Teachers, riots, studen demands and anarchists who promise more violence

One of the student rioters caught pissing against a famous and revered war memorial, said he was sorry but that he didn’t know what he was pissing on or that it had that significance.
No big deal?  Well, apparently he’s also a history major as I understand the report. School days, school days ....
Most have a very low opinion of the rioters BUT, even the kids who did try to be peaceful need to put their thinking caps on with regard to the increased fees the riots were ‘supposed to be about.’ They are NOT reading everything about it that they should. Why not?
Maybe this is a contributing factor. Ya think? I mean after all, their education had to start someplace and schools seem to be the logical place. Home aside.

One in four trainee teachers is a dunce: Thousands struggle to pass simple literacy and numeracy tests

By Sarah Harris
Last updated at 1:49 PM on 11th December 2010

Almost one in four trainee teachers cannot do simple sums and a fifth have problems with spelling, grammar and punctuation, worrying figures revealed yesterday.

Thousands repeatedly flunk basic numeracy and literacy tests and seek unlimited resits to pass.

Critics fear the poor quality of the next generation of teachers will have a devastating impact on their pupils.

Trainees have to pass basic skills tests in literacy, numeracy and ICT (information and communication technology) before they can qualify as teachers. The pass marks are just 60 per cent.

The latest figures from the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) reveal that in 2008/9 33,517 trainees passed their numeracy and literacy tests.

Some 77.7 per cent passed their numeracy test first time; 9.5 per cent (3,190) made two attempts and 12.8 per cent (4,298) – or one in eight – had at least three attempts.

In literacy, 80 per cent (26,814) passed first time; 11.6 per cent (3,892) had two attempts and 8.4 per cent had at least three.

The figures do not detail how many times trainees resit the tests beyond three. However one is reported to have taken the tests 27 times before achieving the pass rate.

Standards were far higher five years ago when would-be teachers sailed through their tests without relying on retakes.

For example, of the 32,717 trainees who passed their numeracy test in the academic year 2003/4, a respectable 83.6 per cent did so first time.

It is disheartening to read reports like the one published on Wed. in the Mail, comparing Brit schools with other countries.  The subject was dumbing down.
For example.

READING in the top 30 countries.
UK ranked 25

MATHS top 30 countries
UK ranked 28

SCIENCE top 20 countries
UK ranked 16

Would care to take a guess who was FIRST?

In ALL the above the top scores went to ...  Shanghai-China

Number two in READING was South Korea
Number two in MATHS was Singapore
Number two in SCIENCE was Finland

All other top scores (top 10) were Chinese again (Hong Kong) (Taipei) Finland, Canada, Japan, Netherlands

Well lets get back to the students herein England.  There are always splinter groups making demands for things whenever you have situations like the ones during this past week.
Here are a couple of things some students want.  Or in this case don’t want and say so.

They do not want SPORTS funding to be cut.
They do not want ART funding to be cut.

There’s a third but I will be darned if I can recall what it is. I must be having a senior moment.

Meanwhile ... while I try to remember what the heck the 3rd was but making no promises, I offer you this.

Tackling bad behavior ‘is not our job’, teachers claim

and you can read the article behind that headline HERE!
And finally ...

Student “leaders” promise more violence in coming weeks AND ... Praise any protester who” landed a blow to a copper -a brick through a window or a dent in car.” They are working class heroes, it is claimed.

They also claim that it was the police who started the riots. They also say, “In order to win, we need more violence on the streets, more hospitalised coppers, and many more attacks on the royals.”

Oh, by the way ... as mentioned under comments elsewhere .....

Some of the rioters were interviewed.  THEY COULD HARDLY SPEAK ENGLISH!!!!!!!

Students (?) close store for a hour over tax breaks to business … idiots on the left on the march.

First ... Hello to Franklin,TN if still there.

OK ... things that make a rant.  Like the enclosed.

I had never heard of the Woodcraft Folks before today. In fact, I can’t even find the article I’m looking at now, on line. And I have tried a 100 ways to bring it up. But of course, it’s the Telegraph and I should be used to it by now. Unfortunately, I’m not.

Therefore, rather try and copy the article, I’ll just give you the idea.

You already know about the student protests that started over an increase in college tuition.  Naturally, protests also mean destroying property. It also means that anyone opposing the rabble are right wing Nazi Fascist war mongers or words to that affect.

