   But you raise an interesting point. Why exactly did France and England and the other nato stooges decide all of a sudden it was time to become concerned about Khadafi or Gaddafi or however you spell his name?

   Oil? Stimulating the EU economy by using up military stores, thus requiring replenishment? Distracting people from something else? obama seeking a bump in the polls? Or something else?

   I don’t know. Any thoughts?

2. Well, actually CT. I think migration come into it altho not stated.  Best guy on this subject, if he’s around, is LyndonB.
   If you look at a map of the area, Libya awfully close to Europe and especially Italy. Where tons of refugees where turning up. From Italy they find their way into the rest of Europe and of course, the ever welcoming UK and the benefits. But it might have been ‘racist’ to admit that. I think that’s one reason but have no real proof.

3. Never thought of the immigration/migration issue. I guess if they don’t have the balls to control it at/within their borders then it makes sense to control it at the source, although that seems a roundabout way of doing things.

4. Tim all of the above I suspect but JayD makes a good point. Libya under the Mad Dog did keep some of the African hordes at bay. He effectively blackmailed the Italians by controlling the numbers getting across the Mediteranean to Lampedusa. However I think the fall of these piss pot regimes in Egypt, Tunisia was too god of an opportunity to pay Gaddafi back for his support of the IRA, his murder of PC Yvonne Fletcher and the murders of hundreds of passengers over Lockerbie. I suspect though that the long term it will not work out so well when the mad mullahs take over Libya.
