Saying one is a “gateway drug” to the other? Not even.

But it doesn’t matter one whit. The truth? Who gives a flying glory hole about the truth? Here’s some well known redneck, speaking up for heterosexuality and labeling it his own personal opinion.

And now? Looks like this beard has been shaved. Phil Roberston has been sidelined indefinitely. The network - pardon my heterosexual ironic simile - isn’t man enough to actually fire him. They just want him out of the way for now. Hide him in the closet until he’s ready to grovel.

“Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson has been placed on indefinite hiatus from the reality program following his controversial remarks in GQ magazine regarding homosexuality. While the cast member has not officially been fired, he will not be filming with the show moving forward.

Meanwhile, it seems that the only person sticking up for Robertson is Sarah Palin. And probably all those crazy people in the Tea Party, but I don’t think anyone’s asked them for their opinion yet on this.

Sarah Palin says the suspension of one of the stars of the show “Duck Dynasty” over recent anti-gay comments he made is an attack on free speech.

Palin re-posted a picture of her meeting with the stars of the A&E show on her Facebook page Wednesday night, writing that “intolerants” were behind the suspension of the show’s patriarch, Phil Robertson.

“Free speech is an endangered species. Those ‘intolerants’ hatin’ and taking on the Duck Dynasty patriarch for voicing his personal opinion are taking on all of us,”

Of course she’s right. But this is what happens to anyone ... ANYONE ... even famous public figures, who go against the agenda.  Do not ever speak up against the blacks, the muslims, or the sexually atypical. You will be burned at the stake if you do.

batman is what?

When I was a kid and I read the comics or saw something on early blk and wht TV, the costumes worn by our kiddie heroes never looked as fake as they do today.
I don’t know what your opinion is of the current crop of these movies, but the movies aren’t my topic.  The costumes are, and even more is a question.

Why is it so important, as it appears to be, that our super heroes just must be queer?
What’s with that?
I suppose the answer really is that it makes that lifestyle more acceptable and more mainstream.  Well heck, why can’t they leave those super men and women as they were and as we knew them, and invent their own super heroes?  I mean, hey. They already stole the ‘G’ word.  Even the pope himself is referring to them as “gay”.

Not content with outing real people, they even insist on outing fictional characters. Good grief.  They are outing things that don’t even exist.

By portraying Batman as openly gay, Mancassola has made explicit leanings which have been tacit throughout the character’s comic book and screen history.

Grant Morrison, who wrote Batman stories for DC Comics, claimed that “he’s intended to be heterosexual, but the basis of the whole concept is utterly gay”.

Drugs linked to soaring HIV rates among gay men

HIV infections among gay men in London are soaring, with sexual health workers saying that a “chaotic and harmful” link between high-risk drug use and gay sex in the capital is fuelling the increase.

Latest figures from Public Health England show that the rate of infection in the capital leaped by more than 20 per cent in 2012. Charities have warned that the virus is once again one of the most serious public health crises in the UK today.

should my wife change her name to frank?  How about Bob?

Our regulars here are aware of the problems my wife has had with US immigration at LAX over the last few years.

I won’t go into the whole story again except to say that on three occasions she has been treated as if she didn’t belong, in spite of the fact that we have been married for 43 years and been together for 44.  My wife worked in the USA for at least 39 years, collects social security even now, but due to rules that make no exceptions, well that is unless you’re queer and the supremes rule in your favor, each time we’ve visited home she has been taken into an interrogation room at LAX by the KGB, who found work with our customs ppl after the fall of their glorious socialist republic. 

Her green card has to be given up and if she wants another she will have to go through the whole process all over again, which can not be done easily at this point in time for all sorts of reasons.  The point is, she is in limbo with the whole thing and I don’t think at her age and in her state of health, she wants to be bothered with it all.  She has always been the sort of immigrant that our country said it wanted.  Hard working and not a financial drag on the public purse and without a blemish of criminality.  OK. Enough of that.

Here’s what has me going on the subject again.

Two days after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down parts of the Defense of Marriage Act, the federal law that defined marriage as a union of male and female only, more history was made: A gay couple in Florida became the first to see their green card petition approved, a lawyer for the pair said.
Bulgarian graduate student Traian Popov — in American on a student visa — and his American partner, Julian Marsh, were married in New York, The Associated Press reported.

(In another newspaper, his “partner” was described as, his husband. Good grief that is gross. )

A Bulgarian student and his American husband are the first gay couple in the US to have their green card petition, or permanent visa, approved after the Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriages.

