  1. Ah Peiper the pathetic bs that gov wiennies perpetrate upon those whose lives and/or fortunes cross their paths. Believe me we go through it all the time with dealing with the military, the scr*wing we are getting now that all the school loans turned over into gov loans - and of course proving the negative that we aren’t employed at all, the hassle we used to go through with the ‘re-certification’ (16, 18, 21, 25) of our son as an adult medically dependent child (finally they got smart and this time he is set until age 65) - and so on and so on. Our son has to go around the TSA scanners (he will set them off)- and thus is groped and they swabbed down his wheelchair and his leg. (Which is the lawsuit that Jesse Ventura brought against TSA that was thrown out)

Life sucks right now in America and if we don’t get the current (p)Resident out - it’s going to get much, much worse.

  2. I can sympathise. Having had a few run ins with the INS over the years they do seem to by and large have had charisma bypasses. Its a tricky one because I have worked for UK immigration and dealing with rude, arrogant and drunk Brits day in day out can get pretty old. However the US immigration authorities seem to be obsessed with making people’s lives miserable. I wouldn’t mind this if they closed their borders and actually did their job, but millions of Central Americans are living in the US illegally. But they chose to make a massive issue out of relatively trivial shit. They seem to take it personally when someone doesn’t want to live in the US. Hard as it may sound there are other nice places to live. the US can be a hard place to make ends meet.

  3. Truly spoken Lyndon.
Before leaving on this last trip ... had to get meds that just are not available here.
So ... went to doctor never saw before just to get an Rx. And his charge for seeing us was $100 per person. So we spent 200 and paid over 200 for Rx. Then went to doctor who I’d seen before. Last year.  Had some work done and he wanted 120 because I had not met my MediCare deductible yet.  And the Rx I got from him was close to another 100. Last year my MediCare covered some Rx, but there’s been a change this year and so I paid for all.

But hey, Wal-Mart is still fairly reasonable.