Now another protest group is hot and bothered because some businesses are avoiding taxes. In the latest case, it’s TopShop where the peace loving young managed to shut the store down. Of course it never occurs to the peace and freedom loving students that they are be depriving people who want to shop, the freedom to do so. No surprise as the only freedom that counts with the left is their freedom to disrupt others from going about their own legal business.

Now then, nobody here at BMEWS I’m reasonably sure will give a thumbs up to tax cheats or those who act in a criminal way to dodge what they owe. However, the thing these schmucks on the left don’t seem to understand is, it’s the government that gives the go ahead on tax forms to avoid some taxes. And what business will volunteer to turn down any tax break they can get?  But no matter, carrying signs proclaiming their allegiance to Socialism, these twits are out on the streets in this cause as well.
Which brings me to a group called Woodcraft Folks. Who are, a left wing version of the Scouts.  Fancy that.

Now then, these socially aware left wing lunatics are encouraging kids as young as 11 to take part in these demonstrations.  Some schools have been found to even give kids time off for this exercise.  WF leader took a group of 13 to 15 year olds to last week’s London protest.
Oh btw … Woodcraft Folks is also govt. funded. How about that?

Here’s what one commenter had to say which shows not all Brits have lost it.

Before targeting businesses we should be focusing our attentions on the far more wasteful and wealth destructive government.
No-one has to shop at TopShop but we all have to hand over our money to the government. That government can give away £13 billion in foreign aid, givea way our EU rebate worth over £1 billion a year, create unnecessary regulations and bureaucracy costing tens of billions a year.
I don’t blame Phillip Green for looking after HIS wealth. He is only accountable to his customers who can go elsewhere. Our governments are rarely accountable.
We need to stop paying hundreds of billions in benefits (including extending the housing benefit racket for another 8 months) before demanding more of other peoples money.

Topshop forced to close in tax avoidance protest

Britain’s largest fashion store was forced to close as activists unruly left wing dupes carried out a series of protests against tax avoidance by big businesses.

By Michael Howie

Topshop’s flagship branch on London’s Oxford Street turned away customers on one of the busiest shopping days of the year as around 200 protesters took over the store.

Security staff removed a number of campaigners who chanted slogans directed at billionaire Topshop owner Sir Philip Green, whose business five years ago paid a £1.2 billion dividend to his wife, Tina, who resides in Monaco.

Sir Philip was this year appointed as an adviser to the Government on efficiency in the public sector.
The protest was organised by UK Uncut, which used social networking sites Twitter and Facebook to carry out a national day of action against stores owned by Sir Philip’s Arcadia Group, which also owns Dorothy Perkins, Burton, Evans and Miss Selfridge.

The protest group, as revealed in The Sunday Telegraph last month, was set up by Thom Costello, an Oxford graduate from south London who now works as a television researcher.

About 200 protesters inside the store began chanting slogans after whistles were blown at 11am, signalling the beginning of a long protest that forced the store to close for more than an hour.

Security staff and police officers bundled protesters and journalists, including Polly Toynbee, as a largely peaceful demonstration briefly threatened to turn violent.

One 62-year-old campaigner told how he was “pinned to the ground” by security staff after complaining that a young woman had been mistreated inside the store.

The campaigner, who only gave his name as John, said: “A young woman was grabbed around the neck so I complained. Several security guards jumped on me and I was pushed to the ground. I could hardly breath – it was terrifying.”

MORE HERE

A note ... Polly Toynbee is an extreme far left Marxist/Leninist/Trotsky loving wacko who thinks everyone who doesn’t agree with her view from the left must be Himmler himself. She is very quick to invoke the Nazi tag in every argument.

good way to start monday. wishing someone dead. actually, there are a few but this case !"£!!!)

I think between Drew and myself we could start our own damn health alert. Although he’s in worse shape with that cough.
I doubt anyone noticed but I was not here yesterday laid up with my own darn off to bed day. Fine today because I’m loaded on pain killers so I don’t give a darn.
But I’m also damn well PO’d again. I am really steamed and wish this jerk would just die, or get hit by a bus.

Someday Mr. Cable I will return to my home country. You may visit as who knows. Anything is possible. You might find yourself in my part of the country. You might be walking across the street and BAM!  Oh gee. Really officer, I didn’t see the man. My foot slipped and hit the gas. Gosh. I am sorry. (snicker, snicker) Is he dead?
No? Oh, can I try again?