Traian Popov, who has a student visa, married Julian Marsh in New York because Florida, where they live, did not recognise same-sex marriage. Mr Popov will not be able to travel to his family in Bulgaria for at least six months while his green card is processed.
The pair’s lawyer, Lavi Soloway, says he has filed 100 petitions for same-sex couples since 2010.

It just keeps getting queerer and queerer

First up: Homo couple face trial for raping adopted sons

A judge on Friday allowed two Glastonbury men, accused two years ago of sexually assaulting two of their nine adopted boys, to withdraw their no-contest pleas and take their cases to trial.

The unusual action came during what was to be a sentencing hearing for George Harasz and Douglas Wirth, who entered pleas in January to one felony count each of risk of injury to a minor. They agreed to suspended prison sentences. The only issue for Friday’s hearing was to be whether each would be required to register as sex offenders.

But a new allegation of sexual assault against Harasz by one of the victims, contained in a pre-sentence investigation of Harasz, helped scrap the plea agreement. The case was further clouded Friday by disclosure in court of new allegations of abuse by three other of the nine children. No new criminal charges have been filed.

Bet they wanted to be Boy Scout leaders too!

Then there’s this gem: State to help infertile ‘gay homosexual couples

My first question is: How would you know? The answer is…

But the state’s new proposal, AB 460, the “Health care coverage: infertility” proposal by California homosexual advocate Tom Ammiano takes the state’s pro-homosexual actions to a whole new level.

AB 460 would extend the idea of “non-discrimination” to homosexuals and lesbians regarding fertility, allowing them to be classified as “infertile” if they are unable “to conceive a pregnancy or to carry a pregnancy to a live birth after a year or more of regular sexual relations without contraception.”

They would then be eligible for insurance coverage for “treatment of infertility, except in vitro fertilization, under those terms and conditions as may be agreed upon between the group subscriber or the group policyholder and the plan or the insurer.”

Seems to me that if they can do “year or more of regular sexual relations” instead of their ‘irregular’ ones then they can do it for life. With a ‘regular’ spouse of the opposite sex.

Homosexuals and Scouting don’t mix

As a local Boy Scout leader, I got an email to participate in a survey of Scout leaders. As you may know, for some strange reason, the Home Office is struggling with whether or not to let homosexuals in as members or leaders. I saved each and every question for future reference, but I was astounded at what was missing. Should the Boy Scouts, as an organization, adhere to the Scout Oath?

In case you don’t know or remember, the Scout Oath is:

On My Honor
I Will Do My Best
To Do My Duty
To God and my Country
And to Obey the Scout Law.
To Help Other People at all Times;
To Keep Myself Physically Strong,
Mentally Awake,
And Morally Straight.

That’s how I learned it back in 1968 when I joined the Cub Scouts. We’ve seen the havoc the Catholic Church has had to deal with by letting homosexuals become priests. Let’s not repeat the mistake. Homosexuals will prey on young men, whether in church, or on the campground. Period. Let’s keep the Boy Scouts morally straight.

an open and honest opinion is now a hate crime among some in poland

WARSAW—Lech Walesa, Poland’s communist-era democracy campaigner, caused an uproar by saying homosexuals shouldn’t demand more rights and gay legislators should sit “behind a wall” in Parliament, words critics said put into question his legacy as a freedom fighter.

You folks will recall Mr. Walesa I hope. The former shipyard worker from the city of Danzig. Oh woops. They call it Gdansk now.  Horrible sound that.  Danzig sounds much nicer, which is why I still use it. Well anyway, the liberal press has it’s knickers in a twist because Mr. Walesa has the nerve to be critical of the homosexual community.  Ppl forget he also had the balls to stand up to the reds who still held power in his country, and wasn’t afraid to call a spade a spade.  So why should he hold back his critique of queers?  Anyway, the lib press says he has tarnished his Nobel Prize and now risks “shattering his legacy” just because he says that “a minority group should not impose itself on the majority.” This is in reference to same sex marriage, of which most Poles do not approve.

So quite naturally his comments are now being labelled as “hate speech.” Mr. Walesa has not yet learned, or been cowed into accepting, that any opinion that does not find favor with the left is automatically a hate crime.

He also said;

“They need to know they are a minority and adjust to smaller things instead of rising to the greatest heights, taking peak time, organizing the biggest provocations designed to spoil others or pick out people from the majority,”

He went on to say that,

he refuses to accept public gay-rights marches that “coax my children and grandchildren.”

