to me (and no I’m not that way) that is what pure erotic is - not porno - the just to the edge that gets your little ole brain going so fast into fantasy that all of sudden - you are well, appreciative of the joke that the human body is.
It is one of the reasons I like The Full Monty - in our pop culture 18, blond, thin with bigg ta tas is in - when in reality we all fall short of the current ‘in’ look. Sorry, I haven’t been a size 3 since I was 18 - and back then they called me stick - can’t win for losin’ in this stupid culture.
Great pictures.
Thanks Wardmom ...
I love the way they were posed and the hints and tease without being gross.
Ever notice how heavy the legs were on chorus girls in those days? Maybe not fat but sure not underweight either.
The hairstyles in that era did not always flatter and the hats were awful.
Showgirls really were that. The gowns were outstanding and old Ziegfeld really knew something about showmanship. I like the music of that era too.
I think today we have a tendency to overdo in the sense that nothing is subtle anymore.
Sadly lost glamour. You are quite correct in that there is no subtlety anymore. We have passed titillating and gone straight to all the goods on display. Why that is more appealing than having something left to the imagination is beyond my comprehension. With mystique also comes class, generally speaking. Something else today’s starlets lack in abundance.
Picture numbers 3 and 5. Hubba-hubba!
Nicole, maybe we are into the instant gratification era and so it is straight in! Im with you and prefer my imagination, did Kin du Toit put these girls on his weekend women?
I too agree with Chris and Nicole. I’ve always enjoyed the mystery.
Chris ... Yes. Kim did use Follies girls, who have long been among my favorites along with the Gibson Girl. I got this grouping from Stumble Upon.

I’m thinking that might make a good legal definition of pRon: leaves nothing to the imagination.
I think color photography ruined a lot of the ‘mystery’ of women. Not to mention that amateur photographers had no idea of how to pose their girlfriends, or even to dress up the setting.
I love B&W photography. For some reason, you can take the exact same picture in color and it just doesn’t have the impact the B&W does. You can check this: compare any Ansel Adams photo to a color photo of the exact same view. No contest.
Christopher, yes to black and white photography. So much more dramatic as well.
WHich is not to say that there aren’t any swell color shots. Betty Grable comes to mind but don’t know exactly why.
