Please Support Slavery: Buy Things Made In China

Plus if you act now, forced “reeducation” labor by religious political prisoners!!

Barbed wire and hundreds of cameras ring a massive compound of more than 30 dormitories, schools, warehouses and workshops in China’s far west. Dozens of armed officers and a growling Doberman stand guard outside.

Behind locked gates, men and women are sewing sportswear that can end up on U.S. college campuses and sports teams.

This is one of a growing number of internment camps in the Xinjiang region, where by some estimates 1 million Muslims are detained, forced to give up their language and their religion and subject to political indoctrination. Now, the Chinese government is also forcing some detainees to work in manufacturing and food industries. Some of them are within the internment camps; others are privately owned, state-subsidized factories where detainees are sent once they are released.

The Associated Press has tracked recent, ongoing shipments from one such factory inside an internment camp to Badger Sportswear, a leading supplier in Statesville, North Carolina. The shipments show how difficult it is to stop products made with forced labor from getting into the global supply chain, even though such imports are illegal in the U.S. Badger CEO John Anton said Sunday that the company would source sportswear elsewhere while it investigates.

Chinese authorities say the camps, which they call training centers, offer free vocational training for Uighurs, Kazakhs and others, mostly Muslims, as part of a plan to bring minorities into “a modern civilized” world and eliminate poverty in Xinjiang. They say that people in the centers have signed agreements to receive vocational training.

You betcha. Signed under duress. Sign here, or we shoot you. Choose now!!

people who either had been in a camp or had friends or family in one told the AP that detainees they knew were given no choice but to work at the factories. Most of the Uighurs and Kazakhs, who were interviewed in exile, also said that even people with professional jobs were retrained to do menial work.

Payment varied according to the factory. Some got paid nothing, while others earned up to several hundred dollars a month, they said — barely above minimum wage for the poorer parts of Xinjiang. A person with firsthand knowledge of the situation in one county estimated that more than 10,000 detainees — or 10 to 20 percent of the internment population there — are working in factories, with some earning just a tenth of what they used to earn before.

Shirts you gladly pay $14.95 for in Walmart go out the factory door for about $3.75. So somebody somewhere is making one humongous profit. And you know the factory isn’t selling at a loss either.

About two years ago, authorities launched a vast detention and re-education campaign. They also use checkpoints, GPS tracking and face-scanning cameras for surveillance of ethnic minorities in the region. The slightest perceived misstep can land someone in the internment camps.

Shawn Zhang, a researcher at the University of British Columbia, noted an overlooked Hotan city social media post from February about the first batch of some 1.5 million pieces of clothing worth $400,000 heading overseas from the Hetian Taida Factory. In the middle of a photo of young women flashing the peace sign is Badger Sportswear’s marketing director Ginny Gasswint, who is quoted as saying she’s surprised the workers are “friendly, beautiful, enthusiastic and hardworking.”

Slave labor. Prison labor. Not what I’d call fair competition.

Impressive, Amazing, Outstanding.  14 year old figure skater makes “impossible” combination

image

World junior champion Alexandra Trusova has landed a unique jumping combination during training, nailing an element which has never been seen before, even among male stars of the sport.

The 14-year-old landed a quadruple Lutz in combination with a triple loop, reportedly becoming the first skater to ever execute the enormously difficult element on camera.

Footage of Trusova’s feat was published on the athlete’s Instagram page. [ and at the link above ]

Wonderful. Now limit the Olympics to adults who are at least 21 years old. While this girl is a marvelous skater, she is a child. A child. Junior Olympics for those 15 to 20. Kiddie competitions for those under that age. She’s still in the kiddie class, no matter how good she is.

Sure, there are movements that only children can make, with their smaller stature, green bones, and strength to weight ratios unattainable by adults. And in certain sports they can excel. Fine, good. But don’t put them in with adults. They are children.

If You Only Read Two Short Essays Today ...

Yes, these are must reads. First read the teaser. Then the first article Pardon Everyone. Then the second one, VDH’s The Global Mindset: They Hate You.

Voters in consensual societies are often assumed too ignorant of the world beyond their borders, too encumbered with traditional racial, ethnic, gender, religious, and nationalist prejudices, and too ill-informed to know what is good for them. No wonder that sometimes hoi polloi must either vote repeatedly until they get it right, or follow executive and judicial fiats issued from their betters on high. In the globalist mindset, Brexit passed not because it was felt to be good by a majority or even advantageous for the United Kingdom, but because racists, xenophobes, nativists, protectionists, and chauvinists deluded the clueless public into thinking a pre-EU, and more racist and sexist Britain was somehow superior.

A post-election depressed Hillary Clinton had to travel all the way to Mumbai, India to find a more enlightened audience that would appreciate her insight that the ogre Trump had beat her ...

Let’s stop pretending that America in 2018 has a “justice system.” It’s not a justice system. It’s a set of elite institutions that swing the law like a sledgehammer to crush threats to the ruling class’s monopoly on power. You know, threats like the people we elect to represent our interests against the elite. And we are under no moral obligation to pretend it is anything else.