Yeah well, apparently the politically correct who are allowed to live and breathe in Poland also speak with a voice louder then their numbers.  Prosecutors have launched an investigation following complaints that he advocated hate crime.

Nowhere in anything he said did he suggest violence or that anyone should commit a crime of any sort.  But this is the world we have to deal with now.
Oh yes and something else.  The left is good at this and use it every time they want to make a point in defense of whatever position they hold at any given time.  The Jews and the Holocaust. Make the comparison between your rival and Nazis. A winner every time.

Excuse me but, aren’t there still some camps on Polish soil that might house liberals and the politically correct ?  I think they’re empty now.

Catholics lose fight to stop gays from adopting

Now people, that is NOT true.  Nobody even tried to stop queers from adopting.

Not at all. But the way these ppl have it here, you’d never know it.  All depends on the headline. 

What actually happened was this. 

Catholic Care loses gay adoption fight

A Roman Catholic adoption agency has been told it cannot turn away gay couples if it wants to keep its charitable status.

Catholic Care, run by the Diocese of Leeds, wanted its adoption service to be made exempt from equality laws.

A judge has ruled the charity had failed to give convincing reasons why it should be allowed to do so.

Catholic Care said it would consider its position but could have to end the service as it would lose funding.

The charity - which has been placing children with adoptive parents for more than 100 years - was among 12 Catholic agencies in England and Wales forced to change their policy towards homosexual people due to equality laws passed in 2007.

Others have since closed or cut their ties with the Church.
Appeals rejected

Catholic Care had tried to change its constitution so that it would be committed to following Catholic teaching and placing children only with heterosexual parents.

The agency, which serves the dioceses of Leeds, Middlesbrough, and Hallam in South Yorkshire, had argued the Equality Act went against the Catholic Church’s teachings on marriage and family life.

The latest ruling by a judge in the Upper Tribunal, which is the equivalent of the High Court in the administrative justice system, follows rejections of the charity’s case in the High Court and by the Charity Commission and the Charity Tribunal.

In its judgement, the tribunal said Catholic Care had not provided sufficient evidence that its funding would dry up and it would be forced to close, and some potential adopters would then not come forward.

In a statement, Catholic Care said: “Without the constitutional restriction for which it applied, Catholic Care will be forced to close its adoption service.

“The reason for this is that the service permitted by the current constitution is in conflict with the aims of the charity.

“It is Catholic Care’s view that this will reduce the number of adoptive parents available and the number of children left waiting for adoptive parents will continue to increase.

“Catholic Care will now take time to consider the decision in detail and decide on its next steps.”

up is down and down is up

It must be my age.  I am a dinosaur.  I am have no fear of people who happen to be what I think queer.  As in, odd behavior. But wait. It isn’t odd anymore.
Actually, yes it still is.  What isn’t odd is being so open about it.  As if it’s nature’s way. It’s the opposite of nature’s way. And even then, I haven’t any problem as long as we can please call a spade a spade.  Not long ago I watched an episode of Downton Abbey and suddenly there was a scene where two guys were damn near swallowing each other in a kiss.  I felt like upchucking. Gross in the extreme. Sick making. Yuk and gak. That isn’t normal or natural and especially if the actors were straight.  How can straight actors agree to do that?  It just isn’t natural. But it’s accepted these days as a couple in love. Or lust. Whatever.
How in the world a minority who have even managed to steal the language, the word gay comes immediately to mind, can overcome all obstacles and dictate how the rest of the world must accept as natural this sort of thing, along with their endless parades, is mind boggling. The answer must be, has to be,

It’s the rest of us that are actually the minority. How else to explain why I dare not use the perfectly once nice word, ‘gay’ except to describe them. 

OK so.  I do not hate them. I would not harm any in any way cos their personal life is their business.
BUT ... when the media fall into line like so many lemmings I have to conclude in spite of other evidence, that the media is not just queer friendly but in fact the decision makers must be too.  The people who shape public opinion and alter an entire culture have won the day.

Want proof?  You and I won’t accept this but ....

That little kid will grow up rich but confused. Or maybe not. He’ll grow up believing because he’ll be conditioned, to seeing two men like this as the most natural thing in the world.  And by the time he’s an adult, it might be.  Because the opinion shapers will have it so.

the odd couple win broken heart lotto boo-hoo and a bit of eye candy for the hell of it

Well don’t they look adorable?

The happy couple are now even happier as a court awarded them in the neighborhood of $5,777.00 because, their dear, thweet feelings were given a boo-boo. 
So they cried a river.
Yes folks, that’s the price for hurting someone’s feelings these days.