Mr. Cable for Yanks who don’t know the shit, is a member of the Lib/Dems.  Liberal Democrat Party. Those are the folks who always know what’s best for you and will be happy to do your thinking for you should you tire of the exercise. And even if you don’t.
Mr. Cable is the business secretary and finds it his bleeding business to try and stall and or influence the American practice of the Death Penalty.  So ... in an effort to do just that ......

Human rights victory as Vince Cable imposes restrictions on export of ‘execution’ drug to U.S.

By Daily Mail Reporter

Tighter controls have been imposed on the export of a drug used in the execution of U.S. prisoners.

Business Secretary Vince Cable today announced the move in an apparent backtrack after earlier refusing to ban sodium thiopental being exported for such use in America.

The sedative is part of a three-drug cocktail used in lethal injections in the US. The States has a shortage of the substance and many states have halted or slowed the pace of lethal injections while searching for alternative sources of the drug.

Last month, Arizona Chief Deputy Attorney General Tim Nelson confirmed the state used sodium thiopental from Britain to execute an inmate.

The statement came during the course of judicial review proceedings of Mr Cable’s refusal earlier this month to use his powers under the Export Control Act to impose an immediate ban on the drug’s export for execution purposes.

Nathalie Lieven QC, appearing for two death row prisoners, Edmund Zagorski and Ralph Baze, had told Mr Justice Lloyd Jones at London’s High Court that Mr Cable’s initial decision was irrational and unlawful as state executions were a clear violation of fundamental human rights the UK sought to protect, and the Government had reaffirmed its commitment to the global abolition of the death penalty.

She said that there was a national shortage of the drug in the US and the UK was the only known source, and there were ‘strong grounds’ for fearing that sodium thiopental from the UK had already been used in lethal injections.

Unless an export ban was imposed, further supplies from the UK could be used to execute her clients and many other prisoners.

And my feelings are equal for any fuckin foreigner who thinks our business is theirs as well. And I’m damn well pissed off at my own country for being in such a dumb position.  How do we let these things happen?  I can’t think of any excuse. Why is this drug only available here and the USA apparently doesn’t have the formula?  Why can’t we reverse engineer the recipe?  Steal the damn thing if need be.  Let em sue and be damned.  Abolition of the DP? Fine. In your fracked up liberal to the extreme system where your idea of penalties is a softly, softly approach while whack jobs are out free stomping and stabbing people and getting penalties like, “community service.”

I guess added to everything else I’m a mite frustrated because I’m still here, and unlike a prisoner who counts the days to freedom, I haven’t yet reached the point where I can even start counting. Try that on for size.  So I read this sort of thing and see it purely as other ppl sticking their unwanted nose into our back yard. And just for the official record.  I hate it when I think my own country does that for whatever reason.  Unless it’s in our national security interests.

Why isn’t our CIA or some other secret agency out there killing our enemies which include any politician of any country or any group of ppl or any organization who gets in our face?  Why is that maggot who initially gave away documents to Wikileaks still breathing?  I read that our people had been watching the shit who started it all for some time. And they let him live?  Why?

Nuts!

comrade teachers and MPs call out students for people’s demonstration

I did a smattering of this last week, but I have more here.  I want people to see what’s happened and the promise made for more of the same.
The outrage is that some politicians (left) and professors (left) have encouraged the vandals.

Honest protest is one thing. But when police are physically attacked and property damage occurs, that passes protest and become assault and criminal damage.
Here. Take a look at what some profs and Labour Party MPs have said is perfectly okay.

image

And these are a few of the comrade commissars who say right on. Good show gallant students. These are a few of the pols who make the laws and profs. who are responsible for the teaching indoctrination of comrade students, who have a god given right to an affordable college education.

And here are a few of the choice words they had to impart to the “students.”

Violent protests were ‘marvellous’ says veteran Labour MP as students announce next demonstration

By Daily Mail Reporter

* More protests planned for November 30

* Students critical of being held for hours in cold

A veteran Labour MP has been criticised for describing Tuesday’s student protests as ‘marvellous’.

David Winnick’s controversial remarks came as students announced they would take to the streets again on November 30 in protest at the Government’s planned increase in tuition fees.

