New Members

Just to show Doug and the other folks who write in and tell me that they want to make comments but membership registration is closed, here are the new members from the last month. All it takes is an email; provide a screen name/user name if you want one, otherwise I have to dream one up. The email address is right over there on the side bar in plain sight, now moved up higher so that not even a quarter page of scrolling down is necessary.

And the “guessed” member is still alive, with password “open sesame”, for those unwilling to do even that. It says so right in the comments pop-up; if you can’t be bothered to spend a few seconds to even log in, then I guess what you have to say isn’t worth the time for the rest of us to read.

Anyway, here are our latest BMEWSers:

renan
elinor1127
Reiuxcat
dedbird
BOGEYB
jameel
Eldad
miss tammy

Welcome aboard, and thanks for making the microscopic bit of effort required to join our horde.

Thank you KGrupa for the address update!

And for anyone else sending me mail, PLEASE don’t use a secure signature digital certificate crypto-thingy. I am not willing to go through the hassle of installing one of these - I tried, and the process sucks, and the good ones cost actual money - nor am I willing to use up my precious storage space keeping a list of certificates just so I can respond to your semi-annual email. And let’s face it, there is nothing any of us is going to say that requires encryption. If Obamba and his MIB want to shut down this blog and drag me off to Camp Ayers they are going to do it, and no security gizmo (that the NSA has the key to anyway, you know it) is going to make a bit of difference.

The Next To Die

Thinking about it I realize this is a very appropriate Fourth of July post. This country exists so that folks the world over can get away from crap like this, and live their lives here the way they want. That’s what the “melting” pot is all about, now that the left has pushed us to accept a “salad bowl” instead. Same thing with Teddy’s “hyphenated American” speech over 100 years ago. Come here, leave it all behind. That’s the real idea. Happy Independence Day!

Honor Killing Count Down For Young Actress

‘Harry Potter’ Star in Family Feud Over Hindu Beau

The father and brother of a British actress who starred in the more recent “Harry Potter” movies have been charged with threatening to kill the 22-year old actress, apparently in disapproval of her boyfriend.

The actress, Afshan Azad, played Harry’s classmate Padma Patil in the popular series. Her father, Abdul Azad, 54, and her brother, Ashraf Azad, are accused of threatening her in May during a fight at her Manchester, England, home. The brother is also accused of assaulting her.image

Details of the alleged threats and assault weren’t immediately clear, but prosecutors have said the Muslim men did not approve of her relationship with her Hindu boyfriend.

Golly this sounds awfully familiar. Completely controlled by the men in her family, even though she is a legal adult with a well paying nascent career.

The altercation occurred at the family home in Manchester, England. In addition to threatening her, Afshan’s brother, 28-year-old Ashraf, is also accused of physically assaulting Afshan and “causing her bodily harm.”

The potential role of religion in the case has raised questions about the men’s motivation.

“In traditional [Muslim] societies the family comes before the individual, and the woman represents the honor and purity of the family, so for a woman in the family to engage in a relationship that is taboo can be viewed as a violation of the family,” said Haroon Moghul the Executive Director of the Maydan Institute, a consulting firm that seeks to raise awareness of Muslims.

What a PC crock o’ crap. Harpoon the Maroon there is a lying apologist and spin doctor. “Raise awareness” translates as “sling whatever BS around that stupid people will accept.” Y’all ain’t foolin’ nobody here nohow Maroon.

Such cases can lead to what some people term “honor killings,” though the term often is denounced in religious communities as a misnomer.

“It is poorly named since there is no honor in killing a woman. What these crimes are about is controlling a woman and it is not something unique to just Muslim society,” Hussein Rashid, a visiting instructor at Hofstra University’s Department of Religion, told Fox411.com. “I can’t put words in these men’s mouths, but it sounds like they had real issues with the success of a woman in their household and that this is about a loss of power.”

a) No, it isn’t unique to muslims. The Amish are forever setting their daughters on fire for discussing bible verses with strange Mennonite boys from the next town over. NOT!! It is 100% unique to muslimes you lying sack of camel shit. OK, maybe some ethnics folks don’t like it when their kids go against tradition while living in a foreign country, and maybe they argue about it a lot at dinner time and send their daughters to their rooms without their bowl of mish-mish. Or whatever, wherever. But they don’t enlist the rest of the family to murder their own child. EVER.

b) I doubt that they had issues with her success, as long as she didn’t get any uppity idea in her empty female head and want to spend any of that money without their express permission. Or worse yet, having achieved financial independence, that she assumed that that kind of freedom implied and allowed her other kinds of freedom. Like dating whomever she wanted, or driving a car, or going out in public without her leash being held by several male relatives.