I reported on this story recently and this is an update seeing as how the loving (but odd) couple have just won the “hurt feelings” lottery.  Btw, you do not have to be qu odd to win that lottery.  Not at all. In fact, now there’s a red light special in isle (pick your favorite number) on extradition to other countries when you’re accused of a crime in that country. Yeah. All you now have to do is convince some shrinks and a court that you will kill yourself if you’re extradited. Most especially to America.  And shrinks are not a all that hard to fool being mostly fools themselves, considering some cases where they judged someone safe who later commits another violent crime.

So then class.  Two things to remember to get along and have things as you want em.

1) My feelings were hurt and I have less self esteem because ( just make something up. It’ll be accepted.)

2) If you extradite me to that country I will kill myself. Just ask my mumsy. 

Ok so back to my post and updated story.

A couple who own a B&B refused due to their Christian beliefs, one bed for two guys.  If memory serves me correctly, the lady owner said that a room with two beds would be okay. Now I might be mistaken on that point. I just think I read that a couple of months ago. She also says that due to her religious beliefs, she would not let a room with one bed to a heterosexual couple who were not married.  Not having read the bible, I would have no way to judge if that behavior is addressed in anyone’s bible, Jewish or Christian.  Or is it something that religious people just assumed was not right or moral?  She claimed her home was private and she had a right to her rules based on her religious belief.  Well if that’s really the case, then she and her husband should have opened a Christian B&B and let folks know up front what the rules of the house are.  BUT, a B&B is not private no matter what she says.  It’s a business and it’s open to the public.

I am not supporting the queer guys but heck, I don’t think the couple here are entirely honest either.  I think both parties are being a bit disingenuous. 

The couple claim they’d turn down a single hetro couple. Really?  How would she know, unless she asked them?  “Are you married?” If the answer is yes, does she think people walk around carrying their marriage certificates with them?  Does she ask people who call for a room booking if they are married or not?  Does she tell people on the phone what the house rules are, so they don’t make a trip there and only find when checking in that they are not qualified?  And there’s another issue here.
She says she’ll allow twin beds. That’s my understanding.  Well if that is true and I do not have it all wrong, then what’s to stop a couple from using one twin for their tryst?

As for the odd couple, they were being funded by a pressure group called Liberty. So what does that tell us? Tells me they knew from the start what the B&B couple were all about and they were determined to make it an issue.
And these ppl don’t know why they are so disliked.

Here’s a bit of a side story.
Nick Griffin, shown below in an unflattering image, is head of the BNP.  The British National Party is considered to be extremis. Here at BMEWS, LyndonB isn’t at all happy with these folks and is no fan of Mr. Griffin.  That’s good enough for me to be honest.  I trust Lyndon on these matters and after all, it’s his country and he is quite well informed on these things. However, no matter if Griffin isn’t a boy scout, seems to me the media play into his hands by publishing a photo like this.  Have to wonder why they didn’t photoshop horns as well.

What Griffin did was to go on Twitter and publish the address of the weird and vomit inducing looking homosexual couple, and asked supporters to picket their home as a show of support for the Christian couple.  Well as you will imagine, the left was up in arms shouting for his tar and feathering and arrest etc., etc.  Never mind how many times the left over time, has done exactly that sort of thing to anyone with an opinion not shared and approved by them.
I hate to say it but, in this case I think Griffin was wrong because now it just opens the door for more of the same for lots of other ppl innocent as well as guilty.  And oh by the way. 
The entire membership list of the BNP was published some time ago and was done in much the same way AND, addresses of BNP members were published with invitations to people to go and picket their homes.
There were never any arrests or “probes” about that.  The authorities didn’t seem to care.  Oh but when it’s an out of favor group like the BNP it’s open season I take it.

France set to ban the words ‘mother’ and ‘father’ from official documents.

See?  This is what liberalism and political correctness leads to.
So okay.  I’m not a dad and never likely to be one.  Always preferred cats and dogs to kids.  But still.  Even if it doesn’t happen in La Belle France’s happy new socialist state, that anyone could even conceive of this doesn’t say anything good about the state of western thinking. Or at least in this case, of French thinkers who must come from the left to dream up this.