This painful to admit it, but we need to grow up. There are two sets of law in America today, meaning there is no rule of law in America today. Oh, there are statutes, and there are courts, and there are agencies full of people with guns willing to enforce the will of aspiring tyrants, but there is not rule of law. There is only power, theirs and ours. Time to get woke to the undeniable fact that the Fredocons deny up and down. Justice is no longer blind. Her blindfold is off and she’s picking favorites.

You are not one of her favorites.

You, and those you elect, are not equal under the law to members of the elite.

The Biggest “I’m Offended” Payout So Far

CBS pays actress Eliza Dushku $9.5 MILLION because she heard a dirty joke on the set

My guess: Woke-ass beyotch probably went into turbo-bitch mode after that, and was such a downer that she got written off the show “Bull”. Payout includes early withdrawal from contract?

Michael Weatherly’s former “NCIS” co-stars rushed to his defense after it was revealed Friday that CBS paid actress Eliza Dushku $9.5 million in a secret settlement after she accused the “Bull” star of sexual harassment.

Pauley Perrette tweeted, “This man ... I love, respect, trust, and I KNOW. TWO decades of friendship and respect. The best. I love you @M_Weatherly Always and forever.”

Sasha Alexander also posted a selfie with Weatherly, 50, writing, “I have been in trenches w/ my friend ⁦@M_Weatherly⁩. Always laughs, true friend & [heart] as big as they come.”

On Friday, it was revealed that Dushku, 37, received a secret $9.5 million payout from CBS after she complained about Weatherly’s off-color comments and was written off of “Bull.”

Weatherly denied harassing Dushku deliberately, saying in a statement to The New York Times, “During the course of taping our show, I made some jokes mocking some lines in the script. When Eliza told me that she wasn’t comfortable with my language and attempt at humor, I was mortified to have offended her and immediately apologized. After reflecting on this further, I better understand that what I said was both not funny and not appropriate and I am sorry and regret the pain this caused Eliza.”

Dushku was reportedly written off of the series entirely after bringing her complaints up the CBS corporate ladder, despite plans for her initial three-episode arc to expand into a full role on the series.

Golly, an off-color joke is sexual harassment? WTF. Grow up already.

I don’t know this actress. I’ve never even heard of the show Bull. I’ve seen her work before, from Buffy forward. Sure, she’s got some kind of wild and violent sex appeal, but she never came off as a sweet person. But that’s acting, so who knows. All I’m saying is that this is a helluva lot of money for nearly nothing. OK, maybe if the studio was so stupid to sign her to a contract, and then write her off because her super sensitive, static-charged-porcupine-in-a-clothes-dryer attitude made things awful on the set for everyone else ... who can say. Squeaky bitch gets the grease. Spend it wisely; I’ve got the feeling Hollywood won’t be calling you ever again.

Meanwhile, here’s Miley Cyrus as she appeared on SNL ...

Shouldn’t this count as sexual harassment in the workplace too?

UPDATE to an earlier post: President Trump To Review Major Matt Golsteyn murder case.

Trump said that many have requested he look into the case, which he pledged to do.

“At the request of many, I will be reviewing the case of a “U.S. Military hero,” Major Matt Golsteyn, who is charged with murder. He could face the death penalty from our own government after he admitted to killing a Terrorist bomb maker while overseas,” he wrote on Twitter.

There are no rules that apply in the GWOT. And the only good terrorist is a dead terrorist, hopefully killed in such a barbaric way that it scares the crap out of other would-be terrorists. And that’s the Chicago Way.

We go through this BS bit of theater every year. All they’re doing is creating a bunch of noise and stress for everyone else so that they can all get an extra bit of vacation at the taxpayer expense. I’m sick of it.

OH NO!!! Government Shutdown Looming!! The Wall, The WALL !!!

The Trump administration Sunday reaffirmed the president’s insistence that he would allow a partial shutdown of the federal government if Congress does not provide $5 billion to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, with senior adviser Stephen Miller calling it a “fundamental issue.”

“At stake is the question of whether or not the United States remains a sovereign country,” Miller told CBS News’ “Face The Nation.” “The Democrat Party has a simple choice. They can either choose to fight for America’s working class or to promote illegal immigration. You can’t do both.”
...
When asked if the administration was willing to allow parts of the government to cease operation at midnight Friday if the wall is not funded, Miller answered: “If it comes to it, absolutely.”

On NBC News’ “Meet The Press,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., insisted that President Trump “is not going to get the wall in any form.”

We aren’t going to get the wall either. That’s more political smoke and mirrors. It’s all a con, top to bottom, both sides of the aisle, while they all get rich. Richer.

Gary Sinise, one helluva great guy

Actor Gary Sinise gave an amazing gift to Gold Star families for Christmas — a trip to Disney World for almost 1,700 family members of fallen soldiers.

“Each one of these children who are going on these airplanes have lost a parent in military services—either combat related or illness or unfortunately suicide sometimes,” The Gary Sinise Foundation founder said. “We wanna take care of these kids and make sure they know we don’t forget.”

