Another Lesson For Virginians

Virginia Legislates Giving Its Electoral Votes To Popular Vote Winner

The Virginia House of Delegates has passed legislation seeking to award its electoral votes to whomever the wins the popular vote.

House Bill 177 passed with a 51-46 vote in the Democrat-majority House after being handed off by the Privileges and Elections Committee last week. Should the Senate also approve, Virginia will officially become part of the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.

“Under the compact, Virginia agrees to award its electoral votes to the presidential ticket that receives the most popular votes in all 50 states and the District of Columbia,” a bill summary states.

If the state of Virginia survives this term, they’ll never elect Democrats again. That is, unless Virginia has been taken over by rabid Leftists, which is likely the case. One of the problems with a rapidly dynamic population, a One World situation, is that no one assimilates anymore. Whatever it is that has made Virginians Virginians seems to be getting lost.

Yes, this is insanity, a complete renunciation of one of the bedrock principles of America. Which is why it has been a Leftist pipe dream for ages. It’s a good thing that your state is disarming you as fast as they can too, trashing another bedrock principle. Much easier to stomp on people if they can’t fight back.

So let’s see what happens. I mean, come on. This is Virginia. Why would they want the right to vote in the first place? Why would they want their voice to be heard? If the State signs such an act into law and applies it, then, de facto, every citizen in Virginia has been disenfranchised. However or even whether they have voted is meaningless. The State will hand out their electoral votes to whoever got the national popular vote regardless.

Congratulation Virginia citizens: you elected a crop of commies and now you are all slaves. Well done.

You Know They’ve Been Saving This Byline For Ages

Former Vice President Joe Biden announced Tuesday morning, in the midst of voting in the New Hampshire primary, that he is leaving the state, skipping his “victory” party.

Instead, Biden said, he would go on to campaign in South Carolina, where he hopes to win the state.

Biden once led the polls in New Hampshire, but lost his lead several months ago. He now trails Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT); former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg; and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) in the latest polls. He is battling Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) for fourth place, and could even finish sixth if one of the second-tier campaigns takes advantage of his weakness to turn out their voters.

The former vice president signaled to supporters Friday that he did not expect to win — or even do well — in the state, when he declared during the Democrat debate that he expected to “take a hit” here. Making matters worse, on Sunday he called a voter at a town hall meeting a “lying, dog-faced pony soldier.”

Supporters believe he will do better in the more diverse states of Nevada and South Carolina. However, Biden did not want to face the spectacle of a crushing loss in New Hampshire in person.

Oh yeah, that’s the kind of guy I want to be my president. One bad result from one tiny state and he runs away before the polls are even closed. Tough guy, for sure. Um, no. Pretty limp actually. And his polling ... shrinkage!!

Meanwhile, President Trump ...

Democrats were closely monitoring how many people showed up for Tuesday’s contest. New Hampshire’s secretary of state predicated record-high turnout, but if that failed to materialize, Democrats would confront the prospect of waning enthusiasm following a relatively weak showing in Iowa last week and Trump’s rising poll numbers.

Trump, campaigning in New Hampshire Monday night, sought to inject chaos in the process. The Republican president suggested that conservative-leaning voters could affect the state’s Democratic primary results, though only registered Democrats and voters not registered with either party can participate in New Hampshire’s Democratic presidential primary.

“I hear a lot of Republicans tomorrow will vote for the weakest candidate possible of the Democrats,” Trump said Monday. “My only problem is I’m trying to figure out who is their weakest candidate. I think they’re all weak.”

Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) on this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday” accused President Donald Trump of possibly not understanding the difference between communism and socialism.

In a video clip, President Trump said, “I think he is a communist. I think of communism when I think of Bernie. You can say socialist. Didn’t he get married in Moscow?”

Sanders said, “It gives me no pleasure to say this, we have a president who is a pathological liar. He lies. No, I did not get married in Moscow. I participated in creating a sister city program.”

He continued, “Obviously, I am not a communist. I presume the president knows the difference. Maybe he doesn’t.”