Mr Winnick, the MP for Walsall North and a member of the Home Affairs Select Committee, said ‘As far as yesterday’s demonstration is concerned it was marvellous and gives a lead to others to follow.’

Stay Tuned .... they promised more in three days.  I wonder if the jerks and irresponsible lefty dirt bag politicians and professors would be willing to pay for all the damage they encourage.  Course not.

That’s what T A X P A Y E R S are for.

law and disorder and student protests make their point by attacking police and causing damage

The video below is from a week ago. There are more protests in other cities today. Students?  Well, not exactly all. But, there were some very good photos of a few in the hardcopy editions. Interesting. One of the so called students is the head of a student union and she’s a 37 year old marxist.
Another interesting thing .... some of the students aren’t even Brits .... and an awful lot of the ppl causing damage and committing assault, are kids from middle class families, many who live in expensive homes, the offspring of parents who are very far from being poor.

What this is all about is the increase in college tuitions. A very, very large increase. I think it’s going from £3,000 to £9,000. I’m certain about the 9.
That is a large increase all at once.  However .... the govt. is allowing an increase in the amount earned by students after graduating, before any loans must be paid back.  Example ....

Under the old system, they would start paying back once they earned £15,000 a year.  Now ... that figure has been increased to £21,000.  So no paybacks until they start earning £21,000.  And they have 30 years as I understand it.

Some of the young involved in these “protests” are as young as 13 or 14.  Seems to me they’re being a bit premature.  While it’s true not all are violent, the ones who are, are not really concerned with fairness and cost.  They are mostly left led and out for fun. Fun means attacking cops who unfortunately are not allowed to shoot the bastards dead. Fun means damaging property and setting fires.

One of last weeks agitators is actually a youngish lecturer at a college, who said the violent ones were brilliant and publicly encourages more of the same.

(note to Drew. heads up for mail on that sent today via snail)

This we have rights thing has been carried to such extremes, that it seems protests which may be honest at the start are ALWAYS, always taken over by the fringe group of pleasure seeking criminals with no jobs anyway, and are led happily and with great enthusiasm by the far left.
If there really were any justice, or anyone with the real desire to right things, these folks would be made an example of. But no luck there so look for more of the same in the future.

Almost forgot to mention it and just reminded by wife.  Just to make things even worse .....

A FRENCH STUDENT UNION HAS SENT OVER A CONTINGENT IN SUPPORT OF THE PROTESTERS.
whatcha think of them apples bmews readers?

Police officer ‘has his arm broken’ and another is knocked out as latest tuition fees protest turns ugly in Whitehall

By Daily Mail Reporter

Last updated at 3:44 PM on 24th November 2010

* Demonstrators smash into police van and steal uniforms
* Two officers injured as they clash with protesters
* Territorial Support Group rushed in to bolster police lines

* More protests in Cambridge, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow

Police officers appeared to be seriously injured today as angry demonstrators protesting against the hike in tuition fees again brought chaos to the streets.

Around 10,000 students and protesters flooded London for a new demonstration just a fortnight after anarchists unleashed mayhem at the Tory Party headquarters.

Scotland Yard, determined not to be caught on the hop a second time, ensured hundreds of officers were on duty and quickly reinforced numbers as flashpoints developed.

Two officers so far have been taken to hospital, one with a broken arm and another with a leg injury. Shocking footage outside the Foreign Office showed another being dragged to safety, apparently knocked out cold.

Huge crowds had attempted to break the security cordon outside the building but the line of police was quickly bolstered to ensure the barricades were not breached, unlike a fortnight ago.

The Territorial Support Group, who are more highly-training in public order containment, were then rushed in after protesters tried to batter their way to Downing Street using a barrier.

Many are also protesting because they want FREE tuition.  See photos at the link and more story.

Student, 13, told to remove Stars and Stripes from his bike ..  when will we start killing lefties?

This can only happen in a PC state in a situation with libtards in charge of things.  I really wish there were some way of removing the pc crowd, by any means, who are responsible for teaching and brainwashing a generation into buying into this sort of crap. Jeez I really hate the bastards.

Student, 13, told to remove Stars and Stripes from his bike… to avoid ‘racial tensions’ with other pupils

By Daily Mail Reporter
13th November 2010

A California middle school student was told to remove a U.S. flag from his bike to avoid ‘racial tensions’ with other pupils.

