AVOID CHRISTMAS PUDDING BUT EAT SPROUTS TO HELP PLANET. some do believe that.

I think is was yesterday that Drew posted something and had an example of something really batty possibly with regard to elf and safety of maybe it was climate. I don’t recall exactly.  What I do recall is sending the link to this story.  Sort of like saying yeah well, if you think that’s nuts take a look at this.  I thought it might be a joke at first.  Apparently not.  Christmas pudding, once a year and even then not to everyones taste. yuk. Not mine I tell ya.

Oh yeah. The fact that much of this BS is the result of a study and report by a govt. quango say a lot. I guess they have to be seen to be doing something for the money they take off the taxpayer.

AVOID CHRISTMAS PUDDING BUT EAT SPROUTS TO HELP PLANET

For those who have never enjoyed Christmas pudding, you can now pass on the stogy dish smug in the knowledge you are helping the planet.

By Harry Wallop, Consumer Affairs Editor
Telegraph

Christmas pudding: bad for your waistline, bad for the environment

Christmas puddings are not just bad for your waistline, they are responsible for global warming, according to a report written by a Government quango.

Consumers who want to support British farmers and care about the cutting down on the environmental damage caused by the food chain, should instead think about ice cream and biscuits made with Kentish Cobnuts for their sweet dish at the end of Christmas lunch. Or they should consider a plate of Wensleydale cheese to finish their meal off.

Natural England, funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, has published a booklet called The Nature of England, designed to educate consumers about where their food comes from and how they can support the best British farming practices.

It has been backed by Prue Leith, the cookery writer,
who has suggested various recipes, which do not compromise “our desire to look after our wildlife and landscapes”.

In the foreword, she writes: “Even for those who’ve spent a lifetime working with or writing about food, it’s often hard to know which foods to buy, cook and enjoy that support our values, do least harm to the planet and are within our budgets.”

While the eggs and flour, which form the two key ingredients in Christmas puddings, usually come from Britain, the spices, sultanas, raisins and candied peel and brown sugar will all be imported.

Most Christmas pudding recipes, such as Delia Smith’s “traditional Christmas pudding” also include rum from the Caribbean or stout from Ireland, the zest of lemons and oranges – all of which will be grown or produced abroad and shipped to Britain.

A homemade vanilla ice cream, however, served with hazelnut sables will not only help cut down on the food miles, but also help nourish the British countryside, the booklet recommends.

The report suggests consumers hunt down Kentish cobnuts, a form of home-grown hazelnut. “It’s important to cherish and support food that has a positive relationship with the natural environment – Kentish Cobnuts are a great example to look out for. Occasionally, the endangered hazel dormouse is spotted foraging in cobnut platts.”

FEAR OF ARRESTING PIRATES DUE TO CLAIMS FOR ASYLUM.  THEN KILL THE SCUM. problem solved.

H/T LiveLeak

There isn’t anything to add that I might get away with.
Sad state of the world though.  Maybe the future belongs to the muzzies and pirates after all.

UK = Don’t nick pirates, they claim asylum!

THE Royal Navy has been ordered not to arrest pirates — in case they claim asylum.

Warships must simply watch if merchant vessels are attacked, it was revealed yesterday.

Meanwhile crews have been warned that fighting modern-day cut-throats could violate their HUMAN RIGHTS.

Last night seadogs were enraged by the shock decree to our proud fleet — once the scourge of buccaneers across the seven seas.

It comes amid an explosion of piracy off the East African coast, where ships have been hijacked by armed gangs and crews held for ransom.

Earlier this year Colin Darch, 70, of Appledore, North Devon, was freed with his five crew after 47 days when his ship’s owners stumped up £350,000.

Yesterday respected shipping newspaper Lloyd’s List revealed: “Foreign Office officials are understood to have advised the Royal Navy not to confront or arrest pirates in the region, for fear of transgressing human rights legislation or encouraging their seeking asylum once taken to the UK.”

Furious shipping chiefs confirmed the order following a summit with EU anti-piracy officials in Brussels — who said the Navy had been told its presence in the region was simply to act as a “deterrent” to kidnappers.

The European Community Shipowners’ Association demanded “direct action be taken against the pirates” — like the French Navy has been pursuing.

One captain stormed: “As a nation we should hang our heads in shame.” [yeah, you should!]

A dozen ships have been attacked in the past two months — and almost 200 seamen are currently being held captive.

Last night it was unclear who gave the order to the Navy.

The MoD said its rules of engagement were an issue for the Foreign Office.

But the FO insisted: “We don’t give the MoD instructions on how to operate.”

So now authorities have to worry about upsetting young thugs, by calling them “YOUTHS”

It just gets crazier and more stupid with each passing day.
Oh btw ... children starting age 5 are to be instructed in school about good behavior. Not a bad thing in case parents missed that one.
Also ... boys are to be instructed that they should NEVER hit a girl.
You need school for that?  We were taught that at home but then, in my day before sex was invented and girls weren’t mean as many are today, it was a given.  We always tried to be on good behavior in front of girls. Or else we were making fools of ourselves by showing off. The girls funnily enough were never impressed.  Another funny thing about that long dead world.  Boys were not busy looking for their inner female, and girls were not trying to be boys.  I could go on but you get the idea.

Teen offenders are ‘young persons’ not ‘youths’… it might upset them, say ministers

By Steve Doughty, Social Affairs Correspondent
28th November 2009

It is not a word usually associated with causing offence, even when those referred to have broken the law.

But ‘youth’ has been banned from guidelines on the treatment of criminals aged 16 and 17 - because ministers think it is too demeaning.

Instead, offenders must be referred to as ‘young persons’ in the latest code for prosecutors. The newly fashionable phrase is used 101 times in the document.

The change of wording was mocked yesterday by the Tories, who described it as the ‘bizarre’ invention of a new taboo.