Forget the outmoded, simplistic, and nefarious textbook definitions. 

This is the effective difference between Communism, Fascism, Nazism, and Socialism, other than the level of violence the state is willing to instantly use against the people:

It just goes on and on. The incoherent rabid hatred of our President from the lunatic Left never ends.

Several unhinged Dems “stormed” out of the speech last night, including Rancid tLabia because Trump’s message of unity, exceptionalism, economic prosperity, national security, hope for the future, etc was just “so fake”. Seriously.

AOC couldn’t even bring herself to go, boycotting the event but apparently watching every second of it. She’s having a tizzy over Rush getting the Medal of Freedom, saying how that cheapens this high honor. Granted, President Trump could have bestowed it at a separate ceremony, but doing it during the SOTU forced every media outlet to show it, instead of burying on page 87 and pretending it didn’t happen. But regarding cheapening the thing, how convenient that she seems to have forgotten that Obama awarded one to Joe Biden for ... being Joe Biden. Worse, Obama gave him the award “with distinction” which is an even higher level of honor.  Creepy Uncle Joe was so overcome with emotion at the time that the truth came out by accident, as he repeatedly said he didn’t deserve the medal.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., slammed Rush Limbaugh, who was recently was diagnosed with cancer, as a “racist” on social media late Tuesday, saying he “cheapens” the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

AOC didn’t attend President Trump’s State of the Union address, claiming it would have legitimized what she saw as lawless conduct under his administration. But she offered her thoughts on Limbaugh receiving the honor to her 4.2 million Instagram followers with a streaming video.

“First of all, the Presidential Medal of Freedom is an extraordinarily sacred award. We’re talking about putting someone on the same level as Rosa Parks, for example, in terms of their contributions to American progress,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “Rush Limbaugh is a violent racist.”

Not that she was alone in her classless disruptive behavior last night. Fred Guttenberg, anti-2A zealot got himself tossed from the event, and the Witches In White tried to start up something at one point, each waving 3 raised fingers, but the President talked right over them and they quickly shut down. I gather this was in support of “the Elijah Cummings Bill” HR3, which is supposed to address the high cost of prescription drugs in the country ... drugs perhaps covered by ObamaCare, or President Bush’s prescription drug plan? Or perhaps falling under President Trump’s mention of his push for lower drug costs? Seems like a meaningless disruptive act to me, when the President is already behind the idea.

When President Donald Trump called on Congress during his State of the Union speech to send him legislation to lower prescription drug prices, House Democrats had a ready response.

The President was highlighting his work taking on “big pharmaceutical companies.” He said his administration approved a record number of affordable generic drugs and the FDA was approving new medicines faster than ever before. Trump also said the cost of prescription drugs decreased for the first time in 51 years.

It was when Trump asked for bipartisan support for lowering drug prices that the Democrats stood up in protest.

“I am calling for bipartisan legislation that achieves the goal of dramatically lowering prescription drug prices, Trump said. “Get a bill to my desk, and I will sign it into law without delay.”

Democrats got on their feet, raised three fingers and chanted “H.R. 3! H.R. 3!” referring to the late Rep. Elijah Cummings bill on drug pricing. Many democrats also yelled “You lie!” The bill was passed by the House in December on a largely party-line vote, but has remained untouched in the Republican-controlled Senate.

So the President, acting in a bipartisan way in support of the American people, calls on the Republican controlled Senate to urge this bill on, yet the Democrats felt the need to protest that, yelling out that he was a liar for supporting their own bill. You can’t win with these idiots.
Granted, having the federal government “negotiate” with Big Pharma [ “nice corporation you’ve got here, would be a shame if anything happened to it” ] strikes of fascism, being antithetical to the whole concept of free market captialism ... another thing the Left is against.

The results of the Iowa caucus are on hold right now, “for quality checks”.

Which means Bernie is probably way ahead, and that’s not the result that the DNC wants. So they’ll execute and AlGore-ithm I guess.

