I must admit, I’m a dyed-in-the-wool pop-culture agnostic. Blissfully ignorant of all things Hollyweird, television “prime time” and “pro” sports. The only “oscars” I know of is a tropical fish in the cichlid family, or some grouchy cartoon guy

Like most situations were a ‘group’ pats itself on the back - it has become even more irrelevant of late. The original point was to extoll great films - now it seems to extoll ourselves and our great beliefs. That is irrelevant. As network TV is losing because it is too full of itself and busy pushing their own agendas on the public, so too will the film industry.
And you are right with the vote with your wallet view on the industry - but it was Hollyweird’s desire to completely ignore that which was both good and viewed by a vast number as compared to those that ‘they’ thought were relevant. And now I’ve become redundant -so I’m quitting.
Hollywood loves movies about fags, lesbos, America haters, and any kind of deviant behavior. The Nazis said if you tell a lie enought times people will start to believe it. Those movies don’t make money and they complain that us regular folks don’t know a good movie when we see one. They don’t make many movies worth a shit and when they do, they make money. They can do anything they want I don’t care, it their business. Most people don’t think like them, but they keep pushing their political views throughout our culture. It’s not too much to ask for them to makes some movies worth a shit and that a family can see. Bruce Willis, Arnold, Jimmy Stewart, John Wayne to name a few are or where GOP and made some killer movies. You don’t agree with their politics so they have no creativity in your eyes because it conflicts with your political agenda. You seem a little closed minded when you don’t agree with us GOPers, which is typical with the left. The left gets pissy when the right pushes back. We are allowed to have opions too.