Shadow Justice Secretary Dominic Grieve added: ‘Yet again, ministers have shown that they are more bothered about pandering to political correctness than coming down hard on the crime and antisocial behaviour that blights communities.’

The code for prosecutors on issuing Youth Conditional Cautions to 16- and 17-year- olds has been rewritten following a consultation over an early draft.

Officials at Jack Straw’s Ministry of Justice and Ed Balls’s Department of Children, Schools and Families said: ‘A number of responses suggested the term “youth” had negative connotations and should be replaced by “young persons”.’

Disapproval of language considered to give the wrong impression has been a hallmark of Labour’s years in power.

Its Youth Justice Board has tried to prevent ‘gang’ in case it criminalises youngsters who gather together. It prefers crime committed by such gatherings to be described as ‘group-related’.

Similarly, Scotland Yard refers to ‘group rape’ or ‘multi-perpetrator rape’ to avoid ‘emotive’ language.

Even prison officers have been told to observe correct priorities by addressing inmates as ‘Mr’.

However, ‘youth’ appears likely to cling on for some time in government lingo.

A spokesman for the Youth Justice Board, run by the Ministry of Justice to cut crime among the young, said: ‘We have put a lot of research into branding, and we haven’t heard anything about this. We have no plans to change our name.’

Surrounded by three Saturday papers and reading same between sneezes and coughs, the wife saw a short article in one of the papers and she really caught my attention.  While she’s very critical of this govt., I had never before heard her exclaim, as she did this morning, that someone needs to finally pull the plug and flush what’s left of the country out to sea.
The reason for her upset was an article wherein a minister of the church has said that people should not be wishing other people a Merry Christmas as it is potentially offensive.  Which was one story on top of a couple others that got her goat.

I really need to find a nice quiet cave somewhere.

Having managed to catch the very worst cold known to humankind ,,, LOL

I say that cos rotten as I feel, and boy am I sick this morning, the ladies always remind us that when men catch a cold, it’s always the worst in the world ever.  Like if Drew or Lyndon or anyone else at BMEWS comes down with a bug, it can’t possibly be worse then mine.

Started yesterday when my throat started to feel like I swallowed broken glass.  Then the sneezing and all the rest but somehow I managed to bravely survive the day. Woo-Hoo.

Anyway, been up half the night and am only up at the moment waiting for a repairman.  Will leave the wife to deal with it because jokes aside ppl,
I do not need to be at a computer today. In fact, I’m headed back to bed.  But first ...

When I came downstairs this morning the first thing that caught my eye and my anger (again) was this not so new story.  I never posted the original as there was so much else of like or worse things going on.  But this update really caught my attention.  This vile excuse for a human, now age 15, was on the phone and all giggly at her trial for manslaughter.  Actually, there are two sluts involved here.  What I can’t understand is how one of the slags was allowed to have a cell phone in court, during her trial.  During which it’s reported, she was joking and taking off her lawyer’s wig and placing it on her own head.  I’m referring now specifically to the slag of Turkish extraction whose name is Hatice Can.
This quote give you some idea of her mindset.  After the bullied victim lay dying in the street ....

As she lay dying on the street below, Can looked over her body and said: ‘Serves you right, bitch.’

And she’s allowed a phone in court?  Great system they have here.  She wasn’t so jolly when the sentence was passed but hey, she and her friend of darker hue, accomplice Oluwakemi Ajose, will soon be free to find new victims and perhaps new and more inventive ways to kill them.

How the damn hell does one pronounce Oluwakemi?  Freak names and freak life forms. Just look at her photo.

Justice would be tossing both these worthless bags of shit off the roof of a building.  We won’t hold our breath.

What makes the story sadder still is that the victim in this case was adopted and brought from the slums of Brazil to a “better” life here.
Yeah right. A better life in broken Britain.

Guilty, girl of 13 who bullied a vicar’s daughter to death

By Arthur Martin
Last updated at 12:56 AM on 19th November 2009

A ‘manipulative and callous’ girl of 13 who relentlessly tormented a vicar’s daughter to the point where she jumped 50ft to her death was found guilty of manslaughter yesterday.

Hatice Can and accomplice Oluwakemi Ajose, then 17, subjected Rosimeiri Boxall to a terrifying campaign of bullying for two years.

Rosimeiri, 19, who had been adopted and brought to Britain from a Brazilian slum, was punched, slapped, pulled by her hair, sprayed in the eyes with deodorant and branded a ‘whore’ and a ‘slag’.

Last night, the Reverend Simon Boxall, who adopted Rosi in Brazil with his wife Rachel before bringing her to Britain, said: ‘We continue to pray for those who are responsible for Rosi’s death. We want them to know that we forgive them. That does not mean that what they did doesn’t matter, of course it does.

‘Forgiveness means that we refuse to be shackled by bitterness and our prayer is that forgiveness will allow the girls to be released from the burden of what they did.’

He added: ‘We still miss her greatly, but we do not for an instant regret the decision we took to adopt her. She has given us so many moments of pure joy and we are thankful for those times.’

At the age of 13, Can is one of the youngest girls in Britain to have committed manslaughter. Britain’s youngest female killer is Mary Bell, who committed murder when she was just 11. She was found guilty of killing two children in 1968.

A few days before her death, Rosi moved into Ajose’s apartment - situated within a housing unit run by Greenwich Council in Blackheath, South-East London.

Last night, the council said Ajose was simply a council tenant and was not subject to any additional supervision.

Can, who occasionally lived in the flat, essentially led a feral life. She flitted between addresses, having little to do with her unemployed parents.

image

Two years before the fatal attack, when Can was only 11, she had pushed Rosi off a wall and threatened another girl with a knife. Before Rosi’s death both girls had set her

trousers on fire on a kitchen hob. Other victims of the pair told how they had been locked in bedrooms and had a mobile phone charger flex wrapped around their hands.

On the day of Rosi’s death, May 17 last year, she was relentlessly bullied by Ajose and Can who were both drinking from a vodka bottle.

