1. National security? Valerie Plame was not a covert agent and had not been “out in the field” for over seven years. She was a freaking analyst sitting behind a desk at Langley. Her identity was no more secret than George Bush’s or most other public “servants”. Besides which, she and her fellow “analysts” at CIA are directly responsible for the intelligence foul-ups that led to 9/11 and the problems we are having in Iraq.