Cody Alicea, 13, was told not to fly the flag from his bike while at Denair Middle School, in Sacramento, after other students made complaints, according to KCRA-TV.

District superintendent Edward Parraz said that racial tensions at the school boiled over during the Cinco de Mayo holiday - a national holiday in Mexico.

Mr Parraz said: ‘The First Amendment is important. We want the kids to respect it, understand it, and with that comes a responsibility.

‘Our Hispanic, you know, kids will, you know, bring their Mexican flags and they’ll display it, and then of course the kids would do the American flag situation, and it does cause kind of a racial tension which we don’t really want.

‘We want them to appreciate the cultures.’

The teenagers parents said he flies the flag from his bike as a tribute to service veterans in his family.

His father Robert Kisner said: ‘He’s got that flag on his bike because he’s proud of where he comes from.’

The student folds the flag up and keeps it in his backpack during classes, the TV station added.

FLAG SOURCE

superintendent Edward Parraz said the following.

‘Our Hispanic, you know, kids will, you know’

Huh? you know, you know?  What’s with this guy? I think we can overlook a wetback accent. But should not a school superintendent be able to string a few words together better then that?
Word is that the flag was reinstated but I’m not pacified.  How could that happen to begin with? Teach the fuckin wetback kiddies that our flag takes precedence.  One right no immigrant motherhumper has, is the right to be ‘offended’ by OUR FLAG. Damn it! What the hell is wrong with ppl today?
If our flag offends you, get the fuck out of my country you stupid assed pile of shit.  And who the hell is teaching school kids that they should be offended in the first damn place?

Greenpeace claims to have shut down Greenland oil well

They evaded the police AND the Navy?  Somebody is not very serious about security here.

It’s like I have long believed.  These folks know what they can get away with. They know for certain that instead of bullets or mustard gas, the people they oppose will try and use words.  They will not want to hurt anyone.

I guess what bothers me so much about these people, is the idea that they have ALL the correct answers, and are willing to take on the job for all of us to be saved from the threats they see looming.  Like, the sky falling.  Of course, only homophobic fascists disagree with them and need to be silenced as only their opinion is allowed.

These people are nothing but a seagoing mob. The only way to deal with a mob, is to exterminate it.  Problem solved.

Some folks may differ but that’s how I see it.

Short video at the link.

Greenpeace claims its activists have shut down a ‘’dangerous’’ oil drilling operation by a British energy company in the Arctic.

from The Telegraph

The environmental group said four expert climbers in inflatable speedboats had evaded the Danish navy to climb up the inside of the Cairn Energy oil rig off Greenland.

The four campaigners are now hanging from the rig 15m above the icy Arctic ocean in tents suspended from ropes, halting its drilling operation, Greenpeace said.

The campaigners, who are protesting against what they claim are the ‘’huge risks’’ energy companies are taking with the environment by drilling for oil in deep water, say they have enough supplies to occupy the tents for several days.

They claim that if they halt drilling for a short time, Cairn will struggle to meet the deadline to complete exploration before the winter conditions set in, forcing the company to abandon the search for oil off Greenland until next year.

Sim McKenna, from the US, who is one of the climbers, said: ‘’We’ve got to keep the energy companies out of the Arctic and kick our addiction to oil, that’s why we’re going to stop this rig from drilling for as long as we can.

‘’The BP Gulf oil disaster showed us it’s time to go beyond oil.

And it’s this bit of quote that makes my point I believe.

Last week the campaigners said they were confronted by a Danish warship sent to protect the drilling operation in the seas off Greenland.

Greenpeace said it had been warned that the ship would be raided and the captain arrested if it breached a security zone set up in the area.

So what did happen?  Nothing except that the mob has occupied the rig.  Which is exactly what they knew might would happen.

WAS MCCARTHY CORRECT?  WERE THERE REALLY REDS UNDER OUR BEDS?

A couple of nights ago I tuned into BBC Radio 4 to catch this program.  I have no idea at all if any of you will be able to listen outside the UK.
My guess is that you can.
Give this a listen. It won’t be up and running more then 5 more days I don’t think.
According to this program, while his drinking finally did him in, he apparently had it right from the get go.  He may have used whatever he had for personal political gain. ?  What’s new there if he did?  But the bottom line is, he did have it right. Not only did he have it right, reds were so well infiltrated at almost every level that we’re still paying the price of a left wing liberal agenda.