You remember the difference from 2000, right? 

An algorithm is a process that is repeated a finite number of times until a result is achieved.

And then TEST the damn thing ... a lot ... before using it officially. How much DUH can I put in one line?

There’s no indication that the snafu was caused by a cyberattack. But the problems with the app, which was created by a little-known company called Shadow, Inc., exemplify the danger of incorporating new and untested technologies into the voting process, experts say.

“What this shows is that internet-based systems can be extremely fragile,” said David Jefferson, a computer scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory who has advised the national Democratic Party about voting technology issues. “You should not deploy a system that hasn’t gone through rigorous and scaled testing, and you should not deploy a system whose architecture and technical details are secret.”

Got that right Davey. Hire these guys at $10/hr to write the thing. Hire some other team at $50/hr to test it. When it passes every kind of software test out there, especially load testing, then pay the developers a half mil and use the thing once for real, but in the background. When it works in the real world, then pay the coders a couple million and release the code to the world as an act of beneficence, and then everybody can use it. Everybody, even you and me. Screw this Secret Squirrel BS. Because it’s just a reporting app. This is really pretty darn simple code, and it is absolutely non-interactive. All it does is add up some numbers, then send the totals to the app interface. It’s not much more involved than an adding machine mated to a text message.

The model is the face of the Toronto-based luxury brand’s latest campaign for its Polar Bears International Line, which raises money for protecting the threatened bear species and how it is affected by global warming and greenhouse gas emissions, the company announced Monday.

Canada Goose has donated more than $3.5 million to the organization, the company said in a statement.

The winter coat maker, known for its puffer jackets marked with its ubiquitous red, white and blue patch that cost upwards of $1,000, has been sported by the Hollywood crowd in recent weeks. The brand was a sponsor at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, where it handed out hundreds of its limited-edition coats to directors and actors in attendance. The exclusive jackets were gray and designed with deep pockets and a Sundance 2020 logo on its sleeve.

Deep pockets ... seems appropriate when you consider how much they charge for one of their coats.

And I’m sure climate change is affecting the poor little polar bears, giving them warming weather so they don’t freeze to death so often, and more food to eat as well. Also, I have serious doubts is most polar bears are impacted by greenhouse gases.

More Unhinged Leftists

An Oregon teacher was arrested after police say she hurled “various expletives” at a sexual assault victim after approaching the woman in a restaurant last week.

Trisha Ebbs, 50, was arrested for disorderly conduct after police were called to a “Hops N Drops” on Keizer Station Boulevard Friday over reports that the high school teacher verbally attacked the victim of a 2017 sexual assault.

Keizer Police were dispatched to the restaurant around 9:35 p.m. after Ebbs approached a table where the 20-year-old girl, her father and a third individual were sitting. Ebbs had been having dinner with the parents of the male suspect in that case and recognized the victim.

No, the male is NOT a suspect. He is the convicted perpetrator of this sexual assault and another one.

According to police, Ebbs “walked to where the woman was seated and began screaming at her, calling her various expletives attributable to Trisha Ebbs’ belief about the circumstances of the 2017 crime.”

The girl’s father pushed Ebbs and was then shoved by “a group of males” with her.

Witnesses told police that Ebbs was “on top of them.” The altercation ended when employees separated the group.

The relationship between Ebbs and the male suspect’s parents was not immediately known. According to police, the suspect, now 21, was charged and subsequently convicted as an adult for sexual assault against this woman and a second minor female in 2017.

Ebbs has been placed on administrative leave.



And, AS ALWAYS, let’s get the actual details of an American news story from the British press. Or at least the CCTV video and some frames from it. To which I added some identifying captions:

In the video at the link you can see Ebbs and the rapist’s mom coming back to their table, probably from a visit to the loo. She sees the victims at their table and charges right over and starts her rant, right in their faces. The victims father gets up and pushes her away, at which point the four males at Ebbs’ table mob the guy while Ebbs continues her tirade. Eventually the rapist’s mom comes over and shoos one of the guys away, presumably her husband. Then she picks up all their stuff, ready to beat a hasty exit.

