Where’s Sarah?
She will be here tomorrow w/What’s His Name - and gosh darn it I will be cooling my heels in a Drs. office (we already cancelled this appt for my son once due to grandbaby issues).
I am like sooooo mad - I wanted to be at the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition that was local - low and behold they didn’t bring the family in until 3 hours after we left (baby due date, appt).
We shall see - maybe I can get my hubby to drop me and take the young man to his appt and then come back and get me - not likely but I could ask.
Here btw is Lebanon OH - at the Golden Lamb (no hope to get inside, but maybe I could catch a glimpse). She and Mr. Palin just arrived (4pm) at the local small airport (not CVG). Pics at http://news.cincinnati.com

Sigh....pity she’s married, I’m the market for a new girlfriend.
On the serious side, I still find it insane that the media and the left in general are wildly upset when a woman finally blasts through the glass ceiling and they lambaste her, because she doesn’t have the kind of politics they want. I don’t know why, but such hypocrisy still amazes me. NOW should be celebrating because a set of ovaries is going to be a heart beat from the Presidency and there’s already talk of running her for the Presidency when McCain has had his run.
There’s another posting here in BMEWS pointing out that an Afro American conservative or Republican can be called everyone’s favorite, “house nigga”, with impunity. How does Rall do it? Is there something wrong with me? Why do I find such language highly offensive? Why don’t the Reverends Jackson and Sharpton have anything to say? Maybe it’s because “nigga” really isn’t the offensive “N” word. I mean, after all, it’s spelled differently. Has the NAACP now decided that it’s ok to call a black person a “nigga”? How about “jigaboo?” Then again there are classics such as: “coon”, “suede”, “spade”, “darkie” and “spook”? Come on guys, if one’s bad, they’re all bad. I’ll probably get in trouble for writing this. Blue eyed white guys (like me) aren’t supposed to use such words even in a discussion of the philosophical and societal implications of their permitted use by one segment of our society. Hypocrites really don’t like having their sheets pulled (no pun intended).
Equality is equality and decent manners are decent manners. As a society, we have decided that certain words and certain attitudes should be relegated to the dust bin of history. Fine by me. Why do those on the left get away with using such words and capitalizing on such attitudes, while those on the right are castigated?
When the “N” word comes from the right, it’s an ethnic slur.
When it comes from the left, it’s an occupational classification.