Now then, having said that.  There is a good question as to whether only male and female marriage produces better parents.  What I mean is, there has been ample proof here in the UK with screaming headlines about the torture and sexual abuse of children, by their hetro but drug and drink influenced parents.  Baby P comes to mind. The poor tyke was only 17 months old and had fifty injuries and broken bones. A horrible example of a death that could have been avoided.  And I believe his mother and boyfriend are out and free now. But that’s an aside.
While I don’t personally believe a child should be brought up by two daddies or mommies, I can’t say they would be any less loving then straight folks.  And judging by the papers, there are way too many of those rearing kids who if there was any justice, should have been sterilized long ago. But hey, banning words like mom and dad?  What next?

France set to ban the words ‘mother’ and ‘father’ from official documents

France is set to ban the words “mother” and “father” from all official documents under controversial plans to legalise gay marriage.

The move, which has outraged Catholics, means only the word “parents” would be used in identical marriage ceremonies for all heterosexual and same-sex couples.
The draft law states that “marriage is a union of two people, of different or the same gender”.
It says all references to “mothers and fathers” in the civil code – which enshrines French law – will be swapped for simply “parents”.
The law would also give equal adoption rights to homosexual and heterosexual couples.

Justice Minister Christiane Taubira told France’s Catholic newspaper La Croix: “Who is to say that a heterosexual couple will bring a child up better than a homosexual couple, that they will guarantee the best conditions for the child’s development?”
“What is certain is that the interest of the child is a major preoccupation for the government.”
The head of the French Catholic Church Cardinal Philippe Barbarin warned followers last week that gay marriage could lead to legalised incest and polygamy in society.

President Francois Hollande pledged in his manifesto to legalise gay marriage. The draft law will be presented to his cabinet for approval on October 31.

skool daze, skool daze. best days of their lives?

There’s a damn good reason for referring to the PM as conservative lite.
Thing is, in order to gain votes, the cons now have to go out and agree to things really not too conservative, in order to prove that cons can be all inclusive and loving, touchy feely ppl too. 

Really doesn’t affect me truthfully.  At my age, I won’t get to see how it all plays out in the end although from what we see happening today, my guess is the world will continue operating upside down for a good while to come.

And it does all start in schools you know.  Get em while they’re very young and fill those empty heads with left wing crap and what ya get is diversity, multicultural, claptrap and steve and adam tying the knot. Legally.  What the hell. 
I don’t even know if there’s a reason to care anymore. 

BUT!

Now this is something else entirely unless I missed something.
This reads like what it appears to be.  A teacher could be FORCED into endorsing
something alien to his or her core beliefs. 
I suppose another argument could go, well what if a core belief of some teacher honestly held, was Communism or National Socialism or an approval of slavery.

We live in a world where it all depends on what you mean by ‘is.’

Teachers ‘face sack’ for refusing to endorse gay marriage

Teachers who refuse to endorse gay marriage in the classroom could face the sack under controversial Government reforms, a legal expert has warned.

Schools will be within their statutory rights to dismiss staff that wilfully fail to use stories or textbooks promoting same-sex weddings, it is claimed.
Aidan O’Neill, a senior QC and expert on religious freedom and human rights, also warned that parents who object to gay marriage being taught to their children will have no right to withdraw their child from lessons.
In a report, he said that any decision to redefine marriage would have far-reaching consequences for schools, hospitals, foster carers and public buildings.
The most serious impact is likely to be felt in the church where vicars and priests conducting religious marriage ceremonies could be taken to court for refusing to carry out a gay wedding, he said.
The conclusions – in legal advice commissioned by the Coalition for Marriage – comes amid continuing fall-out over Government plans to tear up the centuries-old law on marriage.

Please note that the article, which continues at this link, doesn’t absolutely claim this WILL happen, but only that it could lead to this result.
Somehow, I don’t see authorities being in a position to disallow parents from pulling their kids out of a school and sending them to another.
Which of course would be far easier for those who can afford it.  The article is interesting mostly because it looks like this is the way the world is moving. Not just here in Britain.

Ok before anyone question my bad taste or language, I am copying this straight from the paper as it’s worded.

Now then .... I doubt whoever wrote it intended it to be taken as the gag many will view it as.  I certainly thought it was funny.

So now it’s a world pride thing.  Mark your calendar.  Jeesh. Wonder how far the loons will carry this. Actually, it’s more a matter of how far will this silly crap be allowed to go.
At a guess I’d say as far as the queer world wants it to go.

CASH CRISIS SCALES DOWN GAY FESTIVAL

Drastic cutbacks to the first World Pride festival in London have been described as a “huge blow” to the gay community.  Organizers said the event would go ahead, but admitted there had been problems financing the event.

The parade will now take place without vehicles and floats.