The families took 15 planes and stayed at Disney for five days, The Epoch Times reports.

In Chicago, the families were blessed with a beautiful sendoff at the airport, with supporters dressed in holiday and other festive gear cheering, clapping, and ringing jingle bells.

At the Los Angeles airport, Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived in a helicopter to visit the children, give them presents, and offer a photo opportunity.

“Each one of these children who are going on these airplanes have lost a parent in military services—either combat related or illness or unfortunately suicide sometimes. We wanna take care of these kids and make sure they know we don’t forget,” actor Sinise told KCAL9.

Meanwhile, the Nashville airport came to a complete standstill and the crowd was treated to a rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner, with military members giving a salute.
...
Sinise has dedicated many years to causes for veterans, such as volunteering for USO tours, building homes for wounded veterans, or helping people overcome injury or loss.

“A tremendous spirit of volunteerism and giving back to our special Snowball families of the fallen. It’s been a great year. More to come in 2019. We Remember,” wrote Sinise on Twitter.

Wow, that’s some major election influencing

Google CEO: Russians Spent $4,700 On Google Ads To Influence 2016 Presidential Elections

“Does Google now know the full extent to which its online platforms were exploited by Russian actors in the election two years ago?” Rep. Jerry Nadler, a Democrat from New York and ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, asked the search engine’s chief executive during Tuesday’s hearing.

"We have - we undertook a very thorough investigation, and, in 2016, we now know that there were two main ad accounts linked to Russia which advertised on Google for about $4,700 in advertising,” Pichai responded.

“A total of $4,700?” Nadler asked to confirm.

“That’s right,” the Google executive replied.
...

Google employees and executives contributed $1.6 million to 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, according to data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics.

Wow, that’s huge. YUUUUGE. It adds up to ... almost nothing.

The tea tastes a bit salty today

Today Is 245th Anniversary of Boston Tea Party

The colonies refused to pay the levies required by the Townsend Acts claiming they had no obligation to pay taxes imposed by a Parliament in which they had no representation. In response, Parliament retracted the taxes with the exception of a duty on tea - a demonstration of Parliament’s ability and right to tax the colonies. In May of 1773 Parliament concocted a clever plan. They gave the struggling East India Company a monopoly on the importation of tea to America. Additionally, Parliament reduced the duty the colonies would have to pay for the imported tea. The Americans would now get their tea at a cheaper price than ever before. However, if the colonies paid the duty tax on the imported tea they would be acknowledging Parliament’s right to tax them. Tea was a staple of colonial life - it was assumed that the colonists would rather pay the tax than deny themselves the pleasure of a cup of tea.

The colonists were not fooled by Parliament’s ploy. When the East India Company sent shipments of tea to Philadelphia and New York the ships were not allowed to land. In Charleston the tea-laden ships were permitted to dock but their cargo was consigned to a warehouse where it remained for three years until it was sold by patriots in order to help finance the revolution.

In Boston, the arrival of three tea ships ignited a furious reaction. The crisis came to a head on December 16, 1773 when as many as 7,000 agitated locals milled about the wharf where the ships were docked. A mass meeting at the Old South Meeting House that morning resolved that the tea ships should leave the harbor without payment of any duty. A committee was selected to take this message to the Customs House to force release of the ships out of the harbor. The Collector of Customs refused to allow the ships to leave without payment of the duty. Stalemate. The committee reported back to the mass meeting and a howl erupted from the meeting hall. It was now early evening and a group of about 200 men, some disguised as Indians, assembled on a near-by hill. Whopping war chants, the crowd marched two-by-two to the wharf, descended upon the three ships and dumped their offending cargos of tea into the harbor waters.

Most colonists applauded the action while the reaction in London was swift and vehement. In March 1774 Parliament passed the Intolerable Acts which among other measures closed the Port of Boston. The fuse that led directly to the explosion of American independence was lit.

And we’ve been drinking coffee ever since.

The Left Are Lying Gutter Scum, Using The Death Of An Illegal Alien Child As A Political Weapon

They have no morals, no limits to their depravity, no compassion, no humanity. And this is not news to anyone. SSDD.

There is extreme hate coming from the left as they demonize the wrong people for the death of the little Guatemalan girl Jakelin Caal Maquin. The long and dangerous trip killed her. Her father knows that and said he is very grateful to First Responders for all they did to help her; they did all they could, he said.

Despite the facts, the usual leftists are blaming the very men who helped her — the Customs and Border Patrol. The unAmerican ACLU is doing their best to try to rile the father up and condemn border Patrol agents despite knowing the truth.

If you go through the Twitter sewer, you will be shocked by the venom the left is spewing at CBP when they should blame themselves for leaving our borders open.