Oh, I take part of that back. This young woman is 3rd generation English!

Her family is originally from Bangladesh though both her parents were born and educated in the UK.

Which makes this even more inexcusable. Her grandparents were the immigrants. Mumsy and Daddy were born and raised there. I guess nobody did much assimilating over the past 50 years?
Fuck Pisslam. Fuck your sicko twisted un-assimilated family. Take the money and run. America beckons. Or else you will be the next statistic.

But but animals are our furry little woodlands friends!

Super-suburban Rye NY declares war on coyotes

Police given orders to shoot on sight

After two children were attacked in broad daylight this week in Rye NY, police have been ordered to shoot coyotes on sight. Last month a dog was eaten. Trapping efforts prior to this have captured 9 coyotes, but now the animals are coming into yards in front of groups of people and attacking children. They are not rabid, they are just bold predators.

Rye is just a couple miles north of New York City’s borough of Yonkers, and right on the north shore of Long Island Sound. It is highly developed suburbia, and a rather expensive upscale area.

This is what we said a few years ago ... it will take somebody’s kid getting attacked or killed before the sheeple wake up. Rye’s mayor has had to turn down requests for armed citizen’s posses to hit the parks and nature preserves and wipe out the animals. Instead they are bringing in “professional” trappers and hunters, and have told the cops to shoot first. Locals are warned not to let children or pets out after dark.

These coyotes are acting in packs, very similar to the ones that killed that woman up in Labrador/Newfoundland last year.

http://wcbstv.com/topstories/coyote.coyote.attack.2.1780945.html

And still some kneejerk bambilovers are blaming people and the old “encroaching on the animals habitat” song and dance! I’ve got news for them: Rye has been a fully built up super dense suburban community for far more than 100 years. It is past high time that these tree kissing idiots wise the heck up and realize that animals adapt, and like the bears in NJ, the coyotes are finding suburbia to be sweet easy living. And that children make tasty snacks.

Hey, this may actually be one situation where the cops and their little M4 patrol rifles are properly armed for the situation at hand. Assuming they get hold of some .223 V-max ammo. For 100 yard shots it’s perfect coyote medicine.

RYE — “Mommy, coyote!”

That’s what a 6-year-old girl yelled Tuesday night as a coyote viciously attacked her friend, Erika Attar, while they played in Erika’s backyard at 80 North St., police said.

The attack, which left the girl with non-life threatening bite wounds to her neck and torso, was the second coyote attack on a child in the city in the last four days.

Next door neighbor Stephanie Ellis was playing with Erika in the yard around 7:15 when the coyote latched onto her friend.
...
“The 6-year-old girl screamed, ‘Mommy, coyote! Mommy, coyote!’ alerting her father on the deck,” Connors said.

Parents ran over. The coyote ran off. One woman CBS 2 HD spoke with was next door.

“I saw, I actually saw the coyote and called 911,” the neighbor said.

The neighborhood borders the Rye Nature Center, where it’s believed the coyote came from, perhaps through a break in the fence that borders the victim’s yard.

Other neighbors saw the coyote running away.

“It was the size of a German Shepherd, healthy, running fast. I stopped and called police,” Doug MacLaury said.
...
This was attack number two.

Last Friday in Rye, a 6-year-old girl was mauled by two coyotes outside her home. She was given rabies shots and is home.

Since last Friday, police in Rye have fired a total of three shots at coyotes. Each time, the coyotes got away.

Rye Police began setting traps in April after coyotes killed a poodle in the area. They’ve captured nine coyotes so far. But now humane trapping has taken a back seat to eliminating the coyotes since they appear less fearful of humans and more willing to attack them.

“If they’re attacking small people, it’s a problem that needs to be dealt with in a serious way,” neighbor Phil Gibbs said.

Rye Mayor Doug French says the 3-year-old was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the Tuesday night attack. The girl’s house is behind the Rye Nature Center, which is located on a 47-acre wildlife preserve.

The latest attack occurred as Rye Police Commissioner William Connors was addressing a group of residents about the last coyote attack.

Police are now ordered to shoot on sight, and with summer vacation just beginning, parents are being told to keep their children inside at night.

One For Peiper

I got a letter from our long absent co-blogger the other day. He’s still out in Palm Springs. Not much personal news, no word on when or even if he’s returning, but he is finding the World Cup soccer nonsense a bit annoying and is irritated that the only way he can get his Dodgers games on TV is in Spanish.

So here is a typical Peiper Post.

