Tax Time

 

Income Tax - the greatest swindle of all time, and its been running nearly a century. Thank FDR for Progressive Taxes, the most evil incarnation of the whole idea.

   Here in the US public employees are not allowed to strike.

   In fact, the last time a public employee union decided to strike, Pres. Reagan fired all of them.

   Just wish more Presidents had the balls to fire union thugs.

2. And yet, all the government workers belong to a union. What for, if not to strike? Can’t be for workplace safety, OSHA has taken care of all of that. Can’t be for equal pay for equal work, the gov wouldn’t last a day if word got out they were paying certain types of people less. So what does the union do for them? Beats me.

4. Flat taxes?? Heaven forbid!!! Just think of all the IRS people who would be out of work! There would be no more thumbscrews to put on people a la Clinton whenever you wished! All those fine people working hard to keep the wheels of the government greased with cold cash!
   A flat tax would make things easy, but since when did the the govt. ever think of this?
   
   I live in a state where we not ONLY pay state sales tax, but I also pay state taxes, city taxes, a local bumper for the sales tax, and property tax, all this on top of Federal taxes. IT SUCKS. I have 4 tax forms to fill out each year!
   And they act like they deserve/earn it. All they do is wait a year, and it rolls on in. I can’t afford to fix my car half the time, but they sure as hell can afford nice shiny aluminum light poles for the elementary school which come in 120,000 over budget because the specs were wrong, and they had to replace them because of the local zoning regulations, with not a raised eyebrow from the planning commission. If I go $10 over budget on ANYTHING it’s a major thing.
   FEH… Look at the latest reports of the GAO and you will see that it isn’t just a local thing. we are getting screwed by the people who are supposed to “wisely administer” the “public trust” (going back to the Elliot Spitzer post, curse my ADD) Flat Tax, or a fair tax may be the only wat we can really afford to live anymore.. and an honest system of oversight.

   Bleh, Sorry about the ramble.. I’m just too tired.

6. I agree with Macker. I prepare taxes professionally and you would be amazed at how many
   idiots I have had calling me this week with pathetic excuses why they have waited so long and could I please do something. Oh yeah, I can probably add one more return to the piles that I’m already doing, but, it’s gonna cost ya! It’s called stupid tax(D. Ramsey).

7. Did my taxes a couple of weeks ago. Not hard to do, at least not for me. But I won’t mail until tomorrow because I owe. I’ve owed every year since the last kid moved out. I’m gonna milk every last penny of interest before the Feds and State get my money.