Jim Carrey, a demented ‘comedian’ blames Trump and claims he’s sadistic for trying to protect our borders as most Americans want him to do. He’s using a child’s death to attack Trump.
...
Hillary the hag is exploiting the child’s death to push her mantra. The child died from more than dehydration as Hillary claims. Hillary minimized the causes of death to strengthen her deceitful argument. She’s a hate-filled troublemaker who has been dividing Americans for decades using evil, Marxist identity politics.

There are no words to capture the horror of a seven-year-old girl dying of dehydration in U.S. custody. What’s happening at our borders is a humanitarian crisis. https://t.co/8KZeynGjIv

— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) December 14, 2018

Chuck Schumer too is shamelessly exploiting the death of this child for political gain. He’s repulsive.
...
Alexandria O-Cortez retweeted a complete lie. Little Jakelin died in the hospital, not in a ‘hieleras’. It’s a total fabrication.

Malnourishment, dehydration, and exhaustion do not happen instantly. The kid was dragged thousands of miles, marching and living outdoors for weeks. Who knows what kind of food or drink the child had, when or how often. She was probably only hours from death when her family was arrested. There is a point at which starvation and dehydration become terminal; no amount of food, water, or even glucose/saline IV drips can save the patient. That’s sad, but it’s an unfortunate truth. Doctors are not God, and can not call down miracles on demand no matter how hard they try.

Yet the left can not wait to use this kind of thing as a weapon to attack our President with. Not only that, they’re eager to misstate facts and even spread complete lies in their mission of destruction.

Yes, there might be a “humanitarian crisis” at our borders. Whatever that means. But there wouldn’t be one if the borders were closed, if we didn’t have people sneaking in, if no illegals made it across our borders alive. Sure, there might be a humanitarian crisis in Mexico, but that would be Mexico’s problem to deal with, not ours.

Draining the swamp also means getting rid of corrupt laws

Congressional Sex Abusers To Pay Settlements Out Of Their Own Money?

Democrats who are hoping that President Donald Trump will face harsh repercussions for paying settlements to women who allege relationships with him passed legislation on Thursday that requires them to make payments for sexual harassment with their own money.

Current law addressing sexual misconduct that was put in place in 1995 — ironically when Bill Clinton was in the White House — requires an accuser to get counseling, wait 30 days, and allowed accused lawmakers to use a slush fund of taxpayer money to pay off their accusers.

The Huffington Post reported:

Part of the reason it took Congress all year to get this done is because the House wanted tougher punishments and more transparency when lawmakers sexually harass or discriminate against staff, while Senate Republicans, for some reason, insisted on watering down those provisions.

House lawmakers, for example, wanted to make members of Congress pay out of pocket for discrimination settlements too and wanted to provide legal representation to all accusers. But the Senate, which finally caved on requiring lawmakers to pay out of pocket for sexual harassment settlements, rejected both of those provisions and neither ended up in the final bill.

The passage of the bill, which President Donald Trump has to sign into law, is Congress’s response to the #MeToo movement launched last year, wherein women across the country accused men ranging from Hollywood moguls to media celebrities and members of the House and Senate of sexual harassment and worse.

Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) spearheaded the movement in Congress last year after announcing that she, too, had been the victim of sexual misconduct as a young congressional staffer. She was one of the main sponsors behind the House legislation, and she promised to push next session to put that chamber’s tougher terms back in place.

“Taxpayers should never foot the bill for Members’ misconduct,” Speier said in a statement provided to the Huffington Post. “And having spoken with many survivors, the process of going up against a lawyer for the institution and the harasser was as traumatic, if not more traumatic, than the abuse they suffered. … We are committed to offering victims the tools they need to pursue justice. We will address these issues in the next Congress.”

It’s a small step, but a good one. A strong bill would include public censure, loss of committee memberships, perhaps even loss of the job. You know, like the real world. But that’s asking too much I guess, and it’s too easy for this kind of thing to be weaponized, as we’ve seen. At the very least, I hope this bill disallows “personal payment” to come from the weasel’s campaign coffers.

Miss Universe Contest Now Accepts Ladyboys

FOR the first time in the Miss Universe’s 66-year history, there is a transgender contestant in the competition.

Angela Ponce, who is Miss Spain, will be making history as she takes part in the finals of the beauty pageant in Bangkok, Thailand on Monday.

Angela Ponce. What a perfect swish name.

The pageant changed one of its longstanding policies in 2012, which stated that participants should be “naturally born” women.

Angela, 27, says that by taking part she hopes to highlight how misunderstood the transgender community is, and she also intends to send a message to Donald Trump.

What the heck does Trump have to do with it? He doesn’t own this show anymore. And he’s no more trans-revolted than anyone else. But of course, they have to make their political virtue signalling, and I guess he’s trans-enemy #1. Pity Anita Bryant isn’t with us any longer.

Angela responded to Trump, who used to own the Miss Universe competition, and said: “I always say: having a vagina didn’t transform me into a woman. I am a woman, already before birth, because my identity is here [her head.]”

She argued that the trans people being classified so narrowly on their gender is based on prejudice.

She explained: “Outsiders say what I can and cannot do, what I am and what I am not.