The 13-year-old became intensely jealous of Miss Boxall after Shane Francis, 20, made it clear he liked her better than Can.

Raffaelina Asli, whose son George lived in a flat below, heard the commotion and offered to help Rosi. But she refused and replied tearfully: ‘I’m fine - they’re my friends.’

Shocking mobile phone footage filmed by Miss Asli’s son 30 minutes before Rosi’s death shows Can screaming orders to hit her ‘lower, lower’ as Ajose slaps her head and pulls her from a bed by her hair.

Despite her age, Can, whose parents are Turkish, was described by police as the ‘leader of the gang’ and the ‘boss’. Can, now 15, was well known to social services because she had run away from home in Belvedere, Kent, several times.

The police source said: ‘Can is manipulative and callous - the leader of the gang. She has never shown remorse, ever. She has not shed a tear for Rosi, ever. Quite frightening for a girl of her age. Can is a big bully.’

Yesterday, Ajose, of Charlton, South-East London, was remanded back to a psychiatric hospital. Can was remanded into the care of her local authority.

Other photos and the rest of the article is HERE

remanded back to a psychiatric hospital

Oh good. So some shrink who’s really nuts and fooled by the actress in this piece of filth, will declare her safe and cured and set the bitch free.
Come into my web said the spider ....

image

Meanwhile the idiot adoptive parents have found “Christian Forgiveness” for the rotten, feral skanks.  And sorry as I am for the victim, I have to wonder just what the heck she herself was doing hanging with this miserable pair. ???  Lots of unanswered questions. Whatever, she didn’t deserve to have her life cut short.

That’s it. I outta here.  Over to you Drew.

Citizenship lessons to teach children respect for worms AND insects too. Don’t step on bugs kids.

So I guess if during the season when they are active, if your kitchen or some other part of the house suddenly experiences an invasion of ants, the thing to do is either politely ask the ants to leave, or else carry them outside.
Or, you could threaten them with an ASBO.  Ants might be smart enough to be frightened by that, but I don’t think spiders would buy it.

I think they’re gonna have to make a special case with regard to boys whose natural inclination might be to step on almost anything that crawls.
But not to worry.  The way things are working out here now, maybe in another generation the engineers will have more boys thinking like girls with regard to crawlies and won’t go near em.

Citizenship lessons to teach children respect for worms

I love you, Mr Worm: By age seven children will have learnt not to stamp on ‘mini-beasts’

Marie Woolf, Whitehall Editor
The Times

Good citizenship is not just a question of respect for one’s fellow humans, it seems. The government has decreed that children should be taught not to hurt a fly.

New curriculum guidance says citizenship classes should pay due regard to the wellbeing of what it calls “mini-beasts”, including bees, ants and worms.

The classes are part of the “animals and us” section of the primary school citizenship curriculum. It says children can become “active citizens” by learning that “other living things have needs and they have responsibilities to meet them”.

By the age of seven pupils should have learnt that “humans have a responsibility to ensure the wellbeing of animals, including mini-beasts” and will have been told rules for “behaviour in areas where animals live”: for example, “not stamping on insects”.
Related Links

The model lessons, which are not compulsory for schools, have been drawn up by the Department for Children, Schools and Families.

Children are also taught that it is against the law to leave dogs in cars on a hot day or to disturb fledglings in nests.

Rhiannon Pursall, a beetle expert at the Royal Entomological Society, welcomed the move. “A lot of children do not recognise insects as animals. They stamp on ants and torture spiders, but they wouldn’t kill a cat or a dog,” she said.

“The younger that children can learn about caring for insects the better. If they can grasp the idea that insects are just as important as animals, that would be fantastic.”

Andrew Rosindell, the Conservative animal welfare spokesman, said it was important that schools had a sense of proportion. “All creatures great and small have their place in the world, but I hope children learn that swatting a mosquito is not as serious as inflicting pain on a puppy,” he said.

A spokesman for the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency, which drew up the guidelines, said insects were included because it was “important that young people develop an awareness of the responsibilities that flow from human relationships with the natural world”.

It added: “The loss of individual organisms, however small, may have unforeseen consequences for a whole habitat.”

Health and safety inspectors are to be given unprecedented access to family homes .

Well so much for that silly man and his castle thingy.
Today England ... Tomorrow, who knows.

Health and safety snoops to enter family homes

From The Sunday Times
November 15, 2009

Robert Watts

Health and safety inspectors are to be given unprecedented access to family homes to ensure that parents are protecting their children from household accidents.

New guidance drawn up at the request of the Department of Health urges councils and other public sector bodies to “collect data” on properties where children are thought to be at “greatest risk of unintentional injury”.

Council staff will then be tasked with overseeing the installation of safety devices in homes, including smoke alarms, stair gates, hot water temperature restrictors, oven guards and window and door locks.

The draft guidance by a committee at the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (Nice) has been criticised as intrusive and further evidence of the “creeping nanny state”.

Until now, councils have made only a limited number of home inspections to check on building work and in extreme cases where the state of a house is thought to pose a serious risk to public health.

Nice also recommends the creation of a new government database to allow GPs, midwives and other officials who visit homes to log health and safety concerns they spot.

The guidance aims to “encourage all practitioners who visit families and carers with children and young people aged under 15 to provide home safety advice and, where necessary, conduct a home risk assessment”. It continues: “If possible, they should supply and install home safety equipment.”

The proposals have been put out to consultation and, if approved, will be implemented next year.

Matthew Elliott, of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, said: “It is a huge intervention into family life which will be counter-productive.

“Good parents will feel the intrusion of the state in their homes and bad parents will now have someone else to blame if they don’t bring up their children in a sensible, safe environment.”

About 100,000 children are admitted to hospital each year for home injuries at a cost of £146m.

Immigrant baby killer is paid £4,500 ‘bribe’ to quit Britain. It’s called the justice system. R

Last week a drunk driving a stolen car was given six years for killing two women.
This bag of total poo got what? Read on.  See the link for the full story although this pretty much says it all.