Gyppos dig toilets on unapproved land

Locals furious, betrayed by Government

Yet another illegal land grab by itinerant thieves in England gets Go Ahead from spineless Whitehall

Villagers who formed a human barricade to stop travellers building a caravan site near their homes have suffered a further blow after the High Court granted permission for diggers to be brought on to the land.

Residents in the village of Meriden, West Midlands, blockaded country lanes and stood guard over the land, after travellers took advantage of a recent bank holiday weekend to start their illegal work.

They started their protest after the travellers began digging on the 10-acre site they owned but did not have planning permission from Solihull borough council to develop. Residents then prevented access to the land.

But the High Court has dealt a blow to their campaign, after it ruled the travellers could move large diggers and earth moving equipment on to the site.

It granted permission for the travellers to excavate the land to build sanitation facilities, including bathrooms, lavatories and water supplies, on the green belt land.

Within hours of Tuesday’s decision the site was being dug up, to the fury of residents who had maintained a 24-hour protest vigil protecting the site.

Several large diggers were seen on the site early on Wednesday morning, with the green belt land soon transformed into mounds of excavated dirt.

Locals claim the excavation being undertaken was too extensive for only sanitation reasons. They fear the ruling could pave the way for more extensive construction.

In May, the travellers had lodged a planning application on a Friday afternoon to use the land as a “gipsy site for 14 pitches to site 14 mobile homes, 14 touring caravans and associated ancillary developments”.

Council officials left for the weekend without examining the application and police ordered residents to remove a makeshift roadblock intended to stop diggers being brought on to the site.

A council spokesman said last night the judgement came after negotiations between the travellers and the council “with regard to the safety of children”.

“In granting the injunction, the judge was satisfied that the council recognises its responsibilities to the proper needs of those who are rightly or wrongly on the site,” he said.

Looks to me like the US is not the only country acting in direct opposition to the wishes of it’s citizens. This Travellers thing is another form of invasion, just like we have here with the beaners. And just like over here, over there the government actively supports the illegals. That is, when they can even be bothered to do their jobs, in between all the bank holidays and weekends off. The people over there are already at the human intervention stage. Can pitchforks and torches be far behind? And still their government ignores them.

Meriden is a bit of a rural community halfway between Birmingham and Coventry, absolutely smack-dab in the middle of England.

Still Circling The Drain

Another “unexpected” rise in unemployment

Oh, oh where is the Hope for some Change???

Weekly Jobless Claims Rise 13,000 to 472,000

WASHINGTON—Initial claims for unemployment benefits rose for the second time in three weeks last week, signaling that layoffs are rising.

The Labor Department said Thursday that new claims for jobless benefits jumped by 13,000 to a seasonally adjusted 472,000. Analysts expected a small drop, according to a survey by Thomson Reuters.

Greater layoffs by construction firms contributed to the increase, a Labor Department analyst said, as home sales and construction slumped in May after the expiration of a popular homebuyer tax credit. Summer layoffs in many school districts also added to the total, he said

The four-week average, which smooths fluctuations, rose by 3,250 to 466,500, its highest level since March.

The rise in layoffs comes as Congress remains at an impasse over extending federal unemployment benefits to those who exhaust their state benefits. More than a million have already been cut off. Millions more stand to lose their benefits later this month if lawmakers don’t pass an extension.

Claims have remained stuck above 450,000 since the beginning of the year. That has heightened concerns among economists that jobs remain scarce even as the economy has begun to recover from the worst recession since the 1930s.

“begun to recover”? Says who? And how do they say that with a straight face, if the unemployment numbers continue to have these “unexpected” spikes? Somebody is lying to us.

The figures come a day before the Labor Department is scheduled to release the June jobs report. That is expected to show a modest rebound in private-sector hiring. Overall, employers are expected to cut a net total of 110,000 positions, but that includes the loss of about 240,000 temporary census jobs. Private employers are projected to add 112,000 jobs, according to a survey of economists by Thomson Reuters.

That would be an improvement from May, when businesses added only 41,000 workers. But the economy needs to generate at least 100,000 net new jobs per month to keep up with population growth, and probably twice that number to bring down the jobless rate.
The unemployment rate is expected to edge up to 9.8 percent from 9.7 percent in May.

I don’t know about you, but I personally don’t feel economically stimulated. It doesn’t look like too many other folks do either. Gosh, that’s “unexpected”. I blame Obama and all the DC dimwits.

I will be spending today, and perhaps tomorrow, trimming hedges. How about that? I’ve got landscaping work, and I don’t even speak Spanish.