“No, I’m sorry. To be a woman is your identity. It doesn’t matter if you are white, black, if you have a vagina… if you have a penis.”

Back in Spain, Angela works with a foundation that helps children struggling with the stigma of being trans.

Struggling, or being indoctrinated?

Well, there goes another enjoyable institution down the tubes. Regardless of whatever surgeries this guy has had, no matter how pretty “xi” thinks “xhe” is, he still looks like a guy in drag. And we already have a shit ton of drag queen shows and competitions. That biological women are not allowed to partake in, at least if they intend to dress up as women. Discrimination is a one way street, and I’m getting really tired of that.

And of course the Big Event is being held in Thailand, where they love their ladyboys no end. As prostitutes.

Update: And the winner is ... a real woman, Catriona Gray

What on earth is up with a UCMJ? Have they swapped their helmets for pink pussy hats or something?

Former Green Beret Charged With Murder Of Taliban Bomb Maker

Crap, I thought killing those scum was his damn job?? And no, the Geneva Conventions and other laws of warfare really don’t apply against non-state, non-uniformed terrorists.

A former Green Beret who told Fox News in 2016 that he killed a suspected Taliban bomb maker nearly a decade ago during combat operations in Afghanistan is now being charged in the man’s death—a move his lawyer says is an act of betrayal by the Army.

The murder charge facing Maj. Matthew Golsteyn comes after years of on-and-off investigations by the Army following an incident said to have taken place during his 2010 deployment. A military tribunal that probed the killing years ago initially cleared Golsteyn—but the investigation into him was re-opened after he spoke to Fox News’ Bret Baier.

“I think he’s been betrayed,” his attorney, Phillip Stackhouse, told Fox News on Friday when asked how the Army has treated Golsteyn.

The once-decorated soldier, who had been on voluntary excess leave amid the latest investigation, has been living in a newly bought home with his wife and a 2-month-old baby in Virginia, working for the International Association of Firefighters, Stackhouse said.

Golsteyn was informed of the murder charge earlier this week after being ordered back into active duty.

“They have insinuated to me that they have new evidence,” Stackhouse told Fox News. “I don’t believe there is any new evidence at all.”

Golsteyn, in 2010, had been deployed to Afghanistan with the 3rd Special Forces Group. Two Marines in his unit during that time in the Battle of Marja ended up getting killed by booby-trapped explosives hidden in the area.

Golsteyn and his men later found a suspected Taliban bomb maker nearby—though he was not on a list of targets U.S. forces were cleared to kill, Fox News previously has reported. After he was detained, Golsteyn said the man refused to talk to investigators.

Under the rules of engagement, Golsteyn was ordered to release him. However, Golsteyn was concerned that if he did so, the suspect would have in turn targeted Afghans who were helping U.S. soldiers.

“There’s limits on how long you can hold guys,” he told Fox News’ Bret Baier in 2016. “You realize quickly that you make things worse. It is an inevitable outcome that people who are cooperating with coalition forces, when identified, will suffer some terrible torture or be killed.”

Golsteyn told Fox News he killed him. Two years later, he is facing the murder charge.

“Major Matthew Golsteyn’s immediate commander has determined that sufficient evidence exists to warrant the preferral of charges against him,” U.S. Army Special Operations Command spokesman Lt. Col. Loren Bymer told Fox News in a statement Friday. “Major Golsteyn has been charged with the murder of an Afghan male during his 2010 deployment to Afghanistan.”

Golsteyn, who had been awarded the Silver Star, the military’s third-highest award for combat valor, was initially accused of murder and conspiracy. But following the lengthy initial investigation by a military tribunal, no formal charges were filed.

Instead, Golsteyn was removed from the Special Forces and had his Silver Star taken away.

Wait a sec. What? Back then the Army couldn’t find any charges that would stick, so they stripped him of his medals and fired him anyway? For what cause?? Sounds mighty screwed up to me ... like they’d made their decisions even before doing any investigations or court martials?

...

In a similar vein, we have another serviceman being charged with murder, for killing an enemy terrorist operative in Iraq. Um, what are our guys supposed to do, give these crazies a time out and a brisk finger wagging?

A reader writes in today asking me to post on this - and today was the first time I checked the blog email in months. Kind of odd that both cases surface at the same time.

From the Navy Times: NCIS documents cast doubt on Navy SEAL’s guilt in slaying of Islamic State fighter

Two high-ranking Iraqi military leaders with close ties to the SEALs cast doubt on the case military prosecutors have formed against Chief Special Warfare Operator Edward “Eddie” Gallagher, who’s accused of murdering a wounded prisoner of war, according to records provided to Navy Times.

Their transcribed interviews contradict nearly every aspect of the federal case against Gallagher, 39, who faces up to 18 criminal counts, including premeditated murder for allegedly stabbing to death a badly wounded Islamic State detainee near the Iraqi city of Mosul on May 3, 2017.