I’m aware that many of you already knew or at least suspected this to be true, no matter what the personal faults and demons that plagued the senator.
I think what surprised me about this broadcast, was that it aired at all.  American radio doesn’t have time or scheduling for this sort of thing and so I am posting it here.  The BBC does have a reputation for being somewhat liberal leaning. Maybe they are. But they also are giving airtime to a subject that clears the air for many and appears to support what very many if not all right wingers have believed all along.

McCarthy had it right.  Ann Coulter said so last year and what flack she took.  Remember?

There is no way to embed this so here’s the link directly below.  I hope you’ll listen if you can.

http://search.bbc.co.uk/search?go=toolbar&q=McCarthy%3A+There+Were+Reds+Under+the+Bed

David Aaronovitch thinks the unthinkable about the McCarthy period.

The hunt for the so called ‘Reds under the beds’ during the Cold War is generally regarded as a deeply regrettable blot on U.S history. But the release of classified documents reveals that Joseph McCarthy was right after all about the extent of Soviet infiltration into the highest reaches of the U.S government.

Thanks to the public release of top secret FBI decryptions of Soviet communications, as well as the release under the fifty year rule of FBI records and Soviet archives, we now know that the Communist spying McCarthy fought against was extensive, reaching to the highest level of the State department and the White House.

We reveal that many of McCarthy’s anticommunist investigations were in fact on target. His fears about the effect Soviet infiltration might be having on US foreign policy, particularly in the Far East were also well founded.

The decrypts also reveal that people such as Rosenberg, Alger Hiss and even Robert Oppenheimer were indeed working with the Soviets. We explore why much of this information, available for years to the FBI, was not made public. We also examine how its suppression prevented the prosecution of suspects.

Finally, we explore the extent to which Joseph McCarthy, with his unsavoury methods and smear tactics, could have done himself a disservice, resulting in his name being forever synonymous with paranoia and the ruthless suppression of free speech.

Hearing from former FBI, CIA and KGB operatives as well as formerly blacklisted writers, David Aaronovitch, himself from a family of communists tells the untold story of Soviet influence and espionage in the United States.

What a Joke

Slap On The Wrist?

Not even that

New US sanctions against North Korea: stop selling them weapons, and no more caviar.

The Obama administration moved Wednesday to push new sanctions against North Korea over its nuclear weapons program, as Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Defense Secretary Robert Gates showed solidarity with South Korea during a visit to the area that separates it from the North.

Clinton announced the new measures — targeting the sale or purchase of arms and related goods used to fund the communist regime’s nuclear activities, and the acquisition of luxury items to reward its elite — after she and Gates toured the heavily fortified border in a symbolic trip four months after the sinking of a South Korean warship blamed on the North.

The penalties are intended to further isolate the already hermetic North and persuade its leaders to return to talks aimed at getting it to abandon atomic weapons. The U.S. is also trying to forestall future provocative acts like the torpedoing of the Cheonan, which killed 46 South Korean sailors.

With specifics of the sanctions still being worked out, the more striking demonstration of U.S. resolve came when Clinton and Gates — in a first for America’s top two cabinet members — together toured the demilitarized zone in the village of Panmunjom.

A photo-op at the DMZ is a “striking demonstration”? Oh please.

At one point, in the Military Armistice Commission building where officials from North Korea and the U.N. Command meet for talks, Clinton and Gates stood briefly on North Korean soil while a North Korean solider peered at them through a window.

I’m sure this will go into Hillary’s memoirs as another suicidal dash, running to avoid sniper fire. BFD.

Presenting the outlines of the fresh sanctions, Clinton said the North could win “the security and international respect it seeks” by stopping its provocative behavior, halting threats towards its neighbors and returning to denuclearization talks.

Details of the sanctions are being finalized, but Clinton and other U.S. officials said they would enhance and expand on existing international financial and travel sanctions. The U.S. will freeze additional assets, prevent more individuals from traveling abroad and collaborate with banks to stop suspect transactions, they said.

The U.S. will also seek to stop North Korea’s abuse of diplomatic privileges to carry out illegal activities, notably cigarette and currency counterfeiting and money laundering, they said.