There’s just no understanding how courts arrive at the jail terms they hand out.  If this isn’t a death penalty case then I have never heard of one.

Real justice would be having her know what it feels like, by doing the same to her.
Oh yeah ... why manslaughter? Where did that come from?  Right. She didn’t think she might actually kill the kid by what she did. I still call it murder in this case. Whatever .... she doesn’t deserve money. She deserves a like death.

Fury as immigrant baby killer is paid £4,500 ‘bribe’ to quit Britain

By Brendan Carlin
15th November 2009

Agnes Wong swung the baby by his ankles and smashed his head

image

An immigrant convicted of the horrific killing of a 17-month-old baby has been given £4,500 by the Government as a ‘bribe’ to leave the country.

Malaysian Agnes Wong, 29, was jailed for five years in 2008 for the brutal manslaughter of a toddler she was supposed to be child-minding.

She was let out of prison in July this year, and two weeks ago was put on a plane at Heathrow and sent to Malaysia with a ‘voucher’ worth £4,500 to spend when she got there.

Wong was jailed after a court heard how she had swung the boy, Hugo Wang, by his ankles and smashed his head. He died of brain injuries.

Wong’s payment has sparked disbelief and outrage, coming just days after the Prime Minister said he understood the public’s mounting concerns over immigration.

Tory immigration spokesman Damian Green said: ‘Only last week, Gordon Brown said he “gets it” on immigration but this is proof he doesn’t get it. For an immigrant who killed a child to get taxpayers’ money to help with her future life is nothing short of appalling.’

Mr Green demanded to know why Wong had not been automatically deported without a penny of public money.

‘Even while Labour repeatedly boasted about introducing automatic deportation for people like this, it now appears they have been using public money to help people get round that very system,’ he said.

The horrific story of Hugo’s last hours caused national revulsion when Wong’s sadistic behaviour was exposed in court.

The unregistered childminder, who came to the UK in 2003, was paid £120 a week to look after Hugo in her home in Salford, Greater Manchester, while the boy’s parents worked 16 to 20 hours a day to make ends meet.

She was accused of waging a ‘regime of terror’ against him, torturing him with a hairdryer and hitting him so hard with a ruler that it snapped.

Hugo died in January 2007, a day after he was taken, unconscious, to hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.

He had been struck with such force that his brain had shifted in his skull and caused internal bleeding. Doctors also found bite and burn marks on his body.

Wong, who denied murder, was found guilty of manslaughter but was sentenced in May 2008 to just five years in prison.

The Mail on Sunday has now learned that Wong served only the minimum jail term of two-and-half years, including her time in custody before and during the trial.

Just two weeks ago, she was deported to Malaysia under a controversial ‘Facilitated Returns Scheme’ under which foreign prisoners are paid up to £5,000 if they agree to leave the UK as early as possible without fighting their deportation using human-rights laws or by claiming asylum.

So far, around 1,000 have left the UK and been given the money.

It is not known for certain whether Wong - who used the anglicised name Agnes, although her Malaysian name is Siew Teng - entered Britain legally or illegally. However, any immigrant who commits a serious crime can forfeit their right to remain in Britain and can be deported.

David Wood, the UK Border Agency’s director of criminality and detention, defended the scheme, saying: ‘We don’t want foreign criminals in the UK. Every day that we can get these individuals out of the country early removes the risk they present to UK citizens and saves our taxpayers more than £100 a night in detention costs as well as administrative and court costs.’

As Wong boarded a plane at Heathrow on November 2 bound for Kuala Lumpur, immigration officials handed her a letter confirming that she was entitled to a ‘reintegration fund’ payout of up to £4,500.

Heterosexual couple want to ‘marry’ in civil partnership to protest against ‘anti-gay’ marriage

This is actually a nothing full of beans will go nowhere kind of story.  I suspect the Telegraph only ran it because they needed filler.
So just why am I posting it here?  Ah .... Because not only is couple a pair of idiots looking for their 15 minutes ...
Read the article and you’ll quickly spot at least one reason this place is doomed as long as jerks like this belong to .....

A heterosexual couple hope to become the first in the UK to “marry” in a civil relationship to protest against their belief that marriage is “apartheid” against homosexuals.

Nick Britten
Sat. Telegraph

Tom Freeman and Katherine Doyle, both 25, have so far duped Islington Council by registering their intent only using their initials and surnames.

The civil servants, who live in Holloway, north London, and have been together nearly four years, said they want the same legal rights as a husband and wife, but did not want to enter an institution that is closed to homosexuals.

The couple are to give ‘notice of their intention to form a civil partnership’ at Islington Town Hall on November 24. The venue is one of the most popular in Britain for gay ‘marriages’.

Miss Doyle said that marriage was “an apartheid of sorts” because it excluded homosexuals.

She said: “Getting married would condone that and the whole idea of common law partnerships is an urban myth. They don’t exist, so we are excluded from the legal benefits.

“For Tom and I a civil partnership is the obvious alternative but we can’t have it.”

Mr Freeman added: “‘We are at the stage other couples might usually get married but we feel the only course of action is to campaign for desegregation.”

Under the 2004 Civil Partnership Act, only members of the same sex can enter into a civil partnership.

A spokesman for Islington Council said the ceremony would not be allowed to take place.

“Like all councils we must follow the requirements of the Civil Partnership Act 2004, which states that to qualify for a Civil Partnership, couples must be of the same sex. So our hands are tied,” he said.

So this pair of schmucks are civil servants huh. Oh boy.

Violent criminal brags how “cushy” the jail is, says it’s worth coming back

Tell ya what folks. I don’t think that simply braggadocio.  Not at all.

The creep stabbed this young fellow, went to jail and insists he’s coming after his victim again.

I just hope the victim in this case somehow manages to find a way to get a gun.  Threats should ALWAYS be taken seriously.

