  1. Uhhh, remember the Panama Canal?

    Remember the Iranian Hostage Crisis?

    Remember double-diget inflation?

Remember people walking away from their homes when they couldn’t make their mortgage payments?

Remember that dumb-ass cardigan sweater and the “American Maliase” speech?

Remember him carrying the empty garment bag off of Air Force One so he’d look like a “Man of the People”?

Remember his sucking up to every tin-horn dictator and enemy of the U.S.?

He should’ve stuck to building sub-standard housing.

We’d have been better off electing his brother Billy.

  2. Time is running out for Jimmy Carter to change his legacy.

With each new liver spot, he grows increasingly desperate to rewrite history.

Former presidents are elder statesmen and are expected to stay above the political fray. Jimmy Carter is proving to be nothing more than a cheap political hack.

  4. Carter is our best ex-president.  Look how much things improved once he left office.

  5. No, George Bush is not perfect. Yes, he has made mistakes.

    Have you forgotten the alternatives?

Al Gore? (the man has turned into a navel-gazing, egotistical whacko)

John Kerry? (consummate liar and gigolo)

I lose sleep at night just thinking what might have been.

    big surprise

(Sometimes we just have to settle for a Millard Fillmore to keep from getting stuck with a Benedict Arnold or an Aaron Burr)

Note: I still place Carter about sixteen levels below Fillmore in the overall rankings.

  6. Anon,I don’t know a whole lot of people who ever thought Bush was a conservative. He was just the only choice given the fools he ran against.

  7. I am no fan of Carter - but he didn’t attempt to give away America at every opportunity.
    Po

Ohh so he missed 1 opportunity.. gee im grateful for that..wasn’t he part of the plan to keep North Korea in the nuke arms production by going and getting a weak verbal agreement in 94 to stop nuke production so Clinton wouldn’t attack North Korea over it(i know that was probaly a very unlikely situation anyway but)

    Heres an article bout it..

  8. “Remember his sucking up to off every tin-horn dictator and enemy of the U.S.?”

There MAJ Mike, fixed that for ya! cool smirk

  9. I don’t give a shit if GWB sold American ports operations to George Steinbrenner or put Paris Hilton in charge of Homeland Security. For that asshole Cartah (the stepfather of Islamic Terrorism - remember the Ayatollah Kohmanie? ) to call ANYONE names takes more balls than Hillary.
That ain’t no GOP flag wavin’ either - I wanna know when Carter kicks off so I can piss on his headstone.

  10. Mushmouth is backpedaling now…

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18759682/

(forgive the link to PMSNBC, it’s the quickest one I could find)

...“certainly was not talking personally about any president.” WTF?  I say again...that peanut farmer is seriously delusional...to quote from the original:

Carter was quoted Saturday as saying “I think as far as the adverse impact on the nation around the world, this administration has been the worst in history.” (emphasis mine)

How the hell could that NOT be interpreted as “personal”, moron???

  11. Don’t forget - wasn’t Carter on watch when ole Saddam ascended into power? Seems to me the idiot who got a Nobel for Peace in the Middle East was actually the architect for the crappy state that region is in NOW.

Wonder why in President Carter only sees problems with Republican Administrations? What a crock of garbage.

You can always tell when a Dem has made a mistake - they have to come out (or send someone out) to clarify what they ‘meant to say’. Maybe they should start with saying what they mean and meaning what they say.

But then they aren’t in touch with the majority of Americans any more so that isn’t an issue at all.

Yeah I have to agree with Skipper et al - George Bush has not been perfect but certainly a he** of a lot better than the alternatives and the real point is that former Presidents should be doing other things than critisizing a sitting President.

American politics has descended into the gutter thanks to the Democrats. I just hope that it doesn’t destroy America. At the least it makes them look petty and makes America look bad.

  12. Bush didn’t do shit to the Saudis other than ignore the fact that most of the 9/11 hijackers were of Saudi origin. Which is negligence but not conspiracy, especially when you consider we need their asshat regime to remain stable because of the oil.

Reagan used the Iranians to counter the threat in Central America then tossed them aside before the Democrats in Congress could mount a real case against his administration for being heartless bastards when it comes to our country’s enemies.

Carter, on the other hand, back-stabbed an ally (Shah Of Iran), turned over control of a major country in the region to Islamic fundamentalists (Khomeini), tried a rescue mission with a military that his own party helped decimate and sucked up to Yassir Arafat and every bloodthirsty pissant in the Middle East - a tradition he continues to follow to this day.

How dare you compare Carter’s insanity to other Presidents who at least had America’s best interests at heart, sir?

This is no “sophomoric football game” and the people you are talking to are more than aware of Washington’s bullshit from both parties. Those whom you call “neo-cons” are just plain folks who have enough sense to observe that the Democrats are more adept at “screwing us” than Republicans.

Be careful how you sling tags like “flyboys” and “doggies”, jackass. Most Marines I know are good people who love America and want to see it do better. You are not amusing me at all, mister. Keep an even keel on your arguments and don’t turn it into personal attacks or you will lose all credibility here. Understood?