A report prepared by the Naval Criminal Investigate Service on Oct. 22 — five weeks after Gallagher was arrested by federal agents and incarcerated in the Naval Consolidated Brig Miramar in San Diego — includes an interview in Baghdad with Iraqi Emergency Response Division commander Maj. Gen. Abbas al-Jubouri and his aide, Col. Issa Kadhim.

The ERD is the Iraqi Ministry of the Interior’s elite special forces unit, and both al-Jubouri and Kadhim worked closely with Gallagher’s SEAL platoon during anti-Islamic State clearing operations in northern Iraq in 2017.

A Jekyll and Hyde portrait emerges

NAVAL BASE SAN DIEGO, Calif. – As military prosecutors tell it, Special Warfare Operator Chief Edward “Eddie” Gallagher is a callous murderer who stabbed to death a wounded Islamic State prisoner of war, gunned unwitting civilians with his sniper rifle, bragged about racking up kills and threatened to intimidate and publicly out SEAL buddies who complained to superiors and investigators about him.

But during two days of testimony in his Article 32 hearing here, Gallagher’s criminal defense attorneys painted a different picture of the highly-decorated SEAL, describing him as a battle-hardened hospital corpsman who properly treated a gravely-wounded ISIS fighter, only to have his reputation smeared by a handful of spiteful SEAL malcontents in the 19-man platoon who griped about his gruff leadership style.

Gallagher, a veteran of eight overseas and combat deployments, is facing 14 criminal counts, including premeditated murder for allegedly stabbing to death an alleged ISIS fighter Iraqi forces brought for medical care by his SEAL Team platoon in Mosul, Iraq, in early May 2017.

The married father and 19-year veteran of the Navy has been confined at the Naval Consolidated Brig Miramar in San Diego since his arrest on Sept. 11 at Camp Pendleton, where he was receiving treatment as a wounded warrior.

He faces 14 criminal counts, including murder, aggravated assault, obstructing justice and drug charges tied to alleged pain reliever and anabolic steroid abuse.

By Nov. 30, Navy Capt. Warren Record, a military judge assigned as the hearing officer, will submit to Naval Special Warfare Group 1′s commodore, Capt. Matthew D. Rosenbloom, his recommendations on which charges — if any — should be lodged against Gallagher.

Rosenbloom, as the initial convening authority, authorized the initial charges against Gallagher and slapped a gag order on all participants in the legal procedures that controlled how they used evidence and discussed with the public the ongoing probe.

He will decide whether charges should be dropped, revised, handled non-judicially or heard at a court-martial.

Gallagher is one of only two SEALs with Alpha Platoon charged so far in connection with the ISIS fighter’s death. The other is Lt. Jacob “Jake” Portier, who wasn’t with Gallagher when the man was killed but is accused of failing to report rumors of the chief’s alleged misconduct to superiors in his chain of command.

Portier has proclaimed his innocence and believes he will be exonerated as the person who brought the war crimes allegations to superiors.

The letter sent to me by a reader:

Here we are again folks. Charging brave American Sons, who the military trains to kill the enemy, with premeditated murder!
Navy Seal Chief Gallagher, who served 19 years of his life, deployed 8 times, defending this nation in the most horrific and dangerous hell holes in the world, charged with premeditated murder of a terrorist (and take note, no matter what story you read, the heavily armed terrorist who barely survived the bombing the military ordered is now referred to as an “Afghan boy”).

See, this is a real problem for our sons and daughters who serve. One minute they are encouraged to get the terrorist, kill the terrorist, bomb the terrorists, and then one survives and this gun toting murdering terrorist who lived to murder our Troops, suddenly becomes just an “Afghan boy.” This reminds me of Sgt. Miller’s case. At trial, the terrorist Sgt Miller pursued and killed in self defense, became just a “little old local Afghan man!”

After 19 years of heroic service, Chief Gallagher was transitioning to retirement when he was yanked out of TBI treatment, shackled and taken to the brig in California, where he remains. What is worse is what was done to his children. After his wife left for work, a swat team stormed his house, pulled his sons out of bed in their underwear at gunpoint where they were taken outside, in view of all the neighbors, while the bullies searched the Chief’s house.

https://www.justiceforeddie.com/

Whoever ordered this abuse of Chief Gallagher’s sons should be hog tied and beat with a stick! What a twisted bunch of sick bullies, to do that to the children of a man who was willing to die for all of us. When you consider 19 years of service, 8 deployments, that computes to 14 years this man was away from his family to serve his country and do the bidding of the United States Military! And this is how they treat him and his children!

The Chief is charged with premeditated murder and continues to sit in a brig where I’ve read his food is laden with rat feces and the temperatures in the cell go from hot to cold. The military appears to be torturing this Hero. His wife and children are terrified for their father and I can just about guess the Chief’s sons most likely will not consider a career in this schizophrenic military!

Who in their right mind would serve such a backstabbing bunch like this?!