Screw the stupid unreasonable gun laws.  The cops can’t watch his back forever.

One thing this case does prove.  Jail doesn’t work.  Cap.Punishment does. It guarantees the perp. won’t be around to do it again.

‘I’ll finish you off’: Teenage thug jailed for stabbing boy taunts his victim on Bebo

By Daily Mail Reporter
Last updated at 11:11 AM on 13th November 2009

A thug jailed for stabbing a boy in the chest has taunted his terrified victim from prison via the social networking website Bebo.

The 17-year-old, who was released today, nearly killed schoolboy Daniel Davenport 16 months ago.

He made online threats to his victim on the popular social networking site that read: ‘When I get out I’m coming to finish you off.’

Today A-level pupil Daniel, 17, who is hoping to study at Oxford, told of his fear that he will be attacked again.

He said: ‘I admit I am scared and I’m having nightmares about what might happen.

‘He has been inside for 16 months and from what he’s been saying on Bebo he’s not been rehabilitated.’

Daniel had been riding his bike through Cardiff city centre in July 2008 when the youth attacked, stabbing him in the chest, narrowly missing his heart.

A judge at Cardiff Crown Court jailed him for 32 months after the youth admitted grievous bodily harm, wounding with intent and possessing a blade in a public place.

But during his sentence the teenager was given access to a computer, and began communicating with his friends on Bebo.

‘I was told by some friends that he had been threatening me on Bebo.

‘They showed me the messages on their computers and I was shocked by what I read.

‘One message said: “When I get out I’m going to stab that **** again.”

‘Another one said: “I wish I knew it was going to be this cushy - I’d have done him earlier. I don’t mind coming back inside for him.“‘

Daniel is currently studying A-level history, law, politics and business studies and hopes to become a barrister.

The two boys had been friends prior to the attack when they played for the same football team in Cardiff, but fell out after the youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, assaulted a local shopkeeper.

‘I told him I didn’t want to mix with criminals and after that he started threatening me,’ said Daniel.

The schoolboy’s father, Mark Davenport, 42, reported the online threats to the police, but admits the response has been slow.

He said: ‘The police went to Bebo to get information to discover where the messages came from.

‘But they have been very slow. I think Bebo has an obligation to provide this information and to do all they can to protect children.

‘I’m completely dumbfounded as to why they are dragging their feet over this. My only concern is for Daniel.’

South Wales Police confirmed they are investigating an allegation of a threat.

A spokeswoman said: ‘A 17-year-old male has been arrested and bailed. Inquiries are ongoing.’

Bebo confirmed they are investigating but refused to comment further.

AN UNRELATED STORY

I have to shut down soon as possible but want to leave you with this example of twisted non justice.

This despicable, miserable looking pile of human filth recently killed two women while driving drunk in a stolen car.
He has a LOOOOOONG record of this kind of behavior but somehow the filthy bastard was out free to continue his lifestyle.

Am I more pissed then usual? Maybe not because I have just seen as bad on line for tomorrow’s paper.

The thing that has me all worked up isn’t just the slime killer. It’s what he was given in jail time.

12 YEARS PEOPLE.  TWELVE FREEKIN YEARS.  Far as I am concerned, that’s like saying the lives of the innocent he took were only worth six years each.  WTF!

Let us see now. How an we help police and spend money. Got it. Publish book on how to ride a bike.

batbatbatbatbatbatbat

Ok I know things can get pretty stupid here, but I’m not certain if they can get more idiotic and waste more txpayer money then this.
On second thought, yeah. They have come up with stuff somewhat dumber.  But this really does rank very high in the DOH awards list.
And if the mayor (who hasn’t read it yet) thinks it may have value, then he’s smoking smoking funny or maybe having just one glass too much.

A 93-page guide on how to ride a bicycle – including advice on the need to carry out a risk assessment before removing one’s helmet - has been drawn up for Britain’s police forces.

By Matthew Moore
13 Nov 2009

The Police Cycle Training Doctrine was drawn up by biking enthusiasts in forces across England and Wales.
The two-volume tome offers lengthy guidance to constables on skills that most children have mastered by the age of 12, such as how to maintain balance at corners.

It even reminds officers that they must not attempt to detain suspects while in the saddle – or “engaged with the cycle” in the words of its authors.
The Police Cycle Training Doctrine was drawn up by biking enthusiasts in forces across England and Wales and submitted for the approval of the Association of Chief Police Officers (Acpo), but its officials yesterday distanced themselves from the contents.

Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London and a passionate cyclist, led the chorus of derision, saying that while the guide’s advice was “very, very sound”, it did not represent value for money. Thousands of pounds were reportedly spent putting the full colour publication together.

“I am sure it is of great value, I haven’t seen it, but I think you can do this kind of thing much, much more cheaply,” Mr Johnson said.

The mayor has already proved himself a master of mobile crime fighting, dismounting from his bike to save a filmmaker from attack by a hooded gang in the capital earlier this month.
Officers from the police’s national working group for cycling training, which wrote the book, declined to comment. But independent bike safety experts said there was no need for police to devise their own basic training guide.
“I would like to remind Acpo that the national standard for cycle training covers all the basics of cycling skills and road sense,” said Greg Woodford of CTC, the national cyclists’ organisation.

“I’d recommend all police cyclists pass their level three [cycling test] and encourage Acpo to work alongside what has already been developed.”
Mark Wallace of the TaxPayers’ Alliance campaign group added: “This guide is an absurd waste of police time and taxpayers’ money. Police officers are perfectly capable of riding a bike.”

An Acpo spokesman insisted that the doctrine was never intended to become official policy, and would not be issued to rank-and-file officers.
“This work was neither requested nor drawn up by Acpo and we do not endorse it,” she said.
“It was put forward by a group of well-meaning police officers with an interest in this area. Acpo will not be taking it forward.”

