  1. So what is the old girlfriends number? wink

  2. Reiuxcat, you are truly a sick man. Of all the obvious talking points in my post, you want the prostitute’s phone number. Very sad.

And no, I didn’t save it. I’m sure it will show up on my monthly bill. T-Mobile lists every call, incoming or outgoing, on all three of the lines I pay for. (me, wife, Mom; family plan.)

  4. Uh they can ‘stay’ on your plan - provided you are EMPLOYED and have the money to do it - it was 600 up front and 200 a month to keep our daughter on after she went off after graduating from college after the first 2 jobs (Secret Service, Army) fell through after she had an anaphylatic allergic reaction to carrageenan (seaweed) and after she fell into a whole body crisis - of which we learned she is NOT allergic to seafood (umm, she said seaweed), dogs, cats, pollen, and all the usual suspects (umm, again, she said seaweed) - so she left the medical establishment with an epi-pen no medical proof of the allergy (other than the 2 allergy panels and the epi-pen) -oh yes, they did send her a ‘no pre-existing conditions’ letter! And now she has no insurance - as we don’t have that kind of money. We have had all 3 adult children - come back home (son - more his things and cars - while deployed) - the Gov has made it hostile to the young and inexperienced to move out on their own. It wants everyone on the dole - and does everything it can to bring that about. We’d rather house our daughter (who is back in college - good luck on us paying that - Sallie Mae would never ever defer her - so she is in the arrears and thus can not get anymore loans right now) then set her out to end up one of ‘them’ - forever beholden to Uncle Obama for the scraps the Dems leave behind after lining their wallets and those of their campaign contributors.

And yes Christopher - by 26 I was living in a foreign country with my soldier husband and two children - a year and a half of college under my belt and about to combine work and going back to college (in addition to all the household/childcare stuff - first hubby wouldn’t even stop to pick up milk). This is a whole ‘nother US and time - they are encouraging the most lazy, uneducated, unmotivated, corrupt and ‘why bother’ generation ever.

    Sad.

  5. Oh yeah - I forgot - we STILL get collection calls for our land line - from the previous owner - almost 7 years later! It is why the computer answers our home phone - why bother 99.9% of the calls are for him - but we need it for the bundle of home/cell/internet/cable - which makes most it affordable. Sort of.

  6. Gee whiz wardmama. Can I move in with you? I can’t move in with my parents. Dads (both of them, the real one and the stepfather) are dead and Mom is in a nursing home. She constantly tells me “If I’d known I’d live this long, I’d have taken better care of myself.” She’s only 16 years older than me. Which tells you something since I’m the oldest child.

Actually, I’m in better shape than my parents ever were. They never did pay off their house. Mine is paid for. My savings go a lot farther without that mortgage payment. The downside of being unemployed is we don’t have any health insurance. Well, that’s not entirely true. My wife is employed. I told her to sign up on her employer’s insurance. Don’t do the family coverage. Just cover yourself. My health is fine. I’m more worried about her. She’s six years older than me. She needs the coverage more.

  7. Good grief wardmama, just change your phone number. And I’m pretty certain that you can talk to the phone company and specify no collect calls or bill-back calls. Probably even make that specification with a short list of exceptions (son, daughter, etc).

My cell phone costs me less than $10/month. I use a pre-paid one from Net10, and since I didn’t use it much the first few months I had it I now have a busload of rollover minutes, something like 3000. I don’t text and I don’t tweet, so I’m not wasting cell phone money on either of those.

We have a land line that comes along with the TV/internet package. We don’t even get a phone bill. What we used to pay for cable alone now gets us cable in HD with HBO, ultra-fast internet, and a landline with all the bells and whistles activated.

  9. Drew,

    1) how is peiper? I miss him.

    2) ask wardmama if she’d be an admin? If she says ‘yes’ make her one.