Now comes the premeditated murder charge against the highly decorated Green Beret, Maj. Matthew Golsteyn! The bomb making terrorist he is charged with killing is now known as an “Afghan man.” NO! We desperately need to speak the truth! He was a murdering psycho who spent his time making bombs to blow up our Sons and Daughters!

https://www.foxnews.com/us/former-decorated-green-beret-after-years-of-investigations-charged-in-2010-killing-of-suspect-taliban-bomb-maker

This military trains our Soldiers to kill the enemy. They deploy our sons and daughters to terrorist territories all over the world, and instruct them to kill the terrorists. When they do, the terrorist suddenly becomes just a “little old local Afghan man”, and our Sons suddenly become the “murderers” and charged with premeditated murder!

I love our Troops, with all my heart and soul. Men in my family served. They were willing to die protecting us. I’m so proud of their selfless sacrifice but I’m disgusted and fed up with this military.

Enough of this! The UCMJ should be diagnosed as schizophrenic, with psychotic features, and they should be tried as accessories to murder (they give the orders and they send our Troops to kill terrorists). Further, they should also be tried for torturing an American Hero, Chief Gallagher.

When they drag the latest American Heroes into court, to try them for premeditated murder, all the cards will be stacked against them. In a military court, they are guilty until proven innocent (just look at how they are treating the Navy Seal Hero Chief Gallagher) and they will be tried by a jury stacked with underlings subject to fierce career backlash if they decide against the Prosecutor. I’m familiar with one case where the entire jury had just come off a deployment with the prosecutor! What private is going to go against a Major?!!!

Below is my latest attempt to try and help The American Hero, Navy Chief Gallagher. It is a letter to our President.

Folks, please pick up your phones on Monday and ring your Congressmen and Senators and fight for Chief Gallagher and Maj. Goldsteyn. I’m afraid they are about to be the latest casualties of a schizophrenic military injustice system that, in my opinion, should itself be put on trial.

Please, please, please, fight for these brave Americans. They need your voices now more than ever. Please make calls, or you can send an email to the White House.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/

Please remind your Congressmen and Senators that they enjoy freedom and safety everyday, courtesy of brave Americans who are willing to die to provide that freedom to them!
Thank You, and please know that YOUR VOICE can make the difference for these Heroes!

Bowling blogging!! Plus social commentary!!!

We won 5-2 last night. We had a great time hanging out with the folks on the other team; we’ve seen them at league for ages but never really got much chance to talk with them. Great people.

I tried something new last night, and it pretty much worked. Maybe it was the weather, maybe it was the lane conditions - a serious top hat pattern with really dry edges?. Whatever. I stood a couple boards more to the right, moved my target spot a couple boards right, so that I was throwing the ball much further out to the side, deeper down the lane. And I made sure not to choke my release or “flang” the ball, keeping my swing straight. And the ball was hooking madly, better than anything I’ve ever thrown. A magic moment? A bowling epiphany? I can’t say. But I threw a 217 in the first game, which was mostly spares, and was over average in the next two games when I managed to start stringing strikes. Naturally we were on the end lanes, which break down so much faster than the ones in the middle of the alley. Beats me why, but they do. The alley put in synthetic lanes ages ago, so it’s not from rotted old wood.

Dave was there. He’s just out of the hospital after getting stents, so he wasn’t bowling. We were very glad to see him; I had kind of feared the worst after realizing just how fragile a condition he’s been in. No more bacon Dave. Oatmeal and salad for you from now on.

...

The Domestic Partner and I had this big long discussion this morning on the youth of our nation ( during my first mug of coffee, oy ), and how turned in they are, not dating or hardly communicating with each other. How the feminazi movement, along with the cheap hookup sex ap Tinder, has destroyed romance and emotional connections, how helicopter/bulldozer parenting has raised a couple generations who can’t deal with anything, how technology has made face to face interaction easily avoidable. Not to mention the liberal brain washing that the education system provides. Thinking back, everybody at Cheap League knows everybody’s name, job, and life situation, we all talk and kid around all the time. Only one or two are glued to their cellphone games some nights. And what I realized is, nearly everyone on the league is over 40.

As we were leaving I saw a bunch of teen boys clustered around a “retro” video game machine. A really cute girl was with them, standing outside the inner circle, completely ignored. Case in point perhaps, but I see the same thing with the teens at the bus stop up at the shack every school morning. Heck, the half dozen teenage girls there don’t even talk to each other, much less the 3 or 4 boys. They’re all neighbors and classmates. Teen girls, not talking. The world is upside down.

Other bits I’d write about, but have to make dinner instead:

Federal Judge: Obamacare Is Unconstitutional Without Mandate

The Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, was struck down by a Texas judge on Friday, a move that could suddenly disrupt the health insurance status of millions of Americans. The decision comes amid a six-week open enrollment period for the program.

Texas, along with 19 states, had argued to U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor that they had been hurt by a jump in the amount of people utilizing state-backed insurance. When Congress cut the tax penalty from the program in 2017, the states claimed, it essentially undercut the Supreme Court’s reasoning for finding former President Barack Obama’s signature legislation constitutional in 2012.

“The remainder of the ACA is non-severable from the individual mandate, meaning that the Act must be invalidated in whole,” O’Connor wrote in a 55-page opinion, according to Bloomberg. O’Connor is a conservative Republican appointee who previously blocked other Obama-era policies.