Rules from the police cycle “doctrine”

Always wear padded shorts to ensure “in-saddle comfort”

Consume sufficient food and “adequate liquids” before setting off

Listen to instructions when cycling in formation. If your leader shouts “Move to double file”, move to double file

Undercover officers should carry out a “risk assessment” before removing their helmets

Take care to avoid the kerb during “deployment into a junction” - or turning the corner

So then.  Whatcha think BMEWS?  These folks on to something? Or maybe some spare cash was found in the public kitty and it had to be spent?

THERE’S PATHETIC, AND THEN THERE’S PATHETICALLY SCHTUPID. THIS IS EVEN BEYOND THAT.

WHYADUCK.  (The Marx Bros.)

Well now this is so beyond the fringe that I will make no comment on it.  The story will, as you’ll see, speak for itself.

Here’s one comment however from the comments section to give you some idea of the article ahead.

How pathetically stupid can these council idiots get? The bread that was given to the ducks was eaten and therefore would not attract rats, only more ducks. Where was the evidence--sorry it was eaten by the ducks!

Mother caught feeding ducks fined £75 for littering (but warden says her toddler son can as he’s too young for a ticket)

A mother has been fined £75 for feeding ducks in a park with her toddler son.

Vanessa Kelly had taken 17-month-old Harry on his weekly visit to the to feed ducks when she was approached by a council warden.

She put away the bread as soon as the warden told her duck feeding was not allowed in the park, in Smethwick, Birmingham.
A mother has been fined £75 for littering after she was caught feeding the ducks with her toddler son

But the warden pulled out a hand-held computer and issued her with a fine for littering.

Miss Kelly, who was in Smethwick Hall Park at 4pm on Tuesday, claims she was then told by the warden that her son could carry on throwing the bread ‘as he is too young to prosecute’.

She said: ‘I had Harry on my hip and a bag of bread in my hand and we were both throwing crumbs to the ducks as the warden approached.

‘I didn¹t think anything of it and certainly didn’t think we were doing anything wrong, which is why I was surprised when she stopped me.

‘She explained that it was banned because it could attract vermin, and I said it was fair enough and fastened the bag. I couldn¹t believe my eyes when she then pulled out a little computer and started to issue a ticket.

‘To be fined £75 for taking your child to feed the ducks is an absolute disgrace. I will be fighting this fine all the way.’

The 26-year-old, from Oldbury, Birmingham, said that although there was a sign in the park warning of the dangers of ‘overfeeding’ the birds there were no signs warning that people could be fined.

Sandwell Council today defended handing out the fine to Miss Kelly for dropping bread, claiming it attracts rats.

Miss Kelly has now made an official complaint to the authority.

DAWN RAID ON GRANDAD NETS POLICE ONE BAD DUDE, CHARGED WITH USING A BAD WORD ONCE.

batbatbatbatbat

So what we have here is some damn stupid weeny who got frightened by a man using one bad word.  The infamous ‘F’ word.
And he’s arrested cos that word caused fear and stress?  Yup.  Seems so, according to this.

Hey .... if 1939 happened with this generation in charge of things, it would have been a cakewalk for the Germans. It would been all over by 1940 and the USA would perhaps only have been faced with Japan.  And the Italians would still have exported pasta and Pizza only a few years earlier.

Tell ya what bothers me a lot though.  I know a lot of very kind and decent people here who have shown me nothing but friendship and kindness.
I just mean to say there’s an awful lot of good folks here and they do not deserve what’s happening to their country.  Some of the ppl I know are quite old and of that generation.  How depressing for them. How depressing for all of us on both sides of the Atlantic.

Grandfather arrested at dawn and held in a police cell for six hours for swearing once at council official

By Daily Mail Reporter
Last updated at 6:49 AM on 11th November 2009

A grandfather was arrested at dawn and held in a police cell for six hours for using a single swear-word in front of a council official.

Thomas Catcheside, 67, had his fingerprints and DNA taken, before being issued with an £80 fixed-penalty notice.

His arrest followed a dispute with a council official about ‘dangerously slippery’ communal stairs in his block of flats in Cambridge.

Mr Catcheside, who is chairman of his residents’ group, has been campaigning for three years for safety improvements.

But when an official visiting the site prevented him from listening to a phone call to his supervisor on October 30, he finally lost his temper and said: ‘Don’t you tell me what I can and can’t do in my own ****ing place.’

The official complained of feeling ‘threatened’ and six days later Mr Catcheside was arrested at 5.35am on suspicion of ‘causing harassment, alarm or distress in a public place’.

The former lorry driver, still in his dressing gown, was marched into his bedroom, where his wife Deborah, 62, was asleep, and ordered to get changed before being driven away in a police van.

He was then held in a windowless-cell for six hours before being given the fixed-penalty notice and released.

Mr Catcheside, who has asthma and high blood pressure, was so distressed that he suffered a panic attack and had to be seen by a police doctor.
He said: ‘My wife and I were asleep when the police arrived. I opened the door and they just barged in.

‘I told them to wait a minute but they followed me into my bedroom where my wife was in bed. She was so embarrassed she hid behind a cushion.

‘I was frightened and angry as I felt like I was being criminalised. It was so heavy handed.

‘The police seem to have trouble catching proper criminals and here they were dragging me down to the station for defending my rights.

‘I admit I swore, but I was frustrated because we have been fighting to get these stairs improved for years, writing letter after letter, and the council has taken no notice.’

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said they had been following ‘national policy’ in their response.

She added: ‘We were responding to reports of an assault, which is a serious offence.

‘The suspect was arrested at the earliest possible opportunity, which happened to be at 5.35am.

‘There was not enough evidence to suggest he had committed an assault but he admitted to being abusive and was issued with a fine and words of advice about his behaviour.’

Robert Hollingsworth of City Homes, a housing association which runs council housing for Cambridge council, said they had reported the incident to the police because their representative had felt ‘threatened’.

‘My department has been dealing with Mr Catcheside’s complaint for a long time,’ he said.