Yeah right. You want sanctions against the NorKs, make them real. No food, no fuel, no sales of nothing. And we sic our own captive gang of Somali pirates on every one of your ships that goes into international waters. This latest effort is nonsense.

Such A Help

Hey, remember a few weeks back, when it was Global Environment Day or some such crap, and I posted on how the farmers in Haiti were “celebrating” that event by burning a whole shipload full of seeds that an eeeviil corporation had sent them, because after the earthquake the Haitians were hungry and had eaten all the seeds? And how one moonbat blogger had posted on how wonderful this was, and how her fervent wish was that Cuba would be helping Haiti out completely, since there was so much food in Cuba and nobody ever went hungry?

Well ... this might just indicate a) how totally full of daydreams and dogshit® your typical leftist moonbat blogger really is, and b) just how much excess food there really is in Cuba. ie, none.

Rice Riots in Havana port, Cuba

June 25 - Reports are starting to emerge of violent clashes between dockers and secret police in Havana, Cuba over a shipment of rice bound for Haiti, claiming it should stay on the island instead. Below is a translation of an article – date 16th June – being circulated in Spanish:
In the last few days we have been receiving reports of a serious incident that took place in the loading docks in the port of Havana, in which a large group of dockworkers emphatically refused to sanction the departure of a cargo of rice, bound for Haiti. The dockers protested violently, shouting that they were not prepared to assist the loading of the ship when their children were dying of hunger (rice apparently being effectively unavailable in Havana).
Confronted with the refusal of the dockworkers, “political police” arrived at the harbour and detained the most vocal protestors. According to reports, the ship was finally loaded by reservists from the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR).
Seeing as how no “independent journalist” (those who report on the “activities of the opposition”) has covered this, we had to find our own means of proving it. Today, having consulted various sources – including residents in the neighbourhoods of some of the detained individuals, such as El Calvario – we can confirm it as true.

Shiptalk

I guess that’s one more pile of ashes for the dustbin of history. Dream on moonbats, dream on.

WITH APOLOGIES TO MY BRIT FRIENDS BUT, WHEN IT COMES TO THIS SORT OF CRAP …..

If this sort of total bullshit isn’t stopped pretty damn soon, you really are well and truly doomed.
I am beyond anger or frustration with this kind of thing.  On the other hand, to give em left handed credit, the mus-slimes did carry signs saying to hell with freedom and hell to freedom of speech.  Which at that time they were themselves enjoying. Of course, THEY define what is and isn’t to be free I guess.

Imagine being “quizzed by the fuzz for saying this. But damn it, it is true.  I’m not upset with the police who after all must by the shit-ridden laws passed by the commie-sars in charge here, respond to complaints.  The fault isn’t theirs.  As for these hand wringing asswipes who wrap themselves in a flag of Human Rights, every single one with NO exceptions should be taken out.  It’s wet work sure but there are lots of patriots I’m sure who would be happy to volunteer to do the GOOD deed that needed doing.

Oh .. I almost forgot but this story just reminded me.  I have some good news to pass on. It’s a week old but better late then ....

A human rights lawyer was stabbed at his home about ten days ago. He bled to death.  I for one am very happy about that.  When I heard the story I couldn’t help but think, YES!  MORE-MORE.  ENCORE!

Some may regard that as somewhat extreme.  If you do, then you haven’t learned to hate enough. These slime are having a field day and have for years and look where its brought us.  I say we are all much better off with ALL of them graveyard dead.  If not all, then enough to discourage their followers. Alas, the west has no fist of steel. And no stomach for the job and the other side knows that.  That is why they are winning.

Please note, I am speaking strictly for myself. That’s my personal take on our world and the way I see it headed. All politically correct and social engineered and run by civil/human rights leftist bastards who enjoy the power and telling others how and what to think. Well screw em!

MP quizzed by police after saying ‘wearing burkha was like having paper bag over your head’

By Daily Mail Reporter

An MP was investigated by police for inciting racial hatred over controversial comments about the burkha following complaints from a human rights association.

Conservative MP Philip Hollobone said wearing the garment was the religious equivalent of ‘going round with a paper bag over your head’.

During a parliamentary debate last month he urged the House of Commons to ‘seriously consider’ banning the garment.

Now it has emerged police received a complaint about the Kettering MP a few days after his comments from the Northamptonshire Rights and Equality Council (NREC).

