Yeah we Yanks are royally pissed off!
1. Democrats caused the problem. Liberal programs to give loans to people who can’t possibly pay it back!
2. McCain left campaign to help cut a deal. Good for him!
3. White house bi-partisan meeting failed because Obama who lead the meeting is an idiot and tried to lay blame on the Republicans.
4. Congress let us all down with a screwed up bill full of pork and it didn’t punish golden parachutes short of a minor tax hike. Many more things wrong with it.
5. We’ve not been told who put the pork in the bill!
6. We’re being told that the bill failed because of Pelosi’s speech, this is complete BS!
7. Even Democrats voted against this lousy bill.
VOTE THE BASTARD DEM’S OUT OF OFFICE EXCEPT FOR THE ONE’S THAT VOTED AGAINST THE BILL!
These idiots on the hill had better stay up all night for the next 3 days and get a working bill together with zero earmarks and pork or there will be hell to pay!
I don’t mean to pick nits, but Congress consists of two houses: the House of Representatives, and the Senate. Therefore, McCain is a member of Congress, but he is not a Representative.
Still, the original post was correct.
Thanks Red, I can never keep those two straight. When the TV talks about “the House” they mean the House of Representatives, which the rest of us call Congress. Yep, they’re ALL Congressmen, though McCain is actually a Senator. One of Two, in theory representing his state’s interested at the federal level.
House of Reps is supposed to be the folks representing the people.
Since that pesky amendment that got Senators elected by the people, there ain’t a lick of difference between Representatives and Senators anymore.