‘Despite the fact the stairs are not a danger and no risk has been found, we are looking into covering them with a plastic-like surface which would improve their appearance.’

Mr Catcheside replied: ‘We don’t want the steps to look better, we want them to be safe.’

LAW AND DISORDER AGAIN. AGAIN. AGAIN.  GROPE YOUNG GIRL, PAY SMALL FINE PASS JAIL.

Hey. Home Free .. Gremlin wins again. Again.

Give me your tired, your ........ oh wait. Wrong country but same BS.

Judging by the amounts of fines here, I guess we know where their priorities are re. law and order and dare I use the word, justice?

A MIGRANT worker who sexually assaulted a 13-year-old was fined just £20 - the day before the girl’s dad got a £50 parking ticket.

Rulanas Kochanauskas, 31, pounced on the youngster as she walked home across a footpath and groped her breasts.

The teenager ran home in tears and alerted her 40-year-old dad.
With the help of his daughter he tracked down Kochanauskas to a shopping centre, got him in a head lock and called cops.

The migrant, thought to be Lithuanian, initially denied the assault but later admitted a charge of indecently touching a girl aged 13 in a sexual way without her consent.

An interpreter had to be hired when he appeared in court in Ludlow, Shrops.

But magistrates fined him £20 and ordered him to pay his victim £80 compensation. The girl’s dad was furious when next day he was given a £50 ticket for parking “inappropriately” at a supermarket.

The dad, who cannot be named to safeguard his daughter’s identity, said: “It’s a disgrace. I thought the least he’d get was a suspended sentence. It cost the court hundreds of pounds for an interpreter.”

SOURCE

I want to relate the following on the subject of priorities and justice.  Just shows how twisted things get.

Regular readers here know about the drunk who was so plastered that he relieved himself on a war memorial a few weeks ago.  He didn’t do it as an intended insult btw. He just hardly knew where in the hell he was.  He only knew he had to pee and so he did.  Well, he was caught on camera and it raised a storm here.  People were understandably outraged and so they should be.  The newspapers stayed on the story for several days fanning more public outrage and writing editorials and reprinting the photo.  It was even the subject of radio panel shows that week.  And what most missed because the focus was mostly on the war memorial and desecration of same, was that his drunkenness was part of a programed mass bar crawl, organized by Carnage,UK.  Think about that.

imageimage
And while you’re thinking about that ,,, and back on war memorial desecrations, please take a look at this.

imageimage

All the work of vandals, and this is only the tip of the iceberg.  War memorials are being desecrated by thieves and vandals at the rate of more than one a week.  Figures released on the eve of Remembrance Sunday revealed how thugs are casually vandalising plaques, statues and stone crosses.
Since the country paused to commemorate the war dead in November last year, yobs have damaged at least 56 war memorials.

Well now, in answer to this outrage and it is exactly that, authorities are now calling for a jail term of up to ten years for this kind of behavior.
Ten years?  I don’t think that’s enough but ok. Ten years it is.  Ah but .... how about this, which is where I started this post except I got long winded.
PLEASE think about this along with all the above.

Recently, a drunk outta his skull ‘yoot’ attacked two women in broad daylight.  He hit one of them so viciously that she has lost an eye. The doctors could not save it.  Just another attack on a stranger by another stranger.  Daily life here these days.
He’s being sent to jail, as you’d expect.  BUT ... he got SIX YEARS.  I am not in favor of vandals destroying property whether it’s private or public. I favor cutting off a hand in fact.  But why is the desecration of a memorial worth ten years (and it is) but a woman’s eye is only worth six?
And you know damn well he will NOT do six years.

THUGS CAN DO THIS TO INNOCENT PEOPLE, YET ONLY GET A CAUTION!

imageimage

In each case the victim was savagely beaten, bottled or even bitten.
But each attacker was let off with a slap on the wrist.
A TV probe to be shown next week reveals the scale on which offenders are being given cautions to unclog the courts - sparking accusations that it is justice on the cheap.

Last year 38,952 offenders received a caution for ABH - a charge that could carry a jail term of up to five years

Monday’s investigation highlights ex-air hostess Lauren Smith, who was battered at a party by a stranger who bit a chunk out of her arm.
Lauren, 25, said: “The police said it was ABH and I thought he’d go to prison. Then they told me he’d admitted everything and they were giving him a caution. I said, ‘It’s unacceptable. How can you give him a slap on the wrist?’”

John Guest, was beaten up in his own home - but his attacker got a conditional caution and was told to pay £200 compensation.
John said: “It cost more than £200 just to clean my carpets. It has left me feeling utterly disgusted.”
It was only when John’s case was reviewed by judges that the sentence was increased.
The Government insists cautions help unburden courts and free up cops to deal with more serious criminals.

Well then ... I guess these two aren’t thought to be “serious” enough. How much worse does it have to get?

We were fools to think the fall of the Berlin Wall had killed off the far Left.

She’s wrong about “they’re back.”
Because the SOBs never left us.  And haven’t some of us been bitching about the enemy screwing us from within for a long time?

I have wondered for a long time, just how it was possible for the left to be so well organized, that they have managed to bring us to this place we now find ourselves in.  Well, I think Melanie Phillips has answered my question.

I have posted her entire editorial here, rather then only part of it .  She really has nailed it.
Now where do we go from here?

I HOPE YOU WILL READ ALL OF THIS!

We were fools to think the fall of the Berlin Wall had killed off the far Left.

They’re back - and attacking us from within

By Melanie Phillips
Daily Mail
Monday Nov 9 2009

Twenty years ago today, supporters of freedom and human rights cheered and wept for joy as the Berlin Wall was torn down by jubilant young Germans.

To so many, that heady day seemed to herald the emergence of a better world. The spectre of communism had finally been laid to rest. Liberty had triumphed over tyranny.

The end of the Cold War even led some to proclaim that this was ‘the end of history’ - which was to say that liberal democracy was now the dominant and unchallengeable force in the world.