Officers rang Mr Hollobone to say a complaint had been made but the Crown Prosecution Service dropped the case a few days later as there were no grounds for prosecution.

Debates in Westminster are protected by parliamentary privilege but Mr Hollobone said the complaint could have related to comments made inside or outside the Commons.

He criticised the ‘hypocritical and ‘patronising’ NREC today for championing freedom of speech while attempting to have him prosecuted.

Last month the organisation sent the outspoken MP a letter criticising his stance on Muslim women who chose to wear the burkha in public.

Mr Hollobone said: ‘It’s complete hypocrisy. They talk on one hand about freedom of speech and expression and then without even making contact try to get me prosecuted.

‘In this country you should be able to have a debate about controversial subjects without the threat of police action. That’s how democracy works.

‘I am not going to be silenced by the threat of prosecution when all I am doing is speaking out about the concerns of my constituents.

‘If this had gone to court I would have defended myself.

‘I don’t blame the police at all, they are obliged to investigate reports of crime. That’s their job. But I am disgusted that the NREC should seek an MP’s prosecution.

‘I have been in correspondence with them and offered to meet representatives of local Muslim groups but that invitation is still outstanding.

‘The issue here is the covering of ones face in public. The nihab and the burkha are not legal requirements.

‘There are large numbers if immigrant women who will not be able to integrate into the British way of life if they cover themselves up.’

On March 11 Mr Hollobone used another Commons’ debate to mark International Women’s Day to reiterate his views on the burkha.

He said: ‘This is Britain. We are not a Muslim country. Covering your face in public is strange and to many people both intimidating and offensive.’ Burkhas are worn by an estimated 100,000 of the 2.4million Muslims in the UK.

Northamptonshire Police said the complaints related to comments made at the beginning of February in Parliament, although he also expanded on them in a local newspaper.

A police spokesman said: ‘It was brought to our attention and we looked into it but the CPS decided there was no case to answer here.’

Sounds like a Heinlein novel. He actually wrote one titled ‘Revolt in 2100’. Guess we’re 90 years early.

Vilmar’s version of Aesop’s Antz and Grasshoppers

I thought of Vilmar immediately upon recovering from Mountain Dew shooting from my nose:

Once upon a time, there was a happy-go-lucky grasshopper who lived only to have fun. All through the long summer days, he would sing and dance, and laugh at the industrious ants who were busily preparing for winter. But then cruel winter came, and the grasshopper was starving. In desperation, he approached the ants’ nest and begged for food. “You should have danced less and worked more,” the ants scolded him, but then, being basically kind-hearted creatures, they decided to give him a few of their hard-won crumbs.

The next summer was exactly like the one before: Once more, the ants worked without pause, while the grasshopper sang and danced. When winter came, he appealed to the ants again, only this time, he brought his 10,000 children along with him. “It’s thanks to your kindness,” he said, “that I made it through the winter, and was able to father these little ones. Surely, you won’t let us all starve to death.”

The ants convened a meeting of their Council to decide what to do. On the one hand, they felt a certain responsibility for the grasshopper and his huge brood; on the other hand, feeding 10,000 growing grasshoppers could make a serious dent in their winter provisions.

Finally, one Council member had a brilliant idea. “Let’s just take some food from the hardest-working ants. They’ve got more than enough, and won’t mind sharing their good fortune with the needy grasshoppers.”

The Council-of-Ants thought this was a splendid plan, and quickly acted on it. As a result, the grasshoppers survived the winter, the ants congratulated themselves on their compassion, and hardly anyone noticed that the hardest-working ants, whose food had been seized, left the nest in disgust.

Summer came around once again, and once again the grasshoppers danced and sang, while the ants toiled and saved. But without the hardest-working ants to do the heavy-lifting, the ants did not get very much accomplished, and barely accumulated enough food to get themselves through the winter.

And then, one cold and snowy day, the ants heard an ominous rumble approaching ever-closer. It was the sound of a million grasshoppers, all converging on their tiny ant-hill. “Since time immemorial,” Grandfather Grasshopper solemnly declared, “the ant people have shared their winter provisions with the grasshopper people. We demand that you do so now, immediately, or we’ll destroy your nest, and take by force what is rightfully ours.”

This is how the Dilemma of the Welfare State, aka the Entitlement Crisis, came into the world.

Oh, read the source here.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