“As I predicted all along, Obamacare has been struck down as an UNCONSTITUTIONAL disaster,” President Trump tweeted following the ruling. “Now Congress must pass a STRONG law that provides GREAT healthcare and protects pre-existing conditions. Mitch and Nancy, get it done!”

And now the real battle begins. No kidding, the ACA is as anti-American a law as was ever written. But we don’t need the government to pass something else. No. If I want to purchase health insurance, I can. If I don’t, then I don’t have to. If I want to purchase a less universal policy, a “small blanket” for blanket coverage, then that is also my right.

If there’s any kind of government involvement here, make it so that individual payers get the same discount rates as the massive corporate bulk policies. I’m not buying into the “you save money because all these policies are identical and use the same paperwork”, because. Computers. Or the phony economies of scale discount BS. It costs them no different to sell 1 policy that covers 10,000 people than to sell that same policy 10,000 times. The same digital paperwork still needs to be done for each person.  That would be actual Affordable Care.

I just went through the annual Open Enrollment torture session. In my state, the cheapest policy you can buy costs $612 a month. The fancy policies go up to $1500 a month. That’s insane. Give me hospitalization coverage and 3 regular doctor visits per year plus an annual physical. And do it for $249 a month.

Open federal and state subsidized clinics for the poor people, and staff them with PAs, interns, and other medical school types willing to trade 4 years work for their education bill. You know, just like serving in the military. Call it Regular Care, dealing with the common day to day maladies, mild burns, and minor broken bones. That should handle at least 60% of the medical needs out there. Maybe make regional pre-natal care centers, and perhaps de-tox facilities. That should cover another 20%. Basic dental and vision covers another 10%. No, it ain’t perfect, but it would be a big help. And Medicaide might do for the cases that need actual hospitalization. And it wouldn’t have to cost the rest of us a bloody fortune every month. Hey, maybe the military can do without a couple new submarines, or gazillion dollar airplanes that don’t work anyway. And maybe if you clamp down on the welfare fraud you could come up with a few hundred billion more in annual funding. Of course, if you get a few dozen million illegals out of the country ...

Naturally the Dims are having a fit, throwing lies around everywhere. Who cares? It what they always do anyway.

More here, and a million other places. Will the limp Repubs move real quick and get something new done before the Dems take over in a few weeks? Gosh, this is their chance of a lifetime ... but that might mean giving up a bit of their Christmas break. Can’t have that. Damn the consequences to the entire nation forever.

This one aspect of the ACA remains crucial and is considered just by a large percentage of the population. Republicans would be well-advised to move on preserving this requirement immediately and find a way to codify it with new legislation. Yes, this judicial decision was a surprising turn of events, but that should be the impetus to act more quickly, even during the lame-duck session.

Indeed, the GOP would be smart to move swiftly to draft new targeted healthcare legislation that includes one or two other popular favorites, such as the ability to seek insurance across state lines, creating competition, and lowering prices.

The Democrats are likely — scratch that — certain to yell and scream about the “unfairness” of the end of Obamacare but will (eagerly) instantly move on to their beloved socialized medicine. (Cue Ocasio-Cortez.)

Republicans have to head this off at the pass if they wish to preserve free market medicine. Free market (capitalist-based) medicine has been vastly more important to everyone’s health than most realize, because it has been the impetus for many of the extraordinary high-tech inventions and advanced pharmaceuticals that have driven the life expectancy of Americans ever higher (until now, with the opioid crisis, alas). Moreover, it has induced many of our most intelligent people to be doctors. Don’t we want our best and brightest in that role? Without a free market, it wouldn’t be that way.

There is no final solution to healthcare. It is a commodity there never will be enough of. But we already have a form of socialized medicine in Medicaid. We should strengthen it. The best way to make that happen is through the free market system.

Now joining the ranks of the newly unemployed ...

You had ONE job. And you blew it!!

I Left My Heart, In San Fransisco Seattle Airport

Someone left a human heart onboard a recent Southwest Airlines flight from Seattle, causing the Dallas-bound flight to return to its origin.

Southwest described the Sunday evening incident in a statement to USA TODAY, referring to the human heart on Flight 3606 as “a life-critical cargo shipment” that was “intended to stay in Seattle for delivery to a local hospital,” though the Seattle Times reported that no Seattle-area hospitals confirmed involvement.

During the Sunday flight, the captain told the passengers about the heart to explain why the flight needed to redirect, saying the heart had been left on the plane following a previous flight from Sacramento, California, to Seattle.

Those on the flight were in shock but “happy to save a life,” passenger Dr. Andrew Gottschalk told the Seattle Times.

Gottschalk said flyers became concerned when they learned hearts are only viable for transplants for a few hours.

Help Wanted: Medical Courier. Must be willing to travel on short notice. Must not be a moron. Must actually pay attention to the task and remain in close proximity to the medical cargo at all times.

Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. 1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