The collapse of communism was actually a slow-burning process. Its moral and political bankruptcy became obvious decades before that glorious Berlin day in November 1989

However, the 9/11 attacks on America tragically proved this to be absurdly over-optimistic. The eruption of radical Islamism revealed that, while the West may have been rid of one enemy in the Soviet Union, another deadly foe had risen to take its place. So much is, sadly, all too evident.

But what is perhaps less obvious is that communism did not just vanish in a puff of historical smoke. The Soviet Union was defeated and fell apart, for sure. But the communist ideology that fuelled it did not so much disintegrate as reconstitute itself into another, even more deadly form as the active enemy of western freedom.

SUBVERSIVE

Soviet Communism was a belief system whose goal was to overturn the structures of society through the control of economic and political life. This mutated into a post-communist ideology of the Left, whose no-less ambitious aim was to overturn western society through a subversive transformation of its culture.

To grasp the extent to which this has in fact taken place, we have to go back in time to well before the moment the Berlin Wall fell. The collapse of communism was actually a slow-burning process. Its moral and political bankruptcy became obvious decades before that glorious Berlin day in November 1989.

For many communist fellow travellers, the scales fell from their eyes when the Hungarian uprising was crushed in 1956. Others, over the years, lost faith not just in communism but in its less radical sister, socialism, as their core tenet of ‘equality’ proved itself in a myriad different ways to be the enemy of freedom and justice, with market forces appearing to carry the torch of liberty instead.

But as communism slowly crumbled, those on the far-Left who remained hostile towards western civilisation found another way to realise their goal of bringing it down.

This was what might be called ‘cultural Marxism’. It was based on the understanding that what holds a society together are the pillars of its culture: the structures and institutions of education, family, law, media and religion. Transform the principles that these embody and you can thus destroy the society they have shaped.

This key insight was developed in particular by an Italian Marxist philosopher called Antonio Gramsci. His thinking was taken up by Sixties radicals - who are, of course, the generation that holds power in the West today.

Gramsci understood that the working class would never rise up to seize the levers of ‘production, distribution and exchange’ as communism had prophesied. Economics was not the path to revolution.

He believed instead that society could be overthrown if the values underpinning it could be turned into their antithesis: if its core principles were replaced by those of groups who were considered to be outsiders or who actively transgressed the moral codes of that society.

So he advocated a ‘long march through the institutions’ to capture the citadels of the culture and turn them into a collective fifth column, undermining from within and turning all the core values of society upside-down and inside-out.

THIS STRATEGY HAS BEEN CARRIED OUT TO THE LETTER

The nuclear family has been widely shattered. Illegitimacy was transformed from a stigma into a ‘right’. The tragic disadvantage of fatherlessness was redefined as a neutrally-viewed ‘lifestyle choice’.

Education was wrecked, with its core tenet of transmitting a culture to successive generations replaced by the idea that what children already knew was of superior value to anything the adult world might foist upon them.

The outcome of this ‘child-centred’ approach has been widespread illiteracy and ignorance and an eroded capacity for independent thought.

MISDEEDS

Law and order were similarly undermined, with criminals deemed to be beyond punishment since they were ‘victims’ of society and with illegal drugtaking tacitly encouraged by a campaign to denigrate anti-drugs laws.

The ‘rights’ agenda - commonly known as ‘political correctness’ - turned morality inside out by excusing any misdeeds by self-designated ‘victim’ groups on the grounds that such ‘victims’ could never be held responsible for what they did.

Feminism, anti-racism and gay rights thus turned men, white people and Christians into the enemies of decency who were forced to jump through hoops to prove their virtue.

This Through The Looking Glass mindset rests on the belief that the world is divided into the powerful (who are responsible for all bad things) and the oppressed (who are responsible for none of them).

This is a Marxist doctrine. But the extent to which such Marxist thinking has been taken up unwittingly even by the Establishment was illustrated by the astounding observation made in 2005 by the then senior law lord, Lord Bingham, that human rights law was all about protecting ‘oppressed’ minorities from the majority.

None of this is to say there has been a giant, organised conspiracy to undermine Britain in this way. Admittedly, some Left-wingers did so conspire, but many others bought into these ideas for different reasons.

Of particular importance was the demoralisation of the British ruling class by the loss of Empire and the indebtedness of Britain to America at the end of World War II - a profound loss of cultural nerve that made the Establishment vulnerable to any ideas, however outlandish, that promised to bring about the New Jerusalem.

These ideas gained general traction within the intelligentsia, the universities and the media - which is why the BBC is so institutionally skewed towards political correctness.

TOTALITARIAN

However, the terrifying fact is that they form a totalitarian mindset that replicates the way communist societies clamped down on any other than permitted views. Thus the intolerance - or even arrest - of Christians opposed to gay adoption and civil union, or the vilification as ‘racists’ of those opposed to mass immigration.

This mindset also led to the belief that a sense of nationhood was the cause of all the ills in the world, precisely because western nations embodied western values. So transnational institutions or doctrines such as the EU, UN, international law or human rights law came to trump national laws and values.

But the truth is that to be hostile to the western nation is to be hostile to democracy. And indeed, with the development of the EU superstate we can see that the victory over one anti-democratic regime within Europe - the Soviet Union - has been followed by surrender to another.

For the republic of Euroland puts loyalty to itself higher than that to individual nations and their values. It refused to commit itself in its constitution to uphold Christianity, the foundation of western morality.

Instead, it is committed to moral and cultural relativism, which sets group against group and guarantees supreme and antidemocratic power to the bureaucrats setting the rules of ‘diversity’ and outlawing all dissent from permitted attitudes.

When the Berlin Wall fell, we told ourselves that this was the end of ideology. We could not have been more wrong.

The Iron Curtain came down only to be replaced by a rainbow-hued knuckle-duster, as our cultural commissars pulverise all forbidden attitudes in order to reshape western society into a post-democratic, post-Christian, post-moral universe. Lenin would have smiled.