I don’t have any details of the rape cases. Perhaps they were violent assaults, perhaps they were statutory offenses with eager willing “victim” participants.

“Everyone relax, it was satire”: CNN Employee, Former Clinton Press Secretary, Caught Totally Making It Up

Satire has been redefined to mean “I told a whopper and later got caught at it”.

Joe Lockhart was ripped for making up a story about overhearing Republican senators who “only watch Fox News.”

Lockhart, who worked as White House press secretary in President Bill Clinton’s administration, tweeted a fictitious story about overhearing a few Republican senators explaining how they had never heard any of the evidence presented by the Democratic impeachment managers because they only watched to Fox News.

“Overheard convo between two Republican Senators who only watch Fox News. ‘Is this stuff real? I haven’t heard any of this before. I thought it was all about a server. If half the stuff Schiff is saying is true, we’re up shit’s creek. Hope the White House has exculpatory evidence,” Lockhart tweeted.

His story caught fire on Twitter and racked up nearly 5,000 retweets and over 17,000 likes. After his post went viral, he posted a follow-up tweet explaining that he made the whole thing up, writing, “Ok maybe I made up the convo, but you know that’s exactly what they’re thinking.”

...

After several people blasted him for making up the story, Lockhart returned to tell everyone to “relax,” tweeting, “Everyone relax. This is satire. Satire to make the point that Senators that are deciding the President’s fate who only watch Fox News have never heard this stuff before. Because Fox is part of the coverup.”

Right. Because Fox News hasn’t covered every single aspect of this in mind-numbing detail half a million times for years. Therefore they practically forced Lockhart to Tweet some crock. Poor guy was just, just triggered by their wrongness, no doubt.

Naturally, Lockhart’s correcting the record did not receive nearly as much attention as his original “report” of the alleged “conversation.” This follow-up tweet got less than 500 retweets and 5,200 “likes.”

To make this fake news even more rich, Lockhart hosts a podcast called “Words Matter,” which describes itself as “Dedicated to truth, facts and objective reality.”

The Babylon Bee owned the CNN analyst with this response: “Leave the satire to us; we’ll leave the fake news to you.”

...

Yet Lockhart would not back down. Rather than reconsidering his tweet and apologizing for it, he accused his critics of being conspiracy theorists.

“Seems like I poked the bear today. The purveyors of Pizzagate and the Seth Rich conspiracy are lecturing me on honesty. I told a joke, you guys are a destructive joke that is killing our democracy. Other than that, hope you’re enjoying the trial and have a nice evening,” the former White House press secretary tweeted.

My personal truth off the cuff opinion is, if anyone honest with authority can ever be found and assigned to investigate, it will turn out that Pizzagate was real and that Seth Rich suffered Arkancide for stealing all the DNC data and sending it to Wikileaks. Plus, he was never associated with any Russians in any way.

PS - Fox News reported the Pizzagate story with strong doubts, and mentioned that the Seth Rich “robbery gone wrong” conspiracy story was not proveable. Which is pretty honest reporting, I’d say.

Andrew Peek had previously worked for General John Allen, who took over the Afghanistan theater after Patraeus left, but held the job for only a short time until sexual misconduct allegations forced his retirement.

General Allen was used by Obama to push his false narrative about defeating ISIS.  Allen spoke at the 2016 DNC convention in support of Hillary Clinton.

Impeachment Inquiry “witness” Andrew Vindman worked directly for Andrew Peek.

Peek got the NSC SD job with the approval of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien.

Sounds like Teh Resistanz planted a mole who got caught being naughty, and now the whole chain of them are having a time-out.

President Donald Trump’s top Russia expert on the National Security Counsel is reportedly on leave pending a security investigation.

Andrew Peek, the NSC’s senior director for European and Russian affairs, was escorted from the White House grounds on Friday, two people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.

Peek had been in the NSC role for just two months, after most recently working as a deputy assistant secretary of state with responsibility for Iran and Iraq.

He replaced Tim Morrison, who left the position after testifying in the House impeachment inquiry. Morrison testified that the U.S. Ambassador to the EU, Gordon Sondland, had told him there was a quid pro quo in which U.S. aid to Ukraine was conditioned on the country’s government opening an investigation into Joe Biden and his son Hunter.

Morrison’s predecessor in the role, Fiona Hill, also testified as part of the impeachment inquiry.

Peek had been expected to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland next week with Trump and other top aides.

However, he is currently on leave pending a security-related investigation

Peek previously served as a deputy assistant secretary of State for Iraq and Iran, and he was seen as an ally of Robert O’Brien, who took over as national security adviser from John Bolton in September.

Prior to joining the State Department, Peek served as a U.S. Army intelligence officer who worked under General John Allen in Afghanistan. He was also a national security adviser to Senator Gordon Smith, an Oregon Republican, and Senator Mike Johanns, a Nebraska Republican.

Andrew Peek coming from the stable of John Allen tells us everything we need to know about the ideology of Mr. Peek.  There’s no doubt in my mind that Andrew Peek is therefore an ideological member of the resistance similar to another NSC appointment, Alexander Vindman.

Keep in mind, National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien also comes from inside the Dept of State.  So whether Mike Pompeo and Robert O’Brien set-up Peek as a mole, or whether Peek’s activities were discovered without their foreknowledge is an open question.  However, I find it impossible to believe that NSA Robert O’Brien didn’t know the ideology of Peek prior to the appointment.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said on Monday at MLK Now 2020 event, the Democratic Party was a “center or center-conservative party,” and “not a left party.”

Ocasio-Cortez said, “I wanted to go back to what you said about our left party. We don’t have a left party in the United States. The Democratic Party is not a left party. The Democratic Party is a center or a center-conservative party. We do not advocate for — we can’t even get a floor vote on Medicare for All, not even a floor vote, that gets voted down. We can’t even get a vote on it. So this is not a left party. There are left members inside the Democratic Party that are working to try to make that shift happen.”

She added, “But you’re right. It does convey a certain sentiment about true believers. And there are a lot of true believers in that we can capitalism our way out of poverty in the Democratic Party. If anything, that’s probably the majority. And that’s an area in which I agree with Dr. King that that assessment is flawed.”

So “capitalism” is now a verb? Of course, her idea of that verb is “tax and spend your way out of poverty”. And there is really damn little actual poverty in this country. She isn’t talking about acts of philanthropy done by the successful. She’s talking about government spending. Which is really the same as redistribution to the special people. Which is at best a kind of socialism, with major government control. Pretty much communism. Super leftism. So she’s tripped. Same old same old.

Tonight’s Dem Debate: Who Isn’t There Matters More Than Who Is

Just six Democrats will take the stage in Iowa on Tuesday night for the final primary debate before the 2020 Iowa caucuses.

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, former Vice President Joe Biden, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar and billionaire Tom Steyer have qualified for the debate at Drake University in Des Moines.

The debate will begin at 9 p.m. EST and be broadcast by CNN.

Most of the Democratic field did not qualify — including Entrepreneur Andrew Yang, Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar and former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick.

So we can soon probably add Yang, Bennet (who?), Bloomberg, Gabbard, Klobuchar, and Patrick to the ever growing list of roadkill,

So, 15 down, 5 on the way out, and half of the remaining 6 soon to go belly up (Buttigieg, Klobuchar, Steyr), leaving the real race to the commie, the sleepy creepy weirdo, and the grumpy old lying librarian. Gosh, what a race!!! Mooch and Hillary are going to have to step up to save us!!!!1!!

Wait, this article says Amy Klobuchar will be part of the debate, and it also says Amy Klobuchar didn’t make the cut to be at the debate. Well done. Fear not, other news sites say she will be up on the stage.
